Woona and the Banana

Princess Woona woke up in her crescent mood bed as she yawned and softly kicked her small, daintily legs. Her vision was still hazy as she yawned a second time before crawling out of her bed. She stretched her limbs and glanced over at her older sister, Tia, still asleep in her sun themed bed. Woona smiled happily as she felt a familiar feeling well up within her. Gurgle....gurgle...gurgle came the loud, ear piercing sound in her stomach, or so she felt it was.

"Owie, Woona needs food," she lightly said to herself as she ventured to the kitchen.

Woona slowly took a couple of steps towards the kitchen as the stomach cramps still persisted within her belly. Eventually, the noises and gurgles subsided as she left her bedroom. She went around the corner of her bedroom and embarked down the flight of stairs towards the main door. Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, Woona did a complete 360 degree turn, ignored the front door, and headed along side the stairwell. The first door on her left was the dining room, a room that was only used for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She never understood why but her mother would always be upset when she played in that room. So, without even a second glance, she continued forward towards the second door on her left, the kitchen. She hopped her way into the kitchen as a bunny would, humming a soft tune to herself while she scanned the room for food.

She walked into the kitchen and stopped in front of the Magical Food Box, otherwise known as the fridge. She opened the fridge and only saw a few items: eggs, milk, orange juice, and other non-delectable items. Woona made a sour face as she closed the door. The gurgles started again in her stomach as she opened the cabinets that were in reach. Crackers and cookies would be tasty, but she was in no such mood for these items. Woona used her magic to open the slightly taller cabinets, but her magic quickly ran out and she was exhausted.

"If Tia was awake, she could open those," she sighed to herself.

Woona looked on top of the counter towards the fruit bowl. Her eyes grew wide as she could've sworn she heard an angel's choir off into the distance. Inside the fruit bowl was none other that one beautiful, yellow-ripe banana. She licked her lips as she used her magic to levitate the banana from the bowl. She was about to peel it when a thought came to mind. This banana was Tia's favorite kind of food, and she knew better than to eat said fruit. She put the banana back into the bowl. Then she took it back out. Then she put it back again into the bowl. She repeated this process over and over until she heard footsteps descending from upstairs. Woona's mind sprang into action as she ran out through the kitchen door, turned left, and bolted into the family room. She sat down on the sofa and turned the television on. Cartoons began to play as she heard the steps begin to creak and moan. Tia yawned as she still descended the stairs. Woona sighed heavily at knowing that she did the right thing and put the fruit back.....only to realize her levitation magic was still holding the banana in its purple glow.

Woona let out a small peep as Tia walked towards the family room.

Oh please don't come in here. Oh please don't come in here Woona thought to herself.

"Oh Woona, are you up already?" Tia asked soothingly.

"Yep!" squeaked Woona.

"Are you ok, Woona? You usually don't squeak like that unless I'm tickling you," Tia replied jokingly.

"No, Tia, I'm fine. I'm just watching some cartoons," Woona quickly replied.

"Ok, dear sister, as long as you're ok," Tia replied, her voice trailing off.

Phew, thank goodness she didn't walk in here. Now the problem is how do I sneak this back into the kitchen without Tia noticing? Woona thought to herself. As she pondered this, she heard the flurry of cabinets opening and closing and various drawers being opened and slammed repeatedly. In what felt like an eternity, a dead, eerie silence filled the house. The only noise that was being produced was from the television, as even Woona herself held her breath.

"Oh Dear sisterrrrr," coyed Tia.

"Yessssss?" asked Woona.

"Would you like to play a game, dear sister?" Tia asked with mischief in her voice.

"What kind of game," Woona asked with worry throbbing in her voice.

"Oh, I don't know, I'll let you choose. We can play 20 questions or we can play hide and seek. Your choice Woona," Tia replied in a sing-song manner.

"Uhh, ummmm, Hide and seek?" Woona asked innocently.

"Ohohoho, dear sister, you DO like to have fun in the morning, don't you? Well, it matters not, Woona, I'll give you a head start if you can answer my question," Tia asked, her voice trailing off into the distance.

Woona sat on the couch and began to sweat, her heart throbbing and pounding within her chest. She glanced over her shoulder at the door numerous times, awaiting for something to appear. She did not hear Tia's voice in awhile, so she turned back again. Still nothing in the doorway, she turned around and saw a shadow of something out of the corner of her right eye. She saw a celestial mane flowing freely in the dark on the far end of the couch. The shadow just sat there, staring into the television, its body surrounded by darkness.

"Tiiiaaa?" asked a scared Woona.

"Where...is....my.. BANANA!" Celestia roared, her creepy face illuminated by the glow of the television.

"AAAgghhhh!" squeaked Woona as she ran out of the room and down the hall.

Woona sprinted as fast as her legs could carry her. She bolted straight ahead to the end of the hallway where sanctuary awaited. The door that led to the outside would surely grant Woona her freedom and safety. She tried to open the door and escape from the house, only to realize a powerful incantation was cast on the locks, preventing her departure from the prison of Tia.

"Oh, dear Woona, you didn't think you could escape with my favorite food, now did you?" Tia asked, her voice bouncing off the walls and into Woona's ears.

This is a madhouse! A MADHOUSE!! Woona thought to herself as she ran upstairs.

"Oh, dear me sister, haven't you learned anything from the horror movies we watch? Once you go upstairs, you have no escape," Tia said into the thick, tense atmosphere.

Woona ignored this as she ran upstairs and into Tia's closet. She hid herself and her "possession" in a pile of clothes. Thinking of a better way to conceal herself, she flipped over a laundry basket and put the clothes inside of the basket on top of it.

"This camofwauge will work. She'll never look in here," Woona quietly said to herself.

Woona could hear the soft, quiet creaks from the stairs again. It was Tia and she was on the hunt for her banana. Every creak, every groan from the stairs made Woona's little heart beat faster and faster at each step. Woona began to hyperventilate and tried to slow her breathing so Tia wouldn't find her. The final creak from the step ceased as silence cut through the air like a knife. Woona could see her sister's hoofsteps through the cracks of the closet as she slowly slid deeper into the clothing abyss. Tia's hooves stopped on the soft, pick carpet.

Woona could see all four of her sister's legs, each one perfectly standing still, not budging an inch. Tia was turning her head around the room, scanning for her dear sister. Tia sighed and huffed and she slowly left the room, but she wouldn't leave without another terrifying remark.

