When Sweetie Belle introduced to a popular card game, she and her CMC along with Spike and two new ponies start their new adventure.......
In Equestria, a company group that the equivalent of the human world's Bushiroad called BushiPone spread a new card game along with the show on their new invention, gaining great deal of popularity for all of the world, become ponies daily life. When Sweetie Belle met a colt who gave her, Blaster Blade, she was drawn into the game along with the show's hero, Aichi Sendou, and strives to surpass him. Along with her CMC friends, Spike, and two new ponies friends, Nova Stellar and Light Pulsar, they now aim to tackle Canterlot first Vanguard Fight Championship while at the same time, to learn of becoming a true 'vanguard fighter'.
"A group of company ponies called Bushipone, came to Equestria before the coronation of Princess Twilight Sparkle without a warning as after the Everfree forest event, it start to spread Equestria's first ever TCG (Trading Card Game) here in Ponyville and the first one that gains a great deal of popularity that attracted foals to mares and stallion alike and even the griffons too was Cardfight!! Vanguard. This game is one of favorites to all ponies' hobbies all over of the countries as many ponies began to spread rumors of Bushipone came from the human world who actually the equivalent of their Bushiroad. Despite that, it attracts millions of ponies from Las Pegasus to Manehattan and so far. Then Bushipone announced of their new inventions that use crystal shards from the Crystal Empire and their highly secret technology to create a device that also another equivalent to human's tv, the CrystalVison or CV. With that, they also release of their show of the game, causing the series to gain a huge amount of positive view. Thus, Vanguard became a part of ponies daily life as while it release other card games like Weiss Shcwarz, a game that pitted characters from other shows against each other and Future Card BuddyFight a game that mostly did attract half of the ponies, Cardfight!! Vanguard remains one of the best Trading Card Game of Equestria. And thus a new filly starts her adventure........"
A red dragon clad with gold armor was charging an armored pony with a spear on one hoof and the shield on the other while riding on a dragon. Then a dragon with two swords appeared the red dragon as it slash it with its sword and then slash at the armored pony who block the attack with his shield.
"Pitiful Nehalem", a translucent red colt appeared and insulted. "You won't survive my Blazing Flare Dragon for that long!"
"Heh", Nehalem said "It's that how you think?"
Then with a great force that both warriors pushed out as a thunder boom echo as both warriors now face each other in a wasted land.
"I got you!"
"You got nothing!" Nehalem insulted. "There is no chance you can defeat me."
"What?"
"Time to show you the true Kagero dragon right now." With that the dragon knight glowed bright red. "NOW RIDE THE VANGUARD!" As the wasted land hear his cry, the ground start to shake up as flames rise up and engulf the knight. Once that's done, the knight now transform into a crimson dragon with a sword on the right. "COME FORTH THE CRIMSON DRAGON REAPER, DRAGONIC OVERLORD!"
"No way....." the red pony/dragon gasped as his legs start to shiver in fear. "Not that dragon......no....no....."
With that the dragon prepare to attacked, shouting flames from its mouth.
In a card store, a violet mare with a mane similar to Rainbow Dash, watches a crowd of ponies watching a Vanguard battle with the red unicorn filly with a mane that give out a flaming style hence the cutie mark against a silver earth colt with a brown mane that at first give out a similar style to Toshiki Kai and a cutie mark with shooting stars. He got up with a hint of disinterest after the battle.
"That's game. We're done."
"I can't believe you beat my Blazing Flare Dragon!" the red filly said, holding his card. "I just pulled it out from Onslaught of the Dragon Soul set, yet you still win with your deck that hardly change! What's with your luck?"
"Luck? Get real, you sounded like Morikawa would say." he insulted him as he turn to leave.
"How dare he..." the red filly muttered on his defeat.
"Your wining match as usual are you, Light?" another voice was heard as the silver colt saw another colt came with a emerald coat and a spiky yellow mane with a cutie mark symbolize emeralds all around.
"Hey, Emerald."
"Hey Light, so you haven't lost a single match, buddy?"
"Not one bit."
"Sweet!" he said with a eagerness. "Hey there, is there anypony out there who better at Vanguard than this guy?"
"Don't know, don't care." the cashier replied with disinterest of his question.
"Well if nopony would say then I would say, Light Pulsar, the next Toshiki Kai, is the best!" he said, placing his hoof on to his chest which he knock it away and headed out of the store.
"Hey, man! Just because he got skills similar to him doesn't mean he's the best!" the red filly look at him incredulous.
"Yeah right, newbie!" Emerald insulted him with a smile.
"What did you say?!" the red stallion shouted, going to buck him only to be restrain by another filly who is identical to him.
"Calm down, brother!" the other red colt trying to calm him down, but so far no luck.
"Is the newbie being ticked out by being a sore loser?" Emerald voice was heard before an angry filly voice was heard.
"If my brother hadn't hold me, your going to be sorry!"
"Yeah, right."
"So that's it?" his thoughts raced looking down a bit. "Is that all of the challenge that this place have? These easy games doesn't satisfied my soul enough."
"Is there anypony who's better around here?" he look up to the sky a bit, hoping to find a powerful fighter.
Meanwhile, in the SchoolHouse in Ponyville, most of the fillies were listening to Miss Cheerilee for the lesson on history of Star-Swirl the Bearded. Most of the fillies were amaze by how Miss Cheerilee explain it in exciting way, but some aren't.
"...and with that, Star Swirl the Bearded use the spell to calm of the reign pony clans that clash each other in the pre-classical era before Equestria was formed when he lead the Swirl clan to end the fighting! But then the Dark clan summoned their most powerful dark dragon to fight the heroes!"
While she continue to make the history exciting, Sweetie Belle just look at the card of Star-Swirl and the Dark Dragon that most fillies have for the lesson.
True that Star-Swirl the Bearded may stop the dark clan. her thoughts said as she pulled out of her saddle bag and grab her mini book and open out to revealed a Vanguard card with the illustration of a white gallent knight pined down his sword and hold it out on her hoof. But there is one thing that Star Swirl might need help against it. My knight, Blaster Blade the avatar of Aichi Sendou!
In her image, the dark dragon able to dominate the battered Star-Swirl the Bearded while his magical knights fought other dark ponies. When the dark dragon shouting out dark flames from its mouth to incinerate him, a white blade block the attack and protected him. Then out of no where was a white knight got into a fighting stand with his sword to slay the dragon.
"Who are you?!" the dark dragon growled at the newcomer.
"I'm Blaster Blade! I have come from the United Sanctuary!"
"Minions! Get rid of that thing!" the dark dragon ordered as more dark ponies came from underground and surrounded him.
