Love can be where you least expect it. It could be right in front of you, it could just swoop down and catch you by surprise, it could jump at you from your enemy. Or it could be you polar opposite.
A yellow pegasus opens her eyes, slightly sweating.
“Another dream, another dream about her,” Fluttershy said to herself quietly, looking at her ceiling in the middle of the night.
Vivid, blurry images of the dream flashed through her head, but the clearest image she could make out was her kissing a blue mare with a rainbow colored mane and tail. Questions ravaged her mind as the images flashed by.
‘What’s going on? What’s happening? Why am I dreaming about this? How would this happen? Why am I starting to get feeling for her?’ Fluttershy asked herself, the questions repeating in her mind.
She started to get a headache from all the thinking and had been trying to figure it out since the dreams started, which was a week ago. She finally put all the questions together and from the images from her dream and asked herself the main questions.
‘Am I starting to have feeling for Rainbow Dash? Why am I having these dreams?’ Fluttershy asked herself, trying to put it all out of her mind and drift back into sleep.
She wasn’t the only pegasus that was having this problem. In fact, the pegasus she was just dreaming about was having the same problem…
A blue pegasus sat straight up in her bed, sweating a storm.
“AAARGH!!! What is making me have these dreams?!” Rainbow Dash asked in frustration, putting both hooves on her head.
Vivid, blurry images flashed through her head. The main one that was clear was her kissing a yellow mare with a pink mane and tail. She crashed back down in her bed.
‘WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY AM I HAVING DREAMS ABOUT KISSING FLUTTERSHY?!!!!!!!!!!’ her mind screamed, hoping for an answer.
Rainbow Dash had been having these dreams for the whole week. She finally asked herself the question.
‘Am… Am I starting to fall for… Fluttershy?’ Rainbow asked herself.
Little did they both know, they asked the same question at the same time.
‘Do… Do I… Love her?’
"No that can't be the case," Fluttershy said to herself, still in her cottage laying on the bed.
"That is way to impossible for that to happen!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, looking up at the pitch black ceiling in her house on the clouds.
"I wonder if Fluttershy has been havin' these dreams," Rainbow Dash said, speaking her thoughts out loud to herself.
"Maybe, Rainbow Dash has been having the same dreams," Fluttershy infered to herself.
The image flashed through Fluttershy's mind once again and she noticed one thing that she never noticed before. Two pegasus fillies, one had a pink colored mane and tail, like Fluttershy, but the filly's fur was blue, the mane was short and the tail sort of resembled a lightning bolt, like Rainbow Dash. The other filly had a rainbow colored mane and tail, like Rainbow Dash, but the filly's fur was yellow, the mane was long, and the tail was more slender and curved, like Fluttershy.
She didn't even want to question about what she saw. It was way to much to think about at that point. Rainbow Dash, however...
"What the hay?! Why do those fillies look like me and Fluttershy?!" Rainbow Dash asked, frightening herself with her own outburst.
She had never lost her cool like this before, never in all her life. She did admit that they did look cute, but the fact that they looked like her and Fluttershy just completely freaked her out. Again, ask herself how, when, and why she seeing this in her dreams.
"It's not possible. How could I possibly be with Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash asked as calm as she could.
Fluttershy was pondering the same exact thing.
"How could I be with Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy asked herself quietly.
They both spent the next hour pondering this, that specific image flashing more and more in their head, which only made them question more. They finally grew tired and they asked a question once again at the same time before they fell asleep.
"Is... This going to happen... In the future?" they both asked before falling back asleep.
A rainbow colored blur speeds by, clearing the clouds within seconds. During this time, Fluttershy just happened to come out from her cottage, images from her dream still lingering in her mind. She looked up and saw the rainbow colored blur clear the last cloud, which just happened to be over her house.
"Well, that's the last cloud cleared," Rainbow Dash said proudly.
"Hi Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy greeted in her usual quiet voice.
Rainbow Dash looked down at the yellow mare that was staring at her.
