Shining Armor a apprentice to a blacksmith, soon finds out that he must aquire the three pendants of virtue and the Master Sword. As he begins to save his home he gains help from several friends and soon he defeats the wizard and finds out there is more to his journey.

The legend of Zelda is property and trademarked by Nintendo. i take no credit for the main basis of the story. all the zelda items that are changed name wise still belong to Nintendo.
Shining Armor dreamt about him fighting this large creature as he tried to save Equesrule from the hands of a beast like creature known as Sombron. The creature had captured all the sages including Princess Cadance. He saw himself fighting hundreds of monsters getting stronger each time until he save them all
Shining Armor lay in his bed sleeping unaware of the time. As he slept he was unaware of his blacksmith master’s son rumble entering the room. Rumble saw shining in bed sleeping soundly and knew his dad would be upset if Shining didn’t get his flank over to his dad’s place.
Rumble stood next to Shining’s bed and yelled, “WAKE UP SHINING!!!!”
Shining shot upright at this yelling, “I’m up!”
Shining looked over to see rumble at his bed, and sighed glad it wasn’t his master. As he got dressed quickly, and met Rumble outside his door. The two quickly ran to the Blacksmith shop, and Shining went in. As he guessed his Blacksmithing Master Thunderlane was furious.
Thunderlane yelled at him in a stern voice, “Shining you need to get here at the crack of dawn each day, it’s almost noon now.”
Shining stared at the floor and replied, “Sorry sir.”
Thunderlane looked over at the table and saw that the guard captain forgot his sword when he left a bit ago. He guessed that the captain had been thinking about Rarity the sage from the church.
Thunderlane looked at his apprentice and said, “If you deliver that sword to the guard captain, I’ll let you being late slide.”
Shining look at him with a look of joy and replied, “Of course master thank you.”
As shining ran up to the castle he saw the gate man looking worried. As Shining walked up to the guard he noticed that the gate was closed meaning the captain wasn’t back yet. So he headed to the church and saw Rarity and Braeburn the gravedigger and groundskeeper talking.
Rarity noticed Shining and asked, “Shining is there anything I can do for you?”
Shining explained that the captain left his sword back at the blacksmith and the guards back at the castle were worried about him.
Rarity looked at the sword and shook her head before saying, “That captain is in there asking my dad if he can marry me. I’ll go get him for you.”
As she did the doors slammed and sealed shut as a scream of terror from Rarity was heard.
Braeburn tried to open the doors but nothing happened. He began to worry about what was going on in there. He knew that Rarity must be in trouble and that the guard captain was no use, without his sword.
Braeburn look at shining and said, “Shining you have to save Rarity. I know she doesn’t frighten that easy. Something must be going on, please save her”
Shining looked at Braeburn as replied, “How? I have no weapon, and the doors are sealed tight.”
Braeburn noticed the sword and said, “Use the one you have, I know it’s the captain’s but this is an emergency. I heard Rarity say about a secret entrance to the graveyard. I don’t like the idea of messing with braves but it needs to be done.”
Shining gulped and said, “Okay, I will save them”
Shining rushed off to the Graveyard and he saw a grave alone in the center. As he pushed it a set of stairs appeared. Shining nervously went down them and found he was in a large room. He climbed up a dimly lit staircase and nearly fell over a chest. When he opened it up he saw a lamp in it.
Shining smiled as the lamp lit up showing an iron door at the end of the room and hundreds of clay pots. He thought the pots may hold something useful. So he began to smash them, finding rupbits, and not much else. As he opened the door, he saw he was in a damp room. As he moved through the area, he began seeing rats as large as house cats. He began to kill them as they go close, knowing that they could really hurt him. On a ledge he saw a key and guessed it was to open the door here. He climbed up some stairs and grabbed the key and headed for the locked door.
After he opened it he saw the room was well lit but had an iron door and two levers. He pull the one on the left and the door opened, as he went up the stair behind it he was in the back room of the church, after he entered the main area he saw an earth stallion turn Rarity into a painting.