"Let's get rid of him!" all of them shouted as they charging at him while he prepare his sword.
After her image is done, she smiled a bit for her knight card as in the back row seat, the same red filly place the book in a standing position and pulled out a booster pack and open up. Then he look into the new cards, desperately but he slump down a bit with disappointment.
Man, I just bought another Onslaught of the Dragon Soul booster pack in hoping to get another Kagero unit! his mind echoed a bit. I suck....
No, it all because of Light! his mind screamed as a flashback happen when he lost against Light.
I used to be the best Kagero master player in Cosmic Card! He had some nerve to just waltz in there out of nowhere and beat me with a trial deck that he hardly change! I need more cards to help me.
Then he saw her still fixated her card spacing out a bit. Hey what does she is happy about? Wait a second......his eyes peeled to the card that she was spacing out a bit. A vanguard card and not just any Blaster Blade.......A SP version! That's the most rarest and the expensive card I might need for my deck!
With that, she then store back into the book and put it on her saddle bag as the school bell ranged. Most of the ponies began to walking other directions, going back home while some stay here and start chatting. At the front, Sweetie Belle and her fellow Cutie Mark Crusaders begin walking down to Ponyville.
"So, Apple Bloom, any ideas of what talents we should do to get our cutie marks?" Scootaloo, the orange pegasi filly, asked while she riding her scooter in a normal pace.
"Well," the light yellow pony put her hoof to her chin to think about before replied. "We can try to help Twilight and Spike cleaning the library. After all, today is Twilight Time; we going to have another lesson from her."
"That can work, but we need to put on our disguise so we won't be recognized by our classmates."
While the others talked of other talents they try to do, Sweetie Belle then thinking about something that drift her mind. Usually she always thinking about getting her cutie mark or to impress her sister Rarity but now when she saw some of fillies starting to play Vanguard, she then thinking of something else. Wonder if I able to be ready to face him..... she thought about it, gazing to the skies.
"Sweetie Belle? Sweetie Belle!" Applebloom's voice snapped her out of her trance, put her back to reality in which she was staring at the skies.
"Huh? Wha...?" she looked to her friends with their expression of confusion.
"Are you paying attention?" Scootaloo asked her. "We going to the Golden Oak Library for another lesson and to ask Twilight if she need any help. We need to get our disguise from our home first and we'll meet you at the library."
"Oh right." she realize about it, feeling a little dumb a bit. She then walk to the direction to the Carousel Boutique as she open the door, she then trotted to her room as she got some of the disguise from it. Before that, she look around to make sure that her sister, Rarity isn't watching. Then she pulled out her saddle bag once more and look to the Blaster Blade card. You always there to be with me.......my knight....... her thoughts said as she put it back, she got it ready and headed outside.
But before she can head there, a hoof then reached out to her shoulder and jerk to the side of the building. She then found herself corner between the twin red colts.
"H-Hey, what are you......?!" She tried to confront them, but her fear of surrounding by bullies prevent that as a hoof slam to the side of her head, scaring her.
"Hey, Sweetie Belle, is it? You do remember me do you?" the red filly said in a calm yet abused tone.
"Yeah.....I know you......you're.....Burn......" She hoped that she recognize that name. "Along with your brother, Inferno....."
"Great, now cut the introduction, so why didn't you tell me you're a Vanguard Fighter?" Burn sneered at her.
"Vanguard....Fighter?"
"Don't play dumb with us! If you a card, then you must be familiar with the game. You got some, right?" Burn then narrow her eyes at her. She then realize that they must saw her looking at her knight back at class.
"W-Well, I hardly play......it.....but I'm not exactly......what you mean.......", Sweetie Belle trembled a bit and look down as she fidget her hoof a bit, hoping that they'll understand but as the twin brother look at each other, with a grin, Burn look back her.
"Yeah, whatever, so show me the card you had on your saddle bag." He pointed to the saddle bag that she gripping on as with a tremble of fear, she then handle over to them slowly as he quickly grab it as he then digging through her stuff until he found her notebook and open to reveal to them much to his excitement.
"Ha, ha, no way it's Blaster Blade!" he then take the card from it and look at it. "With this, I can finally beat that jerk!"
"Let me see!" his brother asked as he showed to him, he was in pure excitement too. "No way, a SP ver! Awesome!"
"How about we'll go to Cosmic Card today?!" Burn excitement as his brother agree and began to take Sweetie Belle's knight away from her and starting to gallop away.
"No! You can't take that card away from me!" Sweetie went after them. "That card is a special gift!" But before she can caught up with them, Inferno then trip her, causing her to fall to her stomach.
"Don't bother. You're not a 'real' Vanguard Fighter." said Burn as he wave her card at her. "And with a card that strong, deserve to battle everyday so I'll take it away from your hoof!" Then he turn to his brother."Ok, let's head to Cosmic Card!"
With that, the two brothers galloping away from her, but she then slowly got back up. "G-Give back my card! You....can't have it...... that's not yours......." With got her hooves back, she then follow them to retrieve her card back.
At the new card shop that's from the far left of Ponyville, Cosmic Card, both the twin brothers enter, his younger one catching his breath while Burn scanned the room until he found the silver earth pony who look over to his card along with his emerald unicorn colt as he trotted down to them.
"All right, I challenge you!" he said, giving them attention to him.
"You're no challenge, kid." The silver earth pony said, uninterested.
"You talk like your the big shot, but I upgrade further and I want a rematch to see who's the best Kagero master right here and now!", said Burn who clench his hoof a bit, holding his deck box while at that, still Light Pulsar look disinterest while Emerald Flare look at him chuckled nervously as the silver earth pony then ignore his challenged. "No."
"What?! Why...?" Burn disbelief of his decline to have a rematch.
"You may be good, but you lack foresight and your strategy is pretty weak. All you care is pure power. If I face you again, you'll just be a waste of time, so why bother?" The silver earth pony said to him, mostly causing him to gather much anger while his friend just said, "Dude that's harsh."
Then with a train whistle noise, his eyes were now in fire before returning them to normal, but not being riled up by him."Oh, you think I'll be a waste , huh?! Well if you beat me...." He got out a card from his deck and show to them. "......you can have this card!"
"Ah, no way! That's Blaster Blade and it's a SP version!" Emerald said in excitement as he got out of his chair. "Those thing are a super rare and the expensive card that I ever seen, that's great man!" However even Light looked at it, with a little interest.
