Through the shadows a bipedal creature wearing a black outfit and some ragged shoes, covering his head was a ragged hood mixed with many dark colored leather, a leather pouch on his hip, and a black cape draped over his left shoulder was walking on the rooftop of one of the Canterlot buildings. His piercing icy blue eyes scanning his surrounding watching every noble pony passing by from their get together, parties, or social gatherings. The creature backed up and started to leave the area till he heard some noise from the alleyway between the buildings he is on and the one next door.

"Hum?" the creature’s attention diverted in the direction the noise came from.

He walked over and looked down and saw a trio of ponies on was searching through the garbage while the other two which both were female were laying against the wall across. One was a mother with a filly next to her cuddling her mother who was wearing a long robe. The creature noticed a small movement in the robe and the mother removed the top showing another young filly who was sleeping. The wife smiled at it and the other pony seeming to be the father turned around and smiled at the young one and nuzzling it with his face and smiled towards his wife who in return smiled at him. They all nuzzled together for warmth with each other. The creature looks at them feeling a sense of longing at seeing the family so close together despite the circumstances they are in.
He notices the figures of the family as it seems like they hadn't eaten for a while as the father seems quite worn and thin, and the mother looking tired, the creature then heard a rumbling noise and saw that the filly was shaking and nuzzled further into her mother’s robe and the father frowned seeming to be growing concerned for his families weakened state. The creature moves back and stands there for a few seconds till his hidden eyes gazed upwards and gazes at the royal castle with the sun beginning to set behind the castle giving it a glowing state. The creature looks back at the family below once more and steps back a few steps and runs across the rooftop and onto the next one over and continues this way making his way to the castle.

In the Canterlot castle in the royal throne room Celestia was going throughout the day doing her royal duties to answer her little ponies’ requests and seeing if it's something to take into account or not while maintaining her control over the sun for its final click till the evening moon for Luna to take over.

An earth pony was standing with a brown fur and brown mane asking princess Celestia who was sitting on her royal throne with a loving gaze and motherly smile "Princess Celestia if it would be alright would it be possible for Cloudsdale to provide more rain for our village in the southern region? We have been having a dry season and not many rain clouds were near the village. We would be very grateful if you could send some clouds to the village to help us make some rain for our crops to grow."

"Of course my little pony I will request Cloudsdale to provide the rain clouds your village will need to give plenty of water to the fields and citizens that reside there. You must have come a long way from your village." Celestia gazed at the stallion with a warm motherly smile and shifted her gaze towards the guards standing on each side of her throne.
"Guards please escort this gentle colt to the dining hall and provide him with the necessary supplies for his journey back, and guide him to one of the castle guest rooms I’m sure the trip from his homeland to Canterlot must have made him exhausted.” The guard nodded and trotted towards the stallion who was surprised at the generosity and kindness from their princess.

"Princess there is no need for you to-" the Stallion was saying till he was interrupted by Celestia who still had her motherly smile on.

"Nonsense my subjects are my pride and joy of seeing a strong and peaceful nation and I will make sure to care for all of them as their leader and princess. I assure you that it is no trouble for our staff or me so please take what you need for your trip back, get some well-deserved rest, and return to your family and friends in the morning. I must commend you for your courage to travel all this way from your homeland to Canterlot to ensure the condition of your village. I am certain that your fellow pony villagers are proud to have a brave stallion such as you as one of their own.” Princess Celestia said with a warm smile and caring eyes and the Stallion was still surprised and bowed to her saying

"Thank you so much your Highness. Truly your kindness and generosity knows no bounds." He was then escorted out with the guards and left for the supplies for his trip back home and his sleeping quarters for tonight.

Celestia sees her subject leave the throne room and another guard approaches her. "Your highness that is the last of your visitors for today."

Celestia looks at the guard with a warm smile and said "Thank you for telling me this." She then sit's up and then starts walking down from her throne and through the hallway door. As soon as she left the door she was followed by two guards who were stationed outside of the royal room on each of her sides. "I look forward to a little snack with Luna after a day's worth of royal duties." Celestia said as she walks down the hall towards the dining hall.

The creature from before arrives at the foot of the castle wall separating the castle from the city. He hides around the corner of the wall and peeks out towards the front of the castle entrance and sees two stoic guards there looking straight ahead into nothingness. He then looks upwards and notices a couple Pegasus guards were guarding the upper walls and a few more guards were flying in the sky as well scanning the surrounding area. The creature looks towards the wall and he bends over and slides his hand scraping off dirt and picks up quite a large rock and stuffed it into his pocket. From there he removed some brown leather gloves with a small hole on the top of it and slight square box on the side of his left wrist, and a similar feature to his right gloves as well, on both gloves a small pouch is seen on the palm of both hands, and seemingly odd patterns on the finger tips making them cling to the wall and he puts them on. He tugs them making sure they are secure before making his way up the wall with the sticky fingertip patterns and scales the wall and holding onto sticking out rocks when available. When he reaches the top he then hangs on his left arm sticking his right into his pocket and takes out the rock he had before. He observes the guards pattern and then when he felt it right he tosses it to the farther corner of the wall and hits the side of the wall and it landed in a bush catching the guard’s attention and dragging in more guards to the scene. The creature took the chance and infiltrated the castle while the guards are distracted and he jumps over the wall and then scales the wall downwards and then he jumps onto the ground and hiding in the shadow's to avoid attention as he stalks his surrounding area he smells something tasty and something sweet as well. He then looks around and starts to stalk towards the smell.

Soon Princess Celestia came into the dining hall where it was all in glorious splendor with plenty of lighting and a long royal table with her sister Princess Luna at the other side of the table. Princess Luna notices her sister's presence and smiles her way as Celestia approaches Luna wearing her own smile. Celestia stops at the other side of the table and motions her guards to leave her side to which they bowed and walked back to the front of the dining hall door.

Celestia looks towards her sister and asks "So did you enjoy your morning rest Luna?"

Luna responded with a smile "oh yes we are fully rested and are prepared for the evening royal duties that will call for us tonight."

Celestia giggles slightly and smiles "Well I am glad to see you are ready, I'm sure our little snack will be sure to help you out once it arrives." Luna giggles slightly as well before saying.

"Little snack? Dear sister you consume a 3 layered sponge cake with plenty of butterscotch cream and fruits and you call that a 'Little Snack'?" Celestia frowns nervously as she looks to the side with blushes on her side cheeks.

"So I enjoy cake leave me alone." Luna laughs at her sister's nervous expression and they continued their chat as they await their sweet snack that will soon come.

As the creature was stalking through the garden he soon comes across an open window. He sniffs the air and smells something delicious coming from it. He sneaks to the edge of the window, jumps to the ledge and peaks inside. As he scans the room’s surrounding he was surprised to see a Griffon baking there instead of a pony and then saw double layered sponge cake with many decorations on it and he was surprised by the sheer size of it as it reaches to half his height. He then notices a tray of perfectly shaped kitten brownies on the side steam slightly signifying it was freshly baked. The chef wasn't looking and the creature slipped in through the window and hid behind a sack of potatoes in the corner of the room. He observes the chef making final preparations to the cake by adding some sprinkles to the cake and adding detailed frosting to the brownies. He then covered them with silver covers and he placed them on a cart that was near the creature. The Chef turned around seemingly going towards the fridge and the creature took this chance he had. He sneaked silently towards the trays and lifted the smaller lid and saw the brownies still pristine and steaming with detailed frosting art. He took the brownies from the tray and popped the lid back on and hid in his corner before the chef saw him. The chef came back with fresh milk and black tea. He placed them down before he noticed the smell of his brownies.

The Chef sniffed the air "That's odd why do I still smell the brownies?" He looked at the lid and wanted to lift it but he saw the clock and knew he must hurry. He shook of his suspicion and started to walk towards the dining hall with the refreshment and one dessert and one empty tray in tow. The creature sighed in relief as he started sneaking towards the window and got out and landed below and hid behind a brush. He surveyed the area and started to sneak his way through the guards. When he reached the garden edge he noticed different guards and it seems the day guard’s left and new night guards came in. He noticed their patterns are different and he had to take extra precaution. He sneaked and weaved through shrubs and surveying the area before he moves to ensure he doesn't get caught.

Celestia still continued her talk with Luna till they noticed the Griffon chef came in with the food cart and the two dome platters one larger than the other. The griffon speaking in a heavy French accent presented the dishes along with the refreshment. "For you your majesties I have prepared a lighter but tastier dish for you this lovely evening." The Griffon grabbed the larger of the two platters and placed it in front of Celestia as she waited hungrily for her evening snack. The Griffon lifted the dish and presented the double layered sponge cake with plenty of sugar syrup coated fruit and plenty of butterscotch cream covering the entire cake.

"For you Princess Celestia I have prepared for you a sponge cake that is much thicker in taste and is light on the tongue with plenty of fruit sugar coated with the sugar syrup for the cake to shine as bright as the morning sun you shine on Equestria. As for the refreshment we have a freshly prepared Black tea to compliment the sweetness of the sponge cake and it was imported Trottingham just early this morning." The Griffon said as he pours a fresh cup of Black tea for Celestia and places it next to her cake which she hungrily sighted. She turned around and thanked the griffon.

"Thank you for this lovely evening snack Gustave. It even smells amazing."

Gustave bowed and accepted her compliment "but of course only the finest for our fair rulers." Gustave went back and picked the other platter seeming much lighter than he felt before but he shakes it off as nothing’s wrong. He places the dish in front of Princess Luna who also looks at it hungrily. Gustave then unveils the dish for her "And for the Lovely Princess Luna I present to you a set of caramel pretzel brownies designed with...!" Gustave was in shock when he looked at the empty plate below him and Luna was just as equally as shocked as she stared at the empty plate presented in front of her. She becomes irritated narrows her eyes towards Gustave who was visibly sweating and confused as to what has just transpired.

Luna said "Gustave explain as to why thou have presented an empty plate to us?" Luna stern with her voice which makes Gustave lock up his body as he hesitantly looks at Luna's piercing eyes.

Gustave was very nervous and confused as he speaks "I don't know, I can assure you I have placed your evening snack on this very plate and even covered it with my own two griffon eyes. How?...!!!" Gustave than remembers that despite the covering being closed he could still smell the aroma of the brownies he thinks back to when he was in the kitchen and then realizes what could have possibly happened.

During that time Gustave was presenting the dishes for the princesses the creature was shadowing past the new guards but it was extremely difficult as these guards are more cautious as the previous guards before and the brownies seem to give his position way fast so he has to move quickly from his previous position to another. He soon came across the same wall as before and notices that there were more guards there and he knew that he won't make it through like before. He turns back and sneaks through the guards again and returns to the kitchen from before. As he enters the kitchen once more he notices that the brownies are starting to lose their warmth. He grabs a cloth and wraps the brownies in it to prevent it from getting any colder. As he scavenges the kitchen for anything else he notices a jug of water near the fridge, he pulls out a leather canteen he had with him and fills it to the brim. He spots a loaf of fresh wheat baguettes bread on the counter, he takes out a small scrap metal knife and takes a small slice of bread and puts it in his pouch. He then spots another cloth and wraps it around his face to prevent his identity being fully exposed. He approaches the door and then peeks out for any guards that may be around and saw none and then he came out and started walking towards the end of the hall as he approaches the door he notices noise coming from it and stops to listen in on it.

Gustave then turns back to Luna "I think we have a food thief on the castle ground." Luna looks at him with squinted eyes.

"What is your proof to back this claim of yours?” Luna asks Gustave while Celestia watches intently as she has yet to take a bite of her cake or even a sip of tea. She is just as curious as to what made Gustave claim there being a thief in the castle.

Celestia speaks "I'm fairly certain that our castle guards would have noticed a thief come into the castle and the night guards are now in position meaning our security would be much tighter than in the day since our night guards are more attuned to the night and are more sensitive to sound then the day guard."

