Twilight and her friends is having a party in Twilights castle. but something isnt right.
It’s not easy realising that you will live forever and your friends wont. Luckily Twilight have found a way to keep her friends with her... forever
Note: I’m writing this as one long story, but to make it easier for people i will make it into 5 chapters. So when a chapter is done the next one will start right after the ending of the previous chapter.
Another day and another set of royal duties done with. It was early evening and Twilight walked into the library to relax. She closed the doors after her, making sure nopony had followed her in there. She couldn’t have anypony finding out her little secret.
She walked over to a large old looking wooden bookshelf hidden behind a couple of never crystal bookshelfs she had gotten from the Crystal Empire. It wasn’t visible when you first entered the room. Using her magic she moved the bookshelf to the side, revealing a narrow hidden path that lead downstairs. Walking slowly down the steps Twilight moved the bookshelf back over the passage, sealing it so nopony could see what was behind it.
Twilight´s horn began to glow sparking a light so she could see where she put her hoofs preventing her from falling. She walked slowly down the steps, her hoofsteps making an echo that bounced of the slick and solid brick walls. She knew in her mind what was down at the end of the steps, and a little part of her knew how wrong and disgusting this place was and yet she just kept on walking. The closer she got to the end, the more she began to smile, like she wasn’t herself anymore. She started mumbling, the words getting higher the closer she got to her destination. Now the little part of her mind that was disgusted by this place, were replaced by a whole other Twilight. If anypony who knew her saw Twilight like this, they would think it was a Changeling or some sort of magic controlling her.
“Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy. I´m coming to see you, I still hope you are down here” She said, the words still echoing of the walls.
“I know you are probably all mad at me, but you could at least answer when I’m calling. You know I had to do what I did”
Twilight got to the end of the steps, entering a big dark room. Using her magic she ignited a couple of torches on the walls. The room lit up, revealing what was in there. On the left side of Twilight there stood a small bucket full of apples, next to it there were a shelf with party hats, streamers, cakes and a couple of stuffed bunnies, butterflies and birds. In the middle of the room stood a big table with three chairs on each side, on the table were plates, candles, cutlery and cups. On each plate there was a paper cutout representing six cutiemarks. Three apples, three gems, three balloons, three butterflies, a cloud with a multicolored lightning bolt and a star on the last plate. On the right side of the room there stood a big wardrobe, and next to it stood a mirror that something or somepony were holding. Up against the wall in the middle of both sides, there were five strange cylinders with a number on each one.
Twilight walked over to the cylinder that had a number one on it, she opened it and out fell the lifeless body of Applejack. The body didn’t have any eyes only two black empty sockets. They had been removed together with the other organs, so the body wouldn’t rot and begin to smell.
“There you were AJ. I thought you left me and the others. Oh well you know what time it is right?” Using her magic Twilight levitated the body to a standing position, holding it up and moving the limbs like Applejack were still alive.
“Come on now Applejack, we have to make apple cider for the party. We don’t want to disappoint our friends now do we?” Twilight said her eye began to twitch, while a small grin appeared. Using her magic she made Applejacks corpse walk over to the apples and began to slam the lifeless hooves down on the apples, smashing them into bits, pieces flying out of the bucket onto the floor.
“Good job AJ even if you made quite a mess.” Twilight looked at Applejack noticing one of the front hooves where missing from the joint and down, it had felt off during the apple smashing. Twilight shook her head, turning Applejacks head towards her so she could stare into the empty eye sockets.
“See AJ that´s what happens when you work too hard, now I have to fix you again, just like last week. But that will have to wait, you done your part so you can just sit at the table and wait for the others to arrive.”
Applejack´s head naught, her body walked over to the chair in front of the plate with her cutiemark. Sitting down the head fell backwards, revealing some strings that went all around the neck and all the way down the body stopping at the back hooves. Twilight looked at AJ for a second with a grin on her face. Remembering when she first brought Applejack down to the room, or rather lured her down there. She remembered how AJ had come to the castle on Twilights request.