"Oh, hi Fluttershy," Rainbow Dash greeted back, landing next to Fluttershy.
Fluttershy looked at the rainbow pony. She could of sworn she heard a small shutter in her voice. Something was wrong with Rainbow and she knew it, but she decided not to ask.
"Taking care of the animals again, I see," Rainbow said, seeing a few birds fly around Fluttershy.
"Oh, yes. As always," Fluttershy simply replied.
'She looks so cute- wait, what did I just think?!' Rainbow Dash thought, wondering why the heck did she just say that.
Rainbow pushed it out of her mind. Fluttershy, however, detected this and it just made it harder to ask Rainbow what's wrong. She just wanted to ask badly because she hates seeing her friends disturbed. The nervousness in her voice, the uncanny look in her eyes of something that obviously bothering her. It was just killing her. She managed to keep herself from frowning.
"Fluttershy, why did you choose to have a house here?" Rainbow asked.
"Well, I decided to have a house here after I got to see all the cute animals. It's also when I got my cutie mark," Fluttershy explained.
'I never noticed how beautiful Rainbow- What am I thinking?' Fluttershy thought.
Fluttershy had to hold back a random blush that started to creep onto her face, but she managed to hold it back with it still trying to explode on her face.
They were silent for awhile, listening to the atmospheric sounds of nature all around them. However, this didn't help their subconscious minds whatsoever. It only made their thoughts intent stronger.
In Fluttershy's mind, she was having a battle with her want thoughts. A losing battle. The battlefield in her mind was her standing two feet in front of her cottage and her 'wants' side, standing on the clouds proudfully.
"You know you want to kiss Dashie and also have some very 'special' time with," Fluttershy's 'wants' side said.
"N-no I don't!" Fluttershy yelled in denial.
"Oh, I know you do. Remember, I am you. I know all your secrets, wants, and desires. Even the ones you have locked in the deepest part of your heart," Fluttershy's 'wants' side said.
In Rainbow's mind however, it was completely different how the battle was turning out. The battlefield was extremely similar to the one in Fluttershy's mind. Two rainbow blurs sped by, clashing over and over again. They separated and landed, showing two Rainbow Dashes. The real Rainbow Dash was standing on the clouds and the 'wants' Rainbow Dash was standing on the ground. They were pretty much evenly matched, but the real Rainbow was getting exhausted and the 'wants' Rainbow wasn't.
"You can't beat me at all, not at your skill," the 'wants' Rainbow Dash cockily said.
"Oh yeah!" the real Rainbow Dash yelled, dashing towards her 'wants' side.
Rainbow's 'wants' side immeadiatly knocked her real self away.
"You know you want Fluttershy," the 'wants' Rainbow Dash said.
"What?! No I don't!" the real Rainbow Dash yelled, landing back on her feet.
"It's obvious you do, look at your face," the 'wants' Rainbow Dash quipped.
The real Rainbow Dash looked over in a small puddle that happened to be near her, and her face was red, like she was blushing.
"Okay, maybe I do love Fluttershy," the real Rainbow muttered, blushing more after saying that.
"But, I won't be doing that with her anytime soon. Just because I'm impatient doesn't mean I can't be patient," the real Rainbow said.
The 'wants' Rainbow Dash disappeared and the real Rainbow Dash appeared back into the real world, well her mind came back. Fluttershy did the same exact thing at the same time.
"Look-," both pegasus said, interrupting each other.
"You go first," Rainbow Dash said.
"Okay. I think I am starting to well l-l-love you. I've been having these wierd dreams of us kissing and doing all these things that marefriends do and well, I think we should give it a try," Fluttershy explained, blushing a storm.
"I was about to say the same thing. I have been having these wierd dreams, too," Rainbow explained, blushing as well.
No more was said between the two ponies. Well in words. They couldn't say anything even if they tried. They sealed the deal with a kiss, a first kiss, nonetheless. It was more blissful than each other thought it would be. They felt like they kissed forever and ever. Now, they were marefriends and pretty proud of it.