"Woona, come out, come out, wherever you are! Remember dear sister, the sun's powers can see everything, even the darkest corners of the MOON!" Tia menacingly laughed out loud.

Woona stayed quiet and hidden as she turned her head and still saw the banana still covered by the clothes. When she looked back through the cracks of the closet again, she saw Tia's four hooves standing in front of it.

"Here's TIA!" Tia yelled, opening the door where only her face could be seen.

Woona squeaked again and ran over Tia, knocking her aside.

"Oh, no, you don't," Tia said sternly as her horn glowed yellow. Tia enveloped Woona's back two hind-legs with her magic as Woona fell on the fluffy, pink carpet. The banana gingerly fell softly beside Woona, the purple glow of magic fading from its curved structure.

Woona struggled to get free, but she couldn't break free of her sister's strong magical ability.

"Stop struggling, Woona, calm down. I just want to know why you took it," Tia asked.

"I was h-h-hungry, and I was about to put it back, but when I heard your footsteps, I ran into the family room because I was scared you would get mad," Woona said, her voice cracking. "I thought I put it back, honest!"

"Why would I be angry with you," Tia asked softly, as she released Woona's hind-legs from her magic.

"Because I took your favorite food," Woona replied with tears in her eyes.

"Oh, silly little sister, I won't ever be mad because of something like that. It's just food after all. We can always get more of the same-"

Celestia's voice was interrupted by the loud, audible gurgling of Woona's belly.

"So you really were hungry, huh?" asked a chuckling Tia.

"Well, yeah," Woona replied somberly.

"Here, Woona, I have an idea," Tia replied.

Tia used her magic and partially unpeeled the banana that lay on the floor. She gave the exposed half of it to her sister and the other half was still in its skin.

Woona took the half of the banana that her sister gave her and began to slowly munch on it, a warm smile illuminating on her small, chubby face. Woona's smile is as bright as the sun itself Tia thought in her head. Tia smiled back at Woona as she took a bite out of her own banana.

"C'mon, Woona, let's go watch some TV, then we can play outside, ok?" asked Tia lovingly.

"Sure, big sis!" Woona shrieked as her body bounced off the ground. "Hey, Tia, I have a question."

"What is it, Woona?"

"Can you teach me how to perform that incantation spell on the lock on the front door," asked Woona, still munching on her snack.

Tia began to chuckle before she burst into a fit of laughter. "There was no incantation spell, little sister," she replied.

"Then how?-"

"You didn't unlock the deadbolt on the door," Tia said with a smirk on her face.

"Ohhhhhh," Woona answered.

"Now, Woona, let's go watch some TV, shall we?" asked Tia.

"You bet, Tia! Last one there is a rotten egg!" Woona yelled as they both raced towards the family room.

Princess Luna woke up during the day and smacked her lips together. "My, what a bizarre dream," she said to herself as she stretched her aching limbs. Luna was quite thirsty so she left her private quarters and went downstairs towards the kitchen. The bright sun shone through the windows, a sight that made Luna's eyes squint with displeasure. Luna walked over to the sink and fetched herself a glass of water. She finished the water and put the glass into the sink.

As she was leaving the kitchen, she noticed a single banana in the fruit bowl atop the kitchen counter. Luna smiled devilishly as she walked over the bowl and used her magic to pick up the banana.

"Remember dear sister, the sun's powers can see everything, even the darkest corners of the moon," a voice whispered through the kitchen.

Luna glanced quickly behind her to see no one. She immediately put the fruit back into the bowl and left the kitchen. "Maybe another time," Luna said to herself as she ascended the stairs to her chamber.

A soft chuckling could be heard in the kitchen as Princess Celestia climbed out from behind a crate of bananas, a bright, gleaming grin stretched across her face.

The Ninja of the Night

Tia was rudely awoken by a loud crashing noise outside. She woke up in a cold sweat, terrified by what was happening. She clutched her sun plushie, giving it an audible squeak, the sole noise that could calm her down. Tia quickly rolled over and looked outside her bedroom window. She tilted her head to the side as she saw a few trashcans littered about in the driveway.

Odd that they fell over that way. Oh well, probably just the wind Tia thought to herself as she lie back in her bed. She snuggled up with her sun plushie, giving it a hard squeak as she sighed deeply and contently, her mind now at ease. That was, until, a second loud crashing noise came from outside again. Tia's head perked straight up and her whole body went rigid. With stuttering movements, she slowly looked outside the window. She saw a person with a mask on stealing things out of the garbage can. Tia was appalled by this behavior and called for her sister, Woona.

Woona lay in her bed, sound asleep, her front forelegs softly kicking in the air. Tia's face frowned at this scene and decided to change it. She threw her sun plushie at Woona; a soft, but audible squeak echoed as it bounced off Woona's nose. Woona groggily shook her head, quickly yawned, then donned herself further into the blankets. Tia could not believe that her sister could sleep so soundly while all this ruckus was going on outside. Tia jumped from her bed onto the half pink, half purple carpet that divided the room into two. The pink side of the room was Tia's half and the purple side was Woona, an agreement that each sister had acknowledged and signed. The parchment of their agreement hung in a neat, single frame on the wall between both sections, thus amplifying the seriousness of the agreement. Tia walked over to Woona and blocked her nose with her front hoof. Within seconds Woona woke up, desperately drawing for oxygen through her mouth. Woona gasped and shot a glare at Tia, dissapointment and anger colored all over her chubby, small face.

"And you woke me up, why?" demanded Woona.

"There's a thief outside, dear sister! And he's raiding our garbage cans!" pleaded Tia.

"A thief...outside....in the trash cans?" Woona said, her right foreleg pointing to the window. "Out there?"

"Yes, look in the window," Tia said with concern in her voice.

Woona rolled her eyes and climbed out of her crescent bed. She jumped into Tia's bed and looked outside through the window. She scanned the knocked over trash cans, but no one was there. No person, no thief, nothing. Just knocked over cans and the occasional blowing of the wind on the spilled garbage lay outside. This is a waste of time Woona thought to herself, as she yawned in boredom. As Woona was about to mock Tia, she saw a small shadowy creature emerge from behind a tree and sprint towards the can. It grabbed one of the bags and began to pull it, dragging its contents along the ground.

