Chapter 1

"How could I possibly get into this situation" Babs asked herself as she trudged through the Everfree forest.

She was walking through the Everfree with the other crusaders to go to a zebra named Zecora who lived within it. They hoped to get their cutie marks in potion making but she had gotten lost along the way. She didn't remember how she had lost her friends, one second they were in front of her and the next they were gone. To make matters worse the sun was beginning to set, Babs sighed she hopped she hadn't caused too much trouble for her cousin and her friends.

Babs heard a twig snap behind her "Apple Bloom?" she asked as she turned around. All she could see though were trees and bushes; she couldn't look at the trees for long because they seemed to morph into scary faces. Babs began to walk in the direction she thought was home hoping that her gut instincts were correct. After while Babs could hear a small growling sound she thought it was just her brain playing tricks on her but the sound only grew louder as she continued to deny its existence.

Then she heard something from behind her it sounded like it was the source of the growling and she could feel the breathing down her neck. She slowly turned around to come face to face with a Timberwolf. Its green eyes stared into hers one full of fear the other filled with malice and hunger. Eventually her brain kicked into gear and she began to run away from the towering figure. A howl rang out from behind her the wolf was luring his pack to her location.

Babs ran as fast as her little legs could carry her, so fast in fact that she hadn't notice when she ran into a field of blue flowers. The timber wolves stopped just in front of the flowers sniffing at it before recoiling in disgust before they gave up on the tan colored pony. After a while Babs stopped to catch her breath panting like a wild dog trying to get her straight back. Night had completely encompassed the Everfree forest making it seem darker and scarier than it was before. She noticed she couldn't see the wolves anymore and turned back to see if they were still following her. The tail of the wooden predator was seen slipping into the bushes across a wide meadow of blue flowers.

The sound of her stomach growling brought Babs attention to her stomach she hadn't eaten since this morning. Babs looked at the flowers hungrily "maybe they're edible" she said allowed as she approached the flower. "This flower does look delicious" Babs said to herself as her mouth began to water. The urge or suspicion that had once been within her was completely driven back by the hunger that replaced it. She took a tentative bite of the mysterious flower chewing slowly as to enjoy the taste. Oddly enough the flower tasted of blueberries and was really sweet. She immediately gobbled the rest of the flower greedily. With a loud gulp she had finished her meal and set about looking for a place to sleep. She settled into a fallen log near a river where she quenched her thirst before hitting the hay.

The next morning Babs woke up at the crack of dawn ready to start the new day. With the sunlight coming into the forest it would be much easier to find the path that led out of the Everfree. She yawned and stretched her body but as she was stretching something felt off. She opened her eyes and noticed that everything looked a bit bigger than before. She couldn't put her hoof on it.... " My hoof" Babs looked down at what used to be her hoof what was there now was a paw she had paws now and when she moved her ears it felt bigger than what it was before. She scurried over to the edge of the edge of the river and looked at her reflection. There staring back at her was a brown bunny with green eyes when she moved her paw it moved her paw when he shook her head it shook her head.

"I'm a bunny now?" she asked her reflection.

This was all too much to take in at once she remembered that she had gone to sleep as a pony but it still didn't explain how she could be a bunny now. “Maybe I'm still asleep Babs told herself “yea this is all just a dream and soon I'll wake up back in my bed in Sweet Apple Acres." Babs pinched herself in an attempt to wake up but she felt the pain and the pain was all too real to be asleep. She stared at her reflection once more “I’ve got to get out of here and find the others."

With her resolve set Babs took a drink of the river before following it. She hoped that the river would lead her back to Ponyville or at least the path itself. As Babs walked through the forest she noticed that things were more off then she realized. There were a couple of birds she passed by a while ago and it's not what the birds did that got to her it was what they said. Yes she actually heard them talk not only did that rile her up she also had the weirdest craving for carrots. To make matters worse a familiar wooded predator appeared, to avoid its detection she jumped straight into the branches of the tree in front of her.

