Chapter 1 : The Beginning (Edited)

View Online

A young man in his early twenties, chocolate brown hair and wearing a pair of khaki pants and black leather jacket with a diving eagle in the back while carrying an over the shoulder bag and a normal rucksack shouted at the Salamance in the middle of a field as an opposing male trainer Chesnaught charged with a Wooden Hammer in tow.

“NOW, MEGA EVOLVE!”He held out his mega ring and touching it with his left hand thumb. The Salamencite Sally held began to glow white alongside herself. Her appearance began to gradually change. It didn’t take long for the glow to fade away, revealing her mega evolution form.

Her wings meld together into a single huge, crescent-shaped wing, while the rest of its body looks more streamlined. Sally tail become shorter, and her underside markings grow in size to allow Sally to tuck in its front legs. Her head spines grow longer, and the ones directly on the side of her head turn inwards and reach its mouth. The underside of its mouth turns red, matching the markings on her neck.

In this state, the young man knew that Sally would experience a dramatic increase in speed and strength. He grinned at the change of the battle tide. The other trainer jaw dropped, not knowing that a Salamence could mega evolve as well.

“SALLY! DODGE AND ‘FLY’ UP HIGH!”The man shouted.

“Sal!”The Salamance known as Sally dodged by flying to the side, appearing as if Sally disappeared for a moment, causing Chesnaught Wooden Hammer to entirely miss and hitting the ground before flying up high with incredible speed.

The trainer just stared at the sky. “Chesnaught, prepare to dodge!”The other trainer shouted at his Chesnaught and it readied itself to dodge from any incoming projectile.

The Salamance now are now all the way to the sky. The ’s trainer squinted his eyes in order to track it, it worked if only a little. His day are about to get a lot worse when the young man just observed quietly. As soon as he sees Sally, he smirked at his latest scheme toward the other trainer.

“TIME FOR THE FINISHING BLOW! GIGA IMPACT!”The young man yelled at the top of his lungs. The other trainer’s eyes widened, once he realized what it meant.

If the Giga Impact executed that high up, the young man intent to ram the other’s trainer with maximum velocity with the help of gravity too to boot. The dramatic increase of Sally’s speed didn’t help matters either. That could end up Knocking Out even a hardy Snorlax with as soon as it made contact.

The opposing trainer didn’t even know of Aerilste, the ability of Mega Salamence. Changing Normal-type into Flying-type. Giga Impact will be highly effective against Chesnaught, due to it being a dual Grass and Fighting-type

The Salamence stopped in the blue skies for a moment before angling herself and shooting down like a bird discovering it’s prey. Covered with streaks all around the body, she prepared to give the most hurt to her trainer’s enemy.

“CHESNAUGHT! DODGE!”But it was too late, the streak that is Sally impacted.

This in turn, caused a massive explosion alone that let dust fly everywhere.”Chesnaught?”The trainer on the other side muttered.

It didn’t take long for the dust to settle, causing the young trainer grin to almost split his face.“NICE JOB, SALLY! ANOTHER VICTORY FOR US!”Her trainer shouted, Sally couldn’t agree more. The Chesnaught had swirly eyes with Sally standing triumphantly over it.

Not many knew that Salamence could mega evolve which at times put Eric at an advantage because Kalos were rather isolated from Hoenn. Ever since hearing from a certain source in the International Police about those cases popping up, Eric resolved to get one himself for Sally. Once Eric set his eyes on something like an angry Galvantula sticking to the ceiling, there’s no turning back which is why he went all the way to Hoenn just to get a stone using his savings from trainer battles and those that he saved when he’s a kid.

After receiving it, he went to Kalos in order to have the advantage of surprise. The surprise that the trainers there didn’t know that Salamence could and can mega evolve.

First rule of trainers, always try to take your opponent by surprise and don’t let them catch your intention.

They bounded for each other while the other trainer recalled his Chesnaught, still feeling the adrenaline after mega evolving. Finally, climaxing in their signature high five in mid-air using both hands and paws. “Sal, sala, la, mence.”Sally said cheerfully which escaped the knowledge of her trainer.

“Don’t know what it is you’re saying, but this calls for a picnic. It’s been a two months since we had one.”The young man said as he hugged the Salamance’s neck, feeling a little embarrassed for his cheesy reason for getting a picnic.

‘I said, can I get one of those poképuff, Eric?’ She said internally with a blush at the display of affection. Either way, that worked. she still can’t believe he forgot about our annual picnic every month. She frowned when she couldn’t convey that she wanted to try out some poképuff found in Kalos.

Sally the Salamence internally shook her head on how she wished her trainer and best could understand her. She tried to convey her messages many times, only for it to fall short on her trainer, sometimes she even thinks he’s quite dense despite being an intelligent trainer.

Despite that, she still loves her trainer. As the pokémon who’d known Eric for much longer than any of her teammates, it is her responsibility to always be by his side as the strongest of his team. Sally couldn’t help but smile back at Eric as he released the hug while patting her on the head. This caused her to nuzzle him like a household cat would.

“Whoa, Sally, no need to nuzzle me.” This in turn, caused Eric to blush as well. Sally started to glow white once more, a few seconds later, Sally de-evolved back to her normal Salamence form.

“Impressive you two,”They were surprised to see the male voice that belongs to the trainer that they just defeated. “Never before have seen such display of combination attacks. You really ought to become a coordinator.”

Eric rubbed his neck nervously, it wasn’t often that he got praised like that. Most of the time, they’d just grumbled or give a simple ‘congratulations’. “Ah, it was nothing. Besides, I have no interest in those contest.”

The trainer smiled. “Very well, then I shall give you some of my money, then.” The male trainer reached into his pocket, taking out a wallet. After pulling out some paper money, he gave it to Eric.”1254 pokédollar to be precise.”

Eric took it into his palm, staring at it before putting it in the trainer’s palm again.”You know, you don’t have to give this amount of money to me. Victory is already enough. Besides, I already got a lot of money already.”

“Please,”The trainer stared at the money before putting back on Eric’s palm.”Just consider it a personal gift.”

Eric knew it was tradition for defeated trainers to give a random amount of money of their liking to trainer for as a sign of respect for the one that defeated them. He was surprised at first a long time ago, but he just shrugged this time.”Okay, thanks again.”

“It’s no problem, I hope you best of luck.”The trainer waved before leaving. In turn Eric also waved before turning to face his faithful Salamance.

“Now I think I need to give you a bath before having a picnic and returning you to your pokeball!”Eric said all too cheerfully.

“Salamence!”Sally cried out suddenly while giving Eric a death glare. ‘You wouldn’t dare!’

“C’mon, it’s not that bad, besides. I just Mega Evolved you with that keystone for you from this old man whoever he is in Shalour City which I rarely did unless necessary. I even went through the trouble of going to Hoenn to get one Salamencite. At least he was nice enough to give me one after battling Korrina, but that’s beside the point. All that running around is causing you to sweat. I’ll let you have some extra special pokéblocks again if you take a bath,” Eric said slyly with a sing-song tone. Hoping she would take the bait, even if it’s a cheesy one

“Sal, sala, la, mence!” ; ‘I’m an adult pokemon for goodness sake. You can’t bathe me! I can bathe myself just fine.’

“Nope, whatever it is you’re saying. I’m not gonna take no for an answer,” Eric cheerfully said as he pushed his unwilling Salamance toward somewhere.”Besides I’m bored I don’t get to bath you again all that often. With all the pokéblocks I made which is a lot, I’ll give you the special ones”

“Salamence.”Sally said reluctantly, causing her ears to drop as she stopped struggling when her trainer pushed her, leaving small trench behind her. Maybe it wasn't too bad, for her at least. She'll get some delicious pokéblocks and poffins for the first time after this.

This was beginning to be a truly bad day for Sally the Salamance. She thought that this day was going to be a good one, what with the battle the boiled her blood and achieving victory. As much as she loves her trainer Eric as well as his best friend, sometimes she hated him for letting her go through with this.

She’s now currently being bathed in one of the streams of Kalos Route 15, in itself it’s also a popular hangout. Of course, because of that, many people looked bewildered when they’re passing by, witnessing a mighty, sometimes aggressive and uncooperative Salamance being.....bathed. Knowing Eric’s personality, of course he ignored all of them. She wondered how can he be so dense and ignorant at times.

“You know, you suddenly gone all quiet there Sally.”Eric said as he run the soap up and down her back.”I thought you would be excited for the imminent pokéblocks, seeing as those things are usually your favourite things, Sally.”

“Sal, sal, salamence.”She said dryly. ‘It would be if you didn’t bath me.’ This is the second time in Kalos you bathed me. She closed her eyes with one paw, unable to look with any sense of dignity. I’m so embarrassed.

First time, Sally actually bathed because Eric blackmailed her into submission because he slyly told her that he’ll tell every teammate of her very embarrassing ‘moment’ that day which of course caused her to immediately surrender. Although she didn’t have to like it, she actually secretly enjoyed the back rub her trainer gave her.

It would be enjoyable, if not for the fact that some very obvious laughter as her fellow teammate watched getting a bath treatment by her own trainer and best friend which caused her to be embarrassed every time he decided to bathe her. She glared at the Archeops just beside the pond whom Eric had released earlier just for the reason he could let him out. It was because he hadn’t let said Archeops out in a long time.

Of course, Eric wouldn’t hear any laughter, it would just appear as Pokéspeak to him. To her, it’s utterly infuriating.

How much she wanted to dunk his head into the water right now. That would have been quite painful seeing as Archeops is part Rock-type.

“Shut up, Larry,”Sally growled.”Before I decided to go over there and dunk your head in.”

Larry the Archeops decided that it’s wise to clamp his mouth shut as the irate Salamence is fully capable of carrying out the threat. He couldn’t help, but still having some muffled laughter in his mouth. While a Snorlax is resting or more like ‘Snoring’ by the looks of it beside the mischievous Archeops. Who’ve been let out for the same reason.

“Awww, c’mon, you’re no fun, Sally.”Larry said with muffled voice.”I thought I told you to relax and let Eric take care of the molesting for you.”

Sally at that time decided that it would be fun later to dunk the Archeops thin head into the water.”HE.IS.NOT.MOLESTING.ME!”Sally shouted while making sure each word is emphasized.

Eric covered his ears at the shout.”Hey, don’t go screaming, Sally. You know that I’m right behind you, right?”

“Sal.” ; ‘Sorry.’

“Awww, look at that, Sally’s gone soft on us.”Larry continued while holding an infuriating grin that could probably drive someone crazy.”I thought you’re supposed to be the fearless

“Larry, so help me, that if you don’t shut up right now, I swear to whatever god out there,”Sally pointed at the grinning Archeops.”I’m going to dunk you in a water, tie you up, carry you into the atmosphere, teach you how to fly without wings, and force feed you a weed so much that you’ll vomit your picnic food on the grass.”

Sally knew that Archeops is a prehistoric predator pokemon, of course, she concluded that they would eat meat. Shoving a weed into the mouth of a sapient carnivore bird is not exactly pleasant if you can’t digest it which caused Larry to actually back off a little.

“Okay, okay, no need to go over there. Geez, I just messing with you woman.”Larry muttered as he sulked away.”Sometimes, I wonder why she can’t just relax.”

Of course, knowing Sally, she heard that last part.“I swear that bird sometimes pisses me off.”Sally muttered to herself as she felt her back rubbed.”But I probably wouldn’t traded him for anyone else.”

“Almost done there, Sally. After this, we’ll have our celebration picnic with everyone.”Eric said as he moved toward her front and started rubbing her legs.”Wouldn’t that be amazing?”

“Salamence!”Sally said. Yeah, Eric! That would have been....oh yeah, right there.

Sally enjoyed as he rubbed her paws and gapping between claws with those delicate fingers that only humans and some pokemons have. This is the part where she actually enjoyed the bathing Eric gave.

Unfortunately, this caused Sally to have some very ...... ‘naughty’ thoughts about Eric. About where she could get him alone and.....and she shook her head to get rid of any of those thoughts.

Bad Sally, bad girl. Sally almost tried to dunk her head just to get rid of those thoughts, she resisted that urge.

Besides she didn’t want to get Eric getting on the wrong side of the law just because she secretly have a crush on him. She knew full well about the consequences of Poképhilia. Sally decided to remain as friends as a sign of loyalty to him. What she heard is that there are one known case of Poképhilia that’s been going on for a long time, Sally didn’t know the culprit, but just catch the name Gene or someone else.

“Alright done!”He stepped back to witness his handiwork, suffice to say that he’s satisfied at Sally’s cleaner state.”Well, what do you think, Sally?”

“Sal?” ; ‘What?’ She stared at her paws and gapping between claws, surprised to find them quite clean. She checked her entire body, wings, belly, back and all, feeling that she’s a bit cleaner than before after she got dust all over herself during that Giga Impact.
The Salamence smiled, Eric did have a knack when it comes to bathing someone, even if that someone is unofficial first pokemon and long time friend. Sally felt more at ease because of that.

“So....”Eric walked over and patted his loyal Salamance in the head.”What do you say about that picnic, huh, Sally?”

“Salamence!”Sally answered happily. ‘I would love to. Knowing how your cooking taste.’

Eric nodded.”Let’s call out the other teammates then.”He pulled out three other pokeballs, expanding them before throwing all of them into the air.

The picnic had gone quite well, considering that Eric had done so with his teammates repeatedly for a long time anyway. He already made some pokéblocks and poffins and shared them with his team who all sitting all around him.

Sally the Salamence, of course sat beside him. Larry the Archeops perched on the the Snorlax’s head, both happily munching on their pokeblocks, except that the Snorlax is munching on a load of poffins Eric had prepared along with some pokéblocks. Meanwhile, by some unknown means, a Reuniclus is also....munching on the pokéblock with somehow got inside the bubble thing before being munched on?

“Whoa, easy there, Ricky.”Eric said to the Snorlax in an attempt to make sure he didn’t munch all that food into his black hole of a stomach.”Leave some for others.”

“Reu, Reuniclus!” ; ‘Speak for yourself! That fatso is biting more than he can chew.’ A Reuniclus exclaimed.

“Syl, ve, ve, sylve!” ; ‘Calm down, maybe he’ll leave some for us.....maybe.’ A sylveon spoke calmly in order to defuse the situation.

“Reuniclu, clus!” ; 'Easy for you to say, Silas, you weren’t here when he chomped the food down with one bite.' Silas the Sylveon frowned, he indeed the newest addition to the team so he didn’t know what happened.

“Sylveon, syl, sylve!” ; ‘I get it, Will. Please, let’s just defuse the situation calmly?’

“Reuniclus!” ; ‘Go right ahead!’ Will the Reuniclus motioned one bubbly arm toward the fat Snorlax.

Silas is more than willing anyway, so he stepped up to Ricky.”Hey, Ricky, can you spare us some pokeblocks. We’re also hungry here.”

Silas didn’t know if the Snorlax even heard him or not, so he decided to continued prodding him with his rather fleshy ribbons.”Hey, Ricky, I’m talking to you.”

“Whazat?”Ricky finally noticed after the latest prodding on his head and saying it while munching on pokeblocks.

“I said, you already ate enough, please spare us some of those pokeblocks and poffins.”Silas continued.”Everyone else is also hungry, including Eric.”The aforementioned trainer just sat quietly while eating his pokeblocks while the Sylveon gestured to everyone else.

Sadly, Ricky only brushed her off.”I’m still hungry.”And so, he continued to devastate the supply of hard-made pokeblocks.

“But we-“Silas tried to argue before being cut off.

“Just leave it be, Silas.”A rather regal-looking Serperior slithered up to them.”It’s helpless anyway to get Ricky to quit eating.”

Silas sighed.”Sometimes, I wonder, how big that stomach of his can get.”

The Serperior slithered while patting the frowning Sylveon on the head with a whip.”You’ll get used to his company later. We all did.”

Silas pointed a paw accusingly.”That’s exactly what I meant. I’m still getting used to here, Helen.”

Helen the Serperior nodded.”You’ll just have to get used to it, Silas. It comes with the package.”Helen smiled with those.”Trust me, you’ll like him in time.”

Silas sighed again, louder this time.”Fine, sometimes I wonder why I’m the only sane one here?”The Sylveon grumbled to himself.

Eric just watched his pokémon speaking with each other, now understanding after letting Will the Reuniclus out.“At least now I can understand them with Will’s help.”Eric sighed internally while shaking his head.”Wish I could understand pokemon speech without telepathy or something.”He muttered.

Sally, of course, also heard that.”Sal, la, salamance!” ; ‘That’s what I wanted to know for a long time. Besides, I want that special pokéblocks you mentioned.’

“Don’t worry, Sally!”Eric said, actually knowing what she had actually said earlier.”You’ll have it in no time.”

Before either Eric or Sally could continue their conversation, all of the ones present in the picnic suddenly got felt very tired and drowsy, right as a rather ethereal voice spoke in a soothing tone in all of their minds. And it only says a sentence before their worlds turn upside down.

“Rest now my children, for when you awake, a whole new world shall be your home!”

And rest they did. Each one of them dropping down onto their backs. Not knowing of the new chapters of events about to unfold.

“Owwww, my head. Did Larry accidentally smacked my head with Thrash or something?”Eric groaned out, rubbing his head.

What he didn’t notice in time, was that he’s somehow hanging upside down from a tree.....and the act of rubbing his head unknowingly upset his balance.

He fell right on his head, somehow remaining rigid like that of a pole, even his neck remained riggid. Eventually, he fell sideways with a little bump.

“Owww.....worst wake-up call ever.”Eric rubbed his head, only just now noticing the what he’s rubbing his head with. It was a head.....one of the head of a Hydreigon no less.

Nevertheless, it’s enough to jolt Eric out of his groggyness.”Huh?”He shaked it, it felt like his own. He tried moving it’s mouth, the mouth did open up a little.”.....how?”

The young trainer noticed that he still wore his diving eagle patterned leather jacket on the back, but that’s beside the point when he noticed that his other arms is like that as well, a head on the end. He tried to fell his legs, only to feel nothing. He look down, to see it look like the stump of that a normal Hydreigon.

This leads to one conclusion in his mind, he must be dreaming.“So....I’m a Hydreigon now? Yeah, very funny Will, did you screw with my mind or gave me a dream or something?”He realized that dream like things are usually Cresselia or Darkrai’s realm, so he crossed that out because he didn’t have them on the team nor would he even attempt to capture them.

Eric figured that he must be dreaming something weird. So he tried to make all of it logical by pinching his cheek.”Okay, time to wake up, Eric.”He pinched his cheek, causing him to cry out in pain.

Unexpectedly, that hurt a lot more than he think it should be.“Owww, that hurts.”In an attempt to pinch his own cheek, instead the head bite his cheek instead. Fortunately, it was nothing worthwhile and he realized something.....he wasn’t dreaming.”......okay, so.....I wasn’t dreaming.”

Eric was always a cheerful trainer, saying a lot of cheerful things with boundless enthusiasm. The only times he kept himself calm and composed is when he is about or during the middle of a pokémon battle. Other than that, he’s still as dense as an Aggron’s steel body. He always tried to make sense of a situation with a logical reasoning.

It’s still a surprise to him when his brain fail to comprehend the severity of the situation. Nevertheless, he tried to make sense of it or none at all. So, he does the best thing he could do in this situation.

“Okay, I think it’s time for me to panic!”Eric said to no one in particular in this forest. More to himself and panic he did.

It was supposed to be a cheery day for the fauna alike in this forest, nothing seems to be weird or out of the ordinary. Many of them perched on the branches of the trees, seeking food, creating a ness, or taking care of their family.

Nothing wrong there, they flew around, landing on some branches, etc. The birds smiled, knowing nothing is probably nothing going ot happen today. However, they just jinxed it.

“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!”The noise of someone screaming so loud, so loud in fact that it blasted the perched bird and some branches of the trees.

Just another day in Equestria and it’s brand of weirdness. That weirdness is, however, is about to reach global scale this time for Equus.

“No, no, no, no, no, no,no!”The former human Hydreigon paced around while gritting his teeth.”What do I do? What do I do? How in the freaking hell am I a Hydreigon?”

Oh Arceus, what the hell did I do wrong? I swear,if there’s anything I did. I request repentance.....or something like that.

“What the hell am I suppose to do in this situation?”He said more to himself in an effort to convince that this isn’t real.

In his fit of panic earlier, he screamed, unknowingly unleashed an ultra-powerful Hyper Voice. Luckily, he screamed to the sky, so the voice only blasted everything around him, actually bending over some trees.

Other than that, we have a very panicky Hydreigon who’s rapid pacing would probably made a trench in the ground if he weren’t floating off the ground.

Knowing that he’s hyperventilating, he tried to do the breathing trick to calm himself before a battle begin.”Okay, okay, take a deep breath and calm down, Eric.” Then, let’s see if I can make sense of this.

Second rule as a trainer, one must always keep a calm and composed attitude before and during battles. If not, you will not be able to quickly make improvise during a split-second decision during dire situations.

So he took deep breaths, just like he did before he battles another trainer so he would remain calm and composed. After several seconds of deep breaths later, he began pacing normally with one of his arm head to his chin. Eric still not noticing that he’s floating off the ground using his six wings. He tried to think of anything logical to explain this.

He tried to call out to his first pokémon.“SALLY!”He called out to his first and strongest pokémon. No response after a while, he got worried. Normally Sally would always the first to response to his calls.

“HELEN!”Eric tried calling out to his Serperior, no such luck either.

“LARRY?”He began to panic again.”RICKY.....WILL.......SILAS?”