"Blaster Blade.......could that be that card......" he muttered.
"So how about it?!" Burn said to him with a fury passion in him.
" *sigh* Fine." He said as he wave his hoof for Emerald to off the chair.
"Oh, it is on!" Burn said as both players now start their cardfight.
Meanwhile, Sweetie Belle catching her breath, trying to chase the two fillies that stole her card. My card.....My.....card......had to......hurry......her thoughts said as with her stamina she kept running to the direction that the fillies went.
As the same time, Burn starting to struggle with the cards in his hoofs. "Seriously, c'mon! What's with my luck today?!"
"Luck is not needed." The silent silver colt slam a card on the table. "Now, Ride the Vanguard!" With that, Burn flinch knew that what card he ride, he's in deep trouble.
Outside, Sweetie Belle finally reached the card store. "So this is where the colts are." With that, she enter, and saw Burn lost the battle.
"Six damage so that's game." The silver colt said, picking up his cards.
"No, c'mon another rematch!" Burn said, still holding his card until Emerald take one of it.
"He said that's game, so a deal's a deal." He then throw to him lightly. "Here buddy!"
With that card in front of him, he look at it as if he's trying to recall a memory or something else. Blaster Blade....his mind said still not taking off this card.
"C'mon buddy, you won!" Emerald trying to cheer him up until another voice was heard from the front.
"Give me back my card, Burn!" The others turn and saw a snow white filly with dual light purple and pink mane and tail, looked like she ran into a marathon.
"Who's she?" Emerald asked them.
"Sweetie Belle." Infernos replied to him.
"Burn, give my card back! C'mon that's card mean to me!" she begging him to return it but he grunted to her, "Listen, I...don't had it anymore."
"Missing card? You mean that one?" Emerald pointed the Blaster Blade card.
"Yeah, that's my card. My knight." She was about to get it back, but Light then swiped it away from her. "Uh, please give it back......"
However, he look at her eyes with the same look that Toshiki Kai did, causing the answer that shocked her : "No.......that card belong to me now."
Everything is silence for the others, as Emerald trying to confront him. Sweetie Belle was shocked by him that he won't give her special card back to him. It's like when Aichi trying to regain his avatar from Morikawa when he and his friend Izaki stole it from him and Kai now got it in a Vanguard fight.
"But...." She tried to reason with him, only that he got back up.
"Perhaps that you need to learn and respect of the term of a Vanguard fight, don't you think, little filly?" His eyes now turn to him in which she look at him too. "This guy bet me the card and lost." Burn then growl a bit, looking down.
"So...can....I....have it back?" Sweetie Belle tried asked him once,but it the same answer.
"Sorry, but what was lost in Vanguard Fight, can only regain in Vanguard Fight." he take a glimpse to his prize.
With that, she then felt that she had no choice but to do it. Even if I'm not ready, I had to. If Aichi can do it, then so can I. her mind said as with a familiar determination, she said to him,"Fine, I'll fight you to get it back!"
That cause the others to be surprise by the filly determination, even the earth pony mare too as everything in silence. Light then stare to her eyes, seeing through her mind if she worthy to face him. After that, he closed to them and open with a little interest. "Very well, little filly, it's a deal."
"Hold on!" Burn got back up and pointed at her. "You hardly play Vanguard! You don't even had a deck, do you?"
"You're right, I hardy play Vanguard," she then grab her saddle bag and got her deck case with her deck, causing the twin brothers be surprised as she look to it. "But I train with this deck so much secretly until I'm ready to face him."
"Say what?" Burn confuse by her answer.
"Take a seat and get comfy." Light pointed her to sit down in which Emerald push Burn out, even calling him 'newbie' as she got to the chair and sat down.
"What you so happy about?" Burn asked him, still holding his grin.
"This battle...we about to witness the next Toshiki Kai and a filly who hardy play it in secretly....this is going to be hilarious!"said Emerald, still holding his grin.
"Stop say that Light is the best! With the right cards I'll...." He was cut out when Light now glare at Sweetie Belle in which she still hold her determination even she flinch a bit.
"Since this will be your first 'real' battle, I'll explain the rules as we go, ok?" Sweetie Belle nodded. "Oh, yeah, your deck may be at least 50 so otherwise you need this Blaster Blade, right?" He show the card to her in which she also nodded.
"Yeah."
"So, you can borrow it, until I beat you and take it back." He then threw to her in which she got it in her hoof.
Blaster Blade......"T-Thank you." She then put into her deck and start shuffle it as Light also did the same.
"You're leading a card and you're going to explain the rules? How unusually sweet of you, Light." Emerald remarked of him as once done, Light place on the table.
"You're done? I'm going to explain the rules once, so you better listen." He hold a card as both place their starting Vanguard on the Vanguard circle.
"Now close your eyes and imagine........our spirits taken us to another world, similar to both Earth and Equestria called Cray." He explained to her as both close their eyes, both of them are at their spirit forms indicated by the translucent version of themselves. "In this form, there are two type of powers given to us. One of which will allows to summon the monsters from the planet, Call. But first we need to draw our first 5 cards from our deck." Both of them draw the same amount of the cards they did. "If there's a hand that you don't like, you had one chance of redrawing the same numbers of your hand. It's important to have hand of Grade 1, 2, and 3. So how's your hand?"
"Mine's good." Sweetie Belle said with no worries.
"Good, now the cards you draw can both attack and defend. These are your units." He pointed to the cards in his hoofs as Sweetie Belle understand it well. "Each of the cards have a power and ability written on to the text of it. And there's the second power of our spirit forms."
"Seriously?" Burn felt bored of this lecture.
"Dude." Emerald trying to quiet him down.
"The second power is to posses our unit called Ride. The unit that we merge with is called our Vanguard, you got it? The word Vanguard means the one who lead the way."
"The Vanguard........lead the way......" Sweetie Belle muttered.
"Now the objective of the game is to land your opponent six damage on their Vanguard. Yours is a Starting Vanguard, Grade 0 and no trigger indicated into it, right?" He looked the card that Sweetie Belle placed it in the Vanguard circle.
"Yes." She said with no worries.
"Good, now we flipped ours and say in unison 'Stand up Vanguard'." Both of ponies got ready to flip their starting Vanguard. "Ready?"
"Stand Up...." both began.
"The...." the stallion added.
"Vanguard!" Both of them flipped their cards as a blue and red Vanguard circle activate from it. With that, both of their spirits that they imagined changed into each of the starting Vanguard. Sweetie Belle changed into a bipedal 'human' kid with a trumpet and Light changed into a lizard warrior.