"So what have gotten you so exited sugar cube?”
“Oh I found a secret room behind a bookshelf in the library, and I wanted to show it to you Applejack”
“What about the others Twi, Are they coming too?”
“I’m going to show them another time, I thought it would be great to do this together” Twilight had said with a big grin on her face.
She snapped back, seeing Applejack sitting on the chair she shook her head. “Don’t worry AJ, the others will probably be here soon, actually I think I hear somepony at the door right now” Twilight said, her left eye twitching and her grin had turned into a wicked smile. After controlling Applejack´s body Twilight´s mane had turned into a mess, hair sticking out from all sides. She trotted over to the next cylinder, noticing Applejacks hat were on the floor in front of the first cylinder. How stupid of her forgetting to give Applejack her hat. She quickly levitated the hat onto AJ´s head. She knew she had forgotten something, but now it looked right.
Twilight opened the cylinder with a number 2 on it, this time the limb body of Rarity fell out, this time however she were ready and cached the body, it looked like Rarity had fainted into her hooves.
Rarity´s body wasn’t damaged as much as Applejacks were, really there were only a few scratches on her. However her head were another case. On her forehead there was a clear cut that had been badly sown together, it looked like it could spring open at any second, and Rarity´s horn had taken some damage too, it had been broken off and Twilight had tied it together with some string. Rarity´s mane and tail was in nearly perfect condition, still had the same twirl with her tail and the little part of her mane in the front rolled up as when she was alive. Her eyes just like Applejacks were removed, but instead of leaving empty holes, Twilight had replaced them with small beautiful round blue sapphires matching her original eyes. “There you are Rarity. I knew I heard somepony at the door. But I must say falling into my hooves like this is kind of dramatic don’t you think”
A nervous giggle was heard from Twilight as she lifted rarity to a standing position, Twilight had filled Rarity´s body with wool so she could stand herself, but to move Rarity, Twilight still had to use her magic. The sapphires shone in the otherwise empty eye sockets, giving the feeling that Rarity was still alive. “Oh my Rarity, did you forget your dress at home? Don’t you worry I got you covered. Being a princess and all is giving me a lot of good stuff, but it can be a curse too”
Twilight´s mind trailed of for a second with that last statement. Shaking her head and the thoughts away she looked at Rarity, grabbing the body with her magic and leading it over to the wardrobe. “Now Rarity you can choose whatever dress you like, I just got a beautiful new dress from the Crystal Empire that I think you´ll really love. It´ll match your beautifully shining eyes too”
A glow of magical energy grabbed a turquoise dress that shined like a diamond. From the neck all the way down there was a line on each side, made of dust from red crushed crystals, and on the middle of the dress a grain yellow heart was visible. It were a bit of a struggle for Twilight to put the dress onto Rarity, but after a couple of minutes of moving the limbs the right way so they wouldn’t fall off like with Applejack, the dress were on. “There you go Rarity. I think it looks great on you. Why don’t you walk over to Spike and look in the mirror he is holding, so you can see yourself”
Placing Rarity in front of the mirror Twilight´s eyes began to blur, her thoughts taking her back again, this time to when Rarity and the dragon Spike were down in the room with her. It had been a few days after she had shown Applejack the room. She told Rarity and Spike that there was a clue to where Applejack was, they had trusted Twilight and followed her. Twilight had walked behind the others, ready to strike when the time came.
“I must say darling I’m worried for Applejacks wellbeing. I really hope whatever it is you found down here will help us in the search”
“Don´t you worry Rarity if Twilights is saying she found something, I’m sure it´s true. She would never lie.”
“I’m just hoping we can get out of here in a hurry. This place creeps me out, and who knows what kind of icky things that’s down here”
Twilight remembered how they had entered the room. She had lit the torches and the first thing Rarity’s eyes saw had made her scream, the corpse of Applejack was in the first container, looking at Rarity with its empty eyes. Spike had turned his head towards Twilight, looking at her with a scared look. Trying to say something, but he had been too shocked by the discovery to get the words out. This had been the time for Twilight to strike. She had used her magic to hit Spike and Rarity on the head with a metal rod, breaking Rarity’s horn in half. They had both fallen to the ground unconscious.
