Stuttershy

Not everypony is perfect. Especially not Stuttershy. This pony is shy, a bit slow, and has a stutter.

During an event with some stallions, this poor pony meets Fluttershy. Maybe somepony who will accept him for who he is?

Stuttering Mouths

Fluttershy woke up, unfurling her wings and yawning quietly. She stretched out her limbs and folded them gently underneath her as she started to open up her cyan eyes.

Her eyelids slid up into her cranium and she smiled, looking around her bright room. The beautiful pictures of her friends were placed all around the room, and neatly stacked on top of a series of bookshelves. The pictures of her friends showed Fluttershy smiling next to Rarity and Rainbow Dash, and Angel Bunny right next to her.

Fluttershy couldn't help but grin widely, as she looked at these pictures. She hopped out of her bed and stretched her body further, ready to do her morning activities. The warm sun gleamed on her pale, yellow, torso and warmed her fur and skin within the bright light.

Angel Bunny opened the door and hopped in, staring up at Fluttershy.

"Oh, hello, sweetheart. Ready to help mommy with her morning chores?", Fluttershy smiled at Angel Bunny, who was grinning brightly.

Fluttershy's heart was warmly melting in her chest as she saw Angel grinning. Angel rarely grins like this. Maybe he was eager, or maybe he was just ready to eat. Either way, it doesn't matter.

Angel Bunny hopped onto Fluttershy's back, and gently patted his feet on her back, to make her move. Fluttershy moved forward, with a an-gleeful expression crossing her face. She knew today was going to be a good day, especially with Angel being like the way he is.

Fluttershy opened her bedroom door, and stepped down the mahogany steps, leading herself down to the living space, where all her animal friends plopped into the middle of the room, and sat on their rumps, waiting. Squirrels, Raccoons, Birds, Bunnies, et cetera.

The living space had one couch, and many bird cages lining the walls. Along with that, there was a few chimes and many little cages for bunnies to hop in and out of.

"Oh my, are you all so hungry this morning? I'm so, so, sorry for this. Momma must've slept in too late.", Fluttershy gave a bit of a frown, but the animals re-assured her with chirps of excitement.

"Oh? you're not mad at me? What's with the enthusiasm, then?", Fluttershy asked.

Angel Bunny hopped off her back, and gently hopped up a large, small-spiral, staircase and pointing to a calender. It was labelled 'May' and the date was the 13th.

"May thirteenth. What about it?", Fluttershy tilted her head, unsure what it meant.

Angel Bunny pointed the date again, and then at Fluttershy, and finally at the animal crowd. He was jumping up and down, with excitement and anger as he tried to play charades again, as he usually does.

"I don--.. Wait...", Fluttershy's eyes squinted at the date, and she looked around the room once again.

"Oh! It's mother's day!", Fluttershy smiled brightly, raising her hooves in excitement.

The animals all around her were squeaking and chirping in excitement, jumping around.

Angel Bunny smiled and bowed lightly, looking at her 'Momma' in the eyes.

"Does this mean I get to take the day off, or something? I mean... If that's... Okay with you.", Fluttershy squeaked softly, whispering warmly.

Angel Bunny nodded, as he pointed to the food bowls.

"Oh, of course I'll feed you guys, silly!", Fluttershy smiled and turned around, heading to the kitchen and pulling out a large bag of seeds, veggies and fruits for her little animals.

"This should be enough for all of you, all day. Now, please, share for Momma. That's all I expect from you guys and girls.", Fluttershy set the bag down slowly, and opened it up, as the animals lined up and single-filed themselves to take pieces of food one at a time.

Fluttershy smiled, as she walked to the front door, turning her head behind at the animals.

"Behave, please. Momma wants to come home to a nice house.", Fluttershy smiled, as the animals nodded.

She opened the door, gently closing it behind her. Fluttershy walked out of her house, and crossing the small bridge that was over top of a pond. The light shimmered upon the pond, and reflected outwards into a gentle array of lights, brightly flowing.

Fluttershy smiled as she took this in, and took a deep breath of air.

