Bronze Wing is not your avarage guy. The most feared student at crystal prep and outcast but with a noble heart and a past that conects him to a certain girl.
In his time at crystal prep Bronze Wing has gained the reputation of delinquent and outcast. With the friendship games coming close his conection to a certain girl during his childhood will start to resurface. Part of the PoME Universe.
The sun, setting in the distance, lit up the sky like a fiery-orange ball. The horizon became a brilliant shade of pink, with white, wide clouds filling in the gaps. Where there was wind, it laughed in the ears of the birds and whispered in the heads of the squirrels.
There's one house that while no different than the rest, the interiors shows what any other house has.
The room is decorated in bright colors. The walls are light blue decorated by cute posters, most of the furniture colored white, books for young children rest on a desk some even on the carpeted floor and oddly some advance programming ones, as do some stuffed animals.
Suddenly there's movement under the bed's covers. From them, the small figure of a little girl emerges. She has lavender skin, turquoise long hair and lighter turquoise eyes. The girl rubs her eyes as she looks around her room, she gets up revealing her yellow pajamas.
She then walks out from her room and into the hall, taking a few steps she arrives at the room next to her's.
Opening the door she came to another bedroom that was completely different than hers. The walls were covered in posters of games, movies and music bands the shelves had books, games, movies and some anime's as well, a large tv with some game consoles, and movie players, also a desk with a computer and near it, a sound system with various cd's on it.
The girl looks around until she sees the room's bed and walks forward not making any noise and climbs the bed and kneels against the bulk in the bed. She then shakes the bulk with her small strength.
"Bronze. Bronze. Wake up!" she saids in a quiet voice.
This causes the bulk to move and come out of the covers. This reveals a large figure with light golden skin, black hair that reached his shoulders, on his face he had a mustache and a goatee along piercings on both ears and his left eyebrow.
"Huh? Aura. Que hora es?(What time is it?)" The now revealed Bronze said as he looked at the little girl.
"Is still early. But you are usually awake at this hour. Did you stayed late again?" She asked the last part giving Bronze a stare.
Bronze only scratched the back of his head."Maybe a little." He lets out a yawn while stretching at the same time and the looking back at the girl.
"Why don't you go and get yourself ready while I make us breakfast." He told Aura as her ruffled her hair. Aura for her parts smiled and nodded while she headed out of the room.
Bronze got up immediately after and when to the kitchen. Suddenly a blue coated and white-eared dog jumped at him and started to lick his face. Bronze only smile while he petted the dog.
"Good morning Ember. I bet you are hungry too" the dog only barked. Bronze moved to the cabinet while getting some of Embers food on her plate which she started eating happily.
Moments later Aura came back all dresses and both started to eat. "Did you finished your homework?" Aura suddenly ask her brother as she took a bite of a piece of toast.
Bronze just looks at her and smirks "Did you?" both then laugh a while.
Finishing Bronze looks at his sister. "Watch some TV while i get ready" Aura only nodded and headed to the living room while Bronze went back up to the second floor.
Getting a shower and changing clothes to his uniform for Crystal Prep “I’ll never get used to this.” Looking at his stand he picks up a pair of shades and puts them on.
Walking back down he sees his sister ready to go"Do you have everything?" He asks as the girls nods.
"Yup. Books, notebooks, pencils and my laptop" Bronze raised an eyebrow at the last thing she said.
“Why are you bringing your laptop?" he asked alittle confused.
Aura stares at her brother with an annoyed face "I get bored easy. Besides i can work on my programs"
Bronze returned a deadpan stare. "As Long as we don't have a repeat of last time" Aura pouted at her brother's words.
"How was i supposed to know crystal prep had such a lousy alarm system! Only idiots use 12345 as a password for their luggage. Besides no one got hurt only extremely wet and now they have a better system all thanks to me." Aura smiled proud of herself
Broze just caught her nose between his index and middle finger which caused Aura to put a comedic face while she rapidly moved her arms up and down
"Sometimes i feel you're too smart for your own good. We were lucky that dad's friend managed to control the whole mess and it was written as an accident. " He lets go of Aura as he walks toward the door, Aura follows behind massaging her nose.
Bronze turns around and sees Ember coming towards them, he kneels and pets her. "You know the drill. Take care of the house ok Ember" Ember barks once in understanding.
She then lick's Aura's face who only laughs and then pets her. "Bye Ember" Aura says as both leave the house. Outside Bronze picks Aura up and puts her on his shoulders as they start their daily routine.
"You know. We could have arrived faster if you use your bike" Aura says as she stares at her brother.
"True. But school doesn't allow motorcycles so we have to walk. You know that" Bronze answered as Aura only looked at the ground.
"I know. But i enjoy when you take me to ride with you" Bronze smile's at his sister, she always likes hanging with him, despite being really smart for a seven year old she is really childish at times.
“Hey what’cha doing?” asked a sudden female voice that startled the siblings. They looked left and found nothing. The looked right and also nothing. Then they looked left again only to jump as all of a sudden a girl with a huge smile was at their side.