The wolf sniffed around himself trying to familiarize itself with the smell of Babs, her scent was peculiar but completely out of the interest of the wolf. Eventually it left her without so much as a fuss and once Babs could get control of her breathing again she notice that she had jumped a couple feet into a tree. That's an astonishing feat considering ponies wouldn't normally do that. She reminded herself that she was a bunny now and that jumping was what they do best. Despite the numerous things that had happened to Babs she managed to reach the outskirts of the Everfree Forest tired, hungry but happy all at the same time. It was about high noon given where the sun was positioned and she was thankful that she had gotten out of the forest before night fall occurred.

While she was resting on the side of a tree Babs caught something in the corner of her eye. The green eyed bunny turned into that direction and saw a cottage not too far off. "If memory serves me right that's Fluttershy's cottage I think I heard Apple Bloom talk about her once." The little bunny jumped in excitement not everything had gone bad for her she may have a chance to become normal quicker than she thought. Babs scurried over to the cottage as quickly as she could as well as hopping over the fence that surrounded it.

She ran over to the front door of the cottage and knocked, although her paws didn't make the knocking sound she thought it would. Instead her fur acted like a buffer muffling the sound that normally came out when she knocked with her hooves. Babs quickly thought of the next best thing pawing at the door. This was also ineffective leading Babs ears to droop and her demeanor turning sour. She resided to wait in front of the door until somepony noticed her.

After waiting for about a couple hours Babs eyes began to droop and she began to fight off her tiredness. Eventually she succumbed to her body's needs and took a nap right when a yellow Pegasus landed in her own yard. Today was a designated spa day for the pink maned Pegasus so she had gone off to spend some time with Rarity. It was very relaxing and she was able to get a hooficure as well as her feathers preened. Although when Fluttershy noticed the bundle of brown on her doorstep she was curious as to what it was doing there.

Taking a closer look Fluttershy saw that it was a bunny and judging by the state it was in it must have had a rough day. She carefully picked her up and set her on her back before walking into her home.

“You poor thing you must of had a rough day" Fluttershy said in her soft voice carefully lowering the bunny onto her couch.

"Stay right there I'll be right back" she reassured the sleeping bunny.

Fluttershy walked into the kitchen and grabbed a couple of carrots before walking back out into her living room. A white bunny was now in close proximity to the brown one and he appeared angry.

'This is a nice bed' Babs thought in her sleep after all that happened to her she was glad to be somewhere that was safe or at least felt safe. Soon there was a small prodding on her stomach. It didn't have enough force to hurt her but it did have enough force to get her attention as she rose from her position and opened her eyes. She yawned and smacked her lips a couple times before looking at the white bunny beside her.

"Can I help you she asked him tiredly “I'm trying to sleep here"?

"You're in my spot he told her coldly "get off".

Babs was too tired to handle this right now.

"Look she said with a hint of anger in her voice. “I’m sorry I'm in your spot but I'm tired so please just this once let me sleep here."

At first the white bunny seemed to back off but contrary to her belief she was pushed onto the floor. To add insult to injury he began to laugh at her from his perch on the couch. He laughed so hard in fact that tears began to fall from his eyes.

"You think this is funny?" Babs said as she got up. “I’ll show you funny" with that said Babs jumped onto the unsuspecting bunny and began to attack. Angels face scrunched in surprise before he fought back leading them to fight in a ball of dust with only certain parts of their body appearing from out of it at a time.

Eventually Fluttershy broke it up and scolded the both of them "Now Angel I understand that that was your spot but that was no reason to push our guest onto the floor" Angel glared at Babs and she returned the glare with her tongue sticking out at him. " and... What was your name little one"

" Babs"

“Excuse me?”

Babs face pawed of course pony’s wouldn't understand her now that she was a species who couldn’t verbally communicate with them. She resorted to using gestures as well as saying her name slowly. The message came across for Fluttershy said " Babs was it?"

She nodded glad that she could finally get her name across to her.

