A priestess devoted to god, a god in love with her priestess, two sisters who will bring them together, and a mother who will try and tear them apart, this is their story.

The gods, beings that are both imaginable and unimaginable to the minds of Equestrian citizens. One goddess in particular seems both tangible in most events, yet untouchable in others, and she is the virgin goddess Celestia, goddess of the sun and master of the day.

For years, the virgin goddess has been harboring a growing love for her high priestess, the legendary Twilight Sparkle. But sadly, this love could not be realized, for her mother Faust, the goddess of creation and ruler of the gods, says it is forbidden for one such as her. But sometimes what is forbidden is what somepony needs, and so the solar goddess's sisters have set off to bring the two unusual lovers together, not knowing the events they are setting into motion with one simple act.

Authors Warning Point's:
Point One: Cadenza (Cadance) in this fic is Luna and Celestia's sister, not their niece.
Point Two: I know it has the tags, but I feel I might as well restate this any way, this fic will contain graphic scenes depicting sex and gore, if that is not your thing I suggest you go find another fic.
Point Three: In this universe Celestia Luna and others do not live in the mortal world, so they are treated more godlike then in the show.
Point Four: In this universe the rest of the mane six are either acolytes, Valkyrie, or priestesses of one or more of the goddesses, including the dark ones. Also some background ponies will be in in these ranks as well.
Final Point: While this will follow along the lines of the show, many events from mlp will be altered to fit the new universe.

Ye Cruel Gods: Chapter One

Celestia walked among the pillars that composed the astral plane, her graceful hooves gliding over the cloudy surface that composed the floor of this strange place. She was making her way to her favored spot, the place the gods called the mirror pool, which allowed them to stare into the lives of the mortals who they guided through signs and visions.

She moved over to the pool, the scenery changing from the pillars and clouds to a moss covered cavern, sitting down in the grass next to the pool and dipping her wing into it, giving it a stir and then waiting for the images to appear.

Many of the images that appeared bored her, so she quickly waved them away, but soon one appeared that caused her to smile. She focused on the image, calling it closer and watching as the one who adored her went about her daily life. The images were of her high priestess Twilight Sparkle, a mare who had sworn herself to the goddess of the sun when she was but a little filly, sacrificing everything including her promised marriage to a wealthy lord’s son to devote herself utterly to the sun goddess.

There was of course reason for the young mare’s devotion, and thus it was Celestia’s duty to remember it. When the mare had been young, she had been brought before the priests of the goddess Faust, so that she could be tested on her magic. Everything had been going pretty well, until one of her acolytes, a young pegasus mare named Rainbow Dash, had triggered a harmonic discharge which had caused the young unicorn to overload with magical potential.

Her magic had started to spiral out of control, tearing the temple apart and wreaking havoc to the ponies inside. Her magic had also been causing herself harm, but through that pain, she had offered up a simple prayer to Celestia, asking her to help her stop this madness and get her control back, and Celestia had answered her call.

It had been the first time in thousands of years that the sun goddess had appeared before her people, and the moment she appeared, all bowed in awe; all save for the mare who had called to her. She had walked up to Twilight, placing a reassuring hoof onto the young fillies shoulder and smiling down at her, before using her magic to end the magical surge.

For Celestia it had been a simple task, one not even noteworthy in the eyes of the old goddess, but for Twilight it had been turning point in her life. From that moment on, she had devoted her entire life to the worship of the sun goddess, abandoning all other prospects in order to become a priestess, including her arranged marriage.

As she rose amongst the ranks, Celestia had presented her with many challenges along her road, and she had rose to each one with a religious fever that made many a pony tremble. Under Celestia’s guiding she had launched a quest to recover the artifacts known as the Elements of Harmony, as well as freeing her sister from the clutches of the dark goddess Nightmare. She had also gone on to defeat many other dark gods, like Discord the god of chaos and Chrysalis the goddess of change.

Finally, after he latest exploit, Celestia had sought fit to bestow the unicorn with a pair of wings, much to the displeasure of Faust, for she thought Celestia was becoming quite infatuated with the mortal. And she was right, Celestia was infatuated with her, much more than a god should be with a mortal, especially one such as her. Oh sure, for goddesses like Cadenza and Luna, they could get away with flirting and messing around with the mortals, Cadenza had even turned Twilight’s brother Shining into her personal Valkyrie, but she of course could not do such things. She was the virgin goddess of the sun, untouchable, pure, and perfect, and as such such wants and desires were forbidden to her.