It seemed like forever before they broke apart to breathe. Neither of them imagined how it would feel like kissing one another until today. They didn't mind at all. They just hoped their friends wouldn't mind.
Okay, I know it's only been 2 chapters and the 2 true main characters are together, but really, it takes me forever to type these chapters. Plus, this is my first fimfiction and I didn't write it out already. So give me a break guys. Anyways, later.
An hour later after Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash became marefriends, a rainbow colored blur shot across the sky. It was obviously Rainbow Dash, but she was moving a lot more swifter than normal and even she noticed it. She felt like she could Sonic Rainboom in an instant.
'I never thought I would be with Fluttershy. I'm guessing I need to expect the unexpected. The others aren't going to believe it!' Rainbow thought, with an excited expression on her face.
Fluttershy was actually thinking the exact same thing back at her cottage.
'I didn't think Rainbow and I would ever be together, but this completely changed my opinion. I don't think any of our friends will believe this,' Fluttershy thought, slightly blushing.
Speaking of their friends, they were planning on telling them at a party that Pinkie Pie had invited them to a few hours ago. They both had decided this when they had became marefriends.
*****An hour earlier*****
Fluttershy and Rainbow were sitting in the living room of Fluttershy's cottage.
"So, how are we going to tell the others?" Rainbow asked, tapping her hoof on the table while trying to think.
"I don't know, but there has to be someway to gather everypony to tell them," Fluttershy answered with a sigh.
"It's not like we can have a meeting or a party and tell them there," Rainbow said, putting her head down on the table.
"A par- Rainbow Dash! That's it!" Fluttershy exclaimed with a beaming smile.
"Wha- what's it?!" Rainbow Dash asked, nearly jumping out of her seat from Fluttershy's outburst.
"The party! Didn't Pinkie invite us to a party?" Fluttershy answered.
"Oh yeah. The whole gang is going to be there! Fluttershy, that's perfect!" Rainbow agreed in excitement.
Fluttershy blushed a deep red, which made Rainbow chuckle. She went over and placed a kiss on her marefriend's cheek. After Rainbow kissed her, Fluttershy giggled at herself for being so bashful and then kissed Rainbow on her cheek.
*****Normal Time*****
Rainbow Dash had already gotten home in half the time it usually takes her to fly home from Fluttershy's cottage. When she landed, images from her dream flashed more clearly through her head. She gave a light smirk, knowing that these things in her head might happen after all and she didn't mind if it did happen. In fact, she was looking foward to having a relationship with Fluttershy. It her it was like a new adventure in her life, except she wasn't leaving Ponyville. The only thing that troubled her was the sight of a familiar figure that see never wanted to see again, but she thought she was seeing things. The party was going to start in an hour which gave her plenty of time to think about how to explain how Fluttershy and her got together.
Meanwhile, back at Fluttershy's cottage, Fluttershy was helping nurse a small mouse back to health, when she heard somepony clear their throat. She turned around, but saw nothing until she looked down at a small white bunny looking at her with his arms crossed. It was Fluttershy's pet bunny, Angel Bunny, tapping his foot like he was waiting for something.
"Oh, Angel Bunny. Do you need something?" Fluttershy asked her pet.
She then heard Angel Bunny's stomach growl.
"Oh, I almost forgot to feed you. Luckily, I've had a carrot waiting for you in the oven," Fluttershy said, walking to the kitchen to get the warm carrot for Angel Bunny.
Angel Bunny was a little surprised that his owner was thinking ahead. His own frown started to soften at this, but when he heard her walking back, he regained his normal composure.
"Here you go Angel," Fluttershy said, placing the plate with the carrot in front of Angel Bunny.
Fluttershy knew the party was going to start in 10 minutes, so she went outside of her cottage, only to be greeted by Rainbow Dash a few seconds later.
"Hey Fluttershy," Rainbow greeted, landing right by Fluttershy.
"Hi Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy greeted back.
