"Twilight? I'm back." Spike called out as he entered the library and was greeted with silence. A jammed railroad switch had caused the train to be delayed and the sun was setting by the time he got back to Ponyville, leaving the inside quite dim since hardly any lights were on, "Twi?" Switching on a couple, he spotted a sight that also explained everything.

Twilight was curled up on the couch, sound asleep and an open book laying on her chest. Spike smiled at the sight and made his way over to his slumbering lover. Getting close he leaned down near her ear, his breath on it making her squirm in her sleep a little.

"Wakey, wakey, Beautiful." He whispered, brushing a few loose strands of hair out of her face.

"Hmmmwaha..?" One eye opened halfway. When it met his both opened and the corners of her mouth turned up in a sleepy smile, "Spike." She whispered, "I was starting to get worried."

"Sorry." He replied, almost as quietly before giving an apologetic kiss, "Train took a little longer than I expected."

Unfortunately for Twilight, a spark of realization punching through her sleep-addled mind: she'd left all her charts and graphs out on the desk! "Uh-oh."

"What's wrong?"

"Uh..I..I had made a sandwich earlier, but I don't remember if I cleared it off the table. Could you check real fast? Just want to be sure nothing got into it." Her smile turned slightly embarrassed.

"Heh, ok, I'll go see." He said before heading to the kitchen.

A soon as he was gone, Twilight's horn lit up, encasing everything on her desk in her magic aura and stuffing it all into the drawers. She looked over to make sure she'd gotten it all, and after confirming she did, slumped back in time for Spike to come back in.

"No, you'd already gotten it, Twi. Table and sink were clear."

"Oh, ok. Just wasn't sure." She chuckled, "That was close..."

"So, anything fun happen while I was gone?"

"Smoothed things over with Rarity over a misunderstanding, but not much else.. " She yawned, "I take it things went ok for you?"

"Yeah, once you and the other members of this herd we're making decide you want kids, I'll just have to head back and get the spell reversed. That and I learned to never go back there alone."

"Why?

"Let's just say I found out exactly why you almost got violent with those mares that one time." He shuddered slightly.

"Oh? Oh." Her eyes narrowed a little in realization, "Them." The very memory of how brazenly those mares propositioned him still rankled her, "Yeah, I believe you won't."

"Either way, I'm just glad to be done with it all." He plopped down beside her, yawning, "I'm exhausted."

"Well, if it helps," She scooted up against him, using her magic to lock the door, "I'm still kind of sleepy myself."

"Bed?"

"Works for me." Her smile suddenly turned mischievous. "Last one there has to be my teddy bear!" With a flash of purple light, she vanished.

It took Spike a second to register what just happened, "Oh, that's cheating!" He commented as he headed to the stairs, "Not that I'm complaining about the stakes, mind you. But still."

It wasn't long before both occupants of Golden Oaks were sound asleep in each other's arms.

"Hm, could've sworn I put it in here somewhere." Spike muttered, digging through his closet.

"Spike, what are you doing?" Twilight spoke up from the doorway of his bedroom, "You've been up here for almost half an hour."

"Trying to find something decent I can wear for tomorrow."

"Why tom...oh! Oh yeah, it's your date with Scootaloo, isn't it?" She grinned.

"Yeah." He pulled out a grey t-shirt, and promptly put it back when he saw the large hole in it, "Though, I'll admit I'm still kinda getting used around the entire herd prospect." He added, "Whole thing's still a little new to me..." He stopped when he felt a pair of slender arms wrap around his waist.

"I'm not too surprised. After all, it has only been a few days since then." Twilight nuzzled his back, "Don't worry, Spike. It'll be fine, I'm sure of it."

"Me too!" A third voice called out right behind her, making them both jump.

"YIKE!!" Twilight yelped, almost jumping onto Spike's shoulders, causing him to windmill around some to keep his balance, "What the-Pinkie!" She glared at the mare currently on Spike's bed.

"Hi guys!" Pinkie chirped, a wide smile on her face.

"What're you doing in here?" Spike asked once Twilight had gotten off him.

"Sitting down." She punctuated it by bouncing a couple of times on the mattress, giggling, "This bed is comfy!"

"W-wha...?" He trailed off, watching her 'endowments' keep time with the bounces.