"Hmmmm, there is something out there, Tia," Woona said, a hoof resting underneath her chin. "However, I can't see what it is, so let's go investigate!" Woona exclaimed as she jumped from the bed.

"Sister, no, I'm scared," Tia replied.

"Pee-shaw, Tia. Don't you remember what mom and dad said. 'I am the ruler of the night. The shadows and darkness shall bow before me.' Remember?" Woona said, reassuring Tia.

"They also said that when you eat peas, you get gas," replied Tia.

"That's something else!" Woona cried out. "C'mon, let's go see what it is. I'll be right behind you, ok?" asked Woona.

Tia somberly nodded her head as the duo quietly left their room. They went on the tips of their hooves as they approached the stairs. They went down the stairs backwards, the carpet of the steps tickling their soft underbelly. The sisters stifled their giggles as they reached the bottom of the steps. They went alongside the railing and into the kitchen. Upon entering the kitchen, the noise that could be heard outside was even stronger than it was upstairs. Woona located the door leading to the garage at the far right side of the kitchen, merely feet away from both of them.

"Are you ready, Tia?" asked Woona.

"No," peeped Tia.

"Here," Woona said, grabbing a strainer from a cabinet near the floor. "Put this on, it'll keep you safe." Woona put the strainer on top of Tia's head, providing some protection from whatever force was out there. Woona chuckled at this sight as Tia looked like she had been in a Royal Guard outfit, the strainer too big for her head, and its length covering most of her face.

Woona turned the flood light on so they could both see the driveway and whatever that thing was outside. Woona unlocked the door and triumphantly stepped outside, with Tia meekly following behind her. As they both rounded the corner of the door and walked towards the driveway, they saw what destruction lay before them.

Two trashcans had been knocked over and its contents lay sprawled all over the driveway. A couple of bags had been torn open and litter now covered most of the entire driveway. Even the pieces that didn't end up in the driveway had been blown into the grass thanks to the gusty and ill-timed wind currents. Woona tried to find the culprit who did this, a sense of justice and righteousness welling up within her. Tia hid behind her sister, not knowing what would attack of harm them.

Without warning, a brown and black creature jumped out from the darkness and onto the driveway. Tia shrieked in terror and ran into the house.

"Figures," said Woona as she rolled her eyes. Woona stared at this masked creature, its black and brown fur enveloping and twisting around its body. Woona thought the creature was pretty cute, in a dastardly and sneaky way. Woona just stared at the creature as Tia called for Woona to come back into the house because it was too dangerous. Woona declined the offer, stating that she would defeat this tyrant of garbage cans.

Upon hearing this, the raccoon stood on its hind legs and took a defensive stance. Woona recognized this stance and immediately went into her "crouching tiger" stance. The raccoon chittered, unaware that Woona knew karate as well.

"So, you are a ninja!" Woona exclaimed gleefully. "Then this will be fun! But let's make a deal shall we? If you win, you can have whatever you want inside our house, food-wise of course. But if I win, you become one of my first most loyal servants, serving under me until the day I die," Woona requested, her eyes brimming with excitement.

The raccoon seemed to understand as he chittered before he made his first move. The raccoon threw a left kick at Woona, but she easily blocked it and counter-attacked with a sweeping leg kick. The raccoon was caught off balance, its right leg being swept out from beneath him as he landed. Woona pressed on the offense, throwing a hard right hoof hook at the creature. The raccoon saw this in time and did a back-flip, perfectly disengaging from the blow.

"My, you're good," Woona said, complimenting the creature. The raccoon chittered back, as if to say The same to you.

This ferocious and furry battle lasted for a couple of minutes, but in Woona's mind, this was a battle for the night itself. Woona engaged and disengaged with the beast, receiving blows and dishing them out. Tiny little hooves and paws were flying everywhere until the final attack decided the outcome of the battle itself. The raccoon went in with a left jab, jumping in the night sky and flying towards Luna. Woona sidestepped the attack, and threw a right counter hoof into its back, slamming the creature to the pavement with a thud. Woona gasped in fear that she might have hurt the poor creature. Woona ran over to the raccoon and sat down, a look of worry cast over her face.

"Are you alright," she asked.

The raccoon merely chittered and sat up, his arms crossed in defeat. The raccoon nodded his head and bowed, signaling Woona's vcitory. Woona squealed with joy as Tia came back outside.

"You won?" said Tia, surprise filling her lungs.

"Yep, it's all thanks to the karate lessons dad makes me take. It seems they came in handy!" Woona replied as she struck different karate poses. "Well, I think I figured out a name for him."

"What's his name then," asked Tia as she looked at the raccoon.

"His name shall be Reginald. Reginald, The Raccoon, my most faithful and loyal servant," Woona said smiling.

"Ummmm, yea, servant? Yeah, right," Tia scoffed as laughter started to bubble out of her noise hole.

"Oh Reginald? Praying Mantis," Woona ordered. The raccoon saluted Woona and jumped at Tia, causing her to run back into the house.

"That....was.....AWESOME!" squeaked Luna, her face gleaming with pride. Woona ran back into the house and grabbed a banana from the fruit bowl. "Here, your spoils of war," replied Woona chuckling as she handed the banana to Reginald, the purple aura fading from the curved fruit. Reginald nodded and ran off into the darkness as Woona locked up the house and went back to sleep.

"Hey, Luna, remember that raccoon you fought?" asked Celestia as she was raising the sun.

"Yes, what about him?" replied Luna as she was lowering the moon.

"What ever happened to him," Celestia inquired.

"You know the pony yellow pages?" said Luna.

"Yessss?"

"You know how no matter what they always magically appear on your doorstep, no questions asked?" said Luna.

"You don't mean-"

"Ninjas! Thousands of little ninjas, Celestia. So the next time you prank me, watch your back," Luna smiled as she finished her royal duty of lowering the moon.

Luna and Celestia were enjoying lunch together one fine day, talking about what royal duties each one was supposed to attend. They were enjoying a nice salad at Cafe de Leu, a fancy French cafe notoriously known for its salads and sandwiches. Luna proposed that they split the events they have to attend, thus minimizing favoritism and making easier to track which ones thy had to go to. Both Princess Luna and Celestia nodded in agreement as Celestia came up with a proposal.

"Dearest sister, would you like to wager on something?" asked Celestia as she sipped her tea.

