Spike walked around the library as he quickly and effectively sorted all the books to their designated places, like a well kept machine. And just like a machine his movements were mechanical and without any thought to them, since his mind was preoccupied with other things.

I really hope Twilight is okay. She and the others have been gone for too long already.

His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden bright flash that came from outside. Stopping what he was doing, Spike went to one of the library's window to see who or what caused that flash.

Sweat dropped from his scales, his body shook uncontrollably, and his eyes were wide with terror as the scene that he watched beyond the windows unfolded before him.

In the once calm street that lead to the library, where ponies would walk by without a worry in the world, now stood a tall and slender figure. Spike could only watch as the figure bended reality to its will, with a snap of its fingers the ground turned to a plaid pattern, with another a nearby house had its walls and roof turn into a sticky mass, and with a final one Spike gasped as he saw the utensil shop spring legs and walk away to the town’s center.

The figure laughed with delight at the scene that it had created, a laughter that pierced Spike’s very soul, sending his mind into overdrive where he had only one thought repeated over, and over, and over again. I have to hide! But tried as he might, his body would not obey him, that is until the figure looked past the window and towards him.

Snapping out of his trance, Spike quickly turned and tried to run towards the stairs, but before he could do so the figure gave a wicked smile and snapped its finger, disappearing in a flash and with another it appeared before him.

The figure, the draconequus know as Discord, towered over Spike whose breathing had become rapidly with horror. As he looked down at the small dragon, the wicked smiled changed to one of delight. “Oh! A small dragon! I never got to play with a dragon before! Specially a small one.”

“Who- who are y- you?”

“Me? I’m Discord! God of Chaos! The Eternal Laughter! And the greatest tap dancer that has ever walked the land!”

“Discord!? But if you’re here then that means that Twilight and the others….”

“The Elements of Harmony? They have already being taken care of,” Discord said, the wicked smile returning to his face.

“No… it… they can’t be….” Tears fell from Spike’s eyes as his mind was filled with images of all the horribles things that Discord had probably done to them.

“Shhhhh, little dragon,” Discord said as he put one his finger on Spike’s head. “No more tears. Only chaos now,” As he said that, Spike’s green and purple scales began to lose their color, starting from where Discord’s finger was all the way to the sole of his feet.

Once the transformation was complete, Discord retracted his finger which now wiggled alongside the others as Discord waited for Spike to do something.

“Oh what’s he going do? Maybe he’ll cluck like a chicken! Or be all depressed and sad, or he might start breakdancing for no good reason!” Discord continued to ramble on about all the possibly things that Spike might do. Spike on the other hand just looked at the ground, his tears long dried.

“I can’t wait to see what chaotic thing he will-” Suddenly, Discord felt something that he just couldn’t define what it was, it was as if the atmosphere of the room got denser, dense enough to almost suffocate in it. “-do.” By pure instinct Discord looked at his right hand, and what he saw left him completely speechless.

Where once was his lion paw now there was only a stump, the surface of it being completely flat, as if a very sharp and precise blade had bisected his arm. After staring at it for a few seconds, Discord turned to the only one that he could process as the responsible for it: Spike. Just by staring at him Discord could feel the suffocating feeling intensify more and more to the point where he believed that he would really suffocate.

And then Spike smiled.

But it wasn't a smile of happiness, peace or even delight. No, the smile was one of pure hunger, a feral smile that displayed all of his fangs.

The smile caused Discord to snap his fingers teleporting himself a few meters behind Spike. Discord noticed he could feel his right hand again, he slowly turned his gaze from Spike to his hand and he saw that his lion paw was still there. Wha- what? Was that just an illusion?

Suddenly, the sound of laughter began to fill the room, a laughter that started low but then became louder and louder. The laughter penetrated Discord’s very soul making his attention dart to the source of it: Spike.

Spike stared at the ceilings and had both hands raised upwards as he laughed. Once done with it he lowered his head and hands and turned around to look at Discord. “I must thank you,” he began still with the smile on his face. “Because of you I have been set free. But unfortunately, I can’t let you live.”