His arms fell beside him.“Anyone?”At this point he’s hyperventilating softly, not enough for anyone else to hear. He took deep breaths to calm himself down again.

He tried to remain cheerful, it was as hard as a stubborn Snorlax, however.“Well at least, I’m still a guy.”His body slumped along with his arms, sweatdropping. Knowing from my voice that I’m still a guy doesn’t help anything at all.

“Oh, I wish everyone was here.”His body slumped even more when the gloomy atmosphere stretched around him.

Eric suddenly perked up again.Wait, I can’t spend my time moping around here. I gotta find a landmark or something. Find some human or some pokémon. They’ll probably know something about my team. He made a mental note to mention anything that he’s a former human. He thought they probably think that he’s crazy or gone through experiments by some insane Teams.

“Time to head out then.”He tried to remain optimistic by remaining cheerful, but inside he’s scared that he’ll remain like this forever.”This is probably my worst day as a trainer.....ever!”He began floating away.

Normally, Eric is known for his denseness. His pokémon recognized his intelligence when developing strategy, but on other matters, he’s quite dense. So much that the fact, he still not even noticing that he’s floating instead of walking for the last ten minutes. He also noticed that some of the trees were dead as he floated through the forest.

He just remained quiet, not wanting to add any further complications on his pokémon situation as it is. He tried to remain logical that this is probably some messed up experiment were performed on him without him even knowing in the first place.

This is so weird, having heads for hands. Mouth instead of fingers, with sharp fangs to boot. He examined the heads as he walked. Knowing that he controlled the heads, when he at first thought that the heads were of independent minds from the central heads. Gotta admit, this looks cool.

He saw animals around him seems to be scurrying away from something, some bird flew past him while also trying to keep their distance from the intimidating-looking Hydreigon. To him, they look like more new unidentified pokémon species.

“They’re running away from something?” What could that be, then? “Guess it’s time to find out.”

He trudged through the trees and the occassional bushes, nothing more. Strange that his new pokémon body allowed him to maneuver with ease through the thick forest. Eric saw more critters running away from something, it confirmed that there are something dangerous.

Of course, Eric is not one to be deterred by such things. He had already seen a dangerous amount of things in his life after meeting Sally.

Speaking of Sally, he thought that he saw a flash of blue and red. “Blue and red....?That’s Sally’s scale and wing color!”He smiled before trudging through the dense of tall trees with more enthusiasm.

The more he floated, which he still doesn’t notice, the more he saw more colores of blue and red with white underbelly. Now he understood why the critters ran away, they probably thought this is a giant winged salamander’s territory or something like that. Hence why they didn’t want to upset her when they woke up.

Eric is intelligent, but dense on certain things. Such as when he approached Sally through the small clearing and witnessing her after his predicament on certain things. He thought that she’s sleeping at the time.

“SA......lly?”Eric tried to scream her name, only to find probably one of the most adorable things he saw about his Salamence.

Sally, his first unofficial pokémon, and his strongest is probably the most adorable when she’s being bathed. Even the way she’s curled when being let out of Pokéball is cute, Because she’s.....sleeping on her back, with her probably sensitive belly exposed to the world. Droll escaping from her wide open mouth, forming a little puddle around the side of her head.

Except, the sight would have been adorable to Eric if it weren’t for the drool, that made him sweat dropped. Forgetting about the image of cuteness altogether.”..uhhhh...”

He had imagined several scenes that his Salamence would actually just curled up, sleeping or something else like that. He had never imagined that Sally would actually droll when sleeping facing up like that.

“SNORE*”Eric winced, on top of that, she got one hell of a snore. Of course he knew, people like to snore because their airway were obstructed when facing upward.

Besides that, he shook his head at the ridicilous display and went to wake his first team member up.”Hey, Sally, wake up.”

Sally mumbled something incomprehensible to him, Eric just prodded her again with his right arm head.”Eric, I don’t wanna go. Later when after we finished our ‘session’ together.”

He sweat dropped. Eric just pretended he didn’t hear that. So, he proceeded to prod the sleeping Salamence.”Hey, wake up, girl.”Of course, she didn’t wake up.”C’mon man, we don’t have time for this now.”

He just keep prodding her, he didn’t know it will wake her or not. He accidentally prodded her belly, she batted it away while giggling. Eric stared at the arm heads and got a devious idea, he started tickling her. Actually running the arm heads dry tongue all over the belly.

Of course, she reacted like he expected, Sally at first just giggled. Until it turned into a full-blown laughter from her ticklish belly. Her eyes opened a little by little, Eric continued his quest to waking up the dragon.

Sally couldn’t take it anymore and her eyes snapped open. Eric immediately stopped his tickling and stepped back. When Sally eyes lay upon the Hydreigon floating over her, she cried out in surprise.

“Whoa,”Sally, with speed not seen in many Salamence suddenly jumped onto her four legs and snarled at the Hydreigon.”Who are you? Why are you tickling me?”

“Easy there, Sally!”He held up his arm heads in defense, hoping to calm her with talking. Not wanting to be on the receiving on of a Giga Impact from her.”It’s me Eric. Your trainer, your best friend? Please don’t blow me away with Giga Impact.”He begged, he really didn’t want that scenario to happen.

Sally recoiled slightly when recognizing the voice.”Eric? Is that really you?”The Salamence stared at the Hydreigon in bewilderment.”Wait a minute, Eric was supposed to be human. Not a three-headed Hydreigon.”She stepped forward, how dare this guy claim to be her best friend, Eric.

Eric floated backward.”Hey, hey, hey, Sally. I know your name, isn’t that proof enough to you? And look at the jacket.”

“Tell me something only Eric know, then. I’ll decide if I believe you, then. Knowing nicknames doesn’t prove anything.”The Salamence remained stubborn in her refusal to believe the Hydreigon in front of her.

Eric sighed, he hoped it didn’t come to this. He hated doing this to her.”Fine, you ask for this, Sally.”He took a deep breath before muttering.”When I was ten, I found you in my backyard when I checked my secret stash. All dirty and hungry. I gave you the food after that. I don’t know how a pokémon not native to Unova can suddenly be found in my backyard.”

Sally, upon hearing that, stopped snarling. Her features softened.”Eric? Is it really you?”

“Geez, that’s what I’ve been telling for the last five minutes I think.”Eric rolled his eyes. And she think she’s not stubborn.

He was suddenly pulled into a hug by the rather worried Salamence.”Eric! How did you end up like this?”She nuzzled him in an effort to calm him, causing him to fidget uncomfortably.

“I don’t know, I’ve been panicking, screaming, and then calming myself down. A record time I did all of those in a row actually.”Eric joked.

“Eric, now’s not the time for jokes. We need to get you back to a human!”Sally began inspecting every inch of nook and cranny of Eric. Trying to understand this unknown phenomena.

“Wait a minute, I can understand you, Sally. I mean, not with Will’s help now!”Eric cried, surprised at this sudden development.

Sally facepawed.”Of course, you do, Eric. You’re a Hydreigon now. I can’t believe you didn’t realize it until now.”Eric just chuckled nerveously.”And I suppose you didn’t realize you were floating off the ground, right?”

“Huh?”He looked He stopped flapping his six wings, causing his face to have another meeting with the Sir Dirt of the Ground.”Owww, just how many times do I have to fall on my face?”

The Salamence sweatdropped at Eric’s predicament.”When I said you didn’t realize you were floating, doesn’t mean I said you should stop floating.”Sally chided.”I swear, you’re so dense at times.”

“Hey, it was instinctual you know. Most pokémon learned how to fly probably by following their instinct.”Now that I realized that, I’ve been floating by instinct alone. Forcing it probably won’t work. Evident when he began flapping wildly.

Sally stepped in before Eric could probably hurt himself again.”No, no, no, to fly you need to slowly flap your wings.”

“Man, I sure miss my legs now. These six wings might look cool, but it’s not helping.”Eric slowly flap his six wings. He slowly flap his first two wings and he lifted of the ground slightly.

Sally nodded in understanding.”I think I understand now. You should try slowly flaping your first two wings, then the third and fourth before moving onto fifth and sixth. That should allow you lift off the ground.”

Eric did as instructed slowly and more carefully this time. First he flapped his first two wings simultenously, he took off the ground. He missed the timing of the third, and fourht wings, causing him to bump on to the ground again.

“This is a lot harder than I thought.”Eric groaned out.

“That’s because you’re trying too hard, Eric. Just don’t think about it, flap your wing like it’s the extension of your body.”

“Okay, okay, I’ll try.”Eric began to gingerly flap the wings like the procedure Sally told him. “By the way, did you hear my loud scream earlier?”Eric asked. Completely unrelated, trying to get his mind of things to act more naturally with the wings.

“I only hear as if something is whispering in my ear.”They heard a bushes rustling. As if by mere instict, Sally quickly stepped in front of Eric and snarling.

Sally was about to unleash her Outrage upon the intruder. She didn’t know how she came so close in doing it just to defend Eric. That is until a certain Serperior trudged out of the bush, noticing Sally’s expression.”Please, don’t attack me, Sally. It would certainly be unwise.”Surprised by the sudden appearance and nearly attacking her, Sally chuckled nerveously, she nearly attacked one of her team member. Eric weren’t that surprised to see Helen being the first one to actually find him because of his screaming fit earlier.

“Did you hear my scream earlier, Helen?”The Serperior nodded.”How did you know this is me either?”

“You scream is quite loud, how could any pokémon or human missed that?”Helen answered while tilting her head.”You have Eric’s voice and jacket while speaking casually around Sally, that’s good enough for me.” Eric nodded, Sally was always the voice of reason within the group for a reason after all.

“Sally sure did. She still asleep when I got there.”Eric said rather too cheerfully. The Salamence blushed at that.”Snoring as well, with a droll from her mouth.”Her face is as red as tomato.

Helen giggled at Sally’s reaction.”We’re off the subject. Are you two injured?”

“Nah, I’m fine, Helen.”He confirmed to the Regal Pokémon while Sally nodded, trying to desperately cover her blushing.

“I’m relieved to hear that.”Helen looked around the trees before looking back at Eric.”So, you’re a Hydreigon, Eric?”

Eric shrugged.”Beats me, don’t even know why I become like this.”Unconsciously, he began floating again.”What, is there something wrong?”

“No actually, I was just rather surprised.”

“Well at least you’re back with us, Helen. Why don’t we get out of this forest and get our bearings, huh, Sally?”

Sally shrugged.”Sounds good to me. Forest and myself never really get along after all.”

“I agree we must get our bearings, Eric.”The Serperior nodded.

“Let’s go then. Time’s a wasting”

“Is it just me, or we are seeing new types of pokémon as we passed?”Eric tried to strike a conversation.”Wish I had a pokédex right about now.”

Sally shooked her head as do Helen.”No, I don’t think you’re dreaming, Eric. I’m seeing them too.”The dragon, flying-type giving the animals a glance.”You’re right, they seem to be new ones I haven’t seen before.”

“I wholeheartedly agree, it seems we are in a different region after all.”Helen put a whip onto her chin.”Unless....”

Eric and Sally knew that Helen is probably got something on her mind. The regal Serperior is usually the voice of reason within the group, beside Eric. So when something is nagging her, it usually she’s either had some bad new or good news.

That prospect is not suitable for the Eric right now because he wished for good news.”Unless, what Helen? Please, tell me in a good news.”Eric asked as they continued onward.

“I’m not quite sure, Eric. So far, the pokémon we encountered seems to be quite fearful of us.”She motioned around with her vine. Sure enough the animals were giving them a wide and fearful looks, as if they’re the living personification of bad news.”They seems to be quite fearful of us.”

“Of course they would be scared. A three-headed dragon that most of the time are brutal, a giant winged salamander that are aggresive at times, and a giant vine snake. Who wouldn’t be scared?”Sally asked rhetorically.

“No, what I mean is, look at them.”They give the animals a once more lookd again, they seems to be getting when Helen meant.”I could sense their fear, they acted as if they never seen a pokémon for their entire lifetime.”

“Now that you mention it, they look liked as if they looked.....too varying or something, a lot of them were of variety different species. Most pokémon usually have a lot of the same species in generally the same area. We went through the forest and seen different species of flying-types. I haven’t seen any Fletchling either that were only found in Kalos.”

The Serperior nodded at Eric’s observation.“That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking about. It’s entirely possible that we’re not even in Kalos anymore or any region around it as well.”Helen added.”Or maybe we’re in an entirely different world.”

Eric and Sally stopped immediately.”Whoa, back up a bit. A different world. Really, Helen?”The Serperior nodded.”I know you’re always the voice of logic of the team, but don’t you think you’re going off topic here?”

“Any pokémon would have attacked us by now. Either out of fear, or our of defense of their territory. They haven’t attacked us, maybe because they don’t have any moves at all.”Eric nodded in confirmation.”Either that or we’re in a different world. Because it’s not possible I’ve suddenly turned like this without an explanation.”

“Still, I think a different world is farfetched in my opinion.”Sally said, remembering her teammates with a wide eye.”I forgot to ask. Where’s the stupid bird, Ricky, Will and Silas? You seen them, Helen?”

The Serperior shooked her head.”Unfortunately, no. I woke up somewhere within this forest. Once I began searching, I haven’t any trace of them. I’ve found Eric and you, Sally once I heard Eric’s scream while following the general direction of the unknown pokémon running away from.”

Eric rubbed the back of his head nerveously with one of his arm heads.”Yeah, I was panicked at the time.”

“No need to be sorry, Eric. Anyone would panic if they were robbed from their original body. It is best we find our way out of this forest first before we commence our search for our team member.”

His face suddenly turned gloomy along with the atmosphere.”Don’t remind me of that, Helen.”

The Serperior sweat dropped.”I don’t mean it like that, Eric. If it helps, you seems to be getting used to floating.”

Eric nodded, not falling to the ground this time.”Heh, it’s like you said, it’s instinct.”The Hydreigon swiveled his head, no landmark.”Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Anybody spotted anything landmark because I think we’ve been going around in circle.”He received a pair of shooking heads.

“Do you want me to scout out the area ahead?”Helen volunteered.”I will blend in with the forest and mark my way so I couldn’t get lost.”

“No, we don’t even know where we are, right now.”The Hydreigon shot down the offer.”I would take too long, either way.

Eric turned to Sally, she quickly understood what that meant.”Me?”Eric and Helen nodded.”But what about you, Eric?”

“I’ll be fine, besides,”He suddenly pulled Helen close to him, causing her to smile nerveously.”Besides, I have Helen with me.”

“What I meant, is how you’re coping with the body of a Hydreigon?”Sally asked.”I don’t want you suddenly setting off a large amount of attacks out of instinct.”

Eric frowned, he’s rather fond of her being worried about him, but sometimes . He appreciated the gesture though.”I understand you’re concern, Sally

“But-“She was cut off when a whip was put to her lips, silencing her.

Helen slithered forward.“Eric is my trainer and friend. I will protect him. I assure you of that, Sally.”

In one paw, Sally is still rather worried for the former human. She didn’t want him to suddenly set off attack just because he didn’t know how to control it and in one paw again, she’s worried how her best friend is coping with this.

Seeing her reluctance, Eric put an arm head on her shoulder.”I’ll be fine, Sally. It’s just a simple scouting.”

“You sure are quite calm for someone who got turned into a Hydreigon.”

Eric huffed.”I’m calm enough, you know. I already panicked earlier.”The three chuckled.

“Be careful Sally. Who knows what’s out there.”Sally nodded before slowly taking off to scout. Despite her big stature, Sally is always fast. The second fastest of his team with Archy being the first.

Sally returned landing quickly with a thump.”I think I see a silo out there in a clearing with a lot of rocks around it.”The Salamence reported.

“Did you see anything else?”The Hydreigon asked.

Sally nodded in confirmation.”I think I also see some kind of house just near the silo. It looks like someone is living there.”

“Finally, some good news, let’s ask for direction from them.”Both quickly heading toward the general direction of the silo.

“Wait,”The Salamence groaned while Eric just turned around with an eyebrow raised at Helen.”How are they going to understand us?”

Now both realized what that meant.”Maybe we should use gestures?”Eric offered.

Sally rolled her eyes.”Like that’s going to work. You didn’t even understand the gestures I’ve made most of the time.”

“Hey, I don’t really understand gestures that much.”Eric cried out indignantly.“What do you think we should do then?”

“It’s best that we approach whoever living there with caution. There’s still a possibility that this is another world entirely.”

Sally raised an eyebrow, she still thinks that another world is too farfetched.”So......you think that they’re aliens?”Helen nodded worldlessly.”Great, and I thought Deoxys is bad enough.”

“Then it’s settled.”Eric clapped both arm heads together.”Let’s go meet the local....carefully, though.”

“I agree whole-“They were suddenly cut off by a high-pitched scream.

“What was that?”Sally asked, swiveling her head around to find the source.

“It looks like to be a girl." She sniffed the air for any source of fear by flicking her branched tongue around, she’s after all a snake. She glanced at one general direction.”It’s that way.”

They wasted no time getting over there, of course, apart from Sally, both Helen and her trainer noticed that more dead trees were visible. What they saw is rather baffling. Some kind of grey ponyta with different colouring, being cornered on rock on the clearing by a Pyroar? Two of them no less, both male and female judging from their mane.

They looked at each other. Sally shrugged, Helen shrugged, they glanced at their trainer. The Hydreigon nodded. Both Sally and Helen went into battle with their cry and hiss respectively.

Chapter 3 : Awkward Meeting

View Online

To say that Inkie’s day couldn’t get any worse would be an understatement. At first, she was supposed to get to Ponyville in order to fix the pickaxe that has been broken, then she trudged through the northern portion of White Tail Woods across the train tracks through the usual path toward the train station to Ponyville. Then something bad happened.

Apparently there was supposed to be no dangerous fauna in Whitetail Woods. How wrong she was, because appearantly she encountered some kind of manticore-like creature out of sheer bad luck even when she stayed on the path. Because the creature also happen to stumble on the path while marking a territory.

The manticore-like creature with almost literal blazing mane were staring at her with the eyes of a predator because the earth pony mare could see the glint in it’s eyes. The shape of the mane were too different from the usual manticore, it also lacking wings, and stinger of a scorpion. So, she just stared....and stared in frozen shock. Unfortunately, predator like this tend to see a stare into the eye as a sign of challenge. The Pyroar growled and stared back in challenge as well.

However, a pony like Inkie upon seeing danger, responded like anypony else would. She screamed as loud as she can while running away. Unfortunately, that action caused the Pyroar to also roar in rage in response and chased after the prey.

“No, no, no, no, no!”Inkie muttered while her legs carry her through the woods as fast she it could without tripping.

The Pyroar roared again and pounced. Inkie saw a shadow eclipsing her form. She knew what was coming and quickly side-stepping out of pure reflex from years of rock farming for minerals. That caused her to veer off the path into the forest of Whitetails beyond. The Pyroar struck to follow.

Sweat running down her face, she didn’t care where she was heading anymore, all she wanted was to get away from the predator hot on her heels as fast as she can. The Pyroar slowly closed the distance again with ease.

The chase came to an abrupt end when another Pyroar with different styled mane stepped in front of her. “Waahhh!”She backed away from the fiery kitty.”Uh...good kitty?”That just got her a roar in the face that caused her to shudder in fear.

Inkie resolved not the get eaten so the flat-maned mare tried to turn around only to see the Pyroar from before shooting like bullet toward her in a pounce.

The mare panicked, she had nowhere to go again. So she resolved to do something at least, and that is by ducking and closing her eyes tightly. Luck was on her side, because that action caused the pouncing male Pyroar to unexpectedly crashed into the female Pyroar with a yelp.

Inkie, who was at that point too scared, opened her eyes slightly. The sight of two fiery kitty cats in a tangle of limbs. She inwardly hoof pumped and ran away quickly. The two male and female Pyroar looked at each other and nodded, resolve returned to chase after the mare.

The chase went on once more. The mare were proving to be quite tenacious, as when they tried to cut off her path, she would just quickly made a sharp turn and ran again. This one happened for several minutes of cat chasing the mouse.

Inkie eventually happened upon a clearing with a small boulder in the near middle of it, she tried to run for the other side. Unfortunately, she ran into the Pyroar and surprised her, causing the mare to scream again. She tried to turn around, only to find the male Pyroar emerging from the tree line.

She backed against the boulder. Not having anymore idea how to get out of this situation alive.”Good kitty, please, don’t eat me.”Inkie tried to reason with them.

They heard her loud and clear, although that didn’t stem them from approaching her further. The mare eyes were wet with tears at the prospect of imminent death.

Just when the Pyroar about to pounce once more. Their sharp ears picked up something to their right. They looked to that direction to see a rather ticked off Salamence and Serperior shooting toward them.

They reacted way too late when the Salamance 'Headbutted' the male Pyroar straight across the nose. Causing it to reel back in pain while clutching the damaged sensitive nose. While Helen, quickly summon to blade of leaves and dashed the female Pyroar, causing it to cry in pain as well despite the attack being ineffective.

Both Sally and Helen quickly landed beside each other. Eyeing the reeling Pyroar couple. After a while, the male one glared at them from the surprise attack while the female just smiled.

“It’s been a while since I have a fight.”The female Pyroar said while flames licking the inner of her mouth.

“Then, let’s take them down dear!”The male Pyroar growled and took a deep breath.

Eric seeing this, knew what was coming and reacted accordingly.”Sally, Helen! Get out of the way quick!”

Sally quickly flew over to Helen and grabbed her. Taking off just in time for the Serperior to avoid a potentially fatal Flamethrower.

“Retaliate with Leaf Storm, Helen! And Sally, drop her!”