But Celestia did have wants, she did have desires, and they were all focused on that one mare who devoted every waking moment to her goddess. And she knew it was every moment, for once while she had been board, she had decided to take a peek at her most dedicated worshiper during the long hours of the night, and had found to her surprise the mare in her bed, tending to her flower while she whispered sweet prayers to her solar goddess.

“Celestia,” said a stern voice, causing the solar goddess to jump up and end her connection to the mirror pool, the image of Twilight teaching some younger disciples her prayers vanishing as she turned to look upon who had spoken. She quickly bowed low, showing her fealty to the Goddess of Creation as she glared at her with her ice blue eyes, the cold stare showing no evidence that the being she was staring at was family.

“What have I told you about looking in on the life of that mortal,” said Faust, walking back over and calling the images again as Twilight’s face re-appeared in the pool, Faust glaring at it as she spoke again. “I remember telling you that such obsession is not for the likes of you, you are the virgin goddess, your role is to remain pure.”

“Pure of what Mother, I already have impure thoughts like all the others, why must I to be denied such pleasures, I don’t see you doing the same.”

Faust didn’t even move as one of her six wings shot out, stretching to an impossible size as it caught Celestia by the throat and pinned her to the adjacent wall, Faust not even looking at her as she spoke. “That is why you must restrain yourself most of all Celestia, you are still of pure body and spirit. As to these impure thoughts, let them linger, as gods we must all suffer such things, but as for indulgence, I am afraid you will simply have to do without that.”

Faust then let go of her, letting her drop to the floor as she rose to her hooves. “Come along then, we have to go and speak with some of the dark gods and address the matter of their temples being burned down, and while we are doing that, I expect your thoughts not to drift to that priestess of yours.”

Celestia simply nodded, getting up and following her mother back into the main hub of the Astral plain, not noticing the eyes watching them as they headed off toward their next destination.

Cadenza giggled to herself as she flew back to Luna’s lunar glade, grinning like a newborn foal as her wings beat with an ever increasing pace. While she had been shocked to say the least that Luna had been correct about their sister’s infatuation with high priestess Twilight, she still revealed in the thought of new love brewing, especially if Cadenza had any say in the matter.

She landed in the moon lit glade, smiling at her lunar sibling as she spotted her lying next to a fallen tree, gazing up at the stars before looking up as Cadenza giggled during her approach.

“Well hello Cadenza, I see what I told you has wrung truth.”

“Oh yes,” said Cadenza, lying down next to Luna and turning so that she could look up at the stars, noticing that Luna was working on a new constellation but deciding to stick with her current topic. “I didn’t even need to get that close before I hit that practical field of love that is radiating off of her.”

She giggled some more, her face taking on a maniac glee as she continued to speak. “And it’s not just her, the young high priestess is the same way, and before you ask yes I know the difference between the love one holds for their goddess and the love one hold for somepony special and believe me, she sees her as somepony special as well as her goddess.”

Luna nodded, “I had figured as much, it only took one look into her dreams to know that. Now the thing we have to worry about is mother, you know how she views our dear Celestia.”

“aw yes, putting her on that pedestal of perfection and purity…god it makes me sick, virginity is so overrated!”

“I would have to agree dear sister, but we still need a plan as to how we can get those two together, I mean she can’t just visit Twilight out of the blue, everypony would be swarming her asking for favors and good weather, and by the time she could pry herself away to be with the high priestess mother would descend from on high and take her back home.”

Cadenza thought about it for a moment, and then a smile graced her face as she looked around at the area around them. “Well why don’t we bring them to our realms?”

Luna raised a skeptical eyebrow, causing Cadenza to go speak again before she voiced any concerns. “look, mother knows us, she knows what we like to do, so she never looks into our realms little gardens anymore because she does not approve, so the perfect place for them to meet is a place that she does not have her eyes on.”