Today is going to be swell... Maybe I'll go visi--

Her thought was cut off by laughing. The laughter came from just down the road, from her house. She could see ponies pushing each other back and forth. The laughing didn't seem the very kindest, and Fluttershy knew when a pony was being kind, or not.

Fluttershy slowly approached the group, seeing them pushing somepony, who had the same pink mane as Fluttershy, and coat colour, and seemed to be drifting tears from his eyes.

"Stupid colt! That's all you are, a colt!", A large, grey-coat and yellow mane, stallion yelled.

"Yeah, you piece of junk!", Another stallion yelled, his coat brown, and his mane black.

"J-j-j-just l-l-le--... Leeeeave m-me aaaaahhhh-l-l-lone!", The small stallion cried, being kicked onto the ground.

The two laughed loudly, making large, goofy faces as they stared downwards at the pale stallion.

"Can't even speak right! Dear Celestia, this is too rich!", Both stallions laughed in unison.

"P-p-p-p--....", The pony struggled to speak, as he stood on his hooves.

"... P-p-p-p-p-pleeeee-aaase l-l-l-l-leave m-m-m-me aaaaahhh-lone!", The pony was crying, and backing away a bit, hitting a tree as he did so.

"Nah, we'll have a bit more fun with you... Hehehe...", The large stallions moved in closer, laughing lowly.

Fluttershy needed to intervene, now. She moved in closely and stood inbetween the three.

"Back off, now!", Fluttershy yelled, lowly.

"If... That's okay with you.", Fluttershy said softly.

The two stallions looked at each other and then laughed.

"What is this? Your sister?! GAHAHAHA!", They laughed louder.

Fluttershy's instincts took over, and she was furious at the two. How they were mistreating a pony because he was a bit different.

"How could you two be so insensitive towards a pony?! Are you seriously this low to insult and make somepony feel so different?!", Fluttershy was pushing herself closer to the stallions, giving her 'the stare' as her eyes widened, and made them walk backwards.

"Are you two going to be like this to everypony who is different?! You two should be ashamed of yourself for what you did! This is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life! Now, you apologize to him, right now!", Fluttershy yelled loudly, making the two shake on the spot.

"S-s-sorry, Stuttershy! We.. Uh.. Have to go!", The two ran away, like little fillies, in fear of Fluttershy.

Fluttershy softly sighed, and turned around, seeing the stallion dubbed 'Stuttershy' shaking softly, with tears streaming down his face.

"Are you okay.. Uhm.. W-what was your name?", Fluttershy asked softly, looking at him.

"S... Stu... Stummbbfff..", The stallion said softly, unable for Fluttershy to hear.

"What?... I .. I can't hear you... I'm sorry..", Fluttershy said.

"S-s-s-s... S-s... Stut-t-t-t-t-t... Stutter---... Stuttershy.", He spoke up, looking away from Fluttershy.

"Oh... I'm Fluttershy. I... I hope you're not too offended by those stallions. They were really rude, and shouldn't make fu--"

"J-j-j-just g-g-g-go away! Y-y-y-u--- you'll j-j-j-j-just m-mmmmm-make f-f-f-f-fun of mmmmmmm-me!", Stuttershy said, crying softly.

Fluttershy stepped back a bit, not believing what he was saying.

"I would never do such a thing! I promise you, Stuttershy.", Fluttershy said softly.

"How c-c-c-could I t-t-t-t-trust y-y-y-u-you?", Stuttershy asked.

"Because... I'm Fluttershy, one of the kindest ponies in Ponyville. I may not be like Applejack, but... You can trust me.", Fluttershy gave a small smile, tilting her head a little bit.

Stuttershy sniffed lightly, rubbing his tears out of his eyes. Fluttershy couldn't stand seeing a pony cry, and gently wiped up his tears with her hooves, and Stuttershy gasping a little at this.

Fluttershy only smiled at him, gently wiping it up and stopping him from crying. Stuttershy couldn't help but smile a little, and giggle softly. As he giggled, his cheeks blushed red and he placed his hooves over his head as the next thing popped out of his mouth:

"I... I-I-I l-l-like y-y-you.", Stuttershy was laying on the ground, shivering softly.

Fluttershy's eyes went wide at this. A pony she just met already likes her, and she barely knows him. All she knows is that he seems to have a bit of a speech impediment and that he's shy. Just like her...

