The bond of sisterhood between Luna and Celestia si very thin and what happens when Celestia snaps that bond. How will Luna's reaction effect all of Equstria.
The sisters of day and night have a bit of a falling out. Can the words that Celestia say effect Luna so much that sh rethinks of vistiting an old ally? How will Luna's reaction effect the whole world as well a Twilight Sparkle and her friends.
"Celestia I am just saying I should get a day for me. I mean you get the Summer Sun Celebration.", said Princess Luna a dark blue coated alicorn and coe ruler of Equstria.
Already annoyed due to castle problems and it didn't help that Luna had been asking for her Winter Moon Celebration years now. Celestia responded in a harsh voice, "Luna silence on this matter it is just not tradition to celebrate the moon."
Still ever persistent Luna responded, "But sister due to my return from a 1000 years of imprisonment I think I should get my day just like you."
Getting more annoyed Celestia burst practically yelling at her sister, "Luna silence if you were a more important pony than you would get your day, but you are not so stop asking me about this unimportant Winter Moon Celebration, because it will never happen."
"So I am not important.", Luna said in a hurt voice. Turning Luna began to gallop across the throne room blowing the thick wooden doors to splinters with a blast of magic. Tears which had began to flow from Luna's eyes hit the polished white floor of the Canterlot throne room.
Catching her breath Celestia said in a meek voice, " Luna wait I didn't mean too."
Luna had disappeared into her room where she was on the floor sobbing her eyes out into the deep red carpet. Then as the words of Celestia began to replay through her head Luna thought so I am not important and not worthy of celebration. Then back in the deepest darkest part of her head spoke, "Luna it's ok I will comfort you just let me take you into my comforting hooves." The voice said in a very comforting almost motherly voice.
Responding back to the voice Luna thought, "Ok, take me in."
The dark powers of night began to flow through Luna's veins turning her eyes to a deep purplish green. Celestia clopped into the darkening room as she began to move a hoof forward to attempt to place it on Luna's sholder to comfort her. Celestia then said in a voice that would be used when speaking to a filly,"Luna I am so sorry I didn't mean what I said."
When Celestia's hoof made contact with Luna's back she was blone across the room smashing against the wall as the former Princess Luna was enveloped by the powers of darkness. Bones cracked, wings expanded, horn grew, tail and mane lengthened, and the former Luna grew taller. A deeper voice then spoke it was the voice of Nightmare Moon, "Oh great Celestia thank you for letting me free and now Luna will be safe. We will be safe."
The balcony doors were blone aside hitting the stone walls which shattered the glass into a million shards that hit the floor with a slight tinkling sound. Nightmare Moon stepped out expanded her large dark feathered wings which flapped once experimentally then stepping back Nightmare Moon galloped forward propelling herself off the balcony as Nightmare traveled across the sky the bright day sky that Celestia had conjured which was slowly transforming to dusk. Celestia thought from her crouched position on Luna's bedroom floor no I didn't mean for this to happen I just wanted my sister back.
Rising from the floor Celestia gathered her baring then galloping at a fast rate to her study. The study doors were blone open as Celestia entered she hastily conjured up a piece of parchment and leviated a quill and a bottle of ink from the desk to her and she began to write a short, but important letter to Twilight Sparkle. The letter may only have been four word, but they were the most important word that the pony in Ponyville would most likely read. They were, "Nightmare Moon has returned." With a zap of magic Celestia sent the letter.
Bursting through the doors of the throne room in Canterlot Twilgiht Sparkle said, "Princess we came as fast as we could."
The we were Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie.
"Good you must wield the Elements of Harmony again to take away the dark powers of Nightmare Moon."
"How did she manage to turn Luna and why is it becoming night time during the day." , Twilight asked rapidly.
"Nightmare Moon was released by me when I told Luna that she wasn't as important as me," Celestia said in a somber voice. "and she is stonger. Strong enough to turn the day to night."
They all gasped from what the princess had said, because Celestia wasn't known for being cruel to her unstable sister.
A loud voice then burst all across Equestria as if broadcast over a loud speaker, "Citizens of Equestria I Nightmare Moon have returned. This is due to your beloved Princess Celestia," then the words that Celestia said to Luna were repeated." but do not blame Luna for it is not her fault she is now safe. Safe with me and now I summon my creatures of darkness."
At Fluttershy's cottage Nightmare Moon blew open the door with large gusts of wind produced by her large wings, speaking in a loud voice that could be over heard the chatter of the woodland creatures Nightmare Moon said, "Discord I free you from this prison."
