Rarity suggests to give Applejack and Fluttershy a small makeover. Just a change of their mane styles, and nothing else. Nopony would've thought that just changing that would cause them to change completely. Chaos ensues, and Fluttershy and Applejack's best friends now fight against the clock to change them back to normal.

There was always something that Rarity loved to do more than make her mark in fashion designing. And that, was enjoying a thorough, relaxing day at the spa. She enjoyed this more so with her usual companion, Fluttershy. She would have to thank the young Pegasus later though, because she had somehow managed to convince Applejack to join them in their little weekend ritual. When they had first entered, the farm pony was very objective to the whole idea. But as time went on, and her fatigued and muscular body was pampered to, she was glad that she had taken up the offer. The trio were now enjoying a relaxing soak in the Jacuzzi, letting the bubbles massage the last bit of tension left in their muscles. They spoke softly to each other, matching the mood of their enviorment.

“Fluttershy you really should try a different hairstyle! Perhaps a ponytail like Applejack’s?”

Fluttershy’s eyes averted away from the Unicorn’s gaze, “Oh…I don’t know. I just…I-” she looked up to see Applejack and Rarity in her face, waiting for an answer.

“EEP!!”

Applejack grinned, “Ah think ya should try it! Ain’t nothin’ wrong with a new do, an’ certainly not one as useful an’ stylish as a good ol’ fashioned ponytail!!”

Rarity shot her a look, “And what about you, Applejack?”

“What about me?”

“I’ve seen you with your mane down, and it’s quite a sight! Why, just look at it now!” Rarity scooted closer to Applejack and ran a hoof through the long golden strands, “It’s sparkles like a field of wheat being basked by Celestia’s sun.”

Applejack rolled her eyes, “Because Ah work all the time. Mah ponytail ain’t me makin’ a fasion statement. It’s practical an' keeps mah mane outta mah eyes when Ah’m buckin’ an’ pullin’ carts around the whole orchard.”

“You’re not working everyday though, Applejack. Your family has plenty enough apples to where you don't have to bust your flank every day. You told me so yourself.”

Applejack rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, “Well…uh…Ah’m pretty comfortable with mah 'do as it is…ya know? Like…how ya keep yer mane the same way all the time!!”

Rarity scoffed, “Somepony CLEARLY has not been paying attention to the fact that I’ve been changing the direction of my beautiful bangs!”

“Yeah…okay.”

“Don’t try to turn this on me!” Rarity spat out. “Why don’t you give it a chance?!”

Now Rarity had gotten closer to Applejack. The farmer shook her head,

“Nope."

Rarity let out an irritated sigh. Fluttershy had a thoughtful look on her face, before turning her gaze to the Unicorn,

"I'll do it..." Fluttershy stated. She turned to Applejack, "But...to be fair...if I have to wear my mane up, you have to wear yours down." Applejack had tried to submerge herself into the warm waters. Fluttershy waded over to her, putting on her best pouting face, "Please, Applejack?"

The Earth Pony's eyes shifted between Rarity and Fluttershy. She let out a few bubbles, then slowly rose from the water.

"Fine...Ah'll do it."

Fluttershy smiled a little bit, "You promise?"

"Ah promise..."

"Um...if it's okay with you, can you Pinkie Promise?"

Applejack rolled her eyes and began to go through the hoof motions, "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake i-"

“No! Remember when we had to revise it after YOU broke a Pinkie Promise?” Rarity narrowed her eyes, “Say the whole thing!!”

The farming mare sighed.

“Cross mah heart, an' hope tah fly,

Stick a cupcake in mah eye.

If anypony should ever lie,

Will face the rage of Pinkie Pie.

Before Ah would let out a single cry,

It’s tah mah soul Ah’ll say goodbye.”

Rarity let out a happy squeal of delight,

“Excellent!!” She practically leapt out of the Jacuzzi, the other two looking up at her in confusion,

“Where ya goin’ in such a rush?” Applejack quipped.

Rarity spun around, “The question is; why are you still in there? Get out, both of you! I’m going to fix up your manes myself!!”

Fluttershy let out a soft squeak, while Applejack sighed in exasperation. Both ponies rose out of the Jacuzzi, and followed a very excited Rarity back to her boutique.

