Things barely anypony/anyone know about. Adventures and stuff about yours truly. Getting a phone, travelling to Griffinstone, a place that ponies barely know about, and more.
Things that almost nopony and nobody knew! You haven't heard of Myth Wanderer, Griffinclaw, anything. Well, mostly anything. This photo of me looks cool, although it's from the 'Internet'. Main characters, hm? Me, Bonnie, Twilight is a kind of big part, and other, since there's ponies who aren't there, who are also a kind of big part of this. I also can't believe there's humans who pose as me!
This also has notes I wrote down on the phone I have! Adventures, and things I did! Likes and dislikes? That doesn't really matter, this is mostly for telling about me.
Okay... so... there's a bold... italic? Underline, something with a line crossing an S, and a T with two arrows... colors.. yeah, I'll need to get used to this. Anyways, this is the 'story' about how I can visit the Internet! Oh.. maybe I should change the chapter name from Thanking the Egghead, to Lyra's on the Internet.. no, change that, too. You know, there's quite a lot of things on here... I'll be occupied for years!
Just my average day. Wake up, go to the bathroom, brush my mane, brush my teeth, do whatever else I do in there, have breakfast with Bon Bon, and do absolutely nothing afterwards. Well, unless you count the fact I roam around Equestria for a bit, hangout with Bonnie, and do some shopping from time to time, although these things probably don't interest anypony/anyone. But today, I visited Twilight for some more things on humans. Here's how my day went.
"Bon Bon!" I was at the door, with my bag on, ready to leave to check if Twilight had anything on humans yet.
"Yeah?"
"I'm just going to go see Twilight, okay?"
"Go right ahead. But don't take too long, I have some things planned for us." I started to walk towards Twilight's old library, but quickly realized I was going to the wrong place. I turned around and bumped into Roseluck, as probably all the 'bronies' (that's what you guys are called, right?) know.
"Hey Lyra, where are you going?"
"Oh, just going to visit Twilight for some more things on humans."
"Again!? What is it with you and humans?"
"Hey, you can't judge them if you haven't read about 'em or anything."
"Whatever.. see ya around." Roseluck waved me off. That's actually what Roseluck talks like, for all those thinking this isn't right. I arrived at Twilight's castle doors, and knocked. Twilight answered the door.
"Oh hey Lyra, what's up?"
"Got anything new on humans?"
"No." Twilight replied, annoyed.
"Aw..." I turned back, ready to leave. "Notify me when there's something."
"And when I say no, it's because I'm annoyed with your human obsession, and annoyed with that you come almost every single day to check if there's anything I have!"
"The town library has nothing left, there is no other source, and it's not an obsession!"
"If I give you something, will you promise to stop checking daily?"
"Okay, I'll check in weekly."
"Clearly, you don't get it. I give you something now, and then you never ask for any more human related things, okay?" She said she didn't have anything, and now she's saying that she does.
"No, I need to-" Beside Twilight was a bag floating, with all I could see, containing a book, and a few more items. I knew this was somehow related to humans. "Deal." I grabbed the bag and galloped home, eager to see what was in the bag. "Thanks Twilight!"
When I arrived home, I quickly opened the bag. The books cover was 'Mythology or Reality?'. "YES YES YES YES!" I hugged the book, which seems odd, although my love for humans isn't strange enough for everypony.
"Don't tell me you have another-"
"Book!!" I exclaimed.
"Great, now you're going to be buried into that book for over 3 weeks."
"No, I won't be reading or anything the whole time."
"You say that..." I dug through the bag to find a weird square , with a shiny surface, and some odd buttons on it. It catch my interest. How did I not know what that was? All the books didn't contain anything similar to this. I pressed the button on the front, leading to nothing. I then pushed the button at the right side, or what I thought was.
The weird object's shiny surface somehow projected images, and then showing a picture that had letters showing, Please select language. Beside it, was a word I recognized from humans. It said English, with an arrow pointing down beside it. I was clueless to what to do. Maybe I should leave it alone.. wait, no, this is something related to humans, and it's also really odd.
I touched the surface, and did nothing. I touched the rest of the buttons, which one made the screen change to black. I touched the button that did it again, and it displayed the images from before. I thought there was maybe a manual or something on it, so I searched the bag once more. I found a pamphlet. The cover read, Notes I've taken of my inventions and findings. I opened the pamphlet to the first page.
