How Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon became the town's mean rich kids

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon weren't always so mean, but an incident in Las Pegasus leaves them with a bad sense of morality and a new and 'improved' personality. Diving into what led to their fame and fortune among Ponyville school fillies.

In the bustling, rich, city of Las Pegasus, Diamond Tiara trotted along the long hallways of her grandfather's hotel casino. She was meeting her friend Silver Spoon at the Grand Theater for some fun. Diamond loved to visit her rich grandfather. She was on vacation with Silver Spoon and would be heading back home in a few short weeks. She loved the hotel's class and sophistication. Maybe someday, she could be a star in her grandfather's theater, or even run the place herself! Diamond continued gleefully down the stairs from her suite and continued into the elevator. Some of the staff was there, including her family's chef.

"Hello Miss Tiara! How was your day?" The chef asked.

"Its going great Chef Basil Broth. I'm going to the theater again! How was your day?" Diamond cheerfully replied. Basil Broth was one of her favorite members of the staff. He often cooked many delicious meals and desserts for her whenever she was upset, and even made her cakes on her birthdays.

"I'm fine as well. Looks like I need to get off now, have a good day Miss Tiara!" With that, Chef Basil Broth exited the elevator, leaving Diamond Tiara alone. She didn't mind though, soon she would be playing with her friends. The elevator gave a ding and she was on the main floor. The theater was close!
Some of the guests staying at the hotel looked over at her. Diamond suddenly realized why. The theater was awfully close to the casinos. She remembered her daddy telling her to stay further away from that area. She didn't know why though. Everyone inside looked like they were having so much fun, but no one was really doing anything. All she saw were bright colors, moving pictures, and the ding a ling of bits falling onto metal or something. She shrugged and started to trot faster. Some of the staff was lingering around the lobby as she passed through the area. "What are they doing? Shouldn't they be helping cheer people up and making them happy?" the little pony wondered. Once again, she ignored the hustle and bustle of the real world and kept moving on. The golden theater door was staring right at her. Gold colored metal was hammered into the shape of a ribbon and placed just atop the round doors. A dramatic theater mask emblem was placed right in the center of the gold ribbon. No door amazed her more than this one, but this wasn't a time to look at pretty doors. No one was around, since none of the shows started until later in the afternoon. Diamond Tiara peeked in to see Silver Spoon right at the center of the stage. The whole room was like a hill. After one left the doors, numerous carpeted stairs led straight to the stage, only a foot or two elevated off the ground.

Silver Spoon saw her best friend and waved up at her. "Hey Diamond Tiara! Let's play!" Silver then continued to run behind the second curtain and disappear. Diamond Tiara smiled and galloped to where she last saw her friend.

"Wait for me!" The pony happily shouted. She arrived behind the curtains and quite out of breath. It wasn't an easy journey jumping and tipping over a bunch of stairs, even if it was all made out of carpet. "Silver? Silver Spoon? You there?" Diamond carefully searched the entire backstage area. She finally found her friend behind the doors of one of her grandfather's best actress ponies: Tessa Royal. Silver Spoon was gawking at herself in one of Tessa's dresses in the huge lighted mirror. "Silver Spoon! We aren't supposed to be back here! We could get in trouble for this!" Diamond scolded her friend in a whisper. She didn't want anypony to know they were back here.

"Aww c'mon Diamond Tiara. Can't we play in here for just a bit? These dresses are so pretty! I'm sure Tessa Royal wouldn't mind. She's nice...right?" Silver Spoon brushed off the warning and started to brush her hair with one of the actress' combs. Diamond Tiara sighed and looked at the dresses. They were awfully pretty. She attended many of Tessa Royal's plays. Her costumes were always something to marvel at. She spotted her favorite one sitting in a glass case on top of some wall. It was locked and quite hard to reach. The dress was a deep royal blue and had gold and silver accents on it. Above was a glistening tiara. That costume was from her favorite play by Tessa. It was about a peasant pony (played by Tessa Royal, of course) who got swept up in the elite life of royals after meeting a dashing prince, who carried her off and made her a princess. That was where this dress came in. Diamond wanted to try it on so badly, but she knew to refrain. She rarely ever got in trouble, and she didn't want to start now. While Silver Spoon was taking off the dress she borrowed, Diamond heard muffled voices coming from the other side of the theater.