After saying this, Spike’s body began to change. His bones cracked and squeaked as they prolonged themselves, his muscles expanded with a sickening sound. His short legs and stubby arms grew to the size of columns, his cylindrical torso expanded to the sides becoming wider than a wall, his round head grew forward turning his small snout into a long and solid mouth and changing its form to a more angular one.

His round and soft eyes became narrow and sharp, the spikes that grew from the top of his head all the way down to his now long tail grew taller and gained a sharp point at their end, and finally the grey scales changed their color to a solid ebony, darker than a starless night sky.

Discord’s breathing became heavy as the suffocating feeling intensified. And as he stared at the mighty dragon that towered over him, Discord realized what that feeling was.

It was fear.

I’m- I’m scared? No! I’m Discord! I’m a god! Immortal! Untouchable! Nothing can harm m-”

Discord’s thoughts were interrupted by Spike’s fist connecting with his muzzle, the force of the punch making him crash through the library’s wooden wall sending him spinning through the air before crashing down on a cart that was filled with pumpkins.

Discord laid in the cart with his body covered in pumpkin juice. After regaining his senses, he felt a strange feeling on his muzzle. Wiping it with his lion paw he noticed a red mark on it. A mark that reminded him of something that he hadn’t seen in a long time.

This… this is blood. He made me bleed! Who is this guy?!

Spike moved his large body through the hole that Discord made on the wall, his muscle destroying the rest of the wall that surrounded it. Out of the library, Spike took a deep breath before starting to warm himself up, his gaze never leaving the cart where Discord was.

“Come on! I know you’re not dead!” Spike said finishing his warm-up. “Get up and face me. Is not everyday that you have the chance of killing a god.” A wide grin appeared on Spike’s face as he finished his sentence. The images of Discord’s mangled body filled his body and soul with even more hunger.

Discord could not believe what he was hearing. This... kid wanted to kill him. If he hadn’t just flown a couple of meters through the air, he would certainly laugh at such idea. But as it stood if he wanted to survive he would have to do something he hadn’t done in a long time.

He would have to get serious.

Discord effortless levitated himself from the cart as if the air itself was lifting him up. He continued to ascend until he was high on the sky, the fear he once felt was now completely gone, his mind filled with only one thought and desire. Let’s teach this little punk not to mess with those that are older than him.

“So you want a fight, eh kiddo?” Discord said to Spike, his voice booming down on all of Ponyville.

“But of course!” Spike responded completely unfazed by Discord’s exhibit of power. “What fun is there on killing someone if they don’t fight back!?”

“Then, if it’s a fight that you want, then it’s a fight you’re going to get!”

Discord raised his arms up in the air, the remains of the pumpkins followed his motion and rose up to him in a long stream. Using his arms as if their were batons he conducted the stream across the sky as more and more portions of it united to recreate the pumpkins.

Spike smirked at this. “That’s your plan? Pumpkins?”

“Oh, but these pumpkins are special.” Discord floated one of them to him and turned it around revealing his own face carved on its surface. “They are fun pumpkins,” he finished giving a wicked grin.

Then, with a swing of his right arm, the pumpkins flew towards Spike. Without bothering to move a inch Spike stood his ground and the moment the first pumpkin got close enough he sliced in half with the edge of his hand. But instead of falling to the ground or releasing drops of juice the pumpkin flashed brightly before exploding, consuming Spike in its fiery death.

Following closer was all the others pumpkins that rained down where Spike was, a loud and powerful explosion coming shortly after they had reach their target.

“Ah hahahaha! The old exploding pumpkin trick! It never gets old!” Discord wiped a tear from his eye and looked down at the smoking crater where Spike once stood. “Hey kid! Still alive?!” Spike’s response was a fireball flying through the smoke and going directly for Discord.

“Oh please,” Discord said, rolling his eyes. “I thought you would be more creative than this.” Without bothering to dodge he snapped his fingers, wanting to turn the threat into a simple flower pot.

The fireball however continued to fly into his direction.

