"Well, I want to ask Sombra what he thinks," Twilight said as all of her friends gasped. She held up a hoof to cut every one off in the room. "Is that possible?" she asked as she glanced at the two princess.

Celestia glanced at Luna. "No," she said as she frowned. Celestia pushed out her bottom lip. "No," she repeated as she turned away. Celestia suddenly appeared in the air, looking at her sister with a quivering lip and big watery eyes. "Fine," she said with a sigh of defeat.

"Yay," Celestia said with a celebratory hoof pump. She suddenly looked down at Twilight before she landed, clearly a little flush with embarrassment. "Anyway, with Luna to guide the way, we need a little colt to head to bed," she said with a very calm smile.

"Um, Princess Luna, does she always do that?" Twilight asked in a low voice.

"More than you know," Luna said with a huff.

"Now then I think it is time for bed," Celestia said as she levitated the white colt off the ground. He tried running and squirming but Celestia didn't even seem to notice his antics. She walked up the stairs with the Sombra colt running but getting nowhere.

Twilight watched as Celestia tucked him into Spikes basket and he was out like a light. "Now then, Luna if you would be so kind," she said as she glanced at her sister. Rarity and Fluttershy peeked into the room from afar.

"Now then, we going to enter into his dreams and we should be able to talk to him fairly easy, I think," she admitted as she put a hoof to her chin.

"Shall we?" asked Twilight. Luna's eyes glowed a bright white and then suddenly the three were in a white space. Twilight looked around, she couldn't tell where the ceiling ended and the floor started.

"Well that was unpleasant," said a familiar voice. Sombra suddenly appeared behind them, They all spun around. "Luna, how unexpected," he said.

"How nice to see you as well," Luna said, in a voice as cold as ice.

"I take it something happened after I was gone. Even during our final fight, you still had some compassion for me," he replied. "And this would be a dream, so I am guessing there is a monkey wrench in the situation. Damn monkeys, always inventing things they don't understand," he growled the last part to himself.

"Not so much an issue," Celestia started, only for Luna to cut her off.

"Twilight likes the new you better than the current you," Luna said as she glared at him. Sombra glanced at Twilight.

"Well, we can make the change permanent," she said as she looked the Shadow King in the eye.

"Ah, so we have a hostage situation?" he asked, his eyes narrowing,

"No it's not like that."

"You think you can waltz in here, and force my secrets out, sorry it doesn't work that way!" he shouted as he started to stomp toward Twilight, who was quickly back pedaling. Celestia took a step to the side as she glared down at her former student.

"I wanted to ask you what you wanted," Twilight said in a low whisper. Sombra stopped dead in his tracks.

"Excuse me?" Sombra asked as Twilight moved around Celestia.

"You said you didn't see a way out, so here it is. I want to know, do you want to get a fresh start or be cured?" she asked.

He blinked as he suddenly sat down on with a low thump. "Ah!" he suddenly screamed as a cloud of black smoke suddenly started seeping out above them.. The smoke seemed like long fingers as they grabbed onto Sombra. The black mist around his eyes returned as he fell to the ground twitching.

"Sombra!" Twilight shouted.

"My student!" Celestia said in a panic.

"Mentor!" Luna screamed, her shell snapping.

"Host, make it permanent, I want a new beginning. I hate who I am with a passion you, couldn't, comprehend," he grunted out. "Stay away from that door, the rabbit whole runs- DEEP."

"This will scatter your mind, this isn't something you'll ever recover from, its," Celestia started.

"I know, I know, But in the end, we always kinda knew it would end in death. At least I can live on. Just don't let me be a wimp, okay?" he said, mustering up the best smile he could.

"I understand," Celestia said as her form vanished.

"You didn't chose this, did you?" asked Luna as she looked down at him twitching in pain.

"I felt I didn't have one. I do know, always ere on the side of caution, but don't let those negative feelings control you. That was my last lesson for you. But I never got the chance to teach you its meaning. Don't forget who I was," he said, squirming in pain.

Luna soon vanished as Twilight looked down at him, her body fading away from the dream. "Anything you want to say?"

"Nope," he said with a coy grin, "But to be honest, I really wanted to turn you evil, I wanted to know who was the better student, Guess you won," he admitted as he closed his eyes.

"And yet I learned more from you than the other way around," Twilight said before vanishing.

Twilight blinked and she was back in her room with the small colt thrashing in the basket. Luna and Celestia nodded at each other as they let their horn's glow. They sent a small beam at the colt as he suddenly started to calm and before long went back to a fitless sleep.

"Tis done," Luna said as she glanced at her sister. "Now I shall be off. If anything comes up, let me know if i can help," she said as she made her way to the door.

"Luna, what changed him doesn't mean all the pain will just go away. You can always come talk to me," Celestia offered as Rarity and Fluttershy glanced at each other, confused.

"So where is he staying at?" Fluttershy asked as everyone stopped and starred at each other.

"Buck, I forgot to ask how to get this damn collar off!" Twilight realized as Luna suddenly slapped her own face. "Oh crap," she groaned as she glanced back at Sombra.

Sombra stood up as he suddenly found a small new visitor.

"Who are you?" he asked. Sombra didn't say anything as he looked at the colt.

"Better than the old color," he muttered to himself, "Word of advice, don't worry to much. If you do, it will just get you into trouble," he said as he, like the mares before him, started to vanish. "I am not sure how much you will remember of me, if anything at all!" he called out before he seemed to be absorbed into the colt's shadow. Sombra closed his eyes as the black magic followed him into the shadow. "I win," he said before the stallion known as Sombra vanished.

"Who am I?" the colt asked as he looked at his shadow in confusion but received no answer.
