A foal, Darklight Magic, is taken from her home and raised to be an evil pony overlord. Darklight ends up causing plenty of disasters...like the creation of discord, Nightmare Moon, etc...
It was a clear, starry night in Equestria 4002 years before Princess Luna and Princess Celestia came to power. ~
A young foal was born. She was a young Pegasus with a bright pink coat, mane, and tail. The unnamed foal had sky blue eyes that sparkled in the moon light and yet, she was staring into her mother’s eyes like it was the last time she would see her mother.
The night would have been perfect for the foal’s mother, but out of nowhere, a massive shadow broke through the window. Glass shattered and flew towards the two ponies as if the glass itself was trying to annihilate them. The glass, seemingly possessed, flew at the foal’s mother at hyper-sonic speeds slicing her in half, instantly spilling her blood and organs. The mare didn’t even get a chance to react, let alone make a sound. Then the glass turned to the new born foal ready to pierce her body without a second thought, but as it was about to end the foals life, the shards of glass fell to the ground as though they lost all form of life.
As the Shadowy figure advanced on the foal and looked down at her as it released the magic that sent the glass at the foal’s mother. Time ticked by and nothing happened. The foal was staring at the shadow, as if to say “Who are you?” and “Will you be my friend?” The Shadow simply stood floated there. The shadow wanted to kill the foal but it drifted there staring at her. How much time passed by, seconds… minutes… hours. The shadow didn’t know but as it heard somepony rushing up the stairs, it grabbed the foal and left the house in an explosion of deep dark smoke that seemed to be made up of the pain and misery of others. As the shadow looked back, it saw the blood of the ponies. If shadows had faces, its face would have exploded with glee.
As the Shadowy figure returned to base, it dropped the foal right in front of the door and phased right though it. A few minutes later, the door evaporated in to thin air and the shadow stepped out of the base in his own body. He had a black coat, a messy mane and tail, the colours of blood and dried blood. He had wings that were VERY poorly kept, and the feathers were as sharp as swords. His eyes where crimson red with a small slit for his pupils, he had fangs as sharp as the sun is hot, a small curved unicorn horn and two sets of twisted, spiraling horns on the top of his head. *The Shadow*
The "Shadow's" body matched that of a stallion sketched onto posters scattered all across the land. The faded yellow pieces of blood stained paper read:

After taking the Foal in, Demonic Death named the foal Darklight Magic. Demonic Death then proceeded to, through the use of dark magic, make Darklight an Alicorn. She Instantly sprouted a beautifully mesmerizing pink horn on her forehead that had a flowing blue spiral of magic energy climbing up it. Her main and tail both got magically infused,giving them the flowing effect that is seen in Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. The Magic also caused her legs gained an extra inch, as well as give her derpy eyes, a sign that she will soon develop insanity.
After Demonic Death created the Alicorn, he summoned 15 of his slaves and 20 slave drivers and ordered a comfortable and "relaxing" room be made for Darklight, along with a training ground and an underground arena. Death then ordered a magic restoring drink, made from fresh ponies, though only 40 or 50 (thousand) screams could be heard, it still relaxed Death tremendously. 91 minuets and 2.6 seconds later, Death's slaves, accompanied by their slave drivers, reported that everything was done. Death nodded to show that he heard and dismissed with promises to leave the 15 slaves out of the "roasting over an open volcano" lottery.
Death had one of his servants take Darklight to her room on the 331 floor of the castle. Her door was 3 times the height of the average alicorn. The door was painted using blood for the background. On top of that was a picture of Darklight as an adult. She was killing hundreds of ponies, sending blood flying every where, decapitated heads at her hooves, and a city set on fire behind her. Inside the room was even more relaxing. It looked like the room used to be a torture chamber. In the corner of the room was a rack made from wooden planks, with straps and braces to hold ponies to it, while restricting the movement of all ponies except for the wings of pagasi. The floor was a massive tank that went down to the bottom floor, filled to the brim with blood and the corpses of the ponies who disappointed Demonic Death. The walls where glass and behind them were water falls that went into the floor tank. The bed that was made for Darklight was made up of the skeletons that matched the empty corpses in the tank, while her sheets where made of cut up pony flesh and air dried organs.
