A big Event is happening in canterlot and almost all of ponyville will go with or without a colt, But will a certain mare confess her love to a special somepony, before the big event?
A big event is being hosted by the one and only princesses of equestria in canterlot, and has invited everypony in equestrian to come and have fun in the big event happening.
But one certain mare, Rainbow Dash, wanted to go with some pony else as their companion, but nopony bothered asking her out to the big event...luckily she had some pony in mind that hasn't gotten asked. Although Rainbow hasn't confessed her love for that some pony. So Rainbow Dash will try to confess before the big event happening at canterlot.
But, Dash's thinking brings her down from teling the mare she loved the most... Everything doesn't go as planned until, the day of the big event...
Rainbow didn't always think fairytales were true...but, when it leads to Dash's slipper on the staircase...Any Dream Can Come True
Twilight said as she jumped up and down after reading the invitation that was sent from princess celestia all the way to her. The alicorn had been in the castle that she and her friends shared together. Twilight went to lay down on the couch as she took the letter with her, and re-read it, "It would be nice to take somepony to the event, since almost all of ponyville are taking some pony..." Twilight said as she mumbled under her breath, looking up at the ceiling high above her. If she were to take some pony with her, who would she take? She is a princess after all, so why hasn't anybody yet ask her? Has she done something wrong to make them not like her? Or were they already taken? Yeah taken is the answer. Can you believe almost all of ponyville has some pony to go with! Well, not everyone, she has seen some of her friends without a pony to go with. So she isn't the only one.
Later spike came in to see twilight staring up at the ceiling...not even once she blinked once spike, her number one assistant came in. It was all silent and still, no sound was made between the baby dragon and the older alicorn. That is until spike decided to go get twilight out from her trance. He walked up to the alicorn and stood in from of her face and waved a claw at her. She still stared into space...
"Hello?? Twilight?"
Suddenly the alicorn came back from space, and blinked, "Spike? What happened?"
"You were just..staring off to space so I tried to get you to stop and then you started blinking again!"
"I was staring off to space? For how long?"
"About maybe three minutes or so"
"Three minutes?!"
"Yes three minutes!....what were you thinking about anyways?"
Twilight let out a sigh, "Nothing I was just thinking about the big event coming up in canterlot.."
"Oh...well I got some good news! I asked rarity out and she said yes!!"
"She did? well I am happy for you spike! Hope you have fun with rarity in the party."
"Thanks twilight...what about you?"
"Well no pony has asked me yet but I am still waiting, probably I would go ahead and ask some pony myself if it comes too close to the party."
"Okay, well hopefully you find some pony before the party! Good luck!"
"Bye spike..."
Spike soon exited out the door of the castle all the way to the boutique, where his lady went to work on her dress. Rarity had asked all of the main 6 but only fluttershy, pinkie, and applejack decided to let her make their dress, while twilight and rainbow dash were told that their mother's were coming over to help get or make a dress for them. So rarity simply nodded a okay and went to work as soon as possible. Now she is in the boutique sketching away their dresses and hers. Luckily she only has four to work on.
Spike finally came to a halt and knocked on the door. Only, when the door opened, he saw fluttershy standing in the doorway. The yellow coated shy Pegasus smiled a sweet smile, and hugged the baby dragon.
"Hi fluttershy!"
Fluttershy let go of spike and replied, "Hello! You can go ahead and go inside where rarity is if you want!"
"Sure thing!"
Once spike came in flutter shy closed the door and began helping rarity out. Alongside there was the rainbow mare flying around to get the things that the two hard working mares needed. Flutter shy seemed to take her time on the dress of pinkie pie's for she had only begun. Rarity seemed fine as well at first but then she started looking all worried looking so spike went to her side and offered to help her out while dash helped the shy Pegasus.
"And vuala! I am now done with the sketches! ...Well except Pinkie's I had already done her's"
"Well, they look nice rarity!"
"Oh thank you spikey wikey! You are too kind!"
She said as she embraced the dragon with a warm hug. Spike smiled and hugged rarity back. But then they broke the hug and rarity started speaking again.
"So Dearie's, has any one of you been asked already?"
Flutter shy nodded her head, as rainbow shook it no.
"Congrats fluttershy!" She squealed, "Who asked you?" Rarity said with a beaming smile.
"Oh um d-discord...asked me" Flutter shy said as she his her face away in her hair for she was blushing pink.
"Discord? Well I guess that is good for you flutter shy! Hope you have fun at the party"
Fluttershy smiled and continued working. Sewing fabrics together while making sure it is what she wants.
"I didn't get asked..." Rainbow said as she gave fluttershy some more fabric alongside her.
"You didn't?" Rarity asked as she continued making sure the sketches were good.
"No..."
"Well I'm sure somepony will ask you by then! You can't loose hope now."
"I guess not, but I mean who would ask me? Almost all of my friends from cloudsdale has been asked out."
"Hm! Wait are you saying you...want to go to the big event with...a special somepony?"
Rainbow stopped in mid air, almost dropping the basket full of sewing tools. She blushed a little as she flew to fluttershy and dropped the basket next to the shy Pegasus. Rainbow sat down in front of one of rarity's large mirros.
"N-no...."
"Rainbow dear this is nothing to be ashamed of, I mean of course we would be squealing if some pony asked you out, but we are mares...we think like this!"
Rarity said as she put a hoof in rainbow's shoulder, and looked at the mirror to see dash looking down.
"Yeah...I guess"
"Well somepony will ask you I promise that and if not, ask them yourself"
Rarity smiled and went back to sitting down and started getting shape patterns. She looked back to see dash looking up at the mirror. She turned back around and started again with the patterns.
'I am not asking no stallion....I want to ask a mare I have in my mind...'
Rainbow dash thought, and soon she told her friends she had to go home to take care of tank, only she wasn't she went home to try to go figure out how to ask that mare that was in her mind...
But how? Maybe that mare is into stallions...or maybe not! What If she doesn't accept the question? And maybe dash would either have to go alone or not even go! And if she doesn't go, her mother would've done that dress for nothing...and she wouldn't have the pony she loves...
Rainbow sighed, and opened the door of her own home. "I'm home tank!" Rainbow shouted as she waited to see the tortoise come out of her bedroom. Her tortoise had always been there for her whenever she had problems...and she would just let go of the words from her mouth, so tank would understand what was happening. Rainbow closed the door behind her as Tank finally came propelling towards rainbow, once he got there the little tortoise put on a sooting smile for his owner. Rainbow smiled back, "Hey tank! How's my tortoise doing?" Rainbow said as she rubbed her cheek against his, "Tank...I have to let go of some words that are on my mind right now...want to hear?" Tank nodded.
Rainbow took the tortoise to her bedroom, and dash started talking aloud about how she would ask her, and if her mom would come in time, and almost all the things that were in her mind at the moment were told to her pet....Her tortoise only blinked at every statement coming from his owner's mouth.
"Argh! Tank I can't stop thinking or worrying!....What am i going to do..."
Rainbow said as she plopped her head down in her pillow, and gave out a sigh. She looked up at the ceiling with a sad face planted in her face. Tank always knew what his owner's face expressions ment, and he would think of something to make her feel better. Tank decided to come over to her...He started walking slowly towards his owner and sooner made it to her side. Rainbow put her hoof around her tortoise and hugged him close. Rainbow smiled, then sighed.
"One can only hope tank...."

Twilight soon decided to go for a walk out in the ponyville streets and think about the big event. She saw evrypony walking around, some looking at her, some just looking ahead. She ignored it and continued walking down until she saw a bench and sat down in it. It was so peaceful just sitting there watching the birds fly around the sky, like free ponies, and the trees rustling in the wind like if they were dancing, and the wind providing the song for the trees to dance to. Flowers stood in position on the ground, water streaming past the rocks at a stream, and the sun outside behind a cloud hiding while greeting the ponies with sunlight and warm. That is until twilight's stomach started growling like a dog trying to catch a burglar. Twilight forgot to eat breakfast this morning, with being too focused on the questions on her mind. She stood up on her legs and started walking to a nearby resturaunt for brunch.
"Mmm! Hayburgers!"
Twilight said as she ate the hayburger with delight and ketchup! Some pieces of hayburger and ketchup were left around her mouth. She cleaned her mouth with a napkin and started eating hayfries shaped like little pony horeshoes! Some ponies around her minded their own business, dome just staring at her, by the alicorn ignored it and continued eating.
Soon twilight finished eating her meal, and went to continue her walk around ponyville. She was all fine and dandy, until she started thinking about the big event again.
'I went to a resturaunt...sure I saw some ponies looking at me, but none asked me yet...don't get your worry on now myself! We all still have a couple of days before the event, and there is going to be a pony asking me before the event!...hopefully'
Twilight thought as she continued to look at the ponies walking around her with a partner to be with...
'At least some of my friends have somepony...like bon bon and Lyra! But why am i still sad...why?'
Twilight ventured through and through the ponies until she got back to her own castle. She opened the door, and went inside back to the living room and sat down...re-reading the invitation....
It was now early morning, the rooster has let out the alarm, the sun was shining, and the birds were chirping their songs, but some ponies were still in bed...asleep. The only sound that filled the air was, silence...no hooves were heard, and no talking...Yeah it was really early in the morning, somewhere at five o'clock a.m...Where nopony woke up...except for maybe pinkie pie and a couple of pegasi that work for clearing the skies...