Rainbow was about to ask if Fluttershy was ready to go to Pinkie's party, when Fluttershy nuzzled her wing. Rainbow started to giggle and get a faint blush. Fluttershy didn't know that Rainbow's wing was very ticklish when something soft, like fur, brushes across it.
"Fl-fl-fluttershy," Rainbow stuggled to say, trying to hold her laughter in.
"Hmm... Oh! Sorry Rainbow Dash!" Fluttershy quickly apologized, blushing a deep red.
"It's no problem. So, are you ready to go?" Rainbow responded with the faint blush still visible on her face.
Fluttershy nodded. Both Rainbow and Fluttershy turned in the direction of Sugarcube Corner, to see two familiar ponies. Both ponies were very well known throughout Equestria, mainly for their music. It was the most well known DJ in all Equestria, Vinyl Scratch (or better well known as DJ Pon-3), and the most known Cellist in all Equestria, Octavia.
Vinyl was a marshmellow white unicorn that has a electric blue mane and tail with light blue streaks. She also has magenta eyes, but not that many ponies have seen them because she wears her purple shades most of the time. Her cutie mark is a pair of black eighth notes.
Octavia was a brown earth pony with a charcoal black mane and tail. She also wears a bowtie and she has lavender eyes. Her cutie mark is a lavender treble cleft.
"DJ? Octavia? What are you two doing here?" Rainbow asked, walking up to the two mares.
"Um... Well... We came here to go visit my sister, Pinkie. I heard she is having a party where we can make some life changing confessions and there is one confession I have to make," Octavia explained.
"Really? Because I have to make one, too," Rainbow said.
"How about we go to the party together, since all of us are headin' that way?" Vinyl asked, stepping forward a few steps.
They all agreed and headed to Sugarcube Corner. On the way, they met up with Rarity and Applejack just a couple of blocks down. They were all in for a big surprise once everyone arrived at Pinkie's.
***30 minutes later***
The door to Sugarcube Corner opened to reveal two unicorns. A loud gasp was heard from Rarity, Pinkie, Applejack, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. The last two guests were Twilight Sparkle and somepony they never expected to see again. It was The Great and Powerful Trixie.
"What in the hay are you doin' here?" Applejack asked, looking at the unicorn with a cold glare.
"We thought we had ran you outta town! Do we have to run you out again?!" Rainbow asked angrilly, looking like she was going to kick Trixie all the way out of town herself.
Then, the unexpected happened. Twilight jumped right in front of Trixie, defending her. This made both Applejack and Rainbow Dash back down.
"Twilight, why are you defendin' her after the terrible things she has done to us?" a confused Applejack asked, looking at her friend.
"She has changed. I found her wounded and unconscious on my doorstep. What did you expect me to do?! Leave her out there to die in the cold?! I can't and won't turn my back on somepony that needs my help, especially if they are on the brink of death!" Twilight explained in an angry, yet calm tone.
Hearing this, everypony looked Twilight and Trixie in guilt. They never knew Trixie was hurt and she was out cold, wounded on Twilight's doorstep.
"Twilight, I think that's enough. I need to say something to them myself," Trixie said, walking forward.
She looked towards the five members of the mane six that were looking at her.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything I've done to humiliate you all! I just wanted to be known as somepony, but I didn't mean to hurt anypony! I hope you can forgive me!" Trixie cried, apologizing as well as she could between gasps in her breath.
They all looked at the light blue unicorn that was crying her eyes out. They all felt guilt, but her apology made smile on the inside, knowing that it was the truth and not a lie.
"We forgive you," Fluttershy said with a smile.
"We can all see you've changed just from how you're acting," Rarity explained with a light expression on her face.
Trixie looked up at the other ponies and saw their smiles.
"Thank you all," Trixie said, smiling with tears still streaming down her face.
"Now with all of that out of the way. LET'S PARTY!!!!" Pinkie yelled, getting party poppers out of nowhere.
"Hang on a second, I thought we were supposed to tell a few confessions first," Octavia said, just walking in the door.