"You start each of your turn by drawing a card, then you Ride your Vanguard with no more than Grade 1 or above. Then stack that unit on top of the Vanguard." He showed to by Riding a Grade 1.
"Ride, Embodiment of Armor, Bahr!" (G1/POW 8000)

Then with that, the dragon transformed into a demon clad armor with a vicious sword. "Once you Ride your Vanguard, you can Call units from your hand as long if the Grades are equal or less." He also showed another example by Call another unit to the rear guard circle behind the Vanguard.

(G1/ POW 6000)" She Ride a human sage card that almost look give an impression of being a studious student and Call a bat ear dog carrying a dagger as with that, the human 'kid' transformed too as well the bat ear dog appeared too.

"Good, looks like you're catching up. So are you going to attack?"Light asked.
Sweetie Belle nodded in response. "I-I attack your vanguard."
"Okay, turn your vanguard to the 'rest' position to signal the attack." Light said as Sweetie Belle did what he told her to do.
"Marron will attack your Vanguard."
"One thing is when your Vanguard attack, you can increase the power by support it from the unit in the back row. The Grade 1 units have a 'Boost' symbol under the grade and the only units along with Grade 0 can boosts." Light pointed out the symbol on her card's Rear Guard Boost symbol.
With that, she understand and 'rested' Wingal too."With the support of Wingal, Marron will attack your Vanguard."

"No guard." he said. "Now when your Vanguard attack, you need to reveal the top card of your deck. That's called drive check."
Sweetie Belle then reveal the top card from her deck and reveal another copy of Little Sage, Marron.
"Look for the trigger symbol on the top right corner. If there isn't there, you add it to your hand."
"Then my attack go through?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Yep."
With that, Marron use a spell and fires lighting bolts from its hand and landed damaged into the demon.
"Your attack had hit my Vanguard. Now I do a damage check." He check the top card and reveal a Dragon Monk, Goku (G3/ POW 1000), a human with a grin, wielding a spear, and placed it into the damage zone. "It's important to check for triggers when doing a drive check and/or damage check. They'll help you to turn the tide of the battles. As for now, I'd one damage and if you give me five more, then my forces will vanished from the surface of Cray. In other words, I'll lose. Does that make all that sense?"
"Yeah." Sweetie Belle nodded in understanding.
"Good, now that your catching up, it's my turn." he said as he drew a card. "Ride! Dragon Knight, Nehalem! (G2/1000)" as he said this, his 'Bahr' transformed into a human shaped naval dragon knight wielding a spear and a shield on top of a dragon. "Next, I call Bahr! Ride the Vanguard!" With that, another demon placed on the left side of the dragon knight.