“As you wish!”Sally quickly dropped Helen. The Serperior summoned forth dozens of sharp leaves and launched them at the opponent. While Helen landed gracefully.

The Pyroars dodged the spot that just got peppered . Unknowingly, the male Pyroar tried to unleash Flamethrower again got struck in the head with a downward Dragon Tail. Leveling his face with the ground while Sally landed beside her.

“No!”The female Pyroar charged at Sally with Fire Fang who just offhandely stepped aside.

“Sally! Brick Break him! Don’t let him recover!”The Salamence charged with Brick Break activated at the recovering male Pyroar.

“NOW! Solar Beam!”The female Pyroar turned around just in time to witness a white beam colliding with her face, not effective, but powerful enough to knock her down. The female Pyroar didn’t know that Helen had gathered solar energy during her attempted attack at Sally.

Meanwhile, the recovering female Pyroar look up just in time to witness a Brick Break to the skull. She could’ve sworn she heard something crack as she fell down again, now completely unconscious with comical swirly eyes.

Eric saw the male Pyroar attempt to get up from the earlier Solar Beam. He felt he shoudl end this now.”Time for the finishing! Sally, Helen use Outrage and Leaf Blade Combo!”

“Got it!”Both said simultenously.

Sally eyes started to glow a menacing blood red. The female Pyroar gulped, knowing what was coming next. She watched the Salamence carefully, readying to dodge when the attack was unleashed.

And Sally charged with the intention of trashing the lion repeteadly. The female Pyroar moved to jump out of the way, and tripped. She glanced over her shoulder just in time to see the Serperior moved away from behind her. She realized she had been tripped.

She tried to got up in time, in vain. Sally was already in front of her when the first punch was unleashed. Pain, it was pain that she felt, utter pain as Sally used Outrage on her. Sally literally punched, kicked, bat a wing, headbutt all at a random pattern over and over again. Sally finished her first Outrage with a punch that send the Pyroar flying, right toward the waiting Serperior.

Helen quickly slashed her Leaf Blade across the back of the Pyroar, her cry of pain is heard. She slithered back and dashed forward. Sally doing the same with one foreleg stretched outward, both attacks impact the female Pyroar at the same time. Sally and Helen just stood in that pose, until they heard the female Pyroar crumpling behind them.

Eric stepped in to congratulate them. It’s been a while since he had a tag battle.”Good job, Helen!”Said Serperior nodded with a smile at the praise.”And you....too?”

Sally started stumbling around in confusion, the after effect of Outrage.....while giggling. Eric just sweat dropped. The Hydreigon turned his head around the clearing, but didn’t see the Ponyta from earlier.

“Hey did you guys, see the Ponyta?”Eric asked, Helen shrugged.

“No, I only see pretty birdie!”Sally mumbled while trying to swat the bird circling around her head and tripped on her own tail. Eric double sweat dropped along with Helen. Sally always rather awkward when Confused.

“No, I don’t see him....or her.”That only meant one conclusion to the Serperior.”The Ponyta must’ve escaped in the confusion.”

Eric sighed in frustration, he was hoping to at least talk to the strange Ponyta about where they are now.”Great, so what do next then?”

“I figure, it’s best if we keep heading toward the silo Sally mentioned. So-”They all heard a growl again. Helen stared over Eric’s shoulder. Eric turned his head to see a charging male Pyroar from before. Appearantly, he didn’t stay unconscious for long. Some did woke up after being knocked unconscious

“Hey, I got something to say to you all!”The male Pyroar roared, a visible bruise were visible on the forehead where Sally Brick Breaked him earlier.

“Uh-oh.”Eric muttered. Sally, recovered from the Confusion early, quickly flew and stood in front of him.

After several attempted attacks and roasting later. It was all revealed to be a little misunderstanding when the female Pyroar calmed her mate down and explained the whole thing.

Turns out that, originally, the male Pyroar were just going out it's way to scout it's territory when the mare from before stared it in the face, so of course, he thinked it's a challenge and reacted in kind by chasing her. When the mare ran into their territory and encountered the female Pyroar, they shifted their goal toward chasing her out. The male just happen to be marking their new territory after, they were somehow put to sleep and woke up in an unfamiliar place.

Sally just stayed back while Eric and Helen both apologized profusely for attacking them unprovoked earlier. The Salamence just whistled innocently when Eric glared her way.

“Forgive us for our misunderstanding sir and ma’am!”The Serperior bowed again in an apology.

“You better! Or I’ll have you roasted on the spot.”The male Pyroar growled, more than ready to have a grass snake for dinner. Some bruises still visible.

Eric in return also apologized to the pair.”Sorry for that, I thought you were going to eat that Ponyta or something.”

“Just because we’re Pyroars, doesn’t mean we have to eat in an unrefined manner.”The female Pyroar admonished Eric, who grinned nerveously. The same Pyroar sported several bruises and also seems to limp.

The female Pyroar shooted her mate by putting a paw on to his.”Dear, she and her trainer already apologized. Let’s just forget this and move on.”

The male huffed a little flame out of his snout.”Hmmph, if you say so, dear.”

“Besides, I didn’t have such a good battle in a while.”The female added while shrugging her shoulder.”I just take it in a good fun.”

“Maybe this fight would have ended differently if they didn’t surprise us in the first place.”The male retorded.”I would have easily taken them, dear.”

I seriously doubt he and his mate could take on Sally. Both Helen and Eric inwardly thought. Refusing to say it out loud.

“Regardless, let’s put this incident behind us shall we, dear?”

The male nodded begrudgingly.”.....Yes, of course.”The female smiled.”But, I still want a...”

“Perfect!”The female practically bit down on her mate’s tail and dragging him away while limping. Not wanting to start another argument or battles with the strangers.

Both Eric and Helen just stared at the spot where the two Pyroar stood earlier. They knew that Pokémon heals fast, but so fast that she’s actually limping away after only an hour? Both expected they male Pyroar to carry his mate, but it turns out the female seems to be stronger, what with the female population of Pyroar is higher. She did last longer in the battle earlier.

They turned their head at each other in bewilderment. Eric shrugged, and Helen nodded, not caring either way on how the pair going to handle things from here on out.

“So it confirms your theory, huh?”Eric said to Helen as they headed back toward Sally.”Who would’ve thought we’re in a whole different world.”

Helen nodded, sad that her theory turns out correct.”It was unfortunate. Our first priority remains unchanged in getting you back to human form!”

Sally heard about the last part.”What are you two talking about? Don’t left me out if it’s important.”

Eric just waved it off.”Nothing important enough, probably confirming Helen’s theory when the Pyroar said about sleeping and then waking up in an unfamiliar place.”The Hydreigon said offhandedly.

Sally raised a skeptical eyebrow, glancing at the Serperior in question. Helen nodded in confirmation. “I’m afraid so Sally. Do you remember what we experienced before we got here?”

The Salamence put a paw to her chin in thought. It all came back to her.”Yeah, I got drowsy all the sudden and hearing a voice in my head!”He looked at both Eric and Helen, knowing what that look meant.”Wait, you guys heard it too?”

Eric tapped his tiny ears on the side of head.”Heard it loud and clear. Probably forgot what the voice said by now with all the excitement though.”

“Rest now my children, for when you awake, a whole new world shall be your home!”Sally and Eric glanced sharply at her, causing her to flinch.”That’s what it said.”

Upon hearing the accursed bad news, Sally ears dropped and sat onto her haunches. Helen and Eric are usually correct in their theory. They were both always tried to remain logical.”So that’s it? We’re in a whole different world now? Because of some crazy psychic maniac sending us to an alien world?”

“Huh, if that Ponyta earlier we’ve seen isn’t sign enough then what else? Because in school, I was never taught about any Ponyta like that.”The Hydreigon said rethorically, trying to remain optimistic during these times.”Yeah, I guess who could call the voice is the culprit.”

Helen slithered forward.”Nevertheless, our priorities doesn’t change. If we are indeed in a whole different world, then it is necessary to get a lay of the land first and then find a way to change our trainer back into human form.”

Eric nodded in full agreement.”I was just about to say the same thing, Helen.”He looked at Sally.”So Sally, do you still remember the way to the farm?”The Salamence nodded.

“Good, then hope that the locals are much more understanding than the Ponyta alien earlier, huh?”

“How do you plan to understand the locals Eric. As far as I know, even human didn’t understand how we speak, right?”Sally replied.

Eric nodded.“Well, for that, I just hope that Helen still remember the penmanship that she taught herself.”He pointed at the Serperior in question. “We don’t exactly have Will to translate for us now.”

“I can do that. In fact, I still remember how to write with my vines.”The Serperior confirmed. Actually making Eric sigh in relief.

“Good, I can’t exactly write with these heads.”He moved the arm head to emphasize his point.”I really starting to miss my hands.”

“I think you can still use those heads to grip things, Eric.”The Serperior reminded her trainer. Remembering seeing a Hydreigon grabbing something using the mouth of the heads.

“I’ll remember that for later. For now, though.”He floated away, glancing over the shoulder to Sally.”Lead the way again, Sally.”

“Are we getting close now, Sally?”Eric asked, while trying to rub his back. The long amount of time floating around.”My wings are getting sore here. Still not used to floating”

“I think your new body is still quite fragile compared to your already toned human one, Eric.”Helen added while getting suspicious when the dead trees increased in number as they went by the path.

“We’re here!”The dragon-type glanced over her shoulder.”We’ve arrived.”Sally was surprised, but it was actually more than surprised. She’s shocked.

The state of the land were rather.....desolate. With many rocks littered around and jutted out from the ground. Even the surrounding trees were all dead. Except some around the edges of the clearings. Even then those dead trees were very limited in number.

“That was......surprising.”Eric muttered, though he would expect something like this with the dead trees increasing in quantities.

“it is, the dead trees from our way here we’re to be any indicator, it seems that this clearing can’t support plant life.”She glanced at the many rocks in the field. It wouldn’t take a genius to figure it out.”Not with that many rocks around.”

“Huh, look at that!”Eric ignored Helen when she pointed at the house, windmill and silo in the distance.”Your recon skill still as good as it ever be.”

Sally looked away and blushed at the praise.”It was nothing Eric.”

Helen, however, noticed her reaction, but just decided to remain quiet about it.”Shall we go?”

“We shall.”Eric agreed and they walked toward the farm. Tensing on the prospect of second interaction with the locals.

The field was larger and wider than they first thought, they only just reached fence.”You know, I would’ve thought that the “Eric tried to strike a conversation once more. Feeling that silence won’t help the situation while this time leading the way.

“Maybe they’re afraid?”Helen replied.”We are after all quite intimidating. Especially Sally’s Ability to Intimidate her opponent before fighting!”

“Yeah, like I said earlier. Even without my ability, who wouldn’t be afraid of-“They were passing a spot until Sally got cut off when they felt the earth sink a little.

Eric glanced over his shoulder in surprise when Sally stopped speaking.”Huh?”

Sally and Helen just turned their heads toward each other. Knowing what was coming. Even if they didn’t move, their combined weight probably enough for the thing to do it’s job. Both just said.”Uh-oh!”And their fear were founded when they fell down a pit while crying out.

“SALLY! HELEN!”He quickly floated over to the hole in worry and looked down. Relieved a little when Sally and Helen’s tail is visible.”Sally! Helen!”

The Salamence rubbed her butt in pain.”Owww, I think I landed on my tail.”

“Sally....would you please get off me?”A muffled voice sounded somewhere. Sally swiveled her head back and forth, spotting nothing, but walls of dirt.

“Helen? Where are you?”Sally yelled.

“You’re sitting on my head.”Helen voice came again. Sally blushed in embarassment before quickly getting up. Freeing her tail at last as well.

Eric saw the whole thing and sweat dropped at the ridiculousness of Sally landing on her tail right on Helen’s head. After Sally freed herself, Eric yelled down the pit.

“Are you both OK? Do you need help?”Eric yelled.

“Yeah, we’re fine!”Sally replied.”Just give us a moment to get out.”

Helen used her vine to rub her head.”Clever, tricking us using a fake paper to disguise the hole.”

Sally just noticed Helen and proceeded to do what one does when he makes a mistake, apologizing profusely like what Helen did earlier.”Helen, sorry, sorry, sorry. I didn’t know you were there.”

Of course, Helen didn’t take it to heart. It was an accident after all.”No, no, it’s fine Sally. It was just a freak accident, nothing more.”

“Still, I-“Sally and Helen’s ears picked up a muffled sound up above. They looked up the hole and didn’t see Eric anymore.

Meanwhile, up the hole. Eric was just sighing in relief until that relief were destroyed when his vision were filled with brown with a sudden weight on his back. He tried to shake it off.

“I got him!”A female voice sounded.

“Nice, Inkie!”He tried to move his right arm head only to find some weight were attached to it and putting a bag on the head as well. His left arm were soon suffered the same fate.

“Hey! Get off me!”Of course, to the aliens, they probably think the three-headed hydra is just speaking gibberish.

Inkie and Blinkie Pie managed to bag all of the heads of the somewhat floating small hydra-like creature, forcing it to the ground. Their earth pony strength gained from the years of rock farming were showing when they held the bagged and struggling Hydreigon by remaining on it’s back. Riding it like a rodeo.

Igneous and Cloudy quickly ran over with some nets.”Quick, girls, get away.”The twins jumped off while their parents spread the net all over the struggling former-human Hydreigon. The Hydreigon still struggled even when the net is spread.

“Good job. Now let’s take care of the-“Igneous were cut off by a fierce roar.

“SALAMANCE!”They all turned around, widening their eyes when one angry giant-winged salamander were shooting toward them. Not anticipating one of the beast to actually able to fly at all.

They all quickly dived out of the way, luckily dodging the missile. The Salamance quickly landed, turning around to snarl at them all. Stood protectively in front of the captured Hydreigon.

It appears to them all as if the salamander were about to eat them all. Igneous know when to run when he sees one.”EVERYONE RUN!”

They need not to be told twice. Inkie and Blinkie ran away, followed by Cloudy and Igneous. That is until Inkie bumped into something, Blinkie bumped into her and followed by their parents bumping into the twins.

The family glanced upward nerveously, meeting the eyes of a very ticked off giant greenish and white snake with slittle pupil glaring down at them. Helen didn’t need to use Glare on them, just a simple glare is enough, considering how tall she is as well. The reaction was all the indication she needed to know with them all backing away.

Blinkie decided to humor her by waving her right forehoof.”I don’t suppose you can let us get away, Mr. Snake?”

Helen, for her part, just shook her head slowly. The Serperior looked over the terrified family and to her trainer, in the process of being freed by burning the net and bag by Sally.”Hy, Hydreigon!” ; ‘That’s it. Helen, Coil them up!’Helen and Sally couldn’t agree more. No one harms their trainer.

So, said Serperior slithered toward them with lightning-quick speed. Igneous tried to stomp her once she’s close enough, to his surprise, she just slithered around his hoof as it came down. She slithered around the family who huddled closer to each other. In no time, the family were coiled together by Serperior serpentine body before giving them one tight squeeze, causing them to gasp and eyes bulging a little.

The former human was already freed at this point by Sally’s Flamethrower. The flame washed over the net and bags, leaving him with actually little harm because he’s a dragon-type. He floated over to them while Sally eased herself around them, that still didn’t stop her from snarling at them from nearly capturing her trainer.

“Good job, Helen.”Eric praised, Helen just nodded while tending to her charge inside her coils.”Let me speak with them.”Helen nodded and eased her coils, still not enough form them to break out though.

Eric tried to approach them, while holding one arm out.”Hey, can we speak with you?” That just came out as a jumble of words to the family.

“Can you understand me?”Of course, they didn’t understand. Instead they just gotten more scared as they appearant hydra floated closer to them.”Hey, I’m not going to hurt you!”

They were trying to lean back as far as possible now when the hydra approachd them while speaking, Hydreigon, and Hydreigon repeatedly. To them, it appears the hydra were going to feed on them.

Sally and Helen sweat dropped at their trainers obliviousness. Possibly forgetting that he’s not exactly human at the time.”Eric, did you forget?”The Hydreigon lowered his arm and stared at Sally in bewilderment.”You’re not exactly human right now?”

It took Eric brains a few second to process that, he immediately blushed and grinned nerveously.”Helen, can you?”He replied without looking at the Serperior. In fact, she already did.

Now, can we speak? Helen wrote on the ground with her vines. Surprising the family.

The family were still rather reluctant to trust these beast that Inkie had described. Though they were expecting two more from the number Inkie told them all. Obviously, they were unprepared for the beast abilities to actually fly.

And certainly not the knowledge that they were able to understand Equestrian speech at all. “Uhhh...yes?”Igneous said uncertainly. Afraid of what they were going to do if he refused.

The Serperior wiped the ground and wrote something new. Good, we want explanation. Helen added at the bottom. Please bear with us.

Cloudy Quartz were beginning to get even nerveous. She certainly didn’t expect the Serperior to actually write something in a form of apology. Or that it is intelligent for the matter.

Let us move inside. Helen added another last part. Shall we?

The family nodded. Afraid of actually refusing. What other choice do they have anyway? They were at the beast’ mercy.

Helen gently uncoiled them. The family glanced uncertainly at the creatures, that is until Helen’s head motioned the family toward the house. They lead the way uncertainly.

Meanwhile, Sally grinned in appreciation, at the same time giving Helen a distanced high-five at her successful penmanship negotiation. Helen responding the high-five with one her vines.

“Good job, you two.”Eric said, praising his two pokémon.”Let’s get some explanation.”

Chapter 4 : Introductions...Explanations (Edited)

View Online

After the brief scuffle earlier, the Pie family led the three unknown beast, no, monsters into their house. It’s not like they had a choice, out of fear of getting....eaten by the monsters, they just obliged with their wishes.

So here they are, within the house’s living room, cramped from the size of it, or just because the Pokémon here were just too big. The house atmosphere seems to reflect that of a typical farmhouse, but instead of animal breeding, the family breeds rock for mining purposes later on.

Sally curled up in the kitchen, the only part of the house that seems to fit her size. Eric just floated near the table, intending to talk to the family right away along with Helen beside him.

The Pie family seated near each other around the circular table, no one said a word due to the monster’s presence in the house and afraid of inciting their wrath.

In an attempt to reduce the tension in the air, Eric got into Helen’s ear before whispering.”So what do you think we should do now, Helen?”

The Serperior raised an eyebrow.”First of all, let’s give some introduction to them first about us in order to abate their fear toward us. After that is done, we can move on to the explanation from them.”

Eric nodded.”Great idea, Helen.”He glanced around the table for any writing material. There is none visible.”But, how the hell are we going to speak to them. I didn’t see any writing material.”

“I think I can get the family to borrow one.”Helen offered.

The Pie family stared in bewilderment, as it is obvious that the two monsters, a vine snake and a three-headed hydra is whispering in front of them. They could hear the faint words, ‘Hydreigon’ or ‘Serperior’ said all over again. But they didn’t interrupt them anyway.

They could hear a faint breathing behind them. Blinkie glanced backward, just in time to see the winged salamander to stare at her. She squaked and her eyes are forward once more.

“What should I explain to them, Eric?”Helen asked her trainer.

Eric put a head to his chin in thought. He could have snapped his fingers....if he still have one, but he subconsciously clicked the mouth of the head.”Just introduce us, summary of what we are, and our predicament. Then ask for them to introduce themselves. We can began our future discussion from there.”

Helen nodded in confirmation.”As you wish, Eric.”Helen started making gestures, hoping that unlike her trainer, the family would understand.

Using her vines, she make a gesture of writing by scratching on the table with one of her vines. While gesturing that she can’t speak their language by opening her mouth as if wanting to speak before zipping it shut with the second vine. The Serperior had hoped that they would understand.

“What?”The twins stated rather dumbly. Helen sweat dropped, causing her to be reminded of Eric’s own denseness.

“They can’t speak our language, dears.”Cloudy interrupted.”And I think she wants to write something?”Helen nodded, grateful that at least one pony understood her. Confirmed by the nod, she stood up nerveously."I'll get the quill and the paper. Please excuse me."Helen raised an eyebrow at the mention of quill. She thought that they would at least have pens. She just brushed it off.

Helen glanced at Eric and nodded in success. The Hydreigon is excited by the news, knowing at least one thing went their way.”Perfect, now we can-“During his excitement, one of his wings twitched.

What happens next was a world of pain when Eric’s head crashed to the ceiling when his wings during his excitement beat downward with more force than necessary. Of course, every winged creatures wing usually acted with subconscious thoughts on their own. A fact that Eric had missed because he forgot that he’s a Hydreigon now.

Eric clutched his head in pain, with tears at the corner of his eyes.”Owww, what the hell is wrong with these wings?”Helen and Sally just sweat dropped. Inkie and Blinkie muffled their imminent giggling at the monster’s expense. Their parents stared, was this the monster that had just threatened them?

Helen shook her head.”This is going to take a while.”The grass-type sighed.

Hours later, well at least that what it seems anypony who weren’t paying attention to the clock, of course. Combined with the fact that the two pokémon and one transformed human couldn’t speak human language, they will have to make due with some more writing material, with a lot of papers as well. Of course, it will take longer than it appears.

Helen tried to explain about them as best as she could without wasting too much ink or papers for that matter. The family already slack jaw, slacked even more all the way to the ground, figuratively when the explanation when on and on.

"First of all, we are not mere mindless monsters, we are creatures called Pokémon. The short version of Pocket Monsters. We are as intelligent as any sapient species, etc. The catch is that, we couldn’t speak normally. Only with the help of another pokémon creature called Psychic-type can their speech be translated through the use of telepathy with the ones they wanted to speak with."