"What are you up to?" asked Luna with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, let's do a game we haven't played in a while. Let's play tag," Celestia suggested.

"Tag?" Luna replied. "The last time we played that we were foals, Celestia."

"And yet you never won. Hmmm, pity," Celestia said with a smirk on her face.

"The wager?" inquired Luna.

Sucker thought Celestia. "Whoever loses has to dye their mane the color of the winning counterpart."

"So if I win, your mane is purple, and if you win-"

"Your mane is my color," stated Celestia as she calmly took another sip of her tea.

"Deal," replied Luna as her horn glowed purple.

"Whoever is it when I raise the sun tomorrow shall be victorious," Celestia added, her horn glowing yellow.

Their two horns touched, signaling the beginning of the challenge.

When Woona and Tia used to play tag, Tia would always win. Woona always had a hard time of catching up to her sister, whether physically or magically. Woona was always one hoof out of reach of tagging her sister, deeming her to be it.
One day, Woona decided that she would be better at the game, thus enhancing her chances of success.

When both sisters decided to play tag, Tia was "it" first, since she always won. Tia counted to thirty as Woona ran around the house, trying to find a good place for hiding. She found one upstairs in their parent's bedroom, a place where Tia would never look. It also had a quick escape to the basement, a single clothes shoot extending from the wall. Woona ran upstairs to their parents room and camped underneath the bed, keeping a firm eye on the hallway and on the clothes shoot. It was her luck today as the shoot still remained open.

Woona heard Tia running around downstairs trying to find her. Woona knew this wasn't hide and seek, but with hide and seek tied into the game of tag, she knew her chances of winning were staggering. Tia continued to search downstairs as Woona wiggled her legs so they wouldn't fall asleep. Woona could hear little blurbs of groans of frustration from downstairs. Woona giggled at the delight of torment that her sister was going through.

"Woooonnaaa!!! This isn't hide and seek! It's tag! Come out, now, and I'll go easy on you. If you don't, then I'll start being serious," threatened Tia, her voice echoing off the walls.

Woona merely laughed a this and scoffed, knowing that this was a ploy for her to come out. Woona rooted herself underneath the bed as she saw Tia walk upstairs. Tia went into their room and disappeared from sight.

"Heeeerre's Tia," Tia yelled from their room. Woona giggled at how much of a fool Tia was making of herself. "Woona! Where are you! I will find you, dear sister! The sun shall reveal all, even the darkest corners of the moon!" Tia bellowed from the pit of her stomach.

"Yeah, that line's not getting old," Woona replied, rolling her eyes.

"Ohhhh, you're in our parent's room, aren't ya? Woona, if you don't leave, I'll tell mom and daaaadd!" Tia announced as she sing-songed the last few words.

She just wants to know where you're hiding, so don't say anything Woona thought to herself.

"When they come home, I'll tell them about how you messed up their room and trampled over everything! I'll tell them that you didn't listen to your big sister," Tia announced as Woona's face tightened in anger and frustration. "I bet they'll give you no dessert. I...bet....they'll.....give...me....all...of...your....MOON PIES!"

"NOT MY MOON PIES!" Woona yelled out as she hit her head on the bed frame. "Owie," she muttered.

"GOTCHA!" Tia yelled as she charged towards Woona's location.

Woona crawled out underneath the bed and jumped on top as Tia stared at her from the hallway.

"Looks like you're gonna be it," Tia said grinning widely.

"And it looks like you're going to lose, Tia. Come and get me, Sun butt!" Woona said as she wiggled her small flank back and forth.

Tia's face grew a light shade of red as she turned her head away. "Woona, you know how I feel when you do that," scolded Tia.

"Then, this victory is mine!" Woona cheered as she jumped off the bed and aimed her body towards the clothes shoot.

"Woona, no, you'll get hurt!" shouted Tia as a loud squeal of terror echoed throughout the chute.

"Woona, my dear sister! Are you all right?" Tia shouted through the chute.

"Yeah, I'm fine. This pile of blankets and comforters cushioned my fall. But I'm still gonna win!" yelled Woona from the basement up through the chute.

Tia merely groaned and shrugged her shoulders as she went back downstairs and sat in the family room. She turned on the television and began to watch a debate between the pegasi and the earth ponies about what time of the year would be perfect to bring snow in for the winter. Tia continued to watch the debate as she heard a jiggle of the handle near the basement stairs. Tia calmly walked over and used her magic to counteract the turning of the handle. This was now a fight to the finish, where each sister was using their own magical abilities to either open or close the door.

Tia was using her magic to keep the door closed, but decided to have some fun with the process in the meantime. She knew Woona couldn't use magic for long, so she decided to toy with her sister instead. This was by far Tia's favorite game to play.

"And in the red corner, the Goddess of the Sun, you're favorite ruler of Equestria, Tia!!! And in the blue corner, the ruler of the night, the only pony to fill you with fright, Woona! The crowd boos Woona and praises Tia for all of her hard work!" boasted Tia.

"Nuh, uh! The crowd says you're a stink head and that Woona is the cutest!" retorted Woona.

"Well the crowd....ghhhh...thinks that you smell..ggghhh... and that I am the most intelligent," Tia boasted again, her magic straining on keeping the door closed.

"Well...nngghh...the crowd....and...the chicken...." Woona sputtered, the door handle slowly ceasing to move.

Tia knew she had won yet another moral victory, this time in the form of magical talent. Tia smiled as the second victory was close at hoof. Tia flung the door open, surprising Woona in the process. Tia simply poked Woona on the nose with her front hoof saying, "Tag, you're it," then immediately slammed the door on her younger sister. Woona banged on the door and tried to open it, but to no avail. Woona had exhausted all of her magic, while Tia just held the door closed with her magic, chuckling the entire time while doing so.

After a couple of hours had passed, there was no sound coming from the door. Tia opened it and saw her younger sister, Woona, fast asleep on the basement steps. Tia smiled sweetly and used her levitation magic to carefully pick Woona up without waking her. She carried Woona back to her crescent shaped bed and tactfully tucked in her in. Woona sighed deeply inside of her bed as Tia gave her younger sister a peck on the cheek.

"Well, since you're asleep," Tia chuckled while she dug through her drawers. Tia found a black sharpie and giggled as she wrote Tia is #1 on Woona's right flank.