I did it! I finally did it! I made a phone! It's an exact smartphone, just like the ones I saw on Earth! "Wait this pony saw Earth!?"
"What?" Bon Bon heard me.
"Nothing." I continued to read on. Maybe I can contact Nikki now! Oh, thank god- um, Celestia, this is the greatest thing that ever happened to me! Okay, some notes to myself, so I don't ever wind up forgetting how to use this. Power button, right side. Home button, front-bottom. Volume buttons, left. Turn on the power, select English, and then input a passcode if wanted. Note to self: Passcode is Nikki. He loves humans too!? I curled up on the carpet in the living room and continued reading.
Skip the email if also wanted. After this, it updates the phone, and you then have to wait for it to be done. It takes you to the home screen, where you swipe if you have no passcode, or input your passcode to access everything. There's a working camera, working internet, oddly, and there's also messaging... photo gallery.. settings. The internet is a dictionary and gaming place, also with instant messaging. Not just that, but there's also ponies on it! Humans know about us! Many things here, I have yet to learn. Wait, this pony might still be alive! But, who wrote this? I flipped through all the pages quickly, and found the back.
A name was written down, along with a location. Myth Wanderer, Griffinclaw. Now this note book seeks like a manual. "Griffinclaw... where's that? Maybe Twilight knows!" I talked to myself, receiving a puzzled look from Bon Bon. "I'm going back to Twilight again."
"Lyra! But you said we'd-"
"I know! I know! I'll stay with you later!" I galloped towards Twilight's Castle, once more.
Well, I will leave off here. I will write a new chapter after I finish pages 223- 445 of the book in the bag. There's even a Medusa in this book!
I knocked once more on Twilight's Castle doors on arrival. Twilight again, answered. "Lyra, if it's about hum-"
"Do you know where Griffinclaw is?"
"Griffinclaw? Why do you want to go there? I've heard of it. It's a mountain, with a village and a cave. But there's old ponytales that say there's a crazy old wizard living there. I don't know the location exactly, but it might be in one of my books. So, again, why do you want to go there?" Twilight let me inside.
"I'm looking for somepony named Myth Wanderer. It said he lives in Griffinclaw."
"Myth Wanderer... where have I heard that name before.." She grabbed a book, and opened it to a page titled Griffinclaw. "There, that's the page on Griffinclaw. I don't remember much about this part of the book, but there might be a ma-"
"Found it!" I found a map on the back of the page. "Is it okay if I take the page?"
"NO!" Twilight grabbed the book before my hoof touched the top of the page. "I mean.. you could borrow the book..."
"Okay, thanks again, Twi!" I went outside of the castle and studied the map. This was going to be a very long trip. I headed home to notify Bon Bon of where I was going to go, although I might not make the trip before nightfall. I arrived and opened the door. "Bon Bon!"
"What?" Bon Bon walked towards me.
"I'm going to be gone for a day or so."
"Lyra..."
"I'm sorry, okay!? I'll make up for it, promise."
"Well, you have to at least let me come with you."
"Bon Bon-"
"You know you can't handle yourself very well. Just let me come with you, I won't get in the way of anything. Where are you headed, anyways?" I showed her the map.
"Griffinclaw? Where's that? Why do you have to go there?"
"To see if a pony lives there. He's the one who made something Twilight gave to me."
"Well, okay.. but let's get ready, first."
Griffinclaw. By the name, I assumed it would have griffins living there. We arrived, after passing through forests and climbing hilltops. The odd mountain had a cave, just just like Twilight said, but the cave stuck out of the side of the mountain. I could see why they name it Griffinclaw. The cave was kind of in the shape of a literal griffin's claw. It would be hard to explain, but it's like a rock balcony, in the shape of a griffin's claw facing upwards, leading into a cave, sticking out on one side of the mountain. "How are we supposed to get up there!?" Bon Bon exclaimed.
"Stairs."
"Lyra, there are no-" I pointed towards the stairs in front of us, that lead up the side of the mountain. "stairs." She finished. We climbed up the stone stairs. As we reached the top, the village stood in front of us.