Twilight opened her eyes again, Rarity still standing in front of the mirror that the little dragon Spike were holding. He had been nailed to the ground to make sure he didn’t fall and broke the mirror. Twilight had carved his mouth with a knife so it looked like he smiled, she had to do it due to that Spike had frowned when she had killed him because of fear and unhappiness. “I knew that dress would fit you perfectly, and I can see that Spike thinks the same. Just look at his smile. If you just find your place at the table with Applejack and talk a bit, I’m sure the others will be here sooner than later.” Once again the body of Rarity was surrounded by magic that began to move her hooves and body towards the table, carefully sitting her down to the right side to Applejack, her head falling backwards like AJ´s. Twilight began to make small jumps, she were exited that her friends were coming over. It felt like eternity since the last time they had been together, it must have been from all the duties she had gotten from being a princess. But now were not the time to think of those things, there were still stuff to do and she knew another one of her friends would be there soon.
She slowly began to walk to the third cylinder. She had gotten a strange heavy feeling in her hooves and chest, almost like something tried to prevent her from opening it. This wouldn’t stop her though and she pushed on, the feeling wouldn’t go away however and her thoughts once again began to go wild. Her vision fainted a bit while in her head she could hear somepony beg for mercy. She heard screams and it sounded like they were close to where she stood. She heard a faint sound of a cry, but it sounded like it was further away than the screams and begging. Twilight shook her head, regaining her vision and the sounds slowly disappeared. Without hesitation she opened the third cylinder, a pink body with a puffy hair fell onto the ground.
Twilight levitated the pink body to a sanding position. “Pinkie I’m so glad you could come, I need your help for a special task. You have to help me pick the decorations and cake for the party we are having, doesn’t that sound exiting?” The pink pony´s head naught’d, the body of Pinkie Pie had no damage at all to it. The stitches made on her body were well sewn together, her eyes were still missing though and she had a big smile on her lips, this smile weren’t carved like Spikes were, it was simply sewn on. The body began to walk towards the shelf with party stuff, cakes and stuffed animals on it.
“So Pinkie what do you think we should use, and what kind of cake would you like. What is that Pinkie? Do you want streamers and a chocolate cake? Well that sounds like a great idea, this is why you are the best party pony in the town” Twilight levitated some streamers from the shelf onto the table and some onto the heads of Rarity and Applejack. She proceeded to get the chocolate cake on the top of the shelf. It was decorated with a couple of berries on the top, and on the side there were flowers made of marzipan with different colors. Gently levitating it down onto the table Twilight looked over at pinkie, she was standing with her face looking at the shelf, almost like she was thinking of something.
“What´s wrong Pinkie, is something missing?” Twilight thought for a second, then her eyes shot open. “Of course you are thinking about Gummy aren´t you, don’t worry I’m sure Mr. and Ms. Cake will take good care of him until you get back. Why don’t you just sit down with AJ and Rarity, I just have to fix something and then I’ll be with you shortly.”
Pinkie walked towards the table and the others, she sat down opposite of Rarity. Her head felt down onto the plate, causing a couple of the cups to fall over. Twilight heard this but was focused on getting the stuff to fix AJ´s leg. She found a needle she could use to sew it back on, the leg was levitating above her head. She turned around. Walking towards the table with needle, leg and string in her magic she made small noises with her mouth. It sounded like a dialog with herself or rather an argument.