Rainbow was sound asleep, she has been awake till two in the morning last night while tank was asleep, curled up next to her...Dash couldn't stop thinking on how she would ask that special somepony...she was a princess after all, so she had to ask before anypony else does...or else her special somepony would go with some pony else and might never confess her love for her. Of course she would ask her! If only she had the courage to do so herself..
Tank yawned, and opened his little eyes to see that he was in his owner's bed curled up on her back, while dash rested on her side, facing the left. Tank smiled, and slowly got up,hearing the birds chirping songs...and began slowly walking to the edge of the bed to see the outside of his owner's window, after a couple of steps tank made it to the edge of the bed and turned his neck to the right, and looked out of Dash's bedroom window, and saw a couple of pegasi moving clouds...tank soon realized it was now early enough to clear the clouds, and all of her weather team was waiting for her. Tank's eyes became big as dinner plates, he turned around to be meeted with his owner's feet, and slowly, he lifted his little feet and touched Dash's ticklish spot, her bottom hooves.
Rainbow started giggling, and opened her eyes to see tank at her bottom hooves. She still felt sleepy, but whenever tank woke her up from tickling, she knew that she was late...for something. Rainbow sat up and stretched her arms wide. She stopped and put her hooves back down.
"What am I late for?..."
Tank slowly picked up his foot and pointed to the owner's cutie marked blanket. Tank then removed his foot, and looked back up to his owner...it took a little for his owner to finally realize what she was being late for.
"What about my cutie mar-" Rainbow suddenly looked up with her eyes big as dinner plates, now tank could see she understood, Dash then screamed, "I FORGOT I HAVE TO CLEAR THE SKIES TODAY!"
Rainbow screamed as she fell off the bed and landed on the floor, on her bottom. She rubbed her head, and looked out the window, and saw that some of her teammates were bright and early kicking the clouds away.
"I'm late!!"
Dash screamed as she exited her room, and went straight galloping to the kitchen. While her pet tortoise followed with his propeller. Tank watched as his owner was running around everywhere trying to find the box of cereal of the wonderbolts she had, she had been eating them ever since she was a little filly, and luckily there is still some today. Finally Rainbow succeeded and found the box of cereal. She poured on the cereal and milk on a bowl, and began eating away...
Soon Dash finished her breakfast, and went upstairs to brush her hair a little. After a few brushes she hugged tank goodbye not before giving tank his breakfast, and zoomed out the door not before closing it shut. Rainbow flapped her wings as she looked everywhere to try to find one of her teammates that she saw working through her bedroom window. After a couple of minutes of looking everywhere she found one! Cloud kicker...she saw as she kicked the clouds roughly, and when the made stopped dash smiled and flew towards her teammate.
"Hey there cloudkicker!"
Dash said as she flew towards the Pegasus that was kicking clouds away.
"Hello Dash! How's it going? Are you alright?"
"Yeah I am...why?"
"Well you usually aren't late for kicking some clouds out of the sky!"
"Yeah..sorry about that, and heh don't worry about me! I'm fine.."
"I see....well let's get cloud kicking!"
"Yeah!"
With that the two mares started working away. Rainbow kicked the clouds as hard as she can! Never stopping! Same with cloud kicker. That is until cloud kicker asked the question...
"Hey Rainbow, are you going to the big event in canterlot?"
"Yeah I am, you going?"
"Yes! Of course! Why would I miss a big event like that"
"Yeah..."
"Has anypony...asked you yet?"
"Not really...b-but I am planning on asking...somepony!"
"That's good! Well good luck with that!"
Rainbow nodded and started kicking clouds again, but this time with less force...
'How will I ask twilight? I mean I am asking a princess to go with me! And she is royalty! I hope mom finds a good dress...at least...But...how will i ask her? Maybe a card? Or something?'
Rainbow let out a sigh, and began kicking the clouds with more force this time...like if they were the questions on her mind. They never have gotten off her mind since when rarity asked her that question...
Soon everypony was done clearing the skies, and they went to go have fun, and do tons of other stuff they had in mind.. Dash didn't do any of that, she only sat at a nearby bench, near a little pond of water next to her. She looked at her reflection, a rainbow haired mare with magenta colored eyes...wanting to ask somepony that she has trouble asking.
'A card? Eh I'm not good at writing good stuff on there..or am i? ....what about me asking her? Yeah just ask her dash! That is all you need to do! But I just...can't!...I mean...seriously what happened to my confidence? Am I really this weak when it comes to asking some pony all the time??....why ask even? I can't slow dance...or do anything that would make me move move my hooves with hers...'
Rainbow sat there for a while looking at ponies walking around her, passing by with their friends, and even some with their lovers....She stared at her reflection again in the little pond of water that was left near the bench after all that rain that had passed last night...
'I see a mare...that doesn't even have the courage to ask a question that keeps popping up in her mind...a mare that isn't very good at dancing...and if I was...I would just dance my way to courage and ask that mare I have been thinking about for a while now..
'Hm, twi is a princess...so she must know how to slow dance...maybe...I can just ask?...'
Rainbow's eyes turned as wide as dinner plates again, and smiled as the lightbulb in her head lit up with an idea that she could not resist.
'I can ask her for slow dancing lessons! And that way she might think I am into her or something, then I can ask before the day of the big event, and she would realize what I mean and say yes! This is the perfect idea I had since forever this week!'
Rainbow stood up, and started flapping her wings. She took off to her home, to go tell her pet tortoise about the plan she had in mind for she has yet to confess her love for the one that always had stood up for her, the one who cared, for the one who she loved the most...
The baby dragon said almost out of breath as he ran through the door of the room Twilight was in at the moment. Spike stopped near the alicorn, and held the letter in his claw as he waited for Twilight to take it.
"Thanks spike.."
Twilight said as she took the letter from the little dragon's claw with her magic, and opened it. Spike walked over to a bean bag chair, and plopped himself into it, sliding down once he did. Spike sat back up, and looked back up at Twilight to see her still reading it. He put his claws on his cheeks, bored.
It took Twilight a while to read, which for Spike it seemed like forever! The little dragon waited and waited, he looked up at the clock that was above him...it only has been a minute. Why does he get bored easily?Then finally Twilight placed the letter on the table, and turned to face spike. Spike then looked up, and smiled taking his claws away from his face.
"So...What did it say?"
"Spike...I need to go to canterlot to help plan the party, all the rest of my friends are coming with me, you will have to stay here and take care of this castle..can you do that for me?"
Spike nodded with a happy smile, the one twilight knew ever since she was a little tiny filly. Twilight smiled back, and gave the little dragon a hug.
"Thank you my number one assistant!"
They hugged for a little, which seemed like forever, a good kind of forever. You know...good forevers..That is until Twilight gasped, and broke the hug.
"Spike, while I go ahead, and get everything ready go ahead, and Inform my friends about it."
"Ay! Ay! Captain Twilight!"
Spike said as he put his claw on his forehead, twilight giggled. Spike smiled, and ran to the door opening it, and started running off to inform the others. Spike made sure the front doors were closed before going away.
Twilight sighed, and started getting her bag, and grabbed her items she needed for the long train trip that was ahead of her present time. She looked up at the group picture ahead, in front of her face, while she placed some stuff in her bag. She looked at it closer, seeing the rainbow maned made that was hovering above her head in the picture.
'...She is g-good at taking pictures...No! Don't think like that me...she might not feel the same way...or maybe..ARGH!!'
Twilight sighed, but then looked back up at the picture. She stared at that mare in the picture. When will she confess to her? Or will dash confess to her? Psh she had no idea. But maybe some time to relax and get herself ready, then maybe she can go confess to her.
"You really like that picture don't ya twi?"
Applejack said with a smile, standing in the doorway with he others. They smiled back and came inside the room Twilight was in. Twilight let out a nervous laugh before putting away the other stuff she needed in her bag. Applejack strapped correctly her saddle bag before looking up at the alicorn with a worried expression planted on her face.
"Sugarcube is everything...alright?"
Twilight froze...what would she say? That she was alright? Or to tell her friend to not worry? Twilight cleared her throat, and opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted by a familiar raspy voice she knew, and the pony she was worrying about.
"Yeah, you look all gloomy are you alright twi?"
Twilight froze once again as she saw the pegasus' nuzzle meet up with hers. Twilight stood there looking at the magenta colored eyes that were staring back at her, shimmering with the lightbulbs in the room. The alicorn saw as Rainbow looked at her with a confused look.
"Hello? Earth to twi? You alright?"
"Huh? What? Oh sorry Dash i was thinking there for a while"
"Eh it's alright, but...what were you thinking about exactly?"
"Uhm nothing! I was just thinking about....a-about..."
Twilight couldn't stop staring at the mare that was right in front of her. She shifted her eyes a little before her cheeks turned a light pink. She moved away from Dashs muzzle, and nervously chuckled.
"I was thinking a-about the....event"
"You sure?"
"Yes i-i'm super sure"
"Don't worry Twi we are all thinking about the event! No need to worry"
"O-okay..."
Rainbow chuckled before hugging the embarrased alicorn, and smiling. The rest smiled as well. It was silent only for a little until Rarity gasped, and interrupted the silenced room.
"Did you know that Dash asked me to do her mak-"
Before Rarity could finish the sentence, Dash put on a firm face, broke the hug between her and Twilight, and flew over to Rarity quickly, and out her hoof on Rarity's mouth.
"You promised me you wouldn't say a thing until the party!"
Rarity got out her hoof, and pushed Rainbow's hoof out of her mouth before responding to Dash.
"I know, i know, i'm sorry! But it is too good to not tell anypony since you are wearing it for the first time."
"I know but you promised Rares, Please!!"
"Fine i won't tell anypony..."
"Yes!"
Applejack chuckled, before interrupting their conversation.
"Wearing what Rainbow?"
"I'm going to wear something i have not wore before in front of you guys for the party"
"Hm something ya haven't worn in front of us...i wonder what it is~"
Applejack said as she nudged Rainbow's shoulder. Rainbow blushed a little before flying up into the air, crossing her hooves.
"Yes s-something i haven't worn i-in front of you girls.."
"I'll try to find out before the party!"
Applejack said as she began trotting to the door with a satisfied smile. The rest followed. Twilight stood in front of the group before looking around to see if they forgot anything for the party, which was only a few days away, which worried Twilight and Dash.
Twilight smiled, "Alright girls, to the train station!"

