The Jar, The Spoon, and The Princess

View Online

Justin plopped right down om to one of the outside chairs that was placed behind his home with a jar in his hand and a spoon held in his lips. He unscrewed the jar's lid right off and set it on his lap before removing the spoon from his lips and breathing a sigh of relief. It had been a few weeks since his little Manehattan pirate experience, so it was nice to him that he finally got time to relax and run his shoppe like usual.

Although, ideas for new flavor blends got inspired by the events. That wasn't his focus though, his was set on the night sky. Eyes scanning each star and even the moon as he sat in a t-shirt and fleece pajama bottoms he brought back from his world that one time. He spooned a nice glob of peanut butter in his mouth and started to 'chew' on it for a good five minutes before gulping it down.

A hum soon followed his swallow, "Luna really outdid herself tonight." He commented, unaware of the presence behind him.

"Why thank you, we usually take pride in our work." A rather regal voice piped up from behind.

Justin screamed out shortly, jumping up out of his chair and immediately launching a glob of peanut butter from his spoon to the intruder. Little too late as he realized just who had stopped by for a visit. A splat on their cheek with a now big splotch of creamy nutty butter. Justin gasped and quickly scrambled over to the pony.

"Princess Luna! I'm so sorry!" Justin seemed to stumble over everything in his way as he tried to wipe the peanut butter from her cheek. "You just snuck up on me and I reacted and-"

He was cut off by a hoof being tapped against his lips. "We understand, although it should be our fault for sneaking up on a creature such as yourself."

Justin then took a step back and his face contorted to one of curiosity. "Then... why are you here?"

"Well, we were performing our usual spell to make sure that most of our ponies were asleep and well at it when we sensed that a rather young presence wasn't sleeping well.. or at all." Luna replied.

"Oh... well.. would you like to take a seat then? Since I may know who you're talking about." Justin waved his hand over to a chair on the other side of the table.

Luna put on a small smile and nodded at his hospitality. Her covered hooves made their noises as he strolled right over to the chair and climbing into it. She merely watched as the human before covered the jar as he whistled a strange tune. Four tones that altered between high, low, and even volume.

A small brown filly slowly came walking out of the shadows with her ears back and looking at the human with a worried look. Once the filly was in arm's length of the creature, she was quickly scooped up onto his lap and nestled into his arms. Luna merely watched as the filly let out a relaxed sigh and closed her eyes.

"Is she yours?" Luna asked as she looked up at him.

"Huh?" Justin looked to the princess then looked down to Fudge. "Oh, Fudge? Well.. not biologically, but I treat her as if she was mine anyway."

"So, she is yours then?" Luna asked as her hooves were placed on the table, one over the other.

Justin looked down and nodded with a smile. "Yeah, I guess she is." He gave fudge a light stroke of the mane and looked back to the Princess.

"So.." Luna started, only for the human to pick up.

"Justin."

"Justin.. how have you been sleeping lately?" Luna curiously asked.

"Just fine actually, tonight's just a little harder." Justin replied with a grin.

"Is something on your mind?"

"Eh, just something's been bugging at me for a while and I think I may just do something about it tomorrow." Justin looked to Fudge.

"We see... we like to thank you for letting us stay for a bit but we have to go now. Royal duties need to be attended to." Luna stated as she got up.

"Awwww.. wish you could stay longer, but i understand." Justin got up also, having the filly gently held to his chest with one arm. "Oh, and Luna..."

"Yes?"

"Feel free to stop by my ice cream shoppe here in town sometime." Justin said with a grin.

Luna shyly smiled now and started to fly away, waving to the human as she did. Justin waved back with a smaller smile now before heading back inside. He headed off to one of the bed rooms and tucked Fudge in before he found his way to the living room. Cracking his knuckles and grinned, gathering up items and beginning to work.

UNICORNS! MAGIC! SLEEP!

The sunrise came to signal that morning finally was upon the land and the front door handle started jiggling before it finally was opened. In came a grey pegasus mare with a small brown bag between her teeth and closed the door behind her. Walking off to the kitchen and almost bypassing the spectacle in the living room completely.

"Morning Derpy." A familiar voiced caused her to look in the living room and her mouth dropped open and the bag to the floor.