"There is a type rare pokémon that were capable of human speech, though they were very rare." Helen didn’t write anymore information regarding those pokémon, not seeing it relevant.

"Let me get this straight. You are all capable of thinking like any sapient creatures. And are called...pokémons?"

"That's right, we are pokémons. Let us introduce ourselves. The three-headed dragon is Eric, he's a former human...now a pokémons liek us. We don't know the cause. The one with the red wings behind all of you is Sally. And, finally, my name is Helen."Using more papers, Helen introduced herself, her trainer, and finally Sally who still staring at them like they still might try something funny. Vigilant eyes still trained on them from behind. She also didn't mention that Eric is her trainer, they could probably take it the wrong way and think that she's a slave.

The families quickly got a grasp on who they are.

Eric is the creature called Hydreigon, once a former creaure called hooman or something like that. He awkwardly waved at them with one of his heads. The giant blue-scaled and winged salamander is called Sally. And finally, the giant vina snake with the red slitted eyes is calling herself Helen, seemingly the most rational out of all of them.

The grass-type snake also mentioned in her writing that it’s up to these so called hooman to name the pokémon or just call them by the name of their species. Leaving the fact that Eric is their trainer, knowing it probably might cause the wrong kind of reaction by the locals.

Helen brushed the paper aside, to the growing pile of papers on the table and took another one. Writing some more with the rather ancient quill writing instead of pen. Why don’t you all try to introduce yourselves. Don’t be nerveous, sir and ma’am.

After seeing what’s on the paper. The girls quickly introduced themselves.”Hi, my name is Inkie. Nice to meet you!”The mare known as Inkie with the straight, dark grey mane alongside light grey coat and magenta eyes introduced before quickly looked away as fast as she introduced herself.”I’m sorry about, um, earlier?”

The mare with the grey mane, grayish purple-coat alongside a couple of hazel eyes introduced herself next.“My name is Blinkie!”She looked away awkwardly like her twin.“And I’m sorry too!”Blinkie added into their apology with puppy dog eyes that it seemed ridiculous to Helen instead of funny or cute. She sweat dropped at the scene in front of her.

Helen already wrote a reply. It’s no trouble. All is forgiven. After all you are just defending your home. The girls sighed in relief at this. Thinking they were going to be eaten.

The grey old mare with the seaweed mane in a bun introduced herself.”My name is Cloudy Quartz,”She pointed at the brown pony with graying mane and beard.”This is my husband Igneous Rock. Nice to meet you all.” The pony in question just huffed.

The family had already relaxed a bit after the little bit explanation that it was confirmed that they are intelligent creatures, just couldn’t speak their language.

Sally proceeded to explain their predicament. Detailing on what happened after they were dropped onto this pony planet. Where they met with each other and looking for their friends when they heard Inkie’s scream. All of them quickly rushed to the scene and faced off against the Pyroar in an effort to protect Inkie, only for her to rush off in fear.

Regardless the twins felt even more sorry for what they did earlier with Inkie felt guilty not thanking them for saving her. The prospect of learning that they were separated from their friends caused the twins to coo.“Oh, you poor thing.”The twins Pie cooed.”Why didn’t you say so in the first place.”

“I think it’s time for us to make some dinner in return. The poor things went through enough trouble already!”Inkie added.

“You read my mind, Inkie!”Both hummed a merry tune while trotting to the kitchen.”Anything else you want dad?”Blinkie shouted from the kitchen

“Just the usual is fine.”Igneous Rock stated absentmindedly. Still staring at them like a hungry predator.

Cloudy Quartz added some of her own.”Just gave me some oatmeals, dears.”Cloudy smiled.

“Yes, mom.”Inkie called out to the kitchen.

Sally just looked at them like they had grown a third eye on their forehead with a bemused expression.”Poor thing? I’m a dragon-type salamander, I’m very far from a poor thing.”The Salamence stated matter-of-factly

“Well you do look cute when curled up like that, Sally.”Eric added not-so-helpfully. Sally rolled her eyes.

Meanwhile, Cloudy Quartz tried to make sense of all of this. These pokémon were somehow transported from another world to this one. In other words, her family had possibly made first contact with these aliens. She glanced out through the window, it was already nightfall. The mare didn’t know that time had already went by that fast in this fiasco of theirs.

Meanwhile, scrutinizing them for any wrongs, Igneous stayed quiet throughout the conversation since the beginning. Helen feeling the stare, just stared back with an emotionless expression on her face.

Not deterred, Helen proceeded to write some more. Can you explain where we are? Any information would be appreciated.

Cloudy smiled.”Well, the three of you are in Equestria.”

Can you elaborate? What species you are? Or anything else, including landmarks?

"That would be a very long explanation. Are you sure about this?"The mare asked which the Serperior nodded in reply.

We could bear with it. Helen replied.

The mare sighed in resignation."Here goes nothing then."

So Cloudy Quartz began explaining the three pony races."Our race is comprised of three pony races. Our family consist of Earth Ponies, those who take care of the lands with their greater strength and stamina. Other's are called Pegasus, they are ponies who are born with wings who had the ability to control the weather. In fact, they are the ones who manage the weather in Equestria."Eric and Helen of course, didn't believe her. Not saying anything for believing that would offend her."The last of the pony race is Unicorns. who could activaly do magic. All of us have magic inside, with the exception of unicorns, they could actively use magic. Pegasi and Earth Ponies have only passive magical abilities in their respective areas." Of course, it seems ridiculous to both Eric and Helen who frequently uses logic to explain things when Cloudy said magic.

"Excuse me, ma'am. I found that quite hard to believe. In our world, there are no such things as magic."

The mare frowned."A world without magic? How can you live in that world?"

"The humans and pokémons alike have preserved through hard work together. It certainly helps that technology have advanced further these years."

"Oohh, a world without magic and where technology were advanced. I want to know more!"Inkie said excitedly. Blinkie could say the same.

The mare had certainly gotten curious, her daughters was the same. She was cut off when Helen raised her vine and wrote."Forgive us for cutting you off, ma'am, but we had gotten off the subject. Could you tell us exactly where we are in this....Equestria?"

She proceeded to explain the location in which they reside."We are all in the small woods just a little bit north of the White Tail Woods just across the train tracks, one of the safest forest in Equestria from predators. It is called the Minerals Forest due to it being richest place in Equestria full of minerals, but almost completely deserted of any form of life, fauna or otherwise. It is located across the train tracks, with a small station by the track to sign the path leading into the forest. There are part of the forest where there are living trees with flora and fauna, south of the farm closer to the White Tail Woods where they had just tread earlier through the path ultimately leading to the farm. Because of that, many said this forest where the trees is bare of leaves is separate parts from the White Tail Woods."

"Many ponies tread the White Tail Woods, but never encountered this field because of the path that will eventually lead back to the entrance. The only way to reach the Minerals Forest is by train or trudge through White Tail Woods all the way to the train tracks and cross it into the woods separated by the train tracks." They happen to woke up in the forest across the train tracks and stumble upon the path leading to it earlier.

"There's also a famous town called Ponyville nearby." None of them said a thing when the mare continued. "You all could reach Ponyville by walking, but that would take hours due to distance and being in the isolated part of the forest. That’s where the Elements of Harmony lived the heroes of Equestria and the wielder of the elements. One of them happens to be my daughter." When hearing the rather cheesy name, Eric and Sally had to struggle not to burst out laughing while Helen sweat dropped at the name.

Never noticing their reaction, the grey mare continued that. "This country is currently ruled by two rulers called Princess Celestia and the recently returned Princess Luna."Helen held up a vine, signalling her to stop for a moment.

"Princesses? As in monarchy?"Helen wrote.

"Yes, it is. Our country do ran on monarchy for thousands of years. There was never a queen before."Without stopping, Cloudy continued. "They are the ones that responsible for control the rising of both the moon and sun."

Helen and Eric nearly fell over backward at that. Even Sally jolted out from her curled up position when hearing that. Princess Celestia moved the sun? The prospect is rather….absurd to them.

Helen quickly wrote more."Move the sun and the moon!? That would be impossible, ma'am. The sun is millions the size comparred to our own planet."

"How do you know that?"

"Because, using technology. Humans have already calculated the size of the sun. It's too enormous."Unless the sun is here smaller than the one in back on Earth, then it's....fully possible in Helen's opinion.

"Well, Princess Celestia and Luna are capable of that. We didn't really question how she did so."

All further explanation were halted when a few minutes later that any further staring was dissipating when from the kitchen, Inkie and Blinkie returned. The pokémons in the room is jolted out of their daydream when the conversation abruptly ended a few minutes before. Both ponies carried trays on their back rather skillfully.

“Here you go!”Inkie said cheerfully. Setting the trays on the table right in front of the occupants. “I don’t know what you guys wanted. I just go with oatmeals along with some daisy flowers.”

Eric, Sally, and Helen stared at their food. It was an oatmeal, nothing is out of the ordinary, except that there’s some flower on it. Sally’s face almost become greener at the prospect of eating a flower.

Right, they’re herbivores. Just like a Ponyta and Blitzle along with their evolutions. Eric thought with Helen having thought the same thing.

“Sal, salamance, sal?” ; ‘I’m supposed to eat a flower? That’s disgusting!'

“Hydreigon, Hydre!” ; ‘No choice here, Sally. Don’t want to appear rude here. Even if I didn't like it myself.’

“Salamance!“ ; ‘But, I’m not a herbivore!’ Sally argued.

To the family, it just appears that the three-headed dragon spewed the words ‘Hydreigon’ over and over again along with the salamander. Only the salamander just said the words ’Salamance’.

Helen wrote quickly in reply. Thank you for your hospitality. With that, Helen discarded the paper while silently smacked Sally on the back of the head to quit her ranting. The Serperior paid no heed to the glare she received.

All of them eat in one of the most awkward dinner ever. Sally eventually and reluctantly ate her meal, nearly retching a couple of times when it comes to swallowing the flowers.

“Done, dad!”Inkie shouted cheerfully. Finished after unlocking the silo door for the three to sleep in for a while. After the dinner, the three Pokémon concluded the info gathering for today.

“Careful with the tools in there! Those are expensive!”Cloudy Quartz shouted to the three pokémon. Sally made a rather gagging sound on the flower she ate earlier, Eric weren’t that bothered. Both just ate the flower, not wanting to appear rude. Helen sweat dropped while staring at them from the back.

Helen nodded. Eric, Helen and Sally, floated, slithered and walked over to the barn respectively. It’s just next to the farmhouse, with the decent looking wooden silo. Nothing too expensive or too cheap in it’s construction. Eric glanced at Sally and Helen, they just shrugged before moving onward. All of them were tired from today’s event as the adrenaline wore off.

Once reaching the now unlocked barn, Eric nudged the door inward and peeked through the darkened space. The Hydreigon got in first, followed by his two pokémon inside.

They couldn’t see much, but the moonlight peeking through some cracks is enough of an illumination for now. The silo it seems were consisted of two floors and some visible window on top of the doorway on the second floor. The floor seems wide enough for all of them to sleep in.

Eric yawned.”This turns out to be one hell of a day.”

“Yeah, me too.”Sally wasted no time to curl herself up on the middle of the barn.”Can’t believe all of this is happening.”

“I agree, this day seems to be so....strange.”The Serperior couldn’t get the nagging thought that someone had really transported them here. So, she just asked.“Who do you think transported us here, you two?

“Got to be someone crazy. Maybe some crazy Team Flare guy or something from the news.”Sally added in.”What’s with the voice in our heads before we got here anyway?”

“It has to be some kind of psychic-type because it’s telepathy.”Sally concluded.

The Hydreigon sighed at the Serperior. He just wanted to sleep for now.“We’ll figure it out tomorrow. For now, let’s just lay our heads down and sleep. Wouldn’t you agree?”The former human chirped in.

Sally sighed.”You’re right. Let’s get some sleep and figure out this mess tomorrow.”

Helen nodded in agreement. Slithering over next to Sally and coiled herself up beside her, just enough personal space for close friends, but still close for warmth. While Eric laid down in front of Sally, finding it rather awkward to sleep as a Hydreigon.

“You know that you can just sleep on my side, right?”Eric stared at Sally like she had grown a second head.

“I’m a pokémon now.”Eric replied rather hesitantly.”Sleeping on you as a human is fine, but as a pokémon.....I don’t think that’s proper.”His blush were all visible underneat that lavender color of his head.

Sally stared at her trainer with her usual bemused expression.”Screw those rules, Eric. You can lay your head on my side like always.”She patted her side for emphasis.

“But-“Eric was about to argue, but stopped himself. The knowledge of it being pointless with Sally stubborn attitude.

Sally expression softened.”Eric, you’re always slept at my side for years now while outside of a city. What’s the difference about it now?”

“T-that’s different!”Eric stuttered out the words.”And the difference is that, I’m a Hydreigon now!”

“Tell me how you’re going to sleep, then?”Sally countered. Feeling a little bit smug, knowing Eric couldn’t sleep without something soft to prop his head. That something is her side.

Eric couldn’t answer, knowing that she’s right.”Uhhhh….I don’t…know?”

Sally grinned.”Exactly.”She patted her side again.”Now, just get to sleep!”

Unknown to Eric, Sally blushed as well. Having Eric as a Hydreigon sleeping on her side like this. It set off all kinds of alarm bells in her head. It might not have been proper because they weren’t mates. He’s her trainer, simple as that, so she doesn’t really care. She relaxed at the fact that despite Eric being dense, but he’s still a gentlemen. Knowing enough that it’s not proper to sleep on her side.

Eric hesitantly propped his head on her side before laying down facing to the side.”Thanks, Sally! Hope you don’t feel offended.”

“I don’t feel offended, you know!”Sally offhandedly brushed that comment.”

As she closed her eyes. She heard Eric mutter.”Her side still soft as always.”This made her blush.

She shrugged it off, finally going to dreamland.

The family closed the door and locking it before getting into a heated hushed whispers with each other on the table.

After making sure that the Pokémon fell asleep, they quickly gathered to discuss their own predicament.”So,”Cloudy Quartz glanced at the girls on the table.”What do you girls think on our….guest?”

The twins glanced at each other and nodded.”I think they’re nice!”Inkie added.

“Have to agree with Blinkie, mom. These. Besides, I think they’re cute!”Blinkie continued. Cute enough for a three-headed dragon, winged salamander, and giant vine snake.

Cloudy smiled while nodding, she did have those kinds of opinion herself. The mare glanced at her husband, oddly not saying anything except the part where he was asked about food.”What about you, honey?”

“I don’t trust them!”The answer was short and curt.

Inkie and Blinkie gasped almost dramatically.”Why, dad? They’re nice Pokémon.”Blinkie replied.

“Yeah!”Inkie agreed.

Igneous just huffed out a breath.”They came to our home like that and attacked us! What more reason for me not to trust them? And they’re aliens! Aliens!”He emphasized the last word on ‘alien’.

“I think that was just self-defense, honey.”Cloudy added.

Inkie nodded“Yeah, since we were the one who jumped on them first.”Both twins smiled sheephisly. Inkie blushed, since she’s the one who ran away after being saved before warning her parents, causing the misunderstanding in the first place.

Igneous chose to ignore them.”I think we should report this first contact to Princess Celestia

“For now, let’s just observe them, honey.”She glanced out one window and toward the direction of the silo.”I don’t think they wanted to hurt us, either. If they wanted to, we would have been squeezed back there.”The girls nodded.”Plus I don’t want to upset them. I don’t want the girls get hurt again.”

Igneous just snorted in reply. Not saying anything, the family weren’t satisfied, but it will have to do. The family decided to turn in for the night, Inkie and Blinkie rather excited for the upcoming tomorrow.

Unknown to all, the incident tomorrow will be cleared by someone.

Chapter 5 : Violent Trauma

View Online

A Bagon cried softly as it trudged through the rain. It’s been on the move for days, weeks, months? The Bagon had lost count a long time ago.

“Mommy....”The little female Bagon sobbed quietly as she walked in the rain.”Why did you leave me?”

The few days from before had been hell on her. She didn’t know what happened when she seems to be locked in a box for a few days before opened up again to reveal a forest that she didn’t even know about. Surrounded by black suited humans she didn’t know, all wearing what appears to be a ski mask.

She stayed like that for a few hours, until a Salamance, her mother caused a commotion. At first, she had been relieved to see her mommy. She broke the cage and freed her daughter, and flew away as soon as the men fired a few bullets after the Salamence.

The Bagon was so happy to be with her mommy again, she expected to be going home soon. That plan was derailed when the Salamance mother began to lose altitude and crashed in a forest somewhere.

“Mommy, please wake up.”The Bagon begged, while continuously poking with her tiny hands.”Mommy?”

A groan sounded deep from the throat of the Salamance. She slowly opened her bleary eyes, until it layed on her daughter.”My child.....you’re safe.....”Her mother spoke with strained voice.”...I’m glad.”

“Mommy!”The Bagon cried happily and hugged her mother’s muzzle.”You’re okay!”

The Salamance chuckled, inadvertantly caused her to choke up some blood from her mouth.”....child! It seems, I won’t be able to last much longer.”

“Mommy!”The little Bagon cried out in shock from the blood that came out of her mother’s mouth.”What are you-“Her words died off when she saw that when the Salamance shifted slightly, she could see a bullet wound just below her neck.

Either way, this caused the Bagon to began sobbing softly after realizing her mother’s imminent predicament.”Why?”

The Salamance knew that by all accounts, she shouldn’t be able to fly at all, let alone forcing herself to do it. It was either that, or risking her child safety.

“It’s what a mother would do....protecting their child. Even at the cost of their lives.”The Salamance smiled, trying to make her little daughter be more optimistic.

“Please don’t leave me, mommy. Not until I can beat you!”The Bagon stated while tears began to spill. She already knew what her mommy going to experience in a few minutes. He hugged her side.

The Salamance draped a wing on her.”You will child, you will become strong. I am sure of that.”She coughed up more blood.”Promise me, don’t stop becoming stronger.”

“Mommy.....”

“Don’t worry child, I will always be by your side, and I-“She suddenly cut off, by the violent cough, more blood came.

“Mommy!”She tried to think of something to help, anything, but it was all in vain when she heard a forced breath. Her eyes travelled to see her mother apply one more serene smile for her child as she softly closed her eyes.

Silence, until the Bagon cut it.”Mommy?”No answer.”Mommy?”Once again, no answer.”Mommy.....?”She knew what happened, she just stood there, staring at the lifeless form of her mother, her one wing still draped over the child like a mother would even if she’s dying. A soft sob is heard afterwards.

Her train of thoughts were cut off when she slipped on a rock. The result caused her to trip and roll down a small hill, unfortunately landing on her jaw causing her to cry out in pain.

It took her a few minutes for the pain to die down and got up on her feet again, tears visible on the corner of her eyes. She’s surprised to find that she’s staring at the back of a house. The Bagon stared up at the sky to see the moonlight trying to penetrate through the cloud, she decided to get there to get some rest.

After crawling through below the wooden fence from where the ground caved in a little. The backyard seems to be quite small. It’s also seems to quite plain, except there’s a just a single tree with a swing attached to a branch.

After a little looking around, she spotted a hole in the wall of the house, near the right corner. Seeing as there nothing else in to sleep in, she made her way over and crawled into it. When she’s inside, she felt the tingling sound of some coins in here. Other than that, the hole is actually big enough to house a Galvantula.

“I can’t sleep like this.”She used her tail to sweep the coins aside, until finally satisfied enough to close her eyes.”Mommy....”She muttered, sobbing softly again, until sleep took over.

“MOTHER!”Sally jolted awake, sweats coupled with hyperventilation. She had....another nightmare again. The nightmare of that day that changed her life forever.

She stared at the wall ahead of her in shock, not moving for a full two minutes, hyperventilating still. The Dragon Pokémon couldn’t move, she didn’t even dare try to move a muscle, as if out of fear that something in the dark is out to get her.

Once she actually calmed down enough. She put one leg to her forehead in order to wipe off the sweat now covering her body.

“Was it all a dream?”She muttered to herself.”A dream within a dream?”

Suddenly something lander on her shoulder. She flinched and tried to bat it away.”Easy girl, easy!”She recognized the voice. It was Eric.

“Eric?”She turned her head to her side, Eric had woken up with the bleary eyed expression on his face. Still a Hydreigon. Here she thought that it was all a dream, she was wrong. What happened earlier had really happened.

“Having the same nightmare again?”Sally nodded hesitantly in confirmation.

Eric had known Sally for a long time. He essentially knew her needs, her behaviour, her voice, her , but out of all of them, Eric had known Sally had a PTSD case or post-traumatic stress disorder. It happens when she was a child, he had the news after a few days later of finding Sally that a dead body of Salamence is found on the road.

He concluded that the poor thing must’ve witnessed the dead of her mother. It was certainly a traumatic experience, especially to the eyes of a pokémon child.

“What’s going on?”Helen asked, head tilting up in question.

“Nothing...just go back to sleep, Helen. I’ll take care of Sally.”Eric ordered, unintentionally raising his voice.

“Did Sally have nightmares again?”Helen asked while raising one of her eyebrows.

“Yeah,”Eric replied before turning to look at Helen.”Look, just go back to sleep, Helen. I’ll take care of it.”

Helen sighed. She’ll deal with it tomorrow.”As you wish, Eric.”The Serperior instantly went back to dreamland.

Eric began to soothingly rub one of his head back and fro on her back.”There, there. Relax, Sally. Everything is fine!”

Everytime the Salamence had a nightmare, she had to resist from her dam bursting and crying onto Eric’s chest while he comforted her.