"ALL ABOARD! TO CANTERLOT!"
"That's our train! Oh~ Where is pinkie!"
Twilight said with a worried look as she looked everywhere, same with the rest. Twilight slowly turned around to face her back before seeing Pinkie Pie's face in front of her.
"I'M HERE!!"
"DAH! Pinkie! Stop scaring me like that!"
"Sorry, and aren't we supposed to be heading inside the train??"
Twilight's eyes went big before she screamed,
"THE TRAIN!"
She said as she turned towards the train, and started running towards it while the rest of her friends followed her. Luckily the doors were still open or else they would have been late to prepare the party with the princesses. The door closed behind them as they all fell down on the floor.
"Ow! Watch it there silly door!"
Pinkie said as she giggled, and got off the floor, as she began bouncing to find open seats. Twilight groaned a little before opening her eyes to find she was on the floor while Dash was right next to her, opening her eyes. Twilight got up, and held out a hoof to the mare that was still on the floor. Rainbow opened her eyes, and looked up at the alicorn. Twilight smiled.
"Come on lazy butt! We have to go find a seat!"
Rainbow smiled, and took Twilight's hoof, and stood up on her hindlegs and frontlegs. Twilight giggled before grabbing her bag on the floor, and began to walk cross the seats while Dash was following right behind her. Twilight looked everywhere for a seat, only to find filled seats with ponies looking up at her. Twilight blushed a little , and began walking fast to find her friends sitting down, but three stallions took the seat that was right in front of her friends. Twilight gulped before puttin her hoof on one of the stallion's shoulder, the stallion's head turned around, and saw the princess. The stallion gasped,
"Princess Twilight! What are you doing here?"
"Uh~ i-i came here to ask if y-you wouldn't mind if me, and my friend sit here..."
"Oh no problem you can sit here, and we will go ahead, and find another seat!"
"Thanks"
The stallions moved out of the way, as Twilight sat down near the window. The stallion looked up at the alicorn.
"No problem, you and your-"
The stallion turned around to see Dash looking up at them with a serious face. The stallion chuckled
"Well, if it isn't Rainbow Crash! What are you doing here with the princess? Hm?"
"I'm going to Canterlot with her, and if you don't mind i would want to sit down next to her!"
"Well what if i block you from sitting next to her whatcha going to do about it Rainbow Crash?"
"I will try to fight my way to her!"
"Psh i'm sure you can't even get passed one stallion!"
Before Rainbow could reply Twilight cleared her throat, which caught the three stallion's attention.
"As Princess of Friendship i demand for you to let my friend sit here with me, and you stallions to find your butts a seat."
Twilight sounded loud, and clear with her voice really firm, which scared the stallions.
"Your majesty i will sure!"
They backed up as Rainbow walked foward, and went ahead and sat next to the alicorn. The stallions began walking away, but one of them looked back.
"Hey Rainbow Crash, i bet you can't even defend the Princess, she defended you! Ha! Just imagine that Crash..did you switch roles or something?"
Dumbell said as he walked away chuckling, so did the two other stallions. Once they were out of Dash's sight, she sighed. 'Can i really defend Twilight? She defended me from THEM...i should thank her! And...maybe we did switch roles a little....i didn't even know what to say! Or do...but luckily Twi stood up for me...'
Twilight out a hoof on Dash's shoulder, and smiled.
"Don't worry Dash i'm sure they won't be bothering you when i'm around."
"I know...Thank you for that Twi..."
"No problem that is what friends are for.."
Rainbow smiled at the alicorn before resting her head on Twilight's shoulder. Twilight smiled a sweet smile, and looked out the window before putting her hoof around Dash's shoulder. Rainbow looked at Twilight for a little before slowly closing her eyes, drifting off to sleep on Twilight's shoulder...
Rainbow was in a garden, a really...really beautiful one at most! Rainbow breathed in, and out, before continuing walking around a bush of roses she had been behind of.
"This is nice~"
Rainbow made it past the bush, and began walking to another field of plain grass. She looked down to see herself wearing one of Rarity's little spring dresses, it was a simple white little dress, which reached to Dash's feet, it was really poofy from the skirt, and had a little nice top filled with flowers. Flowers.
"Why did it have to be flowers......"
Rainbow sighed as she ventured a little further, to see a bunny stare up at her with it's big eyes. Rainbow stared back.
"Er hi there little bunny?"
The bunny smiled, it looked normal for a while but then it slowly started turning purple...really purple!
"DAH! WHAT KIND OF BUNNY ARE YOU?!"
Rainbow said as stepped back a little staring in horror as the bunny's face started to change a little...
The bunny soon had his face pure purple....and with a pop it had Twilight's....face?
"What the"
Rainbow said as she took a step foward until the Twilight like bunny started talking away.
"Wake up Dashie! You have to wake up! We are going to be late you big fluffy ball of RAINBOWS!!"

"Rainbow!!~ Wake up!! What are you dreaming about?!"
Twilight was shaking Dash back and forth trying to wake the sleepy head up from her sleep.
"COME ON SLEEPING BEAUTY WE HAVE TO GO NOW!! CELESTIA AND LUNA ARE WAITING!!!"
Twilight started imagining about how Celestia would punish her from being late, and luna! Maybe being thrown into a dungeon?! Away from her friends in the forest?! SENT TO THE MOON?! Twilight stopped thinking and saw as the pegasus was opening her eyes slowly...Dash's eyes opened fully only to see Twilight holding her with her purple hooves wrapped around her "arms" as the alicorn held her close. Rainbow's eyes went big...
"GAH!! TWI!"
Rainbow said as she jumped a little. She looked at Twilight for a while but started wiping her eyes with her hooves, and yawned a little before looking at her friend.
"Dash! What in Equestria were you dreaming about??"
"I-i don't know..i was dreaming about me at some sort of forest, then i spotted a bunny, and it's face...slowly turned into your....HEAD!"
Rainbow said as she shuddered a little from the memory. Twilight blinked, as she looked at Dash with a shock like face expression...
"You? You were dreaming about....yourself in a forest?"
"Yees...."
"Are you...from disney?"
"What? No! But i bet you are"
"...I bet...nothing!"
Twilight giggled a little.
It was silent for a moment...Twilight stared at Rainbow trying to look at the pegasus' magenta colored eyes. Dash closed her bag, and started putting it on only to see the alicorn staring at her. Dash slowly turned her head from facing her back to facing the alicorn that was sitting on the right side of where they were sitting. Dash moved her eyes a little, looking at Twilight...The alicorn did no movement...except for blinking her eyes. Dash stared back...the longer Twilight stared the more blush came to the pegasus' cheeks. Dash felt her cheeks start to get warmer...too warm!
"Twilight!!"
"GAH!"
Twilight jumped a few inches away from Dash, while holdin her hoof in her chest. She looked at the pegasus again only to see an expression of confusion, and blush planted on her cheeks.
"What was all that staring about Twi?"
"Oh, i-i uh was thinking of something...and i-i stare when i do that...."
"Then...why were you staring at me?"
"B-because...i only stare at certain ponies?"
Twilight's eyes went wide as she covered her mouth with her own hoof after she heard what she just said. 'Did i just say that in front of her?? What am i even saying?!...Stop thinking! Dash is looking at me!'
"C-certain ponies?"
"Y-yes i mean n-no! ARGH!"
"....Twi? Are you alright? What are you even trying to say?"
"Something! I mean n-nothing.... "
"What? T-twi you are not making any sense to me..."
"I'm sorry...i get weird sometimes..b-but! Don't worry about it...im fine!"
"A-alright..."
"...Dash?"
"Yeah?"
"Did i make your cheeks go pink?"
".....n-no..."
"Are you sure? Do you have a fever or something? Here let m-"
Twilight said as her hoof started moving fowards Dash's head, that is until Rainbow moved away a little. Dash looked passed Twilight, and through the outside of the window, to see her friends sitting down at a bench, waiting.
".....uh- h-hey look! Our friends are waiting for us i'm sure we will be late if w-we don't hurry along to Celestia, Luna, and Cadence! You d - don't want to be late would you??"
Dash chuckled as she got up from her seat, and started heading out of the train, biting her hoof on the way out. Twilight sat in confusion as she saw the Rainbow haired mare head out of the train.
'I guess i did make her blush...'
Twilight giggled as she got her bag, and out it on before heading out of the train. She saw as her friends were sitting down at a bench, she looked at the pegasus again, and saw her still chewin her hoof away. Twilight smiled and started walking towards her friends.
"Twilight dearie what took you guys so long?"
"N-nothing we were just talking is all..."
"Talking eh? Does that explain why Dashie here is chewing her hoof?"
Pinkie laughed a little as she pointed her hoof to the hoof-eating mare that was sitting right next to the laughing pink pony. Twilight let out a nervous chuckle. Rainbow looked up at the alicorn again. Twilight looked back. Rainbow took her hoof out of her mouth, and smiled.
"Are we going to the castle now?"
Twilight froze in place for a little bit, staring at her friends with eyes as big as dinner plates. That is until Twilight inhaled, and shouted loud enough to capture everypony's attention.
"....CELESTIA!! WE NEED TO GO TO THE CASTLE NOW!!"
Her friends jumped a little from the loud yell that came right from the alicorn that stood merely inches away from themselves. Twilight froze again, and looked around to see ponies staring back at her, includin her friends. Twilight gave out a nervous laugh, and blushed.
"S-sorry everypony...didn't m-mean to scare you!"
The other ponies nodded as she finished her sentence, and the noise of movement and talking filled the air once again. Twilight turned back again to her friends.
"Come on! We are going to be late!"
They nodded before they stood up, and ran following the running alicorn...