Gustave than speaks to Celestia with a more higher tone of panic "But I'm certain there must be one I swear on my pride as a chef that I have placed those brownies for her highness princess Luna on that plate. I took my eyes off of it for only one minute to gather the refreshments." Luna then thinks hard as she speaks her opinion.

"It is a very slim possibility. A skilled thief could sneak and take their target items quite swiftly and silently... if there were any skilled thieves around. We haven't have many thievery at all in Canterlot and those that do are mostly commoners scourging for food for their families and we even provide free food for our poor subjects three times every week to ensure that we can attend to all our citizens even the most poorest of them we can't ensure plenty enough for everyone but most of them should be well fed. Even if they resort to thievery stealth isn't exactly the most suited for us ponies as our hooves make quite loud noises." Luna pointed out pointing out her own hooves emphasizing her point. “The only kinds who can pull off being a thief are the Griffons and Diamond dogs but there hasn’t been any of them around Canterlot for years with the exception of you Gustave.”

Gustave began sweating as he utterly doesn't have any more claims to back him up other than the aroma. Then he stops as he smells something it's faint but he smells his brownies "What?" Luna is confused at Gustave's behavior.

"Are thou alight?" Luna asks but Gustave doesn't respond as he makes his way to the front door.

The creature notices the noise coming towards the door and scales the wall jumps up and tries to hide on the ceiling and crawls his way to the other way to prevent being spotted. Gustave comes out the door and sniffs the air. Celestia and Luna followed and watches as Gustave sniffs the air with his eyes closed to concentrate on the smell more. Gustave starts to pinpoint the smell and when he opens his eyes he sees the creature still on the ceiling getting away. Gustave practically shouted "There he is!!!" pointing with his claws and Luna and Celestia looked in the direction and saw the creature falling after hearing the shout and started running quickly.

They were both surprised at this new creature and they quickly composed themselves and Luna said "Thou shall not escape with my snack!" Luna points her horn at the creature running figure and shot out a magical burst of magic. The creature turns at the sound and spotted the incoming magic and yet remained composed. Luna was confused as to why the creature isn’t dodging her magic, she was shocked when she saw why. The creature extended his hands and let the magic hit but instead of discharging it was nullified and the magic disappeared. Luna, Gustave, and Celestia were surprised with what this creature has just done. Still in their state of shock they failed to notice the creature still running.

Gustave told Celestia "We must warn the guards" Celestia nodded her head and she used her magic to telepathically tell all the guards of their location and the thief that was in the castle presence.

The guards came in and the creature was dodging and weaving through the guards around the corner he soon meets five guards who were blocking his path and he saw a chance. The creature ran charging towards the raised spears. The guards were waiting for him but next the creature turned and did a back flip kicking down a spear of a guard and landing on it and then he tornado kicks the guard in the face and using the guards face as a leverage he jumps out of harm’s way and lands on the other side of the guards and continues running down the hall.
The guards were surprised at the creature’s abilities and so were the princesses but they noticed he was getting away and weren't allowing a thief to run especially Luna who wasn't going to let a thief run off with her snacks. The creature soon came across another set of guards both appeared on one side and another on his other side. They were trying to pincer him and they charged towards each other and at the last moment the creature jumped up and the guards stopped before they collided with each other but weren't successful with the split kick that the creature smashed on both their muzzles.
The guards fell and the creature landed and continued his way out of the castle and saw yet another guard which was a Pegasus flying towards him with his spear and the creature ran straight ahead charging the guard at the moment before impact the creature did a forward flip using his first kick to knock out the spear in the guards hand and uses his second kick to kick him in the chin which connected and the guard plummeted down to the floor and the creature continued on.

The princesses were surprised so many guards falling and the creature still running on. Luna looks at her sister Celestia and asks "Sister do you know what that creature is?"

Celestia was just as confused as Luna was as she herself doesn't know "I'm sorry but I don't know I never witnessed a creature like that before." Celestia in her mind thinks "But just where did this creature come from?" Gustave was not present as he stayed behind to ensure that the thief didn't come back to steal the cake as well.

The chase continued and the creature was cornered between two hallways and windows on each of his side. Celestia steps forward "you are surrounded creature please cease this chase and we shall talk over your actions that have been brought this nights.” The creature stands there holding the brownies in his arms and he just stood there. Celestia took this as a sign of him surrendering, Luna steps forward and walks towards the creature as the guards took a side of the creature.

Princess Luna speaks "thy self shall speak of his action towards us once my sister and I finish our snack for the evening to which we kindly ask thy creature to return our treat." Luna said pointing towards the brownies. She was irritated and agitated that the creature not only stole her snack but even knocked out her own guards. The creature only took a deep breath in, sighed and spoke with no change in tone of his voice.

"I'm afraid destiny has different plans for me tonight." A guard on his right speaks aggressively pointing his spear at his face.

"Watch what you say! You are surrounded you are in no position to ta-" The guard was interrupted as the creature used his legs and kicked the spear through the window to his right and the creature Aerial's over the guard and lands on his back and jumps out the window that was broken and landed on the corner roof top ledge.
Everyone saw the creature standing there with the brownies still in his arms. He then placed the brownies inside his pouch which was now stuffed. He then looks at the crowd in front of him and he then speaks "As I enjoyed the night tonight I must take my leave." as he steps back before he falls he speaks "I'll be back." and he falls and plummets down to the ground.

The guards and the princess were shocked at this and looked out the window and then saw the creature using the cape he had on him and used it as a parachute to glide his way down. Princess Luna was quick to react and told her Pegasus guards "Quick fly out and retrieve him we must not let him escape." All the guards reacted to Princess Luna’s words and dived towards creature who was slowly getting past the walls and towards the city.

The creature noticed noises and looked behind him and saw many of the guards coming for him but instead of fearing the worst he smiled and he let his cape drop and him along with it while he turned around to face the group of guards who were surprised to see him drop his only source of flight. Little did they know what the Creature did was not what they expected to be a form of surrender. The guards all started to speed up and all of them were very close to the creature but before they can reach him the creature stretched his hands wide and did a swift motion to clap.
When he clapped his hands everything around everyone became really bright and they couldn't hear anything but a loud ringing in their ears but the creature could and he turned once more and saw his position was slightly over the top of a building with a smooth ledge and he took his chance he used his cape once more and slowed his descent and when he came close he retracted it and slid on the rooftop and then he jumped off the ledge and jumped building to building and slipped into an alleyway to hide from the guards and the princesses as they recover from the flash bang.

Princess Luna recovered and saw that the thief got away and saw that all her guards were still stunned by that loud noise and flashing bright light. Then Princess Celestia recovered and saw that the thief had got away. Celestia looks at her sister and says "It seems that our evening snack will have to be cancelled tonight."

Luna turns to her sister with a smile and said "It is alright we can share your snack together. If you don't mind that is?"

Celestia looks at her sister then smiles and responds “Yes of course. Let us return to the dining hall and have our little snack. We shall deal with this issue in the morning.”
Luna then turns to all the guards who have recovered and told them all "You are to return to your post and prevent anymore infiltration's today. We don't need another thief stirring up more trouble." All the guards were real down that they have not only let a thief escape but even failed the princesses as guards to protect the castle. They all went back to their post but became more resilient to ensure it doesn't happen twice in one night.
Celestia and Luna walked back to the dining hall where Gustave was still there protecting the cake and ensuring it's still there. Celestia thanked Gustave for protecting the cake and Luna apologizes for her former accusations towards Gustave who replied saying that there was no need to apologize. He splits the cake into equal proportions and served them to Luna and Celestia and they enjoyed their snack as Gustave returns to the kitchen.

While eating Luna was in deep thought of the thief, just thinking of him was irritating her to no ends seeing him not only steal her snack’s but even taking out her night guards and even escaping right in front of her eyes. “You better prepare yourself thief, for when we next meet you shall not escape from my wrath.” Luna biting down hard on not only the cake but even the silverware.

Celestia was too busy eating her cake to notice Luna’s actions and just enjoys it hoping it will lift her mood for tonight after the thief escaped. She wonder "Just who is he?" she remembers the creature stopping Luna's spell like it was nothing "How in Equestria did that creature+ stop Luna’s magic it doesn’t make any sense? Never in history has there been a being who can stop magic not even Starswirl the Bearded. Just who is this creature?" They both continued eating and chatting with each other till it was Luna's shift and she left for the evening royal duties. While Celestia went to her room to rest up after today's sudden events.

The creature looked from the alleyway using his cape to camouflage with the shadow and looked at the sky and saw no guards coming. He breathed with a sigh of relief and removed his makeshift mask as it was making it hard to breath. He then scales the building in front of him and goes to the roof. He looks across the city and saw the building from where he started. He jumps over building from building and lands on the same roof top before and he looked down and saw the family still there but the filly was shivering in her father's arms, who was trying to keep her warm from the harsh cold night. The creature jumped from the roof top, slid down the wall and jumped midway to the ground with a loud thud alarming the family especially the father who was quick to react by placing his young filly onto her mother and stood between his family and the unknown creature.

The creature upon closer inspection saw that the father was an earth pony and the wife was a Pegasus. The filly was an earth pony and the little filly who was wrapped in her mother's robe was wrapped in cloth so it was too hard to tell what race it was. The father spoke "Who are you?"

The creature said "Don't worry I am not here to harm you." The father became more suspicious of this new creature and he was very edgy right now.

"Then why are you here?" bracing himself for an attack should he need to. The creature reached back making the father ready himself but the creature brought out the wrapped brownies and canteen and the father was confused at this object he brought out. The creature bent over then placed the brownies down and then the canteen on top and slid it to the father who was very cautious.

The creature stood up and said "I think your family need’s it much more than me." The father stood ready but he took the canteen and felt it filled to the brim and then he unwrapped the cloth and saw and smelled the brownies and saw the most incredible brownies he ever saw. Despite how long it has been since the creature took the brownies they were still warm and fresh. The earth pony looked up and saw a smile on the creatures face and he looked back and forth between the two and he couldn't believe what the creature is giving him.

"Are you sure? I mean don't you want this for yourself?" obviously seeing the pony in doubt the creature assured him by saying.

"I'm am certain of it, after all you have a family to feed and I have something for myself.” He says as he then approaches the family and the father let him pass and he saw him drop down at his young filly who was squeezing her mother and the mother protecting her. The creature takes off his cape and spreads it and cover’s the filly and her mother to provide them warmth "I'm certain that you will need this more than I do as well." The filly was surprised at first and then smiles at him and snuggles at the extra warmth that she was given and the mother was surprised and shocked at his generosity of giving his personal clothing to them complete strangers to him. He then walks back past the father who was in further shock as the creature just gave his cape, too ponies he never met.

As the creature gets ready to climb the wall the earth pony shouted "Wait." The creature looks back "Please tell me your name?"

The creature smiles saying his name "Phantom... just Phantom" Phantom then jumps and climbs the wall and jumps over it and heads to his own home.

The father couldn't believe what has happened a creature of unknown origin came and gave his family refreshment, food, and his cape for his young filly and asked for nothing in return he couldn't believe what has happened and he then realized his family and he turned to them taking the canteen and brownies with him. The wife was curious as to what happened "Honey, what did that creature give you?"

The husband smiled "A little something for all of us." then presenting the unique brownies to his wife and filly who were both giddy about the treats and they all took pieces of the brownies and were in awe of the taste as it was out of this world and they were all happy and the mother took some and gave it to the little one as it took it and enjoyed the taste as well. They all took drinks from the canteen and were all enjoying a good meal together. After the meal the filly nuzzled and wrapped herself in Phantom's cape and was really warm and felt safe with it. The mother was happy to see her little ones happy and her family having a meal again after a long time she rocked her little filly in her arm to sleep and soon falling asleep herself in her husband’s embrace and the father looked at the building where Phantom left. He smiled and said "Thank you Phantom."