Applejack sat with a frozen expression on her face, while Rarity combed out the last few tangles in her golden mane. Shampooing all of the grit and grime that the spa had SOMEHOW missed proved to be a challenge, especially with the farmer trying to be as defiant, yet subtle about it, as possible. As she got out the last tiny little clump, she let a prideful grin appear on her face,

“There! Don’t you feel so much better about it now?”

“Eee-nope.”

“Come on now, must you be so uptight about it?” Rarity questioned. “There’s nothing wrong with letting your mane down sometimes.”

“Then…um…ca-can I put mine back down?”

Rarity shot Fluttershy a look. The Pegasus didn’t know what to do with herself, since she didn’t have her mane to hide behind. Her face flourished with red, and she squeaked even louder than normal. Rarity let out a soft sigh,

“No, darling, you can’t.” she looked back and forth between them, “You two already Pinkie Promised that you’d keep these styles until Monday morning, and-”

Pinkie suddenly popped her head through one of the boutique’s open windows,

“NOPONY BREAKS A PINKIE PROMISE!!” she screamed out in her demonic voice.

The trio turned to the window, only to see Pinkie galloping off down the street. Rarity shrugged and looked back at the two,

“Alright! Both of your manes look splendid, if I do say so myself.”

Fluttershy and Applejack rose to their hooves, looking over each other, and a small smile on their faces,

“Ya really do like nice…uh…Fluttershy…”

Fluttershy’s smile got a bit bigger, “You pretty good yourself!!” she slapped her hoof over her mouth, “Oh my…I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be so loud. I don’t know where that came from.”

Applejack’s eyes fell to the ground, “Oh no…it’s okay. Yer good.” She pawed at the ground, not looking up.

Rarity studied the two for a moment. Something wasn’t right, but she decided to push that thought to the back of her mind.

“Alright, I’ll see you girls later.” Fluttershy stated before trotting out the door. Rarity looked over at Applejack, who looked over at her, then dropped her gaze back to the boutique’s lush carpet.

“Are…are you okay, darling?”

“Oh, um…yeah, Ah’m fine. Thanks fer askin’. Ah’ll just…Ah’ll get outta yer mane. See ya later…”

Applejack slowly trotted towards the door. Rarity bit her lip, “Applejack?”

The farm pony’s ears perked up. She looked over her shoulder, “Yes, Rarity?”

“Are you busy tomorrow??”

Applejack shifted her gaze to something else in the room, “No…Ah don’t think Ah have anythin’ goin’ on.”

“Would you like to go out tomorrow? It’s been so terribly long since we spent some true one-on-one quality time with each other.”

Applejack gave her a soft smile, “Sure! Ah’d like that very much.”

The Unicorn returned the smile, “Excellent! I’ll stop by the farm to meet up with you, and then we can head out from there.”

“Okay. Ah’ll see ya tomorrow then.”

Applejack turned and trotted out the door. Rarity kept a smile on her face until the door closed. She immediately galloped upstairs to her room and bounded up to her phone. She levitated the phone to her ear and started punching in numbers. She wait through a few rings before a young voice picked up the phone,

“Hello?”

“Hello, Spike?”

“Oh! Hiya Rarity!!” Spike shouted from the other side of the line. “Were you looking for Twilight?”

“Yes, dear. Can you put her on the phone please?”

“Sure, just give me a second to go get her.”

Rarity waited patiently while Spike went to go and get her Alicorn friend. Within a few seconds, she heard movement from the other side,

“Hey, Rarity. What’s up?”

“Twilight, what are you doing tomorrow?”

“Just rearranging the librar-”

“Pass that chore on to Spike, because we’re going out tomorrow.”

Before Twilight could respond, Rarity hung up. Something had happened to her two friends. While it would’ve been subtle to anypony else, their little sisterhood circle all understood and knew each other pretty well. And right now, Applejack and Fluttershy were acting too off to go unnoticed. She had to find out why.

-MLP-

“So please tell me again why you dragged me out of my house?” Twilight started.

“We’re going to Applejack’s house.” Rarity simply replied.

Twilight rolled her eyes, “Rarity…you made it seem like it was important!”