"Hmph, I don't see anypony here." We walked towards the village. "Helloooo!?" I checked some of the abandoned houses. "Odd." I walked towards the odd cave I saw earlier. There was a staircase leading down towards the inside of the cave, in the ground.
"Lyra, this place creeps me out.." Bon Bon followed behind me.
"It's nothing. You said I can't handle myself, and now you're-" I tumbled down the stairs. Bon Bon rushed towards me.
"Lyra!! Are you okay!?"
"Me and my big mouth." She helped me get back up. "Let's go."
"I can barely see my own hooves!" Bon Bon complained. True, the cave was dimly lit by a few torches, attached to the walls. I didn't see where I was going, and I bumped into what I think was Bon Bon.
"Oops, sorry Bon Bon."
"What?" I heard Bon Bon's voice from behind me.
"Wait, if you're behind me... then who is-" I backed away. "You're right, maybe we should go back!" Just as I was about to gallop up the stairs, I heard a stallion's voice.
"Who are you ponies?" I jumped in shock when I heard the voice.
"U-Uhm.. w-we're.. I'm Lyra Heartstrings.. and this is Bon Bon."
"Why are you here?" Asked the voice.
"I-I'm looking for Myth Wanderer."
"Why?" Asked the voice.
"Well... I have this phone that a friend has given me, and I found a pamphlet with notes o-"
"The phone? Are you sure you're looking for Myth Wanderer?" Interrupted the voice.
"Yes. Myth Wanderer, Griffinclaw."
"Why do you seek him?" A dark blueish stallion with a cloak emerged from the darkness.
"Lyra... can we please go now..?"
"I need some help.."
"You really don't know who I am, do you? I'm the only one living here... hint, hint."
"Wait... you're Myth Wanderer!?" I asked, surprised.
"Obviously. Now what is it you desire? I'm busy."
"Doing what?"
"Do I have to tell you everything!?"
"Sorry..." I winced.
"No matter. What do you need?"
"I just told you! UGH! I have your phone and I need help using it."
"Right.. wait, you have my phone!?"
"I wish she didn't.." Bon Bon complained in the background.
"Yeah, I need help using it, and I'm interested in talking to you, too. I study humans too."
"I- I need that phone..." I winced at my phone, and then I looked at Myth Wanderer. I grabbed the phone, and I was about give it to him "Nevermind. Keep it. I'm already building a portal back. That's why I'm busy." I put my phone back, a little irritated, but the mentioning of a portal came to my interest.
"Wait, a portal to the human world!?"
"Yep."
"Is it alright if I ask some questions, if it doesn't bother you?"
"aI guess I have the time.. actually, I have all the time in the world... the portal can wait."
"Why do you live here?" He hung his head down.
"Ponies used to make fun of me for my interest in humans. As I grew up, I would still be bothered by ponies, and I had no privacy. I ran away from home, and came across this this village, where I was taken in by griffins. They treated me well, but as the time went on, they grew bitter, and ignored me. Their friendship began to crumble, and I was alone once more. One day, I woke up, alone, the only one in the village."
"I'm sorry.." I walked up towards him to give him a hug, but he put his hoof forward to block me.
"No, it's okay, really. I've grown a liking to this place. I don't mind living in solitude, really."
"But Twilight said there was a crazy wizard up-"
"That's what ponies think of me?" He sighed.
"If you'd like, me and Bon Bon could take you-"
"Lyra, don't you dar-" Bon Bon said, annoyed.
"Bon, can't you see he's alone!?" I pointed a hoof at him. "He needs to see other ponies!"
"But that isn't a reason to take him in!" Bon Bon argued. "We don't have any spare rooms, and you know you're not good with taking good care of anypony!"
"If the lady says no, it's a no. I'm fine, really. Any more questions before I return to work?" I sighed.
"Can you help me with the phone?"
"Sure. It'll take a while, if you don't mind?" He looked towards Bon Bon.
"Take your time.. it's not like we were planning anything special!"
"Alright, here's the basics." I pulled out my phone and Myth Wanderer took over, demonstrating the basics of using the phone, and showed me how to use the 'touch screen' and buttons correctly, along with helping 'setting up' the phone.
I was giggling with excitement once the lesson was finished. "Thanks for the help!"
