"All those questions about Derpy are getting really frustrating, can’t they just leave me alone!?"

Discord Whooves exclaimed irately to himself as he slammed his hooves on to the Tardis control panel.

"I suppose I can’t blame them. Is-… Is it really my fault that she le…" Suddenly, the Tardis began to shake and started to change course, snapping Discord Whooves out of his train of thought.

"What the hell was that?! Why is the Tradis changing course?!"

Discord Whooves now in a panic, struggling to reach for the breaks as the Tardis is redirecting its course. Suddenly the Tardis started to halt making an emergency landing. "Come on, girl..! Just… need… to get… to… the… break!"

"THERE!"
"THERE!"

The Doctor exclaimed, just barely being able to take back control of the Tardis’s flight.

"Now, let’s see why you're acting so strangely like that old girl. Wait… That can’t be right… Now how on earth can we be in a different universe? We'd be floating through the void right now but, somehow we've actually landed... Oh I have got to see where I’m at."

The Doctor said, shocked that he is still in a universe after being knocked out of the space-time vortex.

“A… A… A world full of ponies, oh this is brilliant, definitely a nice change of pace from the usual running and saving the universe and stuff, this will be a nice break from all the running.”

The Doctor said being amazed by the sight of this universe.

“I’m sure this is going to be weird for the locals with me having a more humanoid fo… wait is that another Tardis, and another me?”

The Doctor said with a good bit of shock wonderment and a little bit of fear of what this universe might have instored for him now that he's here.

“Hello there, will…. me, not sure if you remember this face of you or not bu….”

The Doctor said before he was suddenly interrupted by Discord whooves rudely.

“Look I already know who you are considering the fact your Tardis just slammed into mine forcing both of our Tardises to have to make an emergency landing, but if you don't mind I'm going to leave and never come back out of the space time vortex.”

Discord Whooves said through his teeth with increasing anger.

“You didn't have to be so rude, and why wouldn't you come back, with a world like this it would be a shame to not explore it. Plus imagine the dangers it could get in because we're here. It's not like us to just not help the universe, no matter which one we're in. We save the universe just for the hell of it. How could you have forgotten that about us?”

The Doctor said with a bit of frustration but mostly wonder, and worry.

“Save the universe?! Oh no I'm long passed trying saving these ungrateful idiots! What have I ever gotten in return? What have we ever gotten in return?! The humans never listened to us, most of our companions didn't! Not to mention how often we have to save those annoying twats because there so incompetent to save themselves! So why should I help them, and put my life at risk to save them when they can’t even save themselves?!”

Discord Whooves yelled with anger and a hint of sadness in his voice.

“I think we're done here, leave me alone.”

Discord Whooves demanded as he shut the Tardis door.

“NO WAIT WE CAN'T JUST LEAVE THESE PEOPLE TO DIE!!!”

The Doctor yelled slamming his hands on the Tardis doors trying to get Discord Whooves to see reason.

But to no avail. Discord Whooves then flew the Tardis into the space time vortex.

“Will… I guess that leaves it to me to save this world. Alright other me, if you won't help these people when they need it I guess I'll just have to do your work for y…”

The Doctor said before getting cut off by Ditzy coming up from behind the Doctor about to ask who, or more rather, what he is, before the Doctor turned around.

“Oh hello there, sorry I just had a little bit of an argument with someone.”

The Doctor apologized for any disturbance he may have caused.

“I guess I should introduce myself. I'm the Doctor and right now I have no idea where exactly I'm at. Would you mind telling me where we are at?”

The Doctor asked calming down from his conversation with

“D...D….Doctor wait no it can't be. You look nothing like the Doctor but then again you look like nothing like what I've ever seen. What exactly are you?”

Derpy asked, wondering if this strange man really is the Doctor or not.

“Will I am, also how do you know me, we have never met before as far as I'm aware of?”

The Doctor asked puzzled how this gray equine knows who he is as if they have met before.