In the present day, Princess Luna was thinking of this past event in her head, wondering how she couldn't open the door with her magic. Princess Celestia was next to her sister in the drying chair as she was reading Ponyville Homes: Vinyl Scratch edition. Both sisters were in the spa, getting their mane and nails done.

"Eldest sister," Luna said, "How did you manage to win that one game of tag when I was using the hide and seek method? I mean, you did poke me, so technically you won, but what did you write on my flank? Dad thought it was funny, while mom just frowned and washed it off for me."

"Oh, that? Well, I just waited for you to get tired," Celestia responded while still reading the magazine. "After you fell asleep, I carried you up to your room and claimed my victory. As far as what I wrote, it was the truth."

Luna merely sighed at this statement as her dryer stopped, deciding it wasn't worth the effort to question her sister any further. Luna removed the dryer from her head and stood up, her mane flowing freely and majestically. Luna scowled as Celestia stared at her and gave her a big smile.

"That celestial mane looks lovely on you, sister," Celestia said as she giggled softly.

The other spa ponies also chuckled, knowing full well that Celestia had won the bet.

"Remember, Luna, today you have to visit Ponyville and address the townsfolk of the upcoming party," Celestia stated loudly. "And please, do sound sincere about the party, even though you disappear as soon as it starts."

"Yes, dear sister, I shall do my best. Please enjoy yourself, Celestia, as I shall now take my leave," Luna said, her colorful celestial mane bouncing along as she walked away.

Santa Claws?

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

With the clock ringing a quarter past eight,

The ponies were all sleeping in their somber state.

But two were still up,

Pondering how they would stay awake.

It was Woona and Tia,

There was no mistake.

Both sisters thinking on the task at hoof,

At how this creature could just appear and then go poof!

They were deeply troubled by this state of mind,

Their hearts racing with the tick of the time.

The sisters locked eyes and nodded their heads,

Today would be the day that this mystery WILL END!

They tiptoed silently down the stairs,

And into the living room with folding lawn chairs.

The room was aglow with lights and joy,

The presents tucked below the tree, each one containing a toy.

The stockings were hung on the far wall,

With tender loving care so they would not fall.

They set up their chairs and waited for Claus,

Luna scanning for big fluffy paws.

Their parents had told them the name,

But Celestia figured this was a game.

"Why would he appear only one night?

And then suddenly disappear out of sight?

I tell you Luna, this does not make sense,

Do our parents think we are this dense?"

"Now dear sister, don't think I'm wrong,

But maybe mother and father were right all along?

Maybe Claus is like a spirit of the night,

Delivering presents to all the good ponies along his flight."

"Or maybe he's a bear,

Hypnotizing children with his malicious stare.

His name is CLAWS after all,

Such a name, makes me think he's not a pony at all."

Woona merely cocked her head and stared at her sister,

Baffled by the logic since Claus's first name was Mister.

Celestia stared straight ahead,

Before turning to see steam blowing out of her sister's head.

"Are you kidding me? He's a pony, not a bear,

I think your head is filled with hot air."

"Well maybe you're wrong and I'm just right,

After all, you can't even stay up in the middle of the night!"

"Oh, yeah? Well I'll just show you!

I'll capture him myself and we'll see what is true!"

The sisters stared at each other, anger in their eyes,

For each one wanted to claim their own prize.

Time dragged on as if standing still,

The cold sinking into them, winter's embracing chill.

Just when they were about to fall asleep,

They heard the shuffling of feet, breaking their counting of endless sheep.

Not below or outside the door,

But above them, is this what they have been waiting for?

"It sounded like it came from the roof,

But be not mistaken, something is aloof,"

Celestia boldly stated, standing her ground,

Her eyes darting around.

Footsteps came from the stairs,

Heavy sounds as if made by a pack of bears.

This thought crossed Woona's mind,

Her body feeling as if entrapped in a bind.

The final step this pony did take,

A jolly big belly surrounded by white frilly lace.

The sisters' eyes went wide in surprise,

To see that their parents told them no lies.

This big red pony holding a large burlap sack,

The weight of it being supported by his muscular back.

A big red cap with a white ball donned at its peak,

And even his black boots made an audible squeak.

They couldn't believe that he could exist,

This was a most unforeseen twist,

As Celestia's face tuned a bright red,

The Santa Claus politely asked them to go to bed.

The sisters did as they told, picking up the chairs and putting them away,

Saddened that they could not stay awake the whole day.

But before they went up to go to sleep,

The jolly Claus gave them both a sweet treat.

He gave Celestia a nice soft teddy bear,

And Luna could do nothing but stare.

He gave Luna a card that read,

"Tomorrow you must use your skills to slay the undead."

The two sisters went up to their room,

Tucked themselves in and fell asleep soon.

Santa Claus quietly went into their parent's room,

So as to remove all the clothing very soon.

It turns out their father was the red pony,

In order to prove that Claus was no phony.

He felt proud to accomplish this feat,

After all, one's father cannot simply be beat.

And so this story has reached its end,

I hope to see all of my readers again.

"Perfection! Victory!" blared through the television, its surround sound booming through Princess Luna's wireless headset. She took a long drink of her energy drink as a small satisfactory smile appeared on her muzzle.

"You freakin' tryhard! Noob!" the voice yelled through the ear piece.

"Awww, are we mad? Did the baby get put down for a nap?" Luna cooed back.

"Let's go round 2! I'll definitely win!"

"Oh, sorry, but I don't have time for people with such low skill. Goodbye."

"Oh, you cocky little-"

The voice was abruptly cut off as Luna searched for her next opponent. She had only lost to two players in her life. While she only lost one round to an up-and-coming gamer, the other pony in question she feared the most. Luna drank more of her drink as the game announced her new opponent.

"A new challenger appears! Select your character!" it announced.

"Well, looks like another "W" for Luna," she chuckled to herself.

As Luna was selecting her character, she glanced over at her opponent's name. The gamer-tag read Numbah_1. Her jaw immediately fell open as the opponent locked in their character.

"Noel Vermillion!" the game shouted.

Luna gulped loudly as she pondered what to do. The time for character selection was running low as furious thoughts crossed the Alicorn's mind. She couldn't decide whether to try her luck and somehow scramble a win or simply let the timer run out. There were only 30 seconds on the timer as she closed her eyes and thought back on her last loss to this insane player.

