A Gift Of Chaos
Chapter 1

A a simple cottage on the outskirts of ponyville is where our story begins...
Shimmering snow flakes fell outside, landing sofley on the earth below, minty cold air coves the land like a blanket as the show reflexes the light from celestia's rising sun sending silver streaks of light across twisted bark of the once green trees.
Fluttershy looks out from her kitchen window, small amounts of Frost starts to gather on the glass making her view fuzzy but she dosent mind , fluttershy is one of the few ponies to love winter and understand it's propose but at the same time she worries for all her little critters that sleep deep beneath the ground.
Cleaning the last cup, Fluttershy noticed angel still asleep on her sofa his fur looked like fresh layed snow, she loved to see him peacefully sleeping, his chest rising and falling with each breath, a smile comes upon her face, with a shy sigh, fluttershy remembers the resion she was active that morning, it was heart warming eve.
her friends where joining her for a celebrating later that day all the ponies have been busy lately therefor they haven't seen each other, it was fluttershy idea and she had sent the invits herself, a small part of her mind hoped that all got their invitations after all it had taken her weeks to find out her friend plans.
Twilight was with her family in canterlot, pinkie pie was helping the Cakes design the perfect hearth warming cake, applejack was getting her orchard ready for winter, rarity was designing a new winter dress for Safire shore and rainbow had been spending a lot of time with soarin.
Fluttershy give out a timid giggle at the thought of dash been all shy and girly around soarin, she knew dash had a huge crush on him but fluttershy still found it funny and cute, After drying her cup she places it back onto a shelf and moves to her living room.
A large tree towers over her room it was decorated with fairy lights and little ornaments, 6 glass borbles with her friend cutie marks painted upon them where clearly displayed, under the tree was 6 presents one for each of her friends and one for a special friend who would also be joining the fun later that day.
Getting cozy Fluttershy snuggles up against angel and pulled a knitted blantet over her and her bunny to fight way the cold, a graceful smile covers her face as she drifts into her dreams.

Knock knock
A noise woke fluttershy from her nap, it toke her a few moments to realize some pony was at her door, hopefully she wished it was one of her friends,Pulling the door open a wall of cold air hit the cream Pegasus before she noticed her visitors, it was pinkie pie upon her back was a dark pink saddleback with 3 balloons on it, behind her was applejack who also have a saddlebag on but hers was boring and brown, it looked old, the 2 earth ponies smiled.
"Howdy sugercube, can we come in?" Applejack asked as a shivering ran down her spine.
"Ow of corse" Fluttershy gracefully moved aside allowing her friends to enter, pinkie is the first to come in she bounced high above normally earth ponys heights she was followed by applejack who tuns and gives fluttershy a hug, fluttershy had missed hugs from her friends it seemed far too long since they had all last met.
Fluttershy had almost closed her door when a voice stopped her "Fluttershy!" Exclaimed twilight as she and rarity trotted up the shy Pegasus garden path.
"Girls, glad you got my invatasion" flutteshy whispered back loud egnoph for them to hear, The unicorns give fluttershy a hug before passing her and entering her home,
Applejack, twilight, rarity and fluttershy had settled down on the sofas that stood in her warm living room, pinkie was curled up on ground in front of the fire as it crackled giving the room heat, for a moment the room was silent but it was a peaceful slence.
"Where is dash?" Twilght asked breaking the silence
"Not sure dear, i was told she was with soarin" explained rarity
Knock knock knock
"Speak of the devil" giggled applejack as the friends watched fluttershy move the the door and open it allowing the heat to escape again.
"Hey flutters!" Smiled rainbow dash, standing awkwardly next to her was a large baby blue stallion.
"Ow you must be soarin?" asked fluttershy, she allowed some of her long pink mare to fall over one of her eyes.
"Yer nice to meet you" he nodded his head is creating befor looking at rainbow, "well I gotta get going!" His face was full of disappointment
Rainbow give a girly giggle " thanks for flying me here Soarin."
"No problem " without hesitation he leant over to her and connected his lips with rainbows, Fluttershy felt a little uncomfortable but she didn't mind, it was nice to see rainbow happy with a stallion. it made fluttershy think about how much she wanted a stallion to care and love her, to help her care for all her critters.
"Will you too stop licking each other faces it's cold" complained rarity and she raised an eyebrow and crossed her hooves, The 2 Pegasus said there final good byes and Soarin flew into clear winter sky.
As dash stepped inside her checks burned, "looks like some pony is in love" kindly teased rarity who received a deadly glair from rainbow, all the mare burst out in laughter even rainbow who had no sat next to twilight on the smaller sofa.
"Should we exchange presents" asked twilight as she levitated her saddle bag from the corner of the room.