“I used to be the Doctor's assistant, but then when I said I wanted to help the universe from trouble and that I wouldn't follow him when he acted like this, he told me to run away from him. So I left and I've regretted not helping him ever since.”

Ditzy said with great regret in her voice.

Alright then come with me then. That's if you want to still? We could even try to help your Doctor.”

“The Doctor asked Ditzy with enthusiasm.

“Sure just don't act like him okay, I don't want to have to deal with two mean Doctors.”

Ditzy said with a little bit of worry, but with enthusiasm all the same.

“Great now if you don't mind can you tell me where we are? I'm still very lost in this new universe.”

The Doctor asked again, forgetting he asked before.

“Sure we are on the outskirts of the Everfree Forest.”

Ditzy said, with a little bit of excitement about the fact that she might actually be able to go out and explore time and space again.

Act I The planet of the night

"So where should we go? This is a new universe to me and all, so if you have any recommendations I'd love to try them out."

The Doctor said with much enthusiasm, as he moved about the Tardis console room.

"How about some random place? I'd like it to be a place with a lot of nice ponies around though."

Derpy said.

"I say that's a wonderful idea. Also here, have a Jelly baby."

The Doctor exclaimed, as he handed a bag of the treats to Derpy trying to also not let go of the control panel.
Just as the Doctor gave Derpy the bag of treats, he had set the Tardis for take off for a random planet.

"You might wanna hang on to something. I have no idea how the Tardis is going to behave in this universe."

The Doctor warned making sure that Derpy didn't hurt herself under the Doctor's care.
Just moments after the Doctor had said that the Tardis came to an abrupt halt.

"Wait what's going on? We shouldn't have landed, there's no way we could have without me pulling down on the hand break first, but then again this is a new universe so it might just be that the Tardis is just going to land without me pulling it then."

The Doctor said with much worry in his voice, unsure as to what made the Tardis stop in the first place, and for that matter where and when they stopped at.

"Wherever we are, it seems more or less safe to go outside the doors."

The Doctor explained, still very confused as to what had just happened and what had caused it.

"Alright, will, there's no time like the present, Los geht's!"

The Doctor exclaimed being both excited for where the Tardis had been taken, but also nervous for what had brought them here.
Because in the Doctor's experience things like this never end will.

“Oh now this is new!”

The Doctor exclaimed with excitement in his voice, for he had never seen a planet like this before, and he surely wanted to see what it has to offer.

“Now this place is beautiful. I've never seen something like this before in all of my travels, It’s brilliant!”

The Doctor exclaimed after looking around at all the flora.
The planet seemed to be in a state of perpetual darkness, due to the wild plants and wildlife having strange bioluminescence.
There were alot of blue glowing mushrooms, green glowing flowers, and most of the animals seemed to have dark fur but with streaks of glowing blue fur in it.

“Hey I’m sorry I don’t think I got your name yet?”

The Doctor asked surprised he had been so rude to not ask Ditzy for her name before.

“My name is Ditzy Doo, though some of my friends call me Derpy Hooves.”

Ditzy answered, with a relative reluctance at her nickname.

“That’s a nice name, but that nickname seems a bit cruel. Are you okay with people calling you that?”

The Doctor asked with concern in his voice, that Ditzy was sure to pick up on.

“Oh yes I am, after all it’s my friends that call me that after all, but I don’t like it when other people call me that though.”

Ditzy explained, showing that she was fine with her friends calling her that.

“Well as long as you're okay with it then. Well, are you set to see what this place has in store for us?”

The Doctor asked with gli in his voice, unable to hold his excitement.

“Sure am, where are we going first in this place?”
Ditzy asked with amazement with this strange planet infecting her from the Doctor's amazement.

“Well first I wanna see if there are any locals on this planet, and see how there civilization is in such a strange world, I mean it’s not every day you come across a planet that seems to have no star. Actually that gives me a question on how we aren’t freezing over, I mean it feels so warm here.”

The Doctor said with intrigue in his voice.