"Here is where it all is. The great theater. You must already know....... performs here, why.......... Ha ha! Lets show.........go backstage!" Diamond recognized the muffled voice. It was her grandfather! She heard hoof-steps coming their way. Diamond grabbed her friend and they ran out of the theater's backstage. Just to be sure, she dragged Silver out of the theater and didn't stop running until they reached Diamond's suite. Diamond's mother was waiting in the family room.
The president suite at her grandfather's hotel was really something to marvel at. The white carpet was soft under her hooves. Hanging above in every room was a giant chandelier, and almost everything in sight was lined with either gold or silver. Everything was fancy, soft, and perfect. She loved her room most of all. Her grandfather specially designed it for her and Silver Spoon to share. There were two beds, each with lots of shelves around it, and pretty pictures. Diamond couldn't help but smile whenever she thought of this place. Diamond snapped back into reality as her mother spoke up.

"Diamond Tiara, why are you out of breath? Are you alright?" Diamond's mother asked. She checked Diamond for bruises, bumps, or any marks. Diamond sighed and laughed a little.

"Mom! I'm fine. Me and Silver were....uh, playing tag! Yeah! Um, you're it!" Diamond quickly poked Silver Spoon and dashed off. Silver, although being left quite confused, followed in pursuit.

"Be careful!" Diamond's mother called out as the two dashed out of the president suite and back into the main hotel floors. Diamond and Silver finally stopped.

"Silver! Next time, lets not go into the rooms of other people. Miss Royal might get mad! She may be nice, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be considerate of her things," Diamond told Silver Spoon as she plopped down next to a plant.

"Sorry Diamond. I guess I wasn't being very nice. I wouldn't like it if someone tried on all my dresses without permission either," Silver apologized and sat next to Diamond. They two spent the rest of the day talking about their awesome vacation and looking into the lobby as guests came and left.

"I can't believe we have to go so soon! I wish we could stay here forever," Silver Spoon sighed.

"I know what you mean, but think about it, we will be back here next summer in no time!" Diamond Tiara tried to cheer her friend up. "Do you know who grandfather was talking to when we were backstage?"

Silver pondered the question before shaking her head no. "It must have been one of his friends, I'm sure he has lots in a place like this." Silver Spoon extended her hoof and swirled it all around the room. Diamond giggled at the strange gesture. The two decided it was high time that they returned to their room and left to go back.

The New Royal

Diamond Tiara woke up the next morning prepared to have more fun. Today, she planned to hang out with Silver Spoon at the hotel's pool. There was a specific chair that she just loved in there. It was the prettiest, and it had the best spot in the entire pool. Since the pool was out on the roof, the sun could be a big problem, but it didn't matter Diamond Tiara. That special chair was at just the right angle so that the sun's heat would warm it up, but it would never be in direct contact with Celestia's rays. Her grandfather told her that. A beautiful tree also stood right above it, providing perfect shade and a great scene to behold. There was also a chair next to it where Silver Spoon always sat. It would be the perfect day. The pool was another one of Diamond's favorite places to be. It's waters were crystal clear, and a lemonade stand wasn't far across either. The ice cream stand was right next to the lemonade and the big stage was right next to that. It was a perfect setup. Diamond's chair could gaze upon all of it, and that was her only wish for today. She trotted a few steps over to where Silver Spoon lay sleeping and shook her awake.

"Wake up Silver Spoon! We gotta get to the pool early!" Diamond begged her friend. She wanted to be the first pony there. After all, that was when the water was calmest, the lemonade the freshest (Well, until a new batch is made but that wouldn't be for another hour) and the ice cream the coldest. She loved ponies big and small, but having a few moments before more people came was a luxury to her. Only the company of Silver Spoon was good enough.

"Diamond! Its so early! Everyone knows that chair is yours, so you can relax. Besides, its so early in the morning and not that hot today anyway. Who is going to be there at such an hour?" Silver Spoon complained as she threw her blanket over her face. Silver's hair was a mess and she was in no way awake anymore. Diamond shook her friend up once more and started to prepare herself for another great day. She gently combed her hair through with a comb and grabbed her pool things from her purple closet.