"Yey presents!" Yelled pinkie waking angle bunny from his sleep, the pink mare bounced over to her yellow saddle bag, After all the ponies had gathered their bags Fluttershy sorted the presents from under the tree, the friend agreed to start with rarity.
"Eeeeeek" grinned rarity as she opens the four present she receives, purple cupcake with blue sprinkles from pinkie pie , a fashion book from twilight, a apple pie from applejack and a purple gem from rainbow dash's travels to cloudsdale "goodness,thank you everypony" rarity griped all her friends in a hug.
"Applejacks turn!" Sung pinkie as she passed AJs presents to her, a apple flavoured cupcake from pinkie pie, a apple book from twilight, a new red saddlebag from rarity and a large apple sticker for her apple cart from rainbow,"mighty kind of y'all" applejack said after giving her friend another hug.
"I'll go nexts" explained rainbow as she sat down on the floor with pinkie pie again 4 presents where passed to the rainbow maned mare, a rainbow cupcake from pinkie pie )flavour unknown), a limited addition daring doo book from twilight, a wonderbolt scary knitted by rarity and a wonderbolt poster from applejack "owmygosh owmygosh owmygosh" exclaimed rainbow she she flew around the room hugging her gifts,
"Me Next me next"pinkie bounced waving her hand in the air
"Ok pinkie your next " twilights rolled her eyes as she levitated the four presents to the pink mare, a baking book from twilight, a jacket for gummy from rarity, some pony shaped balloons from applejack and some cider from rainbow dash, "Yey thanks everypony" bounced pinkie as she hugged the mares.
"Here ya go twilight" said applejack and she hoofed over twilight presents, a purple cupcake from pinkie pie, quill and ink from rarity, a new magic book from applejack and a book called "reading for eggheads" from rainbow dash, "thank you so much every pony" twilight giggled at her present from rainbow.
Meanwhile Fluttershy Sat calmly watching her friends like an outsider until the 5 mares looked at her "here you go flutters" said rainbow as the mares give fluttershy her presents, Calmly she begin to open the one at a time, animals care book from twilight, a pink scarf with butterfly sewing onto it from rarity, some green tea from applejack, a simple pink cupcake from pinkie pie and a smaller blanket with carrots on it for angle from rainbow dash.
A small tier formed in her eye,she was very greatfull to have such caring and loving best friends, Fluttershy lend under her tree after giving the mares a big hug, she brought out a silver present it was tide with a single purple ribbon.
"Here you go rarity" as she alowed rarity to levitate the box to her self, with delicate hooves rarity opened it reviling a silver necklace with a cutiemark charm hanging loosely from it.
Rarity's eye sparkled "I have never seen something as perfect as this!"
Fluttershy then grabbed the other boxes, a pale orange one with a red ribbon, a pritty pink one with a yellow and blue ribbon. A cyan coloured box with a rainbow ribbon and a purple box with a dark pink ribbon.
Each of the mare received there present and opened the hoof sized boxes with care to discover the same silver necklace but with there own cutie mark charm attached, "Fluttershy these are beautiful!" Twilight said as she used her magic to place it around her neck before helping the others to do that same.
" Iam glad you all Like them, I am also glad you all got my invitations!" Whispered fluttershy as she admired her best friend who where fascinated by the gifts.
"So flutters who's is that present for?" Asked dash, her cyan hoof pointed towards the tree where a Gray present sat, it looked left out and almost lonely, Fluttershy noticed this, maybe he was feeling the same way!
"Ow that... That's for... For discord" fluttershy said whispering discords name.
"Ow fluttershy don't be teasing us like that !" Laughed rarity before she noticed the Pegasus mares unchanged face.
"you can't be serious?" Rainbow said shacking her head in a way to convince herself Fluttershy was joking, fluttershy shuffled her hooves nervously trying to fine a response for the confused and conserving looks from her best friends, she prayed for a distraction from explaining the truth.
Her prays where answered by a light knocking from the door.

"Who in hay could that be ?" Asked AJ, Fluttershy knew exactly who was calling at her door...

Chapter 2

Fluttershy's shaky hoof grasped the door handle, she turned it till a tiny click Indicated the door was open, As the door swung on its hinges a piecing cold wrapped around a tall fugue who stood in the orange morning light.
"Hello Fluttershy" his deep voice confirmed her thoughts, he seemed to shack uncontrollably in the door way. Honesty her heart flutted in her chest, the feeling always came when he was near her.
"Ow dear, come in discord, you must be cold" her voice was at a whisper as she hurried him inside, blue shades faded from his checks as he greeted the roaring fire like a old friend.