Sitting up against a wall with the widest smile she'd ever seen him wear was Justin, but what really caught her eye was the scale replica of Ponyville in the center of the room. Her wall eye even focused in on the models and Justin tilted his head off to the side as he looked at her, since her eyes were, well, straightened out now.

"Uhh... Derpy? What's up with your eyes?" He asked as he stood up, popping his back.

Derpy was at a loss for words, but she managed to point a hoof down at the dropped bag. "I brought... muffins.."

"Ooooo!" Justin quickly got up and walked around the diorama to Derpy, Lightly conking her on the head as he picked up the bag.

Derpy blinked a few times before her head darted in the human's direction. "How... where.. did you find the time to build this?"

"I think the better question is where I found my resources." Justin chuckled and took an inhale. "Fudge! Wake up! I'm about to start breakfast!"

There was a small thump, then the sound of somepony scrambling up to their hooves before Fudge came trotting out. Justin smiled at the sight before disappearing into the kitchen. Derpy was still in a bit of shock, but was quickly taken out of it by being yanked into the kitchen by her tail.

"So, Imma been thinking about heading over to Rarity's after work. You wanna join us?" Justin asked as he started to gather up some items around the kitchen.

"Us?" Derpy looked at the back of his head confused.

"Yeah, I have to pick Fudge up from school, so I decided that while I was out, have Rarity try the new flavor I came up with." Justin explained, flicking the stove top dial.

Derpy couldn't help but tilt her head. "What's the new flavor."

Before Justin could even get a word out, Fudge hopped up into the seat. "Triple Chocolate Chunk Fudge! It was my idea!" The filly exclaimed excitedly.

Justin just started to chuckle and nod his head at the filly's excitement. He knew several reasons why too; one was that she got to help her (he guessed now) pseudo father help with the creation of a new, two is that it was all her idea like she said, and lastly... well he didn't know so he just went along with it. Just then something came to mind.

"Say.." Justin started, turning to the fillies at the table, "..has anyone seen Vinyl lately?"

"You don't know?" Derpy asked in return. Justin just shook his head. "She's on tour again.."

"Awwww!" Justin let out a mock whine. "And she didn't take me with!?"

Derpy just looked at the human. "She left a note on your fridge... you didn't read it?"

"Pffffft! Why would I look at whatever's on my fridge?" Justin dismissed the idea, but looked over at the appliance and saw, just as pointed out, a note. "Oh..."

---Later That Day---

Justin happily made his way down the street, heading his merry way over to Ponyville's school after a slightly busy day. His lips whistled a tune that he had stuck in his head for a while now as he walked. A small box at his side that seemed to be made out of fabric. He waved and smiled to any of the citizens he passed that made eye contact with him. Usually earning a wave of the hoof or a grin back.

He eventually made it to the school just before it let out. Fudge was the first to even notice him and ran up to him. Justin knelt down to give the filly a hug, to which was interrupted a few seconds later by a mob of foals that were also excited to see him. He couldn't explain why kids liked him, for he didn't know why himself. He enjoyed it either way.

Justin couldn't help but giggle like mad as he laid against the ground with the group on top of Fudge and himself. "Alright, you lot, I'm happy to see you all too, but please get off now!"

The group of foals dispersed and sat around he human now with grins. Justin sat up and grinned back before looking to the small brown unicorn filly sitting in his lap.

"Alright kids, you ready for this little trick?" Justin opened up as he threw an open palm into view.

All the little colts and fillies looked with slightly gaping mouths and full attention. The human smirked as his other hand snaked around to his back pocket and dug into it a bit. Fudge just watched his face, eeping when his eyes snapped to her and his smirk grew into a smile. Justin looked back to the foal sitting around them as he pulled an object from his pocket.

With a sleight of hand trick (and a not-so-subtle distraction by Fudge), Justin pulled the string of a party favor. Confetti and little glitter streamers popped out of the little plastic barrel looking toy. Some of the foals foals were a bit disappointed, but the others enjoyed the impromptu trick either way and applauded Justin.

It wasn't long before both Fudge and Justin were at the door of Rarity's place of home and business, The Carousel Boutique. The walk may have been a bit lengthy, but that didn't matter to the human since the sun wasn't near setting yet. He knocked on the door as his little brown filly stood next to his leg.