Phantom jumps building to building and arrived at the edge of the city and landed on an abandoned building. On the roof top a makeshift tent was made there and a tarp covering the whole room. Phantom took his hood off revealing his White silver hair that glistened in the moonlight and his icy blue eyes. He then took his pouch off and took the bread out and he ate it as he walked to his hammock. He finished the bread and took a canteen he had before on the side of the hammock and drank to wash it all down. "Heww..." He then lies down and looks through the hole in the tarp and it shows the moon glistening in its all inspiring beauty. Looking at the moon he remembers the Princess of the moon. He then thinks "So that was Princess Luna." He remember Luna when he saw her up close. "She looked pretty adorable." Phantom thought as he smiled and he yawned "yaawwwn... Time to hit the hay." Phantom then laid on his hammock and looked at the moon and smiled in comfort of its lights and soon fell asleep.

Chapter 2
Princesses Decision.
The evening night rolled by and the dawn of a new day has passed. Noble ponies coming out of their homes with their heads held high heading towards cafés for some morning tea. One pony in particular looked at the castle and saw something amiss with it. He looked it over and saw nothing missing but he felt like something wasn’t right about the castle. The pony ignored it and went on his way. Other noble ponies also felt something was amiss with the castle but saw nothing wrong with it. All the ponies stopping and looking at the castle started to draw in others into the circle until they all were looking and trying to find out what was wrong. The sun was rising from behind the castle like it usually does, the windows all gleamed their colorful lights to the city… one of the castle windows was not glowing.

Ponies stared at the non-glowing window curious as to why it was not shining like the rest of the windows, what’s more the window was positioned to the top eastern part of the castle which should be the ideal spot for the light to shine through. The ponies were starting to get curious and some started to question if something was wrong at the castle.

Celestia was in the royal throne room with her sister Luna and were discussing about last night’s break in.
“What should we do sister? We can’t reveal that the castle had a break in from an unknown species and that the guards were unsuccessful in
their attempt to apprehend said creature.” Luna said with slight annoyance but also concern.

Celestia listened to Luna’s concern. She was also concerned for the well-being for their city as this creature was able to steal Luna’s midnight snack from the Royal castle though it was just brownies but also able to get in and escape from the guards that took their positions really seriously despite her protest to telling them to relax during their patrols. What concerned her most was when she first saw the creature, Luna shot a powerful lightning spell at it but the creature simply canceled it out or was it absorbed? She feared that this creature may possess similar abilities to Tirek to absorb magic and make itself stronger. Tirek caused a great disaster back near 1500 years ago to nearly take over Equestria by absorbing all the unicorns’ magic and making it his own. His plans were foiled by Luna and her and they sent him to Tarturus to ensure he doesn’t cause harm to Equestria again. Now there is a creature who might have the same ability as Tirek out there and they don’t even know what its intentions are.

“-ter, -ister, -Sister!” Celestia was so deep in thought that she didn’t hear Luna who was trying to get her sister’s attention.

Celestia snapped out of her though and asked Luna “Yes? What is it Luna?”

Luna’s face showed concern for her sister “Are you alright sister? We have been yelling for quite a while to have your thoughts on this creature but you seem to have been in your own world.”

Celestia sighed “Forgive me Luna I was just thinking about that creature last night as well.” Her face turning to that of concern as her previous though came back to her.

Luna nodded her head in understandment “Well it would come as a shocker to have an unknown species infiltrate the castle, defeat my guards, and escape capture while robbing me of my brownies. However I don’t believe it’s worth getting all worked up about, our guards won’t let this blunder lie down and are sure to protect the castle even better, though it will be quite annoying to have them around so long.”

Celestia listened to her sister but “I am certain that our guards will be more alert now.” Celestia got off her throne and started to walk to a window at the end with Luna following her. They both stop in front of a stained glass mirror with a white, and dark blue alicorn positioned next to each other and shooting a ray of light from their horns to a creature with half a body of a horse and an unknown species.

Celestia eye’s started to fill with worry and Luna caught that look “What is it that you’re thinking sister?” Luna said to her sister.

Celestia looked at Luna with a concerned look on her face “The infiltration of the castle last night was sort of a shock but what really shocked me was what that creature did when we first saw him.” She took her sight back to the window and Luna followed suit and saw what she was
looking at.

“This creature appeared out of no-where and not only escaped from the entire royal army but he even took your magic head on and wasn’t even fazed and the magic looked as if it just disappeared.” Celestia’s statement made Luna think back to last night as she clearly remembers
that creature’s action.

The creature was running after its cover was exposed and tried to escape, Luna tried to stop it with a lightning spell, she didn’t make it lethal to harm him greatly but enough to prevent him from moving. His action however was something unforeseeable as she didn’t expect him to turn and just stop her magic like it was nothing. Luna then thought to that particular moment when her magic vanished “Wait my magic just disappeared when he extended those apitures of his… Wait those apitures look familiar somehow?” Luna thought more about the creature’s limbs and seeing them looked familiar somehow. Her eyes then wandered to the stained mirror where Celestia was still looking and she saw the red Centaurus at the center of it, and when she saw it she figured out what made her sister so concerned.

Luna’s eyes widened and then looked back at Celestia “Sister you’re not suspecting that-“Celestia nodded.

“Yes I suspect that this creature might have some relation to Tirek as his ability is sort of similar to his but I don’t have concluding evidence that he does have any relation though.” Celestia said to Luna who’s eyes started to narrow.

“Sister you may not have evidence but knowing his ability is similar to an old enemy is threatening enough to Equestria we must apprehend this creature before he stirs any trouble in our midst.” Luna was anxious to get that creature as to get him for last night and also to make certain his abilities does not threaten Equestria. Celestia had a different view on this.

“Luna I think it’s best to keep this incident hidden for now we can’t let patrol’s increase in the city so soon as it will rouse suspicions and make the citizens uneasy. I also think we should see what this creature’s activities are, with his skills he’s bound to try to nab something else. His heist last night might be a warm up I can’t be sure but it’s safer to keep this hidden for now. At least until we can confirm the creature’s intentions.” Celestia told Luna

Luna was hesitant though “What if his activities becomes more dangerous, what should we do then?”

Celestia then looks towards another mirror with 6 ponies on it with rays of light shining onto a dragon like figure. “If it calls to it sister I will take full responsibility of it and we will call for the Elements of Harmony to resolve this if it get to out of hands.”

Luna was still hesitant but calmer about it. “Alright sister I will follow with what you say but I will have some guards increase patrol in the night to hopefully find the creature. I won’t have too many guards but I will have a slight increase to it. I will also participate in this search but only after my royal duties are finished. It was my guards who failed and I was also there when the creature appeared and escaped so I feel responsible for not capturing that creature. Also having their princess in their ranks might help them when the time comes when they find the creature.”

Celestia thought about it and nodded “Very well sister I will allow that but don’t get too carried away with the search we don’t want the citizens to know about this yet and we don’t want some mistakes on your royal duties due to you being anxious for searching this creature.”
Luna nods “Of course. As the sun rises, the moon must descend and I think it’s time for me to sleep. Good day sister.” Luna takes her leave as she prepares for bed and get ready for her royal duties of the night and her search for the creature. Celestia looks at the mirror once again at the six ponies before walking towards her throne thinking. “I hope we don’t have to involve them but if it comes to it I hope they are up for the task.

It was later afternoon in Canterlot the sun has reached its peak and shines down on Canterlot most of the citizens are going about their daily lives going to parties, getting lunch, or enjoying a relaxing time with themselves. In the far off distance of Canterlot around the edge of the capital city in the back side of the castle many old and tattered building lie there. Many citizens in this part of the city are out of these buildings, most are earth and Pegasus ponies, few unicorns came out as well but all of them are wearing rags and tattered clothing’s, some ponies are more thinner than others while some looked more sick than others but despite that they all looked content. Many are walking about some fetching water, some trying to do their best to look presentable to try to at least find a job in the center of the city, some were chatting with others, and some fillies were playing with others trying to have some fun while the day lasted. On top of a building further in the outskirts of the back of the city is the abandoned building. Laying in a tarp hammock is Phantom who is still sleeping but starting to arouse from his slumber as the sun is shining through the hole in his tarp roof.

*groans* “I got to find something to patch that hole.” Phantom starts to get up but his eyes remained closed as he gets out of bed he starts to stretch. Popping some bones here and there he starts to come alive and his body is starting to wake up. Phantom starts to open his eyes and he opens them slowly for them to adjust to the bright sunlight that shines down on him, he starts to walk towards the edge of the roof and his eyes are fully opened and he sees the view of the ruined back city. Despite it being poor and desolate with hardly any luxury or anything worth looking at, it was full of life and ponies coming about having the time to chat with others and enjoy talking with one another.

Phantom enjoyed this scenery when he wakes up knowing that despite the tough situation they are all in they have a connection with one another, unlike the snooty tooty ponies in Canterlot who only look after themselves and prefer to be with ponies in higher elite classes to have a piece of that glory to themselves. In this place it's poor, desolate, no noble pony would even smell the air because they claim it reeks of poverty and bad luck and would never go near even a mile near this place. Despite that it's a place full of life and friendship among it's inhabitants something that the noble ponies never seem to have in themselves despite Princess Celestia's fondness of friendship.

The princess were kind rulers towards it's citizens even to this back water part of the city but even they couldn't do much in a growing city full of noble ponies who are out for themselves, they procured food and water for the poor city but even they have limits to how much they can buy and give to the needy citizens. They didn't need to do it, they could have just left this part of the city to fend for themselves yet they help the citizens. That's something everypony loves about Celestia a fair ruler and kind to all her subjects. Phantom however didn't feel that same love, despite the citizens being happy he never felt the same towards Celestia. Yes she is fair and kind and a wise ruler but he himself doesn't feel like he could honestly 'reveal' himself to her, it's as if something about her is just preventing him from trusting her, he believes her but not to the extent of complete trust like all her subjects.

Phantom clasps his hands together as he throws them over his shoulder to stretch his back, he notices his hands felt odd and he saw he was wearing his gloves still but not only that there were large burn marks on the palms of both of them. “Thank goodness Luna shot that lightning at me when we first met, I probably wouldn't have gotten away if she hadn't.” Phantom says to himself as he observes his hands “I better get some more of those flash crystals, now that I have the attention of the royal family on me I better have them in reserves.”

Phantom starts to walk back towards his bed and he notices something amiss “Hm? Where is my …. Oh that’s right I gave it to that family last night.” Phantom realized his cape was not with him anymore and he gave it to a needing family last night. “eh they need it more than I do. Guess I’ll use this tarp for my cover today.” Phantom goes and removes the tarp from the stringing and he uses the hole in it for his face. “Huh, guess it has a use after all.” He then walks back towards the edge of the roof and starts to trace his eyes of the area. “Today’s food day guess I better get before it’s too late.”

Song that goes with Action

Phantom steps back a couple steps and then runs and jumps off the roof and grabs a pole sticking out from the side of a building and swings it to another roof while performing a back flip before landing on another roof and doing a front roll. He starts to run faster and jumps across gaps of roof tops, he needed to go left and on the way he saw a hanging lamp on a rope around the corner. He jumps off and grabs it and swings to the other side and let’s go grabbing onto the roof ledge. He brings himself up and continues his run he runs through poles and obstacles, he jumps over gaps on the roof and he jumps pipes, hurdles, and some plant pots on the roof tops. Landing on a roof top with a flight of stairs spiraling downwards Phantom jumped and slid on the railing and sliding down the stairs. Reaching the ground floor he jumps off and continues to run through the streets. The ponies were watching him all being fascinated by what he's doing but also knowing who it is, as he is known through the back city for being a big helper to ponies and caring for the more needy, he is also the only one who can run on two legs. Phantom continues running dodging through the crowds of ponies and sees crates that are stacking up against the side of a building and he runs and jumps on them running towards the top and jumps and grabs a window ledge and he climbs his way to the roof top and continues his run to the center of the back city.