"No problem." Replied Myth Wanderer, with his hood already taken off at the start of the lesson.
"Except.." My ears fell back, a natural thing, for ponies when they're sad, scared, and sometimes angry. "I want you to come back with us..." He sighed, in a good way.
"Guess I could use some company. About me being alright being alone.."
"You didn't really like it, did you?"
"No.. I didn't.. I'll pack up." He turned around and started to walk away to take his belongings which he needed, but then he stopped and looked back, smiling. "Thanks for convincing me." I smiled back. He turned on the lights (with magic). I was blinded by the light. Everything surrounding me was just too amazing. Bon bon, was then standing in front of me.
"Lyra.."
"I-I'm sorry.. but you know very well that humans are my passion. This guy lived all by himself, since who knows when.."
"Lyra, if you're happy, I'm happy." She smiled. She hugged me, and I pushed her gently away.
"Bonnie, I'm grown up. I don't need you looking out for me, nor do I need your hugs."
"But you do like me that way, don't you?" Bon Bon looked at me with that look.
"Well, duh!" I jumped on her, giving her a big hug.
"You'll always be my little Heartstrings, no matter what." She giggled, nuzzling me.
"Well, the faster you two are done embracing eachother, the faster we can get a move on." I looked to my right to see Myth Wanderer with a huge bag on.
"Right. Ready?" I looked at Bon Bon, who was still underneath me.
"Yeah, I guess. You could get off me now." Bon Bon giggled.
"Sorry." I smiled sheepishly. I stepped back. And so, we began our trip back to Ponyville.
The trip there and back took 2 days. Guess that's good, right? I led Bons and Myth to our house. "I thought you said that he wasn't going to live with us.."
"He could take my half of the room."
"B-but where are you going to sleep!?" Bon Bon asked, worried.
"Doesn't matter. I'll manage." I waved my hoof.
"You sure?" Asked Myth.
"Yep. All yours."
"Wow... gee, thanks! That's the kindest thing anypony has ever done to me!" He smiled.
"Lyra, we share our bed. How am I supposed to sleep with him!?"
"It wouldn't be that bad, would it? It's either him or the living room! Actually.. hey Myth, you can sleep in the living room."
"Okay!" Agreed Myth.
"Now do you think you have your privacy!?"
"It's just that.. yeah. Anyways, it's late. I'm going to bed. See ya in th morning." Bon Bon walked to the bathroom and closed the door. Myth turned towards me.
"I'm going to unpack." He walked towards the living room.
"Try not to make a mess!" I added quietly, "I could really go for a milk shake."
"Well that's random." Said Myth from the living room, picking up what I said.
"Yeah, I guess, but they're good. You want one?"
"Yeah, sure. Haven't had one since I was young." I glanced towards the bathroom, now with its light turned off.
"Actually... tomorrow, okay? Bons deserves the rest. She got scared way out of her head on our way there.. and she got scared because of you and Griffinclaw." I then went to use the bathroom.
I walked to me and Bon Bon's bedroom, where Bon was fast asleep. I got into bed and cuddled beside her. Having somepony else live with us for a while wouldn't be that bad... would it?
I woke up in the morning. I looked to my left. Bon Bon was still asleep. I kissed her forehead gently and quietly got out of bed, and went to the bathroom, then to the kitchen. I peeked into the living room, where Myth was still asleep. Honestly, I kind of imagine the name Myth Wanderer to kind of be a mare's name. His belongings were scattered beside the couch he was sleeping on.
I went into the kitchen, and prepared some coffee for Bons. I didn't know what Myth liked, so I made plain pancakes for all of us. I'm not much of a cook, but I can make some things. I set the food on the table. I went to wake up Bon Bon, and had a random thought. She calls me 'her little Heartstrings'. I giggled. "Hey Bon Bon, wake up." I nuzzled her. She slowly opened one of her eyes.
"Ungh.. huh? Good morning Lyra. What's up?"
"Breakfast's ready." I bounced up and down towards the couch where Myth sleeps. "Hey Myth, get up." I bounced to the kitchen and sat down on my chair and and began to eat. Bon Bon came to the table with a messy mane. Myth went to the bathroom. I was excited today, I don't know why. Everypony arrived at the table and began to eat.
"How long's Myth staying?" Asked Bon Bon.