"No mister nice, Light, huh?" Emerald remarked of this.
"Looks like Sweetie Belle doesn't stand a chance.", Burn snicked at this while the mare cashier look at the battle a bit before back to reading a book.
"Bahr, will attack your Vanguard!" said Light as he 'rested' it.
"Um both Bahr and Marron have the same attack points so then......" Sweetie Belle wonder about it.
"If both the attack points are the same, the attack go through." he answer it for her.
"Then that's means I'll take one damage and another from Nehalem, putting me at two." she said with a hint of surprised.
"True but you can weaken your opponent's attack by using the cards from your hand to guardian circle. That is called Guard. However you need to guard as long the card you guard's Grade is equal or less to your Vanguard."
"Then I guard with Bringer of Good Luck, Epona! (Shield - 1000)" She then placed it to middle of both mat or the guardian circle.

"The shield power number that indicated on the side of the cards temporary add to your Vanguard's power. (Marron -1800) Bahr's power isn't strong to break through. My attack hadn't gone through, however since you use that unit to guard, it has to go to the drop zone." Light explained it further to her as Sweetie Belle then placed it to the drop zone beneath her deck.
"Next, with the combine power of Aermo, Nehalem will attack your Vanguard. (Nehalem - 1600)" he said as he 'rested' both units next.
"Um, no guard."
"Okay, drive check." he said as he pulled another card as it reveal to be a armored dragon knight. With that, the dragon knight slash the sage, as for Sweetie Belle, she also did a damage check and reveal to be a human conjuring a magic shield.
"Kay, now it's your turn. When your units are in the rest position, you need to stand them before you draw. That's called Stand and Draw." Light explaining more of the rules.
"Okay, Stand and Draw." she put her 'rested' units into 'stand' and drew a card. "I Ride, Knight of Silence, Gallatin! (G2/1000) Then I call Marron(G1/8000) and Flogal! (G0/Stand/ 5000)"

With that, the sage transform into a blindfolded knight, draw his sword as right on cue, another sage appeared in the left and a pink dog too behind the sage.

At the same time, both do their respective drive/damage check and reveal to them as no trigger , they place it into the hand/damage zone.
"Next, Marron is coming after your Vanguard with the support of Flogal! (Marron - 1300)"
"Not going to let that happen!" he then guard with another copy of Flaming of Hope, Aremo. (Nehalem - 1500) "Your attempt had failed!"
"Guess that means that's the end of my turn." she said in a disappointed tone, then look a bit to her and his damage zone. At least I damage him a bit. If I can continue defend and attack, I'll might barely win. she thought to it in which, Light smirked at her.
"Why your so happy?" Light asked her, somehow reading her mind. "Do you seriously think I'll end that way?" He stand his units and drew a card and then face her. "Time for your final lesson."
"I call Wyvern Strike, Tejas (G2/8000) and Jarran! (G1/6000)"

"Imagine it. The forces that I'm about to use." He grinned at her in which she flinch a bit.
"Bahr will attack Marron!"

"Next with the boost from Jarran, Tejas is coming at your Gallatin!" (Tejas - 1400)
"I can't....guard that attack."
"And here's a little bonus from Jarran! An extra +4000 to my Tejas! (Tejas - 1800)"
With that, the mechanical wyvern shot multiple rounds at the knight who holds on the ground as Sweetie Belle did a damage check as no trigger placed it on the damage zone. (D- 3)
"Now where both at 2 damage. Guess that means we're tied."
"Oh, I still got one more attack. With the support from Aermo, Nehalem attack your Vanguard! (Nehalem -1600)"
"1600 power?!" Sweetie Belle flinch a bit.
"You sure that's enough?" At the drive check, he reveal a card in which that card glows yellow. "Embodiment of Spear, Tahr but look at the top right corner."
Sweetie Belle was astonished by it. At the top right corner there was the symbol that he mention. The trigger symbol that he trigger that he drive check.
"This is the trigger that I was explaining before. There are 4 types of trigger, Stand, Draw, Heal, and Critical. The blue trigger, Stand, allows you to re-stand your rested rear guards, the brown trigger, Draw, allows you to draw an extra card, the green trigger, Heal, allows you to heal one damage as long as your damage zone is more than your opponent, and finally the one that I trigger, the yellow one is the Critical Trigger, allow you to do an extra damage to your opponent and all triggers have a +5000 extra power bonus that you can give to your Vanguard or Rear Guards."
"Then that's means....." Sweetie Belle dared to asked.
"That's means you'll be taking two damage and once I take the lead, I won't stop there."
(Nehalem - 2100/2 criticals) With that, Nehalem pointed his spear as with enough lighting energy, he shot out of the tip of the spear as with wild energy now crashes onto Gallatin causing him great damage. With seeing the attack, she flinch almost lost rocked out of the chair but Burn and Emerald able to catch her.
"Whoa, you ok?" Burn somehow concern for her as with two damage taken, both cards flew from her deck and into the damage zone. (D-4)
"Two damage...putting me at four....that can't be good....." Sweetie Belle muttered.
"Looks like you're able to imagine it. Witness, true Vanguard!" Light replied as Sweetie Belle able to get back to her seat. At the same time, the mare earth pony look a bit to the battle again before back to reading.

With that, she stand her units and drew a card. Then suddenly she was surprise by the card that she drew and close her eyes a bit.