"Hmm...Silver, should I take my white pool floaties or my purple ones?" Diamond asked Silver Spoon, who had only then gotten up to get ready. Diamond was getting just the slightest bit impatient so, she started to help Silver Spoon to speed up the process. Silver and Diamond worked together to put her hair into a braid and adjust her glasses. By the time they got to the pool, half an hour had already passed. It would not have taken such a long time if Diamond Tiara's mother didn't make them eat some oats first.

"We'll just get breakfast at the pool," Diamond pleaded to her mother before they left. Diamond's mother wouldn't hear any of it. She made them sit and eat, but that couldn't slow them down just yet. After finally arriving at the pool, Diamond Tiara saw another pony sitting in her favorite chair. Diamond stopped in her tracks. Silver Spoon glanced at Diamond Tiara questioningly. Diamond frowned a bit and pointed her hoof at the new pony. This was the staff's area of the pool. Every single pony knew it was her chair. Diamond didn't understand how a new pony just came in and sat in her chair.

"Maybe you can ask her to move?" Silver Spoon suggested. Diamond gave the idea some thought, and decided to go with it. She sighed and went up to the new pony. The pony didn't seem to notice the girls as they approached. She had sunglasses on and her rosy mane was tied into a bun. The pony's cutie mark was of a golden statue. Diamond wondered what that could mean. The pony was reading a magazine. Diamond Tiara guessed that she was a few years older than her and Silver Spoon, but she really wanted her chair back. So, she gathered up her courage and went up to the pony.

"Um, excuse me, I'm so sorry to bother you, but..." Diamond started to ask politely but the new pony interrupted her.

"Listen, if you want an autograph you're gonna need to wait until, like, never, okay? I think you might be lost, the lame side of the pool is over there. Ta ta, see you never again!" The pony rudely grunted at them. Diamond Tiara was shocked. No one ever talked to her in such a way. She was baffled, as she didn't know what to do. She looked to Silver Spoon for help. Her friend simply shrugged and gestured for her to try again.

"I'm sorry, but this is my seat." Diamond asserted herself in a more antagonizing tone. It shocked her at how stern she was, but she had to stick with it, or this new pony might push her around.

"Ah Hum, Ex-key-use-eh me?" The pony accented every syllable weirdly. "I'm Bell Royal, and I refuse to be talked to in such a manner. Do you know who I am? I am the sister of Tessa Royal, so unless you want to be banned from this hotel for-uh-EVER then you better back off, or I'll get security to kick you out!" The pony stood up from her chair and started to back the two girls up.

Silver Spoon decided she wasn't going to take this. If this pony was so justified in being mean, then so was she. "We...well my friend Diamond Tiara won't be outta here anytime soon, so why don't YOU back off?" Silver Spoon hopped in front of Diamond Tiara and stood up to Bell Royal.

"And who are you to say so? I'm sister of one of the greatest actresses in all of Las Pegasus. Who. Are. YOU?" Bella sneered at the girls menacingly. Diamond Tiara has had enough as well. She refused to let this pony push her around and ruin her perfect day.

"I just happen to be Diamond Tiara. I'm granddaughter of this owner of this hotel, so YOU back off, or I will be the one who gets to kick you out of this chair, this pool, this hotel!!" Diamond yelled so loudly and fiercely, she stunned herself and Silver Spoon. Just then, two security guards and none other than Tessa Royal herself approached the three ponies with serious looks on their faces.

"What in Equestria is going on here?" Tessa asked. "I heard a bunch of screaming so I grabbed the closest two guards and ran up as fast as I could," Tessa wasn't talking to everyone. It was clear that she was asking Bell and only Bell.

Bell turned to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon with a nasty smirk. Diamond continued to glare. Bell then spoke. "I was just enjoying a nice day on MY chair, when these two brats came and ruined it! They said they would kick me out sis! I don't wanna leave!" Bell whined and hugged her elder sister. Tessa's expression grew worrisome. "Is this true?" she turned to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

"No, its not! Well, most of it is not!" Silver Spoon fought back. Diamond Tiara held a hoof, indicating that she wanted to speak. She learned from a very young age about talking to big and important ponies, as to not mess up her family name.