The door opened and the snowy mare on the other side was met with a smiling face. "Heya Rare!"

"Oh! Hello, darling! I wasn't expecting you to arrive..." Rarity sheepishly smiled back as she then stepped aside. "Would you care to cime in and have some tea, dear?"

"Yes please and thank you." Justin ducked as he came through the door. "Is Sweetie around? I brought someone she could meet."

Rarity shook her head a bit before noticing the filly practically hugging his leg. "Uhh... no.. she left with her friends a little while ago."

Justin silently nodded his head in what little space he truly had and walked into the main room. Rarity just watched him sit down and look around the room for a short time before the filly jumped up on his lap. She continued on into the kitchen to start on the aforementioned tea she offered just moments before.

So now the two were sitting across from eachother in the room, each with their respective glass of tea. Justin swirled the cup around for a bit as he looked into the glass, as if he was in a sort of trance with a small smile.

Then he looked up at Rarity. "So, I have a question, one concerning unicorns."

Rarity just looked at the man before tilting her head just a slight bit.

"Being a unircorn who uses her magic quite a bit, can you use your magic while you sleep?"

Rarity was taken back a bit by the question, but look in his eyes said that he was serious. "Well... no. I couldn't imagine it'd be difficult for a unicorn with a higher understanding to do so, dear. Why, is something wrong?"

"Well..." Justin placed the cup down and covered Fudge's ears.

Fudge was immediately lost, but saw the unicron gasp without having to hear it. Even when her ears were allowed to hear again, she heard something that confused her even more.

"A-are you sure?" Rarity asked the human.

Justin just nodded and took the cup into grasp again and taking a sip. "Mmmhmmm..."

Libraries Do Have Adventures!

View Online

Justin was already walking at a brisk power walking pace through the streets of Ponyville. Weaving between ponies as Fudge was almost having a struggle keeping up with her human role model at this point. The only time he had ever been in this type of a rush was when he was late to open the shop that one time. Only once.

He never really knew how far Twilight's library was until now. Justin huffed and came to a halt, turning his head to look down at Fudge. He quickly scooped the filly up into his arms and bolted down the lane. His normal weaving antics were bumped up to swirling around ponies and jumping over them as if he was some sort of track athlete. Cutting his travel time down to mere minutes before he had to come to a skidding halt at the door.

Justin was slightly panting now as he set his filly down and took a moment to take in what precious breaths of air he could muster. He then straightened himself back out and knocked on the slightly discolored red door to Golden Oaks. The door opened slightly and the mare he'd been looking for popped her head out.

"What do you want?" Twilight asked, looking to the human with sheer disgust.

"I was wondering about a certain book I could possibly look at.. maybe you might have it on your shelves somewhere?" Justin fibbed with a convincing smile.

Twilight just looked at him. "What book is it?"

"I dunno recall the name," Justin scratched his head in feigned confusion, "but I remember the cover if you'd allow me to look"

Twilight just rolled her eyes and opened the door further while stepping off to the side to allow him through. Justin put on the toothy grin and ducked through the door as Fudge followed him in. The human took a few steps in and finally was able to stand up properly. The libray was only one of the few building he could actually stand n without having to be at some sort of awkward angle.

Twilight just watched him closely as he went to one of the shelves and began to look at each one. She was hoping that he would find the book quickly and leave. He continued to nonchalantly look at each book on an entire shelf. Occasional 'hmms' and 'oohs' leaving him as he looked at the titles.

"So..." Justin finally broke out, "... Heard from AJ lately?"

"Who?"

"AHA!" Justin exclaimed as he launched the book he was holding at the mare. "DAMN FAKE!"

The book hit the fake Twilight and she stumbled back a bit from the force of the book smashing against her face before falling to the floor with a dull thud. A growl and her horned flickered on, then a snarl sent the aura to a deep green. Justin crossed his arms across his chest with a determined smirk.

"So a changeling taking the place of an Element of Harmony, eh?" Justin asked as he stood there. "Fudge... would you kindly step outside for me please? I have a feeling this may result in some... indecisive actions."

Fudge gulped and nodded, leaving the human's side and slipped out the door. The Twilight copy discharged a magic blast from her horn and flew across the room. Justin reacted a second too late as the blast hit him squarely in the stomach. He hunched over with a groan. Soon straightening up again and looking at his shirt.