"What's wrong? Have you lost the will to fight?" Light taunted her a bit as she disagree and holds a chuckled.
"Um, Sweetie Belle?" Burn confused by her.
"Now I understand why this battle is whole a lot of fun." she said feeling a little happy. The others were confuse as if she knew Light before like how Aichi knew Kai in the first episode.
"Do you know her or something?" Emerald ask him only to give a silence treatment.
"I always hope we can fight each other when we see each other." she said open her eyes now filled with determination in which Light hold a grinned.
"I knew it. Your name is Sweetie Belle, right?" Light guessed it in which she nodded.
"That's right, Light. And now, you gave the power to stand up before you today." She then reveal a white regal knight that she always attached to it.
"Heh, I see."
"Here I go! From the blade of noble justice, shine your light to defend the weak! The avatar of the legendary fighter is with me! Stand up, My knight! Blaster Blade!"
With that, a surge of energy course through Gallatin and before it, he transformed into the same knight only now, Sweetie Belle 's face was now showed with her curly hair now in the right direction.

"I knew it. Your name is Sweetie Belle, right?" Light guessed it which she nodded in approval.
"That's right, Light. And now, you gave me the power to stand up before you today." She reveal a familiar card regal white knight card that she always attached.
"Heh, I see."
"Here I go! From the blade of noble justice, shine your light to defend the weak! The avatar of the legendary fighter is with me! Stand up, my knight! Blaster Blade!" She slam the card into her Vanguard as 'Gallatin transformed into the same knight, only now, Sweetie Belle's face was showed with her curly mane on the right side.
At the time, the others look at the battle that's being going. Sweetie Belle, the younger sister of Rarity, now face against Light Pulsar in Vanguard. At first, Light taught her of the rules of the game because she hardly play it in 'secretly' , but even she dealt with his onslaught, she able to stand strong until she ride her knight, Blaster Blade. The earth pony mare look at how the battle somehow gotten a little interested. Sweetie Belle stared a bit at him, herself in her image change into the same knight, only now her faces appeared as her mane is in the same direction as when Aichi imagine into his avatar.
"Blaster Blade, huh?" Emerald remarked at this. To think this filly can still keep toe to toe or hoof to hoof with Light Pulsar like how Aichi face Kai the first time.
"Man, what luck. With cards like that, she might stand a chance." Burn also remarked at this too. With Blaster Blade now appeared, Light stared it down with a cold look.
"Blaster Blade's skill activate!" She then flipped two cards from her damage zone. "Counterblast 2 cards from my damage zone, I retired Tejas." With that, Sweetie Belle/Blaster Blade slam his/her sword down to the tip as lighting energy in the ground now headed to Tejas as with consumed him, he disappeared into a crimson sparks as Light then placed it to the drop zone.
"Now I remember you. Your Sweetie Belle, your one of the fillies that I met you at the park, right?" he guessed it in which she nodded.
"That's right. If wasn't for you, I would giving up on finding our cutie marks that me and my friends always trying to find any talents." Sweetie Belle then closed her eyes and remember that day that change her life forever."I've always know that the world that I love so much is turning upside down."
Flashback
At the time in the park, Sweetie Belle, was depressed, slump her head down a bit to the bench, not noticing a younger silver colt looking at her while packing a few stuff in his saddle bags.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked with concern to her in which she look to him. "Why the long face? Did something happen to you?"
"Well, me and my friends tried to find any talents to get our cutie marks, but so far, none of them works and even though I can wait patiently, I getting tired of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon picked on me and my friends so much! And I tried everything I can to help them, but usually I end up making trouble for me and my friends." she explain with a hint of frustration then being sad.
"Well, to find a true talent so you and your friends can get your cutie marks isn't easy and sometimes things are always going to be hard in life, but you know what, don't ever let anypony dismisses of your quest to find it. Just always never give up on your dreams." he said with a grin to her in which she nodded with a half smile yet still sadden look, then decide to leave.
"Wait, kid. Hold on." he stopped her in her tracks then look at him again, this time holding a card to her and not just any cards, a trading card that hardly anypony ever play. " Here, take this. I want you to have it."
She was confuse at first, then took the card and saw the illustration of a homid like bipedal being clang his sword down on the majestic stairs.
"See that, you really got yourself a noble knight that looking after you. So c'mon, cheer up!" he said with enthusiastic, that she flinch a bit. "Whenever there's a road that you and your friends can't overcome, imagine yourself big, strong, and inspiring like the warrior in the card. Like the legendary fighter, Aichi Sendou!"
"Um, I...I don't....know..how..." she stammered a bit, but receive a laugh from him.
"Well no not at first, but as long you believe in those close to you and yourself and to use the power to help those who can't help themselves not to abuse it, then there nothing in your way becoming big and strong like Blaster Blade!" he said.
"You mean, I'll get stronger for those I care?" she look to her card with her eyes now gleaming with a renew hope.
"For now, that imagines can be your power like the legendary fighter!" he said with his usual smile that might even rival to Pinkie Pie's.
"Ever since I got that card from you, life in Ponyville has being normal to me now as one point, I receive a Trial Deck and a CrystalVision from Bushipone. I put into the clubhouse so my sister won't notice because of how she seeing them as 'uncouth' and I being inspired by Aichi Sendou from the show so much that I want to surpass him. But to do that, I want to battle you so much, I even trained so much with imaginary opponents to understand my first deck's skills. But before I'm ready to face you, you never came back." Sweetie Belle explained to him.
"Yeah", he closed his eyes, agreeing with her.
"You know, I'm able to forget the awful things that me and my friends struggle." Sweetie Belle closed her eyes while Emerald look at the twin brothers with a little glare that they shake their head in disapproval. "I still can't imagine being stronger like Aichi, but the pony who able to help me is you Light." She then open her eyes in which, he had a cautiously look.
"I call, Gallatin! (G2/ 1000) This battle is my way to thank you for everything you did for me. For you to believe in me and my friends and to never give up on my dreams. That's all I needed." Sweetie Belle said.
"With the boost from Flobal, Marron attack Nehalem! (1300)", she 'rested' them in which with no sound, he did a damage check and place it to the damage zone.
"Next with Wingal boost along with his skill, Blaster Blade attack Nehalem! (1900)" she did again which she drive check and no trigger was found and added to her hand while did it again with only silence, he do a damage check and no trigger was founded and placed it to the damage zone.
"No way..." Infernos was remarked by this.
"This can't be the same Cutie Mark Crusaders' Sweetie Belle that I've know from school." Burn was stunned to say the least.
"And now, Gallatin comes at your Vanguard!" Sweetie Belle declared in which like usually, he did a damage check without a sound as in the image, both knights clash their sword/shield at each other, blocking their attack as back to Light, he placed the fifth damage to the damage zone.

