The Mistake
“It's time to party!” Pinkie Pie screamed getting a cheer from the crowd of ponies around her. It was Applebloom's birthday. Everything was great. Pinkie Pie blasted the party cannon, letting it decorate the Apple family's barn with confetti and streamers.
“Thanks, Pinkie Pie.” Applebloom said, her cute accent laced in her voice.
“No problem! I love making ponies smile.” Pinkie said excitedly. She gave Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo each a slice of cake.
“Thanks!” They all said, running off to eat.
“Pinkie,” came another thick southern voice from behind her. The pink earth pony turned around to see Applejack. “Thanks for throwing this party. Ah really appreciate it.”
“You're welcome Applejack!” Pinkie Pie said, throwing her hooves around the other pony, giving her a hug.
Pinkie pulled away and ran to her Party Cannon once again.She struck a match and lit the fuse to it. As the fuse burned down to be possible the biggest blast of the day, a pony ran by knocking the end and turning it.
The fuse finished burning just as Pinkie began changing the cannon's direction back. It went off, exploding fire and confetti out. Pinkie's thought was right, it was the biggest blast of the day. She had also overdone it with the confetti, packing it in until it was just one big ball.
When the cannon went off it was still facing the wrong direction. It was facing into the crowd, straight at Applebloom to be exact.
The blast singed Applebloom's hair and mane, along with a lot of flesh. The confetti hit her at the same moment, the large ball of paper knocking her to the ground. The filly cried out, Vinyl Scratch stopped the music, and every-pony screamed.
Applejack ran to her fallen sister, tears already in the farm-pony's eyes. She examined the burns, they were all over her left side. Her eye was burned pretty bad, all the fur was gone, and her legs and abdomen were burns in the third degree.
Applebloom screamed, her burned flesh and fur making the room smell awful.
“SOME-PONY DO SOMETHING!” Applebloom screamed into the crowd. No-pony stepped forward.
As Applejack began to lose hope, that any-pony would help, Rainbow Dash broke through the crowd, and lifted Applebloom, flying her out the doors and immediately to the hospital. Applejack burst through the Ponyville hospital doors.

“Where is she? Where is Applebloom?” she demanded.
“Sorry Applejack,” Nurse Redheart said, “But Applebloom is in intensive care. She cannot be seen right now.” Applejack nodded and sat down next to Dash in the waiting room. She looked over at the blue pegasus, Dash's fur matted down with slick blood from the filly.
The two sat there in silence for an hour before Nurse Redheart allowed them to see Applebloom. By then the rest of their friends had arrived, and they entered Applebloom's hospital room.
“How is she doctor?” Applejack asked.
“Well, there is no good way to put this so I'll just say it. Applebloom will never walk again. She lost too much flesh on her legs.”
The orange pony stood there in silence until she broke down again. She screamed curses at everything. Pinkie and the party cannon the bulk of them. Applejack reached over and grabbed a lamp, throwing it across the room it shattering onto the wall.
“Listen,” the doctor said. “The flesh is already badly infected. I let you come see her but I'm sorry you have to leave. We are treating her. Her left legs are going to have to be amputated."Applejack ran from the room, sobbing loudly. Her friends followed her, all except Pinkie.
“Hey.” She said the the filly in the hospital bed. “I'm so so so so so so sorry.” Pinkie's eyes began to water. “You have to forgive me it was a mistake.” Pinkie Pie was crying now, the tears flowing down her face.
“It's okay.” Applebloom said, struggling. “Ah forgive you.”
“Thank you.” At that, Pinkie Pie left the room, closing the door behind her.
As Pinkie walked from the hospital doors, she spotted something out the corner of her eye. Something fast, and orange.
Applejack lunged onto Pinkie Pie, taking her to the dirt. She punched Pinkie Pie hard in the face, bloodying her nose and chipping many of her teeth.
“YOU CRIPPLED MY SISTER YOU BITCH! YOU AND YOUR FUCKING PARTY CANNON RUINED HER LIFE!” Screamed AJ as she continued to beat Pinkie Pie, who was crying by now.
Finally Pinkie Pie got some leverage, and she rolled over, pinning down Applejack. Pinkie punched Applejack in the face and stomach. Before standing up and stomping on her former friend's chest.The fight continued until Twilight, along with their friends, ran over, ripping them apart from each other. Rainbow Dash held Applejack back while Twilight held Pinkie.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!” Screamed the unicorn.
“That bitch crippled Applebloom, someone has to punish her.” Applejack said struggling against Dash who held her tight. She wiggled and squirmed against the pony, until she broke through and was released. Her anger had been too much for Dash to control.
Applejack ran forward, taking down Twilight and Pinkie Pie, Applejack kicked Twilight in the face while getting to Pinkie. Twilight Sparkle attempted to separate the two with magic, but the kick hurt her pretty badly, and she was too weak.
Rainbow Dash was by Fluttershy, comforting the yellow pegasus who was crying at the sight of such violence between her friends. Fluttershy then mumbled something inaudible.
“What was that?” Rainbow said, leaning closer.
“STOP IT!” Fluttershy screamed at her two friends who were fighting. Applejack got off of Pinkie Pie and the two looked at Fluttershy, expecting something else to be said.
When Applejack realized Fluttershy wasn't going to say anything else, she did the only reasonable thing she could think of. AJ lifted Pinkie and walked over to the Ponyville, Everfree Forrest border. She threw Pinkie over into the Everfree Forrest, and stood there. The pink earth pony stood up and began walking over the border, and stopped and stared. For out of nowhere, Applejack stood there, with a revolver to Pinkie Pie's head.