Twilight rolled her eyes in amusement at his reaction and lightly elbowed him, "Spike..."

"Whodawha!? N-no, no, I mean why are you here?" He said after snapping out of it, "More specifically, why are you in my room?"

"Oh! I came to ask you out!" She chirped before hopping off the bed, still bouncing as she closed the gap between them, "The Cakes are heading to Baltimare for their anniversary Tuesday, and taking the twins with them. They'll be gone for a couple of days so they decided to just close the Corner till they get back and gave me the time off." Her smile turned sultry as she ran her fingertips over his arm, "I was wondering, since it'll be quiet and kinda lonely there, you could come over for a little dinner?" The smile widened as she edged closer, her chest pressing against him and voice turning slightly husky, "Maybe even a little pie afterwards?"

Twilight felt her cheeks heat up a little. That was the first time she'd ever heard Pinkie say anything quite that sexual!

On the other hand, however...

The tone she used quickly brought up the memory of her and Spike's first official morning together, along with a certain cyan mare. She involuntary shivered as she recalled their hands running along her body-and vice versa-, along with both their tongues lathing against and inside...

"Uhh-ohh..." She shivered, almost blissfully. When the feeling passed, she couldn't help herself, "Well, he does love his pie." She purred, wrapping her arms back around him, "In more ways than one."

Pinkie raised an eye at this...

Before breaking out into a wide grin, "Well, I hope you don't mind if maybe I share my 'personal' favorite with him sometime, Twily."

Twilight was about to respond when a light cough from between them caught their attention.

"A-as enjoyable as it is talking about these pies are, I think maybe we should get back to the original subject?" Spike asked in a somewhat scratchy voice; the blush he had was seeping into his crest and wisps of smoke could be seen from his nostrils.

"Original....? Oh! Right" Pinkie's eyes brightened when she remembered, "So.....?" She looked up at him hopefully.

He quickly took a deep breath to clear his head of the surprisingly erotic conversation, "When should I be down there?"

Twilight giggled to herself when her pink friend squealed out a loud "YEEESSSSS!" before bouncing up to give their dragon---wait...their dragon?? "Well, Pinkie DID admit how she feels about him, so it does kinda make sense." She thought to herself, watching Pinkie give him a quick peck on the lips.

"How's Wednesday at five sound?" At his nod she giggled and skipped out the door, "See ya there, Spikey!"

"Smooth, Spike." Twilight smirked at his expression as they watched her leave, "Luckily you're a better cook than a flirter."

Spike huffed in faux indignation, 'I heard no complaints from you the other day." He grinned, "Though that does bring up one one question."

"Hm?"

"At the moment, I can't tell what I'm feeling most now," He planted both hands on the dresser behind her, effectively pinning her between his arms, "Hungry, or horny." The forked tip of his tongue flicked against her nose, rewarding him with a squeak and a blush.

"Oh?" Her expression slowly turned coy, "And how do you plan to figure out which?"

His answer came in a familiar growl that sent a tingle through her body, "Care to help me find the answer?"

-----------The Next Day-----------

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Just a second." Twilight's voice called out before the door open a few moments later.

"Hey, Twilight." Scootaloo said when she came into view, wearing a pair of cutoffs that showed off her slender legs and a cropped tank top, "Um, is Spike ready?"

"He should be. Let me doublecheck." She stepped away, "Spike? Scootaloo's here!"

"Wait, she's HERE?" Came the puzzled reply from the kitchen, followed by rapid chewing, "I thought the guys were supposed to pick the girls up!"

"Heh, I guess that's something Big Mac forgot to tell him." Scootaloo remarked, bouncing on her hooves a little.

"Looks like it." Twilight raised her voice slightly again, "Sometimes, but them coming to meet the guy is more commonplace, now hurry up!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" He jogged into view, wearing a t-shirt and jeans he was currently stuffing a few aquamarines into the pockets of, "Hey, Scoots."

"H-hi, Spike." The young pegasus blushed.

Twilight fought back the giggle that nearly escaped at her reaction, "All right you two, go and enjoy the show. Oh, and try to get home before it gets too late, ok?"

"We wiil, Twi, don't worry." He kissed her before stepping out and taking Scootaloo's hand, "Be back later."

Watching the two of them leave, Twilight glanced back to the desk drawer her charts were hidden in, "Hmm.."