Luna thought about it for a moment, and then nodded her head as a smile graced her face. “Yes, that would be a good idea, but I suggest it be you that bring her here first, I know for a fact mother particularly despise what I allow to go on in the openness of my nighttime glade.”

Cadenza nodded, “I will go get her now then, you just make sure to get Celestia here and all will be good.”

Luna nodded, and then got up as Cadenza vanished with a burst of magic, the lunar goddess heading out of her glade and towards the place where she knew Faust had taken her, her plan in motion and a smile on her lips. If all went well, the once pure goddess would be a virgin no more.

Twilight made her way back to her giant tree home located in the center of Ponyville proper, its massive trunk stretching up into the sky and serving as both the young priestesses home, and as the holy archives for the entire town. She also had her own personal shrine to the sun goddess, located in her private bedroom away from the main rooms of the great tree, but that was only for her personal use, for it was where she made her more…personal prayers to the goddess of the sun.

She shivered just thinking about it, knowing what she did would be seen as wrong, but secretly not giving a dam. Celestia may be the virgin goddess she thought, but even goddesses have wants and desires, so in her own way, by doing those personal prayers, she was using her own body as a way to somewhat satiate the goddesses lack of true bliss.

But she soon shook such thoughts from her head, for she had three important visitors coming to her home today, the sisters of three of Celestia’s chosen. They like their sisters before them had decided to take the road of priestess, as their sisters were now acolytes to the goddess of the sun, though unlike her they didn’t devote themselves entirely to one goddess.

She didn’t mind though, for she knew the other gods, including the darker ones, needed the prayers of such beings in this day and age, especially the reformed dark gods.

She made it to her door, walking inside of the great tree and heading over to one of her lavish couches that were set up for ponies to relax and enjoy one of the many books that were in the great library. However, she didn’t get to sit down long, for several minutes after arriving she heard a knock on the door and getting up to open it, smiling when she saw three little fillies standing outside her door.

“Hello Priestess,” they said as they bowed, causing Twilight to chuckle before beckoning for them to rise.

“Please girls, you have known me too long to be bowing the way you do, I get enough of that from everypony else. Now why don’t we head inside, I want to talk to you girls a bit before we get down to why you are here.”

The three fillies nodded, walking slowly into the tree before Twilight closed the door, following them to the seats and taking a chair opposite them as they sat down on a couch. “So Scootaloo, how is your sister Fluttershy doing, I am afraid I haven’t seen her since she went on her pilgrimage into the Everfree forest.”

“She is doing fine Priestess,” said Scootaloo, “she has been making steady progress through her training with Zecora, but sometimes I worry for her, you know how she gets sometimes with…well with her powers.”

Twilight sadly nodded, knowing well the plight of her fellow element holder, “I am sure she will learn to cope with it eventually, but for now we must leave her fate for the gods to decide.”

Scootaloo nodded, and then Sweetie Belle opened her mouth to speak. “Um Priestess, is it true that the goddess Celestia gifted you both with your cutie mark and your wings?”

Twilight nodded, “yes it is true, it was she who graced me with both the gift of my talent and my wings, the first of which led to my joining the priesthood.”

Scootaloo mouthed the word wow as Sweetie Belle cheered, but before any of the other girls could ask any other questions, another knock sounded from the door, prompting Twilight to look over at it in confusion. “That’s odd,” said Twilight as she got up, “I wasn’t expecting anypony else, I wonder who it could be.”

She walked over to the door, opening it and then gasping when she saw who was standing outside her door, for it was none other than the goddess of love Mi Amore Cadenza.

“Hello Twilight, may I be allowed to enter you humble home.”

Twilight nodded, moving out of the way as the large alicorn walked in, watching her as she moved toward the three fillies and smiled, noting how they gasped.

“Hello girls.”

“Mi…Mi Amore Cadenza,” said Apple Bloom.

“Yes, that’s me. Now before you say anything more, I know you all wanted to talk to Twilight today, but I am afraid I am in need of her services at the moment, however I promise that when she comes back you will be the first who get to contact her.”

The fillies all nodded their head, getting up and wishing Twilight farewell, before leaving her alone with the grinning goddess.

“Come here Twilight,” said Cadenza, watching as the young mare approached her, before giving her a big hug which caused the young mare to squeak.