“When will it stop?”Eric gave her a bewildered look while tilting his head.”The nightmares, I mean.”

That’s one of the questions that Eric couldn’t answer. He might know a lot about pokémon, but he’s no psychologist. Knowing enough to know about PTSD case.”I don’t know. I’m no psychologist.”

Sally’s head downed at the news. That is until Eric spoke again.”I think that there’s moment within our lives that will forever be remembered. Either good or bad. No matter how hard you try, you couldn’t forget it. I will always come back to haunt you.”

The news only gave her more dread.“Then, what should I do?”Sally asked. She wanted to get rid of the ghost of her past that always haunted her to this day.

The Brutal Pokémon-turned human silenced for a moment before speaking again.” I don’t know, but if you have any more trouble with the nightmares just tell me or anyone else, okay?”The Salamence nodded. Eric satisfied for now.

“Just try to sleep, Sally. And hope the nightmare doesn’t come back.”She was reluctant to fall asleep again, but doing nothing until morning doesn’t bode well for her energy for tomorrow either.

Sally reluctantly decided to try sleeping again. Before she fell asleep again, she heard Eric spoke again.”You know that I’m here Sally. Me, Helen, Larry, Ricky, Will, and Silas. You can’t keep your past a secret forever. It’ll only burden yourself.”

Sally sighed, knowing Eric is correct.”I know....just give me some more time. I’m not ready yet.”

Eric wasn’t all that satisfied with the answer. It will have to do for now.”Allright, if you say so.”Eric’s head propped up on her side again.”You know, if Larry was here, he’ll probably chew your out for being such a downer. Even if it means making fun of you again.”

Eric only heard Sally chuckled.”I know....”Before both quickly falling asleep again toward the dreamland.

It hadn’t been one of the best sleeps for the tiny Bagon, but she had been in worst place. Such as sleeping in a bush, sleeping out in the rain, etc. At least, she didn’t get caught in the rain when sleeping in here. The Bagon about to leave the space within the hole, until a human face of a boy with chocolate brown hair crouched over the hole and stared at her from outside the hole.

“Huh, what are you doing in my secret stash?”She froze, before her brain caught up with her and caused her to scramble back further into the wall.

“Easy there, I’m not going to hurt you!”The young boy put defensively, but the little Bagon just tried to remain as small as possible.

“My name is Eric!”The boy asked with a smile."What's yours?"

“B-bagon!” ; ‘I-I won’t tell my name to strangers.’

“Bagon, huh? Haven’t heard a pokémon like that before. Are you native to this region?”Eric smaked his head.”Of course, I’ll probably won’t understand you. Look, take it easy, I’m trying to help you.”

“Ba, ba, gon, bagon.”She curled up while tried to stay away from the human as far as possible. ‘P-p-please, stay away.’

Eric considered trying to reach for her again as it just going to scare her away, anyway. So, he did the only thing he could, he left, heading back into his house through the back door. He glanced at the small alcove where the Bagon was hiding, he just chuckled before heading inside again.

“Ba, Bagon!”; ‘ I’m safe.’ She sighed in relief, that is until the boy left through the back door again. He appears to be carrying some kind of plate. The tiny Bagon scrambled as far back again.

The boy headed to the small alcove before stopping in front of it.“You look hungry, maybe this will help you!”The boy smiled, putting the plates of berries.”Knock yourself out, Bagon.”Without another words, he left.

After a while, after making sure that it’s safe, she stepped out. Eyeing the plate of berries, Either way, she’s hungry so she started nibbling on the. Her taste buds exploded, and began eating vigorously. The boy, Eric, heard the crunching sound from the window above the hole, satisfied that at least the Bagon had eaten something.

The days have passed, weeks, the same routine happened every day for the Bagon and Eric. The young boy would always come back to her hiding spot and gave her some random amount, but still generous amount of berries of many kinds.

Still, that’s enough to satiate her hunger at least. As those days passed, she began to actually get out of her hiding spot and greet him with a cheerful cry, finally letting her guard down around him once sure that he won’t harm her or associated with those bad humans.

Eric would actually at times sat beside her hiding spot and tell her a story. Stories about his life in school and such, the Bagon actually finding that listening to his story seems to be quite refreshing as she always stayed in place without anything to do.

“He’s so kind, like mommy.”Bagon murmurred as she happily nibbled on her berries that Eric left just now.

The female Bagon happily munched without a care in the world. In her mind is now only how delicious these Berries that Eric gave, and somehow she also seemed to be much more healthier with each one she ate.

“So delicious, I could-“Her words were cut off when a muffled sound of crash came from the house.

“What was that?”Bagon muttered a question to herself. She tried to go back to her hideout until she could see an unknown woman seems to be running past the window from something. It’s revealed to be a few men in balaclava running after her. “What? More bad guys!”

The Bagon spotted those bad man that chased Eric. She knew that she should escaped, and she did, quickly running away. She stopped as quickly as a bird in it’s emergency landing because she remembered Eric. The human who found her and gave her food.

The Bagon knew that common sense told her that she should escape, but in her heart, she felt she couldn’t just leave Eric behind. She pondered her choice in silence, a minute have passed. Her eyes shone with determination while wiping some tears away from remembering her mother words, 'always repay those that help you.'

“I cannot abandon Eric, I can’t.”She ran back with her tiny little feet.”Not after he after his kindness.”

Being a kid is always bordered on curiosity, being a pokémon doesn’t always help either despite being sapient, they’re curious bunch of creatures.

Against her better judgement, she walked to the house. The house back door, of course, is huge, at least to a Bagon’s eye. She tried to push it open with little strength.”Huh, won’t open?”She tried to put more strenght into it, but her tiny Bagon body doesn not help. She eventually got tired.

“I’m tired.”The Bagon whined while resting her back on the door.”Now how am I suppose to-“Her words are cut off again as she tumbled inside when her back happen to be leaning against a door made for quadrapled pokémon.

“Owww, that hurts.”The Bagon got up, observing the familiar house that she once sneaked in upon in search for food.”Time to find Eric.”

“Please, don’t hurt my mom!”Eric cried desperately.

“SHUT UP!”A man in balaclava shouted in retort before pushing the gun harder against the kneeing boy’s skull. Two Roggenrollas flanked a Espon, who hissed at them while laying on his side after being surprise attacked. The gem gleaming threateningly on it’s forehead.

“You good for nothing, robbers. Get off me!”An attractive woman in her mid-thirties wearing a red blouse with flowing blond hair reaching down her back and apron appeared from one of the hallway where she gone off the get the phone earlier. She’s being held by two more robbers.

The robbers forcefully shoved her onto the ground, she tried to lash out again only to be pushed down onto the floor entirely. A man shoving another gun into the back of her head.

“Now, why don’t you tell us where the goods are?”The man in balaclava beside Eric’s mom asked, his grin wouldn’t have been visible behind the balaclava.

His mother remained quiet. Before a cocking of a gun is heard, the men forced her to look at the kneeing Eric while he whimpered.”I ask again, where the goods you kept, bitch?”

“No, don’t hurt my son!”Eric’s mother pleaded.

“Then you’ll tell us, or I won’t guarentee his safety!”The man behind Eric threatened while slowly pulling the trigger.

Eric’s mother nearly screamed.”No, no, the family jewels is in the safe behind a wardrobe on the second floor bedroom.

The two men beside her proceeded to cuff her up.”Now, that’s better not be a nonse-“

“BAGON!”All the men, except the one in the back turned around to see that one of their member got headbutted in the....bane of all male in existance, causing him to bend to his knees in pain while holding his wounded pride. That one member is the one guarding Eric.

The tiny pokémon didn’t let up, she suddenly breathed ‘Dragon Breath’ on the pair of Roggenrollas. They were too surprised to react properly and can’t defend themselves as the dragon fire washed over them, before another ‘Headbutt’ sent one flying to a wall, knocking it out. The other tried to retaliate with a ‘Headbutt’ of it’s own, but Bagon skillfully stepped aside and tripped it with her feet, causing it to crash to a table.

Before she could do more, she suddenly grabbed on the tail and held upside down by one of the bad man in the balaclava.”You stupid little Bagon, I ought to sell you to a pokémon collectors.

“B-Bagon!”; ‘No, please no. I can’t go back to that bad place.’

Somehow the man could hear the distress in her voice.”Ha, beg all you want, I bet you’re scales are going to make a nice clothing.”

“Ba, Bagon!” ; ‘No, please, mommy!’

“Shut up, you miserable little-“A dull thud sounded. Silence....then the men fell over, revealing the woman that got chased a little while, holding a book.

The tiny female Bagon fell and rolled on the floor, coming to a stop somewhere on the floor. She got up with a groan, witnessing that all the men were all knocked unconscoius. One Espeon standing triumphtly between another bad man and another Roggenrolla. They were all knocked out when Bagon distracted them, she figured.

”Bagon!” ; ’Whoa!’

“Bagon?”Eric came over from where he was sitting earlier.”You come and save us!”Before the tiny Bagon could react, he scooped her up and hugged her, muttering thank you.

“So, that’s how the supply of berries are disappearing.”Her mother said with a stern voice.”You gave them to this Bagon haven’t you, young man?”

He still hugged the gasping Bagon to his chest when he muttered an apology.”Sorry, mom, but I found her outside, drenched in rain. I couldn’t just leave her when she seems hungry.”

Eric stayed quiet, expecting some lashing to appear any time soon. Silence....silence, nothing happened. He just stared at his mom, still waiting for anything, just anything to appear because this is getting awkward to him and the Bagon.

His mother smiled so wide that it almost literally split her face.”I couldn’t be more prouder of you!”

“Huh?”Questions filling his head.

“You take care of a distressed Pokémon. Not many kids are willing to do that.”

“Huh? What do you know?”Bagon heard the whole thing and shrugged.

Eric pondered a few things, Bagon just saved him, his mother and Herdier. Eric grew fonder of the Bagon these last few weeks. In fact, if it weren’t for her, the situation could’ve gotten worse. He’s been taking care of her for a few weeks, just like one of those trainers would. So, he dreaded this one question that he’s been meaning to ask for a while to his mom.“Can I keep her mom? I promise I’ll take good care of her!”

Her mother’s grin threatening to split her face in half.”Why not? You’ve taken care of her this few weeks, then I’m sure you could take care of her for years to come. Plus, that makes her a new part of the family.”

“Really?”Her mom nodded, Eric turned her around so he could see her face before hugging Bagon to his chest again.”You hear that, Bagon, we’re going to be best of friends!”The Herdier from before also barked happily

“Bagon!”She cried happily. Yay! I’m Eric’s new friend and he’ll give me more berries.

“What should I name you? I don’t want to keep calling you Bagon. What to name, what to name....”

“That’s up for you to decide, Eric!”She stared at the men in the balaclava around the floor of the living room.”If you’ll excuse me, I’ll call the police that take care of these robbers first.”Eric’s mother went off somewhere into the house without another word.

“I’ll name you....wait are you a girl?"The Bagon answered with a nod and happy smile.

Eric stared at her eyes just for a second before making his decision."...Sally! Sally the Bagon. I’m sure you’ll grow and evolve into a big strong pokémon one day.”

Eric couldn’t help, but grin in ecstasy. Before he could continue further the temperature seems to suddenly drop a few degrees. He shakes involuntarily, while holding Sally close to his chest. Eric is a boy who never believe in ghost, except ghost-type pokémons, of course. Other than that, he doesn’t believe it. Not at all.

So, the sight of seeing a transparent Salamance. He tried to scream, but he’s seems to be too freaked out, evident by squeezing Bagon even more. Sally couldn’t see anything because her back is to the ghost.

It muttered two sentence. Two sentences that enough for Eric to carry it out.”Thank you. Please, take care of my daughter.”The ghostly Salamance smiled, closing her eyes and fading away. Eric is....silenced, and couldn’t help but think if this is a hallucination or not. He rubbed his eyes, opening it again to witness.....nothing. He looked around to no avail, he shrugged.

Sally wouldn’t trade Eric for anyone else, not even another human from that day onward.

“You’re going to need a bath, Sally!”Eric cried, and so began the first bath of Sally and many more after that.

Sally couldn’t help, but cringe. Having a bad feeling when Eric said the word ‘bath’.

One of the very few times in the life and times of Sally the Salamence that she had actually smiled hin her sleep.”Eric....”And one of the few times she witnessed a shooting dream.

Meanwhile, in the distance within Canterlot Castle. Luna smiled at her handiwork. She had altered the pokémon’s dream a little so instead of nightmares, she would experience one of her happiest memory. Luna is rather hesitant to make an appearance in her dream for fear of her lashing out and ejecting her from the dream.

Regardless, she had finished her job. Now she moved on to hundreds more dream that had recently appeared.

“Eric?”The Hydreigon could feel the prodding on his belly. He tried to bat it away, only for it to return.

Eric opened one blurred eyes, to reveal a green and white snakelike figure in front of him.”Eric, it’s time to wake up.”He knew the voice to be Helen’s.

Rubbing his eyes, Eric stretched out his arms above his head.”Alright, alright. Be up in a jiffy.”After the stretching he let out a yawn when he stretched out his back. A satisfying crack followed.”Ahhhh, much better.”

Helen decided that this time“How is she, Eric?”Eric stared at her. Any trace of sleep suddenly gone from his eyes.”The nightmares, I mean.”

Eric shrugged, not knowing how to answer that one.”She’s....fine, I guess.”However, Sally is anything, but fine....in her case.

Helen slithered over to the slumbering Salamence with pity in her eyes.”Somethings are truly hard to be forgotten.”

“I know....”He shooked his head. He knew they couldn’t afford to think about that now.”Let’s wake her up.”

Helen and Eric prodded the Salamence’s side.”Sally?”No response. Eric knew that she always a heavy sleeper.”C’mon, girl. Wake up!”Still no response. Only just some soft snores coming out of her throat.

Eric starting consider tickling her soft belly right now.”Uhhh....Larry, I’m going to toss you!”Sally mumbled, her wings stirring up. Both trainer and Serperior stared at each other in bewilderment. What was Sally dreaming right now?

The sharp ears of the Serperior heard a door opening. She turned her head to see a pony by the door, it was Igneous.”So you’re awake.”Eric, hearing the voice, also doing a spin to face him.

Helen remained calm as always as the pony adressed them, Eric was getting nerveous by the glare that’s being received from the said pony, but remaining stoic.”I know you two can understand me. I’ll lay out some ground rules here.”

The Serperior just raised an eyebrow alongside Eric.”First, you are not to go anywhere during nightfall. I don’t want anypony roaming the place at night.”

“Sounds reasonable.”The pony wouldn’t understand what she said, but Eric did.

“Second, don’t try to steal anything.”Igneous stated. The Hydreigon and Serperior sweat dropped. Why on earth would they even tried to steal anything, they weren’t that low.

Eric tried to speak, but closed his mouth, knowing he wouldn’t understand what he said anyway.”Third,”He took a menacing step forward. It would have been menacing if the one he’s adressing is a bit shorter than him.”Hurt any of my daughter or husband

“Fourth, you’re not staying here for free.”Igneous stated, feeling a little bit of smugness on this fourth rule.”You three have to work to earn your keep.”

Helen and Eric stared at each other, trying to process this all in. The rules were all reasonably sound, no one would want a stranger roaming the place at night or stealing any of their stuff. The third rule, they never wanted to hurt anyone so that’s checked out. The fourth rule, however, requires them to work.

Eric tried to consider the possibilities. They didn’t have anywhere to stay right now and they were the only one who currently understood them. If they fly everywhere looking for a place to stay, there’s a chance the local population of ponies would panic. Eric decided that it’s the best time for work. There’s a plus that his team would get workouts, instead of full-blown training in the field that would get the family a fit.

Helen and Eric went out of the thinking mode when a stomp is heard.”Hey, are you listening?”Eric nodded alongside Helen.”Good, that means you’ll work as soon as breakfast finished.”He turned around and exited without another word.

The Hydreigon broke the ice.”Whoa, grumpy old grandpa there, huh?”Helen sighed.

“So,”The voice caused their heads to turn. Sally rubbed her eyes to get rid of the blur.”We have to work?”

“Seems so.”The Salamence got up, stretching her back until a pop is heard.”Are you sure about this, Eric?”

“It’ll be good workout for you two. We still have to do some training, so instead of blasting each other, it’ll be a workout instead. I don’t want the family having a fit when there’a crater in the field.”Eric remembered the time where during training his team accidentally blew up a meadow and left a sizable crater. He didn’t want that to happen.

”Besides, we don’t have anywhere else to stay right now. Don’t want to cause panic when travelling everywhere. And I think grumpy old grandpa there would pay us.”He put his heads into his pocket for emphasis and pulling it out to reveal wallet full of Pokedollars. Apperantly, it was transported alongside his jacket.”I don’t have this world’s currency.”

Sally sighed. All those hard earned money from battling and saving not having any kind of use in the end.”Guess, we don’t have much of a choice, huh?”

“No, we’re not.”Helen answered.”Eric’s right, we do need some form of workout so none of us would slack off. That and the fact, that Eric still needed to get used to his body so he wouldn’t accidentally blast us with Hyper Voice again.”

Eric grinned nerveously while fidgeting.”Guess I am.”

Sally grinned deviously.”It seems we need work on your forms, Eric! Be prepared for training.”Eric groaned. This is going to be one of those days.

“We decided to work here?”Cloudy questioned. Helen, Eric and Sally nodded.

After getting rid of the morning bed head, the three headed straight for the Pie Family house for their usual breakfast. This time, Helen had the courtesy to write to the family not to include flowers or any sort of vegetables into Sally and Eric’s breakfast.

At this time, Helen wrote the fact that Eric alongside Sally agreed to work for them for the duration of their stay while they were eating.

Provided the Cloudy also pay them, of course. They didn’t want to work for free either regardless if they stay here like a boarding house or something like that.

Cloudy looked over at the them again. These pokémon’s seems to be strong enough to help around the farm. But considering their physiology, like Helen having no arm, but those vines. Eric having three mouths instead to hold things and Sally could only hold things with her mouth. She have a hard time believing that they could work efficiently even if they work together.

“But,”Helen was about to wrote something when the mare cut her off.”How are you going to work. Your body seems.....not suited for mine work.”

Helen wrote her short reply. We can handle it, ma’am. Just point us in the right direction.

“How?”

A snort cut in.”Cloudy, if they want to work, that’s fine. If they want to stay, they have to work.”

“Me and Blinkie can show them around!”Inkie offered excitedly.

“Great idea, Inkie!”Blinkie agreed.

Cloudy sighed, guess she just have to go along with this. No doubt in her mind that her husband put them up to this.”If that’s what you all wanted.”She was only met by a nod from Eric behind Helen.

Helen glanced at Eric who gave her a simple.”Hydreigon.”

The Regal Pokémon wrote her reply. Right now if possible. We want to finish as soon as possible.

Cloudy chuckled.”Not until you finish your breakfast. It doesn’t comes free.”

We plan to, ma’am. The conversation ended and they continued their breakfast in another awkward silence like yesterday.

“Do you need pickaxes?”Cloudy asked them before setting them off toward the field alongside her daughters.

No need, ma’am. We have our ways. Helen replied vaguely. She glanced over at Eric thinking for a few seconds before writing another reply on the paper. We will need one pickaxe, though.

“I thought you could handle it?”Cloudy asked with a frown. Hoping that their previous reply weren’t just made up beliefs that they could handle rock farming work without the proper tools.

We could, but Eric as I mentioned is not like us a few days ago. He still needed to get used to his new body, ma'am. Helen explained.

Cloudy just sighed. Things are just going to get complicated if she push on, so she decided to just let it go for now.“If you say so,”The mare turned toward the twins who waited by the doorway.”Inkie, Blinkie, show them the ropes. And get one pickaxe.”

“Okay, mom!”Both answered simultenously.

“Good luck! Don’t try to overdo it out there. Just find some crystals and dumb them in the center of the field. Inkie and Blinkie will take care of it later.”Helen nodded before slithering outside to his awaiting trainer and friend followed by Inkie and Blinkie.

Helen slithered over to them.”What took you so long, Helen?”

“Just adding some finishing touches. Seems you will need a pickaxe, Eric.”

“Why do I need a pickaxe for?”Sally just stared at him with a deadpan expression. Not believing he didn’t notice. Helen sighed with a bemused expression.

“I seriously needed to get used to this body.”He said to himself as he wiped a sweat off his brows.

The three pokémon have already worked for a while when Inkie and Blinkie showed to the fields closest to the tree line. Seeing as there less rocks to work here, they decided that this is the best place for rookie rock miner.

As soon as they were left alone at the edge of the wasteland, Sally were breaking rocks like no tomorrow using her Brick Break move that she had learned from a tutor the one that requires an outrageous amount of shard that he bought in Join Avenue to teach her. Helen cutting apart rock with such precision that could be found in a professional diamond cutter using her Leaf Blade by the tail. The two were barely even breaking a sweat, meanwhile were struggling just not to have one of his six wings lock up.

On top of that, Eric doesn’t know how to properly use his moves. Sally did promise to teach him later on when they have the time. The only thing he performed, although accidentally is a ultra-powerful Hyper Voice when he panicked.

Overall, he had to use a pickaxe. It was awkward having to hold it using his arm heads mouth. It would have been weird if anyone saw the usual fierce and aggresive Hydreigon mined a rock....using a pickaxe.

Eric got rid of the disturbing thoughts as he went back toward, slamming the pointy end toward the rock.”I wish I was at least a Psychic-type now.”He said absentmindedly.