“You almost gave me a heart attack Pinkie!” Bronze said to the new arrival who still continued to smile. “What are you doing here anyway?”
“Nothing really. I was walking and i saw both of you and then thought wouldn’t it be really neat to surprise Bronze and Aura and it work!” She smiled making a squeaking sound in the process, and the siblings just stared at her.
“You’re really weird you know that” Aura raised an eyebrow as she spoke to the older girl.
“Of course and that’s what makes it fun!. So what’cha doing?”
Bronze just let out a sigh “I’m taking Aura to the daycare before going to school”
“Oooooooooooooooooh. Can I join?”
“I don’t see why not”So the trio started walking until they arrived at the daycare. Bronze set Aura on the floor. . "Well. We better leave or we will be late for classes" Bronze spoke but then Aura run towards him which made him kneel.Aura then gave him a tight hug.
"You'll be back soon, right?" Aura asked to which Bronze noded.
"I love you big brother" Aura said in a quiet and sad tone which made her brother hug her more tightly.
"I love you too" Bronze spoke as he let her go.
“Hold on Aura!” Said Pinkie as she started to look for something in her backpack, suddenly she pulls a bag and hands it to Aura. “This are some cookies I made, you can have them”
“Really?” said the girls surprised by the sudden gift. Pinkie just nodded to which the girl smile and hugged the girl. As she made her way in she waved back one last time
“DON’T FORGET TO SHARE!” Yelled pinkie as Aura made her way inside. Turning she saw Bronze covering his ears.
“Madre. You really know how to scream!”
“It wasn’t that bad”
Both teens continued their walk to their respective schools. Bronze turned to Pinkie who was happily skipping at his side.
“That was really nice of you. To give those cookies to Aura”
“Well, she looked sad and I can’t stand to see people sad, especially my friends.” Bronze himself smiled at Pinkie's answer. “So how are things at crystal prep?” The girl suddenly asked.
“The same as always”
“Bumer. That’s why I haven't got a friend in crystal prep they are so mean! I tried once but it didn't work.” Pinke crossed her arms and made a pouting face.
“Um. I’m from crystal prep and as far as i know i’m your friend”
“Oh yeah, kinda forgot.” She then gives a smile letting out a squeaking noise. “You should have enrolled at CHS, then you could have hanged with me and my friends, I could have made you a huge welcome party!”
“True. But then all of the guys that date you and your friends would want a piece of me for being around their girlfriends, especially for the fact that I’m not in a relationship ”
“Nah. They are really nice, you would get along with them, not to mention most of them are gamers just like you”
“Maybe on another occasion, I have been a little busy lately” Both walked a little more until they reached a fork. “Anyway. It was good talking to you”
“Wait!” Pinkie called as she gave him a cupcake. “I made a bunch for my friends and well this is for you” Pinkie then headed to the opposite direction from Broze when she turned around. “I’ll see you at work later!” she said and started to run.
Bronze for his part still took a slow pace towards his school as he wasn't in a hurry, yet he couldn't help to think back to his little sister and the tragedy of their parents passing away.
Aura was so broken the first few weeks of this and it only grew worse where she was about to be taken to either an orphanage or foster home.
He thought tooth and nail and with the help of some influential friends of both parents he managed to get custody of Aura but he had supervisions of one of his father's close friends in order to avoid future problems.
He also helped him get citizenship as he and Aura weren’t from this country, they moved to canterlot city and finally he was able to enter a good high school which was crystal prep, he hoped that attending such school could secure a better future for both of them. His thoughts were interrupted as he finally arrived at the school grounds.
Bronze entered, and as soon he did a dead silence filled the halls as all students gazed upon his imposing figure. He just led out a heavy sigh as he started to walk again.
Some of the students quickly moved away from his path, moreso as he reached the hall with the lockers and he walked towards his own.
Moving his belongings in and out of his locker he hears some of the gossip some of the students go around spreading.
Most notably he hears that of the students who suddenly transferred in a short period of time mostly after himself arrived at school. He hasn't meant any of them personally except for that one shy boy, not that they spoke or anything, but they actually bumped into each other one day and before Bronze could apologize said boy runned away as if he had seen the devil.
This only added fuel to Bronze's reputation. Suddenly he heard some arguing which has become more regular as of late.
"Come on Indigo. I know you want to." Said a male voice just a couple of feet from him. He already knew who it was.
"I said no Ledger! How many times do i have to say it. I don't like you, and leave me alone!" Said an angry female voice that Bronze knew who it belonged to, one of the shadow 5 Indigo Zap.
He thought Ledger would have already know his lesson after all his attempts. Indigo wasn't a pushover and she could kick his ass really hard, as the other times she has done it.
Suddenly something bumped into Bronze's back pushing him into his locker.
"Hey watch it lo...............!" Ledger yelled to the person he bumped but didn't finish as Bronze turned around and Ledger saw who it was.
He didn't say anything and just left with a scared look. Bronze then turned to a side and looked at Indigo. She for her part was seeing him with some fear in her eyes as well while trying to remain calm and then also left.