Noticing this, Discord frantically snapped his finger trying to turn the fireball into something harmless, but to no avail. “Oh, shi-” was all he was able to say before getting hit by it, the magical fire burning the fur and flesh of his chest and creating a foul smell that burned Discord’s nostrils and throat. “Ahhhhgggggg!!” he screamed loud enough to be heard all over Ponyville.

Okay, his fire is magical, which means it can’t be transformed. Next time dodge, he thought after regaining his composure.

“That was good.”

Turning to the source of the voice, Discord found Spike standing a few meters away from him. As he looked at him he noticed that his wounded body was covered in a mix of dust and blood, but what really grabbed his attention was that he was floating. In mid air. With no wings.

“... How are you doing that?” Discord asked in a flat tone.

“What? As if something as weak as gravity would be able to hold me back. Now that you don’t have the advantage of being far from my reach the real fun can begin.”

They stared intensely at each other, their eyes analyzing every little detail about their enemy and their minds filled with thoughts on how to most effectively destroy each other.

This is how I will kill him! they both thought at the same time.

“Let’s go!”

Spike charged forward with both of his fists covered in a dark fire, his jaw hanging open with drool dripping from his fangs, the mere thought of his claws impaling Discord’s flesh feeling him with excitement!

In response, Discord made a circular motion with one of his arms materializing five giant red candy canes in front of him, each with a sharp point at their ends. “Go!” Discord yelled, sending all of them towards Spike. Without even stopping to think, Spike pressed forward and consequently had his body impaled by the deadly candy, one on each limb with the last one traversing through his midsection.

A loud sound left Spike’s mouth, but instead of being the hurtful scream that Discord wanted it was only one word, a word that preceded Spike spearing his right hand through Discord’s body. “USELESS!!

The fire boiled the blood and cauterized the wound almost instantly, but instead of screaming in pain Discord smiled. “I now have you exactly where I wanted!” With a snap of his finger, the sharp end of the candy canes began to emit a strong fire that quickly propelled both of them towards the ground.

As they approached their doom neither tried to stop it, instead they used their close range to continued to fight each other exchanging blows with their free hands and even using their mouths to try to bite each other’s necks off. And as they fell the only thing that left their mouths was the sound of laughter.

“Ah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!”

The impact of the fall shook the earth and destroyed all the nearby windows with its shockwave. A cloud of smoke surrounded where they had fallen, and inside it two figures were seen moving about.

Discord got up from the ground and breathing heavily he looked around for his enemy. Once the dust began to clear he recognized the dragon’s silhouette in the distance, and the clear image of his opponent caused a long forgotten fire to burn anew on Discord’s soul.

Soaked in blood, both from the crash and the wounds made by the candy canes, Spike stood tall. His body enveloped in his dark fire that vaporized the blood, melted the canes, and cauterized the wounds. And while that happened he never once stopped smiling.

Staring at the scene before him made the fire inside Discord burn more and more. How long has it been, he thought, Since I last fought like this? This burning feeling of facing against someone as strong as you, where one wrong move can mean your death. Discord could feel and taste the blood that flooded his throat. A feeling so strong it’s capable of creating ripples in someone's mind. And just like Spike, a smile formed on Discord’s face. Yeeeesssss, I’m back. Back to how I used to beeeeee.

Spike charged forward, on each hand a double-sided axe made out of his dark fire. Discord raised both of his hands into the air and then two houses that where close sprouted skeletal legs and arms and went for Spike.

Spike slashed the legs of one of them, making it fall to the ground, without wasting time he jumped into the air and then planted both axes on the back of the fallen house. The fire that formed the weapons leaked inside it through the wounds, destroying the house inside out until it exploded into smithereens that were quickly turn into ashes by the remaining flames.

Creeping from behind, the other house grabbed Spike and holded him in front of it. Splitting in half, the house revealed a mouth full of sharp stone teeth. Without giving Spike any time to breath the house tossed him onto its mouth, and as it chew its teeth cut and pierced his scales and flesh, the blood painting the teeth red.

