How Can I Tell Her?

View Online

THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP. Celestia paced across her bedroom, thinking furiously of what to do. What should I tell her? But I'm the princess, I can tell her. OH, but it would break her heart if I told her! Ugh, what should I do!? Think Celestia THINK! GRRRRRRUGH! Huh? Celestia heard a faint whisper.
"Celestia?"
"Who's there?" She said.
"It's me," the voice said.
"Your sister?" It said again.
"Huh?" Celestia said finally getting out of her head.
"Hello? Your sister, Luna?" Luna said.
"Oh, sorry Luna, I was kind of- In your head?" Luna finished her sentence for her sister.
"Yeah. Your right, I zoned out a bit there didn't I?" She said.
. "Yeah, you did for a really long time." Luna said.
"What? How long?!" She said.
"Well, I counted and if my calculations are correct, you have been pacing and zoning in your head for about six hours." Luna said calmly like nothing was wrong.
"I WHAT!" She said freaking out.
"Yeah, and don't forget sunset in twelve minutes!" Luna said, as she trotted off to her room where then, she would raise the moon after her elder sister.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Celestia's eye twitched, as she thought about those six hours, she had spent, thinking about one single question alone: What to tell Twilight Sparkle? The clock chimed in her bedroom chambers, which told her that it was time to lower her beautiful sun in to the heavens again. Then once she had lowered her sun, Luna raised her also beautiful moon across the land of Equestria, into the night. Celestia sighed. She didn't know what to do now, wheather to tell Twilight, or to not tell Twilight. She couldn't decide right off, but she would eventully think of at least one idea. And before she realized it she was very sleepy all of a sudden. So, she untucked her covers and sheets, and walked over to her balcony, where her sister stood.
"Goodnight Luna, and watch the night." She said.
"You as well sister, and have thou' great slumber, and, sleep well, and remember do NOT pace throughout the nighttime." Luna said smiling.
"See you in the morning Luna!" Celestia said cheerfully and a little sleepy.
"You as well." Was all Luna said, before she turned her gaze back across the land of Equestria.
Then, Celestia, turned and walked back to her bed, and tucked herself in, and dozed off into a good nights sleep before she told her lavander alicorn Twilight Sparkle.

The letter

Dear Twilight,
I need you to come to canterlot palace, alone. I need to talk to you about something, I hope you are not too busy. (I know how you are these days.)
Sincerely,
Princess Celestia. Celestia sighed. She knew it was going to be a long day to come. Her clock chimed the hour, and she knew it was her time to raise her sun back across the land of Equestria. She walked over to her balcony, she saw her sister standing there.
"Good morning Luna!" She said cheerfully.
"You as well sister, and how was thou' slumber?" Luna said.
"Great, glad you asked!" She said.
Luna turned her gaze back upon the sky, and lowered her moon. Then Celestia raised her sun across the land, leaving Equestria, in brightness. The Celestia remembered about her letter, she walked back into her room, and she called on her magic to help her. There was a bright yellow aura around her horn, she levitated the letter over to herself, and sent it to Twilight.
----------------------------------------------------------
"Hey, Spike?" Twilight said.
"Yeah? What is it?" He said back to her.
"Are there an- BURP!" A letter popped up in green smoke.
Twilight levitated it over to herself.
Dear Twilight,
I need you to come to canterlot palace, alone. I need to talk to you about something, I hope you are not too busy. (I know how you are these days.)
Sincerely,
Princess Celestia. Twilight giggled at the sentence, '(I know how you are these days.)'.
"Spike, I need you to take a letter. STAT!" Twilight said.
"Ok, sure." He said back.
---------------------------------------------------------
Dear Princess Celestia,
I can come today, would three- o'clock work out for you? I bet what your going to say to me is important. And I won't bring anypony, or Spike. I won't bring him, I swear. And I hope I can come at three.
Sincerely,
Twilight Sparkle. Celestia then sent a letter back saying that three o'clock would work and it is very important that she come at three-o'clock. So Celestia watched at waited, as the hours ticked by, when finally three-o'clock came.
"Here we go Celestia, you can do this." Celestia mumbled to herself.
She heard the throne room doors open. Three words came to her mind. Twilight was here.

A Talk To Never Forget

"Hello, Princess Celestia!" Twilight said cheerfully.
"Hello to you to, Twilight." She said.
"So, what did you want to talk about? Books!? A new spell?!" Twilight said hopefully.
"No, none of those things. Sorry, but, do you want to come outside to my balcony?" She said.
"Sure, Princess!" Twilight said wondering what she wanted to talk about so badly?
"Twilight, you know if we're not in public, you can call me Celestia." She said.
"Ok, Celestia." Twilight said.
The pair walked outside to Celestia's balcony, where the sun shined brightly across Equestria. When they got outside to her balcony, Celestia started to speak.
"Twilight, I need to tell you something, that has been bothering me for the past years. I knew that one day, you would become an alicorn, but, there is one thing that will scar you for years to come." She said.
"What could possibly be so bad, that would scar me for years to come?" Twilight asked with confusion.
"You don't know yet, do you?" She said
"No, not one little clue. At all." Twilight said trying to figure out what could be so bad?
"Y- your f- friends are a- all going t-to d-d-d-d-die around you. Everyone, your friends, family, everything." She said.
Twilight stood there, completely frozen. Those words shocked her, everyone? Was there any way to stop her friends, and families death? Twilight weeped quietly in front of Celestia. Celestia put a wing on Twilight's back.
"Shh, it will be ok." She said soothingly.
"Is there any way to stop it?" Twilight said still weeping.
"We, or should I say, I, have tried almost every single one of my spell books. But, I still have one, your Starswirl The Bearded spell book." Celestia said.
"I brought it with me, hehe, I thought we were going to work on spells!" Twilight said blushing.
"We will look through it together." She said.
"Alright, but what if we don't find a spell that will stop their death?" Twilight said with concern.
"I, will try my best, and hardest, to make that NOT happen. I don't want to see you suffer and grief about it every day and night. Now would we?" She said.
"But, I want you to know, that if we don't find any spells to stop it, then let it it happen. It's all a part of life." She said holding the weeping Twilight.
"I guess you are right, let's look inside that book!" Twilight said with lot's of hope. But still weeping.

The Book

All through the day, Celestia and Twilight tried and tried to find a spell, that would stop death itself. Even though Twilight looked and looked, farther in to the book, she got to the last chapter, and Celestia was looking at her copy, also on the last chapter. Twilight looked at the chapter's name, she had dought it would be there, and she almost gave up hope. Almost. She turned to the next page, and looked across the table at Celestia, Celestia looked up still a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
"Celestia, i'm starting to dought, that, that there, are n-n no spells, th-that have, any, any stop in, d-d-d-d-death." Twilight said sobbing quietly.
Celestia had a tear roll down her cheek, and it plopped on the floor making a little sound, that only could be heard by this kind of moment. Complete silence. While Twilight weeped about falling on her forelegs dropping on to the floor, Celestia weeped quietly too. She was sad for her student, with only a couple more pages left in the book, even Celestia gave up hope, but, she didn't give up hope completely. She took the book up in her golden aura, and turned to the very last page of the book. Twilight was still weeping, now with her hooves covering her eyes, so she didn't notice much. When Celestia turned to the final page, she saw it.
"Twilight!" Celestia said excitedly. "I, I think I found it!" Celestia said before giving Twilight the book to see if she was right. She was right.