“But we can cross that bridge when we get to it, right now is the time for exploration, come on Mrs Ditzy we haven’t time to lose, LOS GEHT’S!”

With that the Doctor and Ditzy went off looking for any signs of civilization. They came across more of the strange animals, so at least they knew that there was still life on this planet.
But the fact that there didn’t seem to be any star giving warmth to the planet still bothered the Doctor.
As they came out of the forest they were in they spotted some strange buildings just over a small hill.

“Look Ditzy, buildings, oh that’s fantastic. This means there might be some people here we can meet, and hopefully find out why this planet is the way it is.”

The Doctor exclaimed, unable to hold his joy about this strange planet.

“Look Doctor, I think I see somepony there in that window!”

Ditzy exclaimed, pointing her hoof in the direction she saw the strange creator at.

“Yeah I think I see them, well, I think we should go pay them a visit.”

The Doctor said, excited that he is finally going to meet the residents of this bizarre planet, and maybe even get some answers to why the planet remains warm without a star warming it.

As the Doctor and Ditzy walked over to the small town they had suddenly been ambushed by what looked like the same creators that that one creator in the window was.
They had blue glowing eyes, a strange kind of organic body armor, and more bioluminescence in the same colors as the animals in the forest, they also seemed to be in the shape of an equine much like Ditzy was.

“State your name, occupation, place of origin and intention imiditky, or we will use force.”

One of the creators demanded with a deep and gravelly voice.

“I am the Doctor, I come from another planet, I am the Doctor of will, fun i suppose, and me and my friend here just came and visited this planet and wanted to see if there was any form of civilization that’s all. We are more than happy to leave if you want us to.”

The Doctor said being nervous but trying to keep calm, so he could try to keep some control over the situation.

“Are you both armed?”

The same creator asked.

“No, neither one of us are armed.”

The Doctor stated, calming down just a bit more.

“Sorry for the show of force, we have just been getting caught off guard recently, something from the forest has been attacking us, and it has been doing a number on our farms and other things.”

The creator apologized, explaining their situation.

“Wait somethings been attacking this place? I’ve seen nothing but harmless animals in that forest, and trust me we have been walking through that forest for a bit.”

The Doctor asked with both fear, and wonder as to what predators looked like in this world.

“Sadly yes there are usually only passive animals in those forests. It's usually only on the other side of the planet where there are any dangerous wildlife but we should really get inside the fog is about to come over us soon, that’s when that thing usually shows up.”

The strange creator said, offering the Doctor and Ditzy a place to stay during the fog.

“Alright, that actually sounds pretty good right now, our legs are tired from all of that wandering. Alright Ditzy it seems like we are going to be staying with these people for a while.”

The Doctor said with a bit of both excitement and fear, fear for what might happen when the fog comes in, but excitement for the chance of being able to see what life is like for the strange equines on this planet.

“Sure, and hey who knows it actually might not be so bad, you know when the fog comes in.”

Ditzy said, not sure if she was trying to ease the Doctor's mind, or her own.
As the fog settled in, a small wave of fear hit everyone, who knows what the fog might bring with it.
Everyone only hoped that it would be uneventful.

Act I What Goes Bump In The Night

As the Doctor and Ditzy walked into the house that the strange creatures lived in, they noticed that the house felt quite comfortable, giving off a warm summer home esthetic, there was a lamp on a table giving off a fine blue light at the far left side of the room, with a window looking over the crops and a few books on the table.
There was a fireplace adjacent to the table some pots and pans at the foot of it.

“Quite the place you got here..uhh sorry what's your name again?”

The Doctor asked.

“Oh, I must have forgotten my manners. My name is Lunar Strider, pleased to meet ya. Wish we’d met under better circumstances.”

Lunar Strider replied, offering his hoof to shake the Doctor's hand.

“Lunar Strider, that is a wonderful name can’t say that I’m too familiar with your species, what do you call yourselves? If I may ask, that is.”