"Babs I understand that Angel did something wrong but that’s no reason to start a fight with him.”

Now Angel was the one to stick his tongue out as Babs glared at him.

"Now if you two don't mind you should apologize to each other."

Babs not wanting to insult the pony that brought her inside said “I'm sorry Angel."

Angel sighed and said “I’m sorry too".

“There was that so hard?"

The glare that Babs and Angel were giving Fluttershy was strong enough to burn her to ashes.

“Now that that's out of the way here Babs have a carrot."

Babs grabbed the carrot in her paws and began to munch on it like it was the last piece of food in the world.

"Oh dear you must of been really hungry" Fluttershy said as she grabbed two more carrots and hoofed them over to her.

She ate them just as fast as the first one enjoying the taste and satisfaction it gave her. When she was done with her meal she felt her hunger disappear as well as completely filled with energy. Without much thinking she ran up to Fluttershy's hoof and hugged it.

"Thank you Fluttershy."

"Oh you're welcome it was no problem at all."

The two stayed like that for a while, Babs enjoying the first hug she had in a while and Fluttershy enjoying the satisfaction of helping another helpless animal. Over in the background Angel was sitting on his favorite spot on the couch gagging at the scene that was playing in front of him.

Chapter 2

When Bab’s relinquished the hug she looked around for a spot that would be comfortable to sleep. As she looked around she noticed that Angel was watching her every move from his position on the couch.

Eventually she had enough of him watching her, so she decided it was best to sleep outside. She walked to the door and tried to get it open. She hopped as high as she could to try and turn the doorknob but fell short every time. She couldn’t understand why. In the Everfree forest she was able to jump from the ground to the tree as if it was no problem at all.

Realizing that she could get nowhere by thinking any more negative thoughts on the matter she tried to jump to it again. This time however she managed to fall directly on her rump. It didn’t hurt much because her fur managed to cushion the fall but it was definitely an embarrassing moment for the green eyed bunny.

The sound of Laughter emanated from the white bunny sitting on the couch. Bab’s turned back to him and glared at him but it didn’t do much to lessen the bunny’s cries of joy. In fact it seemed to make him laugh even harder.

Angel laughed until his sides began to hurt and even rolled over the couch and fell to the floor. The white bunny knew that it wasn’t that funny but he was trying to get under her fur and it seemed to be working.
Fluttershy who had been taking care of some of the other animals heard a scratching sound coming from the doorway, when she saw it was Bab’s she questioned if she wanted to go outside with which she nodded in reply.

Glad to be out of the watchful gaze of Angel she looked around at the environment around her. There were other animals running around playing and just all around enjoying their daily lives. She didn’t heed them at all as she took a breath of the fresh air. Bab’s always enjoyed how different the air was in Ponyville. Manehatten air was always difficult to breathe at times because how far it had industrialized itself.

The sun was still relatively high in the horizon causing Bab’s to find a nearby tree to acquire shade from. Once finding a comfortable spot she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Once Fluttershy had finished feeding the birds she heard a knock on her cottage door.

“Who could that be?” She said quietly to herself as she made her way towards the door.

Opening it revealed to be Twilight, one of Fluttershy’s best friends.

“Hi Twilight what brings you to my home?”

“Hi Fluttershy, I just came by for one of Owlicious Weekly checkups.”

“Sure, I just finished taking care of the other animals one more shouldn’t hurt.”

With a smile on both their faces Twilight entered the cottage with Owlicious perched on her back. The Owl turned his head to look at the other animals and waved hello to most of them. Over the last couple weeks during his checkups and nightly excursions he had gotten to know them better. The critters waved back at him and continued with their conversations.

While Fluttershy took a look at him he decided to eavesdrop as best he could on the animals conversations. At this time of day gossip flowed freely from many of them and at times it was a good way to find out information.

“Can you believe what Angel did to that bunny earlier…?”