“Oh how I have missed you, it has been so long since your brother’s ascension ceremony; that was such a splendid affair.”

“Yes it was,” said Twilight.

“Speaking of splendid affairs, my sister Luna wishes to speak with you in her nighttime glade; says she has a surprise.”

“A surprise,” asked Twilight.

Cadenza nodded, then indicated to Twilight that she should come close, wrapping them both up in magic before teleporting to the moonlight glade.

It took a moment for Twilight to get used to the darkness, but the moment she did her eyes widened in shock, for she saw Luna talking merrily with her sister.

“Ce…Celestia!”

The elder goddess whipped her head around at the sound of her beloved priestess, her eyes widening before she rounded back on Luna. “Dear sister, I thought you said we would only be meeting with Cadenza, you said nothing about bringing her here.”

“Well we had to get you here somehow, but now I must leave with Cadenza, after all you will no doubt want to speak with you dear priestess, tah!”

“Wai…” started Celestia, only to stop as both Cadenza and Luna vanished, leaving her and Twilight alone in Luna’s glade.

As they stood there all alone, Celestia began to sweat, for the close proximity of the one she had desired was practically torture, but she knew she could keep from doing anything rash…at least she hoped.

“S…so,” said Celestia to distract herself, “how are you doing my faithful servant, it has been a very long time since we last saw each other.”

“I’m doing well,” said Twilight, flapping her wings absentmindedly, which caused Celestia’s heart to flutter. “Things have been getting kind of…well…lonely, for all my friends are either of training or on quests, leaving me with nothing to do…which is why I was jumped at the chance to take up lessons with Luna…though now I wonder what her real reason is for bringing me here.”

“Me to, though if it is what I think it is…maybe I should tell her,” thought Celestia, clearing her throat rather loudly as she tried to choke out a response. “I…I may…may know why she brought you and me here.”

“Really?” asked Twilight, looking up expectantly at the blushing princess and pausing as her eyes registered her expression, “Celestia…is something the matter?”

“Twilight I…” started the regal sun goddess, only to stop as the words caught in her throat, before she finally managed to wrestle a response past them. “Look Twilight, I need you to swear to me upon my holy name that what I am about to tell you stays between us, and is not to be shared with your friends, your family, and especially not your fellow priestesses…do I make myself clear.”

Twilight nodded, making the sacred motion over her heart before looking back to Celestia, who was trying not to freak out. “It’s ok Celestia, you can do this,” she thought, taking a deep breath before finally speaking. “Twilight, I care for you more than a goddess of my status should, I love you more than my followers, I love you more than my priests and priestesses, and I love you more than anything else I could name…so to put it simply…I the goddess of the sun am in love with you Twilight Sparkle.”

Twilight’s eyes dilated to the size of dinner plates, the words of her goddess rendering her speechless and allowing the older mare to continue. “I…I know you also have these kind of feelings for me Twilight, for I have seen your more…personal prayers to me, and can tell you I highly enjoy them. But now a question lies before you my Twilight, now that you have me here, ready and willing…what are you going to do with me?”

Twilight simply stared at her a long moment, her mind in bloody turmoil as it warred with what to do. “She said she loves me,” she thought, “Celestia loves me, she actually loves me!”

“Hold on there,” said another voice in her head, “I don’t even know if she means what I think she means, I mean she said she is in love with me, but she is a goddess after all, it could mean something entirely different for her.”

The two voices warred back and forth, till finally Twilight shut them up with one thought, a phrase which had become a signature saying for the group of friends from Ponyville.

“WwRDd, What would Rainbow Dash do?”

As if called to her consciousness, the voice of the one who had changed her entire destiny filled her head, calming her with her oddly reassuring words. “The worlds not always going to make sense Twi, all us Valkyrie know this as a given. Sometimes we can plan ahead for these moments, but most of the time we will only have two choices. We can do something smart, and probably make it out alive, of if we can’t do anything smart, we can do something stupid, and pray to the goddesses that it pays off in the end.”

So for once in her very short life, she decided to do something stupid, and so with a burst of speed she rushed ahead and kissed the goddess full on the mouth, letting out the loudest moan she had ever uttered in her life.