He soon arrives near the center of the city but he sees a line of ponies there already and near a large black cauldron filled with a tasty smell coming out of it and drafting through the air and beside it was a large tray of small bread. Phantom smells it and it smells like tomato soup his favorite “Guess I got to pick up the pace."

Phantom smiles as he starts to drool slightly and he runs even faster and tries to rush there. His smile soon fades away as he stops on the roof top near the place where the catering chefs usually are to serve the citizens here food. At the sight of the royal guards who were clad in gold armor Phantom was curious as to why there were royal guards instead of the usual catering chefs as he see's none of them anywhere. Phantom stood jumped down from the building by landing on the side of a building and sliding down and jumps from that one to the wall of the previous building to prevent going down to fast. He then peeks out of the corner and sees the guards apparently scanning the area while the other guards are serving the food which made the citizens who were lining up uncomfortable at their hard stare and non expressing faces.

Phantom sees his predicament as an unfavorable one in his mind “Damn guess my stunt last night must have really pissed off the royal family either that or the royal guards are trying to find me to redeem themselves.” Phantom looks at the guards serving the food and the pile of bread beside it, judging from the pile size he guesses that it’s still half full but he knows he can’t expose himself and wearing a tarp will definitely rouse suspicion especially to him as he doesn't walk on four like ponies and griffons, he’s too tall to pass as a normal pony and he’s not tall enough and too thin to pass as a Minotaur figure.

Phantom sighs “Guess I’m going hungry today.” He then slumps against the wall he smells the tomato soup just taunting his appetite and his stomach is starting to give in to wanting that soup. His stomach rumbles loud letting Phantom know how hungry he is. “Uggh, I swear this starvation is going to kill me before the princesses could.” Phantom slumps against the wall trying to conserve his energy as he is running on empty. He looks towards the sky upward to take his mind off of his appetite but his stomach is starting to control his mind and is making the clouds in the sky look like food. Phantom’s mouth is watering just looking at them and is caught in a trance looking at them. He snaps out of it and cover’s himself in his tarp to get his mind off of the food.

A light brown pony who was passing by the ally who was walking towards the food line she saw somepony covered in a tarp in the ally way. She smiled as she walked towards it feeling a sense of knowing as she already knew who it was, once she reached there she peered inside she saw a face she recognized all too well.

“Why if it isn't little Spirit? Where have you been all this time?” Phantom eyes widened at the sound of his old name and knew few ponies who he told it to and only one comes to mind from where he was. He looked up and saw what he expected, a light brown earth pony with a red mane with golden eyes enters his view the female earth pony was wrapped in a slightly tattered scarf around her neck and wearing a small winter hat to cover her ears.

“Olivia is that you?” Phantom was surprised as he hadn't seen his friend Olivia for a while now and thought she moved to a village with her family by now. Last time Phantom saw Olivia and her family was months ago, and she and her family had enough money to travel towards a small town called Ponyville.

Phantom was curious as to why she was here and just asked "What are you doing here?"

Phantom couldn't believe what he was seeing he saw his friend Olivia standing right in front of him again after so long.

“Olivia? What are you doing here, I thought you and your parents were going to a place called ponyville.” Phantom said with a shocked expression followed with his confused statement.

Olivia pouted her lips when Phantom said her name “I told you already it’s not Olivia, its Olive.”

Phantom smirked at this “What’s wrong with calling you Olivia, you never had a problem with it before.”

Olivia just glared at him “That was when we were foals, I thought after all this time you would have grown up a little bit, but you’re still the same little foal I remember Spirit.”

Phantom kept his smirk “Maybe it’s cause I have a friend who is just as much of a foal as I am Olivia.”

Olivia Pout’s her cheeks again as she stomps her hoof in front of Phantom “I told you already its Olive!”

Phantom just chuckles at his friend behavior as it makes him remember the past “It’s been a long time since I had this sort of conversation, thanks Olive.” Phantom stretches his arm out from under the tarp and puts it over her ear and gave an ear scratch behind it.

Olivia’s face turned from a pout to a silly smile of bliss as she couldn't resist the blissful pleasantries of Phantom’s ear scratches.

“Damn you Phantom, I curse you for having this weaaa-pon of masss destruction.” Olivia unable to suppress her blissful feelings from the ear scratch started to show in her words as she couldn't speak without slurring her words a little. Her body involuntarily started to relax and her legs gave out and she soon landed on the ground with all 4 legs spread out.

Phantom was smiling at this as it made him remember the good old days whenever he scratches Olivia’s ears she always acted like this. Phantom however was still thinking about his first question though.

“Olivia so tell me why are you still here. I’m certain your parents didn’t leave you here and I’m certain your family would like a fresh start. So why come back to this place?” Phantom said as he removes his hand from Olivia’s ear and her face became that of concern and grief.
Olivia was hesitant in answering as she was not speaking and her eye were staring at the ground. Anypony could tell that Olivia is hesitant in
telling Phantom of this.

Olivia looks from the ground back up to Phantom but her head still hangs low. “Umm… well… If you want me to tell you, you have to promise me something.” Olivia said with her head hanging down and her eyes went back to the ground as well. Phantom was now worried for his friend and her saying to promise something must mean its serious.

“Alright well I have to know what I must promise first.” Phantom replied to her with concern filling his eyes as he started to get a bad feeling in his guts.

Olivia sighed then spoke “You see…. On the way to Ponyville we were passing a rocky mountain area… and then.

Flashback 2 months back/

Olivia and her parents were trotting along the mountain path on their way to their new home in ponyville.
Olivia’s father who was a Pegasus was pulling the cart up the hill with all his might, and Olivia’s mother who was an earth pony was helping by pushing the cart up and Olivia carrying the provisions for the trip. They soon reached the top of the mountain where it’s flat and they stop a
moment to rest.

Olivia’s father removed the harness from his back and Olivia’s mother put some wood between the wheels to prevent them from moving. The father walked to the edge of the mountain and took in the view from there.

“Woow… Olive, Blossom come take a look at this.” The two mares who were resting beside the carrier looked up to where the father was.

Blossom spoke “What is it Feather?”

Olivia spoke as well “Yeah what is Dad?”

Feather motioned them to come over “come and take a look for yourselves.”
Olivia and Blossom looked at each other then got up and started to move to where Feather was. Little did they know that there were shadows lurking behind them, hiding behind the boulders that cover the mountain top.

As soon as Olivia and Blossom arrived they were amazed and looked at the gorgeous view, the land was so green, the air smelled really fresh, the land looked fertile and there were many wildlife just moving about, and across the land in a distant view there was a small village in a distant land where the family were planning to live.

Feather was just amazed “Take a good look everyone from now on that village over there.” Feather said pointing towards the village in the distance. “Will soon be our new home, and a new life.” Olivia and Blossom were just beaming with glee at this opportunity to start anew, all of them are enthusiastic about it but Olivia as she isn’t as positive as her parents expected. Blossom was the first to notice.

“Sweetie is something the matter? Aren’t you excited we can live a new life out here in the open instead of the city of Canterlot?” Blossom was wondering as to why her daughter was not as happy as she was. Olivia just sighed.

“I am happy mom, we can start a whole new life, fresh air, a good home, a BED, and friendly neighbors everywhere unlike the noble ponies in Canterlot…. It’s just that….” Olivia’s smile soon turned into a slight frown as she rubbed her forehoves together. Blossom was wondering what was bringing her daughter down, Feather was watching his daughters face and then knew what was bringing her down.

“You wish that Spirit came with us so you don’t have to worry about him isn’t that it?” Feather said with a smirk to Olivia who slightly blushed at what her father just said.

Olivia’s face was slightly blushing “Well… it’s just that… well, he’s been with the family so long he’s like a …aaa. Brother, yes, a brother to me, and I am his big sister and I can’t help if I worry about him being all alone in Canterlot even though it was his decision to stay.”

Feather laughed really hard at the memory of it “HAHHAHA, yes I remember that one. Spirit was really stubborn about his commitment on staying in Canterlot, even when you tried to drag him away he used his teeth on a wood beam to make sure you can’t drag him any farther. HAHAHAHA!!!” Olivia blushed at the memory of her being quite the stubborn one as well when she tried to take Spirit from his place. She forcibly tried to take him with them on their journey but even her stubbornness can’t match that creature’s tenacity.

“Well I guess that’s what makes him a Spirit, he likes to stay in one place.” Olivia said with a smile returning back to her face.
Feather sighed with a smile “Well we can’t force him to come with us, I don’t know what’s keeping him in Canterlot but if he’s willing to be that
stubborn about staying I guess we can’t make him change his mind.”

Olivia just stared out at the horizon before her wondering how her new life would turn out and wondering how Spirit is holding up back in Canterlot “I just wish that we could have left him something to remember us, after all he doesn’t have anypony in Canterlot to take care of him, and I think we are the only ponies he can trust.”

Blossom spoke up “Now Olive I know you’re worried but we all know he’s not a little colt anymore he’s a stallion now, I’m sure he can take care of himself, and besides we all know what he is capable of I’m sure he won’t create a problem he can’t handle.”

Feather spoke as well to assure Olivia “And I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if we visit him from time to time, we are like family, and family stick together.
Olivia smiled when her father said that as it really calmed her down. In her thought “I’m sure that Spirit won’t do anything stupid, he may be family to us but he is much more rash, and stubborn than all of us combined.”

Behind them the shadows from before started to creep up from behind the rocks and started towards the group of ponies unaware of their presence there were three in total. The three shadows uses pads on their paws to silence their movement and creep slowly and then hide behind the cart that the ponies brought up, they took a look inside and searched for a specific item that catches their interest.

The first shadow was a small runt size one, and seemed to have a rusty squeak voice behind it “Well do you smell any gems in here? BECAUSE I DON’T!” He said rather loud but in a whisper tone to not alert the ponies.

The second shadow was a very large one and has a deep gruff voice to him “I’m sure I smelled some gems here, it’s faint but I’m certain that it’s gems.” He lifted some of the contents up and searched for them gems despite the content he carried was a heavy bag of provisions filled to last a week.

The third shadow was in between the two in terms of heights and has a more rusty voice to him and so does his form. “Well I don’t see any, either those ponies are really good at hiding them or simply they NEVER had any at all, you’re snot must be getting rusty Fido.

The second shadow spoke “My sniffer works just fine Rover.” Then the first shadow spoke.

“If that’s true then where are the gems?” The midget one is starting to get slightly aggravated at the lack of gems that the big one supposedly smelled.

Then the third shadow spoke “Wait we don’t really need to steal these ponies’ gems now do we.” A wicked smile started to creep on this face but the other two were confused.

“What are you saying I don’t want to go back empty handed?! We’re starving already as it is.” The midget one spoke and the big one agreed.

The middle one said with an evil smile on his face with an evil intent behind it “What I’m saying is why don’t we just take the ponies with us, we are in need of some ‘helpers’ if you know what I mean. Hehehe.” Chuckling to end his sentence on which the other two caught on and smiled along with the 3rd shadow as they soon crept out of their hiding spots.

The ponies were too engrossed in the gorgeous view that they didn’t notice the dark, slightly oppressive pressure behind them.
Feather then spoke up “Ok let’s get ready to go. The sooner we get to the village, the sooner we can start making some bits, and the sooner we can go see Spirit and bring him some treats from our new home.” Olivia and Blossom nodded in agreement and turned around to get ready to move on but then they saw something they did not expect.

Three creatures stand before them and all of them standing on two legs and all are much taller than them except the midget one. The short one had a grey vest, with a diamond encrusted color on him, and has tan fur with yellow, blue eyes to go along with it. The large one had a grey vest and a diamond color as well but has yellow and black eyes, with a bluish fur. The last one the middle on had a red vest, grey fur, and full on green eyes.

“Why hello there it’s not every day we find ponies in these part of the mountains.” The red vested one said.
Feather saw them and stood in front of Blossom and Olivia who were slightly worried at the creatures’ sudden appearances.