"Just another day in my life." thought Bronze just as the bell rang and he headed for his first class of the day.
The classes passed at a steady pace, the bell for lunch has just rung and all students exited their classrooms.
As Bronze enters the cafeteria he sees the number of students there, the place was packed up, as usual, thankfully he mades his own lunch and doesn't have to wait in line, and walks to his usual table in the corner.
Of course, no one sits with him during the break, looking around he sees the students all in their usual groups.
On the same table as everyday he sees the shadow 5 chating more so now that the friendship games are coming closer.
He still couldn't understand the rivalry between both schools which it seems to go in an unhealthy direction.
He remembered a few day's after he entered the school on how the shadow 5 approached him.
Memory
Bronze was eating not giving a care to what happens around him. Since entering the school most students avoided him and some looked at him with slight fear in their eyes.
He guessed that his looks alone were the cause of this, eh still wished he atleast had friends from his age group as he always felt like an outcast, the only exception being Pinkie pie who he meet while getting a job at sugar cube corner as a delivery boy.
Still they didn’t interact much, mostly because of being in different schools and Pinkie hanging out with her friends and her boyfriend, he would just be the third wheel or put Pinkie into trouble and he didn’t want that for the girl.
"Bronze Wing?" asked a sudden female voice next to him.
Bronze turned around and saw a girl with bluish gray skin and white almost silver hair. She was also wearing glasses.
"Yes?" he asked wondering what she wanted from him, still this girl looked kinda familiar but he just shrugged it off. The girl eyed him up and down before speaking again.
"Follow me" she asked, no more she demanded.
"Why?" he asked as he took another bite of his lunch. The girl looked back at him
"Your initiation as a shadowbolt, every new student here at crystal prep has to go through it" was all she said. Bronze wasn't sure about this but simply nodded and followed her.
After a while she guided him into a room with five chair's in a line and another one standing alone.
"Sit" was all the girl said. Bronze just shrugged it and sat on the lone chair, moments later four more girls joined the one who brought him.
"Bronze Wing. Do you know who we are" Asked one of the girls. Bronze looked at the group.
"Not really" he said as he scratched the back of his head..
This caused a little surprise to the group as everyone knew who they were. after a moment each of the girls presented themselves as Sunny Flare, Sugarcoat, Indigo Zap, Lemon Zest and Sour Sweet. They informed him about his initiation into becoming a full shadowbolt and what he needed to do.
"So you are saying that i have to go to the rival school and basically vandalize it?" All 5 girls noded.
Bronze for his part just got up and went to the door. "Not interested" this shocked the group. No one has ever rejected the initiation.
"What do you mean you are not interested" Asked Sunny Flare still surprised.
Bronze just lowered his shades a bit and the girls saw his eyes, they saw he was not happy but that look in his eyes mixed with his already imposing looks started to scare the girls. He didn't say anything and just left.
Later that day he was called to principal Cinch office in which she went on and on rambling about the school's reputation and how he dare not uphold tradition.
When Cinch turned to look at him she became livid as she saw him on his phone. Before she could reprimand him more he just passed the phone to her.
"It's for you" was all Bronze said. Cinch took the phone and then became white as a ghost. She returned the phone and told him he could leave.
Outside he passed the shadow 5 who were waiting outside but he just ignored them. Later he found out Cinch told them to stay away from him.
Of Course that spread like wildfire and that's what got his reputation to worsen and how basically the whole school including both teachers and students were dead scared of him with the sole exception being Dean Cadence.
The reasons he wasn't expelled was because thus far he hasn't broken any rule, he had good grades. Without this Cinch couldn't touch him, and it did help to have a family friend in high places.
Memory end
He looked more around and saw the other groups of students. On another table, he saw almost all of the new arrivals of crystal prep. They became friends really fast which made him kinda envious, he knew they were close to the shadow 5 group.
Bronze finished his lunch and proceed out of the cafeteria, all students being careful not to mess with him.
Outside he walked back to his locker to get the things he needed for his next class. Pausing a moment after closing his locker he looks for something under his shirt.
He pulls out a gold chain and on it it was a gold star or more exactly half a golden star as it looked as if it was cut by something.
“I wonder what happend to you” Bronze thought as he walked away.
The sun was setting in the distance. In a small park two children were shown playing one boy and one girl yet they appeared fuzzy.
“Hey hurry up!” said the boy as he climbed a hill. The girl was walking as fast as she could only to fall.
She started to cry only for the boy to return and help her up. As she continued to cry he hugged her in a tight embrace. The boy was about to speak again when suddenly…...
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
A pair of grayish orchid eyes shoot open. The owner of the eyes was a girl with long white hair and blueish gray skin.
Sitting on the bed she turned the alarm clock off. She rubbed her forehead in annoyance at what she just was experienced.
“Why do I have those dreams?.” She asked herself. “Or are they memories from my childhood? Ugh my head hurts” For the last couple of months Sugarcoat has been having dreams that she couldn't explain.