“Elizabeak has been looking a little plump lately…”

“Barry’s been seen stealing food from Fluttershy’s shed…”

“That orange colored bunny outside looks different than most of the bunny’s I’ve seen…”

Before he knew it the buttercream pegasus had completed her assessment of him.

“All done Owlicious is completely healthy Twilight.”

“Thanks Fluttershy, we better get going though, I’ve got a lot of things scheduled for today.”

Fluttershy led them to the door and saw them out. Before Twilight could reach the front fence of the cottage she noticed Owlicious looking at something. Looking in the direction he was looking in she noticed a small orange bunny resting within the shade of a tree.

“Who”? Owlicious said as he pointed toward the bunny.

“I don’t know, let’s get a closer look” Twilight said as she trotted closer to the bunny.

Not wanting to wake up the bunny from her slumber she inspected her with her eyes. Twilight took notice of how different she looked to the rest of the bunny’s frolicking around.

“Perhaps this is a new species of bunny’s what do you think Owlicious?”

“Hoot.”

“I thought so let’s ask Fluttershy about it”

As they made their way towards Fluttershy’s cottage again, Bab’s woke up from her small nap. For a moment she just sat their enjoying the shade but after a minute or so she began to get up. After quickly stretching her limbs she took a look at her surroundings.

It didn’t take long for her to spot the purple pony talking to Fluttershy in the door way. Taking a look at her cutiemark confirmed to her that the purple pony was Twilight. Babs heard about Twilight from the Crusaders and Applejack while she was staying over at the barn. She was depicted as a smart pony with purple fur and a star cutiemark.

‘Maybe Twilight can help me turn back to normal’ Bab’s thought inwardly.

With this in mind she began to move towards Twilight. She was a bit hesitant at first but her stride increased as hope began to surge within her. She stopped though when she saw the animal on Twilight’s back. It was an Owl and it looked at her inquisitively. They both stared at each other for what felt like months but in actuality was only about a minute before Fluttershy broke Bab’s out of her reverie.

“Bab’s would you like to spend the day at Twilights?”

It took a moment for the question to fully sink into her head before she nodded.

‘Although the owl is a bit strange that won’t stop me from trying to turn myself back to normal’ she thought.

Twilight levitated her onto her back and began to head home.

“Spike I’m home.”

Twilight bellowed out as she entered the library she called home. Spike her number one assistant was putting some books on the upper most shelves before Twilight had entered the library. After climbing down the steps of the ladder he put the rest of the books down on the table to reshelf later.

“Hey Twilight, Owlicious how was…” Spike was momentarily distracted as he saw the orange bunny on Twilight’s back.

“So who’s your friend?” Spike asked as he motioned to the bunny.

“Who?”

“Her” Spike said pointing at Bab’s causing another “who” from Owlicious.

He decided to stop asking him quickly afterward. The green and purple dragon had been down this road before and it always ended with him making a fool of himself.

Twilight chuckled at the scene before her she knew Spike couldn’t understand Owlicious most of the time but it was always funny to see how they reacted to each other.

“Spike this is Bab’s she’s a bunny that Fluttershy found this morning on her doorstep, Fluttershy thought it would be a good idea for Bab’s to experience a new environment so I volunteered to take care of her for the day.”

Twilight turned to the green eyed bunny and said “Bab’s if you need anything talk to Spike he’ll try to help you as best he can.”

Bab’s nodded, she was nervous to be in the library. Her crusading hadn’t led her or the other crusaders to the library, and she wished at least one of them had though because now she had no idea how she was going to convey to Twilight her predicament.

Before her train of thought could continue a voice stopped her “you’re not really a bunny are you?”

The question stopped her in her tracks for a variety of reasons, one the voice couldn’t be Spikes or Twilights and second it knew she wasn’t a bunny. She looked around and Twilight and Spike were nowhere to be seen having moved out of the room to go handle something upstairs the only other occupant in the room was Owlicious.

She scratched her head in confusion and looked at the owl “Did you… just talk to me?”

Owlicious just stared at her unblinkingly and when Bab’s turned away he said “of course I did.”