"W-we are...here"
Twilight said as she took one last step before collasping, trying to catch her breath.
"You could've used your wings twi"
Twilight looked back at the flying pegasus that was hovering above her with a serious face on. Rainbow looked back as she saw the seriousness on the alicorn's face, Rainbow let out a nervous chuckle before flying down, and taking a few steps back away from the staring alicorn. Twilight looked back as she saw the two guards that were standing in front of the castle, and sighed before getting up from the ground.
"Ehem....um..we are here to see Princess Celestia"
Twilight said nervously as she looked up at the guards. The guards stared back. They nodded before moving away their huge "sticks" as a sign to say "Come inside". Twilight nodded back as she began walking inside while the others followed inside as well...

"Princess Celestia! Luna! Cadence!"
Twilight exclaimed in excitement as she ran to give the Princesses a hello hug. Her friends stood there smiling as Twilight hugged the Princesses one by one.
"Hello Twilight, i'm guessing you are here to help plan the big event?"
Celestia said with a sweet smile planted on her face as Twilight was inches away from her smiling as well.
"Yes i am! And i am really really EXCITED!"
Twilight said as she hovered up a little with a big grin on her face. Celestia giggled. Cadence stepped up to Twilight as soon as the purple alicorn landed safely on the ground thanks to Dash's training skills. The purple alicorn folded her wings and looked up at Cadence. Twilight grinned before they both started,
"Sunshine sunshine ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!"
Both giggled, and stopped. Celestia stepped foward with a warm motherly smile.
"It is getting close to nighttime, i invite you, my ponies, to come have dinner with us!"
"I would be grateful to come Celestia!"
Twilight said with a smile as she turned around to see what her friends would say but only heard some "aqesome!" "Woo hoo!" "Yippee!" "Woowee!" "Ohh~!" Coming from her friend's mouths. Twilight turned around to face Celestia again.
Twilight sat down on the chair that was now in the room of where they were going to eat, as her friends joined in at sitting down. It was around seven thirty at nighttime, the cooking took a little longer than expected but soon the food was ready!
"Ohh~ I see cupcakes for dessert~!"
Pinkie said as she giggled with excitement. The rest looked at the tray of cupcakes that were placed at the middle of the large table. The table was filled with food! Cupcakes, Sandwiches, hayburgers, and so much more! To the ponies that were sitting down at the table, it seemed more like a feast than an ordinary dinner they would always have. Like Pinkie always ate cinnamon buns for dinner, Applejack would eat some sort of apple like treat, Fluttershy some sort of healthy yummy snack, Rainbow just some Wonderbolts cereal, Rarity some good tasty meal like a salad or just milk, and finally Twilight would eat a sandwich with a side of broccoli (which she tried to convince Dash to eat) on her plate. But today, no ordinary dinner! Just some good food that would fill up their stomaches a little. Every one of Twilight's friends licked their lips just as they saw the trays of food, with their stomach growling.
"Well, my little ponies, it is nice of you to join us in this feast today, having you hear is really delightful, for now i announce that we all eat our food that we have here on this table!"
Celestia said with a warm smile, before each of the main six and princesses, started filling up their plates with all sorts of food. After the noises of talking, plates clattering, drinks being poured, and moving chairs, everypony was done, and they began eating their food, taking their time with each bite they took.
It took a while for them to eat, not too slow, not too fast. Everypony ate as they talked to each other making some noise that led acroos the long hallways of the castle. Nopony fought, nopony worried, nopony was sad, nopony was nothing that had to do to make the situation a bad time. But of course in some nights there always is a single small or big mistake, and tonight was one of them for Dash. It was all fine and dandy, until that single question had to be asked from the Princess of Love...
"So uh Fluttershy i heard you are going to the big event with discord!"
"Oh yes! And i am very excited!"
"That's good and Rarity you are going with spike?"
"Oh yes deary, the cute little dragon asked me!"
Cadence nodded before asking the rest again.
"Pinkie Pie, you are going with Cheese Sandwich?"
"You bet i am!! Me and Cheese are super duper excited!!"
Cadence giggled, "What about you Applejack?"
"Oh ah am going with Big Mac and AppleBloom, together to sell some apples again!"
"Splended! I will love an apple treat when you get there!~ and you Rainbow?"
Rainbow froze, as she looked up at Cadence, right in her eyes.
"Uh...n-nopony has asked me yet..."
"Well i am sure somepony will ask you! Or you can ask them yourself right?"
Rainbow looked down at her plate, then to the mare that was sitting to her right, Twilight. Twilight looked back at her wih worried eyes, saying what is wrong. Rainbow's heart raced, as she saw everypony stare at her. She looked up at Celestia before standing up, making noise with the chair as it moved back.
"I-i think i am full...i will go ahead and....go to my room, thanks for the dinner"
Rainbow said as she began walking to the doors, and opned them once she got in front of them. She looked back at her confused friends, and closed the door. Rainbow began walking through the long hallways, only to hear the doors open from behind her. Rainbow turned around, only to see Twilight, the mare she had wanted to ask forever, was outside the doors, and was now standing there looking straight at Dash. She began walking up to Dash.
"Rainbow, is everything okay?"
"Yeah..."
"Rainbow, please...tell me the truth"
Rainbow turned around, where Twilight can only see the back of her head. Dash sighed.
"I-i'm fine Twilight...You don't have to worry about me.."
"Dash, i do worry, and you can tell me! I'm your friend remember"
"Twi, i can't tell you..."
"But why not?"
"I can't Twilight...b-because...UGH! i-i'm sorry Twi i just can't tell you!"
Rainbow said as she ran towards her room, where she belonged. Twilight stared as the rainbow haired pegasus ran for her life, and turned to the right to another long hallway. 'Why...why can't you tell me Dash? Is it something that you are hiding? A friendship problem? No that can't be, she won't betray her friends like that, does it have something to do with me? Is she doin-'
Twilight let out a sigh, as if that sigh will make her thoughts of worry go away from her mind. She walked back slowly, until she reached the opened doors, which weren't so far away. Twilight entered as she closed the doors, with a sad expression.
"What happened Twilight?"
Fluttershy said as she looked at the expression on her friend's face. She did not like it that much, Fluttershy doesn't like her friends looking or being sad...
"She...i think she is hiding a secret from us..."
"A secret? How could Dash hold a secret from us?"
Applejack said with a kind of serious tone in her voice. Twilight looked up at her friends and the princesses.
"I-i don't know...i asked her what is wrong but she refuses to tell me anything"
Cadence's eyes shifted a little from let to right while a serious expression was planted on her face. Cadence's lightbulb lit up, so did her eyes.
"When i mentioned if anypony asked her, she didn't say a thing"
Cadence said as she looked at luna. Luna looked at Cadence's eyes.
"She didn't say a thing, i know that, but what does that have to do with the situation?"
"Well, as you see, she excused herself from the table once i mentioned that question, which could mean she could have a problem with the whole did somepony asked you question, and may be hiding something from...i can't believe i am saying this but...she may have a love problem!"
The rest of the ponies blinked once Cadence finished her sentence of explanation.
"Um...Did i say something wrong?"
"H-how did you figure all that out?"
Twilight said as her voice sounded in awe. Cadence giggled.
"Twilight, i am the Princess of Love, i know when somepony has a love problem, plus it is my job."
Twilight smiled, while Cadence returned it.
"Then, i say you should go talk to her Cadence, maybe she would say what is wrong!"
Cadence nodded, as she got up from her chair, and started walking towards the doors.