“Diamond dogs, cut the chit chat I know what you want, well sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we don’t have any gems with us.” Feather said with snort and crouched slightly downwards ready to charge at them if need to.

“Hehehe, we already know that we just searched your cart.” The midget dog spoke, and Olivia was upset at this.

“WHAT! You can’t do that that’s a total violation of invasion of private property!” Olivia was really upset and was pointing a hoof at the dogs until her father spoke up.

“Olive these are Diamond dogs, they appear to be more of the ruffian kind so they don’t follow rules except their own. Looking through other ponies’ cargo is like playing in their own back yard for these dogs.” Feather said still maintaining a firm position between his family and the diamond dogs.

“Well put that’s the kind we are, but unfortunately this IS our backyard and YOU’RE invading OUR private property.” The midget one said and the middle one spoke up. “And since you don’t have any gems for payment.” The large one smashed one of his paws with his fist to emphasize his point “You’re just going to have to work for it, for a very, very long time.” All three of the diamond dogs started to walk up to the ponies while chuckling and when they reached a point Feather rocketed towards the middle one and shot him up into the air along with him. Feather then did a nose dive and planted all four of his hooves right one top of the large one’s body squishing him down but not out.

Feather shouted “Blossom, take Olive and get out of here, I’ll keep them busy.” Blossom and Olive were hesitant in moving at the moment.

Blossom shouted “But what about-“She never got to finish as Feather shouted

“I’ll BE FINE NOW GO!!!” Finally Blossom and took shoved Olivia to move and they both ran while Feather kept the Diamond Dogs busy.

The midget one said “I’ll get them.” He was about to burrow down until

“OH no you don’t!” *BANG* Feather bucked the midget Diamond dog before it had a chance to dive and sent him flying towards a stone wall.
The middle one landed on the ground with a thud and shook his head to get the shock from the fall out of him, he then saw the two mares making a run for it. “I’ll get them Spot just get this one under control.” The dog started to dig through the stone and Feather saw it and tried to fly towards him but the big one grabbed one of his hooves and prevented him from moving. Feather picked up even more wing power and started to drag the large dog along with him but the middle dog got away and the midget one pounced on top of him send him crashing to the ground and he struggles to get out of their grip.

In Feather’s mind “Please Celestia, please make sure my wife and child get away.”

Olivia and Blossom were running down the mountain road heading back where they came from.
Olivia was starting to gasp slightly as she spoke “Mom what about dad, I know he’s strong but he can’t take on three of those creatures.”

Blossom agreed with her daughter on this one. “I know Olive that’s why we have to make sure we get back to Canterlot to tell Celestia about this.” Olivia was shocked at what her mother just said.

“WHAT! Mom it took us at least 3 weeks to get here, by the time we arrive who knows what those things can do to him.” Olivia was starting to get scarred for her father’s safety but her mother reassured her.

“Don’t worry as long as I know Feather he is a real tough nail and I’m sure he can last long enough, and it took us 3 weeks because we were taking our time with the travel, if we can speed up and keep our pace we should be able to cut out some time.” Blossom was starting to pant as well as she is having slight trouble with keeping pace then up ahead a mound started to pop up and Olivia and Blossom saw it and were wondering what it was until the red vested dog come out

“AHA! Found You.” Olivia was stopping but Blossom kept charging in fact she picked up her speed and slammed right into the dog’s stomach.

“OHMP!”

Blossom the kept the dog from moving by keeping her hooves on his paws. She shouted towards Olivia “Olive quickly go!” Olivia couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

“But mom I can’t leave you.” Blossom was starting to struggle with the Diamond dog as it’s starting to get some of its breath back.

“I know it’s not a good feeling Olive but you’re the only one who can get back the fastest, I’m not as fit as I used to be, please Olive I know it’s hard but you must get back to Canterlot you’re the only one who can do it.”

Olivia couldn’t move as she is stuck with helping her mom or getting back to Canterlot to get help, the Diamond dog finally got back air back into his lungs and then started to move Blossom from off of his paws. Blossom shouted towards Olivia that finally made her move

“GOOO!!!!!”

After hearing that Olivia started to run fast as she had ever done in her life while the diamond dog got out and pinned Blossom down who continued struggling and saw Olivia getting away.

In Blossoms mind “Be strong Olivia we’re counting on you.”

The Diamond dog just watched one of his targets get away “Bah she’ll probably more of a whiner than a helper, two out of three isn’t so bad.”

He then grabbed Blossom by her neck and dragged her along. “Well then I guess you and that other fella won’t mind staying a good while to ‘help’ us with your payment. HAHAHAHa.” Dragging Blossom within his giant paw the Diamond dog started to walk back towards his pack and
Olivia just continued running and running towards Canterlot.

Olivia then spoke to Phantom “The problem is despite my best efforts to get back even I need everyday supplies like water, food, and rest and I didn’t have any bits with me. So I helped out on farms and other places here and there for food and water, and got some sleep in some places. I now my parents are suffering right now but I tried my best but it still took me 3 weeks to get here.”

Phantom after hearing what happened to her family after coming so close to having a new life he couldn’t help but feel sorry for Olivia. “Olivia I’m so sorry for what happened.”

Olivia just smiled after hearing that “It’s alright, if there’s one good thing out of it I’m glad the first person I get to see was you.” Phantom looked at Olivia and smiled happy to know even when they were separated she still liked him as family. Olivia’s stomach started to rumble and she blushed out of embarrassment, but coincidentally so did Phantom as his stomach grumbled as well.

They both looked at each other and started to laugh, and it felt good as this was the first time they both had a good laugh in a long while.
Phantom then perked up a bit and then stood up to Olivia’s confusion. “Spirit what are you-“Phantom then started to climb on the wall he was leaning on. He then reached the top where he peaked from and saw the line still there and there was still food but only a fourth left.
Phantom then saw two ponies that he recognized to be the usual caterers walk down the street that he was near and they both had a bread and soup on them. Phantom then got an idea he jumped down and Olivia was wondering what Phantom was up to.

Phantom signaled Olivia for him to wait here and then he started to run towards the duo ponies he saw earlier.
Phantom ran and turned a corner and started to pace himself in his walk, the two caterer ponies looked and recognized Phantom right away, as he’s the only one with something covering his entire being.

The first caterer a stallion earth pony waved hello to Phantom “Hey sonny, how’s it going.” Phantom waved his hand in wave to signal he heard.

Phantom then started to walk with the two ponies the other caterer pony and unicorn who was a mare spoke up next “What’s up? You’re usually one of the first ponies in line but we didn’t see you at all?”

Phantom then spoke “It’s the guards over there, they make me very nervous.”

The earth pony nodded his head in agreement. “I know! You’re supposed to serve the ponies with a smile not a stone cold glare, I doubt many ponies were feeling mighty uncomfortable seeing royal guards being there, I mean we were just as surprised as those guards just appeared out of nowhere and told us to let them handle the catering. What’s up with that?”

Phantom responded “I have no clue.” Although he actually does but he then spoke what he had in mind. “Actually I have a huge favor I need of you two.”

The two ponies were slightly surprised from this. “Are you feeling alright there, you’re usually somepony not asking any favors from anypony.”

Phantom nodded his head “I know but this is really important and I know you both want to get back to you’re job so I have a proposal.”

The two stopped and looked at each other and back at Phantom “If you got a plan to move those block head guards, be my guest, those guards are like statues in their stations.”

Phantom smiled at this “Not if you use the right bait.”

“Huh?” The two ponies looked at each other in confusion.

Phantom then told them his plan and they were confused on what they must do, and then Phantom told them what he want’s in exchange.
“I know you guys have to eat but think you can spare a set for me.” Phantom said too which the two ponies were thinking.

“I don’t know I do want to serve my customers again but we both need to eat as well.” The stallion said as then Phantom then brought out a small bag, and planted it on top of the stallions head.

“This should suffice for a meal in a fine café.” Phantom said smiling to which the stallion grabbed the bag and opened it to find 5 gold bits inside.

“Bu-But sonny wouldn’t you rather use this you’re self and go get something from the café instead of eating soup and bread.” The stallion said confused and the mare was just as confused and nodded in agreement with the stallion.

“I know but I have certain problems with the city. Think you can do this favor for me just this once?” Phantom hopped and the two ponies looked at each other and agreed.

“Ok we will do it, but we’ll give you both sets if you can get those guards to move.” The mare stated to which Phantom was surprised.

“You don’t have to give me both I just need one set.” Phantom said in hesitation while the stallion then spoke up.

“We know but let’s just say we made a bet with the other meal if you can get those guards to leave their station.”

Phantom smirked at this “you are so going to lose that bet in 2 minutes flat.”

The two ponies smiled at this “I like the way you sound, well tell us this plan of yours.”

Phantom signaled them to move closer and they did and were confused on what they heard but they decided to give it a try.

2 minutes flat later/

“GET HIM, DON’T LET HIM GET AWAY THIS TIME PONIES!!!” The guards from the catering station and everywhere else were starting to go on a wild goose chase for a being that wasn’t even there they ran through a street and turned the corner where they saw a black cape and continued running.

The mare who had her magic activated just stared there wall eyed at what happened as she brought a large black towel on her back and deactivated her magic aura around it.

The stallion was mouth agape at this and Phantom just smiled at this. The stallion then turned to Phantom “What di- how- What just happened?”

Phantom then spoke to the Stallion as he took the two meals “that’s my trade secret but I think you should be to work I think the ponies are waiting to see their real caterers back.” Phantom said with a smile as he then walked away.

The Stallion then turned to Phantom with his mouth closed now but then came with a smile and chuckled “Boy howdy that creature sure does know how to play the mind games.” He then started to walk towards the catering table as well as the unicorn mare from before and then were on their way to continue their job and soon their next proper meal.

Phantom returns to Olivia who was slightly panicking from the uproar from the guards.

She then saw Phantom come and she ran up to him “Spirit what happened there was this huge uproar all of a sudden and then-“ Phantom then presented Olivia with a meal tray.

“Courtesy of the catering ponies, and a trade secret to get the guards to move.” Olivia just stared and shook her head.

“Typical Spirit always likes to play the mind games.”

They both sat down with a meal set and thanked the earth for providing the food they need and were about to eat until Phantom grabbed his bread and was about to eat it until he saw two filly and colt sitting at the wall just starring at the ground. Phantom looked at his meal and sighed, Olivia watched him and saw him get up and took his food with him and walked towards the two little fillies. They were at first scarred of him but then he putted his meal in front of them. He then extended his arms and scratched their heads and he left the two fillies who were confused but then saw the food and were beaming with happiness.

"Thank you Mr" The colt said as he and the filly started to eat the meal that Phantom left them.

Phantom went back to Olivia who then presented him half a bread.
"Huh?"

Olivia smiled as he was confused "I know you better than anyone and when I saw you look at those two I knew what you were going to do. Take it you need something to eat, after all neither me nor those two wouldn't have any food if not for you."

Phantom smiled at this "Thanks." He took the bread and sat down with Olivia and they both including the filly and colt, ate their meal.

Phantom then spoke after he finished his bread and Olivia was now on her tomato soup. "Olivia."

Olivia responded mid sip "Mmm?"

Phantom's face then turned into concern "So what was it you wanted me to promise?"

Olivia stopped sipping and brought the soup down and stared at it with a sense of melancholy air around her.
"I know you're not going to like this one bit Spirit and I know you will try to sneak off to do it-"

Phantom's attention was grabbed at the part of her saying that he will hate her. "What are you saying?"

Olivia then spoke what she want's Phantom to promise.
"Spirit no matter what I don't want you to go and rescue my parents."

“Spirit no matter what I don’t want you to go and rescue my parents.”
Phantom looked at her with a blank stare and a stone expression as Olivia was starting to get slightly uncomfortable at the silence and started to shift her sitting position. As she awaits his response she closed her eyes awaiting his response on her request.