"Miss Tessa Royal, I am ever so sorry to bother you on this day, but I'm afraid your sister is exaggerating," Diamond started her story with refined elegance, and class. "You see, although the chair over there is not mine, I sit in it all the time that it is considered to be mine. When I approached your sister, she snapped at me and my friend Silver Spoon. We got a bit intimidated, so we raised our voices just a bit to show business. I'm sorry if we caused any trouble." Diamond finished.

Tessa seemed troubled by this answer. Bell, was not pleased. "They're liars sis! They are lying!" the girl cried. "They don't even have any cutie marks! They shouldn't even be considered real ponies!"

The security tapped Tessa on her shoulder and gestured to the security camera above. "Why don't we take a look at what really happened?" One of them suggested. Bell cried out even louder and complained more, but the rest all agreed. Diamond Tiara had only been to the security room once, and it was scary. All of the video and the dark surroundings intimidated her. She agreed along with Silver Spoon. At least her friend was there, not to mention Tessa Royal the actress.

After watching the footage, Tessa scolded her sister for being mean as the security escorted the two girls back into their rooms and informed Diamond's mother of what happened. A few short moments later, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon went back to the pool, to thankfully find no one in their seats.

"I can't believe we got what we wanted!" Silver Spoon exclaimed in glee. "Ya know, you should use that tone more often, we can get lots of stuff that way." Diamond was confused. What tone? She shrugged it off, and lay back in her seat. This was the new start of the rest of her day. The quiet didn't last too long, for Tessa Royal appeared before them along with her grandfather.

"Diamond Tiara! So glad to see you're alright! I want to formally introduce you to Tessa Royal" the wealthy pony motioned to the acclaimed actress. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon both gawked. They never thought they could actually meet the actress head on like this.

"Hi girls! I'm ever so sorry my little sister snapped at you like that before, as a sorry gift, I want to offer you both spots in a play I'm doing tonight! It's a new production, and many people will be there. Does that sound good to you?" Tessa apologetically offered them.

"Yes!" Both girls squealed at the same time. It was a dream come true for them. A role in a Tessa Royal play? What could be better? With that, the adults left, leaving Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon to talk about tonight's events. They were to go to the theater and rehearse later in the day, since their parts were small. Diamond decided to leave the pool early, and head back into her room. On the way back she saw Bell Royal again wearing quite the impressive tiara. Tessa Royal was distracted talking to a fan of her's. Silver Spoon said she was going to catch up to Diamond later, because she wanted to get some ice cream first. Diamond took in a deep breath and exhaled. She was going to make it through this.

My Cutie Mark

Bell didn't wait long to stir up some more trouble. The mean pony tried her very best to walk elegantly towards Diamond Tiara. She was wearing another smirk. "Oh hey there, Blank Flank. Whatcha doing here? Shouldn't you be hugging your pool chair?" Bell taunted Diamond. The pink pony was embarrassed. No one ever made fun of her for having no mark until now. She decided to be stern again. It worked so well last time, why not now?

"I thought I told you to stay away from me last time." Diamond started off strong. Bell was in no way going to back down now.

"Who are you to tell me that? I have a grand tiara on my head. That makes me like a Princess. I'm surprised Princess Celestia hasn't made me an Alicorn yet. I'm so special and you aren't. Your fame and glory is stuck in this hotel. I go wherever my sister's fame is, and I'm the one in the spotlight, so why don't you back off, Blank Flank!" Bell started to shout, and that got the attention of her sister.

"Bell! That is enough! Why are you wearing that tiara? I told you it was for Diamond!" Tessa grabbed the tiara off of Bell's head. "I'm so sorry Diamond Tiara. My sister has wronged you twice. To make it up to you, how would you like to be my second lead in the play? You don't get much lines, but you will be on stage a lot," Tessa offered Diamond once more.

It was Diamond Tiara's turn to smirk as she accepted the role. "Thank you, Miss Tessa Royal. It would be my honor." Tessa smiled and looked at Bell. Bell, was not sharing the joy.

"SIS! How could you do that to me? That was my role!" Bell whined. "You said I could be your second lead!"