Even in such predicament Spike didn’t lost his cool. Coming up with an idea, he concentrated all the fire he could on his mouth and then he released it. Outside, cracks appeared on the house’s surface, cracks that had a black fire coming from them. More and more cracks appeared until it exploded leaving a bleeding Spike standing in mid air.

“Is that all you got?!”

“No. I also got this.” And at that moment, two giant and swollen maggots sprouted out of the ground and charged at Spike. Using his claws, Spike launched waves of razor fire towards them. The fire easily cut through their flesh as if it’s butter. But then the unexpected occurred, the worms’ heads butchered open and from the bloody fissure, dozen of piranhas and squirrels jumped at Spike.

“What.” Was all that Spike could say before getting swarmed by the hellish critters, their sharp and hard as diamond fangs piercing his scales and sinking into his flesh. But before he could do anything about them, Spike felt something tugging his limbs and neck. Tilting his head to look at his right arm, he saw a rope made out of wood shards gripping his right pulse. Then, with extreme force, the ropes pushed him downwards making him hit the ground with his back.

He tried to break free, but the ropes were so strong that he was only able to raise his arms a few centimeters from the ground, and even then the moment he let go the rope would once again pin his arm on the ground. And before he could burn them along side the animals that still were feasting on his flesh he looked upwards and saw two houses that were floating by Discord’s side.

Letting out a sly smile, Discord sent the two houses crashing down on Spike. Once they had hit him they broke down in thousand of debris that killed all the animals, spreading their guts and blood through Spike’s body, and crushed the dragon. The debris crushed Spike pinning him to the ground, he tried to move his arms and legs but the debris had also completely immobilized him, even breathing became hard for him.

This is nothing! I’ll just burn everything into ashes! But before he could so, through the small spaces between planks and stones, Spike saw something in the sky.

Tearing the sky and clouds apart, a giant flaming meteor descended from the heavens. And as it did so Discord continued to smile slyly. “I was thinking about throwing the moon at you, but the collateral damage would be so great that wouldn’t be any Equestria left for me to rule.”

Spike struggled more and more as the meteor got closer and closer. He had already began to gather his power in order to burn the debris, but the meteor was descending with such speed that there wasn’t enough time for Spike to burn everything. But then, just a mere seconds before the impact, Spike felt something fill his body. Something that caused him to grin like a madman, even in the face of such impending doom.

When the meteor hit the ground, the impact created an enormous shock wave that shook the entirety of Ponyville and sent flying anything that wasn’t bolted to ground and even some things that were.

“You tried, kid, you really did. But in the end you just didn’t had what it takes to fight a god,” Discord said as he put a cap that he had summoned over his chest in a gesture of condolence.

“Really?”

Recognising the voice, Discord turned around and his eyes widen in surprise when he saw Spike, still covered in blood and guts but not nearly as wounded as he should be. As if the meteor hasn’t even hit him.

Before Discord could process what was happening, Spike elbowed Discord’s head and sent him crashing into the ground. Spike opened one of his hands and in it a fireball appeared, then he launched the fireball up into the sky and just a mere seconds after dozen of fireballs rained fiery death into the crevice where Discord was.

Discord growled in pain as his fur and flesh burned with each contact the fireballs made with him. After the assault finished, he looked up at Spike with disbelief and confusion in his eyes. “You! How did you survived that?! You were suppose to be dead!”

“Death? Death is meaningless to me! For I have ascended mortality, transcended death! I’m now the God of Destruction, The Eternal Fire! Nothing can stand in my way, and so the whole world will burn around me.”

“Now, let me show you exactly what I can do.” Spike took a deep breath. Thinking he was preparing to send another fiery attack at him, Discord prepared himself to teleport away. But before he could do so, Spike said a single word.

CUT!

A wave of energy enveloped not only Ponyville, or even just Equestria, but it covered the entire world and possibly even the entire universe in its power. Power that stopped all the creatures, all the natural phenomenons, the microscopic molecules of air, and even time itself.

In this halted world the only one capable of moving was Spike, who took this opportunity and flew towards Discord with a raised fist. And just before the time stop ended, Spike’s fist was just a few centimeters away from Discord’s face.

