So Confession in a Canterlot Statuary is a thing. I figured it was about time I tried to write something semi-serious, as opposed to stupid comedy. And now that my two hours on the front page are up, I've counted all the views and upvotes and have come to one conclusion: I'm way better at stupid comedy. Which is kind of disappointing, since nothing else really gives that same sense of smug superiority as a sufficiently pretentious story. Ah, well.
There was more to say here, but all I can think about is how I should have just written "Twilight Sparkle Does Something Moderately Humorous While Her Vagina Talks To A Statue." The feature box wouldn't even know what hit it.
>vagina
>box
To be fair, I just got home, so I haven't even had a chance to read it. I've noticed that the front page can sometimes drum up a ton of views, mostly when you tickle Fimfic's pleasure centers. So Twilight kissing Rainbow Dash while Luna has trouble with something mundane as a Random Comedy in 1001 words...
I'll attempt to get to it sometime this week (sorry. Kid is sick so even this message is on a phone)
>implying you even have fanfics :V

Keep pushing yourself, my friend. The best way to get good at a genre is to try a bunch of things and learn from the attempts. (You really don't want to see my first attempts at melodrama.) Confession has a solid core, and it could be great after another draft or three. I would very much like to see your next pretentious story.