Just like her...

Just like me..., Fluttershy smiled softly.

She gently removed his hooves from his head, revealing his bright, pink, mane and cyan eyes. He had a worried expression on his face as Fluttershy was smiling brightly.

"C'mon... Let me bring you to my place. Let's get you settled in.", Fluttershy smile went a bit bigger, as he stood up, and began following her.

A few minutes of walking back to her house, which wasn't far away from the 'scene of the crime', they opened to door to be greeted by a barrage of animals.

"Oh my... Hello!", Fluttershy said softly, to all her animals.

Stuttershy stared all around at the animals, smiling brightly.

"W-w-w-wwwww... Wow! T-t-this i-i-is amazing!", Stuttershy walked to one of the animals, a bird, and started to make a small chirping noise.

It chirped back and placed its wings around his mussel, as if to hug him.

"Wow, you speak to animals too?", Fluttershy smiled.

Stuttershy blushed softly, pulling away form the bird, and then nodded; looking away from Fluttershy. Fluttershy softly giggled and whispered to the bird that hugged his mussel before. The bird chirruped and flew onto Stuttershy's back, gently nuzzling the back of Stuttershy's mane, making light chirp noises.

"I-I-I-I...", Stuttershy softly spoke, as a grin grew on his face.

Fluttershy giggled, and smiled, gently walking over to the couch, sitting down just in front of it. All her animals gathered in a little group, making light squeaks, chirps, and howls to her. Stuttershy sat behind all the animals, looking at what she was doing.

"All right, Momma wants all of you to help me with something... My guest here needs a proper welcoming. Would you all mind helping me with a bit of a tune?", Fluttershy softly asked, giving a bright smiled to each of the animals.

Slowly, the birds started to whistle a bit of a harmonic E tone and C tones, allowing a flowing rhythm between each note. As a pause happened during each note, light squeaks and howls added for a base, creating a low A and an E flat. Slowly, Fluttershy started to hum, and then lead into song:

"Hush now, quiet now

It's time to lay your sleepy head

Hush now, quiet now

It's time to go to bed.

Drifting off to sleep

Exciting day behind you

Drifting off to sleep

Let the joy of dreamland find you

Hush now, quiet now

Lay your sleepy head

Hush now, quiet now

It's time to go to bed."

Stuttershy slowly drifted back and forth, his vision hazing slightly over his cyan eyes. He could see Fluttershy softly flutter over to her, and her bright smile looked him in the eyes.

"Are you sleepy, Stuttershy?", She smiles brightly, letting him speak softly.

"Y-... Y-y-y-y... Y-y-yes...", Stuttershy softly shakes his head up and down, rubbing his eyes.

Fluttershy quickly listens to what he just said, and realises that this isn't what she really intended, and just wanted to impress the stallion a little.

"Oh, uhm, I'm so, sorry! I-I didn't mean to make you sleepy!", Fluttershy gently shook Stuttershy back and forth, making him break his trance.

Stuttershy then shook his head, breaking the trance that Fluttershy dawned upon him, and making him look deep into the mare's cyan eyes.

"I-I-I... I-IIIII... Erg... I'mmmmm...", Stuttershy blushed softly, trying to spit out the words to this... 'Companion'.

"I... I'mmmm... Sssss... Ssssso--Sorry.", Stuttershy, after a second more of struggling to spit it out, said it, his cheeks flushed a bright red of embarrassment.

Fluttershy smiled at Stuttershy, and was about to speak, but was interrupted by Stuttershy:

"Fffff... Flut--.. Flutterrrrr... Fluttershy... D-doo... Y-y-y-yu--you c-c-c-consider mmmmmm-mee a fffffrrrrrr-iend?", Stuttershy asked, although not completely abrupt, it was a bit quickened this time.

"Of course I do. I know I just met you, Stuttershy, but, I believe you're a friend.", Fluttershy smiled, looking at Stuttershy.

"Thhhhh... That's... Annnnnnn.... Another...", Stuttershy sighed, looking down at the ground.

Fluttershy noticed that tears were welling up in his eyes, making her a bit concerned.

