The air was warm and the sun was shining it was a beautiful day in Ponyville and the two princess's Luna and Celestia were sitting in the castle doing what they do best maintain harmony and friendship throughout Equestria until one night when Luna brought up the moon a Pegasus pony of unknown origins snuck into the castle and tried to assassinate Celestia. She quickly reacted to the break in as one of Luna's pitiful attempts of taking over as princess and banished her from the castle she fled Canterlot in search of a new town and new recruits for the new army she was assembling the NLR Luna has done a great job in enlisting many ponies but her army is not the only one growing Celestia is creating a giant army known as the Solar empire. Celestia has enlisted many of the ponyville residents but not all a select few did choose to follow Luna in these crazy times those few where given the most respect and made officers in the Army they control their own squad of 6 them included and one of them is the element of loyalty Rainbow Dash was the third to join right after Soarin and Spitfire the other Wonderbolt chose Celestia the traitor but Rainbow Dash and the wonderbolts aren't bad.Celestia on the other hand has so many troops and many others that will help her. "Um hello is this thing on oh um this is Fluttershy I don't know what to do I chose to side with Celestia I wish I could say the same for Rainbow Dash I really wish she would have joined us but now that she chose Luna I might see her on the battlefield I hope I dont because I wont be able to do anything or to anypony and Celestia made me a captain I'm not a leader I'm a follower um I guess i will see what tomorrow has in store for me Fluttershy signing off"." Hey this is Captain Rainbow Dash doing a little audio log for the NLR I can't believe I am on the same side as the wonderbolts I might even be able to join them after this war because their third member joined Celestia and I know we will win that means the other member is likely to die giving me a good chance at it ok well thes is Rainbow Dash signing off hoping for fun tomorrow".
It has been 2 weeks since the failed assassination of Celestia still not knowing what is going on she sits eagerly awaiting the opportunity to strike and take possession of her Technological advances. " This is Captain Rainbow Dash adding to this audio log It's my first mission as a leader my mission is to sneak in to Celestia's compound and make off with her schematics to whatever she is making there is a total of six of us and I will not let my troops down Rainbow Dash out". As Rainbow Dash gets into position Celestia is also sending out a patrol It's just a scouting squad of about three ponies. "Captain three enemy hostiles coming this way it seems they have no idea we are here should we take them out"." Go for it Nightshade and make it quiet".Nightshade snuck up behind the patrol and make quick work of them snapped ones neck, and stabbed the other two, as Rainbow Dash comes up to the squad they just took out she finds out right there and then that the ponies they just killed were old friends from Ponyville Lyra, Bon Bon, and Colgate." Nightshade collect their tags so we can return them to Luna she would want to know about these three". As the squad moves into the compound they nearly get spotted by the watchtowers as the main task force waits by the gate Nightshade and Blackhawk move in to collect the schematics. As the two maneuver to the lab they notice a bunch of paper on the desk as they grab it the guard spots them and open fires almost instantly clipping Nightshade but they make short work of the guard and they high tale it out of there now that the security system has been tripped but Nightshade is in bad shape slowing them down Blackhawk doesn't even think about what he is about to do."Sorry Nightshade it's for the best". Rainbow Dash spots Blackhawk with the papers and a pair of tags he states Nightshade got shot and I believe him. Rainbow Dash felt accomplished that they succeeded and terrible at the same time she said she wouldn't let anypony down she let Nightshade down but before she could grieve anymore a combustion grenade went off blowing them sky high. hours later RD starts to come to and she finds the majority of her squad either dead or missing and the schematics are gone the only survivor is Shadowshot an NLR sniper Nightly, and Shade are dead and Blackhawk is MIA. Later that night they make it back and have to get debriefed."This is Captain RD reporting that we have failed in acquiring the schematics and I have failed my squad nearly all of them died because I lowered my guard and we were attacked by unknown forces this is RD signing out"." This is PFC. Shadowshot reporting that we have failed and me and RD are the only survivors that we could see still Blackhawk is missing I really wish I knew where he was this is Shadowshot signing off".
It has been nearly twenty four hours since the explosion of RD's squad her and Shadowshot are a little shaken as always RD is trying to show off and not show she is scared. Later the next day Luna decides to send out a scouting squad of two it's just Sorin one of the wonderbolts and Darkly a SGT. As the two walk in the fields Sorin spots something moving in the trees and the out of no where Darkly get hit by a silenced .40gov round blowing a clean hole in his chest he died before he hit the ground next thing you no Sorin gets hi too just he was shot in the head. Luna gets a bad feeling at this point and puts everypony on a lock down nopony gets in no pony gets out except a select group of scouting patrols are aloud to leave for scavenging. Luna eagerly awaits the return of her squad then later finds out by letter but she finds it odd Celestia never tells if she has taken a life let alone send a letter Luna gets a little suspicious after this.Luna then decides to go on a walk she demands no guards just a peaceful walk she later finds herself next to the boundary of Celestia's fort Luna suddenly shoots her Shadow MK 11 recharger pistol into the trees and kills two solar soldiers then Celestia appears and starts to talk to her sis about what is going on she tells her something and leaves Luna tries to build courage to shoot her sister but she just cant she just cant.
