My first fan fic. A Quilava whos trainer is Professor Oak tries to solve a mystery in the viridian forest but winding up in Equestria has to find a way to get back to Oak. Quilava must first find help in ponyville to get back to Kanto.
Quilava a fire type pokemon who evolves from a Cyndaquil at level fourteen and evolves into a Typhlosion at level thirty-six goes into the viridian forest to solve a mystery that has baffled professor Oak. Somehow he winds up in ponyville, being a rare pokemon he disguises himself as a rodent so he is not captured by pokemon trainers. While in ponyville he discovers that there are no humans or other pokemon just ponies with special powers.
This Quilava is my OC because OC's don't have to be ponys more about this OC will be revealed in the next story.
"Hello and welcome to the world of pokemon." said an old man wearing a labcoat.
" I'm Professor Oak but people call me the pokemon professor." added Oak
"This is the story about one of my pokemon." he says while pulling a ball that was half red and half white ball with a button in the center. He throws it in the air as the ball opened sending a beam of light to the ground which turned into the shape of a slim quadruped figure with triangular ears and a rounded nose. The light then started to show color the top half of the figure turned blue and the underside a cream color, the ears having a red inside, and red eyes it also had five red spots on its back two in the shape of a"!" on its head and neck and the others lined up horizontally on its rear. The animal suddenly had fire launch out of the red spots.
"This is Quilava a fire type pokemon he has been with me ever since he was a Cyndaquil." Oak happily said " He escaped one day taking a bag one of my pokedexes but leaving a note in writing. I was amazed that Quilava was able to write, The note said
" After hearing about the mysterious reports coming from the Viridian forest I've decided to investigate it may be a new species of pokemon." I rushed to the forest but he was nowhere to be seen and I haven't seen him since.
I wonder through the forest wondering what can be causing this mess. I continue for hours until seeing a clearing in the trees, I walk thru and am stunned by what I saw. It was a flat green pasture in the distance there is a sign saying welcome to Ponyville. I know all the cities in Kanto but ponyville was new. I turn around and the forest was gone it was just more grassy fields. I see a ferret run across the field so I realised that I can make myself look like and everyday animal instead of a pokemon because I'm a rare pokemon people won't try to catch me. Digging into the dirt I cover up my blue fur with dirt while covering up the red spots as well. Now looking like a ferret other than being over twice one's size I walk towards the town. I hide my bag under a tree stump so I would not look suspicious, I walk into the town I'm surprised because I see ponies everywhere in the building on the streets. I'm surprised even more by the fact they are communicating like humans. I completely understood them but I wondered would they understand me. I know that if they could my cover would be blown so I decided to keep quiet. I then see unicorns and pegasi too, but a yellow one with a long pink mane noticed me and flew up to me and asked in a quiet gentle voice
"Are you lost little fella?" I was frozen thinking she must be joking I'm almost half the size of her but trying to keep my cover I nod yes.
" I'm Fluttershy and I love taking care of animals" she said so quietly I barely heard her. She brings me to a house that's built into a tree. The home is full of other animals but no pokemon. from the lack of pokemon I came to the conclusion there are no pokemon here just ponies. Fluttershy notices the dirt and says
"You're covered In dirt you really need to get clean" being a fire type pokemon I hate water even a drizzle I despise and also it would ruin my cover. She starts filling up a large bucket with water as I'm thinking on how to escape. She grabs a brush with her mouth and soaks it in the bucket She then approaches me with the brush I run towards the door but it won't open. Completely by instinct I face Fluttershy and my back ignites with flames shooting out of my back. The force of the flames launches of the dirt revealing my blue fur coat I let out a loud snarl as she flees to the corner with the rest of the animals. They were terrified they have never seen anything like this I felt awful scarring them. I make the fire stop all that's left was a faint glow from my spots and the charred door.
" I'm sorry...." I quietly say to Fluttershy
" I just...don't like water." I add
"You can talk." She barely is able to say petrified.
"Don't hurt me" she whimpers
"I'm not going to hurt you that was just a natural instinct you don't have to be scared." I try to say calmly
"What are you? " she asks quietly
"Well umm....it's a little hard to explain..." I say not wanting her to be completely confused
"Maybe Twilight knows what you are. She is the smartest in Ponyville." She said while opening the burned door
"Follow me." she says as I follow her out of the house.
Twilight and Pinkie Pie the Magic and Laughter Pokemon
Fluttershy Starts so ask me questions like Where did I come from, how I'm able to shoot fire out of my back and such until a fluffy pink maned pink pony bounced up to us and said.
" Hey, Fluttershy I see you found another animal friend. What is it? Oh let me guess Is it.... a giant tailless squirrel... a blue skateboard....Ohh I got it it's a....... Pokemon who is stuck in our world."
" How did you know that?" I asked dumbfounded.
" I found a bag with a plastic book in it under a tree stump when I was looking for a ball in a ball emergency." She replied, " But I broke it when I heard a pony's voice come out of it."
" Pinkie we don't have time we need to get to Twilight's now," Fluttershy said to Pinkie.
We then arrive at a tree and Fluttershy knocks the door. A purple unicorn opens the door.
" Hey Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie... What's that?" She asks
"You must be Twilight I'm Quilava a Pokemon," I tell her. Twilight stands there for a moment looking confused before saying.