Olivia just knows what phantom is going to say.

“WHAT! WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOT GO AFTER YOUR PARENTS!? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND!?”

But in reality

“Ok.”

Olivia’s eyes bulged out in shock as she heard those words come out of his mouth. She turned her head and couldn't help but say.

“Huh?” Olivia tilted her head as she said that and Phantom was slightly surprised by her surprised action.

“What? Why are you so surprised, if anything it should be the other way around?” Phantom said in a calm manner as Olivia shook her head out of her shock.
“I-I mean I, you know, Expected you to be more agitated, more stubborn…. Not so…uhh.”

Phantom tried to answer for her “Calm, collected, not so pig headed about doing things his way.”

Olivia’s mouth stood open and then spoke “I was going to say something else, but you pretty much described it.”

Phantom then continued eat his bread and spoke while eating “Well when you told me what happened. I sort of understand why you don’t want me to even think about going to rescue your parents.”

Olivia was staring at Phantom as he continues speak wanting to hear what he has to say.

Phantom then swallowed his bread and spoke “You pretty much went through many emotional distress when you ran from that mountain to here, feeling guilt that you are the only one to get away and that you left your parents to who knows what those Diamond Dogs might do.”

At this information Olivia looked down at the ground with a forlorn expression signifying that what Phantom speaks is pretty much true.

Olivia then spoke up “Yes, you’re pretty much on the dot. Also I told you this pretty much, knowing you, you probably would find out about this another way and go after them.”

Phantom didn’t respond as he knows that what Olive says is true.
Olivia continued “And if you did find out and then leave to go find them.” Olivia then slumps down as she imagines what could happen with Phantom going there. “I don’t know what will happen to you and my parents.”
Phantom then looked towards Olivia with a concerned expression but try to tell her “Olivia you don’t have to worry, you are talking to someone who can easily handle himself against an earth pony who are profound for their strength.”

Olivia didn’t budge but instead became even more emotional as tears were
starting to form around her eyes. “Spirit, I know you can handle yourself but that makes me even more worried.”

Phantom was confused at this and Olivia says
“I know you’re strong but those three diamond dogs were strong as well even taking my dad’s head on tackle and even taking him down. There were three of them and they can even attack from beneath you as they did with my mother and me and who knows how many more of them there are. I know you can fight Spirit but…” Olivia pauses as she starts to sniffle at the memories of her parents before she escaped and them being taken away to who knows where to do who knows what.

Olivia starts to croak out the words “If you went and … didn't come back I… I don’t know what I will do…” Olivia then turns her head to Phantom who sees her eyes were starting to drip tears and Phantom was starting to feel the weight of the sorrow and pain that Olivia went through that he could not comprehend.

Olivia croaked out her request to Phantom practically pleading him “Please Spirit I don’t want another family to end up being taken by those Diamond Dogs and leaving me alone. I don’t want you to end up how my parents did.” Olivia then walks up and sits in front of Phantom with pleading eye’s stained with tears of sorrow and pain. “Please promise you won’t go and let the Princess handle this, I’m certain they can do it…. So …Please.”

Olivia’s words struck hard on Phantom as he sees Olivia a strong headed, stubborn mare practically in tears pleading him to not go save her parents in fear of him being gone as well. Phantom wanted to go and save her parents the instant that Olivia told him what happened but seeing Olivia as she is now he knows where priorities lies.

Phantom then got on his legs and kneed cuffing his hands around Olivia’s face, using his thumbs to wipe her tears away and spoke “Alright Olivia I promise. I won’t go, but only if you promise to stop crying. Alright.”

Olivia was still sniffling but she started to hold back her tears and smiled with a sign of relief *sniff* “Ok… Thank you.”

Phantom takes his arms and wraps Olivia in a much needed hug which Olivia practically melted in his arms as she started to relax, and Phantom comfort’s her in his arms by running his hand through her mane just the way she likes it.

After practically half an hour of silence with comforting Olivia who has calmed down much since her emotional scenario, Phantom then asks.
“So since you’re here I assume that you’re heading towards the Princess Castle after this?”

Olivia just nods her head as she doesn't feel like speaking now, just embracing the much needed comfort that Phantom is giving her. After 10 more minutes of silence Phantom then speaks.

“Olive isn't it about time that you head towards the castle now, the line for the day court will be very long if you wait too long.”

Olivia smiled at hearing her real name from Phantom “yeah I guess you’re right, and thank you Spirit …. For you know calling me Olive.”

Phantom smiled as well “Yeah.” He then picks her up and puts her on her feat much to the slight disappointment from Olivia.

“Well I guess I have to get going now.” Olivia said as she smiled at Phantom who smiled back and then Olivia asked “Hey Spirit why don’t you come with me to the castle.” This request shocked Phantom (for OBVIOUS reasons) “I’m sure that if the both of us go then I’m sure Princess Celestia will respond to our request faster.”

Phantom is sweating buckets as he knows that if Olivia found out that he broke into the Princesses Castle’s and stole something from them (even if it’s just brownies) She will have a fit and also cause her unnecessary worry for him now being a target for a certain Princess and her guards.

Phantom in his mind “WHY of all the places I had to hit, I was dumb enough to steal from the Princesses castle. Why didn't I just hit Jet Set’s place at least he would be too scared to do anything but complain.”

Phantom was in a calm and composed look on the outside but he was right now in a slight dilemma with his friend’s request for him. He took a thinking position hoping to buy him some time to think but Olivia was slightly irritated in him.
Olivia irritated spoke “Do you have to really think about this, this is your family that is trapped in who knows where with those Diamond Dogs doing who knows what.”

“Well that distraction went well.” Phantom said as he felt dumb thinking that would have bought him time. Phantom spoke on the fly hoping what he says to Olivia will change her thought on this.

“Well Olivia-” At hearing Phantom’s nickname again Olivia’s cheeks started puffing up.

“Can’t you just call me by my real name for one day rather than one line?” At seeing her face Phantom couldn't help but chuckle at which made Olivia’s cheeks puff up even more.

“Alright, Alright I got it already. Oliv-” Phantom spoke to which Olivia’s cheeks deflated and a hopeful expectation fills Olivia as she wait for it.

“ia” Olivia’s mouth dropped to a frown and Phantom couldn't help but chuckle at messing with Olivia.

Olivia just sighed and smiled at Phantom “Well I should have guessed you would do that. But really Spirit it would really help me out if another family was there to support me in case I get nervous. This would be my first time with speaking to royalty.”

Phantom responded “I haven't been near royalty either so what good would I be.” Phantom knew he’s been near royalty but not exactly their good side.

Olivia asks again “Please Spirit it may be a first for us both but I would really like some support even if you’re just standing there.”

At this Phantom is really thinking on what to do as he knows the princesses will be sure to suspect anyone covering themselves and certainly with his figure he can’t pass as a normal pony or a Minotaur. What’s even worse is that Olivia seems like she needs the support but if he goes anywhere near the guards he will be suspected or worse found out. Phantom thought of something to say.

“I’m sure that you can handle this yourself Olivia, I want to go and be there to support you but remember there is no one except me of my kind and for sure the guards may be very suspicious of me if they see me (and for good reason), they would probably scan me or other things, and if they found out what my constitution requires… Well you are the prime example of that.”

At hearing this Olivia blushed at the remembrance of what she did when she and her parents found out about Phantom’s diet during the first month they first meet.

Olivia snapped out of her thought and then comprehended on what Phantom said. What he says is true as she knows the guards are notorious for being really serious about their job, and she can already guess what the guards will do if they found about Phantom’s diet or his very being.

Olivia sighed at this with disappointment evident on her face as she looked at the ground and pawed at it. She spoke “Yeah I guess you’re right, I certainly don’t want to have to get your flank tossed into a Canterlot cell until the Princess deem’s you ‘safe’. I really could have used the support though.”

Phantom saw the disappointment on her and he knew she could use his support but with his appearance being practically famous to a certain Royal family he can’t be careless in his approaches around the city now. Phantom thought of what to do and then it came.

“Hey Olivia.” Olivia looked towards Phantom as he looks at her.

“I may not be able to be there at the court, but I can support you through other ways. How about until the Princesses get your parents back you can stay at my place it’s even worse than the old house but it’s home.” Olivia smiled at this feeling happy that Spirit is letting her stay at his place, after all the building that she was in before probably got taken by now.

“Thanks Spirit I really appreciate that. I do need a place to sleep, it’s been so long since I had a proper place to sleep.” Olivia said but Phantom was surprised at this.

“Olivia didn't you stay at inns when you said you slept at some places.” Olivia had a smile on her but phantom saw other wise.

Olivia looked to the ground and pawed at it again as she said “Well when I said sleep at some places I didn't mean inn’s or hotel’s they costed money which I couldn't afford with the food and water I need to travel back here so I just slept in some alley ways or parks instead.”

Phantom had slight shock on his face and then he suddenly stood up and Olivia was slightly startled at the sudden movement,Then Phantom spoke with conviction evident in his voice.

“Alright Olive get going to the Princesses castle and get the meeting over with, once you are done, come to the back town center and I’ll meet you at the spot where the pony caterers serve. Then we’ll go home and you will be getting the best sleep you ever had.” Olivia was slightly surprised with Phantom’s sudden change in voice but she smiled at the news of a decent sleep the hard floor and benches really killed her back.

Olivia smiled at this and spoke “Well then I guess I better get going, I really go for some rest, especially since you claim it’s the best sleep I will ever have.” Olivia then started walking out of the ally and towards the Canterlot main town to the castle.

“Well then I’ll see you later Spirit.” Olivia waved back and Phantom smiled and waved back as well seeing Olivia walking out of the ally and moved out of his sight.

Phantom then did some quick stretches and cracked his neck and then looked towards the sky. “Well guess I better get going.”

Phantom then pulled out his gloves and put them on his hands before he started climbing up the building he was sitting against and then looked around and spotted his favorite lookout. A spire tall enough to get him a perfect view of the city.

Phantom then started his way to the spire jumping and dodging all the obstacles on his way. Reaching towards the base he ran up to the base and jumped as high as he can and used his gloves to stick to the wall and started climbing to the top. It took him 3 minutes but he made it and then he scanned the city hoping the city has what he’s looking for. He then spotted it across the city near the center of the town. A shop that sells bed and mattresses run by some noble pompous ponies. Phantom smiled at this seeing as his next heist was already so soon.

“Well guess I can kill two birds with one stone I can scare those noble ponies and get what I need.” Phantom then looked around where he is right now and the ground and he sweated.

“I really hope they have some silk near there.” Phantom said as he started to scale down the spire.

“REALLy wish I kept a spare.”

Walking through the streets were many noble ponies going through their daily lives, all were speaking of the window that was present at the rise of the sun where one of the windows was mysteriously dim. In the streets one of the Canterlot unicorn nobles with a green vest who had a cup of tea was talking with another unicorn stallion with a monocle in a café with his own cup of tea.

“Have you heard the rumors going around the city right now?” The other stallion responded with his answer.

“Are you referring to the window at the castle that wouldn’t shine?” The stallion sips his tea and plates it back “Yes I have, it’s the talk of the town, but I fail to see what could be so fascinating with a window that simply wouldn’t shine.”

The other stallion immediately put his bits on the rumor “Well I think its cause of those mud lovers, not doing their job properly, I tried to reason with the Princess that having Unicorn ponies would be much more efficient than those mud lovers but she wouldn’t listen and gave those ponies positions. Now look one of them slacked off and forgot to clean a window, something us unicorns would never overlook.”

The other stallion raised his eyes in question of this stallions ‘bits’ “I can assure you Jet Set that you and everypony in Equestria loves Princess Celestia just as much as anypony else and I’m certain with time everypony will also love and appreciate Princess Luna as well. What I’m saying is that I’m certain that what you claim to be false.”