Woona had just left the kitchen with a gleeful smile on her face. With a slight hum, she casually strolled up the stairs and back into her bedroom. She set down two bottles of grape juice and a box of Snack 'Em Cheesies. She turned on her Canterlot 64 and inserted the Equestrian Kart cartridge into the gaming device. With levitation magic, she held the controller in her hoof while she turning on the television. She waited patiently with a bubbling mood as the screen was blank. Woona sighed in frustration as she turned off the console.

"Again?" she groaned, her face wrought with frustration.

She lifted herself off of the floor and walked over to the console. She shut the console off and glared angrily at it. With another grunt, she removed the cartridge and held the console sideways. With large gasps of air, she forcefully blew into the console repeatedly. After a couple of minutes, she began to feel woozy and softly fell on the floor, the small fibers of the carpet tickling her muzzle. She shook her head and inserted the game back into the console. She turned the console back on a large gold 64 emblem began to spin around and around on the screen. The game announced, "Welcome to Equestrian Kart-a" as Woona readied herself for the onslaught that was about to occur. Her eyes narrowed as she could feel the anticipation welling up inside her. This feeling lasted briefly as Tia walked into the room.

"Ummm, Woona, what are you doing?" she pondered as she observed one of Woona's juice bottles.

"If you must, know, I'm playing a game," Woona replied.

"What kind of game?"

"Racing."

"Is it fun?"

"Yes."

"Are you good at it?"

"YES! Sweet Mother of us, no more questions!" Woona shouted.

"Giirrrlllls, are you both playing nice?" a voice roared from downstairs.

"Yes, Mother, we are!" they both responded.

"Keep your voice down, Woona. We don't want Mother to get angry at us," Tia meekly replied.

"Fine, Tia. Whatever. I know what you're going to ask, so yes, you can play. On one condition," Woona demanded.

"Yes?"

"It's best out of 3. Loser does the dishes tonight."

"It's a deal." The sister's horns glowed brightly as they touched one another, signifying the pact had been made.

Upon the character selection screen, Tia chose the princess of the light weight class. Knowing she won't be outplayed, Woona chose a dark unicorn of the light weight class as well. After character selection, Woona chose the first map. She chose Sunrise Surprise, a map that was a complete 8-track circuit with the final turn being the most difficult. The final turn was the same as the others, but occasionally the sun on the map would light up a player's screen so brightly, they would lose sight of the road. Woona grinned while she chugged one of the juice bottles next to her.

Woona timed the traffic light perfectly and immediately earned herself a boost. Woona shot to first as Tia just calmly held the "A" button as she stared at the screen. Woona hit question mark box and picked up her first item, a lonely banana. She threw the banana on the track as she rounded the second turn. Tia was in fifth place as she hit the box. The item inside was a red shell, which she promptly used. Looking at the mini-map around the edges of the screen, Tia just finished rounding corner 2, while Woona hit a straightaway. For the next two laps, not much happened. A couple of place changes and the occasional blue shell were used, but the third lap would be interesting.

Tia was in third place, while Woona was still in the lead. They were nearing turns 3 and 4, the final stretch coming into view. Woona's expression changed to one of concern rapidly upon hitting the last question mark box. She had picked up a solo mushroom, a one time only boost. She glanced over at her sister's screen and saw that Tia had picked up a three red shells. Tia merely hummed to herself when disaster struck.

The sun immediately blinded both sisters upon entering turn 4. Tia launched all three of her red shells in a blaze of fury and desperation. Tia's on-screen character laughed, signifying the first shell had hit the A.I. in second place. Woona still couldn't see when the second laugh erupted, signifying the second shell had hit the same A.I. again. The sun cleared from Woona's screen revealing about a 500 feet of track ahead. Woona's eyes glimmered with joy at winning the race.

"Maybe I have a chance. I can still win!" Woona thought to herself.

Woona's face started to inch every slow slowly towards the screen. However, a sudden realization fell on top of her like a ton of bricks. The third laugh didn't go off..which means there's STILL ONE SHELL LEFT! Woona darted her eyes to the mini-map, revealing that Tia was in second place. Then, the most horrifying sound of the final turn entered Woona's ears. She could hear the slight whoosh of the shell. She was so close to the finish line, before KAPOW appeared on the screen and her character shouted out on pain. Woona was 100 feet from the line, the first place finish eluding her grasp. Tia's character was rounding the turn and a bout to pass Woona and claim victory.

Woona frantically wished for her cart to stop its animations and remain upright. Just as the cart landed on all four wheels, Tia passed her sister...but not for long. With a hard press of the "Z" button, Woona rocketed past Tia and squeaked out a 1st place finish. Woona jumped for joy at this miraculous win. Tia merely smiled at her sister and nodded her head in acknowledgement of her defeat.

"Seems I shall be serious now, dear sister. You see, I merely wanted to see your skill level. Since you are more than capable of handling yourself, I shall now show...NO MERCY!" she said with a deep boom in her voice.

Tia's small wings extended outward and flapped in a swift and fierce manner. A look of concentration and seriousness spread across Tia's face. Her eyes narrowed and her nostrils flared, signaling the beginning of the next track.

The tree-light came on the screen. Woona saw what map she was on: Rainbow Road. Woona winced at this sight, knowing full well this was her worst map. It wasn't the length the map, oh no. It was those Diamond Dog chompers moving back and forth across the road. Woona tried her best, but ended up in 4th place, whereas Tia finished first. Now, it was do or die time. The final map would be chosen at random. The random button was selected and the map chosen: Everfree Forest (Night Time, Reversed).

Both sisters were shocked to know the game had given them the hardest map. It was difficult the forward way, but on reverse it was almost impossible. Vines, overgrown trees, and hydras were but few of the obstacles in their path.

The tree-light appeared and both sisters timed it perfectly. Both with full boosts, they rocketed ahead of the A.I. counterparts. Woona and Tia changed positions back and forth through the first lap, each one unwilling to budge an inch. Tia was fortunate enough to get a star as Woona merely got a green shell. Tia was now a quarter-length ahead of Woona as they ventured into the final lap. Tia chuckled as she was nearing a jump over a water pit. Woona grunted as she heard a siren sound from behind her. With a sharp turn to the right, she barely dodged a blue shell. Knowing what was going to happen, Tia tired to reach the end of the boost that would propel her over the jump. However, the shell hit Tia in mid-air causing her cart to slowly wobble end-over-end and fall into the water below. A cross eyed pegasus fished her out of the water and set her back on the track before the jump. Tia grunted angrily as she went from 1st to 7th place.