"Awww..." Justin whined out at the big singe mark surrounding a gaping hole. "This was my favorite shirt! Rarity made this for me, you bastard.." Then he lept at the changeling.

Fudge looked to the slightly ajar door as her ears perked up at the sound of something falling to the floor. With curiosity about her, the filly cautiously approached the door and peeked in. She saw Justin holding the changeling down with his body as he... tickled it. The changeling squirming and giggling away under the wrath of the human's fingers. It legs kicking out.

Fudge couldn't help but smile at the spectacle. "Wells, given withs my dad."

Justin stopped, holding the changeling to the ground as a mile spread across his face from the filly's last word. Dad, and implication that signaled warm fuzzies from deep within his chest. Then he looked down to the changeling, who was still in its Twilight Sparkle disguise, with a grin.

"Alrighty, Twilight Fake, you're going to tell me where the real Sparkle is or suffer the wrath of my human-y fingers." Justin demanded rather gleefully.

The changeling just looked up and spit in his face.

Justin wiped off his cheek and decked the changeling's snout, rendering the prisoner unconscious, reverting back to its original state. "Wrong answer." He turned to his daughter now and warmly smiled at her.

Fudge had no idea what just happened since she was looking at a decor piece in the room....

It didn't really take Justin to find the misplace librarian. Turned out Twilight and Spike were being cooped up downstairs in some strange pods that the man had no trouble busting them out of. Once coming to again, Twilight's brain started to go in overdrive when she realized that a certain human was back in Equestria, where she believed he shouldn't be. Blubbering one about how he sent him back and that he shouldn't be here.

"Twilie-" Justin tried to interject, but stopped when a hoof was pointed at him.

Twilight just kept blubbering on as the man sat on the floor with a huff. It wasn't until fifteen minutes passed by about her lecturing about the balance of whatever it was (Justin just zoned her out at that point), He lightly smacked her. It didn't hurt, but it was enough to make her stop and look at him.

"Look, Twilie, I came back because of things that happened. I had a hunch it wasn't you with you're sudden hostility towards me." Justin said briefly.

Twilight looked at the faintly groaning changeling on the floor and back to Justin. "Then what did you do to it?"

"Oh, that... well, I asked where you were, spat in my face, so I decked it in the shnozz!" Justin replied with a grin.

The changeling gasped awake and shot up into a human-like sitting position. Taking one quick glance at the human and squeaking as it it back itself into a corner. Twilight just curiously looked over at the changeling then to Justin. He looked back and shrugged her shoulders before hopping up to his feet.

"Well, I think more tickles are in order." Justin said with a smile and looked to the changeling.

The changeling eeped out again and tried making an escape only to be taken down again by the human. It burst into a fit of giggles as the man sat upon the bug-like pony and assaulted its sides with merciless tickleage. Twilight couldn't help it, but she smiled and shook her head at Justin's rather up-top antics.

The changeling kept trying to get a break, gasping for what air it could before freeing itself to some extent. "All right! All right! I'll talk!"

With that, Justin smiled and stopped trying to tickle the loose changeling.

"Then we shall go to Paradise City!" Justin put a hand on the table with a loud smack and stood, hitting his head off the ceiling as he proclaimed the journey.

Twilight and the changeling just looked at him in his slight awkward stance. Justin then looked to the changeling and pointed a finger in its direction.

"Would you kindly tell us where it's located?"

When Trains Get Invaded

"I can't believe you dragged me along for this..." Twilight complained as she gazed out the window.

"I can't believe this suitcase is still heavy!" Justin called out as he kept trying to hoist it up.

"Then why'd you pack so heavily?" Twilight asked, shifting her attention to the human.

"He didn't..." Derpy pointed out.

The three looked at one another before Justin finally set the on the ground in a gentle manner. Fudge stopped doodling to see what the potential fuss was about. Soon all the attention was set on the rumbling suitcase. Justin took a step back as the container started to violently shake now. Then it just stopped.

"Uh.. Is it do-SHIT" Justin was immediately taken down to the ground as the case burst open and a familiar pink pony sat on his chest ith a wide grin.

"Pinkie?!" Twilight's and Derpy's voice seemed to have merged into one, but the distinct tones were still there despite the surprise.