Letting out a sigh the girl got out of bed and went to take a shower to calm herself. Letting her body feel the water she indeed felt more relaxed.
After finishing she headed for the mirror in the same room, removing the blur with her hand she took a better look at herself, just looking at the reflection for a while. Despite her nerdy appearance Sugarcoat was an attractive girl yet unlike some of the other crystal prep girls whe was more modest.
Removing her towel she looked at her reflection once again, more specific to the scar she had. Coming from her chest to her stomach, she didn’t remember how did she got it. She only remember waking up in a hospital bed and with six years of her life missing.
Walking out she started to prepare herself as she got dressed in her crystal prep uniform. Getting her her hair into it’s usually style and finally putting her glasses on.
Before leaving the room she look at a box in front of her. She pulled two items. One was a small pink hairpin that she immediately put on. The other was a necklace.
“Why do I still have these?” She asked but still she also put the necklace anyway and left the room. The girl lived in a small apartment alone. Moving into the kitchen she started to prepare her breakfast just as any other morning.
Finishing her breakfast and after putting the dirty dishes away she was ready to leave until her phone rang.
“Hello” She answered in her usual tone.
“Good morning Sugarcoat” said a older male voice on the other side of the line.
“Dad. You know you don’t have to call me everyday.” She said bluntly and almost without emotion.
“I know but i'm worried about you.” Said the girl's father with a worried tone.
“You know I can take care of myself. Despite living alone i'm not having any problems” she spoke in the same manner as before. Her father only let out a sigh.
“Alright.Just be careful ok.” Sugacoat just then hanged the phone after her father said his goodbyes.
Getting out of her apartment Sugarcoat preceded to take her daily route to school. Walking her face had the same serious expression she always had.
Even when she arrived at school her face didn’t change. Sugarcoat was not like the other students at crystal prep. Yes she shared their views and competitiveness but unlike them her family was not that rich.
Her father had to work out of town thus she lived alone in a cheap apartment that her father paid a rent for. Thankfully she managed to get scholarship all thanks to being the student with the best grades at school.
Well almost as the only student with better grades that hers was one Twilight Sparkle yet Sugarcoat was better at sports that her.
“Hey Sugarcoat!” said a girl’s voice which made Sugarcoat turn around. She then saw four girls coming in her direction.
These girls for a lack of better term were her friends even though she was weary of the term. They were Indigo Zap, Lemon Zest, Sunny Flare and Sour Sweet.
“So. How are you this morning dear?” Asked Sunny Flare.
“The same as yesterday. The day before that and the day before that” Sugarcoat answered as she always did which made the four girls to just stare at her with odd looks.
“That’s good to hear” Said Sour Sweet on her sweet tone before turning to her sour one “Except that’s what you always tell us everyday”
“I don’t know what do want me to tell you, i'm being honest”
“Well you don’t have to be so blunt about it!” Indigo spoke while the rest agreed. Except for Lemon who was listening to her headphones..
“That's how it has been, not sure what you were expecting ” Sugarcoat crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow towards the rest of the girls.
“No that’s not what I meant. Ugh sorry ok!” Indigo responded trying to calm the situation. It’s just that i had a bad start today”
“What do you mean dear. Did something happen?” this time it was Sunny Flare who spoke with surprise and concern.
“Ledger happened. He hasn’t left me alone for the past couple of days and now I feel like i'm gonna lose it”
“Have you tried telling principal Cinch? It seems like the most obvious course of action if you ask me” Sugarcoat commented
“Are you kidding?. I tried a while back but she dismissed it.” Indigo’s increased in anger remembering the incident.
“You know you can beat him to a pulp right?” Sugarcoat added
“I know. But the bastard seems to enjoy it.” This raised some eyebrows between the other four girls. Sunny Flare came close to Indigo and placed her hand on her shoulder
“So how did you managed to ditch him today?” Sunny asked as Indigo scratched the back of her neck.
“I didn’t do anything. While he was busy trying to get me to go out with him, the idiot bumped into Bronze” Indigo let a laugh “You should have seen his face.”
“Not surprising. Bronze Wing is the only one who has managed to scare Ledger” Said Sour sweet “Not to mention the entire school” she said in a sour tone.Before they could continue the school's bell rang forcing the girls to go their respective classes.
Getting into her classroom Sugarcoat sat at her usual desk in the back. Shortly after the other students yet Sugarcoat didn’t payed attention that’s until everything became dead silence.
Turning around she saw a certain student entering the classroom and sitting next to her. This student was Bronze Wing, the delinquent of Crystal prep.
Still she didn’t know why he was referred to that. After the incident with the initiation and Cinch everyone called him that but as far as she knew Bronze never bullied anyone or did things that were against the rules.
For what she learned he had good grades, not the best in school but higher that most, aswell being good in sports despite not being part of any team.
Yet there was something in the back of her head. A sensation that there was more to him that all the rumors flying around school, still she couldn't place her finger on that. Suddenly she placed her hand on her head suddenly feeling some amount of pain.
