This story is a rewrite of my old story, Cold. My current editor and I agreed to update the story a bit, and there are going to be quite a few changes to the story anyway, so I figured I'd keep the old one for the memories, and keep the original to show how far I've come. Art drawn by my editor.

It has been a few years since Twilight and her friends gave the Elements of Harmony to the Tree. They have been through so many adventures together with and without the Elements. Twilight knew, that even without the Elements, she and her friends would be able to overcome whatever was thrown at them. Or so she thought…

"A troubled young man commits suicide and wakes up as a pony in a world of friendship, magic, and technicolor equines. He encounters a lavender alicorn who has been tasked alongside her friends with solving his “friendship problem”. Unfortunately, he sees no hope for himself in the fragile affairs of deep interpersonal relationships and wants nothing more than to live a better life in his new world, one without the “magic of friendship”. However, his incompatibility with a world founded on friendship means that he must rely on others, and, in doing so, he will learn what it means to have true friendship."

This is my first time posting on here (and my first non-short story/fanfiction). Hope you enjoy!

You are Anon, a normal human from a normal world, some day out of nowhere you are not quite in your world anymore. Talking magic horses everywhere you can see, somehow now you are talking with the rulers and goddesses of this world, welp, this will be interesting.

Everyone Rainbow Dash knows is dead.

She is now 60 years of age and lives with Scootaloo, who is 49 years old and her only friend in this new age.

She no longer is the fastest flyer, still fast, but not nearly as fast as she once was.

She lives as a legend in a world that forgets her, and as of now, she tires of it. She hopes to forget her troubles by letting the sky guide her like it did so many times before.

Even though it is technically after, I apologize if some of the events at the end of the show are not taken into consideration as I have not finished the show. Everything about this is a parallel universe.

You could think of this story as having an old man Logan-style gimmick, with one of the main characters living in an unfavorable future.

Moving forward isn't easy sometimes; Sometimes, you just need a little help from others. Others who will help you find your spark. The spark to start over, the spark to live, the spark to keep going...a spark that will never burn out within the darkness...
And that's why Rainbow Spark will help four poor souls who are suffering by the hands of a evil being, who goes by many names. Names like Reader, Destiny, Watcher, Writer, and now as Fayth.
Spark, along with different versions of the mane six, Starlight and Sunset, will show Fayth that even if she can rewrite someone's story to become a sad and awful bad ending, it can still be rewritten into something happier—a happier ending—something that will make the poor souls she has tormented happy again.
...all it takes is just a spark. A different kind of spark. The spark that resides in the hearts of all.
...Friendship.

A lone pegasus filly waits, trapped inside of a cage for somepony to buy her.

Oh, golly! My name is Cozy Glow! I've been living in another dimension! Yeah, they froze me in stone when I was a filly, but that wasn't the end of my story. In the other dimension, nopony had ever heard of me! I was free! But there was just one problem... The whole time, I felt this nagging sensation that I wasn't me! That it wasn't real or authentic and no matter what I did or who I spoke to, these feelings would just not go away...

Still, I kept on living my life there. I used my natural talent for manipulating ponies to provide me with the amenities of life, but those feelings would just not go away! Until one day, I was walking down the street in the other Ponyville, when I saw something... A window... I saw another world behind that window...

Suddenly, I knew where to go!

Melody, short for Melodic Heights, had come home from school just to leave again and run toward the cliff where the vast ocean sat. Under the warm light of the setting sun, Melody gets to talk to somepony she loves most.