She quickly turned her head back around her face a mixture of shock and confusion.

“I thought you could only say who?”

Owlicious rolled his before replying.

“I only say who to test out an animals will and annoyance levels, clearly Spike has some work to do in improving that.”

“Let’s go back for a minute how did you know that I wasn’t a bunny?”

“It was pretty obvious your scent gave you away”

Bab’s took a whiff of herself and almost gagged.

“It isn’t my fault that I haven’t showered since coming out of the Everfree.”

“No my dear I don’t meant that…” there was a slight pause “I didn’t mean to say that you smell bad I just meant that you don’t smell like a bunny, if I had to place your scent with another animal I would say you smell like that of a pony.”

“Was that the only thing that gave me away?”

“No, to make sure I observed your actions, back at Fluttershy’s Cottage when you approached Twilight you stopped to look at me.”

“So what I just wanted to get a look at you what does that prove.”

“You didn’t shiver in fear like most bunnies do when they first see me, even Angel feared me when I first met him as strong willed as he is, leading to my theory about you.”

“Well your right I’m not a bunny I was originally a pony.”

“How about we talk this over some tea?”

Bab’s nodded maybe some tea would make her feel better.

Within about 30 minutes Owlicious had made some tea and had set up the table in the kitchen for the both of them. While drinking their tea Bab’s told the librarian’s owl what had happened throughout the past two days.

“So just to make sure I heard you right I’m going to repeat what you just said.

“You and your friends went to the Everfree forest in an attempt to get your cutiemarks.”

Owlicious looked back for confirmation and to which Bab’s nodded.

“Then you were separated from them and had to find a way out from the forest.

“But during your search you got attacked by timber wolves and you were able to ward them off with a blue flower.”

She nodded again.

“You then eat some of the flowers and slept and in the morning you were a bunny?”

Bab’s nodded again and the owl scratched his chin with his wing.

“Most peculiar indeed, It seems whatever that flower was did this to you, and you said it was blue correct.”

“Yes”

“I believe I’ve heard of a flower doing strange things to Pony’s but I’m sure none of them ended in full transformations into other creatures.

“I’ll have to look for one later but for now there are two things we must address.”

Bab’s scratched her head in confusion.

“What do you mean?”

“Well my dear not to be offensive but you really do need to take a bath of some sort the smell you’re
emitting has started to become pungent.”

“I guess your right is their anywhere I can take a bath in peace?”

“There’s a bathroom upstairs that you can take a bath in, I’ll guard the door if you want some privacy.”

“Thank you.”

“But before that we need to address the second issue.”

“Alright what is it?”

“We need someone to train you on being a bunny, I’m sure by now you’ve noticed that you can jump higher and that the body you have now is lighter than your pony one.”

“Yeah I’ve noticed that.”

“We need someone to train you in the ways of the bunny so that you fit in.”

“So who do you have in mind?”

“Angel…”

“What no way am I learning anything from him?” she said as she crossed her arms in disgust.

“I’m guessing you’ve had a bad encounter with him.”

“Yeah it ended in us fighting.”

“Well he owes me a favor and if I’m there to oversee your training nothing can go wrong.”

Bab’s thought about it for a moment weighing her options.

‘I hate that bunny with a passion but if Owlicious is their he may be able to get some progress in but if we look for a remedy for this can’t we just bypass it all together?’

“Can’t we just find a remedy to turn me back?”

Owlicious shook his head.

“No, I need some time to find the book that will explain what that flower is plus who knows what the remedy could require us to do so until then you will need to act like most bunny’s.”

“Fine, but I haven’t made a decision yet I’ll think about it further when I’m taking a bath.”

Owlicious nodded and said “Follow me.”

He led her up the stairs through Twilight’s room and into her bathroom.

“If you need any help just call out I’ll be just outside if you need anything.”

Bab’s nodded and began to take her bath, hoping that most of the day’s troubles would be washed away in the pink suds.

