This story is a sequel to Farewell, Chrysalis

After wandering for a few years after meeting Chrysalis, the globetrotting stallion takes a detour to Silver Shoals for a quick reprieve from his travels. At the end of his brief respite and before he sets out to explore the domains outside of Equestria, the globetrotting stallion is met with ponies he's known ever since his youth.

Delving back through the depths of time, mysteries abound, uncovering the veiled origins of everything we think we know. Journey back to a world before Equestria was founded, before the dark forest of Everfree blighted the land.

What shaped the land of ponies all those millennia ago? This is a tale of love turned to jealousy and then hate. Of sacrifice and vengeance. Of pain and desperation in the face of overwhelming power. Was all of it justified? You be the judge.

Lingering questions demand answers: What compelled the forging of the Elements of Harmony? Why have the ponies of Equestria been kept oblivious to their own ancient past? What dark secrets were too terrible to be passed down through the generations? What truly corrupted Sombra and led to Luna's tragic fall from grace? Most importantly, who set all of this in motion, and is everypony safe from it happening again?

My name is Kadie, and when I was eight years old, my people, the griffins, went to war with the ponies of Equestria. My mother never wanted me to think about that, so she never talked about it. The Emperor told my father that he had to go off and fight the ponies, though, so I know that she thought about it a lot.

A few months after I turned ten, a messenger came into our town and told us that our emperor didn't want to fight anymore, so the ponies won, and we lost. Mother said that since we lived so close to our capital, we needed to go see the pony army meet our emperor.

I did not like that.

In The Future This Story May Receive Light Again, But For Now It Will Sleep

As another year passes, a host of characters are pulled from the void. All of them see themselves as heroes in their own right, but soon they will realize that this may not be the case. In this hostile dimension, they will be forced into a tournament where twenty-four will enter, but only one will exit. The stage is set, the world is watching, and everypony is prepared to declare their newest victor. Will they have what it takes to survive in this cruel and twisted world? Is playing their game truly the only way to win, or is escape not as impossible as it seems?

This story is inspired by a Hunger Games OC concept made in 2019 but with some twists to set it apart. The idea was first proposed by a creator called EvyDusk, who's no longer active. The current main ideas in this story and drafts of it are created by me, and they are improved on massively by my co-writer named Emo Rainbow.

Like any other Hunger Games Story, there will be a lot of violence, deaths, and disappointing moments as OCs are cut down and their numbers dwindle, however, for the OCs who were submitted, we'll be trying to make their moments, and this story, as interesting as it could be. Most of the OCs you'll be seeing will be competitors, but there will be some who will be on the sidelines, with other roles surrounding the tournament.