"Until he finds a new home. Besides, it isn't that bad having a new housemate."
"Is that even a word?" Bon Bon had a puzzled look.
"I dunno, beats me." I finished eating and put my plate in the sink.
"Thanks for taking me in, guys." Said Myth.
"No problem." I went to me and Bons room to see my phone's capabilities. I picked up my phone from the counter, and went to the 'Appstore'. Myth said that you 'download games and apps' on it. Some are free, some cost money. It brought me to a 'what's new' page. In case you didn't know, which you probably didn't, I control the phone with magic. Hooves aren't very efficient with it. I went to a game called 'Angry Birds', and 'downloaded' it, just like Myth instructed. After it 'finished downloading', Myth came into the room.
"Hey Lyra, what's you up to?"
"How do you play this game?"
"Hm, lemesee." He leaned in for a closer look. "Open it, and press play. It's a pretty fun game. Be warned, it's addictive. It's hard to stop playing." I clicked play. He showed me how to complete the first level, and then he restarted it so I could try. I completed it, first try! I got all the way to level 30 or something, and I couldn't stop playing. Myth had left, and I was alone, laying down on bed, playing on my phone. I didn't hear Bonnie come in. "Lyra, you've gotta stop playing on your phone. It's ruining you!"
"What are you talking about!? I'm perfectly fine!"
"Have you even looked in the mirror?"
"UGH.." I walked to the bathroom and checked myself in the mirror. My mane was messy, my eyes were red, and I had bags under my eyes. "I. Look. Terrible!! You're right!! But it's so addictive!"
"Just leave the phone alone, and spend some time with me. Come." Bon Bon did a 'follow me' expression with her hoof.
Me and Bon Bon were walking on the road. I trusted Myth to stay home alone, so he could continue building his portal and whatever else projects he has. "You know Lyra, we've been together for as long as I remember."
"Yeah, I guess that's true." I leaned a little closer to her.
"But I was thinking we should make it.. official."
"Bon, everypony knows that we're together." I smirked.
"But wouldn't you like to have a wedding?"
"I dunno."
"Besides, everypony would attend it, right? Just like the last one."
"Well, there was a problem with the last wedding in Ponyville. You had to go 'fight' that Beebear, which you never did, and you came back, again, without helping to defeat it. Twilight and her friends did all the work, but yeah, everypony did attend it. I approve of a wedding for us as long as you don't go too far as to wanting foals, because that's where I draw the line."
"I wasn't even planning on saying that."
"Sure you weren't.." I said, then giggling a little. We arrived to our destination. The park. Me and Bons usual bench stood in front of us. In fact, we use that bench so much they should engrave our names into it. "So.. we sit down on our bench?"
"Yup." Answered Bons. I sat down, in my usual position. Bon Bon sat in the strange pony way.
"Why do you always have to sit like that?" Bon Bon wasn't pleased.
"Why do you always have to sit like that?"
"Because it's normal."
"Whatever."
"Do you want me to clean your ears?" Bon Bon asked, which may sound odd to some ponies/people.
"Bon Bon, why do you pamper me?"
"I'm just taking care of you.."
"Which honestly, I like, but still.." I layed down on Bon Bon's lap. She started cleaning my ears.
"It's because you're special to me."
"I love you Bons."
"Aww, I know you do Lyra." Bon Bon smiled. "And so do I." After she was done, we walked back home, as there was nothing really to do. I found Myth in the living room.
"Back already?" He turned around.
"Yep." Said Bon Bon. I walked up to Myth.
"Ya know Myth, I was thinking.. Myth Wanderer could also be a mare's name."
"And..?" He raised a brow.
"Just saying. It does, doesn't it?"
"Actually, it kinda does." He smirked.
"So, watchya doing?"
"Putting the finishing touches on the portal." He smiled.
"Awesome! Is that your only project?"
"I got a few other things." He shrugged.
"Like?"
"Well.. there's this necklace I'm making so that when you put it on, you can transport items through the portal. I'm also making a bracelet that makes you a human."
"Are any of them done?"
"Well.. almost. Everything should be ready by tomorrow." I walked to Bon Bon, who was in the kitchen cooking dinner.
"What are we eating?" I asked.