Chapter 3

As the water flowed over Bab's fur she thought about the recent events that have fallen upon her. It was unfortunate for her to have fallen into such a predicament just by getting lost in a forest. As far as she knew, this hasn't happened to anypony before.

The filly turned bunny was a bit depressed by the recent situations that have befallen her. She wondered if she would ever see her family again or even Manehatten. Granted, she loved Ponyville far better than the big city, but it's where she grew up so it held a lot of significance for her.

After some more thought, Babs decided that she wanted to put some soap on her. She looked at the sink counter but couldn't see a bottle of soap anywhere.

"Owlicious?"

"Yes dear."

"Can you help me find some soap I can use?"

"Of course."

Owlicious then opened the bathroom door and flew onto a shelf near the shower head. There he found a small bottle of soap and lowered it down to her.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

He then flew out of the doorway a little wetter than he had been before entering.

Bab's then applied the soap to her paw and lathered her fur, scrubbing as fiercely as she could. Now covered in suds and bubbles, she rinsed herself once more. After washing her entire body, she turned off the water and shook her fur vigorously to let drops of water fly off her fur and to the sides of the bath tub. She wasn't completely dry so she used a small wash cloth to dry off the remaining parts of herself.

"Are you done Babs?" Owlicious asked her when she exited the bathroom.

"Yes, I feel a lot better now."

Owlicious smiled and said, "that's good to hear. It's getting a bit late, why don't you go to sleep while I search for some more information."

Babs was about to protests but when she opened her mouth a yawn came out.

"Maybe you're right," she said as her eyes became unusually heavy.

"There's a small basket that Twilight put out for you back downstairs. I'll lead you to it."

As Owlicious lead the way, Babs became slower and more sluggish by the second. When they finally reached the table that had the basket on it, Babs had no energy left to climb it.

"Do you think you can get it for me?"

Owlicious saw how tired she was and said, "Sure, this will only take a moment."

He flew up to the table and brought down the basket with ease. Once inside Babs threw the covers over herself and fell asleep.

The owl watched as her breathing slowed down, and she began to snore.

Poor thing, the night owl thought to himself. A kid shouldn't be thrust out of her comfort zone at such an age. With the flap of his wings, Owlicious flew through the open window of the library and headed straight towards the Everfree Forest to research the mysterious blue flower.

When Babs woke up in the morning she felt refreshed. As she hopped out of the basket her stomach rumbled. I should get something to eat, she thought to herself.

She found Twilight's fridge and searched for carrots. She managed to find one and began to munch on it as she searched for her owl friend.

Bab's found him sleeping next to a book that was titled "Plants of The Everfree Forest”.

She shook him awake, took a bite of her carrot, and after a few bites said, "eh, what's up doc?"

"Real funny," Owlicious said unamused by Babs attempt at having fun.

"Did you manage to find anything about the flower?"

“I may have found something, but just to be sure I'm going to do a bit more research. In the mean time you must learn how to act like a bunny.”

The green eyed bunny had forgotten all about the conversation she had with him earlier. Once remembering the conversation her demeanor changed.

"Do I have to?" she asked with a pout.

"You do if you don't want the other animals thinking you're weird for not having the simplest bunny instincts. Plus, you barely know how to jump like a bunny, how do you expect to get away from predators?"

"You talk as if I'll be living my whole life as a bunny."

"No, of course you won't, but what'll you do if a hawk or eagle swooped down and grabbed you. How will you react then."

"Good point," Babs then sighed, "Fine, let's get this over with."

Owlicious smiled, "good, I knew you'd be able to see things my way. Before we go however I need some food, I'm quite famished."

After Owlicious ate a bowl of sunflower seeds, they made their way to Fluttershy's cottage to look for Angel.

They found him lounging beneath a tree taking a nap.

"Can you move out of the way?" he said without opening his eyes, "I'm trying to relax."

Owlicious cleared his throat making Angel open his eyes.

"Well if it isn't my old friend Owlicious, and the newcomer Bobo."

"The name's Babs," she said with a scowl.