Due to the insanity that Darklight got, her first reaction was to kill her escort and strap is lifeless body to the torture rack in the corner of her room. As she did this, blood spilled out of him, permanently staining her coat in places. Once he was tied down, she decapitated him with one quick swipe of her hoof and regrew his head, and repeated the process, several hundred times, letting the heads pile up beside her. After she got board she blew him up splattering blood allover the room,even though no-one could tell with the design of the room. Darklight then proceeded to remove the skulls of her victim an decorate her room with them.
A few minutes later, Demonic Death appeared and made her age 2 years, while erasing all of her memories-minus seeing her home blown up- as a side effect. He seamed pleased at what Darklight was able to accomplish, especially since she was just born that day. Now that Death had some time on his hands hooves, and Darklight was a bit older, he could finally teach her how to control her magic and, most importantly speak, though to his surprise, Darklight, for some reason was already capable, of speech.
"Ow... that hurts" complained Darklight rubbing her head with her hoof. Death didn't care about her pain, he was just happy he didn't have to wast time teaching a pony to talk. Darklight didn't have any memories so when Death said that he was going to teach her to use magic she didn't object, she saw it as a way to get her memories "back" and all she new was she was going to annihilate anypony that got in her way!
The next day Darklight started her training. She had to fly though circular blades hanging from the ceiling moving at hypersonic speeds while covered in white living flames with the intent to melt her into ashes. Demonic Death gave Darklight quick instructions on how to become flame resistant up to 469 to the power of 789 billion times the temperature of the sun. The spell was designed to last for 24 hours... or until she takes any form of damage, physical, mental, it don't mater. When Darklight took off she flew up to the level of the rings and shot though them, barley making it past the blades and fire, getting faster and faster as she did it. What Darklight wasn't expecting was for the fire on the last ring to leap at her and turn into a dragon-phoenix hybrid. The hybrid leapt at Darklight and deactivated her flame shield. Furious, Darklight charged at the hybrid with the intent of causing an impact so large it would blow up the entire planet. Unfortunately for Darklight, the hybrid was made up of pure fire. Darklight flew right through the hybrid. Darklight's reflexes where top notch and because of it she was able to aquire part of it's D.N.A. and add it to hers, saving her from being burnt beyond a crisp, and absorbing the draconic Phoenix into her. After the first trial was finished, Darklight Magic went to complete the next section of her training.
The next part of her training was to sprint across 3000 miles of gasoline with a flamethrower contently aimed at her back hooves. The first 1500 miles was easy for Darklight Magic. The problem was that after that, flames started bursting directly up, straight out of the ground with the force of 3.1415926535898... volcanos each, erupting at 15 second intervals each 2 millimeters in front of her, the first few of them burnt a few of her hairs off of her mane. Within the last 6 mi. the flames became more unpredictable, using different timing, relative locations, angles and force. This caused Darklight to have her entire left side burnt to a crisp as she crossed the finished line.
Demonic Death was disappointed at the fact the Darklight was defeated in the second round of training. As he walked up to her to execute the "failure", Darklight cast a spell that blew a hole in the floor. Darklight took all the destroyed molecules and reformed them to fix her entire body perfectly. This was surprising to Demonic Death, and it scared him into thinking that she could be a threat to his reign of terror. The fear was new to him and it scared him even more making him want to decimate Darklight. However, before he could do anything, Darklight lunged at him stabbing two inches above his heart. She then cut out a perfect circle around his heart, took it out and shoved it down his throat leaving him to die. Her extreme actions earned Darklight her cutie mark. Darklight's cutie mark represented her extreme cruelty. The cutie mark was a knife covered in blood with a severed head at the end of it.