"Whoa, five damage?!" Infernos was amazed by this.
"Light is going to lose." Burn snicked a bit. "Just one more and it'll all be over soon."
"Don't get too excited. Light haven't break a sweat." Emerald said as true to them, he wasn't flinching from this. No something else than that closed eyes with a calm look. "I'm certain that he got some plan to make a counterattack."
"Ok, it's your turn." Sweetie Belle said with a smile to him.
" Heh, I taught how to be happy? I think you misunderstood, little filly." he smirked at her as she was confused by this. "I don't care of your feeling one bit. I just want you to play Vanguard, so I can beat you and crush your dreams and hopes in a way that no bullies can't."
"Oh, that's just cruel!" Infernos was disgusted by this.
"No wonder why I couldn't beat him. That stallion is pure evil." Burn remarked and disgusted by him with a glare to him while Emerald stay silence a bit in one mind repeated.
Light, you wouldn't do such a awful thing? He'll be disappointed in you if you do that.
"That's not true!" Sweetie Belle said in a desperate tone. "The Light I know will never do something like that!"
"Heh, Shut up!" Light raised his voice that flinch her. "I'm not the same colt you know. You just made up in a fairy tale in your head! I......I......" He then stand his units and place his hoof onto his deck, but surprising that only she can see, she can see flames in his hoofs and a translucent human hand was in the same place too as both of his and the translucent human hand drew a card. She then saw the rest of him : somehow, she able to see Aichi's rival Kai as a translucent image to Light as both saw the card they drew, they smirked at her.
What did I see? Light's becoming like Kai? she think to herself.
As if that wasn't enough, his voice was sync into Kai's too. "I guess it's time to show you who I really am. NOW RIDE THE VANGUARD, BURN THIS WORLD TO ASHES WITH YOU APOCALYPTIC FIRE!" He slam the card to his vanguard which a flame malestrom envelop the dragon knight and transforming him into into a crimson dragon that roar out of the flaming malestrom. "DRAGONIC OVERLORD!!!!!!"
The knights were stunned to say at the least as with the dragon out of the malestrom, it's yellow, vicious eyes now set on burning them.
"It's amazing.....", Sweetie Belle was stunned too seeing the same ace card that Kai used in the show.
"That's the one he used on me!" Burn said, feeling a little guilty that she now going to face it.
"This battle is over. I call two Dragon Dancer, Monica! (G0/ Draw/ 5000)" With that two of the same female dance appeared in either side of being the attacker or the booster."Then I counterblast three cards from my damage zone. Dragonic Overlord reach its power at +5000. (DO- 1600) Shall we?" He smirked at her, which she grunted a bit.
"Will the support of Monica, Bahr will attack your Blaster Blade! ( Bahr -1400)" he declared.
"Stardust Trumpeter will guard my knight!" (Shield 1000) (Blaster Blade - 1900) With taking the full swing of the demon sword and disappeared, Blaster Blade block the next one.
"Not done yet! With the boost from Jarran, Monica will attack Blaster Blade! ( Monica - 1100)" he then 'rested' the next units.
"Gallatin will guard that!" (Shield -5000) (Blaster Blade -1400) Sweetie Belle use the last card on her hand as in the image, Gallatin block that attack and disappeared.
"Whoa, she survived that!" Emerald praise at her for guarding that attack but she then pant a bit for guarded two attacks.
"You used up your entire hand to back me up? It's too bad that my attacks haven't finished yet." Light said with a grin as he 'rested' the last two units for the final attack.
"With the boost from Aermo, Dragonic Overlord, attack Gallatin!" (DO - 2100)
"What?! Why Gallatin?!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed by this as he start his drive check and reveal another copy of the overlord, the crimson dragon now shot out flames from its mouth, it incinerated him turning him into million sparks.
"That means, Gallatin is retired." She placed it to her drop zone, then her eyes widened by this. If Dragonic Overlord gains +5000 and defeat a rear guard, then that's means.......?! she thought about this in realization as with that, Light still holding that smirked at her, meaning that he read her mind.
"You got it right, with that effect, Dragonic Overlord Stands up!" he putted it into a Stand position. "Now I'm going to enjoy burning your forces into a crisp, that's Dragonic Overlod's ability : Eternal Flame!" (DO - 1600)
"Then your attack will be?!" Sweetie Belle dared to asked.
"Marron will be next! And with the drive check....." He reveal a copy of Bahr as just like Gallatin, the crimson dragon burned the sage into ashes.
"Now Marron is also retired...." Sweetie Belle placed it into the drop zone.
"Again, Dragonic Overlord, Stand up!" he re stand it once more with the flames dancing around.
"Say good bye to your knight! Dragonic Overlord, attack Blaster Blade!" With that, the crimson dragon shot out the flames as Sweetie Belle/Blaster Blade brace for it.
"Drive check.........Now that what I'm talking about! Critical trigger! Giving everything to my Overlord!" he reveal another copy of Embodiment of Spear, Tahr which glows yellow. (DO - 2100/ crit - 2)
"That's means......." Sweetie Belle jerked up a bit.
"That's right, 2 more damage for your 4th damage making you at 6." Light said as the flames hit her/him, she/he screamed in pain of the scorches of the torrential flames. "It's over."
Sweetie Belle felt sadden by this. She lost. She lost the battle and there's no way that she'll pull a heal trigger like Aichi did. Now she lost her knight forever. With that, she silently placed the fifth damage.
"About time." Burn said with impatience.
I'm sorry Blaster Blade.....I'm sorry.....Aichi.......she then pull the last damage check and reveal, a bright green light glow a bit surprising her and Light too as well as the others. With that, she couldn't believe what card she revealed.
"That's the Yggdrasil Maiden, Elaine." With that, the green fairy healed the wounded knight as he got back up from it.
"Then that's means.....", Sweetie Belle said as a new voice was heard from the right side as she turn and saw the counter earth pony mare.
"That's right. When you trigger it, you can heal one damage as long as your damage is more than your opponents." she explain to her.
"So that's means......"
"The battle isn't over." Light finished Sweetie Belle's sentence as she then pulled one of the flipped card from her damage zone and place the heal trigger to replace it. Now my damage is at the limit. she think to herself at this.

