“Hey, Paper Lily. Are you here?” Tinted Dawn said into a room full of origami.
“Yea, I’m here,” A white mare called out. “Watcha need dawn?”
Dawn stepped into the room looking at all the origami.
“I actually don’t know quite yet. Any ideas on what to give to somepony special?” Dawn asked as she looked at a chain of paper cranes.
“Oh, look who has a coltfriend,” the mare teased.
“Paper Lily, just tell me an idea,” Dawn said rolling her eyes.
“Well what is he like? No handsome etc. That doesn’t help me” Paper said
“He is a unicorn, black coat, deep blue mane and tail with turquoise highlights, Oh and peacock green eyes,” dawn said walking up to the white mare
“You are dating a unicorn. Don’t you think that’s strange for a Pegasus like you?” paper giggled
“Just throw an idea at me.” Dawn said blushing
Paper threw a stack of origami paper at dawn, exploding on contact
They both laughed as they cleaned up the paper.
‘Wow, she must really like him if she came to me for a gift, I should do an oceanic bouquet of lilies’ Paper thought
“Well I wanted do a bunch of flowers; but unfortunately both my hoofs and wings wont fold the paper correctly, and I have gone through nearly 200 sheets of paper” Dawn said grabbing her crude lily from her wing, showing paper.
“I can see why you came to me,” Paper said inspecting the crude flower.
‘It’s like she read my mind, how did she know that I would make flowers?’ Paper thought.
“Hmm, I can do an oceanic theme of lilies for you, with the occasional black one.”
“Sweet, that sounds perfect!” dawn exclaimed doing a flip in the air
“When will you be able to start?” dawn asked
“Right now, I just finished a chain of cranes” Paper said.
“And how many bits will it be?” dawn asked taking a small bag of bits out.
‘Hmm, about 200 flowers, 2 weeks min.’ Lily thought “how about 25? It will take about 2 weeks, minimum.”
“You sure, I know you do lots of them, plus all the work; you sure you don’t need more?” Dawn said forking over 25 bits
“Nah 25 pays for the paper used and the time used.” Paper said drawing nonsense in the air with her hoof, as dawn exited the store
“Great, see you in a few weeks Dawn!” Lily said waving as Dawn flew out the door.
“Let’s begin” Paper said levitating a large stack of blues and a small stack of black, Before rushing into the back room to begin the work of a few weeks…
“Hey Photo, What brings you to Oat-agami?” paper said to Unknown Photo; who at the moment was looking around frantically for something or Somepony.
“Ah Paper Lily, I need something for a beautiful mare stat!” He said running up to the startled mare
“And who might be this mare?” paper said eyeing him up
‘Oh my’ she thought ‘black coat, blue and turquoise mane… oh no!’ she quickly hid the bouquet she was making for dawn.
“You know Tinted Dawn right? Anyway she said one of her Friends had an origami shop so I wound up here.” He said still looking around franticly.
“Yes I know her, but…” she was quickly interrupted “Great now can you please make me a bouquet of different greys and a little bit of sunrise yellow, oh and here,” He tossed 30 bits on the counter
“Umm…” Paper was still trying to decipher the hyperactive unicorn’s words.
“Thanks again Paper Lily” Photo yelled as he ran out the door. “Bye!”
“Oh boy… how is this going work” Paper said face-hoofing as she got another stack of greys and sunset yellow.
“Well I will be up all night, I will close early today so I can get dawn’s bouquet done, than I can get Photo’s started as well.”
She then flipped off the open sign and locked the door.
“Let’s get our origami on!” she trotted into the back room everything she needed following her in turquoise aura...
“One more,” Paper Lily exclaimed placing the last flower in photo’s bouquet.
“They will both love these, but how to get them to each other without the other one noticing?” she said as a small rainbow maned colt entered the store.
“Hey rainbow,” She called out waving as the colt flew to the counter.
“Hey Lily, how’s the shop? It was closed for a few days, why was it closed?” the colt said one Question after another
“Oh yea, Photo sent me to get his bouquet for mom. But more importantly, have you seen mom around?”
“What do you mean? She was here a few weeks ago.” Paper said
“She hasn’t come home for a few days now; photo and I are getting worried. He said she might be at her friend’s house,”
“So I went to all of her friends’ houses even in clouds-dale. But still no sign of her. You’re the last stop. So please can you tell me anything you might know about her disappearance?” He asked.
“Sorry bud, I don’t know anything. I’m sorry; and she also needs to pick something up from me. But seeing this little mess; I will deliver it for her…” Paper said grabbing the two bouquets handing one to Rainbow Dawn and holding the other one in her magical aura.
“Hey Photo I’m home with your bouquet for mom.” Rainbow Dawn said into a near empty house.
“Great,” Photo said from his room. “Just getting ready for our 5 Year anniversary, and Hello Lily.”
“Hi Photo; I just wanted to know if you needed anything to help with Dawn’s disappearance. Other than this bouquet,” She pulled out the bouquet that Dawn ordered.
“What do you mean? I never ordered two bouquets.” Photo said puzzled
“Dawn ordered it for you. She was going to pick it up today but because she hasn't been found; I thought I should bring it to you as a gift.”
“I’m speechless, this is beautiful…” He said taking the other bouquet in his Green aura.
“Well if you want I can organize a search team for her.”
“Please, I mean yes that would be wonderful but only for a week or so…” he said looking at his ensemble.
“I nearly forgot she disappeared so I guess I won’t need this,” He muttered taking of the tie.
“I'll go find Crystal quill, she will get everypony ready,” Paper said walking out the door.
“Come on Rainbow, I and you have some supplies and posters to get.” Photo said as they walked (Or Flew) out the door.