Darklight, furious at her trainer's betrayal, burnt away all the flesh with a spell that would make his spirit scream in pain. She took his skeleton, enchanted it to reflect all Magic attacks. Her intent was to use the skeleton as body armor in combat. After suiting up and swallowing Demonic Death's eyes, Darklight summoned all 42.34 duodecillion and slaughtered them all with one swift swing of her horn. Darklight proceeded to add the bones to her armor to block out the holes. For step two, she took the souls of her victims and used them to re-enforce her armor. Darklight, as she left the home she hardly knew, ignited the fire within her burning the planet to a crisp. With no where to go and nothing to do, Darklight chose a direction and flew of.
A few years later Darklight found a new land in which to reside, the land of Equestria. Darklight shot across the sky in what many on lookers would see as good luck. One such filly wished for a less boring more eventful life. The filly was about to learn a valuable lesson about being careful what you wish for. Her parents however, saw Darklight, who looked like a meteor, heading for their house and panicked. As Darklight crashed and obliterated the house, she turned to the family. The parents were shaking uncontrollably, teeth chattering. Their eyes shrank to nearly sub-atomic levels. While the parents panicked, the filly kept trying to get past and be friends with Darklight. Darklight Magic was disappointed with the adult ponies. She saw fear as a sign of weakness. The filly however made Darklight laugh.
"Funny how two weak ponies could raise such a potentially strong one." This comment confused the foals parents just long enough for the foal to sneak past her parents. But Darklight wasted no further time. "Darklight Magic" she introduced herself extending a hoof to shake. Afraid to get on her bad side, The ponies introduced themselves as Spring Majesty (the mother) and Petal Magic (the father). The foal, suddenly in Darklight's face, introduced herself as Serenity Candy. Spring Majesty's cutie mark was a simple flower growing next to a lake. Petal Magic's was a wand with a leaf growing from the edge, while Serenity Candy was still trying to find hers.
"What did you mean?" asked Spring Majesty timidly while staring at the ground with not much more then a whisper to be heard. "When you said we were weak?"
"Ya," spoke Petal Magic with a bit of anger surfacing. "that wasn't polite of you" planting his hooves, while Serenity Candy walked to the edge of the crater, seeing that nopony was talking to her.
"Well" started Darklight. "My planet was at a constant state of war where every pony is drafted a soon as they could walk," lied Darklight. "And we were generally taught the fear is a sign of weakness and that ♪if you're strong you'll survive and you'll keep your dream alive♪". As Darklight finished explaining she turned her attention to the broken house and activated her magic. The house seemingly rebuilt itself as Darklight apologized for destroying it. As Darklight finished, Serenity Candy bounded back to the group.
"Mom, Dad," she called gleefully. "Can Darklight live with us, she probably doesn't have anywhere to stay or any bits?"
'This might be easier than I thought' concluded Darklight. Though she kept that thought to herself so as not to worry Spring Majesty or Petal Magic. The two adults thought on this for a moment and then decided to allow it, seeing as Darklight has been nothing but kind and respectful once they got to (somewhat) know each other. Thought Darklight's new "friends" didn't know that they were just being manipulated. As Darklight was led inside, she started plotting on how she'd take over the land she now called home.
Darklight Magic spent the next few days learning how life worked in the new land. She learned about the three tribes of ponies: the earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns. Darklight was confused that she had been accepted into the family after learning about the distrust and hatred between the three tribes, and yet the family of unicorns that had taken Darklight in where nothing but kind and they cared about her wellbeing. Afraid of what would happen to not just Darklight but the rest of the village if they found out that an alicorn was taking residence in the village, Spring Majesty and Petal Magic told Darklight that she should probably stay inside. Though the unicorns where just looking out for Darklight, she saw it as them trying to control her. Darklight tried to hide her disappointment, but very audible clopping could be heard as Darklight stomped away. Darklight went to her room on the mane floor and created a trap door underneath her bed. She spent the next three hours locked in her room carving out a secret room underneath the house she was now bound to. Darklight took the room and made it resemble the room in which she was given before she blew up her planet.