"No I didn't! I said maybe, but since you have shown yourself to be quite the rude pony, I'm giving this part to this poor pony. And shame on you for trying to steal this tiara from Diamond! Her grandfather told us it was for her!" Tessa scolded her sister and placed the tiara on Diamond's head.

Tessa apologized one last time and left. "You're the worst, Blank Flank!" Bell sneered before galloping to catch up to her sister. Although, Diamond threw one last phrase before Bell ran out of earshot.

"Actually, I'm not the worst, I'm the second lead!"

Diamond Tiara felt something happen to her. She looked at her flank: It was a cutie mark! It depicted the tiara she was wearing. At that moment, Diamond felt unstoppable. She was Tessa Royal's new lead, she got a gorgeous tiara, and a cutie mark! Fate has finally reached her. Diamond knew this was the way to go. She was no longer a lame Blank Flank, she was Diamond Tiara, and no one is ever going to stand to push her down again!

Diamond happily trotted into her suite and proudly showed her mother her new cutie mark. "Isn't it great? I got it after I wore grandfather's tiara! He gave it to me, and Tessa Royal helped me put it on and everything!" Diamond squealed again as Silver Spoon burst through the door. Diamond ran towards her friend. "Silver! You will never believe what just happened!"

~

After a long story about how Diamond Tiara stood up to Bell Royal once and for all (hopefully), the two went into the theater for rehearsal. The play titled: A Cure for My Sister was sure to be one of the greatest hits of all time! Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were amazed. The sets included castles, forests, caves, and even an evil wizard's lair. Everyone was in costume, and people were rushing around all over the place. Silver Spoon was the one who spotted Tessa Royal in the mess of it all, right at center stage where she belonged. "Its going to look even better with me by her side!" Diamond Tiara thought aloud. Silver Spoon nodded in agreement.

"I wonder what role I'm going to get!" Silver Spoon pondered in excitement. The two galloped full speed to center stage where Tessa Royal greeted them with warm smiles.

"Hey Girls! Good to see you. I'm a bit busy working over some last minute details, but you can go with my production assistant Chase Clip. He will show you to your joined dressing rooms, give you the scripts, and all the important stuff. See you around!" Tessa introduced Chase and continued back to staring at her script.

"Hey guys! I'm Chase, nice to meet you girls. Okay, your dressing room is just right behind the curtain, follow me." Chase led them behind the curtains, and into a dressing room. It looked like any other of the dressing rooms, but a bit smaller. Diamond Tiara was a bit disappointed, but she was just glad to be in the play. Chase handed them their parts of the script and left them to get ready for the show, which was starting in only two hours. "I know its short notice, but if you two can get these few lines down, that would be great. Ta ta!"

Diamond looked over her script. Her character had an illness that prevented her from talking, and she only has two lines at the end. Simple enough. Silver Spoon playing Diamond's top maid who shared the same ailment. The two were glad that they got good parts and didn't have to do that much work. "This is so cool!" Silver Spoon looked around their shared dressing room, and spotted two dresses hanging on a rack. "Hey, are these for us?" Silver Spoon took them off the racks and handed the dress with Diamond's name on it to her. Even in a servant's costume, Silver Spoon looked great. "How's your's?"

Diamond Tiara put on her dress. It was pearly white with gold and royal blue accents on it. Purple and pink lace trailed around it's sides. It was the prettiest dress diamond tiara has ever seen! "Mine is so awesome! Its probably going to be the show stopper of everything! And nothing is going to ruin this!" Diamond Tiara danced all around the dressing room in her new costume. She quickly regained her posture and continued to practice reading the script. It wasn't long before Silver Spoon left once more to get ice cream. Diamond Tiara had only waved good-bye to Silver Spoon before Bell Royal placed a hoof behind the closing door.

"I see you're practicing for MY role," Bell sneered. She walked menacingly around Diamond Tiara. "You're probably gonna mess it up anyway. You're luck that dress fits you. I probably would've looked better in it anyway." The snotty girl flipped and swished her mane around, trying to be elegant.

"Beat it Bell! I've got the part, and I'm going to do better than you ever could have!" Diamond Tiara insulted back. Bell didn't back down. She glared harder at the little pony.

