When Princess Twilight was killed she left behind her young Daughter, Harmony. Prince Galleon Disappeared. Princess Celestia took the foal and started raising her as her own.
A short time after Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince Galleon were married, Twilight conceived and Delivered a little alicorn Filly. The two named her Harmony after the Elements of Harmony. A few weeks after Harmony's Birth Twilight and Galleon went missing, Twilight was found dead in the everfree forest her wings broken and royal attire shattered around her body. After weeks of Searching Galleon still wasnt found, and it was assumed he had come to the same fate. Celestia took in the young filly and raised her as her own, after Twilights death her friends decided to move to Canterlot and with them came their families and their foals, Harmony quickly befriended them.
Now Harmony is being mentored by both Celestia and Luna, and as thought she is more powerful then both her parents combined, its starting to show, but with it comes the threats on her life and the lives of the ones she hold dear.
Harmony has a younger sister that she has no idea exists. Night Wish but the younger alicorn wasnt so lucky, she is being raised by the Vilan that is trying to take her sister from Canterlot.
The castle halls were empty, a few guards past every so often but other than that, they were empty, quiet, and dark, there was the familiar sound of the two Princesses in late night conversations and debates but they were always quiet and hushed making the conversation sound like mumbo gumbo that no one could understand, no one but them.
Harmony slipped out of her room, she was scared of the dark, a filly at school told her that at night time no pony was safe, that monsters only come out when the sun is down. She quickly scampered down the hall stopping infront of the large door that opened to her mothers room, there was the soft flickering of a candle light that could be seen from under the small crack at the bottom of the door, the whispers of the two Princesses were hushed after Celestia said that someone was at the door.
Celestia opened the door and looked down at the little filly. "Harmony? What are you doing out of bed, its late, you should be asleep."
"I had a nightmare." She replied clearly frightened.
Celestia smiled at the small filly. "There is nothing to be afraid of little one, it was just a bad dream. But if it makes you feel better you can sleep in my room tonight."
Harmony's face brightened up, she trotted into the room and sat down on her mothers bed soon joined by Celestia. She closed her eyes and when Celestia thought she was alseep she slowly started to get up.
"Dont go." Harmony said opening her eyes. "A filly at school told me that monsters only come out at night when the sun is down." She looked at her mother. "Can you raise the sun for me so the monsters dont get me."
Celestia smiled a little. "Its late at night Harmony, the sun isnt due for many more hours, there is nothing to be afraid of." Celestia began to get up again.
"No! Pleeease, please stay Momma, your the sun, the filly said the monsters wouldnt come if the sun was out."
Celestia put her wing over the filly. "Thats right Harmony, I am the sun. I will stay and protect you." Celestia looked at her. "As long as I am here nothing will ever hurt you."
"Promise?" Harmony asked with a yawn.
"I promise my little filly." Celestia nuzzled her gently. "I wont let anything hurt you."
Luna smiled a little heading for the door. "Goodnight Tia."
Celestia looked at her sister. "Luna, you can stay the night to. If you wish." Celestia moved over a little so that there was room for Luna on her other side.
Luna smiled laying down beside her sister. "Goodnight Tia." She yawned laying her head down and closing her eyes.
"Goodnight Luna." Celestia replied pulling the blanket up over Luna, Herself, and Harmony. "Sweet dreams." She laid her head down drifting to sleep.
Harmony opened her book looking over at Celestia and Luna making sure they were still asleep. Aha! The teleportation spell! If I learn this before Momma wakes up to raise the sun, I can surprise her! The small filly started working on the spell and by the time Celestia awoke to raise the sun she had learned it and was able to do it in the blink of an eye. She sat down with her book infront of her looking at her mother waiting for her to fully wake and notice she wasn't still sleeping beside her.
"Harmony?" Celestia asked standing up. "What are you doing out of bed? Its early a little filly like you should still be asleep."
"I wanted to surprise you for mothers day!" She smiled at her mother going over and rubbing up against her leg. "Watch!"
"I'm watching." Celestia smiled at her.
Harmony squeezed her eyes closed and in a flash she disappeared from her spot and reappeared on her mothers back. "I woke up extra early to learn the spell, so I could surprise you and make you happy!"
"Well done!" She smiled at the filly on her back. "I Need to raise the sun now."
"Can I watch Momma? I never get to because I'm asleep." Harmony jumped down from her Mothers back.
"Speaking of sleeping." Celestia looked over at Luna who was still passed out on her bed. "Your Aunt Luna is Still asleep."
"Do you want me to wake her so she can lower the moon?" Harmony asked.
"No, let her sleep, she has had many late nights keeping the nightmares from you. I can lower the moon." Celestia's horn began to glow and the moon began to lower and the sun began to rise, in a few short minutes the sun was out and the moon was gone.
"That was amazing!" Harmony yawned.
"Lets get you back to bed, school isn't for another few hours." Celestia brought the filly back over to her bed and settled her down beside Luna.
"Your coming with me to school today, right? For the mothers day Celebration."