“But this IS important!” Rarity started to trot faster, “It’s something you just have to see for yourself.”

The duo trotted up to the Apple household. Rarity gave the door a swift knock. It took a few minutes before Apple Bloom answered it. The filly looked up at them,

“Mornin’ Princess Twilight, Miss Rarity. Can Ah help ya’ll?”

Rarity gave her a friendly smile, “Yes, where is your older sister?”

Apple Bloom’s small smile faded, “Well, she’s up in her room, but Ah don’t think she wants tah see anypony right now…”

Twilight looked over at Rarity, “I thought you said that you two were going to hang out today?”

“I did. We had plans and everything.” She looked back down at Apple Bloom, “What do you mean she doesn’t want to see anypony?”

“Ah mean just that.” The tiny Earth Pony rubbed the back of her head, “Ah went up there tah let her know breakfast was ready, but as soon as Ah opened the door, she screamed an’ hid under her bed. Ah told Granny about it, an’ she’s upstairs tryin’ tah see what’s wrong with her.”

Twilight and Rarity looked at each other, before looking back down at Apple Bloom,

“We’d like to help if we can.”

The Earth Pony looked behind her and up the staircase for a few moments, before turning back around,

“Alright…If anypony can figure this out, then it’d be ya’ll.”

Apple Bloom stepped aside to let them in. They made their way up the stairs to see Granny Smith standing halfway into Applejack’s room,

“Child, come from up under there right now!”

“But Granny, somethin’ started screamin’ when Ah was headin’ down the stairs…”

“It was just the darn kettle!!” Granny Smith disappeared into the bedroom, “Quit yer foolin’ 'round an’ get from up under there now!”

Twilight and Rarity trotted into the room, and Granny Smith turned to them,

“Well howdy girls!!” gave them a friendly smile, “Ah’m assumin’ ya’ll are here fer Applejack?”

Twilight nodded and took a couple steps forward, “Yes ma’am. The three of us were supposed to hang out today, and we’re here to see if she was ready yet.”

An orange muzzle peeked from under the bed, “T-T-Twilight? Ah didn’t know ya was gonna be hangin’ out with me an’ Rarity….but uh…it’s alright if ya want tah…”

Granny Smith snapped her head back towards the bed, “Applejack, come from up under there, NOW!”

A few moments of silence filled the room before an orange hoof slid from underneath the bed. A few more seconds passed before another hoof slid out. They all waited patiently as Applejack carefully pulled herself from out under the bed. Her eyes shifted quickly between her grandmother and her two friends,

“Um…see? Ah’m up from under the place where Ah feel safest…”

“Nonsense child!” Granny Smith exclaimed, causing the Earth Pony to let out an uncharacteristic squeak. “This here is yer home! Ya should feel safe here whether ya wanna slide under the bed or…anywhere else in the house! Besides, it must’ve slipped yer mind that the Headless Horse sleeps under the bed an’ come out at night!”

Applejack’s pupils shrank, “W-what? Really?”

Granny Smith smirked, “Sure do!! An’ if yer not careful, ya get gobbled up!”

Applejack screamed and turned tail. She dive bombed under the bed, only to pop back out after rememberin the terrors that lie there. She leapt towards Twilight and wrapped herself around her friend’s neck. Apple Bloom walked into the room,

“Uh…what’s she doin’?”

Rarity gave her a forced smile, “Your grandmother decided to tell her the tale of the Headless Horse to your sister.”

Apple Bloom shot Granny Smith a glare, “Granny, why’d ya do that?! Ya see she’s already scared of her own shadow right now!”

Granny Smith cackled, “Well, Ah had tah get her from up under the bed somehow. Ah couldn't reach under there an' grab her mahself since that lil' incident ya caused three weeks ago messed up mah back!!”

Apple Bloom folder her ears against her head and said nothing, while Granny Smith turned back to the trio of mares,

“If ya’ll think ya’ll can do somethin’ with her, then by all means, go right ahead. There’s nopony Ah’d trust more with mah grand baby, than her closest friends.”

Rarity gave her a quick nod, “We’ll do our best to figure out what’s wrong her with her, Granny Smith.” She looked over at Twilight, who still had Applejack wrapped around her neck.

“Appfuljeck, pweaf get oof of mef.”