"We'll see how great your performance is...break a leg," Bell Royal slammed the door behind her.

Silver Spoon came bursting in through the door just a half hour before the play was about to start. Diamond Tiara glanced at her friend questioningly. Silver Spoon clearly was super serious about the ice cream. She had sprinkles all over her face and her hoofs were clearly red from clenching the spoons too hard during a brain freeze. Silver always preferred her ice cream in a cup rather than a cone. Diamond Tiara could never understand why. The pony made a mess eating no matter what utensil or plate or cone she used. "Where have you been? The show is starting soon. I refuse to have my best maid looking like a Blank Flanked Dairy Drenched Beast!" Diamond was very cross. How could she, such a respectable, young, beautiful, talented, cutie marked pony have such a clumsy, messy, unsatisfying friend? "You better have a good reason for this!"

"Oh, I do Diamond Tiara! Look!" Silver Spoon turned around to proudly show her cutie mark. It was a dainty spoon with a little ribbon on top. Diamond Tiara's anger was lifted slightly due to this. She was prepared to give her friend a good lecturing about the importance of having a cutie mark. Bell Royal was right about one thing: you just can't get any respect around here without one. Blanks were for silly fillies. She was important, and important people do not have not important friends.

Diamond Tiara gave a loud sigh as she dragged Silver Spoon to the mirror. She wasn't going to let her lecture prep go to waste. "I'm glad Silver, very. But you gotta get that we are important ponies! We've always been but now I see that we need to prove it! Cutie marks was the first step. Now its onto glory! We definitely gotta show Tessa Royal that we are better at being sisters than Bell Royal would ever be! This is about Tessa seeing that we are great ponies. I can't have you just running around being messy all the time! We are from now on fancy ponies. We do fancy things and hang around fancy people. Especially Tessa Royal. Are you prepared to be fancy with me?" Diamond Tiara held out a hoof, the show that she meant business. She was destined to one up every single pony who got in her way, and she was gonna prove it to all of Equestria!

Silver Spoon felt intimidated by Diamond Tiara. This wasn't like her, but Silver knew she would never be as bright as Diamond Tiara was. How else was she supposed to get in close with Tessa Royal? Silver nodded her head in agreement and bumped Diamond Tiara's hoof. Diamond smirked and pushed Silver Spoon in front of the mirror.

"Look at you Silver Spoon. You're a mess," Diamond Tiara made Silver Spoon look at herself in the mirror. A wave of shame came over Silver Spoon. She held her head down as a response. "Its okay. I can fix this. Go clean yourself up and meet me back down here. Go! NOW!" Diamond Tiara ordered Silver Spoon to go back up to her awesome suite and get cleaned up. Chase Clip popped his head in to warn Diamond Tiara about the show. Fifteen minutes left before curtain. "Hurry up Silver Spoon!" Diamond muttered under her breath when Chase left. She continued pacing around for a good five minutes before Silver Spoon came dashing back in, looking way more respectable.

"Good. Now hurry! The show is about to start!" Diamond pushed Silver Spoon into her dress and they dashed out. The curtain was about to rise and they were still a good few horse leaps behind! Silver Spoon outran Diamond Tiara. "Wait up!" she hissed. The curtain was rising fast. Diamond Tiara was so close to the stage! Tessa was standing right there, waiting for her! It was so close. The fame, the glory! The....BAM!

Diamond was flat on the floor. The whole audience could see her! She heard a sinister laugh and looked behind her. It was Bell Royal! She tripped her! Diamond Tiara got up and brushed the dirt off her dress. "I...I..uh," Diamond was so embarrassed! Her family was right in the front row! A few ponies laughed in the audience. Tessa glared at Diamond a little, but continued on with the play.

After many standing ovations, the play was finally over. Diamond Tiara was in her dressing room once more when Tessa Royal and Bell Royal came in. "I'm disappointed in you, Diamond Tiara. I gave you one thing to do: stand still and follow me around. How could you mess this up?" Tessa stressed her voice.

"What? I didn't fall on purpose!" Diamond defended herself. "It was Bell! She's the one who tripped me!" Diamond Tiara glared at Bell Royal, who was wearing a super smug look. Almost too smug....