"Of coarse I am Harmony, now get some more sleep." Celestia tucked the blanket under the filly before walking out onto the balcony.
"Time for school." Celestia woke the sleeping filly. "We dont want to be late for the celebration now do we?"
"Nope." Harmony got out of the bed, she looked back at her Aunt Luna who was still asleep. "Momma, Aunt Luna is still asleep."
"I left her a note. Besides, she knows I'm going to school with you today. Let her sleep, she deserves it." Celestia herded the lively filly out of the room closing the door quietly behind her, the two walked down to the dining room where they were served breakfast.
"All done!" Harmony announced getting down from her seat and putting her saddle bag on. "Come on! Lets go!" She galloped to the door and charged out.
"Be careful Harmony, your going a little fast." Celestia called to the Filly who was dashing around. She eventually returned to her side.
"Why is everypony bowing their heads when we walk by?" Harmony asked. "It happens every day on the way to school."
"Because Harmony, we are Princesses, it is just respectful." Celestia replied as they walked into the school.
"Howdy Winter!" AppleTwist and AppleDew said at the same time popping up from behind Apple Jack.
"Howdy Princess!" Apple Jack said to Princess Celestia, every pony's heads turned to face the Princess.
"Welcome Princess." The Teacher said. "Princess Harmony, would you like to show your mother your desk?"
"You can just call me Harmony." WinterMagic said to the teacher. "This way Momma." The Filly said leading Celestia over to the front row desk of the fourth row. "This is my Desk!"
"Its very nice." Celestia smiled looking at the nicely decorated desk.
For the whole day the Foals and their mother played games did crafts and told stories, by the time it was time to go home Both Celestia and WinterMagic were exhausted.
"Did you have fun momma?" Harmony asked as they walked back to the castle.
"Yes, it was very enjoyable." Celestia replied as they walked into the castle, two of the guards approached them.
"Princess Celestia and Princess Harmony." On said bowing a little.
"Princess Celestia." The other adressed Celestia. "Princess Luna still hasn't awoken."
Celestia looked at them. "Thats odd. She is usually always awake by now, no matter how tired she is." Celestia and Harmony walked down to Celestia's room and opened the door walking in. Celestia walked over to the bed and found a note by Luna under the Covers.
It read:
"Dear Celestia, I'm sure by now you are wondering why your dear sister hasn't woken from her slumber. Well, lets just say its a little spell, she grows weaker by the hour, If my calculations are right, she has three days before her powers are drained and she grows ill, about an hour after she grows ill she will pass away. Now, you can try to solve the counter-spell in three days, the question is are you smart enough to do it. Or you can make it easy and give us the young Princess Harmony and we will list the spell. Choose wisely. The Shadows."
Celestia looked at Luna then at Harmony.
"Whats wrong with her Momma?" She asked.
"She's under a spell, we need to get to the library we only have three days!" Celestia rushed out of the room followed by the confused Filly.
"Three days to do what?"
"To save her!" Celestia replied.
Harmony stopped dead in her tracks She's dieing...The thought sent chills down her spine but at the same time motivated her to help her mother find the cure.
Celestia stopped in the Library. "Go to your room Harmony, we will be having guests tonight, your friends will be over."
"Okay but I want to help." Harmony said.
"You will help, bu for now you need to go to your room."
"Okay." Harmony walked down to her room and sat on her bed, waiting, and watching for anything to happen.
"Three day's is a very specific number, dont you think Princess?" Rainbow Dash asked hovering above one of the books.
"You can never be to specific when it comes to spells Rainbow Dash, its harder for a Pegasi to understand then it use for a Unicorn.
"How did they get past the guards to cast the spell on Luna?" Rarity inquired confused on how they even got into the castle.
"An old friend of mine, Stardust, mastered the spells of invisibility, though it was thought to be impossible it was her talent, she was gifted at being unseen a master of disguise, not even I could master the spells. The power got to her and corrupted her, she lost the sight of what was good and what was bad. She tried to take the throne by force, Luna and I stopped her, banishing her to the ever free forest. She changed her name to Shadow, and bent on revenge started gathering followers, Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth ponies alike, teaching them how to go unseen, they couldn't master the invisibility spells of coarse, but they are very stealthy, they can get past even the best guards with ease."
"Why in the hay would they target Princess Luna to get little Harmony?" Apple Jack asked stomping her hoof.
"Because." Celestia lowered her voice. "She is Twilight and Galleon's only born, both of them were very powerful. Almost every pony believes she is more powerful then the two combined, its starting to show, she mastered a teleportation spell in a matter of hours. If she were to fall into the wrong hands and be corrupted, Equestria would fall." Celestia flipped through the pages of a book. "I believe the only way to bring Luna out of the spell is to use the Elements of Harmony; But with Twilight dead one of the elements is missing."
"What about Harmony, her mother was the Element of Magic, what if she is now...because Twilight passed." Rarity suggested.
"I thought of that to, but Harmony is young, she cant control her magic as well as Twilight was able to, I dont know if she would be able to keep it stable. If she cant it will become un-stable possibly destroying her, Luna, and there is a small chance it will destroy the five of you as well. We will have to try a smaller spell that wont cause any harm using the Elements."