"Babs, Bobo, pretty much the same thing. So what brings you two here?"

"Angel this may be hard to believe, but Babs was originally a pony."

Owlicious let the information sink in for a minute before he continued.

"For some unexplained reason she turned into a bunny. As I conduct research into this I need you to train Babs to act like a bunny. Do you think you can do it?"

Angel said nothing for a moment before laughing. He laughed so hard that his entire body began to turn a shade of blue from the lack of oxygen.

Bab's and Owlicious looked at each other for a moment before letting Angel finish. The bunny laughed for a couple minutes before finally being able to talk again.

"So let me get this straight, you want me to spend my valuable time helping her?"

"Yes, is that a problem?"

"Yes, I have better things to do than take care of a bunny that'd probably wouldn't last a day with me."

"Angel, you owe me one remember?" He said as he whispered into his ear something Babs couldn't hear.

He then sighed and said, "you drive a hard bargain owl, I'll give you that."

"I'll be back later, take care Babs, Angel."

As Owlicious flew away, Babs couldn't help but ask Angel what her owl friend had said to make him agree.

"So... What did he say to make you agree?" she said with a smirk.

"That's none of your business, and you won't be smirking after I'm through with you. Now come on." He said as he lead her back into Ponyville.

Angel climbed up the first house he saw and waited for Bab’s to follow. Bab’s couldn’t see how Angel made his way up there, but she wasn't gonna fail something as simple as jumping. She jumped onto the windowsill, steadying herself before taking another jump to the top of the window. She then leaped onto the gutter and pulled herself onto it making the last jump to the roof easy.

"What are we doing on the roof?" Babs asked as she saw many of the ponies below going about their daily life.

"I want to see how agile you are," he said simply.

"Well what do I do?"

"Just wait a couple of minutes."

After a couple of minutes of waiting, Babs became fed up.

"This is pointless, we're not doing anything but standing around. When are we going to get to-"

The sound of an eagle screeching cut her off.

"There he is," Angel said as he began to stretch.

"Your first test is to escape from this eagle alive. I hope you're quick on your feet because this guy is relentless."

Babs couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Go!"Angel shouted as he ran and hopped from roof to roof.

Babs stood there in shock for a while before her bunny instincts kicked in as the eagle drew closer.

"I got to get away from him," she said as she tried to run away from the predator.

The eagle dived toward her and narrowly missed her when Bab’s jumped to the next roof. Her landing was rough however, making her roll on the hard tiles of the roof.

She quickly picked herself off the ground and started running again. The next time the eagle dived toward her she was able to predict the right moment to do a backflip over it on her next jump. Unfortunately for her she didn’t calculate the distance and jumping power she needed making her almost miss the jump and nearly fell of the building. She was able to grab the ledge of the roof, and pull herself up to continue going.

This eagle was relentless in obtaining its meal. It spent a couple of hours chasing Babs without a break or a short rest. Eventually she was able to give it the slip but even when she was able to hide in a cart full of hay, the eagle kept on searching for her.

She peered out of the hay when she heard the screams of the eagle dwindle until she could barely hear it.

“So you’ve finally decided to come out of hiding?” Angel asked her from the top of a roof nearby.

“What are you talking about?” Babs asked him angrily.

“Well, the point of this was to test how agile you were and obviously you’re not very agile considering the fact you had to lose him by hiding.”

“I almost died!” She shouted angrily.

“That’s no excuse. I told you, you wouldn’t last a day with me. None can handle my training regime and usually get eaten by that eagle that just flew off. You’re one of the lucky ones.”

Babs looked at him with a mixture and shock and anger. The fact that he had done this multiple times and seemed to hold no regret for it made her want to puke.

“Just tell Owlicious that he came to the wrong bunny to train you. Trust me, you don’t want my help. Catch you later.” He turned around and headed towards the direction of Fluttershy’s cottage.

Babs turned towards the direction of the library, but before she could continue walking, her body’s exhaustion caught up with her.