"Stop trying to make my sister look bad, Miss Tiara! I left her in her room before the show started. There is no way she could have tripped you in time for the show. I can't believe I trusted you with one of the biggest plays of the season!" Tessa sighed at herself. She left as quickly as she came in with Bell hugging her side. She swished her mane again as the siblings left.

Diamond's face was burning red. These ponies are not allowed to make fun of me! How dare they? I was supposed to be a star! Silver Spoon came dashing in with her parents. "Diamond! Are you okay? I can't believe Bell Royal tripped you!" Silver Spoon shook Diamond Tiara by the hooves. "Hello? Diamond? Are you alright? You look a little red..."

Diamond Tiara's parents looked worried as well. "Diamond, are you alright? You look red as a tomato! What happened? Do you have a fever?" Diamond Tiara's mother started to inspect her daughter for a fever. "Diamond? Can you talk? I know you were embarrassed about the play, but its fine! You can just ask Tessa to tell Bell to apologize. I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose," Diamond Tiara's mom started to brush her mane when Diamond burst into tears.

"I want them gone! I want Tessa and Bell Royal out of here! Out of this hotel, out of Equestria!" Diamond sobbed. "I want her career ruined!" Diamond Tiara started bawling on the floor and kicking her hooves around. Her parents and Silver Spoon looked worried.

"I don't get it Diamond. I saw Tessa leaving your room. Didn't she apologize?" Silver Spoon asked. She went back out the door to see Tessa talking to reporters with her sister. "There are news ponies out there!"

"Diamond Tiara, please, tell us what happened," her mother cooed. Diamond's mother nodded at her husband to tell him to fetch Diamond's grandfather. "Its alright. We can sort this out!" Diamond's mother scooped up her daughter and sat her back down on a chair. Diamond calmed down, but she was still crying by the time her grandfather arrived.

"Diamond! What happened?" Her grandfather looked around the room. "You all said this was an emergency!" Diamond's mother stood up and walked over to the hotel owner. "What?" he asked worriedly. Before anyone could speak up, Diamond began to tell her tale.

"Tessa came in and accused me of making her look bad! Everyone knows its Bell Royal who tripped me! I want her career ruined! Soil her name! Do whatever it takes! That will teach them to mess with this family!" Diamond screamed as she ended her sentence. Everyone was astonished.

Filthy Rich spoke up. "Diamond, we can't just ruin some famous pony's career. Maybe we can get her to apologize. Please calm down." Diamond Tiara glared at him. She glanced over at Silver Spoon.

"I'm leaving." Diamond Tiara grabbed Silver Spoon and ran out. They didn't stop until they were behind the second curtain, which separated the backstage from the main stage. "Silver! Think. How can we ruin Tessa Royal's acting?" She looked through the curtain to see Tessa Royal and Bell. They were talking about her and how she messed up. Diamond's face became red with fury again until Silver Spoon spoke.

"The fans!" Silver whispered excitedly. She pointed to a group of ponies who were just about their age. Diamond looked questioningly at Silver Spoon. "What? You wanted fame so I brought some ponies backstage to watch! They're from pretty cool families. I bet we can get them to help! They saw what happened. I know it!"

Diamond's frown turned into a sneer as she smiled devilishly. "This is only the beginning.."

After telling the tale to Diamond Tiara's pony fans, word spread quickly of Tessa's actions. She became known as a liar and her career was ruined.

Diamond Tiara was sympathized with, but had to move back to her hometown in Ponyville after the summer ended.

Bell Royal faced a fate not different from her sister. Her popularity left her as her sister's career went downhill. She lost many friends.

The Royal sisters moved back to their hometown in Baltimare where they were left with a bad reputation.

Tessa later had to leave to work on a Rock Farm, travelling constantly trying to move rocks. Bell was left alone at home where she got a boring job at a cafe.

Diamond Tiara really did get the last laugh when visiting Baltimare one fine summer, staying at another grand hotel. She saw Bell Royal on her way back from work.

"Well, if it isn't the great Bell Royal! Didn't know a show pony like you had to find work,"

"I won't be like this for long,"

"Not if I have anything to say about it,"

"You probably don't,"

"Gee, this reminds me of the last time you tried to beat me. I wonder how that ended"