Pinkie said nothing and just held her hoof against Justin's nose. The human silently looked back to the party pony with an arched eyebrow. The cabin was dead silent as all eyes were on the pink party planner. Pinkie, still holding her hoof with a smile, her eyes fixated on the pair staring back. The she started to giggle as re removed her hoof.

"Uh.. Pinkie?" Justin called out.

"Yes?" Pinkie quickly replied with a grin, getting off the human.

"What was that for?" He asked, sitting up with his eyes still trained on her.

"Oh, you'll find out, silly!" Pinkie exclaimed as she climbed back into the suitcase and it snapped shut again.

Justin got to his feet again and picked up the baggage. It was light again, and confusing. He proceeded to put the case up and sit with the ponies he dragged along with him. He sat next to a self-occupied Fudge and looked over to Derpy with a smile. Then shifted his gaze over to Twilight.

"That was stranger than usual.." Twilight commented, her gaze was still on the human's suitcase.

"Yeah.. but it's Pinkie, what can we do about her?" Justin shrugged off the occurrence and noticed something out of his peripherals.

His eyes shifted to the source of movements and widened. A group of ponies were boarding he train via roof one by one. They each wore some sort of dark hat with fabric covering their mouths. Derpy was watching him and started to turn her head to follow his gaze, but was stopped by Justin's hand being placed on her hoof"

"Don't. They haven't noticed yet..." Justin then looked at Derpy as the sound of hooves went over their heads.

"What're we going to do?" Twilight just had to ask, causing the human to smile.

"I'm gonna see about getting into a Mexican Stand-off. You girls are gonna stay here." Justin grinned.

"Justin! No!" Derpy cried out and lept across the table to wrap herself around him. "Not after last time!"

"Last time..?" Twilight looked at the two in confusion.

Justin started to chuckle as he kept his beloved in his arms. "Oh Vinyl, Derpy, and myself took a little trip to Manehattan and I got nabbed by a bunch of pony pirates."

"What!?" Twilight had to do a retake but the human was already out the door with the mailmare.

Justin effortlessly hoisted Derpy to his back like some sort of pony backpack and went over into the next car. There, he saw a lone stallion wearing a poncho and a very dirty hat that'd make Rarity faint for the amount of dirt caked on it. Justin smiled as Derpy clung, the human trying to sneak upon the pony. To his slight fortunate dismay, one of the floorboards gave away to a sneak, alerting the stallion.

The stallion quickly turned around and pointed an object at the human. Justin, in turn, sticking a finger into the stallion's face with a grin. The stallion looked to the creature's hand and blinked a few times before lowering his object.

"Is that..." The stallion started.

"...A rock?" Justin finished looking at the stallion's hoof.

The stallion took a moment to look at his rock and nod a bit. Justin opened his hand an silently asked the stallion to hand over the rock, getting a patient look as the item was handed over. Justin started to examine the rock in wonder before the stallion noticed hooves hooked over and under the limbs of the creature.

"He took a closer look to see a somewhat off-center eye peek over. "Is-"

He was quickly cut off by one of Derpy's hind hooves shooting out and kicking his jaw, causing the stallion to go out like a light and collapse to the ground. Justin started to chuckle and shake his head before looking back to his love.

"Nice one, honey."

Justin and Derpy re-entered their car after about an hour or so. Derpy walking over to one of the seats and almost deflating on it with a huff. Twilight and Fudge both looked at the mare then over to Justin. The human having more bruises that the mare that went him and a stupid grin on his face as he idly stood there, giving them a single wave.

"Heya girls, didya miss me?" He asked

"What happened?" Both the librarian and filly asked in unison.

Derpy placed a hoof on the tabled and leaned up. "You don't wanna know..."

"But it sure was fun." Justin blurted out with his same warm smile.

Paradise Cheesecake

View Online

The group of four left the train station and gazed upon the city so-named 'Paradise City' in somewhat awe. Only was getting ready to blurt something, that somepony, or one, being Justin as he was suddenly getting all giddy about something. He quickly picked up his filly and started to bound down the street as he sang out something.

"TAKE ME DOWN TO THE PARADISE CITY! WHERE THE GRASS IS GREEN AND THE-" Justin was interrupted by a small cough and looked down to see Fudge looking up at him expectantly.

"What are you doing..?" She asked.