"Well Y'all lets go get the Princess." Apple Jack exclaimed.
"No!" Celestia said. "There are hours before the sun rise, let her and her friends sleep."
"But we are running out of time!" Pinkie jumped up. "And if we run out of time then Princess Luna will get sick! And if Princess Luna gets sick she will die and if she dies you will be crushed and the Moon Princess will be gone and if the moon Princess is gone every pony will panic and If every pony panics..." Pinkie's face began to turn red.
"Breath Pinkie Pie." Apple Jack said bluntly.
Pinkie drew in a deep breath. "And if every pony panics then equestria will be in eternal Chaos! Kinda like when Discord was evil and made Chaos accept with out all of the floating buildings and stuff..."
"We still have two days, its a risk we are going to have to take."
Harmony looked around at her friends. "We have to be quiet, guards patrol the halls at night."
"But Harmony, your a princess so they wouldn't get suspicious if you were wandering around." Ember Rose got up and yawned.
"We dont have time to debate it, my aunt is dying and my Mum isn't acting fast enough. I do believe she is right about the elements though...Twilight my other aunt was the element of magic, but since she died there is an element missing, I think you guys are the elements now." Harmony grabbed a parchment and a quill. "Apple Twist or Apple Dew, are the Element of Honesty, Blue Bolt is loyalty, Ember Rose is Generosity, Candy Blast is Laughter, Summer Winds is the element of Kindness."
"But we are still missing the element of Magic." Blue bolt hovered over her friend.
"I think I am the Element of Magic, Twilight might not have been my mother, but who said she had to be." Winter Magic opened her door quietly. "Come on." she whispered, they all made their way down the hall and into the room where the elements were kept, there was a large door at the end of the room, they all walked down to it. "Its locked with a spell only my Mum can break, but Ive heard her talk about it, and I think I know how to do it." Winter Magic started to hover infront of the lock, she put her horn into the lock hole and closed her eyes, after about a minute a bright light blue light began to come from the hole and travel up the cracks like a stream, then the door opened. Winter Magic landed and smiled.
"You just broke a Spell that Princess Celestia put on the door to lock it that only she is suposed to be able to break?" Blue Bolt smiled. "Thats so awesome."
Harmony smiled blushing a little she levitated the Elements out of the smaller room that was behind the door, she opened the trunk. "There they are." She Levitated each one of the elements onto the right pony. "Apple Twist and Apple Dew, Winter Magic looked at the twins, I think Apple Twist is the element of honesty." She put the element of honesty on Apple Twist, she levitated the final element out of the trunk, the element of magic and placed the crow on her own head. "My aunts room it just down the hall, but we have to be really quiet because my Mums room is across from it, though she will probably still be in the library with your parents." She lead her friends down the hall and to Luna's room, she opened the door and quietly they made their way into the room.
"So how are we suposed to wake her up with the elements?" Candy Blast asked a little loudly.
"Candy shhh." Harmony shushed her friend. "I know a spell, I studied them a little while ago with Luna, because she is the Princess of the night she needs to know them all, to bad she cant use it on herself. Now this will take a lot of focus on my part, so no distractions. Everyone circle around Luna." Winter Magic closed her eyes, it took her about five minutes but her element began to glow and so did the others, soon she was levitated in the air and the elements began to shoot rays at Luna, a bright light, brighter than the sun filled the room, and then they all landed all of them were unconscious for a few seconds.
"Did it work?" Ember Rose asked.
"Shh!" Harmony stood up and walked over to Luna.
Candy Blast gasped when Harmony walked by.
"Candy be quiet." Harmony looked at Luna who was starting to stir. "Auntie Luna?" She asked.
Luna slowly opened her eyes. "Harmony? You...Saved me." She stood up. "All of you."
Candy Blast covered her mouth with her hoof, she couldn't hold it any longer. "Winter You got your cutie mark! And your spell saved Princess Luna!"
Harmony looked at her flank Her cutie mark was there. Her cutie mark consisted of seven stars, one was purple with blue, the next to the right was pink with purple, after that one was one that was blue with pink, the next was green with blue, on the left from the giant purple and blue one in the middle was a yellow with green, next to that one was a red with Orange, and the last was Purple with red. "I dont get it." She looked at Luna.
"Your cutie mark represents Magic, but it also represents the elements of Harmony and Harmony itself. Purple which is Magic, Pink Generosity, Blue Laughter, Green Kindness, Yellow or Orange Honesty, Red Loyalty, and again Purple Magic. The stars represent Magic in general, but this also represents Harmony, you see each one of the main stars has a star of a different color in the middle, this represents that without one you cant have the other, and without them all you cant have Harmony."
"I love my cutie mark!" Harmony squealed. "I'm just happy you are alright though." Harmony Hugged her Aunt.
"Whats going on?" Celestia asked coming into the room.
"Look Momma! I got my cutie mark!" Harmony showed celestia her cutie mark. "and My friends and I saved Auntie Luna!"