" Whats a Pokemon nothing in any of the books I've read say anything about a Pokemon...Hey Spike can you take a note." a purple dragon walks to the door holding a quill and scroll.
" Dear princess Celestia Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy brought over some animal named Quilava he's a Pokemon. Nothing in my studies say anything about a Pokemon would you happen to know anything about Pokemon. Your faithful student Twilight Sparkle.... Spike send the message."
The dragon then breaths a green fire disintegrating the scroll and the ashes fly towards a castle in the distance.
" What was that? That's a complete waste of paper." I tell her.
" Spike can deliver scrolls by doing that." Twilight answers. Spick suddenly burps and vomits a scroll picks it up and reads it.
" My dearest most faithful student Twilight I've never heard of a Pokemon but it sounds interesting I would like you to along with studying the magic of friendship I want you to study these Pokemon I'm anxiously waiting for your first report on these new creatures.... Your teacher Princess Celestia." Twilight stood there staring at me until saying.
" I have to run some tests immediately." then starting to run around the tree collecting test tubes and then I notice a sharp scalpel then I yell out.
" OH NO I AM NOT GETTING CUT OPEN!!!" firing up my back I then use a powerful smoke screen attack filling the tree with smoke I use quick attack to run as far away from the tree as possible.I hide in a nearby forest and wait.
I did not have to wait long in the forest until Twilight started to look for my but she brought help. A rainbow maned blue pegasi , A white purple maned unicorn, And an yellow maned cowboy hat wearing orange pony followed her along with Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy.
" So what exactly are we looking for?" Asked the blue pegasus.
" A pokemon Rainbow Dash." Twilight told Rainbow Dash.
" What in tarnations is that surge cube." The orange pony said.
" Pokemon from what I know from what I've learned are creatures that can set themselves on fire..." Twilight started to say
" That's soo cool." Rainbow dash interrupted
" As I was saying. They can breathe smoke, talk, and don't like water." Twilight explained to the orange pony.
" Why don't I get some rainclouds and wash this thing out." Rainbow Dash suggested
I Stood there now knowing there not that stupid. That would get me on a run for my money, but I could prevent it if I jumped out and attacked them which either way would be considered a wild pokemon battle. I jump out fire roaring on my back land in front of them and say.
" Twilight you don't know anything about pokemon. I'm one of over seven hundred different species of pokemon. Also do you even know how to catch a pokemon."
" That thing is hideous Twilight dear why would you want to catch that it's a giant rat." The white unicorn screamed.
" You think I'm hideous I can't wait to see your face when you see Trubbish It's a living pile of garbage, but you look like a Rapidash just smaller and without the flaming mane." I tell her
" At least I have a scene for fashion and have manners." She yells
"Fashion Ha the one who looks somewhat interested in Fashion is the one with the hat, and you're not a lady you're a sassy pony who doesn't know what a lady even is." I reply
She stands there furious until her horn started glowing blue and fires a beam of energy at me. I'm completely caught off guard and the next thing I know I'm laying on the ground my vision blurred.
" Wow Rarity I haven't seen you fight since that time you were captured by those diamond dogs." Twilight said in aw
" Tell me Twilight why did you say this thing was dangerous he is all bark and no bite." Rarity she asked Twilight
" No bite " I say getting up
" I don't bite I burn." Then I launch a powerful flamethrower attack at them, but it's blocked by a magical field of energy surrounding them. I then notice 5 different necklaces on five of the ponies and Twilight wearing a crown tare eyes turn a bright white.
" You can't beat us when we have the elements of harmony made out of the elements of kindness, generosity, laughter, honesty ,loyalty, and magic. With the power of friendship we can overcome any obstacle." Twilight told me as a massive rainbow was shot into the sky. The rainbow then arcs over and starts coming down towards me. I've never seen an attack like that requiring six users with six specific items. There are the elemental pledges which require three starter pokemon. I brace myself for the attack, But then a force field surrounds me as the rainbow crashed down on me. I learned protect a move which protects the user from all incoming attacks for a turn, But if used over and over again it might fail. There was a massive explosion i'm left unscaved when the force feild dissapates I see all the ponies staring at me with their mouths wide open.
" How....Why....Why did the elements of harmony not work? How did you do that?" Twilight says trembling in fear.
" Protect." I say wondering how I did that Quilava's can't learn protect naturally. This was unheard of, but my thoughts were interrupted when another explosion was heard in deeper in the forest. We all hurry to the site of the explosion and find a large crack with lightning bolts flying out of it. then suddenly two alicorns land behind us.
" Princess Celestia, Princess Luna." Twilight said astonished while all the other ponies bow.
"Who's Princess Celestia?" I ask confused.
" You must be the pokemon Twilight told me about. I am Princess Celestia ruler of Equestria and next to me is my younger sister Princess Luna." Celestia told me
" Okay now that everypony has introduced themselves now. What is that?" Rainbow Dash yelled over the loud thunder.
" It's a portal to the Mystery Dungeons A series of locations In a labyrinth filled with hundreds of different species of pokemon from all over. The Portal can only let about four creatures enter any more can lead to disaster. These portals only exist in my universe so there can be many other worlds in there as well so it's completely unknown what we may encounter." I tell Rainbow Dash
" So who should go with you thew these Mystery Dungeons?" Princess Celestia asks me. I sit there thinking who should I take...
