When I wrote this, I didn't make any of the text upside down until it was ready to be posted. When I did, I realized that it was gonna be a lot tougher to read than I expected. By then, it was too baked into the story, and I'd have to come up with a whole new punchline, so I just hoped for the best

Good fic, but I don't think that using formatting to distinguish speakers is following the rules of the contest.
Also, upside-down text is painful to read.

The only thing I recall being specifically barred is color-coded text. I will admit, though, I'm probably stretching the rules to their breaking point.
As for the upside-down text, I was trying to be wacky and fun but I severely underestimated how hard that would be to read. Sorry bout that!

I mean coloured text was specifically banned because of the potential of someone using it to distinguish speakers. Also, using formatting to distinguish speakers has been formally banned from the contest.
The main point of the contest is distinguishing speakers without using signalling, using formatting like you do violates the spirit of the rules even if it didn't violate the word.

Discord's text made me really thankful I read this on my phone..
I mean… legality aside this was clever, and funny, and upside down text is exactly as headache-inducing as you’d expect. Bravo, at the bare minimum, this made for an enjoyable and world-shattering middle finger to the fourth wall