Uhm..." Justin stopped to see the many eyes gazing upon in wonder, "...Daddy's just being.. daddy.."

His name was the next thing her heard before turning to see both Derpy and Twilight with theirs, and Justin's, luggage in tow. The human chuckled a bit awkwardly. IT didn't take them long to get out of the middle of the street and onto the sidewalk where they started trekking down the sidewalk in some rather complete silence

"So..." Justin broke the silence and looked at the mares before smiling a bit to himself, "..I certainly have surrounded myself in mares, haven't I?"

Twilight just shook her head and Derpy almost let out a giggle. The four continued down the sidewalk with some ease until they came across a hotel to stay at. Justin, however, was paying attention to a building across the street. A Cafe was what got his attention, the other two didn't really pay him any mind but his filly looked up at him.

Fudge opened her mouth to say something, but was swiftly interrupted by the human's stomach making a small rumble. "Dad..."

Justin shook his head and looked down his filly in his arms, "Yes Fudge?"

"You wanna grab a bites after we check in?"

Justin turned to look at the hotel and nodded a bit, "Yeah... that sounds good." Everypony was soon busy settling in to their rooms. Twilight had requested that she got her own room so she didn't feel as though she was impeding on Derpy's and Justin's privacy. Not that it mattered since Fudge had to say with them anyway. Once they were settled, Justin gave Derpy a quick peck and let her know that he was taking the filly across the street.

"You want me to bring back anything?" Justin asked his mare.

Derpy thought for a moment and shook her head.

Justin gave her a smile and slid the room key into his pocket as Fudge followed him out, stopping next door and knocking on Twilight's door. "Twwwiiii! I'm heading out to get something to eat, you want anything?"

The door cracked open a bit and a purple eyes gazed up at him. "No thank you."

Justin gave her a smile and headed away as the door gently closed again. He scooped up Fudge when they went out the front door and carried her all the way to the other side of the street. He set her down and the duo went inside, quickly finding a window table.

Justin put in some orders for some raspberry cheesecake he saw on the way in and a cup of tea for himself, a glass of chocolate milk for Fudge since she wasn't all that hungry. The filly sat close to her human father, occupying herself with a place mat and a pen Justin gave to her. For some time, the human was drumming on the table with his fingers for a bit, stopping to look around.

He noticed two things already that put him off. One he could see plain as the day, but the other was a feeling...

"E-excuse me.." The voice of a mare pulled him from his thoughts and he looked to her. The mare had a pristine white coat with blue-green mane and tail that looked like silk. "..Do you mind if I sit here?"

Justin stared into her emerald eyes for a moment, then scooted one of the chairs out to her. "Oh no, not at all miss."

The mare gave him a shy smile and sat with them. A hostess soon came over and set down Fudge's milk, the human's order, and a glass of water. Justin was confused at the glass for a moment until a green glow encased it. Justin picked up a small fork and cut some of his cheesecake.

"Soo..." Justin opened as he put the piece on the fork. "Why're you sitting with us today Chysalis?"

The mare's eyes widened and looked to the human. "H-how.. did you-"

"I honestly don't know... I felt at least two things out of place, turns out it's ponies."

Chrysalis just stared at him in silence.

"You were bit harder to figure out... that other one is the stallion giving me a death stare from across the room.." Justin explained, the mare about to look over he shoulder. "Don't look. Might alert him."

Justin was about to take another bite of his cheesecake until a green bolt whizzed on by and took out his treat. Fudge stare in awe at the act and the human let out a discontent sigh. Instead, Justin took his cup of tea and drank it down in one go. Setting the cup back down.

"That was... a perfectly good slice... of cheesecake.." Justin complained some.

Suddenly, Changelings

View Online

The stallion had gotten closer to their table. Glaring more so at the human rather than the other two ponies that were with him. The entire establishment had gone silent and were staring right at the stallion who seemed to be near snarling at the human. Fudge started to tug a bit at Chrysalis' hoof and got here away from the table.

"That was MY slice of raspberry cheesecake too." Justin picked up the teacup and tossed it at the stallion.

The teacup bounced off the stallion's nose, which caused him to sneeze so hard that his disguise came off. Justin just raised a brow as he looked over the changeling. The changeling was dazed for a little bit before shaking its head, then taking an aggressive stance. Lowering its body a bit and stretching out its wings, screeching at the human.