"Is something wrong, Stuttershy?", Fluttershy asked, looking down at him with inquisitiveness.

"I-I-IIIII... D-d-don't llllll-... Like being c-c-c-called Sssss--... S-Stuttershy...", Stuttershy sighed softly.

"Oh, I'm sorry... I mean, I didn't mean to call you it this entire time.. I just didn't know... I hope you're no--"

"IIIIII'Mmmmmmm... N-n-n-not mmmmmm-mad at y-y-y... Y-y-you. I j-j-just wish you c-c-call me L-L-L--....", He stuttered again, trying to speak his real name.

"'L---'?", Fluttershy sounded out for him.

"L---Livid... Livid D-d-... Dream.", Stuttershy, or now known as Livid Dream, spoke softly and stuttering continuously.

"IIIIII... I know it... It ssssssss-sounds sssssss-stu--... Stupid...", Stuttershy sighed, sitting on his rump, now.

"It's not stupid, Stut--... I mean Livid. It's a good name for you. It's better than being teased... Back in Cloudsdale, they use to call me Clutzershy",

Livid said nothing, and only blushed at this.

"It's really nothing. I find it funny, now, since one of my good friends defended me from those bullies. Kind of like how I helped you.", Fluttershy smiled gently.

Livid couldn't help but let out a gentle smile, looking around the room.

"D-d-do... Do you th-th--.. Thiiiii-iink I c-c-could ... Hhhhhave ssssssome time wi-wi-with you llllllater?", Livid asked, blushing furiously. His cyan eyes darted around Fluttershy, embarrassed completely from it.

"You mean like... A play-date with animals?", Fluttershy tilted her head, trying to guess what he meant.

"Ssssss... Ssssort of... J-j-j-just ... Wwwww-with us innnnnn-sssstead.", Livid explained, plainly.

Fluttershy still seemed like she wasn't guessing right, and tried again.

"You mean... Like... A 'date'... Like... Date, date?", Fluttershy asked, to clarify.

Livid Dream nodded softly, looking away for a second, his cheeks blushing again.

"I think I could do that...", Fluttershy smiled brightly.

Livid Dream jumped with excitement, hugging her tightly and Fluttershy could feel his heartbeat against her chest. As her head was a bit over his shoulder, she could see that his flank was blank.

"Why is your ... Why don't you have a cutie mark?", Fluttershy asked, pushing him away gently.

"IIIII.... C-c-c-can... T-t-t-tell you llllllater.", Livid smiled softly, to re-assure this statement.

Fluttershy only nodded, making a bright smile in return.

Maybe that later won't be so soon, but, it will happen. In time.

Like... A date, date?

Like... A date, date?

Fluttershy was getting ready for tonight. It was still the thirteenth of May, and her little animal friends were helping her. She had a large, red, rose put into her mane, just next to her left ear. She didn't decide to preen up more than that, though. It was only a little date with a new pony. Someone she barely knows, but... She was a bit eager to get out of the house.

"Thank you so much, all of you. Momma's very proud.", Fluttershy gently turned around, her bright, cyan, eyes stared at the large group of small animals.

Many squeaks and howls went to her, in applause, and she settled them down, with a light hum.

"Now, I want all of you to go to sleep, soon. It's bedtime in about an hour. Keep the place tidy, and clean. Wish me luck...", Fluttershy took a deep breath, heading to the door, opening it up, and looking back. Angel Bunny, and the rest of the animals, were waving to her, happily. Seeing their 'mom' go off on a date, after many years of shyness, was melting their hearts.

About ten minutes away, Livid Dream was sitting on a bridge, looking up at the bright moonlight. He was staring at the many stars that shot across the beautiful, serene, night sky. The blue night was glistening with the starlight and grazing lightly in the misty star-shower.

Livid sighed, as the stars shot further across the elongated night sky, and it made Livid's heart melt. The feeling of not being able to have his cutie mark, like so many other ponies did. He always loved the stars, and had a talent for astronomy. But, he wasn't able to find his true cutie mark. Maybe it was due to his inability to show off his talents, or maybe because many frowned upon his disability, and didn't try to get to know the poor stallion.