Jet Set protests this “Fancy Pants I am certain that those mud lovers are responsible for that dulled window, the only other explanation for having a dull window is if someone actually dared to even steal from the princesses I’m sure that you aren’t suggesting somepony actually dared break into the castle are you?”

Fancy Pants swirled his tea as he pondered this “Well it would be ridiculous for somepony to actually raid the castle. IF they even miraculously escaped the castle, the pony would be the target of the princesses’ wrath and its entire nation from stealing from its beloved princess.

Jet Set then spoke up again “That’s why it couldn’t be anything else but those mud lovers slacking off on their job on the castle.”

Fancy Pants shook his head in disagreement “I’m certain that it couldn’t be one of the earth ponies’ cleaners of the castle, I meet with several of them on my visits with the princesses and with how they work I’m certain that they wouldn’t dare miss a spot of the castle while they are there.”

Jet Set then raised the question that he wanted to say “Then tell me what are your thoughts about why the window wasn’t shining like the rest?”

Fancy pants once again swirled his tea before taking another sip and placing his cup on its plate “Well if I have the guess, I honestly don’t know.”

Jet set at this was curious to this “Why is that?”

Fancy answered “It’s that I know fact that ALL the cleaners for one are doing their job, but I can’t help but find that the other option to be more believable than the other but just as you say I’m also assured that no pony would even conceive the idea from stealing from the princess.”

Jet set sighed and grasped his tea with his magic “Then I guess we will be on a stand still about this rumor.”

Fancy grasped his own tea with his own magic “I suppose so.”

They both sipped their teas and just pondered on their thoughts about the rumor. Fancy then finished his tea before Jet Set and rose form his chair and placed his bits on the table.

“It was a nice morning having a chat with you Jet Set but I must depart now, don’t want to leave my wife working to long, it’s finally her day off from all those modeling trips.” Jet set smiled at this and spoke.

“A yes, you wouldn’t want Mrs. De Lis to be kept waiting.” Jet set smiled as he looked at his remaining tea “You are a very lucky stallion Mr. Fancy Pants.”

Fancy becomes curious at this “Oh is that so?”

Jet Set continued “Mrs. De Lis is a mare of extraordinary beauty and many stallions are always desiring her, Tartarus, before I met Upper Crust even I wanted her for myself, yet she remains faithful to you no matter the stallion. Take good care of her.” Jet Set said as he raised his cup to Fancy Pants who smiled at what his friend said.

“Of course that was my only desire ever since we started going out.” Fancy did a quick bow and so did Jet Set as Fancy walked away back to his abode.

Fancy viewed the city that he was born and raised in as he looked around he greets all the other noble ponies who all come and greet him. They start asking him questions and what his thoughts were on everyday things but Fancy replied “I’m terribly sorry, I would enjoy having a nice chat with all of you ponies but my wife is waiting for me, and I wouldn’t want to keep her waiting, so I must make cut our chat for today.” All the ponies understood this and then said their good byes and left for other things while fancy went back to walking to his abode.

10 minutes later/

Fancy Pants stops at his front gates and views his mansion surrounded by a tall iron gate, a building with a cream colored texture, 20 windows, a large garden with the finest ornaments and flowers and Fleur De Lis, and a large double door with a golden texture and a carving of the two sisters. Fancy walked past the gate and opened the door to view his entrance room of red carpets of the finest materials and a chandelier of cylinder shaped crystals shining brightly across the room, with a marble stair case leading two ways apart that lead to the second floor. A line of maids and stewards were in front of the stair case and bowed saying.

“Welcome home Master Fancy Pants.” Fancy smiled at them and said.

“I’m back everypony.” He then walked up to one of the older stewards who is a Pegasus who had a yellow mane with gray steaks and some wrinkles appearing on his face but otherwise a fairly tall stallion with a cutie mark of a wine glass on a silver platter.

“Mr. Glass do you know where my wife currently is? I wish to speak with her, it’s been quite some time since our last chat.” Mr. Glass bowed his head with a frown on his face.

“I’m sorry Master Fancy but I’m afraid that Mistress Fleur de Lis is out on an ‘important task’ that she must attend to. I am unaware of what task she has, as when I asked her where she was heading to she replied that she will be back in about an hour.”

Fancy smiled while sighing as he knows where Fleur would be when she says ‘important task’ “I see, well I just came to talk with Fleur but if she’s not here I suppose I’ll find something else to do for the hour.

Glass still had a frown and said “I’m fairly sorry Master Fancy Pants I’ll be sure to send you Quick Speed when Mistress Fleur De Lis returns.” Fancy smiled and waved his hoof.

“That won’t be necessary I’m sure that Quick Speed would like a break as I did ask her to send a Package to my company before my tea time with Jet Set, but please do tell Mr. Bon to prepare tonight’s dinner to the specifications that I requested to him a couple days ago.

Glass bowed and spoke in a caring tone. “Of course Master Fancy Pants I’ll be sure to tell him, please do take care and enjoy your day.” As he rose he had a smile on his face as Fancy smiled as well.

“Well then I’ll be off.” Fancy then left through the door in which his maids opened for him, “Thank you Lin, Rin.”

The two maids bowed their heads and spoke “It is no trouble at all Master Fancy Pants, please enjoy your day.”

Fancy smiled as he walked out and walked past the gate again and breathed the air as he spoke. “Well I guess I should be heading to Fleur now, probably making some more arrangements for her side business.”

Edge of Canterlot/

Phantom climbs down from the tall spire and lands back on the base. He reviews the shop he saw in his mind reciting recognizable landmarks.

“Alright I know it’s near a tall tower with a purple flag, next to a newspaper office, and it has a pink and white entrance roof. Phantom nods his head as he confirmed his land marks and then starts searching for his home.

“Better get ready, I’m going to need to be more careful and fast now that the guards are even searching this part of the city and also….” The sun beats down hard on Phantom as he starts to sweat “It’s so damn hot!!” Phantom then starts surveying the area and spots his home and starts making his way there jumping upon roof after roof. He lands onto a building and sees a group of ponies gathered around a well-dressed earth pony (by their standards). It seems like they are talking about something which leads to Phantom’s curiosity and leads him to the edge of the roof and leans in on the conversation of the pony who is speaking about…

“The rumor going around among everypony in the main city is a dull window at the princesses’ castle. I fail to see the significance but those noble ponies think that the earth ponies are slacking off on our job, my own Employer Jet Set told me that he won’t pay if I slack off as well. I mean it’s not our kinds fault if an incident happens but they blame it on us anyway believing their kind would never make a mistake and Pegasus are more useful than Earth ponies.” He body shakes in frustration “I know we may be seen as third rates, but they all believe that the earth ponies in the castle are slacking off.”

One of the ponies in the group spoke up “Well we can’t deny the possibility of there being a pony in the castle slacking off in her job.”

The Earth pony said “We can’t deny that, that’s why they think it’s us earth ponies simply because we are 3rd rates to them. It can’t be possible but I really hope it’s the second possibility.”

Another pony spoke up “And what would that be?”

The earth pony took a deep breath and sighed “That somepony broke into the princesses’ castle.”

Everypony in the crowd gasped at the very idea that somepony would actually even conceive the idea of stealing from the princess.

One of the ponies shouted out in frustration. “Why would you believe such a preposterous thing, nopony in their right mind would ever do that?!”

“Well it’s the only other possibilities that other ponies could think of, no pony would dare harm the princess even Gryphonia one of the most prideful kingdoms in Equestria respect the princesses. What creature would do such a thing, that’s why the noble ponies choose to blame it on us earth ponies.” Stomping his hooves in frustration the earth stallion was riled up with all the nobles blaming his species simply because they aren’t unicorn.

A pony then asked “Why are you so agitated about this?” The ponies started to look at the one who spoke and to everyponys surprise it was an earth pony mare. The mare continued speaking “I understand and I speak for all us earth ponies that we also are just as frustrated as you when it comes to those noble ponies but that’s been going on in Canterlot for many years now. Why does this news make you so frustrated when many similar ones have happened before?”

The earth stallion just sulked his head as he spoke but more sullen than before “It’s because my best friend who is an earth pony works in the castle.” All the ponies and even Phantom were surprised by this.

He told the story “He was just a pony looking for a job like everypony here, but no pony accepted him simply because he was an earth pony. I got lucky with Jet Set because of me doing cleaning duties at the restaurant I was working at before. He saw the quality of my work when I was cleaning the outside of the restaurant and he said he had a vacant spot and offered it to me. I was happy to get a better job that I had forgotten my friend who has been searching for a job for a long time.” He sighed and all the ponies were listening even Phantom who forgot his main objective was drawn in with this character.

“I felt so guilty after that but I couldn’t back out, I needed a better job and I was hoping the restaurant would accept him instead but they already filled my position with a Pegasus. My friend is prideful so he could never ask the princesses for help but I saw the state he was in and I became desperate so I went to the court line to ask Princess Celestia to help my friend find a job. When I arrived it was too late and the court ended I was going to leave until I remembered that Nigh- I mean Princess Luna returned and the night court was available I waited for it to open and when it did I was the only one there so I went first to ask. She accepted my request and before I knew it he busted through my door in the middle of the night and shook me saying that he got an evening shift working in the castle.”

He smiled at the memory of his friend busting his door and shaking his head so hard “I’ll never forget that face when he finally got a job.” Then he got all frustrated and smashed his hoof to the side of his head. “That’s why it’s so frustrating, I simply can’t just let that rumor slip by me like I do every time. My friend there is working to the point of exhausted and yet he is one of the few earth ponies that work in the castle getting blamed for something that couldn’t have been his fault.”

Every pony were starting to feel sorry for the earth ponies who work in the castle. Phantom on the other hand starts to feel guilty as his little stunt caused a mess for some ponies’ lives.

“Damn I guess I should have thought that out.” He remember what he has to do now and he starts to slide away and gets up from a fair distance from the ledge. “I probably would have ruined that stallion’s life had I hit Jet Set. Damn… why does this have to be so complicated?” Phantom thought as he scanned once more and started running and jumping towards his home.

4 minutes later/

Phantom lands on his house, stopping to catch his breath, and started moving, breathing heavily, towards his make shift tent. He steps hear his hammock and moves underneath, removing his gloves, placing it next to him, he dusts off some soil revealing a latch. He pulled it and swung open a hidden small hidden room and in it a small wooden chest. He lifts the lid of the chest to reveal many colored gems and some clear gems all in different shapes and sizes.

“Better stock up on those flash crystals.” Phantom said as he grabs two small octagon shaped crystals, white but mixed with blue colors that continue to swirl around inside. He placed them into his pouch, and Phantom grabs a palm size sphere crystal that has a purple misty haze color and placed it in his pouch as well.

“Going to need an illusion crystal, and maybe a few blanks.” Grabbing a long quartz shaped clear crystal with a diamond shaped clear crystal as well once more into his pouch.

He then closes the lid and shuts the room and covers the latch and cracks up once more with soil. He grabs his gloves, standing up looks towards Canterlot and spots a large tower with a purple flag.

“Alright let’s get go-“Phantom stops and realizes that he may have rushed his landmarks. “Oh shit…” He spot’s several towers with purple flags waving in the air just mocking him to come to their location. Phantom shakes his head and just sighs “I really messed up on this. I better hurry and find the right tower, I can find the store when I find it.” Phantom puts his gloves back on and starts to run towards one of the purple towers hoping it’s his.

A young white mare, with pure fur without a single flaw, walks past many citizens of Canterlot as she heads to her destination. Many on lookers watch her pass by. Many mares with envy, some with admiration, but most of the stallions watch on lost in her beauty and her graceful appearance.

"Damn look at her, the very entity of beauty of the unicorn race, no finer in the kingdom." One stallion said to another who agreed with him.

"Yes I can agree, Fleur De Lis, Canterlot's #1 model and with a 91% agreement on her being the most beautiful unicorn mare that any stallions in Canterlot have ever seen. The only one who surpasses her grace and beauty will be princess Celestia."