Luna sits in silence in her room just thinking about what her sister said and she couldn't believe that she told her this because them being enemies why would her sister tell her of a squad of dead solar soldiers up in the ruins of Canterlot in possession of some very dangerous experimental equipment. "Hey Luna it's Shadowshot just checking up on you seeing if your alright"."Shadowshot come in here I need to talk to you I need you to take a select few ponies out on a recovery mission since we are still on lock down I want you, RD, and Shadowplex to go since you guys are a professional recovery squad".As Shadowshot gets everypony they gear up with necessities for this mission they get flown in on a shadow bomber a few miles out and that they will pick them up in a day in this same spot at the same time. The three ponies look shocked to see what Canterlot has become a forgotten quarantined city RD remembers the quarantine just not what they were quarantining as the three track across the city they see in the distance a pony walking towards them they quickly raise their guns and point them at the pony telling her to stop she kept walking and Shadowplex walks to her and orders her to the ground next thing you know you see Shadowplex being ripped to pieces by the pony RD and Shadowshot watch in horror as their buddy's organs are thrown into the air blood being sprayed all over them the next thing to happen they open fire killing the pony they see about a dozen more in the street they run to the nearest building and bar the door.The two eagerly sit in the middle of a forgotten medical clinic thinking of a plan of escape with the building surrounded. The first thing they decide to do is search the building for supplies they come across a total of 6 med kits but no dead squad they then decide to go to the roof where they find four Solar soldiers looking at them with missing legs and bodies ripped open Shadowshot opens fire and takes them all out they then got to the footlocker and find and experimental sun gun and the schematics Shadowshot grabs the gun and the schematics and to top it all off they found a ladder that goes behind the building where nobody is as they make their way to it one of the soldiers gets back up and grabs RD she struggles to resist but the soldier is too much the pony then takes a giant bite out of her neck she then turns around looks at Shadowshot blood spewing out of her she finally falls to the ground the last thing Shadowshot saw before he dipped was the soldier going down to the twitching body and starts to gnaw on her wings. "This is corporal Shadowshot sounds cool doesn't it got the promotion when I brought back the gun and schematics I told Luna what was up there and that she was to never send another squad there again no matter what that place is a lost cause Shadowshot out".
Luna felt accomplished she had a moon gun in the making thanks to the schematics and gun design Shadowshot retrieved from Canterlot which she still thinks can be saved or used. To top it all off the NLR is also in possession of the sun gun and have it protected just in case Luna still cant think of a reason why her sister would have told her this they did loose Shadowplex and Rainbow Dash it was a tragic loss but in the end might make up for it.Back at the SE "Fluttershy I need you to prepare out prototypes for the upcoming battle it's time we attack now that their short a captain"."Um are you sure now is the time I mean why do we have to do this". " just do it" Fluttershy flies off to prepare the battle as the SE sets up they wait for a soldier to show his head and then blam no head then the battle begins. As the SE sit camped at the end of the field the night shift sets up next thing you know both soldiers get shot dead Luna runs out only to see guns blaring across the field she orders everypony to fighting positions and to fire at will. She orders Shadowshot out with the Moon gun but as Shadowshot walks out he spots somepony else but with a sun gun they both charge up and as they are pointed time just slowed as they both pulled the trigger they both fire large amounts of energy back at each other they collided in the air sparking a radioactive explosion in the middle of the field after what seemed like days Shadowshot starts to come to and he notices the devastation on the field he spots Fluttershy with the sun gun unconscious he drags her and Luna to a broke down shack as he gets he notices that he did not leave the battle unscaved he notices a chunk of him missing out of his side and its infected with radiation to add to the pain the explosion must have attracted the undead from Canterlot because they are all over the battlefield he watches as they start eating the dead and the wounded the even start munching on Celestia Luna starts to come to only to find the undead a wounded Shadowshot and an unconscious Fluttershy. The undead quickly pick up the smell of blood in the shack and with the force of all of them they break it down by this time Shadowshot had crawled to the closet only to watch Luna and Fluttershy ripped open."It was not supposed to happen but it did and now it's too late for any peace or tranquility the war has ended and there is no hope for Equestria its dead and soon everypony else will too this is corporal Shadowshot signing out for the last time".