Releasing a blast of magic Discord was freed; his surpentine body curling out of the door. Proceeding to the heavily armed Crystal Empire Nightmare Moon hovered in mid-air she took aim at the crystal heart that gleamed with magic. Surely, she would have been attacked if not for Discord transforming the creature of the relm to brutality. Nightmare Moon then released a blast of magic that hit the Crystal Heart blowing it away from it shelter and as it hit the floor shattering into a million pieces the crystal began to change to its former grey form. Then as the shards of the heart hit the crystalized floor with a tinkle Nightmare Moon realeased another blast that hit the top stepal of the crystal castle. Then as the darkness hit the top transforming the already graying crystal to an even darker color, loud evil laughs then began to echo through out the empire as a shadowy form began to solidify revealing the revived King Sombra.
"Alright, girls I think from what information I had received from the pegasus ponies, Discord has been freed, King Sombra has been reserected, and we already know that Nightmare Moon has been brought back. As well we have heard the Nigtmare Moon is said to be at the old castle were we first vanquished her.", Twilight finished as chocolate milk hit the window of the train and the finally light of the dull day was extingquished.
The ponies galloped through the Ever Free Forest until all of them slightly flustered except for Rainbow Dash, reached the old derelict castle. They stepped through the thresh hold then small walls of stones began to rise from the floor separating the ponies to leave Applejack and Rarity together, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie together, Rainbow Dash and Twilight together. raising her voice with magic Twilgiht said, " Alright ladies lets progress to the center and we can meet up there."
Applejack and Rarity may not have gotten along, but it was crusial that they and there element of harmony got to the center with the others. They began to gallop a dark form began to appear in front of them as it became clearer it revealed King Sombra. His horn began to glow releasing a blast of magic that hit the ponies as they attempted to gallop away. The spell that had been cast on the two replayed the worst images that they could imagine stopping them dead still in there tracks.
The center was revealed exposing Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy so did it also reveal Rainbow Dash and Twilight, but no Applejack or Rarity. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy both walked to the end of the hall that Applejack and Ratiy had been in as they did they stood in front of a dull stain glass window. Closer to the window Discord appeared as if conjured from thin air and with a clap of marionets small strings rapped around Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy restircting the two making them as limp as puppets which Discord controled.
Dashing forward Rainbow Dash tried to free the entrapped Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Rainbow leaped forward she was blone back by a dark spell which was cast by the shadowey form of King Sombra. Turning around Sombra released another spell this time aimed at Twilight the spell turned to hundreds of small knives. If not for Twilight erecting a shield she was protected from some of the knives, but a few still managed to slice her. Stepping back she felt a smooth cold surface behind her it was a window. Sombra then released another blast it blew Twilight back through the window as the blood from one of the many cuts over her body the one on her head began to leak blood.
As Nightmare Moon circled the moon Celestia came fluttering up then speaking in that voice reserved for a filly she said, "Sister I ask. No, I beg that you return the day back and you return to me Luna please."
"I am not your sister and stop speaking to me as if I am a filly.", Nightmare Moon responded in a growl of a voice.
Then releasing a burst of magic that hit the hovering white alicorn it began rapping small thick chains all over her body restricting her large wings. Celestia had no power to fly and as she relealized what was going to happen she fell back to Equestria.
The blood from Twilight's head went through mid-air she gained speed as she fell. She thought my friends have fallen and Equestria's worst villians free. Then Twilight knew it she was going to die. Her life began to flash through her eyes and all the memories of good times began to flow through her eyes. Twilight closed her eyes for which she was would surely be her last time, surely it wouldn't hurt, surely it would be peaceful.
Nightmare Moon glisped off into the distance she saw a figure, a figure falling, looking in further she saw it was Twilight with blood pouring from her face. Nightmare Moon then heard a voice deep in her head speak, " Stop this when I summoned you back I didn't mean for it to go this far. I just wanted you to protect me from that horrible sister of mine I didn't want the girl to be impacted by this."
"But Luna it is just one little pony and once that one little pony is gone we can have fun forever."
Then Luna releasesd herself through out the body the dark powers were banished from her body and she shrunk back to normal sized Luna. Then with a burst of speed Luna launched herself off the cold empty surface of the moon.
Twilight was only 50 feet away from being splattered all over the rocks of the ground. Luna urged herself to go faster then as she did. Luna caught Twilight on the her back and as Luna landed she left torn up patches of dirt in the ground. Then looking at the pony on her back unconscious with blood from her head staining Luna's coat. Starring off into the distance she thought I am so sorry Twilight and Equestria I have a lot to do to regain control of you.