The Doctor asked

“Nah it’s fine, I already assumed you ain’t from around here, we’re the Effulginits.”

Lunar Strider replied, starting up a fire under the fireplace.

“Are ya both hungry? I'm going to be making dinner here in just a moment.”

Lunar Stride asked, still feeding the flames with the wood he had next to the fireplace.

“That would be great!”

Exclaimed Ditzy not having eaten since she woke up this morning.

“Sure, I haven’t eaten in quite some time.”

The Doctor groaned, as his stomach growled loudly.

“Alright I’ll fix us up something t.”

As Lunar Strider was about to respond, but a thundering crash rang out from where the fence stood, with a rustling noise following shortly after..

“Everybody get down and turn off the light, I'll handle the fire.”

Lunar Stride said with a shaky voice and worry in his eyes, careful not to alert what was outside.

With that Ditzy, the Doctor, and Lunar Stride all turned off any lights they could find, then got under the table, careful not to make too much noise. The Doctor then tried to look through the window by the crops. What he saw shook him to his very core. The lights shone upon a monster with glowing red eyes, pitch black fur, and razor sharp teeth.

“Ditzy, I want you to stay here, no matter what happens I want you to stay here. Do I make myself clear?”

The Doctor whispered, looking into Derpy’s eyes with a look of both horror of what is outside, and worry for Derpy’s safety

“Doctor? What are you going to do.”

Ditzy tried to say before the Doctor got in closer.

“Do, I, make, myself, clear?”

The Doctor pressed with a seriousness in his face..

“Yes, Doctor.”

Ditzy whimpered

“Thank you, I wouldn’t be saying this if I was not genuinely worried.”

The Doctor whispered, looking back over to Lunar Strider.

“Is there any way to put that thing out of commission without killing it?”

The Doctor asked Lunar Strider, with a bit of panic in his voice.

“Yes, but it won’t be easy, there's some berries in the forest south of here, they grow a half a mile in.”

Lunar explained.

“But how do you plan on getting them in time?”

Lunar Strider asked, looking at the Doctor with a raised brow.

“Leave that to me, how am I going to get him to eat them? He does not look like he would eat something like that.”

The Doctor asked, taking another quick peek at the beast.

“I have a blow dart, put some of the berry juices on some thorns, and we should be as good as silver. Also just one last thing, the berries will be glowing a very bright pink. They’re the only pink berries in that forest.”

Lunar whispered.

“Alright, make sure Ditzy is safe whale, I'm gone.”

The Doctor said, as he started to sneak out the door, making sure not to catch any unwanted attention.

“Alright I got to go south, go a half mile into the forest and grab some pink berries, should be simple enough to handle.”

The Doctor thought to himself for a moment as he went to the south forest, occasionally taking a glance behind him making sure he was in the clear..

After a few moments of walking through the forest the Doctor eventually found the berries, and started taking some thorns and berries into his jacket pockets.

“I really need to get out of this magician's coat, I really don’t like the red trim on the bottom either. When I get back to the Tardis I am going to have to visit the old wardrobe an.”

Suddenly the Doctor was snapped out of his thoughts from something in the bushes. The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver, still looking like the one from his 11th incarnation.

“Oh you're just one of those deer we saw from earlier, can’t believe I got scared over one of you cute things but where are you running to though.”

The Doctor said watching the deer run by.

As the Doctor made his way back to the village, he heard something following him in the brush behind him.

“You know it’s very rude to follow somebody that’s unaware.”

The Doctor deadpanned behind him, expecting something to come out from behind the brush.

“Well…I’m waiting.”

Still nothing.

“Look if somebody is out there, just show yourself already, I am getting sick of wai.”

Just as the Doctor said this something darted to another bush

“Okay, we may have a problem here.”

The Doctor said, pulling out his sonic screwdriver scanning it to see how many things were surrounding him.

“Alright, I think it’s time I get out of here then.”

The Doctor thought to himself for a moment before booking it back to the village, making sure he ran around and between bushes, trees, rocks, and other obstacles to make it hard for what was chasing after him to catch him.