On the other end of the kiss, a loud moan ripped its way through Celestia’s throat out her mouth, for the touch of her high prie…no, her beloved Twilight’s lips upon her own felt far better than anything the astral realm could ever provide. And as the kiss continued, Celestia allowed her mouth to part a little, just enough for her and Twilight’s tongues to intertwine, the two wet muscles gently coiling around each other as the two mares continued to kiss.

They could have held that kiss for hours, hell they could have held that kiss for days, for neither of them needed to breathe. But finally, they parted lips, their tongues holding on a bit longer till they slid apart, leaving them both panting from long repressed desire.

“Ce…Celestia?”

“Twilight…?”

“Is…is their some where we can con…continue this…I…I don’t think I could stop myself even if I wanted to…”

Celestia nodded quickly, leading her into a dense patch of trees before giving a lusty growl, using her immense size to push Twilight over and straddle her, before settling down comfortably atop her precious Twilight as the younger mare squeaked in anticipation.

“How…how long have you wanted me Celestia,” asked Twilight, figuring now was the best time to ask this kind of question, for she figured she might not get another chance.

“Since you came of age my Twilight,” said Celestia as she began nipping at the younger mares neck, eliciting more of those desirable squeaks and moans from her soon to be christened mate. “I have wanted you so bad in burned me like Tirek’s fire, so passionate is the flame I hold for you.”

“I…I have felt the same way,” said Twilight, “though as you probably know I wanted you for far longer…ever since you made me your personal priestess.”

Celestia smiled, and then continued her bout of nipping and kissing, till Twilight tried to wiggle out of her grasp.

“Pl…please Celestia…let…let me tend to you…”

Celestia simply shook her head, “No my dear…sweat Twilight, you have tended to me and worshiped me far more times then I care to count, so I think it only fair that I worship you on this night…at least for now.”

Twilight wanted to protest, for she was undeserving of being worshiped by a being such as Celestia, but before she could even protest Celestia bit down on the side of her neck, causing her to cry out as her whole body spasmed with delight.

Celestia slowly worked her way down Twilight’s body, making little licks and bites as she made her way to Twilight’s swelling mound, which glistened in anticipation of the coming contact. When she finally reached it, she gave it a long and generous lick, going from the bottom of the opening, to the very top, giving the young mare’s clitoris a little lick before going back to the entrance itself and diving in.

Twilight was biting her lip so hard she knew she was probably drawing blood, but she didn’t want to cry out again for fear of being over heard, but eventually the goddess’s ministrations were just too much, and she finally threw her head back and screamed as her first orgasm hit her.

Celestia let Twilight ride out her climax, watching the young mares face as she rode out the intense wave she had brought her to. After the mare was fished, Celestia lay her head down on her chest, waiting for her to catch her breath before speaking to her. “So my Twilight, how did that feel?”

“Amazing,” whispered Twilight, her body awash in afterglow as she looked up to her beautiful face, “I’m just sorry I didn’t last very long.”

“It is perfectly understandable Twilight,” said Celestia, “after all, neither of us is exactly used to this sort of thing. Now, let me see if I can coax a few more of those delicious cries out of you.”

“W…wait,” said Twilight, causing the goddess to look at her in confusion. “Celestia please, let me tend to you, it unfair if I receive all the attention.”

“On that I will have to disagree my dear Twilight,” said Celestia sweetly, “For like I said, you have done enough for me as it is. But besides that, did you ever wonder what kind of effect your prayers would have on me?”

Twilight stared at her a moment, then it suddenly dawned on her, her eyes widening as she tried to sputter out a response, “You…you mean my prayers caused you to…?”

“Feel pleasure,” finished Celestia, “indeed it did, for while you may not have known it, you sacrificed a part of those sensations to me every time you prayed.”

“Oh god,” said Twilight, “that…that must have been…”

“Embarrassing?” said Celestia, “yes, indeed the first time was embarrassing, for it happened right in the middle of my realm, though luckily no pony was around to see me. After if figured out what had happened, I made sure to be in my own chambers by the time you went to your bedroom, that way I would always be able to enjoy it more…intimately along with you.”

Twilight blushed hard, and then blushed even harder when Celestia spoke once more. “Now…let’s see how much I can make you scream.”