“Time continues,” he said as everything began to move again. And before Discord could understand what had happened Spike’s fist met his face sending his head down on the ground with such force that cracked it.

As he stared at his down opponent Spike could feel the power flowing through his veins and flooding his every muscle and bones bringing a wide grin to his face. “Hahahahahahahahahahaha! I feel spectacular! I have eaten some fine gems and even got kissed by Rarity, but I have never felt this good before! THIS IS REALLY AWESOME!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!”

While Spike indulged in his new power, Discord took the time to analyze the situation and try to understand what had just happened.

He appeared out of nowhere, just like last time. But how did he do it? Could it be teleportation? Nah, it was too instantaneous to be it, and even if it was, I would have noticed the use of magic. Come on, think! One moment he was meters up in the sky and in the next he was right in front of me, as if, as if no time had passed between each moment.

Discord’s eyes widened as the realization of what Spike’s power was struck him like lighting. He can stop time. The kid can stop time! Who is he?! Forget it, my priority now is to figure it out the limitations of his power. And I think I just have the right way to do so…

Spike was so filled with delight from his new found power, and his mind filled with so many thoughts of all the things he could do with it, that he didn’t noticed Discord fiddling his hand, or the ground suddenly changing its constitution until it was too late, and he sunk into what once was solid ground.

Spike looked around and found himself surrounded by what felt like water. In fact, dozen of fish and others sea creatures swum by and around him.

Before he could process what was happening, dozen of tentacles enveloped his body in a tight grip. Turning around he saw himself face to face with a giant squid.

Spike snickered with amusement I don’t even need the time stop to deal with this. He then punched right through the squid’s head, and using his hand he released fire inside of it until it became stuffed with his flames and then exploded into million pieces that spreaded guts and blood into the water.

Spike took a moment to appreciate his work, but then he heard a slow clap and turning around he saw Discord a few feet away from him. Spike was ready to attack Discord, but then a great-white shark appeared out of nowhere and charged towards Spike with its jaw hanging open, ready to munch the dragon. Using his claws, he held the shark’s jaw wide open. And then he started to force its jaw open, until he ripped the shark in half painting the water in blood and intestines.

Done with that, Spike returned his attention to Discord. “Now that the distractions are out of the way, CUT!” With time stopped once again Spike launched dozen of fire spears at Discord, their fire burning so hot that not even the water that surrounded them could extinguish them. They flew through a few meters before coming to a complete stop just a mere centimeters away from Discord’s body.

“And time moves on.”

Without having time to even think, the fire pierced Discord’s body. Spike rejoiced in the horrible screams that left Discord’s mouth, but his rejoicing was cut short when suddenly dozen of swordfish speared their noses through his back, one of them even traversing through his throat.

Spike looked at Discord, who had stopped screaming, and in his face he saw a big smile. “You clever bastard,” Spike said, smiling back, before vaporizing the swordfish that were planted into his back.

Then they both charged at each other with hunger in their eyes. Once they clashed they began exchange blows. With his fists on fire, Spike struck and burned Discord’s face and body. Discord, meanwhile, attacked Spike with two rolling pins that broke and crushed his bones with each strike. The pain went unnoticed to both of them, for the ecstasy of battle was the only thing filling their body and soul.

The fight continued until Discord hit Spike’s lower jaw, dislocating it. In response Spike landed an uppercut on his torso sending him flying upwards back to the surface. But before leaving, Discord wrapped a magic rope on Spike’s neck making him follow the draconequus to the surface.

Once out of the water they continued to ascend until they were high on the sky. With a twist of his body, Discord changed the direction of the force back down, and, making the rope disappear, he caused Spike to fall back to the ocean. But before he hit the water, Discord changed the place where he would fall back to solid ground.

As he fell, Spike didn’t tried to stop the fall or even brace for it. Instead he put his jaw back into place with his right hand and then opened his mouth, and from there a giant dark fireball was launched at Discord.