After making sure that nothing followed him back, the Doctor started making his way quietly back to the building with Lunar Strider, and Derpy.

“Alright I’ve got everything we need Lunar. So I just cover the thorns in the juice of these berries?”
The Doctor asked, making sure that he remembered the instructions correctly.

“Yes sir it is, I’ll go get the blow dart.”

Lunar Strider answered quietly, making sure that the beast didn't hear them. By this point the beast had already started getting agitated and destroyed almost half the crops. After getting the thorns ready, and Lunar Strider getting his blow dart, the Doctor and Lunar both got ready to use the thorns to put the beast to sleep then hopefully move it out of the village.

“Alright, I sure hope this works Lunar. Where do I hit him with this?”

The Doctor asked looking at the beast, it looking more and more agitated as time passed by.

“Right in the neck is the best spot, it should put him down for some time to attack it.”

Lunar said, also looking at the beast.

“We aren’t going to kill it, we should try to move it somehow.”

The Doctor said, not appreciating the fact he wanted to kill of the creature

“And how do you suppose we do that, it’s not like we have a way to move him?”

Lunar said, not happy with the fact that the beast is still going to be walking around, and causing problems for them later on.

“I can find a way alright, just leave that up to me.”

The Doctor said, still not alright with the fact that he had actually brought up the idea in the first place.
After that the Doctor shot the beast with the dart forcing it into a tranquil state.

“Alright now I’m pretty sure we could tie his legs together and drag him on something”

The Doctor said, looking at the beast figuring out exactly how he is going to get it out of this place.

“Fine by me, as long as that thing doesn’t bother us again I don’t care where it goes.”

Lunar said, making sure the beast wasn’t just faking being asleep, with a couple hoof taps, he confirmed it was that the job was done.

“Alright, I’m going to go grab rope from my ship, make sure that thing stays under, and for god sake don’t hurt the thing if it can be helped.”

The Doctor said before walking back to the Tardis.

“Alright Mrs Hooves if you don’t mind joining me in finding some rope I could use your help?”

The Doctor asked, before walking off to the direction of the Tardis.

“Alright, do you know where would be a good place to look in there?”

Derpy asked with joy to help in this mission.

“I would say check the down stairs in the console room first then if you can’t find anything there go past the pool but turn just before you see a T junction.”

The Doctor said a bit too quickly for the Derpy to catch.

“Sorry, where again?”

Derpy asked a bit sheepishly.

“I’ll show you when we get there Ditzy.”

The Doctor said softly.

As the Doctor and Ditzy looked through the Tardis, they eventually found what they were looking for, 4 pieces of rope one of which being roughly 5 meters long. As they were heading back to the village they could smell something burning in the distance.

“Oh no, no no no, that can’t be good, Ditzy we need to move fast.”

“DOCTOR OVER HERE!”

Lunar shouted waving his hoof in the air trying to get the Doctor’s attention over the burning buildings and crops. The Doctor noticing him ran to him.

“Are you alright, what happened here is everyone alright, Ditzy and I got here as fast as we could.”

The Doctor said with his voice quivering out of shock.

“I guess we overestimated how long the berries would keep him down for, he got up, and, and, well, before it ran off it took some of us down as it ran.”

Lunar said with his voice still riddles with fear and shock.

“Look Lunar, I will make sure no more harm comes to you or your people, and I will make sure that that beast does not hurt anyone ever again. I am going to be taking it off-planet.”

The Doctor stated, looking Lunar in the eyes

“How can you do that, who are you really Doctor.?”

Lunar asked still panicking

“I’m the Doctor, I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the Constellation of Kasterborous, I’m from another universe, and I am going to save your life and everyone else who is still alive.”

The Doctor stated looking into Lunars eyes to assure him he was in the most safe hands he could be in.
With that the Doctor, Derpy and Lunar went off in search of the beast, running deeper and deeper into the forest.