The Hydreigon noticed the slight ‘ting’ sound, implying he struck gold on some crystals. That is until he lay his eyes on said crystal. He recognized the color, but there’s also pattern on it, only the center part was visible. It was bright yellow in color with the patterns seems to zig zag like a lightning bolt

“What the?”He seems to regain some vigor as he mined what he already think it is. After several strikes later, he lay eyes on something very familiar as he picked it up.”What the hell!? How-“His thoughts were interrupted when a shout came into his ears.

“ERIC! I FOUND SOMETHING. YOU’RE NOT GONNA BELIEVE THIS!”Helen bounded over to him.

He quickly turned around, seeing Sally with something in her mouth. “Ah, ound omething.”Her speech slurred from the thing she’s holding in her mouth.

Helen moved to join up with them. Eric spotted she also held something coiled by one of her vines. It was also something that he couldn’t belive that he’s seeing in this place. Judging from the looks on their face, they were also surprised when he held the stone he found earlier.

“Is that....a Thunder Stone you hold?“The Serperior started. Disbelief is all over her face.

Eric stated with a dumbfounded tone.”Uh-huh....and is that a Salamencite?”Helen nodded slowly and judging from the small amount of wire attached, it used to belong to someone. They have a pretty good idea who it is, though because it was Sally's. Eric had forgotten that Sally had lost the Salamencite when they arrived here.

Both of them glanced at Sally who dropped the third stone from her mouth.“I found them when I was mining. It’s a Dusk Stone, Eric.”Sally stated.

Eric put one free arm head to his main head.”Please tell me, I’m just hallucinating from overwork here because these stones weren’t supposed to be found in this world.”

“We did work for a while.”Helen looked toward the sun, it was high up now.”It’s getting close to noon. I didn't realize we've worked for quite awhile.”

“Forget about that, what are we going to do with these stones?”Sally cut in.

Helen put a vine on her chin in thought.“There bound to be more around here. To think that we would discover some Evolution Stones or a Mega Stone.”

“You know what,”Eric mumbled with frustrations in his tone. “Sally hold onto the Salamencite for now. I’ll think of something to deal with this new discovery.”

“I can’t mega evolve, Eric. Not without a Keystone at least.”Sally replied.”Besides, the wire is too small for me to hold it. I can’t exactly hold it in my mouth forever.”

“I know that.”Eric held out his right arm head with a mouth open. Leaning down to grab it off the ground.”I’ll hold onto it for now, since Mega Stones are more rare than normal Evolution Stones. I’ll pocket the Salamencite. We’ll probably need it later.”Once securing it with the arm head mouth, he pocketed it without another word.

“What about the two other stones, Eric?”Helen questioned with a tilt of her head.

“How about you hold onto it for now, Helen.“The Serperior nodded. With one additional vine coming out from the back of her neck inside, she pocketed it inside her....wherever the vines came from which is from the peeled-banana looking clothing where her head sticks out.

“Now then, let’s-“It was then that universe decided to gloriously interrupt their conversation with a loud explosion. A very loud and big one as a matter of fact.

BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

“WAAAAAHHH!!!!”All three pokémon screamed as they were sent flying from the shockwave of the explosion. They hit the ground hard.

Dust kicked up following the explosion, with the area being a desolate wasteland doesn’t help matters. Dust and dust....they were everywhere in an instant following the gigantic explosion that would make a Wailord proud.

“What the hell was that?”Sally screamed out. Her ear fins slightly deafened from the explosion with a loud ringing sound.

Helen also experienced the same thing. With gritted teeth, she answered.”It appears to be a giant explosion a few miles from where we are now.”

“I know that.”Sally shook her head furiously to get rid of the deafness.“What I meant is what caused it!”The dragon tried to rub the dust of her eyes from the resulting kicked up dust.

The Serperior trying to shook the ringing sound from her ears and dust from her eyes while replying.”I don’t know, Sally. Are you injured?”

“Yeah! Just some ringing in my ear. Otherwise, I’m fine.”The Salamence looked over to the Serperior besides her, though for some reason she seems smaller though she didn’t pay it any heed.”What about you?”

“Like you, suffering a slight disorientation in my ears, but yes I’m fine.”Sally sighed.

“Eric, are you.....”It was a this moment that Sally couldn’t hear Eric said a word after the blast.”ERIC! WHERE ARE YOU!”

“Down here!”A muffled voice sounded out.”Geez, girl, don’t scream. My eardrums are blasted enough as it is.”Sally knew what would comes next judging from the direction of the voice.

Sally glanced downward. A Hydreigon raised one of his arms up.”I gave up, girl. Will you please get off me now?”Sally blushed from the position she’s in. It looks like as if she’s mounting him on the side.

For all the speed a Salamence is capable off, she scrambled backward, falling onto her butt as a result. She didn’t pay attention to it as Sally quickly apologized profusely, hoping that her trainer would understand the situation.

Helen sweat dropped at the scene. Eric was already floating when Sally stopped apologizing.”Okay, okay. No need for all that sorry.”Sally grinned nerveously. “Anyway, we should focus on the situation at hand, about the explosion earlier.”

“Should I do a quick check out?”Sally offered once more. She was after all one of the main scouts in the team.”You know, to make up for.....earlier?”

Both the former human and Regal Pokémon at this time decided to weight their options at the prospect of checking the explosion. Eric’s paranoia regarding his...secret has led them to avoid drawing a lot of attention to him or his team. Helen, out of all his team, recognized this. It was just a few seconds of waiting that Sally got her answer.

“No!”The Hydreigon and the Serperior simultenously answered.

Sally just raised a questioning red eyebrow.”What? I thought you wanted to check that....whatever caused the explosion."

“That’s exactly why I didn’t want to go right now!”Eric answered.

Helen nodded in confirmation.”Eric’s right, Sally. Judging by the size of the explosion, I have no doubt that a flock of investigations will follow.”

The Dragon Pokémon suddenly got the hint on what they’re saying.”So you mean...you want to avoid the planet authorities.”Sally understood now. Considering their....secret, Eric always wanted to avoid any kind of contact with any form of regional authorities.

“Right,”Helen cut in, finishing what Eric going to say.”What Eric meant is that investigation will soon follow by the local authorities. He wanted to check it out, but doing it later. Especially when no one’s around. “It wouldn’t help the situation when they spot a dragon-type pokémon flying to the side or around it. They could accuse you of doing the entire thing, especially when they would spot you after the explosion occured.”

That suddenly made sense to Sally. She always were admired Helen for her intelligence.”Huh, now that you mention it. You do have a point.”She glanced over at Eric who still stared at the direction of the explosion.”So what do you want us to do now, Eric?”

“For now, I guess, we just stay quiet. Watch things as they unfold.”He could hear some shouting behind him. Sighing, he told them.”Hopefully we can explain the whole thing to the family.”

Helen glanced backward, spotting some figures in the dust.”Do you think they would accuse us, Eric?”

“No way. We’re far away from the explosion. Besides, the old man..I mean, pony kept those eagle eyes on us.”Eric answered, while pointing to his own eyes for emphasis.

The coughing from the ponies were more pronounced now. Four figures stumbled through the dust and stopped right in front of a rather nerveous Hydreigon, a nonchalant Salamence and stoic Serperior.

Immediately, Igneous lay the blow.”Did you caused the explosion earlier?”The accusing tone in his voice is all, but visible.

Eric just shook his head wildly alongside Sally, Helen softly shook her head in response. Igneous weren’t satisfied.”Are you lying to me?”His eyes narrowed dangerously while stepping forward a little

“Dad, what’s with you?”Blinkie asked while stepping in front of her father.

Inkie stepped beside Blinkie.”Yeah, dad. You’re being grumpy ever since these guys have been staying with us. You couldn’t just accuse them of something.”

Igneous stared at his daughters for a few seconds before turning away with a snort. Three pokémons heard the whole thing. It wouldn’t take a genius to figure out that the old pony didn’t trust them one bit. Typical old farmer attitude, is what going on in their heads. Except the farmer are more of a miner of minerals rather than a livestock one.

Blinkie turned around with a nerveous grin on her face.”Sorry, for that. My dad is not exactly trusting of outsiders. He’s kind of old fashioned.”

Eric and Helen nodded in reply, gesturing that they accepted the apology. Cloudy Quartz wanted some explanation more than that.”Can you two explain what was that just now?”She gestured to the whole field.”And why some of the trees were uprooted and dust were all over the field?”

Helen tried to think of a way to reply. None came to mind at the moment, so she wrote on the ground. Let us take care of the mess first.

The mare looked up in confusion. Knowing that the Serperior probably just avoided the question.”What do you mean? Don’t change the topic.”

We do not know of the cause. She wrote in a curt reply.Any injuries, ma’am?

Cloudy shook her head. She was in the house after all, not taking the brunt of the explosion.”No, I’m fine.”She glanced over at her husband who looked away for some very obvoius reasons.”It seems my husband blamed you? I’m sorry about that. Inkie’s right about him being distrustful of outsiders.”

The Serperior wrote another reply. He did. I do not take offence of it. Helen gestured around the field where many rocks were blasted apart, some trees were uprooted, and even the bigger rock were uprooted if only a little. The dust were starting to dissipate as well, but still Let us care for the mess first.

Cloudy Quartz doesn’t know what’s going on anymore, so she decided to just heed the snake’s advice and clean the field up.”Fine,”She turned to face the girls.”Let’s get cleaning girls.”

It took no time for them to get started, but the process were quite tiring because of the state of the field. The family and pokémons are now wearing some cloth mask on their face as they work on the desolate field.

The twin sisters worked to quickly sort out the blasted rock, some were blown apart from the impact when the were sent flying, some releasing the deposit of minerals. Due to their knowledge of of all types of rocks, it lessened the time needed to get it done when they loaded them onto the carts.

Meanwhile, Cloudy Quartz and Igneous Rock tried to get rid of some of the uprooted trees by unloading them onto some carts. It took all their strength as earth ponies to work with the uprooted dead trees.

The pokémons just resolved to help in any way they can. Eric helped the twins sorting out the rocks by bringing it over to them, well as best as the arms heads could do feeling that he still needed to get used having a Hydreigon body Sally and Helen does the heavy lifting by putting the dead trees into the carts to be chopped up later when the time is right.

By the time, they’re done, the dust had already settled enough for them to get rid of the mask. They all regrouped together to report their work.

“Inkie, Blinkie, how’s the sorting work out?”Cloudy asked her two daughters.

“Done, mom.”Both replied simultenously. Feeling rather proud of their work.”Eric sure does help us a lot.”Eric rubbed his head to get rid of the sweat while grinning.

The mare nodded.”We have already done what we could then. Let’s bring all of this over to the-“Her words were cut off when a voice sounded in their heads.

“Greetings citizens of Equus, both old and new.” A voice resonates in the heads of the Pie family alongside their guest.

“What the hell!?”Sally yelled out in surprise. Eric glanced around in confusion while Helen remained calm like always while staring off somewhere.

”I am Lord Arceus, creator of the creatures that you have seen over the past few days. You have no reason to fear me for I come in peace.”

The shock that the Regal Pokémon experienced upon hearing the name ‘Arceus. Both Eric and Sally shared the same expression on their face.”....Arceus....”She mumbled.

“I am the one who brought the creatures you see to this world, they are known as Pokémon.”Eric immediately fell over onto his stomach. Sally suddenly snarled at nothing.

“I have my reasons for bringing them here, I will be holding a summit with the world's leaders so that they can help inform their citizens the best. For now I issue a warning; Even if some do not appear as such, the Pokémon are just as intelligent as any other creature that calls this world home. Since they are MY subjects I will not tolerate their mistreatment or abuse. Treat them as you would your own neighbor.”

Helen shook her head.“I thought he just a myth.....a myth!”The Serperior couldn’t believe it. Meanwhile, Eric trying to float again after his wings stopped working from shock.

“Pokemon who have awoken in this new world, do not seek to harm the natives of this world. To the pokemon that experienced certain... Changes... when you arrived; You are the ones who proved that not all of your kind deserved vengeful retribution, consider this your reward. To live new lives, free of the burdens of the old world, a chance to start anew. As sentient beings of varying intelligence, the laws of the respective countries you now reside in apply to you, and only those laws.”

The family just stared in shock, not knowing that each one of them were experiencing the same voice in their mind. Inkie and Blinkie ran around like a mad pony on the loose before ramming into each other, seeing pretty stars after that. Cloudy Quartz had her jaws dropped while Igneous trying his best to try and appear stoic, but inside he’s also doing his best not to panic.

“That is all for now, the Pokémon are not to be harmed simply out of spite. If you have any qualms with what I have done, I reside in a temple located within the Everfree forest and welcome all who would like to speak, or a pocket dimension outside of the space time continuum, so if any of you wish to face the sheer power of a god, feel free to come by.” If the pokémons instinct told them at this point is they could feel that the voice that spoke in their heads seems to have some strange satisfaction of showing off his powers.

Silence.....awkward silence followed for how many minutes, they don’t know. Some were shocked, some were surprised, and surprisingly, Sally were angered. They didn’t speak for many more minutes due to the brain malfunction from the information just drilled into it.

That is until Eric broke the silence with total of four words.”Huh, that....explains everything.”He stared dully before shooking his head, thinking that he might be hallucinating it. He stared at his loyal Serperior and Salamence.”Uhhh, did anyone hear the same voice in my head as well? Or am I just gone crazy?”Judging from their expression, he’s not the only one who heard it.

He waited for some response, slowly, the Serperior nodded while still staring at nothing. Sally followed curtly. The ponies didn’t respond, they wouldn’t understand what he said.

He sighed, the Hydreigon had hoped that he was hallucinating all of it.”Guess your theory was right, huh, Helen?”

Helen, hearing his voice, shook her head.”I never imagined that the theory would be correct.”The Serperior whispered back in reply, trying to believe everything the now revealed-to-be-real pokémon god. “It’s true that we’re not in our world anymore, then.”

“Yeah,”Eric nodded in solemn. In his years as a trainer, he certainly didn’t expect something like this to happen. Sure, he had expected something to blow up, battling against a champion or an unusually strong trainer. He even expected having an impromptu battle against a powerful legendary, but not this.

“What’s happens next, Eric?”Helen slithered over to her trainer.

Eric gave her a deadpan stare.”Me? I don’t have any backup for mass exodus situation like this. What about you?”

“Your our trainer, Eric. Whatever your decision, I’ll follow.”Helen answered with her usual stoic manner.”I’m only sticking my opinion when the plan seems disagreeable to our friends.”

The pokémon turned trainer just sweatdropped with a sigh. Helen is loyal, but she usually did stick her opinion to his plans when something off about it. Though, her willingness to follow his orders like a servant doesn’t help in this situation.

Eric began wracking his brains again for any course of action, followed by Helen. Eric is a man of strategy, always having a plan before a battle and a backup should it fail. This is one of those days that he’s actually stumped on what he should do. If Arceus did bring him, his team, and millions of tons of pokémon into this world, he would need explanation. Besides, he needed to ask him for the location of his teams and....his family.

“I think we need to have some more planning to do. The situation just got way off the charts this time.”

“That would have been an understatement.”Helen “Regardless, you’re right, Eric. We need to discuss the best course of actions for us.”

“I already have some plans of action, but.....”Eric noticed that Sally didn’t join in with their discussion. Usually, when some planning were needed before a battle, the team would gather. It was their ritual after all.”Where’s Sally?”Helen pointed with a vine behind him. He turned his head around to witness Sally staring at the sky, surprisingly, she let out a low growl.

Sally all this time just let out what could be seen as a silent snarl.”....Arceus....”

“Sally!?”Eric called out, she didn’t answer.”What are you doing? We’re suppose to do some planning together. Don’t be dillydallying, girl.”

The voice shook her out of her rage.”Uhh, yeah, I’ll be there in a sec.”She replied with a little stutter.

“Excuse me?”Both the Hydreigon and Serperior glanced toward the source of the voice. It was Cloudy Quartz.”What are you both discussed just now?”

The trainer and his pokémon stared at each other.”Think we should let them in on our plan, Eric?”

Eric shrugged, simply not caring anymore because of the absurdity of the situation.”Why not, things probably going to get weirder from here on out, anyway. The family’s got to know that we’re leaving to ask Arceus tomorrow anyway.”

“Then I shall inform them.”Helen slithered over to the family. They flinched back in reflex, though the Serperior didn’t notice this.

She let out a vine again and wrote on the ground. Discuss back in the house. Can’t write very well out here.

Cloudy sighed. This was getting to become one of those days. “I’ll get the quill and ink again.”With that the mare turned around.

Inkie suddenly cut in.”I’ll go clear up the house!”She chirped before galloping back to join her mother.

“Hey, wait for me!”Blinkie joined afterwards.

That only left the brown earth pony, who reluctantly left to join his family. All the while, he glared daggers at the pokémon who stared at him.

The Salamence still stared at the sky in rage, but just let it off for now. Turning around, she pose to join Eric once more with the ponies for a discussion regarding the impromptu worldwide exodus by Arceus. Leaving the seven carts behind filled with tons of trees and rocks.

“I’m not saying I disagree with him. It’s just that maybe that guy should warn us or something. Not comitting a mass exodus without anyone’s approval. “Eric argued.

After going back to the house, Eric and Helen immediately went back to their discussion of their future plans of action. The family of ponies were just staring at the two pokémon deep in their conversation while Sally stared through the window in the living room into the skies beyond the fields.

The family just stood aside while the two pokémon spoke to each other furiously in the living room. Waiting to actually cut in so they could be included in the conversation.

When the Serperior think about it, Eric does have a point. Arceus should made an effort to announce first.”It’s true, bad things tend to happen when you act on your own. I conclude that many would visit Arceus in a short time, disagreeing on his methods.”

Eric nodded.”That’s why I wanted to be first in line. Before others decided that they have some funny ideas.”

“I was exactly thinking the same thing, Eric.”Helen continued.“I wanted to know the reasons why he would do such things. “

Eric hummed in confirmation.”That’s our priority then. Our top priority should also asking him where he decided to drop off our team.....and mom and my bro.”

The snake noted the solemn tone in the voice.”Are you afraid that our friends and your family are not transported alongside us or are they fact that they’re somehow got hurt?”Eric nodded rather reluctantly. Helen put a vine onto his shoulder.”They’ll be fine. The on thing I know that our friends is lot more hardier thanks to your training, Eric.”

The Hydreigon got to admit, Helen does have a point. He trained them to win, not to lose.”Yeah, guess, I got worried for no reason. Though, I’m still worried about mom and my bro.”

The conversation were decidedly interrupted by a pony.“Uh excuse us, Mr.Snake.”Inkie put a hoof up while looking at them both. Eric and Helen turned their attention to the grey mare which caused her to become nerveous.”Can you let us in. We’re kinda out of it.”

Eric and Helen sweatdropped with a bemused expression from being mistaken again for a guy. They wished they could have a better means of communication than writing on a paper.”I missed Will already.”Eric mumbled through gritted teeth.

“Us both, Eric.”Regardless, the Serperior began writing on what they discussed earlier.

“What!”Inkie and Blinkie shouted.”You want to visit this Arceus guy?”

That’s right. We plan on doing it tomorrow.

Now that they think about it, the sun had already set. The excitement and work they had done before, they didn’t even bother checking the time. They were all surprised when seeing the sun goes down like that on the horizon.

“I’ll go with you, then.”The mare volunteered. Her family looked at her as if she’s grown a second head.”I wanted to meet this Arceus for something I need to ask as well.”

Are you sure, ma’am? Cloudy nodded in approval.

“Positive, I think you’ll need me to reassure that three imposing beings are strolling through town together. You’ll need some money to go back and forth too, am I right?”

Helen was surprised when she says that. She still had forgotten that their money worth nothing in this world. Ma’am, we don’t want to impose.

The mare frowned."Nonsense, I-"She was cut off when her husband whispered harshly into her ears.

“Cloudy, are you mad?”Igneous whispered harshly to his wife.

Her wife, in return, looked at her husband incrediously.”I’m not mad. I plan to visit this Arceus to ask some question.”She looked over to the pokémons in the living room glancing at her.”They also don’t have money to go back and forth around here.”

The stallion replied while gnashing his teeth together.”Two of them has wings. They could just fly.”

“They couldn’t, Sally could, but she couldn’t go back and forth carrying to passengers.”Cloudy put a hoof to her chin.”Come to think of it, Eric is also a former....what was it....hooman? He’s rather shaky with his flight.”The sound of Eric crashing from all the floating all day long is heard. Sally and Helen sweat dropped

“What’s with you, Igneous? You haven’t been acting like yourself.”The seaweed maned mare mentioned.

“Whatever...”He just turned around in an effort to avoid the subject.”Just go with them.”

“Mom, I want to go too!”Inkie suddenly started. Blinkie also nodded.”Pinkie is also in town, it’ll be a nice plus to visit her.”

“No, girls. Somepony has to watch the farm with your father for the day, in our age we couldn’t do it alone.”Before the girl could interrupt, she held a hoof.”We wanted to just have a talk with this ‘Arceus’. No reason for your sister to throw a party just for a short visit.”

When she said it like that, Cloudy does have a point. The girls nodded reluctantly, they still wanted to come.”Okay, whatever you say, mom.”

Cloudy smiled.”Don’t worry, I’ll tell you everything when we get home.”

Eric smiled at the family. It’s been a while since he had seen his mother or his brother for that matter. Sure he can connect with them through the Xtrainsceiver and the Holo Caster he had received during his time in Kalos, but it sure beats seeing them in person.

The Hydreigon couldn’t, but chuckle at his clichéd thought.“Can’t wait to ask Arceus about our friends and family.”