"Well Fu-"

The window shattered from a bipedal mass flying through it and landing in the street. Ponies that saw the spectacle stopped and that to crowd around the seen like moths to a fire. The human rolled over with a somewhat audible groan and slowly rose to his feet. He started to dust himself off.

"Damned if I wasn't in a cartoon land, I'd be a video game character.. "Justin muttered to himself.

Just then, he and everypony else noticed a prompt box appear in front of him. Justin looked at the box before poking it, causing a message to appear. 'New items added to inventory' it read, which just confused him before disappearing. The moment, however, was short lived when a screeching changeling came out of he same window he had.

Fudge came running out, yelling for her dad as she tried approaching only to be kicked away by the changeling. She yelped out and Justin's demeanor visibly changed. His hands clenching into fists and baring gritted teeth. The changeling looked to to filly it had kicked away before looking back to its intended target.

"Noone.." Justin growled as he approached the changeling,"... lays a hoof like that on my filly."

The changeling tried to step back only to be grappled and a knee connected to its side. This fluent move took every other pony by surprise, heightened the interest of Chrysalis, and knocked the wind from the one it was used on. Justin went over to Fudge, checking to see if she was alright. He gave a sigh when he found no real harm to the filly and pulled her in close.

There was a raspy groan as the changeling used some of its strength to charge a spell in its horn. A ball soon shot out in a large arch, once reaching the apex, automatically exploding. Everypony and human watched the ball of magic go up, exploding out as if it was-

"A flare..." Justin mumbled to himself, picking Fudge up into his arms again.

The human then looked to Chrysalis and nodded to her. Changelings quickly started to fly in from every direction. The streets were filled with panic as ponies of all kinds blurred together, leaving the human to stick out like a sore thumb. Chrysalis crawled her way over to Justin and then stood with him.

The human was watching in slight awe. He had heard the account of Canterlot Invasion, but this was more like a siege. They were far more Changelings here than in Canterlot. Justin was nudged out of his daze by both Fudge and Chrysalis, causing him to look at each. Fudge looked over and pointed at the hotel, and the mad dash began.

Justin was having a hard time trying to get over and around the panicking citizens, let alone pushing aside Changelings. The Changeling gave puzzled looks as they were merely just pushed aside with ease. When the trio made it to the door, another Changeling landed and started hissing only for the door to swing open and smack its face. The door close following the human and pony, leaving a dazed changling on the sidewalk.

Justin burst into Twilight's room and inhaled. "TWI-" he then noticed she was busy reading, "Have you been reading this entire time?"

Twilight just nodded then looked over at him. "Why?"

"'Cause there's a cahngeling invasion happening.. like RIGHT NOW!" Justin pointed to the window.

Twilight just so happened to look over as a changeling smacked against the glass. This caused the alicorn to raise a brow. Both her and Justin watched in some slight confusion. Twilight turned her head and looked at the human, whom of which just shrugged at her. The human's attention turn towards somepony a short distance down the hall, more or less next door.

"We have to let Celestia know about this." Twilight commented, watching a squadron fly by.

She looked back to the door and found it closed and human not here. Next door, Derpy was kinda having a quiet freak-out, cause by Chrysalis going back to her true form. Justin, tightly holding on the pegasus mare, had his interest peaked as he looked at Chrysalis. Fudge was kind of copying the human, both analyzing the sight before them.

Chrysalis looked like, well, Chrysalis, but with a few changes. First, the obvious difference was her height, she was smaller than before. Not too small, Justin estimated maybe Luna's height. The second was something that the human noticed, her little crown-like antennae were missing. Not something noticed right off the bat, yet noticed by the human. The last detail were eyes.. mainly irises, they were faded and didn't seem to contain slits, rather just a solid mass of color.

Chrysalis looked down a bit in shame at her appearance, "I apologize if I startled the pegasus, my form isn't what it once was."

Derpy had calmed down a bit and Justin let her go to walk over to the Changeling Queen, or once was, and tightly hugged her. Chyrsalis was taken back by this, it caught her off-guard when the human got his limbs around her and tightly squeezed. Eventually, she accepted the hug, reluctant to return as something form across her face she usually feigned: A smile.