Livid looked around, awaiting his new 'friend' and 'date'. He sighed. Maybe she wasn't going to show up, or even try. It was too quick. Too soon. How could he be so stupid? So fast, and eager? He probably scared the poor mare off!

Livid smacked his hooves on his forehead, stuttering to himself.

"S-s-stupid mmme!", He hiccuped to himself.

He sighed once again, looking around at the, yellow, cobblestone bridge. It gleamed softly in the moonlight, beaming a bit of a reflection of his pale, yellow, face plus his pink mane.

He coughed lightly, seeing his tears drip down onto the cobblestone. He could see that his eyes were going red, and that he was forcing these tears out. He felt that the only way for himself to be happy, was to cry. Forcibly, or by accident. It just made Livid happy. It's odd, but, that's all he could do now. No friends, or family, was around for him. At le--

"Oh, hey, you're here. I wasn't sure where to go, so... Uhm... I'm here.", a soft voice from a mare came from behind Livid.

He slowly turned and tried to hide his tears. He didn't think she would even show up! This was a bit of good news, but, what if it was a joke to her? Maybe she wanted to ridicule him? It's only a matter of time...

"W-w-wow... I-... I never knew y-y-you would sssss-show up.", Livid chirruped out of his mouth, trying to sound as smooth as he could.

"I would never do such a thing! I wouldn't want you to be upset, would I?", Fluttershy glanced at him, softly smiling to re-assure the statement.

"I-I... I-I'm ssss-ssorry...", Livid manages to spew out, looking at the ground, blushing softly.

Fluttershy walked up to him, ready to raise his head so she could try and make him smile, but felt something wet underneath her hooves. She looked up at the sky, unsure if it rained or not on her way here. Why she wouldn't notice it is beyond her.

"Why is it wet here? Did you spill something?", Fluttershy looked around at Livid, trying to see if he had some water or something with him. Instead, she looked at his eyes, seeing they were brimming red.

Fluttershy immediately knew he was crying, and started to worry. Did she do something wrong earlier? Did she make him feel uncomfortable?

"H-have you been crying?", Fluttershy squeaked, looking at him inquisitively.

Livid looked away, trying not to answer, worried it might make him look bad in front of her. Making Livid look like a horrible stallion. A stallion is suppose to be strong, not weak! They're suppose to be carefree and adventurous!...

Oh... Who was he kidding?

"Y-y-yes...", He hiccuped out of his mouth, shivering lightly.

Fluttershy gave a small frown, and moved closer to him. Livid could feel the her sweet breath against him as her cyan eyes met his. His forehead started to sweat lightly, and his cheeks flushed another furious red.

"Why were you crying, Livid? What's wrong?", Fluttershy frowned a bit deeper, her eyes glinting brightly in the serene moonlight.

Livid couldn't help but contently stare at Fluttershy's gleaming eyes. He could see himself within the pupils of her eyes, and that his pink mane was brushing back and forth in a light breeze that swiped through the air, now.

"I-I... W-well...", Livid tried to speak, but it became inaudible as her gaze seemed to hypnotize him.

He tried to spit out more words, but, his mouth just turned into a big 'O', and then he couldn't help himself. Her gaze seemed to make his eyes spin, and his heart raced within his chest.

This is what he was waiting for. A time to surge and allow himself to push into the life of another pony. It made him want to bond, connect, and perhaps intertwine with somepony else. He couldn't help it. He had too... But, maybe it was a bit too early...?

Livid pushed himself forward and kissed Fluttershy on the lips, holding it in place for a solid three or four seconds. He pulled away and took a deep breath, only to feel the wind rush out of him at the smack of a hoof.

Livid's eyes started spinning, and he could feel the sudden headache come on from the pressure of the hoof that just hit him. Was it worth it? Was it really worth kissing this mare and giving up a partial friendship?

"Why did you do that...?", Fluttershy said, in a bit of an agitated tone.

Livid shook his head, regaining his focus, staring at Fluttershy.

"I-I-I...", He only shrugged, and placed his hooves on his temples as he lowered to the ground.

Fluttershy started to feel bad for hitting the poor stallion, and gently started to brush her hoof through his pink mane.