Darklight's focus however, was interrupted when Serenity Candy bounded up to Darklight's room. When Serenity Candy saw the room that Darklight had made, she was struck with paralysis. Unable to move, unable to speak, eyes as small as atoms, Serenity Candy was dragged into the room with out struggle. All Serenity Candy could do was move her eyes. Somehow the first thing she noticed wasn't the blood stained walls, the torture rack, or even the bed of bones. What she noticed first was the shadow that seemed to cover Darklight.
Soon Darklight's body was nothing but a corps, with a shadow above it. Shadow-light started to rise into the air the way smoke does. Without warning Darklight's shadow dive bombed Serenity Candy with a blazing trail of blue flame cooking the air around her. When Shadow-light came into contact with the young filly however, the flames stopped. Serenity's body was fine, the shadow form of Darklight was gone. Confused, the little unicorn blinked. Soon she started crying. Darklight was was the one pony Serenity felt really understood her. The only pony to understand what is was like to be forbidden from leaving the house. And now she was gone. Serenity felt truly alone.
As serenity Candy laid on the floor of the room hidden from the rest of the world she could read words she previously thought where just symbols and pictures.* Serenity Candy, hoping for clues of Darklight's location read the words out loud.
"Through day and night,
Joy and fright,
You are mine,
Your freedom I shall decline,
Your wish for death,
Will be your last free breath."
As Serenity Candy finished reading the words, they, along with her eyes, glowed red with bright pink flashes, that matched the colour of Darklight's coat, blocking out all vision. Serenity Candy's eyes burned, her muscles loosing all feeling. A dark, mysterious laughter filled her ears. She tried to locate the source of the laughter but soon found that it was coming from within her head. Serenity probably would have been freaked out, but her fear was maxed out, and she was loosing consciousness.
Serenity Candy woke up with her eyes almost completely clear and her sense of feeling suppressed, but there. She wanted to get up let her parents know what happened but her body wouldn't respond. 'RISE' boomed Darklight's voice in Serenity's head. Suddenly, Serenity felt her body spring into a standing position. Darklight showed Serenity who was in control by forcing her to sprint into walls, cast harming spells on to herself...and calling her parents to the secret room, and to there demise.
As Darklight Magic invaded the mind of Serenity Candy, time slowed for her. She floated around what seemed to be an endless void of thoughts and memories. Darklight felt a sentient barrier trying to silence Darklight. Serenity's barrier was strong enough to match the power of an enraged, soulless and merciless Alicorn during a magic surge. Darklight, as powerful as she was at that moment, had two drawbacks. Darklight's possession spell used up most of her magical energy and she was rapidly exhausting herself of her remaining magic. Serenity's barrier was powered by her willpower. As an added handicap, the barrier was slightly cracking, unlocking memories for - and distracting - Darklight Magic.
Darklight found herself back in her body. However, she wasn't in her room and every thing was hazy. She tried to look around, but confused and panicked, her movements were slowed and her hooves felt numb when she set them down. The numbness spread though her entire body. Her surroundings where rapidly becoming more foggy until she couldn't see anything except for a city off in the distance and a clear path to the city. The city and the path seamed to slice though the mystical white fog that was slowly advancing on Darklight. Scared, Darklight felt adrenaline pulse though her veins. The quick boost to speed and strength made Darklight feel invincible. She wasn't stupid so she followed the path at speeds that almost caused a magical explosion of colour and sound. Darklight took a peek behind her to see if the fog was a safe distance away, but it was just a hair from her tail. Panicked, she put on an extra burst of speed and broke the speed of sound. Five seconds later, it hit her.
She was flying so fast that a pony flying in the air had no chance to avoid Darklight. Her reaction time was to slow to stop or fly around. Darklight braced for impact and collided with a wall. After fixing her broken neck, annoyed and confused, Darklight looked around. She was shocked that she completely phased through the pony and he didn't even notice. Darklight immediately came to the only logical explanation. She was in Serenity Candy's memories. This enraged Darklight. Serenity, a foal who accomplished nothing, had her memories. However, Darklight, an Alicorn, did not. She didn't know when or how, but Darklight was going to exterminate Serenity Candy.