“What have I done to them, they were my friends, they trusted me” “We had to and you know it, or else we would be left alone” “It’s not right, it’s just isn’t” “Shut it, this will be our first party with them like this. But not the last”
She arrived at the table, looking at the mess Pinkie had caused. She shook her head and walked over to Applejack, Twilight sad down next to AJ beginning to sew her leg back on. “Pinkie I’m happy that you are exited and all, but next time you could at least put the cups back up so it doesn’t look like a mess. But I guess I have to do it then, just have to fix Applejack here.” Twilight finished her work on the leg, now it should be able to stay on for some time she thought. Looking at the table she began to move the cups back onto the positions they were on before Pinkie had made them fall over. When she were done she looked over at Pinkie once again, memories rolled over her once again. How she had lured the pink pony down into the room, how she had knocked Pinkie out like with Rarity and of course what she did.
“Twilight, is that you” “Hi pinkie, you were out for a long time I must say. But now you are awake and we can begin” “Begin, Begin what. And why does my head hurt and was that Rarity and Applejack I saw before?” “Yes Pinkie, they are here with me, and soon you will join them too. I know it must be difficult to understand why, but I’m doing this so we can be together forever” “Twilight I’m a bit scared now, this is not really how you should prank anypony. Heh” “Oh Pinkie this is not a prank, I’m doing this for our friendship” Twilight´s mind returned to reality once again, Pinkie´s head were still on the table with her body leaned forward.
Twilight hung her head, taking deep breaths she raised her head again and looked at Pinkie. “Wake up pinkie, there is only missing two more guest´s and then we can get this party started. Maybe I should go get Fluttershy. She is probably late cause of her animal friends, who knows maybe she will bring some of them” Twilight said, her pupils got smaller and her smile widened, she turned around from the table towards the cylinders.
Twilight moved towards the fourth cylinder with Fluttershy in it, she stopped and realized she had forgotten something. She turned her head towards the shelf with the animals and party stuff on it, some of the animals began to levitate towards Twilight, a beaver, a couple of butterflies and a very recognizable white bunny. They got placed in front of the fourth cylinder, almost like they waited for Fluttershy to come out. Before opening it though she looked at the fifth cylinder which was empty “Soon they will all be with me, and then they will never leave me”
Taking a deep breath she opened up for the yellow pegasi to get out. Like with the others Twilight was met with empty eye sockets, Fluttershy could stand like Rarity without falling out or onto the ground, her wings was sewn to her sides so they would hang lifelessly from her body, a couple of feathers were missing on the wings, it had been hard for Twilight to keep them in perfect condition, her mouth had been sewn so it was slightly open, looking like Fluttershy always was about to say something and her pink mane was gently falling down her right side like she was still alive. “Fluttershy I’m so happy you could join us, and I see you took some animals with you and of course Angel Bunny as well”
Twilight walked over and gave Fluttershy a hug, sheeting a small tear for her friends. “Oh by the way Fluttershy, did you tell Rainbow Dash to meet us?”
Twilight stared at the yellow pegasi in front of her, waiting for an answer she somewhere in her mind knew wouldn’t come. “No. Oh that is quite all right Fluttershy. You were probably busy with the small critters, giving them food and all. Really it’s not that big of a deal, she is probably flying around Ponyville right now. Let’s sit down for a moment and talk, then I´ll go out and get Rainbow later.”
Fluttershy’s head naught’d, the body walked towards the table and sat itself down in front of Applejack and next to Pinkie Pie. Twilight sad down between Fluttershy and Pinkie pie, she looked around at the others with a smile of pure insanity. “So girls I wanted to ask you how you are all doing?”
She looked around, her eyes stopped blinking for a couple of seconds while she waited for some sort of answer, she knew there wouldn’t be any answers but to protect her from reality her mind made up the answers she were waiting. “I’m glad to hear you are all doing so well, I guess I have to get Rainbow now so we can get this party started”
Twilight moved from her seat and the table, she walked over to the closet with the dresses and levitated something down from the top of it. “Okay girls you just sit here and talk have some cake or something and have fun. I’ll just go out and find Rainbow so she can be a part of this too” Twilight didn’t even look at the table or the others while saying this, she had to prepare for when Rainbow would show up. She knew that it wouldn’t be easy, seeing as Rainbow could put up a good fight when something wasn’t right. A couple of chains were levitated up to a wooden board in the ceiling and wrapped around it. This wouldn’t be enough though, so like when Rarity had come down, she placed a steel pipe next to the entrance. Twilight thought about what to do, her eyes widened and she began to smile, slowly she began to move towards the stairs, her mind were only fixated on one thing and that was to get Rainbow down into the room so she could join the others and so she would never leave Twilight.
