Chapter One - Nice To Know I'm Not Crazy

I blearily opened my eyes, my hair falling on my face. I tapped my clock's light-up button and saw the time of 10:46. I groaned.

"Damn, I slept in again!" I muttered, sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I opened my eyes fully and let my brain switch into wake-up mode where I would stumble about getting breakfast and settle down in front of my computer to check my notifications on FiMfiction, Wattpad and other sites.

That didn't happen today. What happened is...

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I exclaimed, not caring if the neighbours heard me. I stare at what used to be hands before checking the rest of my body.

'Tail, wings, cream coloured, weirdly coloured hair, hooves... I'm a pony.' I thought, examining my body and trying not to have a full on freak out. My hair was a dark red and yellow in a plait for my mane and what seemed to be a stylish braid on my tail, my coat and wings were cream coloured, I guessed my eyes were a dark turquoise, I didn't have a cutie-mark; but if I was who I thought I was I wouldn't have one.

My voice had a slight British accent and was higher than my normal one. "How am I a pony? Let alone my OC Radiance?" I mumbled, I half fell, half stepped out of my bed and onto my floor landing on my face.

"Oww." I said, rubbing my muzzle. "It's too early to deal with this kind of crap." I muttered, knowing full well it wasn't early. Pushing myself onto my hooves I took a few hesitant steps forward and face met floor once again.

"Step one: learn to walk. Step two: teach myself to fly. Step three: uh... explain this to my family." I said, standing up slightly wobbly and taking a step forwards gingerly.

After ten minutes or so I managed to learn how to walk and run in the medium sized space of my room. "Now wings." I said, gently touching the new appendages on my body. I felt the nerves fire once I touched my wings as I sat on my haunches, I gently pulled my left wing open and then my right one to get a feel of which muscles to move.

I flapped them gently and rose thirty centimetres in the air before dropping down onto the ground again. I flapped them again, rising higher as I flapped harder and eventually reaching the roof before gliding down onto my bed.

I flapped them again, managing to get a nice hover going and dropping to the floor. "There, wings check." I said and pulled the door open 'I'm so lucky I keep my door open.' and glanced at the lounge. No one was home, I sighed and understood why no one came when I screamed.

I took a guess that my family had gone out to do the shopping and I had the place to myself for an hour or so. "First things first. Water and food." I said, and trotted into the kitchen to grab a cup.

On my first try I couldn't grab the cup, on my second I grabbed it but I dropped it, on my third I could hold it for a few seconds, on my fourth I could hold it for a bit before I dropped it. During the course of half an hour this went on.

After grabbing the cup, I hovered and filled it up using the water dispenser. I took a sip and scowled, it was warm. I finished the cup and filled it again this time it was cold, I finished my second cup and put it down.

I grabbed a fridge door and pulled at it with all my might before swapping to the other one, realising I was pulling at the one which was hard to open. I opened the fridge fairly easily and pulled out a drawer and grabbed a carrot from the bag using my hooves which was fairly hard.

Once I had my treat, I closed the fridge and dropped the the ground; carrot in my mouth as I chewed it. I trotted over to my Dad's PC and logged in, (Note, using hooves with a computer is hard!) heading for Equestria Daily and the News sites.

Opening both in separate tabs I watched the video of Lauren Faust AKA Celestia asking the Elements to head to New York, I stare at the computer for a few seconds before I shook my head and logged off.

Jumping off the chair I thought about what was happening, Bronies all around the world were turning into ponies; personally, I blamed Discord; who else could possibly cross dimensions and turn people into ponies?

After another half an hour of getting used to my new body, my family came home. I heard the car and glanced up from my book when I heard my brother and sister chatting loudly as they walked in.

I took a deep breath and stood up and trotted to the front door and my sister knocked, I flew up and unlocked the door with my teeth and backed off so I wouldn't get banged in the face.

I landed a bit away and waited as they opened the door and walked in carrying the shopping, Terry stopped and stared at me while Misha dropped the bags she was carrying in shock before squealing in glee and hugging me.

"Misha, can't. Breathe." I managed to get out. "Oh sorry." She said letting go. "Thanks." I said gasping. "Wait, how do you know my name?" She asked, glancing at me questioningly. "It's me, Isabella." I said, flapping my wings. "Isabella? Then how are you a pony?" "I've got no idea. Where's Mum?" "Getting James."

I nodded and trotted through the front door, heading to the garage. "Hey Mum!" I said, spotting her carrying the last of the shopping walking with James. "Who are you?" She asked, staring at me. "Mum, it's me Isabella!" I said. "Isabella? If you're Isabella, how did you become a, a pony?" She asked, I shrugged. "No idea, woke up like this." I answered.

"I saw this thing on Facebook, I thought it was a hoax. Seems it isn't." My Mum said, I nodded and trotted up to my little brother. "Hey James, it's me Isabella." I said with a smile. James smiled and patted my nose with a grin.

After explaining to my family what happened they were surprisingly understanding about it, we conversed on what to do next. We eventually settled on "Do Nothing", which was the best course of option, we went about the day normally; though it was hard for me to be able to use my hooves I finally managed to get the basics of them down.

Same for my wings, surprisingly; flying is harder than hovering, and can also land on clouds; which I discovered by crashing into one when I was trying to slowly my descent, it worked luckily.

"Isabella! I need a hand." Terry said, he was fiddling around on the computer. "Mods?" "Mods." He confirmed, I sighed and got to work. Having to dictate to my brother was getting annoying, even though it was fun to boss him around.

"Now drag them into the folder." "Like this?" "Yep, we're done here." I jumped off the seat and onto the floor. "Thanks Isabella." "Welcome." I said before going to find my cat, which I was going to snuggle the day away with.