She quickly turned around as Bronze moved his head towards her just barely missing his gaze, thankfully the teacher enter the class.
While the teacher starter to give the lesson something in Sugarcoats mind went back before she woke up, that strange dream she had. It felt so familiar and warm but she couldn't remember. She knew the girl in those was her but the boy was a mystery.
After her accident she couldn't remember a lot of things, including her parents. When her father came to see her once she was awake he was shocked that she couldn't remember him and worst of all she forgot that her own mother had passed away just before Sugarcoats own accident.
She made a total recovery but from then on according to her father she changed drastically. She became more blunt, never lying but unlike her name she didn’t sugarcoated it and became direct.
Returning to her weird dreams of when she was younger and weird they were. In those dreams she looked happy like she has never look as far as she remembered. She tried asking her father but he never gave her a stray answer and it was hard on how he lived away in order to provide for her and after a while she stopped asking.
“Who are you?” she asked herself remembering again the blurred image of the boy. She let out a sigh letting it pass she had more important things to do.
The rest of the day went it’s usual course, same classes, same lectures, lunch with her group and as usual she gazed to the other tables and saw Bronze Wing eating alone again.
She brought her hand to her forehead again feeling pain again.
“Hey Sugarcoat are you ok?” Asked Lone Wolf. He was a boy with white hair, blue skin and yellow eyes. His question caught the attention of all in the table.
“Just a headache” She said without turning to see the others.
“You have been having alot of those lately. Are you sure you are all right?” This time Sunny Flare was the one who asked.
“It’s nothing ok!” Sugarcoat just shouted back in an annoyed tone. Seeing her somewhat angry made the rest drop the discussion.
As classes ended Sugarcoat return home after saying her farewells to her friends yet the theme of her dreams returned.
While she was walking she was so caught on her thoughts that she didn’t notice the light of the street change and the sudden honk made her turn around only to see a large truck at mere moments to ram her.
She actually became paralyzed and closed her eyes awaiting the hit but it never came. Just as she closed her eyes she felt being picked up.
Opening her eyes she found herself speechless and with a slight blush. She was being held in bridal style by none other that Bronze Wing. He turned to see her which started to make her feel nervous.
“Are you alright?” was all he asked in a worried tone. But instead of answering Sugarcoat slapped him.
“Put me down!” She said losing her always calm demeanor. Bronze did so.
“A thank you would have been nice” he said while rubbing his cheek.
“Why?” Sugarcoat asked with her back turned on him.
“Why what?”
“Why did you save me?” her question made Bronze see her as she grew another head.
“Your joking?, the fact that I don’t see eye to eye with you and your friends doesn't mean I want to see you rundown” Bronze spoke angry at Sugarcoat. “You know what. Forget it. You're ok with no injuries so i take my leave”
Sugarcoat watched as Bronze started to leave. Suddenly something cliqued in her mind, that moment when she was in his arms she felt something, a warmth she felt was familiar but couldn't place it.
She was about to thank Bronze but saw he was already gone. Realizing there was not much she went back to her home but with a single thought.
Aura was always more collected than other children of her age. Yet the sight in front of her left her with an expression of weirdness and surprise.
“WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO YOU!?” She screamed, in front of her was her brother who had just come to pick her up like all days, but unlike the rest, her brother sported a huge and very noticeable handprint on his face.
“It’s nothing” Bronze spoke in an unusually quiet manner which shocked his sister even more.
“What do you mean it’s nothing!” Before she could continue Bronze just lifted his hand.
“Aura let it go. If you stop asking I’ll buy you that ice cream you really like.”
Aura let out a gasp. “Are you bribing me?”
“I don’t know. Is it working?” he asked with a slick smile which his sister returned.
“Oh, you bet it does.” Aura said as her brother picked her up and placed her on his shoulders. Bronze walked unaware that the event with Sugarcoat earlier was just the beginning.
Aura was really happy. She was enjoying her treat as both she and her brother headed home. Sure, she still wondered what happened to him but got something out of it if she didn't ask more.
They both had to cut through an alley as the main route was blocked due to some road work. Aura was walking a little faster, creating some distance between her and Bronze.
“Aura be careful!” Bronze called out.
Then it happened, Aura didn’t look where she was going and tripped on a rock making her fall face first to the ground.
“AURA!” yelled Bronze as he quickly ran to the little girl’s side. He picked the girl up and started to brush off the dirt that got on her clothes.
Aura for her part started to cry. “There, there. Everything is going to be alright” Aura turned towards her fallen treat and was starting to tear up again until her brother gave her his own. “Here. You can have it” while calmer the girl still was with tears. But the moment she reached for the ice cream a loud yell caught them both off guard.
“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!!!”
Both siblings turned to around and were greeted by three teens standing entrance of the alley.
The first one was a boy and had grey skin, black hair, and yellow eyes. He was wearing a black unzipped hoodie, black T-shirt with a Japanese character on the front in white. blackstrap boots. and dark green pants with a chain on the side.