"I'm sorry for hitting you... I'm uhm... It's just... It was too sudden... I'm... If... That's okay with you...", Fluttershy squeaked, blushing, even if Livid was too busy trying to correct the pain in his head.

Livid shook his head back and forth, after a minute or two, and got up.

"I-I'm ssss-sorry. I-I-I wwww-was t-t-too q-q-quick...", Livid slurred out of his mouth, trying to apologize.

Fluttershy sighed, and just stared at the stallion for a couple moments. Fluttershy thought of the different situations she could be in where this stallion would try to peck her on the lips again, and again. It was a slight horror, but an odd pleasure, at the same time. She only shook her head, to regain her focus.

"Why were you crying?", Fluttershy asked, abruptly breaking the silence.

Livid stared at her for a couple seconds, regaining his focus as well.

"I... I-I www-was c-crying be-because...", Livid looked around for a moment, afraid to let out his emotions.

"Bec-cause I was w-worried that y-you'd h-hate m-m-me...", Livid sighed and sat on his rump, looking at the ground to see the moonlight beaming onto his hooves.

Fluttershy was taken aback at this. Why would he assume such a thing? Fluttershy is the nicest pony in all of Equestria, and he assumes she'd hate him?

"I would never hate you. I have no reason to hate you.", Fluttershy said, with stern in her voice.

"B-b-but you have n-n-no reason to l-l-like m-me either...", Livid hiccuped out of himself, giving a very strong point in this 'argument' now.

Fluttershy tried to think of something to cool the situation. She preened herself for this stallion and now he assumes she'd hate him? Maybe she should just leave, and let him continue think--... No! Twilight would never approve of that. That's the worst thing she could do, at this point.

"I have plenty of reason to like you. You're very sweet, and you're quiet... And you're like me...", Fluttershy blushed softly, looking away for a moment.

Livid looked up, and tilted his head.

"R-r-really?", Livid slurred out of his mouth.

Fluttershy looked back at him, and nodded, her cheeks flushing to a bit of a pink.

"I-I mean I just met you... And... I don't want things rushed... But... I mean... If... That's okay with you...", Fluttershy taps her hoof on the ground, lightly swaying back and forth to show she was nervous.

"I-I-I wouldn't llll-like anything b-better...", Livid said, showing a smile...

A smile.

After a couple minutes of gathering their thoughts, the two were walking in the dim moonlight of the outskirts of Ponyville. They've been walking for a good twenty minutes, and found themselves just in the Ponyville park. The park was nice and pruned of sticks from their trees, the large fountain was gushing out an array of water, that reflected the wonderous moonlight and benches scattered around everywhere, neatly aligned.

Fluttershy and Livid sat down on one of the benches, to take a break from their 'walking overture'. Fluttershy started to speak, after a minute or two of silence.

"So... About your cutie mark.", Fluttershy asked.

Livid looked at her, and felt no reason to keep it away any longer. He did say he'd tell her about it.

"W-well... I-I've always had-d a t-talent f-for ...", He struggled with the next word for a minute, and then continued.

"A-astronomy. B-but, ... I was n-never a-able t-t-to show it off... I-I was t-too sssss-scared...", Livid sighed softly.

"You were too shy?", Fluttershy asked, with a light blush of her cheeks.

Livid only nodded, kind of regretting the talk of this subject now.

Fluttershy could sense the urgency in him that made this conversation a bit too awkward.

"Well, uhm, maybe you can tell me a bit about your uhm... Yourself? If... That's okay...", Livid looked at Fluttershy and he nodded lightly.

"I-I'm f-from C-Canterlot... B-but I-I'm not a ...", Livid slurred again on the next word, and then continued.

"F-fashionable pony... I j-just worked for C-Celestia and th-then came here...", Livid gently sighed, but continued.

"I g-guess to t-talk about m-m-myself: I-I'm s-shy... Quiet... And...", Livid looked at Fluttershy's cyan eyes. He didn't want to tell her the small piece of info that might make things odd between them... Or maybe it'll help him?

"D-depressed...", Livid sighed, his ear folded to the side of his mane.

"Depressed?... Why are y--", Fluttershy stopped and remember what those bullies did earlier.

Maybe it was more then bullying? She had to press it further, to find out.