The other stallion just turned to him with a knowing smile "Well of course she is an alicorn with all the perfect aspects of all ponies, even though the mud lovers are completely uncouth, I can't deny that they are quite physically powerful." The other stallion agreeing with him.

"Yes I concur with that statement. It's unfortunate that she is not an eligible bachelorette for the taking."

"I can agree with that being unfortunate for the available bachelors in Canterlot, but I also say she is quite fortunate for her to be married with the quite capable Fancy Pants." The other stallion nodding his head as he watches Fleur turn a corner a couple blocks away. Unfortunately they turn back to each other that they didn't notice a shadow following Fleur and missed him as he passed the corner.

"He's not only Canterlot's most successful airship business owner, and a perfect gentle stallion at that, he's also agreed by 89% of the mare populace on him being the most wanted bachelor when he was available. He has it all, status, bits, a lovely mansion, and a proud family ancestry of unicorns, a successful business, and despite all that he still retains his gentle stallion aura to help those in need and doesn't brag or even become the slightest arrogant about his wealth. He even helps his friends in need and even supports those ruffians on the lower crust of Canterlot, despite not needing to, I mean all they do is just stay in their homes and play in the dirt." Agreeing with this statement the other stallion spoke.

" I can agree that Fancy is a perfect Stallion and that such a mare like Fleur de Lis does deserve the best and so does Fancy, they deserve each other. However I do agree with you on why Fancy supports those Ruffians. I know for a fact that they look for jobs instead of playing in dirt as I've seen a couple of them search jobs at my shop but I do agree that I don't see much benefit with the mud lovers working in my clothes shop since they only choose the plain clothes instead of fashionable ones and I only see them useful in the storage or warehouse things instead of intelligence and grace like us. Especially with what with the rumors about them spreading about them from the castle." They both wondered on this and they both looked and stared at the window, being on their minds on nearly all of canterlot's citizens. They both ignored it and decided to get back to heading to their work places.

"Well then Mr. Line I will be heading to my clothes shop, I'm expecting Photo to come in and hopefully choose a design from my store." Mr. Line nods his head in agreement.

"I wish you the best of luck Mr. Stitch, may Celestia's light brighten your day." Mr. Stitch agreeing to it.
"To you as well, I bid you Adieu."

Then both Stallions walking together to their work places and then split paths on the next turn. Though their days will be filled with light it won't be so much for someone.

10 min time skip/
Canterlot outer center crust/

Fleur de Lis is walking by the cobalt road and enjoys the lovely view of Canterlot. Walking down the street watching ponies have tea, picking fashionable clothes, ponies working jobs, and even more with so many ponies working hard at their jobs to live another day in Canterlot. Ponies showing others their wares, ponies cooking the meals for others through live cooking for ponies to enjoy the performance, and even others cleaning windows, posting posters, and ponies cleaning the litter that defiles the streets. All these ponies play a part in keeping Canterlot Unique and she couldn't ask for more in her hometown.

Unfortunately there were so many nobles that are so stuck up that they treat the lower ponies quite badly leaving a bad impression and other ponies in the nation to not come to Canterlot except for the chance to see her highness Princess Celestia. Through the nobles attitude some ponies don't come to Canterlot due to not wanting to be judged, but it was through the combined efforts of other noble ponies like her husband, Fancy Pants, that it wasn't a complete loss. Fancy brought ponies in and showed them the wonders of Canterlot, the flying ships, the fashionable clothes, the performances of ponies in drama, the food, and other wonderful sites that make Canterlot amazing. Through his efforts along with other noble ponies who share the same view of allowing the common to enjoy seeing the sights that nobles want for themselves, allowed Canterlot to thrive with business opportunities with ponies coming in to be part of Canterlot or to enjoy the tour of the sights that Canterlot holds.

Fleur watches ponies walk past as she heads towards her new side business that is being made at this very moment, and soon open for business. Her mattress shop "Fancy Fleur" taking the first name of her husband and herself where the motto is "Fancy mattresses which will make you rise in the morning like a fleur". It's odd coming for a top model to suddenly go into the mattress business but she decided on this due to 'personal' circumstances. She needed to get away from the paparazzi, the raving fans, and even some bachelors who still attempt to whoo her despite her being married to Fancy. One in particular is extremely neurotic about himself thinking he is the only 'worthy pony' for her that he even goes as far as to send her flowers, letters to her's and Fancy's house, and even tries to whoo her where ever he finds her. She shudders at remembering this particular stallion named Schwein Starshine. He's a fairly handsome stallion and he has a status of being a top noble due to his heritage of noble unicorns but his personality is terrible and was even known for being a play stallion to all top mares with beauty as his main aim. He has been chasing her for nearly 4 years and she tried so many methods even restraining orders but since he has so many connections in Canterlot,due to his parents, that even she can't get him to leave her alone. In the end she gave up on it and decided to have a security team which are her's and Fancy's personal friends that they trust and watches out for him.

As she was thinking that she starts to view her new store now. A 4 story tall building with a sky blue exterior and with a purple flag waving above her shop. She was happy with this, despite her going out of the modeling business for a while she needs to be free from the stress of all those things that come with being a model as she just desires to be in a peaceful environment for now. She walks up to the door and takes a key to open the lock and heads in, and she locks the door again as the store wasn't open yet till a week later.

"Oh my, just a little longer and soon I can finally have some proper relaxing time with Fancy again."

In the store was a light purple color with a refined shine to the shining floor, the windows that shines the sun's light inside, the crystal chandelier it was all coming together nicely. All the mattresses displayed and are in position for those who wish to test them and even some have canopy designs to go with it. The other floors have other mattress as well but the 4th floor consists off a rest room for customers to come in and have a small rest stop and includes private rooms which are empty but are designed for ponies to try the bed mattresses that they particularly like and wish to test with a small nap.

She was happy for this design especially the 4th floor as this will allow her to get some proper rest and relaxation, after thinking that she places a hoof on her belly. Yes, fancy and her finally have a little foal coming to them soon. Fancy and Fleur have been attempting for so long and at long last it has finally happened. She left the modeling world due to her being pregnant and wanted to be in a less stressful environment to be there for her foal but to raise their child up properly with the love of a mother and a father. She giggles as her baby bump isn't showing yet as it was only been a half a month since they discovered it but she couldn't wait for this one to come into this world.

Outside her store however is a bad stallion not wanting to give up his little 'beauty fluer' and stalked her to her new store. It was Schwein who was stalking her for a while now.

"Oh my Fleur, if only you can recognize this wonderful stallion is meant for you and you alone the pantzy won't hesitate to hand you over to me in my brilliant presence. Hahahah!" His laugh is near whisper but it holds the tone of a delusional pony. What Fleur doesn't know about Schwein is the extent he wants her that he even hires spies to take photo's of her, hires others to tell him the location she is at to know her favorite spots, and even goes as far as to stalk her when ever he finds her and follows her in the shadow.

He pulls out a key that is shaped like Fleur's key and watches through the window of her shop to make sure she goes up the stairs. When she does head up the 2nd stair Schwein walks up to the store and places the key inside.
*click*

The door lock opens and Schwein walks in and silently closes the door and locking it.

How Schwein has the key was a few weeks ago in his office downtown Canterlot in the upper crust, one of his contact spies told him news of Fleur leaving the modeling buisness for a while, to which Schwein was shocked and couldn't believe.

"What do you mean she is leaving the modeling business!!!" Schwein yelled at his spy who is slightly shaking as he had to tell this news.

"Apparently she stated in her last interview that she is taking leave from the modeling area for some time to live her life as a mare with her husband. Interviewers questioned her reason for her sudden leave but she stated this was planned for 1 year and she is firm with her decision. Apparently her manager, producers, and sponsors were shocked and begged her not to leave but she was firm with her decision."
The spy continued with this while watching Schwein who was looking very unpleasant with this.

"Hmph well with my Fleur missing those companies are worthless, most likely their sales will drop down quite a bit unless they have a model who can surpass her but a mare like that won't appear for at least another century. Fleur is the 3rd mare in my beauty department compared to Princess Celestia, and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza of course, who will soon be mine as well. Oh the rising sun and the princess of love if only they could see my greatness they will surely fall for me and even announce me king. OH the day will soon come where the nation will shout the name of Schwein in glory!

The spy was slightly disturbed by Schwein's neurotic view of himself and how he will conquer a princess much less two of them. He then wondered something about what Schwein just said and then asked a question which he was curious about "But sir what about the returned Princess Lu-" He wasn't able to state the name till Schwein shouted.

"NEVER ANNOUNCE THAT FAKE PRICNESSE NAME IN MY PRESENCE! THE ONLY ONE WORTHY OF BEING CALLED PRINCESS ARE HER MAJESTY AND CADENZA NOT SOME MONSTER FROM A BY GONE ERA!" Schwein shouted with such force that it almost busted the spies ear drums and made him shake from it.

"YES SIR!" He can only respond with that as he fears any more he says may have him killed.

After Schwein calms down he then says "Well then regarding Fleur i'm sure that she just wants to escape the paparazzi so that when she see's me she won't have the news spreading to fast. That's surely why she left, she must be tired of that white pansy pant's and finally saw that I am her only stallion to satisfy her, she must be setting up a place where she and I can meet in secret and one day finally conceive my foal. YES that's surely it! Hahahahaha!" Schwein says with certainty and joy, and laughed truly believing that his way of thinking was right.

Little did he saw that his spy is now full on disgusted by him.

"Man this Stallion has a few screws lose, and a disgusting personality with an imagination to go with it." In his head he can only say this as despite how he knows this is wrong he only has this job to rely on.

The spy knows of Fancy pant's and can tell he is a truly great stallion who works hard for his fortune while his boss here only inherited his fortune from his family. Even more so that Fancy was a true gentlestallion and his presence alone is enough to want to make any pony be friends with him. Unlike Schwein here who is a neurotic and only talks with mares compared to Fancy Pant's, it was like comparing a diamond to a rusty iron ore. Unfortunately Schwein gave him a job and he only has this job to support himself since he has no one in Canterlot to rely on, his family lives in Manehatten, with that including he was a Pegasus with no job and was on the verge of starvation it was the only job he can have.

Schwein comes back to reality and then gave the spy his new mission. "Find out where Fleur is so that we can finally be united. I don't care how long it takes just find her and once you do report back. If it's a building surely she doesn't want her husband to know about our rendezvous so you have to use this." Schwein hands him a blank key that wasn't even cut instead it a simple metal slab along with a small piece of paper.

"I'm sure you know the trick to making a key without the locksmith himself right?" Schwein says to the spy who responds with a nod.

"Good I expect you to find the building, use the key and make the marks, once you do take it to a well trusted client of mine. He's an expert in this sort of thing, and tell him I'll forward his payment once I have the key in possession. Now run along I need to move as fast as possible so that Fleur doesn't have to wait long." Schwein says as he turns his chair and the spy leaves.

Once out the door the spy looks at the key and starts to wonder if what he is doing is truly worth it. Fancy and Fleur were meant for each other, they are both faithful to one another and even show their love in public with kisses and cuddles. It was adorable to the public but some stallions don't see it that way, Schwein being one of them.

"I can't believe i'm doing this.... how far have I sunk....." The spy leaves with his new assignment and did what he needs to do to live another day.

Phantom stand right next to a building with a purple flag only to discover it's a post office.

"Ahhhh! Damn why does there have to be so many flags this is the 4th one already!" He looks at the other buildings to see that there are several more out there. He sighs as this was going to take a while and not only that time is running short and so is his energy. His stomach makes it's point when it growls in hunger to which Phantom felt as well.

"Ohh, man I really hope the next ones is it, if it isn't I don't think I'll have the energy to get back home with a possible 20 pounds mattress on me." Phantom says as he then searches the next one choosing flags that are high enough to be spotted in a distance. His next choice was a 4 story tall building. He then starts running towards it hoping that this one was it.

Little does he know that he will be getting more than he bargained for.