As the stallion began to leave he stepped in his way sword drawn and saw the captain was much like Rarity on he was on the wall, and she was in a frame. Shining knew he might suffer the captain’s fate but he stayed firm in his spot.
“Move you little squirt, you are such a waste of color and lines.” The man said as he got closer to him.
Shining ran at him only to hit the wall as the man had turned into a painting. As shining lay there unconscious the man left, knocking him aside. Little did he know that he and this man would meet again.
Shining woke up in his bed but as he did he jumped back, when he saw a figure next to his bed. Shining was terrified yet confused.
The figure spoke, “Hey there, my name’s Unique, I found you blacked out in the middle of the road and I brought you here to this abandoned house.”
Shining relied less scared now, “Um this is my house, and thanks for the help.”
Unique gasped and said, “Oh, sorry, I thought this house was abandoned. Hey mind telling me why you were in the middle of the road.”
Shining explained what happened to him back at the church, and Unique was terrified by the thought of that stallion. As Shining finished he realized that the castle must be informed about this. As he got to his feet and left he thanked Unique and told him he could stay as long as he needed to. As Shining exited the house Unique handed he a bracelet as a bit of payment for staying.
As he entered the gates he rushed up to the door officers and told them what happened. The laughed it off figuring shining was just pulling a prank, like all colts his age did.
A mare walked out asking, "What was the noise about?"
The guard told her what Shining said , and she told them to let him pass.
The one guard said as he let him pass, “As you wish Lady Luna.”
As they entered the main are shining was told to wait while she went to inform the princess. Shining looked at the murals of the past hero, and he looked a lot like him. As he finished reading the plaques on them. He was told to go see the princess. Shining entered the throne room and blushed as he saw the beauty of her majesty Princess Cadance ruler of Equesrule.
Cadance looked him over seeing he looked like the past hero before saying, ”Lady Luna tells me that you saw a stallion turn Rarity a sage into a painting and walk off with her. I have been dreaming of a disaster that will fall on our land. Have you had the same dream?
Shining nodded and ash Cadance looked at him she pulled off a pendent she was wearing and told him to go see the elder of Kakony Village. Shining knew he would have to save Equerule and the other sages but he didn’t know how.
Shining armor left the Castle and headed to the village. Upon arrival he headed to the elder Star Swirl’s cottage on the top of the hill. When he enter his cottage he saw him sleeping standing up muttering things about what’s happening, as he woke him up. He told him about what’s happening.
Star Swirl was shocked at what was happening, and said, “Shining you need to find the pendants of virtue and claim the Master Sword”
Shining nodded and asked, “Where to first?”
Star Swirl told him, “You need to recuse my grandson he is a sage, like rarity. I sent him to investigate a stallion over there, but I fear I may have put him in danger.”
Shining took a deep breath and said, “I’ll go save him as soon as I stock up get a shield and get there. I promise you.”
Star Swirl nodded and said, “Okay, please know this Equesrule’s fate lies in your hands.”
Shining walked out and purchased a shield, and a bottle. He then went to several of his friend’s houses. He was given one thing a butterfly net. He then headed for the Eastern palace and as he entered the old gates he saw two orbs up high, and a sign nearby told him to go check out the house near the castle for items.
As Shining entered his house he saw unique turned it into a shop. As he saw the empty racks he saw on item a bow. Unique noticed him and hugged his new friend.
“Hey Mr. Hero, what are you doing here?” Unique asked.
“I need something to enter the Eastern Palace, this bow might work, how much for it?”
Unique looked at him, “it’s not currently for sale, but you can rent it for ten rupbits.”
Shining paid the amount and headed for the palace, after nailing the orbs the gates opened. Hmm interesting it seems the bow creates arrows interesting. Shining saw a figure up near the door, and ran up to him, it was Caramel, Star Swirl’s grandson.
Caramel saw Shining and asked, “What are you doing all the way out here?”
Shining explained his purpose and as he finished, Caramel laughed it off and headed inside. Shining sighed knowing that Caramel was always a bit bullheaded and never took advice well. So with a deep breath shining entered the palace.