"Uhm... If it's okay to ask... Does your... Stutter ... Hinder you from doing things?", Fluttershy asked nervously.

Livid nodded, and sighed, not saying a word.

"S-so... You can't get certain jobs...?", Livid nodded again, to this question, and Fluttershy seemed a bit worried.

"So... Uhm... Y-you're... Homeless...?", Fluttershy was worried for the answer. She didn't want someone she just met in her house, but, then again, what harm could he do?

Livid nodded, and cringed his eyes, as if he was ready to cry. Fluttershy took immediate notice and placed a hoof on his shoulder-blade, softly humming to him.

"Hush now, quiet now, it's time to lay your sleepy head...", Fluttershy started to sing warmly, and then saw Livid's lips part and speak.

"Hush now, quiet now, it's time to go to bed...", His singing voice was deep, and wonderous. It held onto every note in that sentence like Fluttershy did, but with an added bass to it. It made Fluttershy's heart melt with joy when she heard it.

"Drifting off to sleep, exciting day behind you...", Livid continued to sing. Fluttershy stayed quiet, wanting to hear more.

"Drifting off to sleep, let the joy of dreamland find you...", Fluttershy started to join in, creating a duet now.

"Hush now, quiet now, it's time to lay you sleepy head! Hush now, quiet now, it's time to go to bed...", After they finished, humming lightly, Livid looked at Fluttershy, smiling lightly.

"Th-thank you...", He said, softly, blushing.

Fluttershy smiled brightly, glad to see that he was smiling once again.

If You Can Sing...

If You Can Sing...

"If you can sing without a stutter... Than why can't you speak without one?", Fluttershy asked, nervously staring into Livid's eyes.

"Well.. I-I.. Uhm..", Livid hindered a little, and then tried speaking once more, his face flushing red.

"I-I... Well, c-can't seem to figure th.. That one out.", He jabbed out of his mouth, kicking a hoof off the bright, pink, carpet.

Fluttershy stared at him, seeing that he was a little nervous than usual. Maybe her question pushed it a bit far. Instead, she fumbled around to change the subject.

"Well maybe we ca-", They both spoke at the same time, staring at each other for a moment.

"I'm sorry yo--", They did it again. A moments silence emerged between the two pegasi.

They then laughed, quietly, looking at each other. Fluttershy was glad that the nervous feel in the air was gone, and Livid was a bit more excited, at the moment.

"M-maybe we can g-go stare at the s-stars?", Livid asked, giving a small smile.

Fluttershy smiled, brightly, staring at Livid. It seems so rushed, what was happening with him and her. She never felt this emotion in her heart before, and never felt this close to anypony, other than her friends. Well, maybe it was just a little nudge, or feeling. She'll have to find out, later.

"I'd love to.", Fluttershy said, as she gave another smile.

Fluttershy then turned around, walking forward to a large window that sat just to the right of the couch, laid out in the living room. Livid couldn't help but stare at Fluttershy's flank for a second, and then looked away, blushing, as he started forward.

He stood, next to her, as Fluttershy opened the window. The night's clouds were gone from a recent pegasi team cleaning them up, and it was perfect. The stars laid out in wonderous patterns in the sky, and they twinkled gently every now and then. Whether it be cosmic magic, or just the natural reactions of space. Nopony would ever know.

"Do you know any of the star names, Livid?", Fluttershy asked, looking over at him.

Livid thought a moment. He knew a bit about astronomy, and always loved the stars, as his mind boggled information about them. Maybe he could name off a couple constellations for her, to impress her.

"W-well...", He started, looking up at the sky for a moment.

"T-that one is... The B-Big Dipper.", He pointed to a set of stars, that shaped into a large, cup-like spoon.

"Over there is... The Northern S-star", He spurred out of his mouth, for a moment, and then pointed at a brilliant, bright light.

"Th--"

"Sorry to uhm.. Interrupt, but... May I tell you something about the Northern Star?", Fluttershy blushed lightly, looking into Stuttershy's Eyes.

"Oh.. Uhm.. Y-y-yeah.", He answered, lowering his hoof to the window sill.