Applejack looked down, realizing that she had been slightly suffocating Twilight with her foreleg. She immediately dropped down, and practically plastered herself to the side of Twilight’s body, eyes darting all over the room as if she was waiting for something to attack. She looked up at Twilight. When did she get so tall? Granted, she had grown a little after her ascension into Alicornhood, but now…well, the mare practically towered over her! She was tall and looking down at her with bright lavender eyes. Applejack could see the power behind those eyes.

She was afraid.

Confusion took over Twilight’s face, as she watched the Earth Pony back away from her and ease herself over to Rarity’s side. Rarity looked over at her, then at Twilight with a worried expression.

“Let’s get out of here and see what we can do for her.” Twilight stated with determination.

Rarity backed out of the room first, with Applejack attached to her. Twilight sighed, before saying goodbye to Granny Smith and Apple Bloom, and leaving herself. They left the house and trotted up the dirt path that led to the entry gates. Twilight looked over at Applejack,

“Applejack, what’s wrong with you?” she took a couple steps forward, but stopped when the Earth Pony buried her face into Rarity’s mane. She took a couple steps back,

“Are…are you afraid of me?”

Applejack turned just enough for her to look at the Alicorn with one eye. She squeaked and buried herself back to her friend’s mane. Rarity figeted a little, “Applejack darling, Twilight’s our friend! She’s not going to hurt you or anything.”

Applejack peeked up at her, “Are ya sure? She just…she looks so big…”

“Are you calling me ‘fat’?!”

Applejack squeaked and clung onto Rarity, who shot Twilight a glare and mouthed ‘shut the hell up!’ to her. She looked back at Applejack, “I’m positive. She’s just a big old FRIENDLY Alicorn, who loves you very, very much. She’s been our friend for years and would do anything to protect you.”

Applejack turned to look at Twilight, who gave her a soft, friendly smile. Applejack stepped away from Rarity and towards the Alicorn. Twilight opened her wings, welcoming Applejack into a friendly embrace, “See, I’m just your friendly, neighborhood Princess!”

Applejack flinched, but didn’t run. “Ah can see that…thank ya fer not banishin’ me fer mah behavior earlier…”

“I couldn’t do that to you. Like Rarity said, you’re my friend. I’d never hurt you.” Twilight stared at her for a few moments before something clicked in.

“Applejack…when did you start wearing your mane down?”

The orange mare pawed at the ground, “Oh, Ah just started yesterday. Rarity said Ah should give it a try, because mah mane looks nice an' pretty when it's down.” She looked over at Rarity with a smile on her face, “She’s such a good friend fer makin’ this decision fer me…”

Twilight immediately snapped her head in Rarity’s direction, and glared at her as the Unicorn’s face twisted into a look of guilt.

“Rarity, what did you do?”

Rarity clacked her hooves together and let out a nervous chuckle. “It’s just like she said, I made the suggestion!! It was for her and Fluttershy!!”

“You made a suggestion, or you forced her to do it?!”

Applejack cowered to the ground as Twilight stomped over to Rarity. The white mare’s ears folded back,

“I may or may not have somewhat slightly influenced her to make the decision that I wanted her to make-”

“RARITY!!”

“It just a change in a mane-do!! I didn’t think it would be so serious! It may not even have anything to do with this!!”

“Or it might! Pinkie's the perfect example of her personality changing when her mane does!”

Rarity scoffed, "Please, Pinkie can do things that no normal pony can do. She's the perfect examples to A LOT of strange events."

"Even so, this is still Ponyville! All the crazy crap seems to happen here, or in Canterlot, so we can't rule the possibility out-"

The princess stopped her scolding when she heard a quick shuffle of hooves on dirt. Rarity and Twilight looked to see that Applejack had vanished. They both looked around frantically for her.

“Oh my Gods, where did she go?” Twilight questioned frantically. Rarity spun around a few times before pointing behind Twilight,

“There she goes!!”