Having learned his lesson from last time, Discord teleported upwards away from its trajectory. But to his surprise the fireball transformed itself on a fiery boar that ascend to him on a spiral, and before he could teleport away the boar opened its dark jaws and closed then on Discord’s neck, shredding and burning his flesh.

A growl of pain left Discord’s mouth as the boar vanished into the air and Spike gave a big grin, flooding with satisfaction.

A loud sound proceeded Spike crashing into the ground that Discord had made harder than diamonds, a sound that drowned all the lower ones that announced the dozen of bones that were broken with the crash.

Even with that unexpected attack, now it was Discord’s time to look at his down opponent. But before he could boast about his victory in the blink of an eye Spike disappeared from where he was. Deducing that he had used the time stop, Discord searched around for any sign of the dragon, but then a enormous shadow covered him causing him to look up to see what the source of the shadow was.

Descending from above was a blue whale, its titanic body covered in a dark fire and atop of it was Spike who was riding the giant animal all the way down at Discord.

“What.” Was all that Discord could say before getting whacked by the flaming whale. Feeling his living weapon connect with Discord, Spike headbutted the whale with such force that sent it, and Discord, crashing into the ocean with an incredibly speed.

“And now the coup-de-grâce!” With a snap of his fingers the whale exploded into a gargantuan ball of fire, creating a shockwave so great that caused most of the water to fly up in the air into a giant geyser.

Spike waited patiently for Discord to emerge from the sea. As if something as weak as that would be able to kill him.

As an announcement that he was still alive, clouds dark as lead covered the sky and from them narwhals began to fall like rain. And as soon as the creatures meet the air they burst into flames, making them rain like fire arrows through the land.

Discord slowly emerged from the ocean, his body completely scorched and burned by the explosion. Once they were face to face again they both looked at each other bodies and how wounded both of them were, and they couldn’t help but laugh serenely at the situation.

“I thought you were just a kid,” Discord said, “but I have to give it to you boy: It’s been a long time since I had this much fun.”

“And I have to thank you, Discord, for putting up such amazing fight. This was a blast,” Spike replied with a big grin.

“Yeah, it was wasn’t? But before we finish this there’s something I must ask: after everything I threw at you, dragon or not, you should be dead, aren’t you feeling even the slightest amount of pain?”

“I thought I told you this before, death is meaningless to me.”

“I see...” Everything makes sense now, he wasn’t kidding earlier. Slow but surely he is ascending to godhood. If I don’t finish this now I don’t think I can take him on if he completely masters that power of his. “So, shall we finish this?”

“Yes, but before we go, no hard feelings?”

“No hard feelings.”

They stared at each other for a few moments, taking every small detail of their bodies, every wound that plagued their battle torn body, every opening that could be exploited, every possible movement that could be made.

During the moments that passed, Discord noticed a familiar feeling covering his body. Lifting his arm to his eyes he saw small smoke trails leaving his fur, as if they were slowing being burned. Using his peripheral vision, Discord took a look at their surroundings and what he saw left him speechless.

Not only the burning narwhals continued to fall, but now all the houses that surrounded them were completely enveloped in a dark fire, even the ocean below boiled killing and reducing to ashes all the creatures that once swam on its waters. And after taking a deep breath that burned the inside of his throat, Discord realized that even the air itself was being set on fire. Which combined with the fire that surrounded and rained down on them and the water that boiled below created a living inferno with no escape.

Discord returned his attention to Spike, and what he saw was him with a wide grin that displayed all of his fang that shined with the drool that dripped from them. He’s burning everything! Even reality itself is burning in his presence! Calling this kid a natural disaster would be an understatement! Discord thought, genuinely amazed and impressed at Spike’s destructive power.

Putting those thoughts aside, Discord concentrated on finding a way to beat him before things got out of hand. They once again analyzed each other, trying to come up with the most efficient way to destroy one another and waiting for the right moment to strike. And after spending a few seconds like this both of them already had their next move, their final move, planned.

CUT!” Spike said, making the first move. With time stopped Spike moved towards Discord, but instead of attacking him in the front he moved behind him and then pierced Discord’s chest with his right arm.