"Carrots." Replied Bon Bon. I looked at the clock that hanged from the wall. It was 6 P.M. I went to try out my phone once more. This time, I checked out the internet. I, again, followed Myths instructions in his tutorial he said. I searched up humans, then boats, then cars, planes, trains, and images of Earth and the moon, and I found planets called Mars and Jupiter, which then interested me in finding more, and I learned there's also Pluto, Venus, and Neptune. And I knew there was a sun, obviously.
Then I suddenly had a thought. I searched up ponies. When I clicked on images, I hid under the blanket. "What kind of sick image of ponies is that!?" They were Hideous!! They looked nothing like ponies! I clicked on the search bar, about to delete my search, when I saw 'suggestions' under it. Only two caught my interest. My Little Pony, and Pony groomers, as the other searches were either 'Horses' or 'How to tell if your horse is a mare or stallion' or even 'how to take good care of your pony'.
I clicked on Pony groomers, and immediately went back. It involves those dreaded images! I clicked on 'My Little Pony', although it seems like a human book about ponies or another pony care website. What I found almost made me blush.Real ponies. Twilight and her friends, me, Bon Bon, Octavia, Vinyl, practically more than half of everypony that exists, all there, on the Internet. Even Spike and Discord were there. "Humans know about us.." I didn't know how I felt.
I liked having fans of me, especially fans on everypony, but I felt all my privacy gone. I searched my name up on the Internet. Fanfic, images, everything. I searched Bon Bon up, and the same things popped up, even websites with info on us! Some were real information and things, and some weren't. Not even a quarter was right. Not even half a a quarter. I searched me and Bon Bon's names up. Lyra Bon Bon bench. Lyra Bon Bon hugging. R34..? What's that?
The moment I clicked, it, I threw my phone at the wall. No joke, my phone actually has a dent in it because of me throwing at the wall.. ugh, you got me. Some of the dents and cracks were because of games. Yeah, in real time, I actually stopped raging from games and stuff at my phone. "Lyra, Myth, dinner's ready!" I galloped outside of the room.
"Coming!!" I sat down at the table before Bon Bon even set down the food, and before Myth even moved a step, although he was standing up with a blank face after I passed him.
"Woah, you seriously can't be that hungry!" Exclaimed Bon Bon. Everypony was sitting down.
"Nope, I'm not."
"Well would you care to explain why you're so eager to get to the kitchen?" I looked up, still chewing, mouth full, and said 'humans', but instead, it came out like this:
"Hwuemwens" They both stared at me.
"What?" Asked Myth. I swallowed.
"Humans."
"You're way too eager to continue what you were doing with humans, weren't you?"
"No!!" I suddenly yelled. "I mean.. no." They both eyed me suspiciously. "What?"
"You aren't going back to your phone or reading your book, but you said humans." Said Bon Bon.
"Yeah, I just made a shocking discovery."
"What?" Asked Myth.
"R thirty four."
"What's that?" Asked Myth.
"You don't wanna know." Now now, this doesn't mean I'm done with humans. No sirree. I'm still into them, just that your 'r34' and 'r64' is disturbing. I'll continue the next chapter, where it place in the morning, where some weird things happen... well, kinda.
I was woken up by a bright flash. I checked the clock. 6 A.M. I looked at Bon Bon, who was still fast asleep. I quietly got out of bed to investigate. I looked towards Myth's couch, and, he wasn't there. Okay, let me fill you in. Yesterday, he showed off his portal, which worked, or as he said, although he didn't go through it. When the portal is turned on... agh, this is too hard to explain, I'll just draw a quick picture. Note that it won't be 'art'.
There, those streaks appear when turned on (thanks to TheFablequestria for uploading my image). Anyways, back to the story. The portal was still there, and on it, was a sticky note. I took the note and read it. I'm sorry, but I have to go. You guys can't see me anymore. I went back to the human world and I'm staying there. I shut off the portal, and there's no way what so ever that let's me come back. Thanks for taking care of me.
For some reason, the note seemed fishy. I walked around the room, searching for any trace of Myth. I had a feeling he hadn't really left to Earth forever. I looked at the side of his couch. It was really dark, but I could see a slightly different color beside the couch. I used a light spell, and my horn emitted light. There, was a pony, holding up her hoof, shielding her face from the light. The pony looked an awful lot familiar.