“Tomorrow will probably be quite interesting.”Helen smiled as she stared at the setting sun in the horizon through the windows of the living room alongside Eric.

Sally let out a low growl.”Yeah....interesting.”

Tomorrow would be the meeting with the gods, indeed.

Chapter 7 : In the Presence of Legendaries (Edited)

View Online

It was another beautiful day for Equestria. Barring the fact that some deep voice spoke in the heads of every sapient living thing on the planet, everything seems to be still going smoothly....for the most part.

Early this morning, a group consisting of three pokémon quickly woke up that morning except a certain Dragon Pokémon who had to be prodded multiple times before she had awaken. Nonetheless, the went with the original plan to go to this ‘Ponyville’ which is the closest to the forest where Arceus reside to meet him.

After breakfast, Cloudy, the mare who accompanied them, take them toward the station where a train would take them to Ponyville. The rest of the Pie Family remains back at home, just as discussed yesterday.

Unfortunately, the part where everything does not go smoothly seems to be best described for three pokémon and a mare currently standing before a train.

Said train is the Friendship Express, no less. A Hydreigon fell over again when the train pulled up the station. Even the normally stoic, and calm Helen is practically double sweat dropping at the ridiculous appearance of the train. Sally just stayed quiet like she did after the announcement yesterday.

“Are you kidding me!?”Eric raised his voice a little.”Do we really have to ride that thing?”

Even Helen admitted, that was kind of ridiculous for a train. The Serperior sighed. “We have no choice. Unless, we want to postpone the entire thing or just walk the rest of the way there.”

The Hydreigon eye twitched a little. He was just expecting a normal everyday train ride, not this....childish attraction that slowly took away his manliness. It seems Eric doesn’t have much of a choice if he’ still planning on meeting with Arceus in the so called ‘Everfree Forest’.

Eric just sighed in surrender. The day just keeps getting better and better for him. “Gah, screw this! Let’s just get this over with.”He promptly floated over to the train door where a conductor was waiting.

Said conductor flinched back from the three-headed beast in front of him. “Hydreigon?”; “What’s wrong?” The beast said, not knowing the cause of his distress while handing over his ticket bought by Cloudy who decided to come with them.

Helen sweatdropped again at Eric’s obliviousness. Eric can be so dense at times. Cloudy, the mare who came with them, decided that it was time to intervene.”Excuse me, sir, he just handing over the ticket to be checked out. The four of us are going to Ponyville.”

That snapped the conductor out of his fear.”O-oh, uhm, right! Hold on, a moment.”He snatched the conductor from the Hydreigon right head mouth.

After checking out the Hydreigon tickets. He handed the ticket over, with a smile he went into the train. Unintentionally, he hit his head on the doorway.”Hy, Hydreigon, Drei.” ; “Dammit, need to get used to have longer necks.” He said before going inside.

The conductor sighed in relief, that is until two more...beast is waiting behind the mare. One is a snake, while the other is a four legged dragon....thing. He gulped, while shakingly grabbed the mare ticket alongside two others who happens cannot properly hold their own ticket like the Hydreigon could.

After checking all three out, he gave them their tickets back. “Here’s your ticket, ma’am, and for your...friends.”He grinned nervously.

Cloudy nodded in confirmation after checking the ticket.“Thank you, sir.”The mare thanked the conductor who nodded his head rapidly before deciding to go somewhere.

Cloudy sighed, this was going to be a long day for her. She went into the train without another word. Followed by the Serperior and Salamance, all had to duck their heads to prevent hitting them like Eric did earlier.

With a whistle blown and train door closed, it took off, toward the town called Ponyville. Where their meeting with Arceus awaits them.

After the impromptu freakout by the conductor earlier, Eric just stared at the window while waiting for this ridiculous attraction of a train to end. He just bore with it, while Helen tried to without even looking out of place in the train.

“What do you think we will expect once we arrive there, Eric?”The Regal Pokémon stared out the window inside a moving train alongside her trainer, who happens to be a former human called Eric. Now, a Hydreigon.

Eric for his part just shrugged.”I don’t know. I just winging it out for this one since I don’t have plans for this...kind of meeting we’re about to have.”

The Serperior frowned. It wasn’t like Eric to come in guns blazing without a solid plan before. Or even a backup for that matter which he’s known for.”That was certainly concerning. You always came in with a plan.”

The Hydreigon just scoffed.”You can say that again, Helen. I was just hoping Arceus can answer some of our questions.”

He glanced at the Sally who just curled up on the aisle between chairs. She’s the most out of place look than the rest of the train, given her brooding.”Hey, Sally. Do you have any suggestions before we meet the supposed ‘Arceus’.”

Her answer was, of course, curt. Like she had done all this morning.”....no...”

“She’s been unusually curt than usual, huh, Helen?”Eric whispered while pointing at the direction of the Salamence.

“I see you noticed that too. I do admit that she’s been.....quiet.”Helen is the kind of Pokémon to always remember her friends personally

”What’s wrong with her?”Eric questioned. With a frown on his head.

The Serperior shook her head.”I don’t known. But I do notice she’s been like this since yesterday. Other than that, I didn’t notice anything.”

Eric is the only one who knew Sally the most. Given that Sally is Eric first unofficial Pokémon for him to have, he’s the one who knew her the most unlike the rest of the team.

“Arriving at Ponyville!”The conductor said, while peeking his head on the doorway before quickly setting off again out of fear.

“Huh, that was fast.”Eric stated, while finally witnessing the town of Ponyville for the first time. It was like witnessing a village in the medieval age come to life.

The train whistle blowed alongside the hiss of the engine as it came to a stop beside the station. Eric was glad he could get out of the death trap he called childish, Helen could say the same.

“Here we are, Ponyville.”Cloudy said after making out of the train.”The place where my other daughter lives alongside the Elements of Harmony.”

Helen raised an eyebrow, when she said that she had another daughter. But she just waved it off, it wasn’t a priority at the time. They could meet her at later time.

“What a quaint little town.”Helen commented. Though, she could certainly sees it’s charm. The nice village life, as well as clean air unlike that of a city back in their world.”Certainly, charmful.”

The Hydreigon, however, just ignored her and went straight toward trainer mode.”Alright, you know the drill. Sally, I want you to scout out the town like usual. If you see the forest, we’ll meet up there. At least try to remain inconspicuous this time.”

After, what Eric and his team had done in their....spare time, he was certainly rather paranoid of any contact of authorities. He even had Sally to frequently scout out towns first before anything else when they arrived at a new city for a challenge with the gym leader.

So now, he had done so again. Ordering one of his flying-types to scout out any town while having one to remain outside of a pokéball with him.

“...alright!”Sally headed out of the station. There are still not that many ponies considering that this is still early though, they wisely backed away from her. She spread her wings out in preparation for a take off.

“Hey,”Eric quickly stopped Sally before she took off.”Why are you have been unusually....curt. If you don’t want to come, you could just say that you wanted to stay, you know?”

Sally for her part didn’t say anything. It was as if the Salamance is in deep thought. Helen knew that the Dragon Pokémon is choosing her words carefully, else she would give something away to the rest of the company.

“I just wanted to make sure you’re safe that’s all, Eric.”Sally responded with another curt answer.”Even if I don’t like it, you’re my trainer. Keeping you and our friends safe is my first priority.”

Eric could notice that if any of his Pokémon is distressed, it is a trait that a trainer would pick during their journey around the world to leave their mark upon it. So now, he certainly could notice that Sally is hiding something when he heard it closely.

He might be dense, but when it concerns his team alongside their well beings, he would notice. Helen being one of the team brains, would also notice and inform Eric of this. Like a brother and sister would.

The Hydreigon wasn’t satisfied, but it will have to do for now.”Alright, you know you can tell me anything if there’s something wrong, right, girl?”

Sally looked down on the ground.”...I know....”The Salamence didn’t say anything otherwise.

Cloudy Quartz just stared at the spectacle just now. Worried that something might be going on between the two that just spoke in their language just now.”Is there something wrong?”The mare tried to take a step forward toward the dragon who’s about to take off.

A vine held her shoulder. She looked at the source, who happens to be Helen.”Serperior!” ; “Don’t.”The snake shook her head. And the dragon took off.

Whatever was going on between them, she wouldn’t understand, not without the proper writing materials anyway. If only she could understand all of them properly, maybe she could help with whatever Sally’s problem is. Cloudy had to admit, despite their fierce look, they were rather well-mannered creatures.

At least for the time being, they could understand her Equestrian language just fine. She would just have to deal with it.

“Well, if we don’t have anymore....trouble, I suggest we enter the town proper.”

“That would be a fine idea.”Helen agreed wholeheartedly, noticing that ponies are starting to stare at them.

Helen sighed, ever since the announcement, Sally was not the same. But she had the feeling that it would be revealed sooner than later. That alone is a bad omen. Her thoughts were jolted out of her head when Eric called for her.

Eric glanced at his Serperior.“Helen, you’re with me this time.”

“As you wish, Eric.”Helen nodded obediently, and slithered alongside Eric as they exited the station toward the town proper.

“Where do we go next?”The seaweed-maned mare asked, rather dumbly. Not knowing on where the forest is. Partly because she didn’t visit Ponyville that often despite one of her daughters living there.

Eric, for once, didn’t know where he should go.”Hy, Hydreigon!” ; ”I don’t know!”He answered instantly, while having a straight face.

Plus the fact, that ponies were staring at the group now is not helping. Though the couldn’t help, but stare at the giant snake and three-headed dragon slithering and floating alongside a mare. it’s not something Ponyvillians see everyday.

Helen just sweat dropped. This is what happens when they don’t have a solid plan like before.”I suggest we should try to head to the library. Maybe we could find more information, as well as the world we are in.”

“Well, that’s...actually a good idea.”Eric agreed. Internally glad that Helen could come up with a plan.”Arceus knows, we’ll probably going to need it if we’re staying here indefinitely.”

The mare like all the times before, is confused on what the two is discussing.”What? Did you two know where we are going next?”The two pokémon nodded at the question. That brought a smile.”Where do we go, then?”

Helen started making gestures again, this time it looks like as if she’s using her vine to open a non-existent book. The vines also make it looks like as if they’re books, her eyes staring intently at the vines.

“Books?”The mare questioned. The Serperior nodded.”You want to know where they sell books?”Two pokémon sweat dropped coupled with head shook.

“You mean, you want to know where they keep the books? Oh, the library, you mean?”The pokémon nodded.”Well, I know that this town has one, but I don’t know where it is.”

Helen pointed at her, then to another pony before making a ? sign. Those ponies happen to stare at them.”You want me to ask them?”Helen nodded again in confirmation. Thankful for the mare quick understanding about her gestures.”Alright, wait a moment, I’ll go ask.”

Eric whistled while looking at the mare. Rather impressed with her quick understanding.“Huh, still wondered how did she do that? Most of the time, I thought you just blabbing something in those pokéspeak.” Helen just stared at the back of his head with a deadpan expression. Remembering all those times, Eric couldn’t understand her gestures or what she’s saying. Only through Will’s telepathy could he actually understand.

The mare was speaking with a beige stallion who provided her with some direction toward the town library. The mare nodded in thanks which the stallion reply before going back toward her guest.”I know where it is. It’s this way”.Helen nodded back in thanks, they proceeded again toward their destination.

Along the way, the spotted some Luxray alongside a Flaffy, Sylveon, an Absol, and a yellow mare with a green as grass mane entering a ridiculous-looking gingerbread house, at least in Eric’s and Helen’s opinion. That Sylveon reminded him of his own Sylveon, Silas. Besides that, they arrived at the square where the town hall is also located in the center.

The walk wasn’t all that time consuming, considering a massive tree-like home sticks out like a sore thumb in the middle of the town. It was near the square where the gingerbread house is also located.

Cloudy, who lead the way, pointed toward the place where the public library is housed. A hollowed tree.”There it is, just like the stallion said, it’s right over there. The Golden Oaks Library.”

“Is that tree even alive?”Eric questioned. The tree reminded him of tree houses, only without the insides hollowed out.”I admit the name is good and all, but the tree is probably dead.”

The Regal Pokémon shooked her head. ”That’s unlikely, considering the tree still has live leaves on the branches.”

“How does that even work?” Eric whispered. “It’s physically impossible for a tree to be hollowed out and remains alive.”

Helen cut him off.”Perhaps we should just move on and forget it. Mrs.Quartz did say that this country ran on ‘magic’.”

The mare just stayed out of their conversation, not really understanding what they said. Nonetheless, Eric just couldn’t find any explanation for it, so he just brushed it off for the time being.

“What the hell!?”The Hydreigon cried out when he saw the signs. A sign that says it’s closed. “Why’s a public library closed in the day?”Eric complained while banging on the door. He stopped as it was useless.

“Perhaps the owner is away?”Helen added.”Wait, no, that’s impossible. A public library should have a shift even if the owner is away.”

Eric sighed. Helen was absolutely right, like always.”Yeah, you’re right. This day....is seriously getting worse. Not to mention what happens the two days before this. There goes finding information about this world.”Eric didn’t mention to the family, that he nearly got fried by the Pyroar, only to be saved by Sally who stood in front of him and Helen who smashed a Dragon Tail onto it’s head that he got saved. Just as it’s mate awaken from the previous knockout.

Though, Eric knew that Fire-types hardly do any damage against Dragon-types, he still flinched because he still acted like human.

Alongside, that he got bagged on the heads, got hit by an explosion, old grandpa watching them with suspicion. Most of all, he got separated from his team, alongside his brother and mother. Overall, the two days streak hasn’t been good for him or his team. He wanted to find them all, partly the reason why he wanted to quickly meet Arceus just so he could ask him their location.

Helen, sensing Eric’s distress, decided to just skip to the point.“Maybe we should just head straight toward the forest.”Helen replied while tilting her head.”I mean, since the library is closed, we should just get to the point on what we came here for.”

“Right, the library is a no-go. The forest it is, then.”The Hydreigon sighed. “What’s going to go wrong next?”

Unknown to him, something is about to go wrong again this day....again as a matter of fact.

After asking some questions here and there, many were staring nerveously at the giant snake and three-headed dragon, they arrived at the edge of the town. A path awaits to take them toward the Everfree Forest. Along the way, they all saw Sally doing some fly by on the forest skies after scouting out the town.

Just as expected, when she saw all of them she made a landing on the forest entrance, waiting for them. Eric and Helen went down the path and saw a rather massive apple orchard in the distance and also a cottage made out of another hollowed out of tree. The subject still sounded absurd to both Pokémons.

Their thoughts were cut off when Cloudy pointed at the forest where Sally awaits them in front.“There it is, the Everfree Forest.”Cloudy Quartz pointed at the menacing forest looming before them.”The forest is unnatural compared to the rest of Equestria here.”

Helen noted the reluctance in her voice, it was as if there’s something wrong with this place. Other than the appearance, it hardly made Eric or her flinch because they’ve been through enough forest already back on Earth. It looks like just some gnarled tree to them.

Nonetheless, it doesn’t matter at the time when Sally the Salamence is already awaiting for them at the entrance.”Hey...”She greeted curtly, this goes unnoticed only by the mare following the company.

“Hey, Sally, is there anything interesting on your survey up there?”Eric said while pointing up to the sky.

“By interesting, you mean, some kind of giant temple is in the middle of the forest? The one with the giant statues of legendaries on it?”Sally asked while raising an eyebrow.

“Uhh, yeah, that kind of thing.”Eric replied.”Why?”

“Then yeah, I bet my Salamencite that Arceus is right there.”

Helen also raised an eyebrow, when the Salamance mentioned this to them.”Some kind of giant temple? I couldn’t think of anything else in the forest where Arceus would stay.”She think that legendaries would want to remain incognito like back on Earth instead of just sticking out in the open. Arceus did invite anyone who want to speak with him.

“Well, that’s where we’re going.”He motioned everyone forward.”Let’s go!”He floated forward first, not noticing that Helen is left behind.

“Eric, wait!”The Serperior called out to both Eric and Sally. They turned their heads to see Helen by Cloudy’s side. Said mare seems to be frowning.

“It looks like Mrs.Quartz is distressed about something.”Helen replied.”About the forest perhaps. She did say it looks unnatural.”

“It looks like just another forest to me. What’s wrong with it?”Eric said, not noticing the mare’s distress. He was hardly scared going into forest, even at night. The only thing he found creepy is ghost-type pokémons.”C’mon, Helen. We don’t have time to dilly dallying around.”

Helen held up a vine as a sign to wait.”Hold on a moment!”The Serperior proceeded to prod the mare and tried to make gestures once more.

This time the gesture is by pointing to herself, Eric and Sally. After that, she pointed to her before making the pattern of a shield. In other words, the pokémons will protect her when she entered the forest alongside them.

“You’ll...protect me?”Helen nodded.”But the forest, it’s just....unnatural! It’s not safe.”

When Helen raised an eyebrow in question, the mare explained.”The Everfree Forest is different. Plant grows on their own, even the weather is unpredictable as well as the wildlife. The whole forest takes care of themselves, instead of being directed by ponies.”

In Helen’s mind, it sounded even more absurd that ponies could control nature freely in this world. While this ‘Everfree Forest’ sounded normal to her.”Serperior, perior” ; “Don’t worry, ma’am, we’ll still protect you.”The Regal Pokémon said in response while pointing to herself then to the mare.

“You all still want to go in?”The snake nodded again. The mare sighed.”If you say so. I’ll just go with all of you, then.”Helen sighed, she did warn the mare that she didn’t have to come with them yesterday. Now, she’s having cold feet or more like cold hooves just because of a forest.

“I just hope nothing happens while we’re in the forest.”The mare whispered to herself.

“Let’s go meet, Arceus, guys.”The Brutal Pokémon declared while marching toward.

“As you wish, Eric. Shall I lead the way?”He answered her by kept on marching forward first. Helen smiled, respecting her trainer for his courage at times.

The Dragon Pokémon nodded, but didn’t say anything again as they all marched into the forest. The mare sticking close behind them for protection.

The forest as Eric would say, is....creepy, but also nothing like he never seen before. He’s been through enough forest with team that it doesn’t even creep him out anymore. Besides, he always let out one of his pokémons out just to be safe.

Helen remained stoic and calm like always, Sally meanwhile, was unusually quiet. Though, the could hear her snarling at the air at times before. Nonetheless, she knew the way from the earlier aerial surveillance before, so she led the way.

The walk through the forest wasn’t all that bad in anypony’s opinion....it was also boring. Eric’s life is definitely full of excitement, with what he do in his...spare time. Cloudy warned them to avoid the blue patches of flower at times. When asked, she just replied.”You don’t want to know.” From that time, all three pokémon avoided those patches of blue flowers out of paranoia, especially Eric.

Finally, after the long walk, they managed to make it to a massive clearing which was cleared before to make way for a giant building with equally giant statues.

Helen felt it, she glanced at Sally who judging from the expression also felt this power. It’s the power of many legendary in one place.”Do you...?”

“Yeah, I feel it alright.”Sally replied.

Eric who was oblivious as always, but kept his eyes on the golem barring the entrance. They knew what they were. Regice, Registeel, and Regirock. They weren’t that tough in his opinion, Regigigas is the real threat in his eyes.”Guys, legendary golems over there! Battle stances!”

Sally and Helen didn’t need to be told twice. They instantly tensed up, and prepared to either attack or dodge. Cloudy was impressed, whatever the Hydreigon told the two caused them to actually prepare themselves, as if they had practiced this before.

Eric himself tensed up, but not preparing to attack. He largely still think like a human as mentioned before.”Prepare yourself!”The Hydreigon warned them. He slowly floated over to the golems.

“Eric, be careful!”Helen called out before slithering to him, followed by Sally.

Eric stopped before the legendary golems, this time expecting something to happen. His two team members stopped right behind him flanking right and left while Cloudy stayed behind them like always. Eric had waited for them to respond.....nothing......two minutes....nothing again.

The Brutal Pokémon have lost his patience, began waving his arm in front of a motionless Registeel.”Helloooo! Anybody home in there?”No response. He began banging an arm on the head of the Registeel. Helen knew it was a bad idea. But, it still didn’t elicit any response from them.

“Are these fakes?”Eric questioned while pointing one arm at the motionless Registeel.

Helen began prodding her mind again for answers.”There are several legendary golems statues that are almost look-alike. My guess is, these are fakes.”

“Guess whoever did this must’ve done a real good job, eh?”Eric chuckled.”Then, let’s just let oursel-“He was cut off when the Registeel made a sound. He turned around to see Registeel markings came to life all the sudden.“Gyaaahhh!”He floated backward and landed on his butt. Instantly, Sally and Helen stood in front of the Hydreigon. Flamethrower and Dragon Tail respectively prepared.

The mare peaked from behind Eric.“What’s wrong?”Cloudy questioned from behind them.”Are these...pokémons as well?”A nod came from Helen.

The rest of the trio came to life following their leader. They moved their arms, pointing toward them....but didn’t do anything. Eric was baffled at their response, he was expecting them to suddenly try to blast them with Hyper Beam or Giga Impact, his guess that those arms are going to use Hyper Beam sometime soon.“Are we supposed to speak something here?

Helen and Sally kept an eye on the Legendary Golems. They felt the power coming from all genderless golems, but not going to attack unless they attack first. Being the usual mediator, Helen spoke.”Excuse us, but does Arceus reside here?”After a few moments, a respond came by a nod from Registeel.

Helen responded.“Will you let us in? We wanted to speak with Arceus. He allowed all to come here to speak with him.”

They remained motionless for a few moment before they all lowered their arms. The gates behind them slowly swung inward before the trio stepped aside and motioned for all four to enter.