The second was also a boy. He had sea green skin, dark blue hair and hazel eyes. His clothes were a dark blue t-shirt with ocean waves on the bottom and a small crescent moon near the left shoulder, blue jeans, and gray shoes.
The third one was a girl with light amber skin, her orange hair was tied into two pigtails and green eyes. She was wearing a black jacket, a dark red shirt that has a skull in the center, bright red skirt, black and white striped leggings and gray sneakers.
All three of them had a really angered look on their faces.
“Who do you think you are!” said the black haired one while pointing towards Bronze.
“¿Perdon?” Bronze asked while raising an eyebrow.
“Oh, now you are playing ignorant!” He answered back.
“Seriously I don't know what you’re talking about,” Bronze told the group again.
“Really? You’re even worse than I thought. You are not only a bully but also a coward! You make that little girl cry and then when you are caught you fake ignorance. No wonder you students from Crystal Prep are not liked at CHS” This time the girl was the one who spoke.
“Oh. I think you misunderstand. What actually happened……” Bronze didn’t get to finish as the black dressed teen suddenly jumped him, lucky Bronze was able to dodge him.
“Shut up you coward!” said the teen as he charged Bronze again. The tall teen managed to grab his aggressor and pinned him to the ground without effort.
“If you listen what I have…..” Before Bronze got to finish again the pigtail girl managed to sneak on him and deliver a punch to Bronze face. This caused him to release the other teen as he fell on his back.
“You ok Zero?” Asked the other boy as he helped Zero getting back on his feet.
“Yeah. Thanks, Gaige.” Spoke Zero. Just then they saw Bronze getting up. “This guy is not just shown, he is really strong. He managed to pin me down with just one arm. I mean not even AJ or Bulk can do that!”
“No kidding, it felt as I punched a wall,” Gaige said as both readied for their opponent.
“Guys. Shouldn't we listen to what he has to say?” Asked the other boy.
“Tidal! This guy is a bully, just look at him. Are you saying he might be innocent?” Zero spoke. This made Tidal think again, sure he had a run in with various bullies in his life especially in his old school yet after his incident he tried to be calm and collected about these scenarios.
Bronze for his part finally got up, both noticed the mark Gaige’s fist left on his face as well as the broken shades.
Bronze removed the shades and stared at them before throwing them to the side. He then suddenly spat at the floor revealing blood, suddenly he turned to both teens with a less than amused expression.
“You know. I was willing to let all this slide, but there’s a point when I have to defend myself” As he cracked his knuckles.
Both Zero and Gaige approached him as fast as they could to deliver a double punch but Bronze managed to dodge them. In an unexpected move, he grabbed both of them by the waist and managed to throw them a good distance without effort.
While this was happening Tidal managed to walk next to the little girl who was seen the fight with a shocked expression
“Are you alright?” Tidal asked the little girl. “Did that boy actually did something to you?” Aura immediately shakes her head.
“No, he was helping me! He would never hurt me” This made Tidal’s eyes widen at the words. He quickly turned towards his two friends.
“Zero, Gaige. Stop it, it’s all a misunderstanding. Yet his word fell on deaf ears.
Bronze was able to hold his own against the two teens. While both had better skill than him at fighting they managed to land some blows and now he had some bruises not to mention his uniform was covered in dirt and small blood stains.
Zero sent another punch in his direction but Bronze managed to catch him and managed to get one hit that sends Zero rolling a couple of feet.
Gaige wasn’t faring any better. Bronze managed to take a lot of her punches and still he was standing. While he was defending himself against her assault yet he didn’t return a single punch but managed to pin her to the ground a couple of times.
The fight has been going on for a while and Zero was now laying tired on the floor. Gaige was growing reckless in her assault and the pressure of the situation was getting to her.
“Listen. This has gone enough. Just leave and I won’t do anything rash and we both forget this event. Bronze spoke losing up a little. “I don’t want to hit you”
"Oh, you are looking down on me you big baka giant without a brain! I bet your mother is so disappointed in you" Gaige spoke towards bronze.
Aura let out a gasp of horror as she looked at her brother of course what she knew about that subject was something that really hit Bronze hard.
"You think that’s funny chaparra!! " Bronze spoke furiously against Gaige. Of course, she was confused about the last word.
"Chaparra means short in Spanish" Said Zero besides her. This of course mad Gaige completely losing her cool. In one swift moment, she appeared in front of Bronze and gave him a huge punch in the gut that the teen was not expecting. This sends the already brushed Bronze crashing into a wall.
Gaige came closer and picked the barley conscious Bronze by the collar of his uniform. The fury in her eyes was clearly evident as she gazed upon him. She lifted her free hand ready to punch him more "No. One. Calls. Me. Short!" Gaige said, anger overtaking her.
Just before she could deliver a punch she felt something hit her on the side of her face. It wasn't something painful or hard. Looking at her side she spotted that the little girl at Tidal's side had thrown her ice cream at her.