Do you know why? You should've guessed it by now. The pony looked like Myth. "Go away!" Said Myth, or, what seemed to be him.
"What.. happened?" I looked him over. He wasn't a he anymore..
"I don't wanna talk about it.."
"Come on, explain yourself."
"Do I even have a choice...?" She mumbled to herself. "I was way too eager to test out my portal. I woke up and did just that. Only problem is, when I came back from the portal, I.. this happened."
"You're a mare.."
"Ya think? I'm really not enjoying myself.."
"Well, you're a pretty good looking mare."
"I don't care! I wanna be myself again!! Besides, how will your marefriend react when she sees me!?"
"Marefriend??" I smirked. "Bons will probably just be surprised or worried for a bit. Nothing serious."
"Well, I used to be a stallion, now I'm a mare, and this is going to affect me deeply."
"Well, until we fix this... if it's fixable... no more testing, okay?"
"Whatever. Wait, how's this going to affect me if I go through the portal aga-" He then mumbled to himself.
"No. More. Testing. Now get some rest, we have like 3 hours until we wake up."
"Fine, but it's gonna take me a while to sleep. This is uncomfortable.. I mean the changes..."
"I know what you mean. It's obvious that there's changes. Just try your best to sleep." I walked back to me and Bons room to sleep.
I was woken up by the sound of Bon Bon screaming for a moment. I kind of wanted to laugh, but I didn't. I walked to the living room, where Bon Bon was looking at Myth. Bon Bon had her eyes wide open. "Lyra... what happened??"
"Gender swap." I shrugged. "The portal did it."
"She jumped when she saw me." Myth smirked.
"Well, is it normal to see a pony that looks like a stranger In your home!?"
"Calm down Bon. He- she's not a stranger."
"Lyra, this is what happens when you bring something.. or anypony... home."
"It was bound to happen anyways."
"If you two are done chatting, I'd like to eat now." Myth said. Bon Bon sighed.
"Fine." We sat at the table and started to eat.
"I'll go ask Twi for help."
"Who's Twi?" Asked Myth.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle, a friend of mine."
"You're friends with a princess!?"
"Yeah?"
"But aren't Princessess always busy and stuff?"
"Sometimes. Myth, you're coming with me."
"Aw.." We finished eating and me and Myth prepared to leave.
"See ya later Bons!"
"Bye.." Me and Myth were walking towards Twilight's castle.
"So.. what's it like to have a princess as a friend?"
"Well.. there's not really any difference between a princess friend and a normal friend."
"Really?" We soon arrived at the castle doors. I knocked again, and Fluttershy answered.
"Oh, um, hey Lyra. Whose this?"
"Hey Fluttershy. This is Myth Wanderer, a friend. Can I please speak to Twilight?"
"Oh, hello. I'll go check." She flew back inside. Twilight came out.
"What do you wa- whose this?" Myth bowed down. "Oh.. heheh.. you don't need to.."
"Oh, um, sorry. I'm Myth Wanderer."
"You actually went to Griffinclaw!?"
"Duh. And that wizard? He's just a stallion that was alone."
"Well, where is he?"
"She." I corrected. "He got turned into a she. She said she went through her portal, and when she came out, she was a mare."
"Portal?" Twilight asked, puzzled.
"A portal to the human world.." Myth mumbled.
"The only portal got destroyed." Twilight looked at me.
"No no no, we're talking about the actual human world."
"Well, I can't really help you.."
"Oh please please please help make me normal again!" Myth grabbed onto Twilight's shoulders and pleaded.
"Woah.. uhm.. I- I don't know.. I could do a gender swap spell, although it would be temporary."
"Aw.."
"I don't know how to, I'm sorry. I'll look into it, though. If I find anything, I'll tell you guys." She put a hoof on Myth's shoulders.
"Well.. bye I guess?" Twilight went back inside, closing the doors, and leaving us two at the door.
"Let's head home.." Myth didn't want to be a mare. I don't know if there's a way to cure hi- her.. but for now, she'll just have to deal with it.
All three of us were at home, eating dinner. "Ya know Myth, as long as you're a mare... you should adju-"
"No, I'm not adjusting. Adjusting in this situation is bad. I'll probably never want to be a stallion again."