"Octavia!" Pinkie yelled, galloping over to her older sister.
"Nice to see you too, Pinkie," Octavia greeted, giving her younger sister a hug.
"What are you doing here? I thought you had to go to Phillydelphia for a concert," Pinkie asked.
"Well, I had a few weeks before I go and preform, so I decided to drop by... with a friend," Octavia explained.
They were going to ask who her friend was, but just before they asked, she walked in.
"Tav, do you mean me?" Vinyl asked with a smirk.
"DJ?!" Twilight, Trixie, and Pinkie yelled in surprise.
They never expected DJ Pon-3 to be here. She was usually running the music for a club in a city, not that far from Phillydelphia.
"Now, I really need to ask what are you doing here?!" a confused Pinkie exclaimed.
"Well, since the club needs to be repaired, thanks to some drunk colt, I thought I should go with Octavia. I had nothing else to do," Vinyl explained, adjusting her sunglasses which were slightly slanted.
"Okay... But who's going to go first?" Pinkie Pie asked, putting her hoof on her chin.
"Pinkie, how about us," said a slightly chilling, but familiar voice from around a wall corner.
Pinkie walked over and whispered to her.
"Are you sure?" Pinkie quietly asked.
"Yes Pinkie, I am," the voice answered quietly back.
Pinkie gave a slight nod and stepped over to the left, away from the corner. A pink earth pony walked out from behind the wall. She looked almost exactly like Pinkie. The only differences was that her fur, mane, and tail was a darker shade of pink and her mane and tail was just straight, like when Pinkie turn into Pinkineama.
"Pinkie Pie, who is this and why does she look like we met her before?" Rainbow asked, looking at both of them, surprised.
"You guys have met her before! You honestly don't remem-" Pinkie was explained before she was interrupted.
"Pinkie let me explain it. I'm Pinkinema Diane Pie," the other Pinkie greeted.
Everypony in the room was confused. They though Pinkie was Pinkinema Diane Pie. How could she be her?

What's up fellow bronies and pegasisters?! Swift Hooves here! Man, it's good to be writing again. I had a little bit of writer's block, but now, I'm back everypony! This chapter will have everypony that is at Pinkie's "confession" party say who they're paired with and how or why they are now with that pony. It will go Pinkie/Pinkinema, OctaScratch (Vinyl Scratch/Octavia), Rarity/Applejack, and finally Twixie (Twilight/Trixie). Let's get this chapter started! This will only feature Pinkie and Pinkinema's confession.
Everypony looked at Pinkinema. Shocked or surprised couldn't describe everypony looking at Pinkinema.
"You all know that I'm Pinkie's depressed side, but 'how did I escape her mind?' or 'how is there two of us now?' is probably what you might be wondering," Pinkinema inferred, just beginning her explanation.
Everypony but Pinkie and Pinkinema nodded.
"I thought so. Pinkie, do you want to start the story?" Pinkinema asked.
"Okey doky loki! It started last night in my room. Everypony else was asleep, but I was looking at myself in the mirror-- well, at Pinkinema..."
***Flashback: Pinkie's bedroom - 10:45 P.M. - Three days from the present***
"*sigh* Pinkie, did I ever tell you that I had no friends in my universe?" Pinkinema, who was wearing a dark pink nightgown, asked with her ears drooping and a sad look on her face.
Pinkie (wearing a pink nightgown with her cutie mark on it), who was laying down and looking up at the ceiling, sat up and looked at the mirror that was Pinkinema standing at. She look like she was going to start crying at any moment. At the sight, Pinkie quickly made her way over to her mirror and pressed her hoof where Pinkinema's was on the glass. What she didn't know was that there was a quiet shatter of a mini mirror when she had jumped out of her bed. The glass disappeared, and in it's place was a metallic, liquid-like substance.
"Pinkie, what's that?" Pinkinema asked, seeing the bright light from the broken mirror.