"Well, My Mommy always told me something about it. Every night, she'd point to it, out the window of our house, and say: 'The Northern Star is the most brilliant star. It leads all ponies North, for where they need to be the most.'", Fluttershy stopped, to make sure Livid was listening.

He was, in fact. Livid was glaring at her, intently, and his ears perked up like a tree. This made Fluttershy smiled, and she continued.

"'The Northern Star would point you to your desires, and to the things that make you happy. Never let anypony tell you you can never achieve your dreams, as this star will lead you to them'.", Fluttershy smiled, and Livid gave a blushing smile.

"My... Mum said the same thing...", He didn't stutter, amazingly. He said it perfectly, and quietly.

"R-Really?", Fluttershy asked, a bit stunned.

"Y-Yeah... S-she always told me to n-never let my s-stutter get the best... Of me.", He slurred his words, shying up a bit.

His body clenched in a bit of a nervous ache, and it made him want to just run away from Fluttershy. He resisted the urge to leave, and decided to stay put, looking up at her the best he could.

Fluttershy placed a gently hoof on the side of his face, lifting it up slighlty. The starlight beamed upon him, and it made a wonderful glare. Half of Livid's face was lit up by a bright-white star light, with a light blue hue to it. His irises glinted a reflected of the stars in the extravagant sky and Fluttershy could see herself within them.

Her heart started to race, as she stared into them, and felt an odd feeling pushing her closer to Livid. Livid was being pulled closer to Fluttershy, and felt the sweet scent of vanilla and lavender, as the Fluttershy's breathing expelled onto him.

Their muzzles were almost touching, now, as they got closer and closer. Sweat started to beat from Livid's forehead, as he got nervous for what was about to happen. Was this a dream? Could it be real? Is it al--

His thoughts were interrupted as he felt the sweet, honey-tasting, lips of the faded yellow and pink mare touch his. They locked, as Livid pushed closer, and felt the beauty of it. Their lips twisted and pulled as they continued to kiss, pinning each other back and forth. Eventually, Fluttershy was on the floor, as Livid was on top of her, in a bit of a more dominate stance.

This was fine with Fluttershy. Her heart was racing and pumping new energy in her, the energy she's never felt before. The same could be said for Livid, as he felt adrenaline pump to his muscles and his heart was racing at a new beat. Something he never felt before was rushed to his brain. It colour coated it like paint on a smooth surface.

He pulled away from the kiss, and looked into Fluttershy's eyes. He felt a new emotion, as well as she did. The emotion made him feel like he could accomplish anything, at this moment. He could only say one thing, though. One. Little. Thing.

"I... I love you...", He said, softly.

He felt like gouging out his eyes now. How could he say that to a mare he only knew for about half a day? What was he thinking?!

"... I love you too...", Fluttershy said, squeaking quietly.

Livid looked downward at her, almost stunned. His heart raced thoroughly through his chest, and made him giddy with joy, but also, confused. He wanted to ask why, but was only met with another kiss, and a turn-over onto his back. After a minute of 'smooching', Fluttershy pulled off of him with a gasp, and glared at him, grinning.

"Do... You really love me...?", Livid asked.

"Y-yeah... I've... Never felt this way about anypony before... I... I just...", Right then, and there, a bright glow emitted from Livid's flank. Fluttershy glared down at the flank of the pegasus beneath her, to see a large heart, with a star, beaming upon it. It was truly something she's never seen before.

"Y-... You have your cutie mark...", Fluttershy said, smiling.

"Yeah... I do, don't I?", Livid spoke. This time, no stutter emerged.

Fluttershy was taken aback, and looked down at him, eyes wide open. Did he just speak without a stutter?

"Did yo--"

"Yeah... I .. I did. I'm speaking without a stutter... I...", He looked up at Fluttershy, and only smiled.

His heart was slowing to a normal rythme. Everything was slowing for him, as he glared at the pegasus, intent on loving her fully. He found his purpose in life, now. It may have taken him a while to do so, and it may be another lifetime to figure out how he would spread it to other ponies, but... His life purpose was here.

"I guess... You're my special talent, Fluttershy.", Livid smiled, looking up at her, as the mare blushed and laid down, on top of him, resting her head on his chest.

My special talent...