"But you'll become more comfortable. I'm not asking you to go on a date, I'm just asking you to accept life and live like this until.. or if... you change back."
"Adjusting how?"
"Well... you know... since there's so many... 'changes'..."
"Oh no. No no no no. No toilets."
"You could be a pretty good looking mare if you tried."
"No. Toilets. No. Dates."
"Fine. Just come into me and Bons bedroom when you've finished eating." I went into my bedroom. I picked up my phone once more. I went to the Internet, this time, searching My Little Pony, and scrolled through the pages. I was about to click on a link, but before I did, Myth came in.
"Uhm.. why did you call me?" I turned off my phone, and put it on my drawer.
"To help you out. Like I said, you're a beautiful mare. You even have a beautiful voice! But if you don't want to go date, that's fine. You need to get adjusted. First, mares don't hangout too much with stallions. Look everywhere, and you'll see what I mean. It's mostly mares with mares and stallions with stallions."
"Um.. okay."
"Myth, I get that you want to change back, but it can't be done. We just can't."
"Okay." She sighed. "What do I need to do?"
"Well, your mane is actually okay being messy."
"Uh.. what does have to do with me getting 'adjusted'?"
"Nothing. Okay, first, you need to us-"
"No. Toilets."
"You have to. It's natural."
"Isn't it enough that I'm a mare, but now this!?"
"Lyra! I need to talk to you!" Bon Bon was calling me from the kitchen. I walked to the kitchen, where Bon Bon stood, holding a basket full of envelopes.
"Uh... what are these?"
"Wfr Tw Wdnmhm."
"What?" She placed the basket on the table, unmuffling her mouth.
"For the wedding, silly."
"Wait.. you're not expecting me to-"
"Yes, you have to deliver the envelopes to the mailponies."
"Okay, good, because I thought you were going to make me deliver them to everypony." I grabbed the basket and went to the door. "See ya!"
I arrived at the post office. I placed the basket on the counter. The pony who was at the counter looked at the basket, then me. "You want these to be mailed?"
"Well, yeah." I said cheerfully. "These are for the ponies who are invited to me and my marefriend's wedding we're host-"
"Look hun, I'm not interested." She grabbed the basket and handed it to a cross-eyed pony. "Deliver these." Derpy raised a hoof to her head and flew away with the basket. I didn't even have time to say hi.. but I bet these ponies are all busy. I headed home to help Myth out.
"It's that simple."
"Y-you sure??" Myth was nervous. I'll leave the guessing part of where we were to you.
"Yes, now just use it before you break something." Myth "did it". When she finished, she stood up quickly.
"See? It wasn't that bad now, was it?"
"I'm done." She walked fast to the living room, where I followed to see her grab her wrench and starting to unscrew a nail from the portal.
"Myyyyyyyyth..." She glanced at me.
"Wh-" I sprang and hugged her.
"No inventions!"
"Why.. why are you hugging me?"
"Because."
"Because...?"
"Because I love you."
"In which manner?"
"In a friend manner." I said, smiling.
"Okay, good." She returned the hug. "But I'm still not going to stop."
"Myth, just let it be. You'll learn to like it. Just give it a chance."
"But if I don't like it?"
"Well.. then you don't like it.."
"So then I will contin-"
"Okay, the reason I don't want you to do your inventing stuff is because I don't want you to get hurt."
"So I barely moved in and you already care that much for me? Wow.." She smirked.
"Yeah, I care for you. I care for anypony." I smiled.
"So I guess you can stop with the loving thing now?"
"Only if you promise to give this a chance."
"Promise.." She sighed. "Still, you could be a beau-" She raised a hoof to my mouth to stop me from talking.
"Fine." She took her hoof away from my mouth.
"But we could get you a temporary/first date."
"I'll get a date if I feel- want to, and I don't."
"Just give it one chance? I'll give you something in return if you don't like it."
"Like what?" She tilted her head.
"L-like what!? Um... your phone back?"
"Look, I don't need anything in return. If I go on a date, will you stop?"
"Yes."
"Geez, why are you so eager for me to go on a date?"
"Because I love you." She looked at me, considering what to do.
"I love you too, Lyra." She finally hugged me. I did a little victory dance in my head.