Rainbow flew as fast as she could untilm finally she reached the door to her own room. She flew down, and landed on her feet, folded her wings back, and let out a sigh before opening the door, and closing it. Rainbow looked around, and walked over to her big bed that stood in glory in front of her. Rainbow looked at it. Purple covers, and light pink pillows...yep she chose this room when they arrived, claiming it her own room. Rainbow flew up a little, before throwing herself into the bed landing in the middle of it as she looked up. Rainbow looked to the right, and took a pillow, hugging it tightly, then looked back up at the ceiling...
'Why do i behave like this? I am such a misbehaved pegasus, yep me that is what i am...or not. Why did i even say that in front of Twi? I could've at least say the truth...that q-question that makes me worry! But the real reason is...why can't i just tell her how i feel? And ask her to the party? Seriously, i can just ask her!'
Rainbow said as she sat up while clutching her pillow, getting all excited like if she really was going to ask her.
'But i...i just cant!'
Rainbow frowned, as she turned to her left side. 'I'm such a weirdo..'
Dash turned the other way...It only took her a couple of minutes before she sighed, and sat up in her bed. She looked to her right only to see a white pony like statue standing there in the corner of her own little room. Rainbow squinted, and saw that it was one of the statues Rarity had at her boutique. Rainbow gave a smirk, and got off her bed, and started walking straight towards the statue. Rainbow took a few steps before stopping in front of the statue. Rainbow looked back to her bed to see one of her scarfs she had sticking out from her luggage. Dash walked back as she opened her luggage, and got out her scarf. She looked at it, it was a purple colored scarf...one that Twilight had given her for christmas since Dash told her she liked that color. Rainbow walked back wirh her scarf in her mouth, and put it around the statue pony's neck, only to imagine Twilight staring back at her with a smile. Rainbow sighed as she put her hooves on the statue's front hooves, and looked to the left, where her door was...Then a noise had to interrupt, Rainbow's ears went up.
"Rainbow? Are you in there?"
Cadence said as she started opening the door. Rainbow let out a girlish scream before she grabbed the scarf, and quickly flew back to her bed, and sat down. Cadence fully opened the door to see Dash sitting down with a suspicious grin. Cadence entered the room, and began walking towards the rainbow maned pegasus, as Dash looked at her with wide eyes as she clutched her scarf. Cadence giggled.
"What are you afraid of? It is just me"
"...yeah i-i knew that!"
Cadence smiled as she closed the bedroom door with her magic, and sat down next to the nervous pegasus. Cadence got comfortable, moving the bed a little as she did. Cadence looked at the eyes of Dash.
"So...What have you been doing?"
"N-nothing i was just sitting right here! Yeah, here...at the bed...doing nothing...at all"
"What were you doing.."
Rainbow sighed as she knew there was no point in aruguing with the princess, "I was with the statue..."
"I see...Are you okay?"
"Yes..."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes...yes i am"
"Then...why did you turn your back on Twilight? Please tell me what is wrong, i am here to help you.."
Twilight. The pony Dash was thinking of was mentioned by the Princess of Love, the one that was sitting next to her on her left.
"There is no reason.."
Rainbow said as she layed down on her forelegs facig the opposite way of facing foward. Cadence smiled, as she put her hoof on Dash's shoulder.
"Please?"
Rainbow looked back at Cadence, to see the princess smiling as her hoof was still on her shoulder. Rainbow thought for a little, to either tell her or not...Rainbow sighed as she sat back up, and looked down at the floor, facing the front.
"Cadence?"
"Yes?"
"D-do you promise to keep this a secret?"
"A secret?"
"Yes...i don't want you to tell anypony else..."
"O-okay, i promise i will keep it a secret, you may begin telling me what is troubling you"
Rainbow looked at Cadence before looking back down again.
"Okay...well, ever since me and Twilight met we were friends...but after a few months, i started to know her better...and i started....i started..."
"Startes...what?"
Cadence said with a soothing voice as she tried to figure out what the pegasus was trying to say.
"I..started having feelings for...her! T-Twilight!"
"Wait..you started having feelings for her?"
"Y-yes....but ever since i just hung out with her...and never really told her how i feel. Now that the event is coming i see alot of ponies with partners...a-and i have tried to confess to Twi but my thinking brings me down, and....i just can't bring myself to either confess or ask her to go with me to the event..."
Cadence smiled a sweet smile as she put out a hoof, and hugged Dash bringing her closer to herself. Rainbow looked up at Cadence. Cadence looked back at her.
"Your thinking is bringing you down? How? How does your thinking trouble you?"
Rainbow started shuffling her hooves as she began talking.
"My mind keeps telling me that she isn't into mares...and that if i ask her or confess...she would say she doesn't feel the same way..and that is what i'm afraid of! Plus she m-might also not be my friend!"
Rainbow said as she brought her hooves to her eyes, covering them. Cadence hugged her fully with her other hoof.
"No no don't think that way! You know Twilight is a sweet mare, and she wouldn't do that to a friend, just like you wouldn't abondon your friends that way, and later you would have to find out yourself if Twilight is into you or not...soon you might confess and ask her to the party."
Rainbow took her hooves away from her eyes.
"I guess you are right...."
Cadence smiled, "Well i am glad, and again, i promise to keep this a secret from anypony else."
"Anypony else that is until i confess to her..."
"Well, then i promise to keep this a secret until you confess to Twilight."
"C-can you do the Pinkie promise?"
"Sure! Cross my heart, and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!"
Rainbow smiled as she hugged Cadence back. It was all silent, as the princess and the mare hugged each other with their eyes closes, enjoying the little moment, that is until Rainbow's stomach grumbled. Cadence opened her eyes, so did Dash, Cadence giggled.
"I am guessing you are still hungry!"
"You bet...i only ate half a sandwich!"
Cadence smiled, "How about i bring you some food? Or are you ready to head back?"
Rainbow looked up at Cadence, "I think i am ready to head back"
Cadence smiled, "Then come and follow me"
Rainbow climed out of the bed so did Cadence, and they both headed out the bedroom door, and started walking back towards the room where the others were at. Cadence stood in front of the doors as she opened them. The ponies that were eating looked back to see Cadence smiling along with Rainbow by her side.
"DASHIE~!"
Pinkie said as she turned around in her chair with a big grin. The others did the same as they stood up and ran towards Dash to giver her a hug back, as Cadence walked back to her seat where she belonged, next to Celestia. Celestia looked at Cadence and smiled, so did Luna. Luna gulped down her food before saying,
"Soo what did she say?"
Cadence giggled, "It's a secret only i can know"
One of Celestia's eyes twitched, as Luna's grin grew bigger. Cadence watched them in confusion.
"YES! I WIN THE CAKE! HUZZAH!"
Luna said said as she giggled, grabbing a piece of cake, the delicious part of the cake the baker's baked. Luna began happily eating the cake as Celestia let out a wimper as she watched Luna eat the piece of cake. Cadence rolled her eyes playfully as she giggled.
It was late night at the Canterlot castle, and everypony has finished eating their "feast" like dinner. Lots of talking were heard from the dinner room. Everypony was talking to each other, smiles planted on their faces as their mouths spoke words. It was late night at Canterlot, but not too late. Pinkie was still a little hyper, she was tossing balloons from across the room, Rarity was talking to Princess Luna, Fluttershy was tossing balloons from one side of the room to Pinkie Pie, Applejack was talking to Celestia and Cadence about what food they would serve at the party, and Twilight and Dash were sitting at the table, talking.
"Come on, Fluttershy!! There are two more balloons to your left!!"
Pinkie said with a giggle as she bounced balloons off her forehead. While Fluttershy was trying to keep up with the flying balloons that were being tossed by the hyper pink pony.
"C-could you go slower Pinkie Pie??"
Fluttershy shouted as she bounced a couple of balloons off her forehead, some balloons landed on a short distance, and some landed from a long distance, from where Fluttershy stood.
"HERE COMES MORE!!"
Pinkie said as she launched more balloons towards the poor shy pegasus.
"Oh my.."
Tons of balloons fell upon Fluttershy softly. Fluttershy's head popped out of the pile of balloons that were around her, as she looked at Pinkie Pie from across the room with a grumpy face. Pinkie gave a nervous laugh before, walking towards her shy friend.
"Ehe sorry?"
Applejack scribbled down a few things in her little notepad she had with her at the moment, as the princesses told her some food that would be requested for the party which would come in a few days, which seemed really...really close. As Rarity, and Luna talked about what kind of dresses they'd wear for the event.
"So...you want it all dark blue, and black? Right?"
Rarity said as she let out a nervous chuckle, looking at the serious Luna that was staring back at her. Luna giggled. Rarity gave a confused look at the giggling princess.
"Yes, how did you know?"
"I-uhm...l-lucky guess?"
"It sure was"
Rarity gave out a sweet smile as she looked up at Luna again.
Twilight looked at the pegasus that was lying down on her shoulder with sleepy eyelids. They both sat down at the long table while her other friends sat at the end of the table, or on the sofa. Twilight smirked.
"Sleepy there Rainbow?"
Rainbow opened her eyes fully, and sat back straight down.
"What no..."
"Really? You are resting on my shoulder."
Twikight let out a giggle. Dash yawned before looking at Twilight with sleepy eyes. Dash slid a little closer to the alicorn.
"Just because you see me...tired...doesn't mean i'm tiired.."
Twilight smirked a little at the sleepy pegasus.
"You are tired Rainbow, you can go ahead and sleep here a little if you want, i will wake you up when it is time for us to go to bed."
"Are you sure about it Twi?"
"Yes i am."
Twilight said with a smile, while Dash smirked. Twilight held out a hoof to her friend, as Rainbow got closer to the alicorn, and got her head to rest on Twilight's shoulder. Twilight sighed as she watched all of her friends talking to the princesses while, Herself and Dash watched.