Stepping outside the castle Twilight looked up into the skies, the sun was on its way down, saying goodbye once again to all the ponies in Equestria, and by its side the moon began to rise, showing it was about time to get some rest. This was not the case for Twilight however. She had to find Rainbow and the faster the better, she ran towards the town square yelling like somepony who had just found a dead body. A couple of ponies opened their windows to see what was going on, when they saw it was Twilight they realized she maybe had found the others of her friends. It had been the big topic to talk about, how Twilight friends had disappeared seemingly out of thin air without a word to their families or anypony for that matter. Now that she looked for Rainbow they all hoped she had found some form of clue to where the others had gone.
“HEY TWILIGHT SLOW DOWN” The cyan blue Pegasus with the beautiful rainbow mane and tail flew from the skies landing a couple of feet in front of Twilight, Looking at her with a worried expression. “Are you okay there Twi, you look like you just saw a ghost or something. Is it about the others, did you find something?” Rainbow looked at Twilight with big eyes, it was clear that she hoped it was good news about the others.
“I… I just… I mean I found…” Twilight took a deep breath to relax herself, her mane was still a mess like when she was down in the secret room, but nopony made a notice of it seen as she just had run and sounded like she was in a panic. “I need you at the castle, it’s about the others but I need to show you something” Her heartbeat and breathing was slowly turning normal again.
“Lead the way if we can get our friends back soon I’ll do anything” With that they both stormed towards the castle, Rainbow with a glimmer of hope in her eyes, and Twilight with a small insane smile on her face.
The sound of hoofsteps echoed through the stairway leading down to the room were the other of Twilight and Rainbow´s friends were sitting, Twilight walked behind Rainbow with her horn glowing so the steps were visible to them. “So how long have you known about this place Twilight, and how did you find it in the first place?”
“Well when I was looking for some clues to were our friends could have gone, I stumbled upon this hallway and a room at the end of it. I found a map that seems to show the location for all of us. I think it have something to do with the magic from when we had the Elements of Harmony.” Twilight bit her lip slightly. She was worried that Rainbow would realize something was wrong, and ruin the whole plan, luckily the pegasi just continued to walk down the stairs. Normally she would have used her wings to fly with, but the tight space made it impossible for her to even spread them out from her body.
Rainbow stopped and turned her head towards Twilight, looking at her with a wondering expression. “Why haven’t you gone out to get them if that is the case, I mean you could always have shown me this later and what if our friends are in trouble?”
Twilight almost bumped into Rainbow due to this sudden stop, when she heard the question her mind began to go into a panic. How should she react to this, should she attack or try to play it cool and make a quick excuse and hope it worked out? Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, she looked at Rainbow with a calm expression. “I wanted to make sure it really worked, so if I got you down here I would be able to see if the map would place two of the marks next to each other. If that is the case then we know it works”
Rainbow looked at her friend for a second. She made a small naught with her head and started to walk down the stairs again, Twilight´s mind began to relax and return to her original thought about the next step in her plan. She knew that when the lights in the room got lit she had to act quickly or else Rainbow would be able to knock Twilight to the ground and escape. The two ponies arrived at the end. Twilight stopped the glow from her horn so she wouldn’t ruin the surprise for Rainbow. “Two seconds I have to light some torches to lit up the room, you just take a step forward and wait”
They both stepped into the dark room, now Twilight would be able to grab the metal pipe and knock Rainbow out when the time came. Her horn glowed again and in just a second the room got lit up from the torches on the walls. Rainbow got blinded for a second by the sudden light. She blinked a couple of times and what she saw made her wonder what Twilight used this place for. The first thing she saw was the five cylinders, four open and the fifth still closed. She looked to her left, seeing the apple bucket with smashed apples in it, and next to it the wooden shelf with a couple of stuffed animals, cakes, party hats and streamers. She looked to her right side, and the first thing she saw send chills down her back. Standing lifelessly next to a wardrobe was the little dragon Spike holding a big mirror. Rainbow slowly turned her head further to the right and the sight meeting her eyes made her gasp and freeze in her place. All of her friends, sitting next to a decorated table looking like they were having a party. But it was easy for the pegasus to see what Twilight had done, the stitches holding the others together were clearly visible, and the empty eye sockets starred at her. With tears coming from her eyes she turned to face the Princess behind her, however she didn’t get a word out before she was struck and knocked to the ground, the last thing she saw before her vision got black was a smiling Twilight.