"Let him go!" said the girl. Gaige didn't know what was happening but something told her to do it. She released Bronze who just fell to the ground. Aura the walked without rising her face and stood between Gaige and bronze. Turning her face finally up Gaige saw something she wouldn't expect from someone that age. A face full of anger directed at her. This made her take some steps back from the girl.
"How dare you hurt my brother!" Aura spoke in anger as tears starting to fall from her face.
"Brother!?" Yelled all three chs students as they were not expecting this revelation. Aura turned to the downed figure of her brother and started to try and make him come back to his senses.
“Bronze? Bronze please get up!” Aura spoke again with desperation. Remorse started to be made present on the three teens as they saw the scene develop in front of them.
Bronze for his part managed to get back on his feet but was still feeling the effects of his attacker. Aura let out a sigh of relief as she saw her brother get back on his feet.
“Hey Listen. We…..” Zero started to speak but was cut short as Aura sent a menacing glare at the group.
“SHUT UP!” She yelled at the group which caught them off guard.”It’s always the same with people like you! Why can’t you leave my brother alone?!” She looked back at Bronze and then spoke in a sad voice “He hasn’t done anything to you and yet you assaulted him”
“We thought he was bullying you. We were trying to help” Tidal was the one who spoke this time only for Aura to shoot a glare at him.
“No one asked you for help!” Turning back to her brother she gently took his hand and started to guide him out of the alley.
“Wait. Let us help you” Spoke Gaige as she and her friends move closer to the siblings. Aura for her part stopped. She didn’t look back yet spoke in a more somber tone that before.
“We don’t need your help” was all she said. Coming out of the alley she called for a taxi. Both siblings getting in and disappearing from view. This just left the three teens alone to ponder to what hey just did.
“I feel like shit.” Said Zero as he punched a wall in frustration.Tidal for his part just placed his hand on his friend shoulder
“We can’t do anything about it. What’s done is done” commented Gaige as she let out a sigh. All 3 started to walk away from the alley, a cloud of depression following them as they went.
“Thank you,” Said Aura as she paid the cab driver. When she managed to help her brother out of the alley she quickly called for a cab to bring them both home, not wanting to be near those three who injured the only family she had left.
Opening the door to her house she quickly stops as some barks caught her attention. Turning around she saw Ember happily coming their way to receive them as she did every day.
“Ember Stop” spoke Aura making the dog give her a confused look. “Bronze is hurt and I don’t think he is ok enough to receive your usual greeting.” Ember for her part just looked at the siblings as they passed by her side.
After that little exchange Aura helped her brother to sit on the couch. “I’m going to call MS.Cake and tell her you can’t go to work today.”
“Wait. There’s no need for that” Bronze spoke as he tried to get back up but failed as the pain he currently felt didn’t allow him to do so. “See. You can’t even get up. Besides, MS.Cake will understand” She said as she left the living room.
Bronze for his part just sat there, not even moving a muscle. Suddenly a small weight on his leg made him look down.
Ember had placed her head on his leg and was giving him a sad gaze while letting out small whimpers. Bronze just let out a sigh as he laced his hand on Embers head and started to gently stroke it.
“I’m sorry for worrying you girl. But it’s so big deal” He spoke gently to Ember, while she just stood there on his leg. It was at this moment that Aura entered the living room.
“MS. Cake said is ok, and hopes you get better soon.” Was what Aura said. She then sat next to her brother while snuggling at his side.
“Why?” she spoke in a sad tone. This made Bronze turn his hurt face towards her.
“Why, what?” He asked in confusion as he didn’t know what she was talking. Aura the looked at him with tears in her eyes.
“Why does this always happens to you?, You are the nicest and most caring person I have ever meet and yet everywhere we go you are treated like a criminal. It’s not fair” Every single word Aura said became sadder than the last.
Bronze just saw her there, sadness overtaking her and yet he couldn't do anything to alleviate that sadness. He knew now what she was talking about. His rough physical appearance always gave a bad impression. Everyone in his age group feared him and the adult’s thought he was a delinquent.
With the exception of dean Cadence, Pinkie Pie, and the Cakes he didn’t have friends. Yet despite them knowing the good person he was Pinkie was a student at another school, a rival school so they didn’t interact much except at work or when he runs into her when he was not. The relationship with dean Cadence and the Cakes was more of working relationship.
“It’s going to be alright,” He said as he also stroke Aura in the head. Aura looked at him and saw he was smiling. “Even if this keeps happening I won’t let it bring me down.”
“But what if something happens to you? What I’m supposed to do if you are no longer here?” Bronze looked at his sister again and started to clean her tears with his fingers, still smiling at her.
“I’m not gonna let something like that happen. I’m going to stay here and take care of you as I have always done” Bronze spoke in a gentle tone making Aura calm down.
“Hey! I also take care of you” she said while making a pouting face. Bronze just let out a smirk as he patted her once again.
“I know. We take care of each other” It was a tender moment but it all came to a halt as the doorbell rang. It rang once, then twice. Suddenly it started ringing in a consecutive manner as the person was pressing it really fast. Aura’s face lit up and a smile soon came to her face.