Rainbow heard someone say as she jumped in horror at what she heard. Who is there? Was it some monster they had to fight again? Psh couldn't possibly be it...but who was talking to her? Was it herself? Or was she going all loco in the coco?!
"W-who's there?"
"It is me..."
"...you are what? You know 'me' doesn't give any clues at all! Besides your creepy voice that is.."
"I am your fears."
"My fears? Psh i didn't k-know my fears even talked."
"Acting all confident again? Hm! I can easily tell you are scared."
"I-im not afraid of you, you creep!"
"Of course you are."
"Yeah!"
"If you are so 'confident' then why don't you go ask your crush to the event?"
"..."
"Hm?"
"I just don't want to..plus i still have a few days till the event you know."
"Hey, this is your mind you are talking to..i know you want to ask, but you are too afraid that she won't feel the same!"
"...You are right..."
Rainbow said with a whisper. She knew it was true...all of it. She was defeated by her own mind, whenever she tried to ask her, instead she would just say nevermind.
"Pfft, of course i am, i'm your mind!"
"If you are my mind, then why do you say negative things to me?!"
"Well, it is because i am your fears...your negative thoughts you know, i am one part of your mind."
"Then stop bothering me!"
"I won't..that is until you confess your love to Twilight Sparkle."
"I JUST CAN'T OKAY?! LEAVE ME ALONE! FOR ONCE!"
"No..."
Rainbow gave out a growl before laying down, covering her ears with her hooves hoping that her fears would go away from her. That is, until she heard magic being used from far. Rainbow opened her eyes fully, and looked up...to see Luna flying slowly towards her. Rainbow stood up, and gave a bow to the princess.
"Hello, Rainbow Dash."
"H-hey princess Luna...what are you doing here?"
"I prevent nightmares, it is my job here in Equestria."
"Oh...i knew that."
"Of course,...what seems to be the problem?"
"...Nothing."
"It seems like something to me."
"I-no it is not.."
"Rainbow."
"F-fine it is something..."
"Do you mind telling me about it?"
"I-i can't...i can't tell you..."
"You d-do trust in me right?"
"Yes..."
Rainbow Dash~!! Rainbow~?
Rainbow Dash groaned a little as she shut her eyes. Luna looked everywhere, Luna now remembered how this worked..It happened to her a bunch of times, like that time with Scootaloo, she knew Dash was waking up...and Luna had to go. Luna began flying backwards, away into the blackness away from the pegasus. Rainbow opened her eyes to see Luna going away. Rainbow's eyes went big as she saw the princess go away
"Luna!"
"DON'T FORGET TO HAVE COURAGE IN YOURSEELF~!!"

Twilight said as she held the sleeping pegasus in her hooves. She shook her once more, before she saw the pegasus' eyes slowly opening, Twilight let out a sigh of relief. Rainbow's half opened eyes, looked at Twilight, before opening fully. Rainbow let out a scream, leaping away from the alicorn.
"GAHH!!"
"AH!!"
"Twi! You've got to stop doing that!"
Rainbow said as she took in breaths, trying to calm herself down from the scare. Twilight let out a nervous giggle, before Dash looked at her again. Twilight looked away, with the look like if, she was trying not to laugh. Rainbow sighed, before looking at the alicorn.
"How long did i sleep?"
"Hm...Almost an hour or so."
"That long?"
"Yes...you are a sleeper!"
"You got that part right!...Why did you wake me up anyways?"
Rainbow said as she stretched a little.
"Well, i woke you up, because we were heading to bed."
"Already?"
Twilight nodded with a sweet smile, before she got up, and started walking to the open doors. She stopped as she went halfway out of the room, and looked back at the staring pegasus.
"You coming?"
"Oh, i-i yes, i am!"
Rainbow said with a nervous smile planted on her face, as she flew up, starting to fly towards where Twilight was. Twilight looked up at the pegasus with a smirk, then started walking out of the room, heading down to her bedroom. Rainbow followed, except she had to go to her own bedroom.
"So...Excited for the Event?"
"Hm? Oh, yeah...sure."
"Something wrong?"
"Psh, no.."
Twilight gave a are you serious look to the pegasus. Rainbow looked back at her. Rainbow sighed.
"No Twi, there is nothing wrong."
"Are you sure? You know, i can help with whatever is wro-"
Rainbow flew down in front of her bedroom door with a quite fast landing, before opening the door, looking back at the confused alicorn.
"Nothing. Is. Wrong!"
Rainbow said as she gave a weird face back at Twilight, before slamming the door shut. Silence now filled the hallways, as the alicorn stood there. Twilight continued walking by Dash's room, looking at the door as if she can see whatever Dash was doing in her bedroom, with a worried looking face.
"Where are you, CONFIDENCE?!"
Twilight jumped a little from the shout Dash gave out at the end of her sentence. Twilight gave a shocked face before trotting fast down the hallway, down to her room. Twilight looked back once she got to her bedroom door, seeing black...It was all silent...nothing moved, nothig talked, except for the blue pegasus that is. That is until Twilight jumped again from the sound of hooves. Twilight shakily opened the door to her bedrroom, and got inside her room, slamming the door...shut.