Twilight spread her wings and took off. It wasn’t much help though, as Applejack’s legs had been toned and built from over a decade of apple bucking and hard farm work. They had made the Earth Pony be able to sprint with a kind of speed that could rival Dash’s. Add that to the fact she was disappearing among the thickening trees, and it was damn near impossible for the Alicorn to keep up. She disappeared under a decently sized canopy of trees, and Twilight lost her. She landed to the ground with an angry frown on her face,

“Dammit…where did she go that fast?” she questioned out loud as she looked around for the mare. The sound of Rarity gasping for air caught her attention, and she turned around to see the Unicorn plop onto the ground,

“Gods…I simply can’t keep up with you two…” Rarity struggled to lift her head up and look at me, “Where…where is she?”

“I don’t know…I lost her when she got to this spot…” Twilight stated in a tired tone. “But if we don’t find her soon, she’ll disappear into the Everfree Forest.”

“What makes you think she’ll go in there? She was afraid of YOU, her own friend. There’s no way she’d flee to a place as terrifying as that.”

“Unless…” the Alicorn tapped her chin. “She doesn’t remember how bad of a place the Everfree Forest is.”

“That makes no sense.”

“Think about it; it was like she didn’t remember who I was for a moment, until you told her. She still may not even remember who I am, and just may be trying to get over her fear of me by just taking your word that I’m a nice pony…”

“So then, what do we do?”

Twilight gasped, “Oh my Gods…did you say that you did it to Fluttershy too?!”

Rarity bit he bottom lip and nodded. Twilight smacked her forehead, before looking back at the Unicorn,

“We need to find Fluttershy.”

-MLP-

The two mares made a mad dash to Fluttershy’s cottage. They bounded up to the quaint little home, to see a Pinkie hogtied and Dash sprawled out in front of her. The other two trotted up to them,

“What happened to you two?” Twilight questioned.

“She roped me up like a little piggy!!” Pinkie stated. “Oink oink!!”

Dash rubbed her throbbing skull as she slowly rose to her hooves, “I can’t believe that yellow bastard clocked me in the damn head…”

“Wait, what? ‘Yellow Bastard’? Are you talking about Fluttershy?” Rarity inquired.

“Yeah, I told her that the three of us should hang out today. She said no, like she usually does…so of course, I, being the ever loyal friend, pestered her about it.” Dash started. “But that’s when it got weird. She suddenly went from super sweet and shy, to calling me a ‘flying vermin’. I don’t know what her problem is.”

Twilight used her magic to slice the rope off of Pinkie’s hooves, “Did she look different?”

Pinkie sprung up, “Yeah! She was wearing a ponytail! She had a little bunny clip attached to her scrunchie, and it was just the cutest thing!!”

“Her mane was in a ponytail?” Twilight questioned. Pinkie nodded excitedly. The Alicorn spun around, her angry orbs settling on Rarity,

“This is all your fault!!”

The Unicorn was taken aback, “MY FAULT?!?! How is this my fault?”

“Because you spread your evil influence on them!!” Twilight pointed an accusing hoof.

“All I did was make a suggestion!!”

“No you didn’t, Rarity. You know why? Because that’s not you. You like to force us to do what you want us to do…and we do it…so you’ll LEAVE US ALONE!!”

Rarity rolled her eyes, “Like I said ‘suggestion’.”

Twilight face-hoofed, “Okay, let’s just…let’s just find her and Applejack-”

Pinkie untangled the rope from her hooves, “What happened to Jackie?”

Twilight pointed an angry hoof at Rarity, “RARITY happened to Applejack!! She made her change her mane style, just like Fluttershy!!”

Dash snickered, “So…you mean to tell me, that they’re acting this way just because of their new do’s?”

“It’s not funny, Rainbow Dash!!” Twilight snapped. “We don’t know what will happen if they keep their new styles! They may even keep their new personalities forever if we don’t find them in time!!”

Dash shook her head, “But…’Shy’s my best friend. I can’t lose her.”

“Then we have to find her and make her just…let her mane down!!”

Pinkie snorted, “Wow, that doesn’t sound that extreme compared to what’s really going on.”

“PINKIE!!” The other three mares shouted. She let out a loud sigh,

“Alright! Let’s go find them!”

Twilight summoned two small, lavender crystals, “We’ll split up and use these crystals to communicate with each other. Rarity, you and Rainbow team up, and I’ll take Pinkie.”