Rainbow Dash awoke with a shock and was in a panic, the minds of what she had seen before getting knocked out were still in her head. She looked around, noticing she was held above the ground by chains wrapped tightly around her hooves. She tried to move wings, but she could feel something held them in place. She tried a bit harder but only the sound of chains was heard, and she didn’t move an inch. Looking forward she saw the cylinders once again, noticing that the one that was closed before now had been opened, and in front of it stood a smiling Twilight. Tears were forming in her eyes once again, both from fear and sadness. “Twilight, please tell me this isn’t true… it can’t be, you would never do anything like this to us.”
Twilight moved closer to the pegasi, in her magic she had a bloodstained knife. She kept her smile and when she was right in front of Rainbow she looked into her eyes. “I’m doing this so we can be together forever, I’m a Princess now and therefor immortal” She took a deep breath before continuing, a couple of tears leaved her eyes. She looked away from Rainbow for a second, gathering herself before she looked back. “It´s just something I have to do for all of us, I won’t be leaved behind so I’m just making sure it won’t happen. Just relax Rainbow I promise it will be over quickly.”
Rainbow closed her eyes waiting for what to come. The knife moved quickly into rainbows stomach, a loud scream erupted from the weather pony as she felt the knife going upwards. The screams started Twilight´s mind again, this time she was taken back to when she had Fluttershy with her, she remembered how the yellow pegasus had cried and begged, how she had asked over and over again why Twilight did this. She saw the faces of the small animals that were trapped in a cage so they wouldn’t interfere. One thing her mind blocked however, was how she had done the procedure to her friends, every time she started her mind would wander off and think about her friends and what they had done when they were about to get the procedure. And every time when her mind would return, the job was done. It was the same pattern with Rainbow, when she finally returned the cyan pegasus was sewn together. Eyes had been taken out, the mouth sewn so it looked like she were smiling and the body had been stuffed with wool so she could stand for herself, and not fall over like Applejack.
Twilight jumped around the body, releasing it from the chains and carefully putting it down onto the ground. “There you go RD, don’t you just feel so much better now. If you just sit down at the table between Rarity and Applejack. Then I’ll be over in just a second.”
Like the others the body began to move with the help from Twilights magic, it walked over to the chair between Rarity and Applejack. The Princess looked at her friends, smiling as she began to walk over to the chair between Pinkie and Fluttershy. “Now that we are all here we can finally begin the party, but first I want to say a few words”
Taking a deep breath Twilight opened her mouth to say something, but all of a sudden her mouth felt dry. She looked around at her friends, only now she realized what she had done to her friends. It was like the lifeless bodies stared at her, judging her for what she had done to them. Twilights mind began to fill with the thoughts of her friends last moments, all of the screams all the questions. All the things her mind had blocked out before started to come forward, what she had done, how she had done it. She could see how the life had left the bodies of her friends when they had given up. Now that she stood there about to make a speech, Twilight realized what monster she had become. Sitting down onto the chair again the only thing she could get out of her mouth was.