“Uncle!” she yelled as she quickly got out of the couch and towards the door. Bronze heard the opening door and the unmistakable voice of their uncle.
“Well hello there. How is my little niece doing?” Said a cheerful voice.
“Ok” Was all Aura said the voice becoming sadden again.
“Is everything alright? Where is your brother?” Was all the man ask. Bronze didn’t hear a reply from his sister but then heard steps that came closer.
“Bronze what happened to you?!” Said the male voice. Bronze looked up and saw his uncle. Well, not really his uncle but a man who was a close friend of his father and he knew since he was little, because of that he always knew him as uncle despite not sharing blood. There’s also the fact that he had helped him since the whole event with his parents took place.
The man in front of him would definitely raise some eyebrows. He was wearing a set of mismatched colored clothes. He looked like a safe. Why? Because you couldn’t find the combination anywhere.
“Just an incident uncle Discord” Bronze spoke as he avoided the adult's gaze which was not easy as Discord didn’t move an inch. Disord let out a sigh as he looks back to Aura.
“Could you bring the first aid kit?” He asked her. Aura nodded leaving them alone.
Sugar cube corner was one of the most popular hang out in Canterlot city, most notably for students from CHS.
A large group of said students was currently enjoying themselves eating or talking.
“They are running late,” Said a black haired and grey-skinned boy as he kept an eye on the window of the local.
“Don’t worry babe. I bet they will be here any minute” spoke a white skinned and purple haired girl as she placed her hand on the teen's shoulder.
The bell from the shop suddenly sound and true enough the missing trio finally showed up. Zero, Tidal, and Gaige walked in with their heads hanging low and an aura of depression following them, more so on Zero and Gaige.
All 3 sat down without uttering a single word. This concerned the group who couldn’t stop looking at them.
“Did something happened?” Asked a girl with both red and yellow hair. Zero and Gaige looked at her direction while Tidal only let out a sigh.
“We messed up” spoked Zero and Gaige at the same time.
“Wait, wait wait. What did you do?” Asked a lightly tanned boy with spiky white hair.
“Exactly what they said, Soul.” Tidal was the one who spoke this time.
“I feel so bad” Gaige commented as she covered her face with her hands. “I let my anger overtake me” Suddenly Gaige felt a hand on her shoulder. Turning around she saw a white-skinned boy with black spiky hair. “Treble?”
“Now calm yourself and tell us what happened?” Just before Gaige could respond Pinkie Pie entered the room in a hurry and getting everyone's attention.
“Sorry, everyone. I have been really busy, Mr and Ms cake had to go on errands and I have to take care of the store. Our delivery man got assaulted and couldn’t make it for his shift” Pinkie let out a sigh before looking at everyone else “So what did I miss?” this last word made Gaige and Zero feel even worse. Gaige dropping her head more.
“Tidal. Could you tell them what happened” Said Zero as he looked at his friend as did everyone else. Tidal let out a sigh.
“Well. When we left school after finishing our assignment. Since we were running late we took a shortcut, there we heard crying and then saw a little and in front of her was this student from crystal prep”
“So you went and helped the little girl who that crystal prep student was bullying” Spoke Clyde guessing what had happened.
“Way to go guys. That should teach that bully topic with someone his own size” Rainbow Dash Said with pride at her friends only for her and the rest to see that the mod with their three friends hadn’t changed.
“That is what happened. Right?” Sunset Shimmer asked as everyone had the same question on their minds. Tidal, on the other hand, shook his head.
“No. Zero and Gaige fought him and well he had the upper hand, he and Gaige exchanged insult and well Gaige got really mad and knocked him out, that’s when we found out it was a huge misunderstanding. The girl was actually his little sister and she was crying because she tripped and hurt herself” Everyone let out gasps of shock and looked back at the other two who just nodded.
“Ow!” Yelled Bronze as Discord was treating his wounds.
“Don’t be such a crybaby. Can’t believe Someone was able to do this to you” Discord spoke with actual surprise to the latter beat down.
“She was strong, not only that but had skill. Ow, watch it” Discord finished and put everything back into the kit.
“Still, this is serious.” Discord commented in an unusually serious manner.
“Uncle. Just let it go. It was a misunderstanding”
“Misunderstanding? They assaulted you and they almost let you unconscious!” Aura yelled having interrupted the conversation.
“Leave them be. I don’t need more problems”
“But Bronze” Aura tried to protest.
“Aura just stop.” Bronze put his hand on his forehead I’m gonna go to bed. Just promise me you won’t do anything rash” Discord and Aura just stare at him “Promise me”
“Ok we promise” Both said at the same time. Bronze left to his room but still feeling uneasy. Aura and Discord just saw him until they didn’t saw him.
“We are not gonna let this as it is, right? Aura asked Discord. For his part Discord was thinking.
“Well, we could do something as long we don’t break the promise to your brother” A sudden smile creeped unto Aura’s face and started to whisper at Discord ear who now was also sporting the smile as well. "Oh, you are evil"