"Why won't Rainbow talk to me? I mean, she is my friend after all.."
Twilight said as she sat down at her bed, with her lamp turned on, lighting the whole dark room. Twilight sighed before resting on her side, and throwing the blanket over herself like nothing. She turned off the lamp, before slowly drifting off to sleep, closing her eyes. She smiled, as she started to dream. Dream about anything that kept on her mind since this morning. She could see herself, at the beach, sursurrounded with big beautiful waterfalls, and palm trees, everything tropical galore! She smiled, as she let out a sigh of relaxation. The alicorn began walking, passing by shells, and other few ponies she knew by heart. Twilight cut off a few trees with her hoof, sliding them down so she can pass by. That is when she started hearing music...Hawaiin music.
"Ooh! This is really nice! I wonder what else this place has to offer to me~!"
Twilight said as she came out of the palm tree leaves, she saw her friends surrounding in a circle, like if they were watching ponies soing something.
"H-hey guys! What are you watching?"
"Oh! Darling! Pinkie finally persuaded Rainbow to do the hula with her!"
"The what?!"
Twilight said with a shocked face, as Rarity took her hoof, and started leading her in front of the crowd of her friends. Dash? Hula? No way! How would Pinkie even persuade Dash to do that dance?! Twilight finally got lead to the front of the group...her heart stopped at what she was seeing...she was seeing Dash to the..the hula. Twilight saw as Pinkie giggled, while she showed Rainbow how to do the hula as Rainbow followed along watching Pinkie do every step...
"H-how did she-?!"
"Oh that was easy! Pinkie got some free coupons to a fancy restaurant, and since you and Dash are together now, Pinkie told Dash if she did the hula, she'd give Dash the coupons for your next date!"
"Wait..COUPONS?! TOGETHER?! DATE??!!"
"Why yes!"
Twilight's wings suddenly popped out from her body in her dream...and her wings did the exact same thing in reality...Which made Twilight wake up. Twilight opened her eyes fully, to see she was being covered from her blanket, from seeing her whole room...
"ARGH!! But it felt so real!!"
Twilight let out a whimper before facehoofing her face. She laid back down, hoping she'd fall asleep again, and dream the same dream again...but for the next five minutes she kept tossing, and turning, tossig and turning, there was no way to stop this now. Twilight sighed, as she got up from her bed, and started heading towards her bedroom door, which she opened. Twilight looked to the right and to the left before walking straight heading towards the kitchen the princesses had. Which she soon came to. Twilight sat down in one of the kitchen's chairs.
'How did that feel so...real? And why did my wings have to wake me up?! That was like...a magical dream.'
Twilight said as she rested her hoof on her cheek, looking up at the ceiling thinking about...the pegasus...again. Twilight then stopped when she heard hoofsteps coming her way. The alicorn froze in place wih a shocked face, looking at th open doors..as if it were a horror movie. That is when she saw the cyan blue pegasus walk in, and turn her head to see the alicorn...Rainbow jumped in horror, like if a cat was scared by a ball hitting the floor out of no where. Twilight let go a sigh lf relief, and giggled once Dash calmed down. Rainbow looked at her back with a smirk, as she began walking towards the alicorn.
"What are you doing here, egghead?"
"I came here because..i couldn't sleep."
"Hm, i couldn't either!"
"Really?"
"Yeah...i had a nightmare."
"A nightmare?"
"Yes.."
"Oh, well..now that we are here..what do you want to talk about?"
"Isn't it a little too early to talk, Twi?"
"Well maybe, but it might tire us enough to make us go to bed."
"Sounds good to me!"
"Yes, so...what do you want to talk about?"
"Hm...i don't know..what do you want to talk about egghead?"
"How about the...event?"
"The event?"
"Yes!"
"Well, alright."
Rainbow said as she jumped on to one of the chairs at the kitchen table. Once she did, she looked at Twilight.
"So...What are you gonna be wearing to the event?"
Twilight asked as Rainbow looked up to see her face, seeing her sparkly purple eyes.
"Well, my mom said it will look to be somewhat blue with a lot of sparkles everywhere, which sounds kinda really girly, but you know... Just a one time thing."
Twilight giggles a little before replying, "It sounds pretty nice to me, I already can imagine you in it and you look..."
"Look what?"
"Beautiful.." That word almost came out as a whisper from her as Dash can see a tint of pink starting to form on her cheeks. She turns away from Rainbow looking to the right as the cyan pegasus rests her cheek on her own hoof.
"You really think so?"
She nods her head, yes. It was silent for a little, until Dash broke the silence a couple of seconds later, trying to break out the awkward silence.
"I bet you will look more b-beautiful though, Twi."
Dash stutters as she rests her head on her two hooves, trying to hide the blush that is starting to form on her cheeks. Twilight giggles as she looks back.
"Thank you."
"Hm...Do you know what your dress will look like, Twi?"
"A little, my mom told me that she is planning to get a kinda golden dress with some shimmering gold shoes."
"Wow, shimmering gold shoes?"
"Yep! I cannot wait to see them before the day of the 'event', and try on my outfit."
"I can't wait to see you in that dress.."
'WAIT WHAT?! DID I JUST SAY THAT!? Okay, okay Dash! Don't panic! Twi's looking at you! SAY SOMETHING!'
"...Ehe! I m-mean I can't wait for everyone to see you in the dress!"
'Oh Celestia, you blew it!'
"Oh! Well, thank you."
Twilight replied as she giggled a little again.
"Ehehe yeah..."
"So...is your mother, Firefly, entering with you?"
"Hm? Oh, yeah I think so, she always wanted to enter just like in those Disney movies.."
Twilight smiled, "Same with my mother! She got the idea since one of her cousins were there last year, her cousin said everything looked like gold once you entered!"
"Hah! Yeah! I can't wait to see it either! I heard Celestia changed the room up a bit since the last grand galloping gala."
"Yeah, she told me in one of her last letters, she said she loved the result."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah."
Twilight started to yawn, before looking at the clock, 4:38. I look at the clock realizing it's time for us to sleep before the day of tomorrow, as we have alot of work to do. Twilight starts walking away, heading towards the exit of the kitchen. Rainbow quickly raises a hoof before yelling something I did not expect to come out of my mouth at all...
"WAIT! I NEED TO ASK YOU SOMETHING!"
Twilight jumped as Dash screamed, believing she woke up every guard gaurding the castle.
"Y-yes, Rainbow?"
She said as she looked at the cyan mare, who was shoveling her hooves.
"I-i was wondering, you k-know..if maybe..."
"Maybe what?"
"Maybe you can show me...how to s-slow dance?"
Rainbow said as her cheeks started beating up, by the way Twilight was looking at her, confused, which quickly went away. The alicorn giggled.
"Of course, meet me tomorrow at noon, in the ballroom floor. I'll be there!"
Twilight says as she exits the room, walking towards her guest room. As soon Rainbow sees the cost clear, she doesn't squeal, and begins flying towards her guest room, shutting the door quietly. Rainbow throws herself in the bed, before turning off the lights, and getting under the covers. The pegasus sighs happily, drifting off to sleep.
Mmm. The smell of fresh baked pancakes, dances in the air, as Dash smiles in delight. Her stomach started to growl, making her wake up from her dream.
"F-five more minutes..."
Growl.
"No! I don't want to go to school today..."
GROWL.
"Arghhh.." She said as she slowly opened her eyes to see her own guest room lit up a little. "Morning already?" She muttered as she sat up. Dash looked to her left to see her door a teensy bit opened, though she can still smell breakfast. 'Maybe Pinkie woke up early...wait!'
Rainbow quickly got out of bed, combed her hair, and walked quickly out the door. Walking towards the dining room, she can hear voices coming from inside, the princesses were awake! The Pegasus entered slowly to see everypony with a smile on their faces as they all are pancakes. What time was it?
"Darling! It's 11:07! You almost missed breakfast with us."
"Sorry, I just had a nice dream last night and...I couldn't wake up."
Dash said as she sat down next to Princess Luna and Rarity. Applejack looked up from her plate with a smirk.
"Nice dream? Is that why you wouldn't wake up every time Pinkie yelled at you sleeping beauty?"
"I'm not sleeping beauty! It was a great dream, and I didn't want to wake up from it and ruin the ending."
Luna giggled, "Yes, I know how much of a great dream you had."
"What do you mea- Oh..."
"Mhm!"
Luna smiled as she poured more syrup into her six stacked up pancakes. Creamy butter, soft pancakes, scrumptious berries, and sugary syrup! Celestia sighed with a smile as she turned her face to the excited looking Luna.
"Don't put too much syrup in your pancakes, Luna, you don't want to end up getting a tummy ache."
"Syrup is syrup tia! You can't get enough of this!"
"Ohh Luna."
Celestia playfully rolled her eyes as she turned to Twilight. The purple alicorn looked up with a smile waiting for her teacher to say something.
"Remember the ballroom I was telling you about? Well, it is open to only you, your friends, and us for now. You can use it for practicing or view."
Twilight gasped, "Really?! Oh this is amazing! Thanks Celestia!"
"No problem."
Rainbow took a swallow of her pancake as she listened to the two.
'Perfect! I'll remind Twilight of those lessons later. Thank Celestia!'

The plan was now clear. But, every time she saw Twilight alone, Rainbow tried asking her for the lessons, only for Luna to call Twilight back in the room to practice a speech. When will her crush actually be free from princess duty? She sighs. Everypony is busy doing something. Rarity, dresses. Fluttershy, music. Applejack, food. Pinkie, decoration. Twilight, princess duty. Rainbow? Psh, she's got the day off since she already knows how to do a sonic rainboom.
She goes outside the castle, to the back, to adore the nature. Butterflies, birds, bees, squirrels, and many more animals peek from behind trees to see who wanders such a beautiful garden.
"Don't mind me.."
Rainbow whispers as she ventures a little closer to a little lake seeing her reflection once she reaches it. Squirrels, butterflies, and birds surround her, but she didn't mind...a little. Sitting down on her bottom, she touched the surface of the water with her hoof, sending a fish away. The pegasus smiled.
'Why couldn't I stop going fast for a moment? Take time to see what Twilight had always been seeing as a unicorn? Nature can be nice...'
A small yellow bird makes its way to her side and peeps. Dash turns her head to the right. The yellow bird sings a little note. Rainbow whistles back. The yellow bird smiles as it began to flap his wings. Up in the air, just above Rainbow's head, it sings a longer little note. Dash smirks, and stand up on all fours.
Feel the air, the summer breeze. Just below me swims colors and fins, Up above flies clouds of fluff. While the air brings scent and wind. Come join me.. Out in the green, out in the color of the rainbow... Just take my hoof and take a stroll, Just like life is supposed to feel, Our hearts are pumping in a racing beat. As we walk the floor of the beautiful color. Come join me... Out in the green, out in the color of the rainbow... We should see what nature is supposed to look. Come join me... On the green The colors of the rainbow..
The tiny bird sang a few more notes before becoming quiet. Rainbow giggled.
'Wait...'
She looked around checking to see if anypony had been spying. Only to find animals. She let out a sigh of relief.
"Thanks for the song."
The bird nodded.

