What happens when you put a changeling in a sea of ponies? Find out!
When a changeling named Widow Heart arrives in Ponyville, everypony has their suspicions. But when Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie welcome her to the town, the other mane 6 follow in their influence.
I was not sure whether to put Widow's character as a changeling, or other. I chose both.
As Widow flew into the town of Ponyville, she caught the attention of two ponies. Both had pink manes, yet one had a yellow coat, and the other had a pink coat. Widow Heart, a female changeling, that looked like the rest. Expect for her longer hair, flew to their level on ground, with a smile.
"Pinkie Pie..." Whispered the yellow one with worry.
"Hi." Widow Heart smiled.
"Hi! What's your name?" Pinkie asked.
Suddenly, four other ponies walked behind the pink maned two. They looked cautious, but they weren't going to attack Widow (Expect the Rainbow one might.) .
"Do you want some cake?" Asked Pinkie Pie. The mane six had brought Widow Heart to Sugar Cube Corners.
"Cake is yummy, but I prefer to eat emotions."
Answered Widow Heart, as if that was a normal thing to say. The mane six stared at her and shuck their heads. Despite the fact that Widow can only become full on emotions, she was still enjoying a milkshake.
"So Widow, where did you go after invading Canterlot?"Fluttershy asked.
"We found ourselves in a place full of love! It was delicious." Widow Heart giggled. They looked at her and sighed.
"Didn't you guys capture my little sister and her friends?" Rarity asked.
"What?" Widow asked in confusion. "I was gathering loving ponies in Saddlerabia. DELICIOUS." Widow laughed.
The girls were sleeping in Pinkie Pie's room, but Widow stayed awake do to hunger. "Oh.. I really don't want to do this.." Widow whispered, as she ate some love from the Mane six. Their love wouldn't lessen, but she still felt bad. She definitely wasn't using the six ponies for food, but, still. She fell asleep.
"I ate your emotions." Widow announced the next morning.
"What did they taste like?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"They tasted like cheese and crackers." Widow Heart told her.
"Oh, is that because our friendship can be so cheesy sometimes?"
Rainbow Dash asked sarcastically.
"Probably." Widow agreed.
"That was sarcasm." Rainbow Dash told her with a groan.
"What's sarcasm?"
Everypony attempted to teach Widow Heart. "Sarcasm is when you say something in a dry, dull, voice. What you say in sarcasm is the opposite of what you think." Twilight Sparkle explained.
"Okay. But wait, what does dull mean?" Widow asked.
"Dull is when something is boring! And uninteresting" Pinkie told her.
"And boring?" Widow asked.
"Not fun." Fluttershy explained kindly.
"Oh. It's been a while since I had fun.." Widow sighed.
"What do you mean?" Rarity asked.
"Ya. Everypony has fun." Applejack told her.
"We used to have fun at the Changeling Kingdom." Whispered Widow.
"What happened?" Rainbow Dash asked, sounding sympathetic for Widow for the first time.
"Queen Crysalis became power hungry. And emotion-hungry. Queen Crysalis somehow convinced us we were hungry. That we needed to force love from ponies to feed."Widow told her friends.
"I was reluctant, but all in all, love is my favorite meal, and eventually joined the Dearest Queen in her vicious hunt." Widow sighed.
"Why do you call her dearest queen after that?" Pinkie asked.
"Even after becoming power hungry, she still loved her subjects greatly. She's kinder then you'd ever believe."
Widow, was with Applejack and Rarity, when three fillies approached.
"Hi!" Two of them shouted, whilst the orange one attempted to remain cool.
"Oh, hello, Sweetie Belle!" Rarity greeted warmly. After all of Sweetie Belle's help at the boutique, she deserved recognition. After they all said hello, the fillies acknowledged Widow Heart.
"Huh? Who's that?" Asked Applebloom. "Is that a Changathingy?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Changeling." Giggled Widow.
"Can you transform into somepony?" Asked the orange ones suddenly interested in the conversation. Widow Heart transformed into Derpy Hooves and giggled like crazy as she turned back into herself.
"Wow!" The three said at once in amazement. Rarity and Applejack smiled.
"Why are you in Ponyville though? After the Canterlot Invasion..." Applebloom asked.
"I came to apologize for the Changelings, but I made friends, so I'm staying for a bit." Widow Heart explained. The Cutie Mark Crusaders instantly understood as they talked about their cutie mark quest.
"I wish Changelings could get cutie marks! There would be diversity in our kingdom!" Widow envied, but still beamed with happiness.
"That'd be cool." Scootaloo agreed.
"Transform into me!"
Sweetie Belle told Widow. Widow turned into Sweetie Belle while the Cutie Mark Crusaders laughed. Next it was Scootaloo's turn, as she turned into Scootaloo. Lastly, she turned into Applebloom, than back into herself.
"Aren't Changelings evil?" Asked Sweetie Belle.
"Sweetie Belle! Manners!" Scolded Rarity angrily.
Widow ignored the manners comment and talked, "Sorta. I don't think I'm evil, though." Widow smiled.
"Oh. Okay. If you don't think your evil, than others will agree with you." Sweetie Belle told her, her friends nodded at her words of wisdom.
"Some ponies still think I'm evil, though." Widow sighed.
"Well they're plain dumb!" Applebloom announced.
"I tried apologizing in Canterlot, but they didn't let me in." Widow explained. Applejack and Rarity joined in.
"Oh. Not even Celestia?" Rarity asked.
"I should explain what happened with everypony here."
The rest of the Mane six came over, much to Scootaloo's enjoyment. "Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo shouted happily.
"Hey, Sport!" Rainbow Dash greeted.
"So, Celestia, understandably didn't let me in Canterlot. Luna attempted to convince her to let me in to speak, but nope!" Widow explained with a sigh.
"That's horrible, Widow." Fluttershy told her. Spike entered and gasped.
"Is that a-a.." Spike breathed.
Widow walked over to Spike. "A Changeling. Yup." Answered Widow Heart.
"Spike, did you have a letter?" Twilight asked.
"You do realise.." Spike started. "Yeah. We know." Rainbow Dash assured him.
"But..." He was interrupted.
"If I was evil, Spike, don't you think I would've done something by now?" Widow asked.
"I guess." He sighed. "Here's your letter, Twi."
"Dear Twilight Sparkle, a Changeling attempted to enter Canterlot. Since we were recently under maximum security, we couldn't let it in. If it appears, make sure it has sincere intentions. If it is sincere, welcome it." Twilight read.
Widow was slightly upset the next day. She had to go back to the Changeling kingdom. She wasn't too excited to tell her newest friends. "Guys. We sorta need to talk."
"What's up, Widow?" Rainbow Dash asked, who had just started to trust Widow Heart.
"Well... I have to get back to the Changeling Kingdom..." Widow announced.
"Can we see you again?" Asked Fluttershy.
"Of course. I'm one of the kingdom's main representative. I may even attend meetings with Queen Crysalis here."
"Goodbye, everypony!" Widow shouted as she flew away.