Rarity took the crystal and her face scrunched up, “I don’t like this color…”

“You can make it another color later, Rarity!!” Dash snapped as she started shoving her. “LET’S GO!!”

With that, the Pegasus shot into the sky, and the alabaster mare broke off into a sprint. Twilight held on to her crystal,

“Alright Pinkie, let’s-”

Pinkie was already halfway down the road, a trail of dust behind her. without a moment’s hesitation, she took flight and followed Pinkie. Hopefully, they’d managed to find the mares before it was too late.

-MLP-

Twilight had been flying for a least two hours, and there was still no sight of Fluttershy or Applejack.

“Pinkie, have you seen anything?!” she shouted below.

“Nope!!”

“Nothing at all?!”

“Nuh-uh!!”

She let out a sigh and continued flapping her wings. Ponyville had gotten larger over the past few years, but it still wasn’t THAT big. Where could they have gone?

“Pinkie, turn right at the intersection!!”

She waited for a response, but nothing came. She looked down at where she last heard Pinkie. The pink mare was gone. She splayed his wings to break the wind and stop. She swirled around in the direction behind her,

“PINKIE?!”

The Earth Pony was sprawled out in the dirt, a big knot rising from the side of her head. And this time, there was a pony who she could place at the scene.

“Fluttershy…”

She dived bombed to the road, slowing to a halt at an incredible speed. She hovered for a few moments,

“Fluttershy, what the hell is wrong with you?!”

Fluttershy snapped her head in Twilight’s direction, her ponytail swinging behind her, “I told her that I’d beat her up if her and Dash kept bothering me, and I wasn’t kidding!!” she turned her entire body to her, “And if you start to follow me, and bother me, I’ll do the same thing to you!”

“I’m your friend, Fluttershy…you don’t want to do this, and I know that.”

“You don’t know me anymore!!” she pawed the ground, “So beat it or get beat!!”

“You’re actin like that time you took those assertive classes from Iron Will!”

“No, I’m acting like I’m being honest with myself!!” Fluttershy screamed, “I can finally say no! I can say how I really feel about something. And you know what? Honestly, I’m tired of being the old Fluttershy! You girls are my friends…really, you are, but I feel like you girls step on me all the time, and I’m tired of it!!”

Pinkie managed to upright herself into a sitting position, “Geez…a change of the mane and you’re suddenly all bipolar.”

“You’re the same way, Pinks!!” a raspy voice called from above.

Twilight looked up to see Dash flapping her wings, her forelegs wrapped around Applejack’s trembling form. Although, from this angle, it looked like Applejack was holding herself to Dash without any help from the Pegasus. Rarity trotted up to the group, her aching lungs making her gasp for air,

“I…I…Good gods…” she was doubled over. “You girls need to know how to take it slow…”

Dash lowered herself to the ground, with Applejack still wrapped around her. She shook herself a few times in a futile attempt to get the mare off of her,

“Can somepony defuse Applejack from me?”

Fluttershy pointed at the duo, “That’s how I was. A scared, pathetic little filly, that could never take care of myself!!”

Applejack sheepishly pawed at the ground, “A-Ah take care of mahself…”

“Shut up!!”

The orange mare’s ears pressed against her head, “Okay…”

Dash rolled her eyes, “Gods, what happened to your balls, Applejack?”

Applejack bit her bottom lip for a moment before answering. “Ah never had balls, Dashie...Ah’m a mare...”

Dash face-hoofed, while Fluttershy smirked, “See? Look at her. She’s so scared of everything, even afraid to tell Dash to shut her cider-drinker!”

A vein pulsed on Dash’s skull. “You-” she galloped towards her fellow Pegasus. Fluttershy shot her a snarky grin before lunging at her as well. The two collided, rolling and tumbling into the dirt.

“I wanna play!!” Pinkie screamed, before dive bombing into the cloud of fighting. Rarity and Twilight sighed, while Applejack scooted closer to Twilight. The white mare threw a hoof to her forehead,

“Oh, I have manage to create these monsters! Beautiful, sensual monsters…but monsters none the less! This calamity amongst our friends is such a tragedy!!”

Twilight sighed, “Rarity-”

She stopped and rolled her eyes when Rarity's fainting couch appeared. She looked down at Applejack and gave her a friendly smile. The farmer gave her one back.