"Hello friends" discord spoke in a sarcastic tone, he wasn't acting his normal, out going, chaotic self, on the other hoof no pony realy knew him that well apart from fluttershy, and she noticed, he looked almost upset, almost like he had lost a friend. Silent casted a dark shadow over the room, none of the ponies wanting to talk , none of the ponies knew what to talk about since discord had joined them, he just sat in the corner like a naughty child who was hiding from his mistakes.
"So...how are you today discord?" Asked twilight a little hesitant, he replied by raising one over grown eyebrow, discords face was a perfect example of sarcasm, Fluttershy had now made her way to sit with rarity next to angel who continued to sleep not disturbed by the guests.
Once again the room dropped into silence, pinkie shuffled, it was eating her up inside "LETS PLAY SOME...!" Pinkie yelled before regretting her move, discord had clicked her claw together removing pinkie pie mouth, hopping the shut the mare up.
Pinkie did the opposite, a muffled giggle sounded from the pink mares a she fell onto her back, the ponies started to giggle, discord violently grabbed her ears pulling them down to remove the sound of laughing ponies.
"WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP!!!!"discord roared he face was plasted with anger, All the ponies froze looking at discord, there eyes like pin pricks shocked by his sudden out burst, Fluttershy had only just walked from the door and already discord had shared his unloved chaos, rainbow started to turn red with anger.
"Well I've got a message for you mister, this is a party not a... A what ever this is!" Rainbow stormed hovering a short distance from discord face her mussel almost touching his..."OW!" Rainbow cried as she fell to fluttershy's floor, a strange feeling ran over her body like something was missing, "nonononononon! discord give me my wings!" She complained after noticing he wingless back.
"Discord what is hay y'all do that for?" Questioned applejack who had now rose to her hooves giving discord a confused and angry stare.
"Dont worry AJ he's just is a bad mood and making everyone else in a bad mood too" rainbow replyed in a sarcastic voice making sure to give discord a evil look.
"Well I don't think I want be here anymore" huffed rarity as she levitated her saddlebag onto her back and trotted to the door.
"Rarity please" twilight said trying to prevent the disappointment of her dear friend fluttershy but rarity had other plans, she opens fluttershy door before turning to look into the depressed room.
"Sorry fluttershy" rarity regretfully said looking at the confused cream Pegasus.
"Yer me too, this aint no party"applejack excused herself trotting behind rarity who was now half way down the garden path.
"That's it I'm out too" stormed rainbow not wanting to give discord a piece of her mind only because she was loyal to her dear friend Fluttershy.
"Hummmm humm hmmm Hummmm" mumbled pinkie pie before discord reluctantly give her back the mouth with a click from his claw, "Me three.. No wait.. Four!" huffed pinkie as she followed the others out the door...
*Bang*
The door closed with a gust of wind, sending an ear damaging noise across the tree like cottage waking angel, who took off into the next room to hide from the noise,"I am sorry fluttershy... I truly am" twilight held the shocked mare In her hooves trying to protect the delicate mare from the feeling bubbling up inside the element of kindness.
Her body was frozen, her eyes glued open as water streamed down her cheeks leaving dark yellow lines below her eyes, her mouth opened and closed as she tried to talk but not a single word was formed, Twilight let go and reopened the door, the cold wing no longer effecting the pink maned Pegasus, twilight left the home with a regretful sigh,"get some rest Fluttershy, I will come and see you tomorrow... Iam sorry" that was the last words that left twilight lips before the wooden door closed once again.
Fluttershy finally found the strength to turn away from the remaining guest, it almost killed her to be annoyed at him, it hurt her more than she was willing to admit, fluttershy could hear her heart break, crushing all the love she had, she rushed away as tears fell to the floor boards, she needed to get away from him and quick.
"Fluttershy... Fluttershy please come back I didn't mean to" discord trying to comfort the mare regretting his mistakes, he followed her skinny body toward her room but was met with a face full of wood, he stumbled back slightly before pressing his ear against the door "Fluttershy please..."
"GO AWAY DISCORD!!"
"Fluttershy please, I need to talk to you" he whispered into what cracked wood, all he could hear was a silent sobbing, she was the reason discord cold heart started beating again when she had shower him friendship and that would make her the only pony he could ever love, and he loved her more than rainbow loved the wonderbolts, more than pinkie loved parties and more than twilight loved her books.
He was knocked from his loving thought as the door cracked open, a pail blue eye looked at his sorry face, "What!..."her voice was sharp and cut his heart like daggers, with no response from discord she continued, "why did you have to be so mean?...why are you acting so depressed?...what is your problem?"
"I can't.. Tell you" discord dropped his head in defeat, he wanted to tell her but there was too many disappointing effects what could happen if he did, discords head was spinning with emotion that he never in his Wildest deames would expect him to feel.