Eric huffed in annoyance at being surprised like that. He floated back up while dusting off his jacket.”Guess, we should let ourselves in, huh?”He floated between Sally and Helen and entered the halls beyond.

They all wasted no time to enter, followed by Cloudy, who followed behind the Pokémons to get away from the creepy-looking monotone golems.

The hallways was lit dimly by many candles on each sides of the walls. Paintings of various pokémons and legendaries alongside humans also dotted by sides of the walls as well. The stone that they tread itself is quite well-maintained.

Cloudy herself was fascinated by the stoneworks. She had never seen delicate carving before. She wanted to know more about what kind of stones these are.

Eric sighed. Sally and Helen noticed...he was slightly shaking.”Eric?”Sally questioned.

“Eric, what’s wrong?”Helen questioned.

He huffed a breath. Trying to calm his nerves.”Maybe we should have got a plan together first before going blitzkrieg like this.”

Sally for once, spoke more than a few words.”We improvised before. This isn’t so different.”She knew that Eric always rely on extensive planning strategies before battles. That also applies outside battles. After all, trainer must always be prepared even outside of battle

“Sally is right. We will stick with you, Eric. No matter what.”Eric smiled at that. At times like this, he knew he could rely on his friends and team.

All of them soon find themselves within a great hall, massive enough to hold several legendaries and even more. And there he was, in all his glory, Arceus awaits them by the table seated in the center. With several legendaries to boot. Xerneas and Yveltal happened to be there too.

“Greetings, young Eric, and to your pony and Pokémon friends. I welcome you to the Hall of Legends!”

“You know me?”Eric pointed at himself. Rather baffled that the Alpha Pokémon would know his name.

“Of course,”Arceus answered with an invisible smile as his eyes anylized the rest of the group.”I also know young Helen and young Sally. They are some of your most loyal team members, correct?”

Sally didn’t reply, although that stare could be classified as a glare to Arceus. No one noticed. Helen didn’t say a word either. Eric was just stunned that Arceus would know about him and his team.

“First of all, I believe it is impolite to exclude such lovely mare from our discussion, no?”The golden ring around Arceus belly softly glowed.

“What do you mean?”Eric suddenly heard a gasp. It came from Cloudy, the Pokémons all stared at her as she covered her mouth with a hoof.”What’s wrong, ma’am? Did I say something wrong?”

“...no...”Sally replied.

“I don’t think so, Eric. You just asked Arceus what he meant earlier.”Helen added.

“I can understand you! No I mean, I could really understand you all know.”The mare smiled with relief.”What a relief.”Helen actually sighed. It was getting tiresome on having to do the gestures or the writing all the time.

The Hydreigon for once, glad for this turn of event.”Whatever he did certainly worked. Something actually gone our way for once.”

Eric, Sally, and Helen all raised an eyebrow at the name, but otherwise didn’t question it. Now that Eric had to admit, he wasn’t shaking like before. Maybe this wasn’t going so bad after all like he had thought before.

Eric and Helen bowed their heads in greeting.“Thank you....Arceus. For....allowing us to meet you.”Eric replied, not really knowing how to reply to a god.”And for....whatever you did so she could understand us.”

“It was my pleasure, young Eric.”He glanced at both Xerneas and Yveltal whom he spoke with just a moment ago.”If you two would excuse us-“

”Let us get straight to the point. We came here wanting to know the full truth of the reasons why did such an act.”Eric didn’t know that he had just interrupted Arceus.

Arceus raised an eyebrow in question. Looking back at the Serperior, not annoyed with the fact he was interrupted.”What is this act you spoke of, young Eric?”

Helen still calm and undaunted like before, decided that it’s time to speak.”Arceus, what Eric meant to say is that we would like to know everything. From the reasons, to the changes to.....Eric and the other humans who experienced such issues as well.” Like Eric, she doesn’t believe in myths. She’s not exactly an Arceus believer either, so she didn’t bother prostrating on him.

Helen continued where she left off after taking some deep breaths.”In your announcement, you mentioned, certain changes. It can only mean one thing to myself and Eric.”She said while pointing to the Brutal Pokémon.”There are other humans as well who got.....the pokémon issues and found themselves in this world.

“I also wanted to know what happens and where is the rest of my team, my family and their Pokémon. I would quite appreciate it if you could tell me where they are if they even got transported into this world.”Eric added.”And what's that Wailord-sized explosion yesterday if you could tell us. We want to find out about it.”

“Quite the astute observation, young Eric and Helen. My first visitor along with the ‘question’ I’ve been expecting. Very well, I shall answer your question.”Arceus had all, but forgotten that the Mortality Duo is still in the room. “The explosions from yesterday has been…..dealt with alongside the one who caused it.”Eric and Helen frowned. Helen, felt the god won’t give anymore answers it seems.

Arceus continued where he left off.”As for the humans, the very reasons I decided to commit such an act is very simple. It was because of humans.”

“What!?”Eric exclaimed in alarm.”I didn’t do anything bad to my Pokémons. I swear with all my heart.”

“I know, and for that I’m grateful. What I meant is this. Many humans are responsible for the abuse of Pokémons power. Thinking them as properties instead of equals. Many violence, slavery, crime broke out and Pokémons suffer from it.”

“Not all humans are like that, Arceus. Your statement could be viewed as racism. You couldn’t judge the action of many because the actions of the few.”Helen interrupted.”The good outweighted evil back on Earth.”

“Did it?” Arceus frowned.”It might be the truth, but the evil ones are like weeds. They would always grow wherever they wanted. In fact, the small percentage of them caused the most suffering. Think of this for example, one man tried freeze an entire region using one of my sons to steal all Pokémon for himself. One man, tried to wipe out the world because he was convinced that Pokémons are being used by humans and one more tried to create a new beautiful world by disturbing space and time.”

“Do you mean, those guys from the news?”Eric wasn’t there, but he had heard the news and who Arceus was referring to. As a trainer, he always imposed upon himself to always be up-to-date with the current information. That’s how he knew about Salamencite in the first place.

“You assume correctly, young Eric. Evil grows like a weed. Rip out one and another will grow back in it’s place.”

That raised one question in Eric and Helen’s mind.”Why bother bring someone like Eric, then?”Helen asked curtly.

“I was getting to that part, it was because not all humans are evil. It is exactly as you say, young Helen. Think of their transformation as a reward for their goodness.

“Then, why me? I haven’t done anything good. I was just a trainer who wanted to become the strongest. Nothing special there.”Eric replied, not following Arceus reasonings about transporting humans.

“I simply chose trainers who are good toward their Pokémons and have treated them as equals. You, your mother and brother are one of those humans. I do not tolerate the abuse to Pokémons which is why I didn’t choose any humans who haven’t been good to their Pokémons who fought on their behalf.”Eric had mixed feelings about that. At least he was glad that his family is all here.

“That was a rather flimsy reasoning. He should have put more description into what kind of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ rather than just abuse or equal treatment.” Helen muttered, hoping Arceus wouldn’t hear her.

But Arceus is not finished yet.”After all, you and your team are the ‘Multiple Vigilante’, aren’t you?”Eric fell onto his stomach again. He cursed for his lack of wing control. But what he was more surprised about the fact that Arceus knew?

Even the normally stoic Helen and the now-quiet Sally faltered for a few seconds upon hearing the magic word.”How did he....”Eric was at lost of words.

“It was simple. I, alongside my daughter, scanned the minds of every being on Earth before transporting them. To decide which one would be worthy.”

Cloudy herself was surprised when the word is uttered. It raised even more questions.

“We don’t know what are you talking about.”Helen spoke for Eric, trying her best to actually remain stoic and calm.

Arceus shook his head while chuckling.”You do not need to hide it. I knew about all your....side exploits. All those poachers, collectors, thieves and smugglers left alongside evidence for the authorities to find...it was all you and your team doing, wasn’t it? I also happen to know who your source is in the International Police.”

Sally was snarling, how dare he blatantly blurt out her trainer secrets like that! Eric was floating back up again while staring at Arceus’s eyes. Xerneas and Yveltal find their reactions amusing.

Cloudy was confused, she originally came here for answers that came straight from Arceus’s non-existent mouth. This was just so confusing to her. Even more so when Arceus mentioned that her guest is something of a ‘Vigilante’ back in their world.”Helen, what is he talking about?”

The Regal Pokémon for once, couldn’t answer her. The snake who normally have all the answer.”....Ma’am, now’s....not the time. I’ll explain later.”Cloudy knew that was just an attempt to change the subject.

Arceus chuckled, they considered themselves unworthy, but they were worthy in his eyes. Not many humans are more than willing to break the law in order to preserve the law and the lives of Pokémons. That is the kind of thing he respected.

“This is so messed up!”Eric muttered.”I didn’t want....my secrets...to be discovered like this.”

“Rest assured, your secret shall remain safe. I swear it in the name of the legendaries.”That still didn’t help lifting his doubt that the god won’t blabber his secret to anyone.”Though, should you decided to tell anyone other than your family is entirely up to you. This is after all a new world, a chance to start anew.”

“Don’t tell us about a chance to start anew.”Sally hissed. Though, Arceus heard it, along with the hostility in her tone.

“What is wrong, young Sally? You seems to be quite distressed and quiet during this entire conversation.”

“What’s wrong with me? I’m glad you finally asked. It’s probably going to be childish of me to find faults in others….but why?”Arceus is baffled by her response.”Why....why.....why.....why....why...why.”Eric, Helen, and Cloudy was getting more worried for her. The way she repeated those words is not normal.

“What is she doing, Helen?”Cloudy Quartz asked the snake. Getting concerned about the state of sanity of the Salamence.

“Why....”Silence....silence permeated through the great hall. It was broken when Sally spoke again.”WHY DIDN’T YOU COME!”

“What!?”

“WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED YOU, ARCEUS!? WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I PRAYED FOR YOU TO COME AND HELP MY MOTHER!?”

“W-what are you-“

“SHUT UP! I’M NOT FINISHED!”Sally retorted, yelling at the top of the lungs.”DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WATCH SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF YOUR VERY OWN EYES! BELIEVE ME, IT ACHED, AS IF MY HEART WAS TORN TO PIECES! I PRAYED, I DID...FOR YOU TO COME OR THE LEGENDARIES TO COME. YOU DIDN’T!”

Yveltal was angered by her words. How dare this Salamence raised her voice like that!”You little-“

“WHAT, YVELTAL? ARE YOU GOING TO BLAST ME INTO PIECES? GO AHEAD, IT’LL ONLY PROVE TO ME THAT YOU ARE ALL USELESS. RELYING TOO MUCH ON VIOLENCE TO SOLVE THINGS!”

“HYPOCRITE! YOUR LITTLE HUMAN FRIEND ALSO USED BATTLES TO SOLVE THINGS BETWEEN TRAINERS. IF THAT WASN’T VIOLENCE THEN WHAT!?”Yveltal yelled back.

Sally was unflinching in her gaze at him.”DON’T YOU BRING ERIC INTO THIS! HE’S A HUNDRED TIMES MORE THE MAN THAN YOU COULD EVER BE! HE SHOWED ME KINDNESS WHEN HE HAD NO REASONS TO DO SO!”

“Little Salamence. What is it the reason for you to carry such hostility against us?”Xerneas said. Surprisingly unangered by the yelling.

Helen and Eric was getting more worried. It wasn’t like her to yell like this.“Ma’am, get behind me!”Helen prodded the mare toward her back so she could protect her should what she assume would really happen.

“What’s wrong? Why is she throwing a tantrum?”Helen didn’t answer, she just stared intently at the scene.

“Sally! Stop!”Eric hissed to his Salamence.”That’s an order!”He is getting afraid for her well-being should she anger the legendaries.

Sally didn’t heed his words, she was far too angered to listen to her trainer’s words. “WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO IF ONE OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS DIE? USE YOUR POWERS TO REVIVE THEM? THEN WHAT IF A MORTAL ASKED YOU TO REVIVE ONE OF THEIR FAMILY, HUH? YOU’LL PROBABLY REFUSE ON THE SPOT!”Xerneas and Arceus stared at Sally not because she was incorrect, but she was also partly correct. Arceus did revive Latios because he was one of the legendaries, one of the forces of nature. He couldn’t mess with the affairs of life and death outside of that.

”Wordless? For someone who claimed to control the forces of universe. YOU’RE. JUST. A. JOKE!”

“I’LL SAY THIS JUST ONCE. YOU LEGENDARIES ARE ALL USELESS! ALWAYS HIDING FROM HUMANS EYES INSTEAD OF HELPING! DEATHS AND SUFFERINGS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF SOME OF YOU ACTUALLY HAD SOME BRAINS TO HELP!”

“I’m going to say this again. It was childish and cheesy of me to find faults in you! But it was satisfying. I finally get to say what’s on my mind all this time I carried since I was a Bagon.”

Arceus for one words is....more surprised than angered. This is one of the first times that a Pokémon held such animosity toward him and his legendaries. He’s baffled while Yveltal is more than ready to obliterate the Salamence. Xerneas, being the more patience Pokémon of the two is more confused.

Arceus scanned every living beings before the transfer, but he didn’t really pay attention, just decided if they were worthy. He did pay special attention to a few. Using his Psychic Plate, another quick scan of her memories, he had to held back a gasp. He had seen the reason why she held such anger toward him, and why she had lost faith in him.

No child should ever see their parents die in front of their eyes. He was angered not at Sally, but at those humans. Those human scums!

He transferred his thoughts to Xerneas and Yveltal. The Destruction Pokémon calmed down considerably after seeing the vision of the Salamence’s past. He knew the reasons know on why she held such hostility. Many Pokémons always praised, and worship the legendaries and Arceus as the creators of the Earth.

It’s rare to see a Pokémon without faith in Arceus before, or actually losing their faith in him and the entire legendaries. Helen is one who doesn’t have any faith in Arceus because she’s not one to belive in superstitions or unproven myths. They were utterly surprised at Sally’s reason for her lost of faith.

Sally was breathing heavily. Her throat were horse from all the yelling.”Now...I’m done! I don’t want to see your face ever again.”She sharply turned around and headed out of the room. A snarl came out of her throat as she walked by Eric.

“Sally!”Eric called out.

“I don’t want to see his face any longer, Eric! I’ll probably attack him. I’ll be at front.”Not another words were exchanged. The Salamence disappeared into the hallways beyond.

Eric sighed, one luck only to be replaced with a bad luck.“I’m sorry about Sally, Arceus.”Eric started, not expecting her to act like that.

“Please accept our apology, we didn’t know that she would act that way.”Helen added.

Arceus found himself unable to experience anger, instead sorrow for them.”It’s fine. I held nothing ill toward all of you.”

“And Eric?”Said Hydreigon turned around for a moment to face the Alpha Pokémon.”Thank you, for taking care of Sally. I’m sorry about what happened to her mother. I shall compensate for it as best as I can in the future.”

“Hold on a moment,”Using his Psychic Plate, he is able to scan the surrounding countryside of Equestria. Only a few seconds, that he got what he needed.”I almost forgot. Your mother is in Vanhoover, alongside some of her Pokémons. Two of your team members are also happens to be with her. Your brother...I do not know yet. I require the help of some of my family members.”

Eric and Helen was about to say something, but interrupted by Arceus.”Go now, young Eric, young Helen. Your friend needs you. If find where your brother is, I shall summon you.”

Eric was bewildered, not really expecting the god to apologize for something that wasn’t his fault. At least, he got what he came for in the first place. Helen did sense that Arceus tried to change the subject, but she didn’t question the god.”Uh, sure. Thanks again, Arceus. See you, later.”Arceus nodded, despite the casual goodbye, in fact he enjoyed that someone could act normal around him.The Hydreigon turned around again to float back toward the entrance, followed by Helen and the mare.

“Until we meet again, young Eric.”Arceus felt that it wouldn’t be the last time they will meet each other.

At that point, a few legendaries popped into existence.”What’s going on, dad? We heard yelling?”Mew asked Arceus.

The Alpha Pokémon sighed, he didn’t mean to brush off the visitors with off-handed reasons like that. He could summon the Lake Trio to scan the planet right now. It’s just that he needed time to think, after what happened when the Salamence yelled at him.

The Alpha Pokémon sighed. He couldn’t bear losing any of his sons. No one should see their beloved die in front of their eyes like that. He decided to treasure them after a millenia of not seeing any of them in person.

“I can finally speak normally with all of you. I wish we could have a long, normal talk after this.”The group exited the Hall of Legends after that….fiasco earlier. The mare decided to break the ice after some walk in the forest.

The giant snake vine smiled back.”I’m glad too, ma’am. A chance for a proper talk after all that is welcoming. We still wanted to work if we’re going to stay in your farm. We don’t want to impose.”

“Please, call me, Cloudy. Wouldn’t be right for all of you to keep calling me, ma’am.”

Eric smiled.”Thanks...Cloudy.”

“i wanted some explanation about the ‘Vigilante’ thing that Arceus mentioned. I didn’t want my guest to keep secrets in my house!”She stated matter-of-factly.

Helen looked at Eric who seems to be hesitating for a moment, until he at last nodded back.”As you wish, Cloudy.”

Now all that was taken care of, he turned his attention to Sally.”Sally, what was that all about? It wasn’t you to get all angry like that.”Eric knew that Sally never got angry, irritated, but not angry. That or he just oblivious to his Archeops constantly making fun of his other team members. Though he knows enough that Larry is mischievous.

“I’m sorry, Eric...I...was just so angry at him. I don’t know what I did there. Next thing I knew I was just throwing a tantrum like a Tyrantrum going on a rampage.”

“I know that. But for what? You don’t have any reasons to be angry at him.”

The Hydreigon put a head on her shoulder.”Hey, girl, don’t worry about it. You should have spoke with me or Helen about it.”

“I disappointed you again, Eric. What kind of dependable Pokémon am I if I disobeyed you like that?”

Eric just shrugged.”Hey, as far as I’m concerned, you’re still dependable. Just don’t do that again, okay? Also, I wanted some full explanation after this.”

Sally was glad that she ended up with Eric. At least he’s forgiving, Arceus forbids if she ended up with another trainer.”Eric, thanks. I-“Her ear fins picked up a faint whistling sound coming straight at them. She knew full well who it is.“Oh no....”

“ERIC!”Sally and Helen did as their repeated practice allowed them to do with their reflexes, they ducked.

Only, their trainer wasn’t so unfortunate.”GYAAAHHH!”The thing that’s coming at them rammed into him where they skid on the ground.

Both the Salamence and Serperior could sense it coming. After all, the training that Eric put them through was made to avoid things like this to happen during battles. Eric who only direct them during that training didn’t have that kind of reflexes.

Which is why the Hydreigon is currently seeing stars as he stared upwards, an Archeops on his chest, hugging him.”Eric, my best buddy! I finally found you, bud!”

“Oh, mommy! Why is there pretty stars in the morning?”He mumbled while trying to catch said stars.

The Archeops ignored that statement.”Man, you wouldn’t believe how worried me and Ricky were! I’m flying all over the place looking for you! Then I thought I had gone crazy from hearing this crazy god guy spoke in my head, whoever he is, anyway.”

“Wha-?”Eric still seeing stars, not really listening what he said with the words flying over his head.”Helen, Sally, are you seeing stars as well?”Both Pokémons and a mare stared with a bemused face.

“I thought I saw someone wearing your jacket I nearly attacked you, then I heard your voice and knew it has to be you! Ricky-”He was cut off when he was dragged backward from the recovering Eric.

Sally dragged the Archeops back by clamping her mouth on his tail. Turning him around as well.“Sally, woman, it’s good to see you, too.”He stared at Helen who stared back with a bemused expression.”I see snakey girl is also with you!”She sweat-dropped at that.

“Larry, first, don’t call me that! And second....What. The. Hell? Why did you ram Eric like that!”Sally is trying her hardest not to yell at the irritating bird.

Larry the Archeops, the third and fastest member of Eric’s team, folded his wings like that of a human.”Geez, Sally, you got to keep that temper in check or you’ll grow old fast, woman. Oh, I was just so excited to see my best buddy is ok!”

Sally is now snarling.”I wouldn’t be angry if you stopped with the pranks you love so much!”

“Woman, those were just some normal harmless pranks. Maybe if you actually more cautious then you wouldn’t be the prey.”Larry sported one of those annoying grins in Sally’s eyes.

“I swear, you are such an annoying bird. For once, maybe just for once you should stop with the pranks you, oh love so much. You are such an immature, and stupid bird! You should know better to try and- ”Her words were drowned out when Larry heard a groan behind him.

Eric was getting back up and floating again.”Owww, did anyone saw the plate on the bird just now!?”He tried to clear his starry eyes.

“Eric! Buddy, glad you found the time to greet me!”Larry added with full enthusiasm of seeing his trainer and friend again.

The Hydreigon rubbed his eyes, when it cleared, he couldn’t believe his eyes.”Larry? Is that you?”

Larry just pumped his chest with a talon.”Of course, it’s me, bud. What? Have you already forgotten who is the number one Flying-type in the team?”The Ancient Bird Pokémon found himself hugged by the Hydreigon.

“Larry, dammit, it’s good to see you.”

The bird patted the Hydreigon’s back.”Glad to see you back in the world of the living. Can you let go of me now?”

“Hey, listen, to me when I’m talking! Stupid bird!”The Dragon Pokémon yelled.

Said bird just turned around, with a dumbfounded look on his face and said one word.”What?”

A vein throbbed in Sally’s head, she couldn’t wait the chance to dunk the bird’s head into the water like she promised. Helen sighed, it’s just like old times when they were all together.