Once time resumed Discord found himself impaled in Spike’s arm, the sudden pain turning his mind blank for a mere seconds. Enough time for Spike’s next attack.

“Now that you have no escape, fill my ears with your delightful screams!” With incredible speed, Spike moved his open left hand in a horizontal line towards Discord’s neck, wanting to decapitate the draconequus with the edge of his hand.

But before his hand could slice through the neck’s soft flesh Discord regained consciousness, and summoned a stop sign in the middle of its trajectory. Colliding with the sign the hand sliced it in half with minimal effort, but while at first that seemed like an useless effort it gave enough time for Discord to duck his head avoiding the decapitation.

Using Spike’s arm as an axis, Discord spun himself upside down, and making use of the chaotic structure of his body he turned himself one-hundred-eighty degrees, facing Spike. “As if I wanted to escape! This is exactly where I want to be!” Using his arms and legs he trapped Spike into a tight grapple that not even his draconian strength could free him from.

“What do you think you’re doing?!” Spike asked as he struggled inside Discord’s grasp.

“I know your power’s secret, why you didn’t just spam the time stop to counter anything that I thrown at you! Is because you can’t. There’s a gap of time between each time stop, and it’s on that gap that I will finish you!”

From seemingly nowhere, a jet pack appeared on Discord’s back. The bright chrome that covered its surface shining even without any sun and the two thrusters wider than even Spike. Without losing any time, the thrusters released their power in the form of two columns of white fire that sended both gods high into sky. Following them was the sound created by the thrusters, sound that resembled the bowels of hell itself trembling and exploding with the release of its infernal molten lava.

“Do you really think I’m just gonna let you do as you please!?” Spike yelled, his voice drowning even the mighty sound of the jet pack.

Dark flames began to surrounded Spike’s body and burn Discord’s, but even when meet with such pain and resistance his grip didn’t falter, instead it became even stronger. Noticing that, Spike enveloped Discord’s neck with his muscular tail. “I will pop your head right off!” he said, tightening the grip.

It took less than half a second for them to pass through the clouds and reach the open sky. Reaching the wanted height, Discord moved his body slightly causing the powerful thrusters to create an arc on the sky that changed their positions: now Spike was the one upside down, with his head pointing directly towards the ground.

Letting out a victorious grin Discord said. “Now it’s time for the finisher move!” In cue the thrusters were obliterated by the jet pack releasing all of its power all at once! This created a sonic boom of such magnitude that it wiped out all clouds and even the blue sky itself revealing the black vacuum of space and the stars that covered it.

As they fell faster than sound itself, only one sound was heard, a sound stronger than even their powers combined. A sound that was filled with the joy and triumph of the God of Chaos.

PILEDRIVER!!

With the power equivalent of an atom bomb Spike dived head first into the meteor. But not even the massive hunk of space stone was able to stop their descend as they crashed right through its insides. Finally reaching the ground, the energy released by the impact reduced the entire meteor into mere particles of dust.

Where once the meteor was, now there was only a giant crater with two creatures resting on it.

Discord slowly got up from the diamond ground and looked around in search of Spike who he found laying on the ground just a few meters away from him.

Discord stared at Spike’s down body, waiting for the attack that never came. Realising that the dragon was down for good, Discord gave a sigh of relief and them fell to his hunches.

“So you’re finally down. Damn, you took a lot of punishment.”

Discord got up and walked towards Spike, he then put of his fingers on top of his head. “Now that you’re unconscious, I can do this without worrying about losing my head.” Spike’s natural colors returned to his body and with them his body shrunk back to his normal size.

“As a token of my appreciation for the fun that we had, I’m gonna let you go scot free. Heck, I’m even gonna fix your house for you!” With a snap of his fingers, the damaged library returned to its normal state and Spike was teleported back to it. “Well I think chaos was delayed for enough time! Time to go back to work!” Discord began to levitate, but before he returned to his glorious chaos he gave one last look at the library and smiled.

Heh, that was pretty fun.