“You stay right here, okay? I’ve got something that should make you your old self again.” Twilight ordered.

Applejack gave her a quick nod, “Okay…”

Twilight vanished in a flash of magic. She was back before Applejack could finish the startled *EEP!* that came out of her mouth. In her magical grasp, were two long, red ties for her mane and tail. One of them floated in the air, snaking it’s way over to her friend, who backed up in fear of it, “What are ya gonna do with that?”

“I’m going to get our old Applejack back.”

The tie made it’s way into Applejack's gold locks, twisting and turning until it made a perfect knot. Applejack blinked a few times,

“Ah…Ah feel weird.”

She blinked her eyes a few more times, her pupils dilating and shrinking at a fast pace. She shuddered a few times before shaking her head violently.

“What the hell happened tah me?”

“It doesn’t matter, just never put your mane down again.” Twilight answered. She looked back at the mini-fight club happening in the middle of the road. “And for Fluttershy…well, she has proven she’s the definition of ‘letting your mane down’. She needs to keep it that way.”

Applejack arched a brow, “She’s got her mane in a ponytail?”

Pinkie stumbled towards the two, a bit of blood streaming down her chin, “Yeah…and a stick up her plot…”

Applejack pawed the ground, this time, with some power behind her hoof, “Lemme take a gander at her. Ah’m sure ah can go hoof tah hoof with her, especially if R.D’s already scrappin’.” She charged into the fray. The cloud between the trio kicked up to a point were nothing could be seen except for the occasional appendage. Rarity had awoken from her dramatic faint, and stood beside Pinkie, while the two cheered for Dash and Applejack.

“Destroy her! Rip her freaking throat out!!!” Rarity screamed. Pinkie and Twilight gave her a shocked look. She blushed ad looked away from them,

“Sorry…I watch a lot of wrestling…I tend to get a bit caught up in it.”

“Ha!! Got’cha!!” Dash shouted. She had her hooves planted on Fluttershy’s wings. The mare looked up at her,

“Dashie…you’re hurting me…and not the way I like you to.”

Dash blushed a bright crimson. Applejack looked up at her in confusion, “What’s she talkin’ about?”

Before Dash could even stammer out a response, Fluttershy bucked. Dash staggered on two hooves, but before Fluttershy could get on her hooves, Applejack slammed her body onto her, “Nuh-uh! Ya ain’t gettin’ away that easily!! Now,” Applejack clamped her teeth down on the scrunchie, “let’s get this outta yer mane!!”

She ripped it out, even taking some strands of pink with her. The canary Pegasus let out a squeak of pain, “T-that hurt!!”

Applejack spit the scrunchie out of her mouth. “It’s fer ya own good.”

Fluttershy went through the same process of convulsions and spasms, before she let her body completely relax on the ground. She rubbed her head and looked up at her friends, “What happened to me?”

Rarity scrambled up to her and scooped her into her forelegs, “Oh Fluttershy darling, I’m so glad you’re okay!! I’m sorry for pushing you to put your mane up! Even though nopony foresaw it blossoming into a celestial bipolar disorder-”

Twilight smacked the back of her head.

“OW!! BUT IT WAS ALL MY FAULT AND I AM TERRIBLY SORRY!!” Rarity spewed out, before rubbing the back of her head. Fluttershy gave her a gentle smile,

“Oh, I forgive you, Rarity. You didn’t know it would happen…so it’s okay…”

Applejack jammed her face in front of Rarity’s, “But Ah swear tah the gods, that if ya pull this crap again with any of us, yer not gonna like what Ah do tah ya!!”

Part of the threat floated over Rarity’s head as a perverted smile formed on her face, “Speaking of ‘doing it’, what was Fluttershy talking about, Dash?”

Dash’s face heated up once again, “Leave me alone.”

Applejack sighed, “Rares, ‘Shy wasn’t her normal self. Let’s just act like nothin’ happened.”

“But, for a while, she was HONEST about everything! What if that was truth as well?” Rarity questioned.

“Let it go, Rarity.” Twilight ordered.

The white Unicorn scoffed, “You girls really need to relax and let your manes down.”

It was the last thing that came out of her mouth before a flurry of hooves rained down on her from her friends.