Pinkie twirled around, and because of Twilight's speeches (out of the few she actually listened to), she knew it was a portal. But to where? She walked over and looked at the portal to see Pinkinema from the side. She put her hoof in the mirror.
"Pinkinema! Look to your left!" Pinkie excitedly told her.
Pinkinema looked to the left and saw Pinkie in her small mirror and she had her hoof through it.
"Pinkie?! How did-... Pinkie! Break this mirror!" Pinkinema yelled, as an idea emerged in her head.
"WHAT?! Are you crazy?! If I do that, I can't talk to you!" Pinkie protested.
"Pinkie, that mirror that you told me look in got broken five minutes ago. It didn't let you put your hoof through the mirror before you broke your mirror. This means that if we both break our large mirrors, I can come to your universe! Then, we will be together, standing right by each other and not separated by barriers!" Pinkinema explained.
Pinkie looked at Pinkinema with disbelief in her eyes. Should she listen to her and break the mirror or should she say no and keep the mirror right where it is? Her mind was conflicted between the two decisions.
Pinkinema saw this and asked, "Do you trust me?"
Pinkie looked over at her mirror. There was nothing but a deafening silence between the two for the next five minutes. Then, Pinkie suddenly dashed up to the mirror and knocked it down onto the ground, shattering it into pieces. Pinkinema did the same thing, seeing a glimmer in Pinkie's eyes right before she dashed to the mirror and knowing that she trusted her. When both mirrors broke, Pinkie pushed her broken mirror up against the wall and in place of the glass was the same metallic, liquid-like portal she saw earlier. Pinkie moved halfway into the portal and met with Pinkinema for the first time in the flesh. Pinkinema walked up to Pinkie with dried tears stained on her face.
Pinkie reached out for Pinkinema and said, "You're not alone anymore, Pinkinema."
Pinkinema smiled and started crying a little. She walked towards Pinkie, a new life just wait for her to discover lied ahead. Pinkie embraced her with a hug, which she gladly returned. Pinkie went back in the portal after they broke apart, Pinkinema followed. She stopped to look back at her gloomy dark room and then, she walked through the portal. Right as she walked through the portal, Pinkie kissed her on the lips. When Pinkie pulled away, she was very surprised.
"I wanted to do that for a long time," Pinkie said, blushing a deep red.
Pinkinema smiled and nodded, knowing that she had the same feelings for her.
"Pinkie," Pinkinema called quietly.
"What is it?" Pinkie asked.
"Thank you. For trusting me," Pinkinema answered smiling while tilting her head down to the ground shyly.
"What are marefriends for?" Pinkie asked, returning the smile.
Marefriends. It was that word that touch Pinkinema's heart. She now had a new life with Pinkie and she was going live it to the fullest.
***End of Flashback***
Everypony looked at the took identical mares in awe. They thought that something like that was impossible, but Pinkie made it possible (she breaks physics and the fourth wall, it makes sense). Twilight was the most shocked, since this story defied her logic like everypony wouldn't believe, but she accepted it.
"That's amazing Pinkinema, but how'd you figure that out anyways?" Twilight asked.
"Well, I had a hunch when Pinkie said that it was a portal. I had a feeling that I was right," Pinkinema simply explained.
"Do Mr. and Mrs. Cake know about this?" Octavia asked.
Both Pinkie and Pinkinema nodded.
"They were confused at first, but they were completely fine with it," Pinkie answered cheerfully.
"Okay, then who's next?" Applejack asked abruptly.
"Well, I want to know why you're here, Vinyl," Twilight said, curious about why the most known DJ in all Equestria was here.
"Well, it's a long story," Vinyl replied, with a faint blush.
Since she had just happened to take off her sunglasses, she took a look at Octavia. Octavia walked over to Vinyl.
"Actually, I think I should be the one to explain," Octavia insisted.
Okay I finally updated this story! Nightfire, you can quit bothering me about it! This took way too freakin' long to do this chapter. I was going to explain all the pairings in this chapter, but now I'm not! Anyways, see you later everypony.