Woona chuckled knowing she had 3 long, twist turns to go. She hit the second to last box and got a boost. Knowing it was worthless, she immediately used it and rocketed farther down the track. Tia picked up a star upon landing and triggered it, trying to gain up lost ground. She managed to pick up the pace as she went from 7th to 4th place thanks to a long straightaway and the quick shortcut through the fake quicksand. Upon exiting the shortcut, Tia hit the second to last box. It was a lightning bolt. Tia's wings flapped fiercely once again as she used her lightning.

With the lightning sound effect, all the characters except for Tia had shrunken greatly in size. Tia's cart ran over the second place character. A devious laugh emerged from Tia's throat as her eyes went wide, the pupils dilating in the process. Woona glanced over and started to become weary at the ferocity within her sister. She had never seen Tia this serious before and was concerned whether she could win or not. The lightning faded away revealing that Tia was mere seconds behind her. Woona drifted her way around the last turn and picked up her final item: a solo red shell. Woona smirked with glee knowing that the race was in the bag.

Tia picked up her final item and started to laugh maniacally. She had picked up the ghost perk, a perk that would steal the closest person's item for them-self. In addition, it would temporarily make the person invisible.

"No no no no nononononono," said Woona. It was too late as Tia stole her item.

"And with the final push," Tia said, her hoof pressing the "Z" button.

The red shell launched out and hit Woona directly in the back. Woona's cart went flying forwards end over end as Tia drove past her and crossed the finish line. Woona regained control and crossed the line in second place. Woona had lost the best 2 out of 3 match. Woona hung her head low and just stared blankly at the floor.

"Don't feel bad, dear sister. After all, it is in our blood to rule and conquer. I shall be the only person to defeat you. If you let any pony else win against you, I shall make a hasty visit," Tia announced. Tia walked out of the room and down the stairs. Woona swore she would one day beat her dear sister and claim her vengeance.

The clock timer was at 10 seconds as Luna waited for the timer to run out, sending her back to the main lobby. Luna just stared at the screen and calmly removed her gaming headset. She set down the controller and stretched her aching limbs.

"Not today, Celestia, not today." Luna proceeded to head towards the bathroom.

Meanwhile in Celestia's chambers, Celestia grew restless.

"Awwww, just when I finally get to play a match against you, Luna. Oh well, let's see." Celestia scrolled through her friends list and invited Princess_Sparkle to the game. "Princess Sparkle? Oh, yeah, c'mon Twilight, let me get another perfect on you," Celestia chuckled as the game loaded.

Happy Halloween!

"Now listen Luna very carefully. This will be your first trick or treat experience ok? It's simple. You knock on the neighbor's door, say 'Trick or Treat!' and receive your candy. Your older sister will be watching over you. We have to attend a conference on the future of our nation. Have a good night you two and don't fill up on candy the entire night either, you'll get a tummy ache. Oh and Celestia, keep an eye on her! Got that?" Celestia's father asked sternly.

"Yeah Dad, I got it. No worries," Celestia replied.

"I'm serious. KEEP AN EYE ON HER," he announced boldly one more time before embarking out the door.

Celestia let out a hearty sigh before regaining her composure. "Alright, squirt listen up. Mom and Dad have me in charge in keeping an eye on you. I just want some candy and to get back home so I can watch the horror movies on the television. So stay by me at all times, got it?"

"Y-Yeah, I got it," Luna said meekly.

"Good now go put on your costume or whatever you made."

Celestia donned a makeshift tiara and wore her mother's best high heel shoes. She completed the eyeliner, eye-shadow, and other assortment of makeup on her face, thus finally revealing her outfit: a princess. She looked dazzling in a white gown with hemmed laces and flower swirls etched into the bottom folds. As she was admiring herself in the bathroom mirror, she heard tiny hoofsteps down the stairs. She peeked out of the bathroom and observed at her younger sister's outfit.

Luna was dressed in black clothing with white spines on the backside of it. Her black eyeliner was poorly drawn and the eye-shadow was unevenly placed on her face. She looked like a poor man's skeleton, a thought that ran inside Celestia's head.

"Are you a skeleton?"

"Yep!" smiled Luna.

"Oh boy, I'm really scared," laughed Celestia.

"Oh c'mon!"

"No, really, you are 2Spooky4Me," she replied spelling the phrase in black holographic letters around Luna's face. The letters dissipated revealing a very disgruntled Luna. "Oh what's wrong spooooky skeleton?" she asked patronizingly.

"I bet you I have more candy than you by the end of the night!"

"Really another bet? Aren't you bored of this charade?"

"What's a charade?"

"Nevermind, don't you grow bored of making bets?"

"Last I checked, it was 47-47. A perfect tie between us in bets. Care to wager?"

"And it is?"

"Half of the other pony's stockpile," Luna grinned.

"You're on pipsqueak. And by the way, I'm gonna win."

"Try me, sister."

The two royal sisters started on their quest to obtain as much candy as possible. Armed with two pillowcases each, the sisters were determined to win this gutsy bet. It started even between both of them until Celestia decided to use her agility to hit the houses faster and harder. With poor Luna trying to catch up to her sister, she was eventually left behind in the dust. With four blocks under her belt, she felt confident she would win this bet. After about an hour, Celestia's hooves were in pain from wearing the high heels.

"Curse these shoes! If I didn't have them on, I could easily beat her by double the amount. Oh well," she chuckled. She casually ate a chocolate bar from her stash, sighing in the caramel gooeyness hidden within. She relished in the chocolate delight as a siren went off in her head. She glanced frantically beside herself in hopes that her sister had caught up to her. Realizing she was nowhere to be seen, she quickly started to panic as to what awaited her back home when her father found out that she had left Luna alone. Running back the way she came, children of various ages were running past her screaming.

What in all of Canterlot is going on? she thought to herself.