"Why not?.. I thought we where friends" fluttershy knew just how to make him feel guilty and it was working a treat but he still never said a word, just sinking deeped into himself, "Well are we discord?"
"Yes... yes of corse we are!" Discord jumped at her question after noticing the long moment if silence he had been rudely giving his love.
"Tell me then!"
"Fine......" He huffed crossing his claw and paw.
He was now leaning against the wall to side of her bed room door, she had opens to allow herself to sit next to him, Fluttershy was still not happy with his actions but was understanding enough to listen, after what seemed like minutes to the pale Pegasus he spoke "Iam... iam in...love, I think!"
Before she could take in his response fluttershy Answered back "And you think you can... Wait what??" she paused shocked at one word that echoed in her mind, love!
Her head told her it was all over, she had hit her feelings for too long and now she could never tell him, he had falling in love with some other mare no doubt a lot prettier than herself, before her mind could insult her shyness discord interrupted, giving her a almost angered face "Are you Listening fluttershy I said Iam in love" he demanded, his voice ran within her body and it hurt.
"Ow...but why are you acting so down!.. If you don't mind me asking" her volume reduced to a mouse squeak.
"I don't know" was the only explanation he could think of with out telling her everything, his eyes fell to the floor is shame, fluttershy's graceful hoof gently touched his shoulder.
"Yes you do, come on discord you can tell me" her words full of love and wisdom, without putting up a fight, he tryed to explain himself.
"Because I can't tell her, Iam afraid"discord didn't know what to expect his friend to say but a giggle was last on his list of responses.
"Now that dosent sound like the discord I know," at first he growled, anger starting to take over till he noticed her still perfect caring eyes they seemed to glitter, their eye fixed upon each other, all he wanted to do was kiss her, unfortunately a rush of blood to her checks distracted her eyes away.
Fluttershy felt discords paw grasp her front leg as he almost dragged her into the living room, he sat next to the still roaring fire, it's flames danced like a ballet dancer, "Here" with another click of his talons, a small gift wrapped it shimming pink warping paper floated onto the floor.
"What's this?" fluttershy qustion taken back by the kindness discord was showing towards her.
"It's just a a present, I was going to keep it till later but I gess you could have it now" a almost shameful expressing covered his face as she opened the gift, to her shock it was. Golden pendent and chain. the pedant was the shape of a butterfly, it looked like discord had plucked one from her own cutie mark.
as she looked over the perfectly crafted necklace she noticed her name engraved on the back, form that moment onwards she knew, her heart belonged to him. "my, this is.. Ow discord!" She jumped into him folding her hooves over his neck.
Discord chuckled "I know it's beautiful just like.. You!" He wasn't afraid anymore, she removed the fear when she hugged him.
"Me?"
"Yes... sorry... I wanted today to be romantic, what kind of pony would make his true love cry? I realy am sorry" he muttered to himself.
"Discord, I...I don't know what to say" was all fluttershy could say as she attempted to fix the chain around her small neck, she was shocked as discord pushed her hooves away giving him access to the clip, she turned to face him looking deep into her yellow eyes.
Fluttershy could see discord in the way she always did but somewhere in his eye told her she was thinking the same loving thing, they begun to move closer, deep red shades covered their checks , as there lips almost connected a unwanted voice Spock...
"Sorry to interrupt such a....touching moment, but soarin almoat had a heart atack when I came back with no wings, I kinda forgot I need my wings back!" After her explanation rainbow showed a sheepish grin
Discord rolled his eyes in annoyances before he rose his claw.
*Click*
Rainbow was thankful to see her perfect wings that secretly soarin loved, "Thanks ow and ummm... maybe you two should look up, I thought it would fit the Moment, see ya flutters", without even a second glance rainbow dash was gone.
The fluttershy was the first to look above only to discover a picture perfect branch of misstoe hanging on one of the wooden beams, a bright red blush became apparent to discord who finaly look up.
With his paw he lightly scratched his neck as his eyes flickers from the floor to fluttershy and back again, Fluttershy slid her mane back behind her ear, blood was flowering to her yellow checks, with a gentle smile Fluttershy look over to her crush, discords eye were fix on her own, gazing into each others eyes their refused to notice the distance between the mussels start to slip away for the third time that day.
the slow movement continued till discords eye lost the sight of the blue, he missed them but for the moment her heart was telling him to follow her, discord closed his eyes... their lips pressed against each other, Fluttershy lips where softer that cocotte candy clouds and tasted sweeter that any berry he had ever tasted.

There lips separated as the need for air over toke there passion for each other, Fluttershy leaped into the air and landed firmly against discord lowering her head to rest under his chin, life couldn't get any better