Rainbow continues until she reaches the front of the canterlot castle, and goes inside again. She walks up the stairs of where Celestia and Twilight will stand to shake the hooves of other ponies. When she reaches the top, she finds that there are big gold doors added in the wall. Has it been there before? She wasn't sure, but, even if she wasn't supposed to know about what is inside, her curiosity got the best of her.
The large doors of the room where everypony will be at in the event, make a noise as Rainbow opens it. Just a glimpse of the floor makes her want to slap herself to see if this is not a dream. She's right, it isn't. Pure gold floors, gold walls, gold everything! It's like living in every mare's dream before going to a 'fancy' restaurant. Where else to be?
"Woah.."
Rainbow says as she closed the door. She had entered to be on top of a balcony, with two pairs of stairs on each side that reach the bottom gold floor. She stepped down the stairs until she got to the middle of the room. Dash looked around, only to stop.
Twilight was standing on the balcony, giggling.
"Twi?"
"Rainbow."
"When did you-?"
"When did I come? I came when I saw the door opened. I figured someone would be in here."
Rainbow smirked, "Lucky to find you. I've been waiting."
"Yes, I know. I noticed your attempts. I keep my promises."
"Heh. So...No more lessons?"
"No more."
"Good!"
"Want to dance?"
Rainbow heart missed a beat as a light blush came to her cheeks, 'Calm down, Dash, she is just going to teach you how to slow dance...no biggie. Act natural!'
"S-sure! Why not? I mean, heh, yeah..."
"You okay?"
Rainbow nodded. Twilight smiled, and made her way down the stairs.

"Just follow my hoofsteps. You'll be fine!"
"I-i can't! I keep stepping on your hooves!"
"Rainbow, look at me."
The pegasus looked up at her crush, looking into her sparkling purple eyes.
"You can do this, I believe in you.."
Rainbow hesitated. But she let it go and smiled, "Okay."
Twilight nodded with a smile, stood up, and stepped closer to the pegasus, signaling that the tenth take was about to happen. Rainbow did the same. The music started.
Both started moving slowly, while Rainbow looked down to see the movement on Twilight's hooves. Twilight took Rainbow by the waist, and spun slowly for the pegasus to catch up. Soon, Rainbow got the hang of taking slow steps, and slow spins, which Twilight now agreed to take to level two.
"Now, I am going to move a little faster, try to keep up, okay?"
"Okay."
Twilight started up the music again, and began moving a little faster. Rainbow chuckled a little as they spun around. Twilight giggled back.
'What is this feeling?...I feel so happy around Rainbow. Getting to dance with her? Made my Monday.'
The alicorn moved a little closer, making Rainbow look to the side to know how to move with looking. Rainbow held on to the alicorn's arms as they spun again.
"Thanks for the lessons, Twi, I really appreciate it."
"Just what...a friend would do."
"..."
"..."
"I can't wait for the event!"
"Me neither. Luna has had me practicing the speech until it was perfect! I can't wait to see everypony walk in through the big gold doors."
"Doesn't Celestia greet everypony at the grand hall?"
"She did, but this time we greet everypony as they go down the stairs."
"So all the princesses will greet them?"
"Mhm. Including me!"
"That's... Awesome."
The music ended, and both ponies stopped. They went back to all fours, and Twilight looked out the window.
"It's evening already?"
"Wow, time goes fast when we have a good time."
Twilight looked at Rainbow, whom was looking at the sunrise from the big windows revealing the outside. Twilight smiled.
"Yeah..."
Rainbow looks at the alicorn with a smile, "Meet me at dinner?"
Rainbow called from outside her crush's bedroom door. Waiting for a response, she scratches the floor a bit with her hoof. Then she hears a voice muttering words she can barely hear inside. Suddenly, the door opens and out comes Twilight dressed in a light yellow dress, smiling at the blushing made in front of her.
"Hey Twilight...Are you ready for dinner? Celestia and everypony else are waiting for you in the dining room."
"Oh, sorry for making you wait! Rarity gave me this dress and I almost came out without wearing it! So, I quickly changed into it."
"That's okay, and oh...you look-"
"Beautiful?"
Rainbow nodded with a smile. Twilight gave a hearty laugh as she began walking with Rainbow. Slowly making their way towards the roudy room, Twilight decided to give a bit of conversation.
"So...how have you been?"
"I've been good. H-how about you?"
"I've been great."
"Heh."
Silence came in between them, all that can be heard was the sound of their hooves hitting the floor. Twilight looked around trying to think of what else to say. Rainbow did the same, but decided to break off the silence once again.
"Is there a reason why Rarity gave you a dress?"
"Hm? Oh, she wanted everypony to wear something formal, she said something about meeting Spike."
"Oh, that's nice."
"Speaking of formal, where is your dress?"
"Uh, she never gave me one."
Twilight shook her head with a smirk, "Silly Rarity, I know she'll notice once we get there, as a matter of fact, we're here now!"
"What a coincidence, heh."
Twilight opened the door, gesturing the cyan mare to enter. Rainbow trotted in to receive a gasp from the one and only, Rarity.
"Excuse me for a moment, Fluttershy!"
"Oh no-"
Rarity made her way, quickly, to Dash and began dragging her out with a hoof. Twilight only chuckled as she let them pass on by and soon closing the door to join her other friends.

"Rainbow dear, why didn't you tell me about forgetting your dress?"
Rarity asked as she marked the last bit of make up on Rainbow's face. Dash groaned, she didn't like the idea of make up. She liked being free, wearing make up made her feel like she was trapped. But, she had no other choice but to deal with it. Especially with her crush around. She sighed.
"I forgot-"
"Sure you did, darling. And ta-da! Oh you look beautiful!"
Rainbow looked at her dress. It was a lighter shade of blue from her coat color. It was a bit too sparkly for her taste, but Rarity told her it suited her. Even a bow was added to her sides. How could this get any worse?
"Can you lend me a mirror? I want to see what you did with my hai-"
"Darling, sit still! I need this to be perfe-"
"Rarity! Are you even listening to me?"
"Oh, sorry, what were you saying before?"
Rarity let out a nervous chuckle as Rainbow just sighed and waved her hoof dismissively.
"Never mind, Rares. Continue with what you were doing."
"No! Not until you tell me what you were saying."
Rainbow groaned, "I just asked for a mirror."
"Oh! Well, I'll get you one until I'm done with your hair."
'Well didn't that answer my question.' Rainbow thought as she started getting flashes of pictures about Twilight in her dress. She blushed a bit as she stared into her dress.
"Yoohoo? Darling? Are you in space?"
"Huh?"
"Oh there you are. Now, you weren't listening to me!"
"Oh sorry, heh."
Rarity shook her head with a smile, "Anyway, here's your mirror."
"Thanks."
She looked into the mirror to see two braids on the side of her head as the rest of her hair was down. 'Girly.' She thought as she set down the mirror looking into Rarity's eyes. She was waiting for an answer.
"Oh. It's good, Rares."
"IT'S GOOD? JUST GOOD? Why not fantastic? Beautiful?"
Rainbow only chuckled as she stood up on all fours and started heading back towards the dining table, being followed by an anxious unicorn.

"Welcome back."
Luna said, taking a slice of cake from the center of the table with her magic. Rainbow and Rarity bowed down, then walking to sit down and join the feast. Rainbow walked towards Twilight. Huh, convenient, an empty seat. She looked to her right as she sat down to see Cadence give her a wink. Rainbow only smiled, turning her head to Twilight.
"Oh hi Rainbow...y-you look-"
"Beautiful?"
Twilight nodded, giggling, she gave Rainbow a light playful punch. Grabbing some food, she began chowing down. As she was about to drink from her glass cup, a piece of paper lands in front of her muzzle. Yellow magic? She looked up to see Celestia smiling down at her. Rainbow gave a smile back and grabbed the note.
'I heard you sing the other day. You have a nice singing voice, keep it up.'
Rainbow have a gasp as she looked back up, only to see Celestia giggling. 'What a sneaky queen.' Rainbow laughed.
"Princess Celestia! You have some mail."
Rainbow recognized that voice from anywhere. She looked to her right to see Derpy flying towards Celestia with a couple of letters.
"For you and um-"
Derpy looked back at the letters, dropping them accidentally in the process. Princess Celestia only giggled saying, It's okay, repeadetly as Derpy kept on apologizing.
"Okay! And for Princess Twilight, and Rainbow Dash!"
Celestia nodded, taking the letters from Derpy's hooves.
"Thank you, Derpy. Have a nice day! Or night accordingly."
"You too ma'am!"
With that she left thought the doors. The letters floated toward Twilight and Dash. She quickly grabs it to see who it's from. Firefly. Her mother. Rainbow quickly opens it up and grabs the piece of paper inside.
'Dear Dashie, Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it in time to enter with you. The train has issues right now, but luckily it'll be fixed as soon as possible. You may enter before me, okay? See you soon sweetie. Love you. From, Firefly.'
"Huh. I'm entering alone."
"Hm?," Twilight looks up from her letter as she finished reading it.
"Firefly isn't going to be able to enter with me in time. So, I'll be entering alone."
"Oh Celestia, what about your dress?"
"In another letter, she told me she'll mail it to me, just in case."
"Good planning."
"Yeah, what about you?"
"Oh, well, my mother is going to be able to come since she lives a bit nearby. So, I guess I'll be seeing you as you walk down the stairs."
"That's great, and yeah, same here."
Twilight smiles sweetly before Luna announces that they all go to bed. Rainbow smiles back at Twilight before getting up with her.
They each return to their own bedrooms as they fall into slumber.