With thoughts of her sister being scared to death, shivers of fear ran down her spine. Hoping her sister is safe, she continued to run past screaming children before reaching the source of the screams. At the end of the block underneath a streetlight stood a lone pony. A dark black aura surrounded it, three full bags of candy being hoisted into the air. A dark cackling erupted from its throat, the echoing vibrations causing Celestia's knees to buckle. She tried to work up the courage to approach the pony before it disappeared into the darkness again. Shaking idle thoughts out of her skull, Celestia took after the culprit, determined to stop the thief and bring him or her to justice. Running past the streetlight, Celestia found herself on a long road next to a park. Glancing over she saw three adolescent stallions surrounding the lone pony.

Ohohoho, they're in for it now she thought to herself. I'm going to enjoy this.

"Hey you have a big loot there, girly. Care to donate some to us?" asked the tallest stallion.

"Unless you have offerings for me, get out of my way," she hissed.

"Oh, I see, this girly thinks she's tough huh? Well let's see if you're tough after this!" he yelled, his right foreleg cocking back.

"Hitting me? Ahahahaha, that's like boxing with shadows! Now, my mortal foooool, PREPARE FOR YOUR DEMISE!!" she roared, her entire form changing shape.

With two more heads emerging from her own, she transformed into a three headed beast. Bright red eyes stared into the souls of the stallions before her. With her right head shaking violently, it melted and fell to the floor, a bare skull remaining in its place. The left head split into two, a half of each face still twitching and snaring at the dumbfounded teenagers. With a jump, she pinned the ringleader to the ground.

"Triiiiiccccck ooooooor Treeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaat, Giiiiiiiivvvvvvve Mmmmmmme Sommmmmetttthiinnnng Goooooooood Ttttttto EAT!" she yelled, the left head falling off her shoulder and onto the stallion's stomach. With a shrill yell, he galloped away in a hurry, the other stallions quickly following suit. "Happy Nightmare Night Fools!" she laughed, a devilish roar escaping from the depths of hell itself. The other heads faded away into darkness, her grotesque form disappearing into the chilly autumn air.

Celestia approached this mare from behind, being ever careful not to disturb her. Her horn started to glow with a radiance aura, a spell ready to imprison this monster. As she got closer though, she saw a moon crescent mark on the mare's flank.

"L-Luna?"

"WHO DARES APPROACH THINE OWN REAR?!"

"Luna, dear sister, what happened?"

The dark black haze swirling around Luna dispersed immediately, revealing a small purple Alicorn giggling to herself.

"Hee hee, I told ya I could beat you!" squeaked Luna. "I was so upset that all these other kids were knocking me out of the way to the doors that I eventually spilled some of my candy. So, I guess I got upset. And, I dunno, I felt this intense energy bubble up inside me. I've never felt this before sister, it's pretty exciting, but.....I'm also scared by what I saw."

"What did you see?" asked Celestia, kneeling beside her sister.

"I saw...darkness and an intense figure standing before me. I don' know who it was."

Celestia, deeply disturbed, decided to end the night and go home early. The two of them trotted home, Luna carrying a large amount of spoils from her scare tactics. Upon reaching home, they took off their outfits, plopped themselves on the family sofa, and began to indulge on sweet, cavity inducing sugar. Their parents came home a few hours later, the front door unlocking.

"Hiya....hiya errrrbody!" slurred their father.

"I awesome Dad had a fun time?" asked Celestia.

"Yes, maybe a bit too much fun," their mother answered, scorn in her voice.

"Oh, c'mon it was a party! And hic and hic it was a greaaaaat party! I mean you know who won the drinking contest?"

"You, dear," said their mother with a roll of her eyes.

"And who won you that jade and emerald studded necklace?"

"You did, dear."

"And who spilled an entire contents worth of hard cider on their pants, making them feel so small in a room full of people?"

"You did."

"But at the end of it all, who decided to stick by my side, give me two wonderful children, and is still as lovely as the day I met her?"

"......"

"You dear, without you I'm nothing. Without you, I am just a lonely Alicorn, forever lost in the dark abyss."

"Honey....."

"Ummm, Dad, so while this is soooooooooo entertaining, ummmm," interrupted Celestia.

"Yes dear?"

"Luna changed into this like dark purple Alicorn with scary magic. She even shape shifted into something awful. Is she alright?"

Celestia's father erupted into a hearty laughter. "Wonderful!"

"Huh?"

"Your sister has awoken her other self. You see Celestia, the power of the light brings warmth and happiness to those around it. You are bathed in that light, that uplifting energy of love and compassion. Your sister is bathed in the light of the moon. She is blessed with the both the serenity and peacefulness of the night. However, she also encompasses the darkness and mystery contained within the shadows. The night is both calming and scary, the exact kind of power she needs to able to wield properly. Luna, my youngest daughter, you have finally awoken to your other power. But I will say this, so listen well. You must learn to harness this power correctly, or else it will......"

"Yes?" asked Luna.

"Bathroom....BAAAAAAAAAAAATHHHHHHHHROOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!" he shouted, his belly making sounds of its inner contents being swirled around.

He sprinted to the bathroom, slammed the door shut, and began his new friendship with Mr. Toilet.

"Or else it will?" asked Luna.

"We'll ask him when he feels better ok?" replied Celestia.

"Ok, no problem!" smiled Luna.

Saying goodnight to their parents, the two of them hauled their treasure upstairs and went into their rooms. Luna happily skipped into Celestia's room and demanded payment. When Celestia refused, Luna's black energy swirled around her. The dark energy swirled so fast, that it created a small barrier around her, shield her own body from view. With Celestia still dumbfounded, Luna told her to sister to be scared.

"Behold your future!" Luna shouted. Luna re-appeared as a 700 pound future Celestia, little driblets of cake faling off of her face and onto the various rolls of fat that now made up her body.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH TAKE IT! TAKE IT ALL! MY EYES! MY EYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!" shouted Celestia.

Luna's form shifted back into herself, the black magic hissing into the air. Luna hovered the candy with her magic and strutted to the edge of the door.

"Oh and sister? This is NIGHTMARE NIGHT! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" she laughed, various distorted voices joining in on the fun. But the voices didn't come from her but from the ceiling, the walls, and under Celestia's bed. Celestia stayed awake most of the night before succumbing to exhaustion. As she dreamed, she had a nightmare of herself continuing to engorge on cake while Luna donned silly hats upon her head, thus ruining her reputation. Celestia woke up screaming, while Luna in the next room was sleeping as soundly as a rock. In Luna's diary, there was an entry on October 31st: The tie is now broken. 48-47 me because I'm the best!