"Now, your turn to shine, Sweetie Belle." Light said as with squeezing her hoof she nodded as she stand her units and drew a card looking at it.
"I don't believe what you said, Light. " Sweetie Belle said.
"Oh, yeah?"
"You expected me to give this card to me so you can bullied me latter. Even is that's true, then I don't this card will be inspiring to help me and my friends through tough times nor even the legendary fighter you speak of. I always remember the day that I lost hope that you were kind enough to regain it back. I've always look up to you." she explain as she closed her eyes remember the Light that once cheerful and happy.
"Heh, what a joke." Light shrugged it off.
"No, no matter what you said, this Blaster Blade become a beacon of hope and meant everything to me. That'll never change. My memories and my heart tells the truth." She then place her hand near to her head. Suddenly, bluish aura outline appeared to her that only Light can see as her voice is somehow sync together with a familiar voice. Then a translucent version of Aichi appeared together with her that surprise him. " I can picture how the battle goes. I can picture it my Blaster Blade as he lead the way to victory!"
"I call Elaine!" (G0/ Heal/ 6000) With that, the same fairy who healed her/him now in the side to fight beside the white knight.
"With the boost from Flobal, Elaine attack Dragonic Overlord." (Elaine -1100) Sweetie Belle declared as the green fairy charge the crimson dragon.
"I guard with Bahr!" With that, Bahr block that attack and disappeared from it.
"Aw man, he guarded that!" Infernos whined of the outcome.
"C'mon Sweetie Belle!" Burn cheered for her while the counter earth pony mare look at how the battle goes.
The filly had one more attempt but Light hold one more defense card. With the boost of Wingal plus its skill, Blaster Blade power will be at 1900. It won't be enough to break through to Dragonic Overlord if guarded by Tahr which it'll put it at 2100. she think to herself.
"Here I go, with Wingal support plus its skill, Blaster Blade will attack Dragonic Overlord!" she said as within the image, Sweetie Belle/Blaster Blade with her/his battle cry now charges at it in which Light grunted.
I've dreaming together ever since. To face against you. her thoughts raced as she remember the time that while other fillies are playing, she look at her cards.
"Let's do it together, Blaster Blade!" she said holding her card from her hoof. Then she also remember how Light is the one who gave her a new hope.
"I guard with Tahr!" (Shield - 1000) (DO -2100) Standing in the way was a warrior carried a spear that block the white knight's attack. "Sorry your not going to get through me this time."
Sweetie Belle gritted her teeth a bit. There only one thing to do. her thoughts said as she now place her hoof onto her deck. Please Aichi, lend me your strength.......She then close her eyes, feeling the aura of the legendary fighter to heed her call then she open her eyes.
"Drive trigger check!" As the suspense grew for everypony, she slowly drew it and peek at what card that she reveal, it glows brightly yellow."A- a critical trigger!" It was true, the card she trigger is Bringer of Good Luck, Epona.
Light grunted a bit as the others were shocked by this. This is like seeing the legendaries fighters Aichi Sendou face Toshiki Kai all over again but this time, it's like seeing the double of them. (Blaster Blade - 2400/ 2 crit) With the trigger activate, Sweetie Belle/Blaster Blade slash the warrior, which disappeared into red sparkles, then with the battle cry, finally stab the crimson dragon as sparks flew out as the crimson dragon roared into defeat as it now disappeared too. Then her/his sword finally impale the ground on the tip as the dust clear, she/he saw the spirit of Light Pulsar.
"That attack is quite too much......even for......my......Dragonic Overlord........" he then starting to disappeared too. " Now I'm a......spirit....my forces.......is now.......vanishing from the Planet Cray........"
"So you've......", Sweetie Belle/Blaster Blade understand what he meant as not before saying the three words before vanishing into nothingness : "I have lost."
After that, Light starting to get his cards back. Sweetie Belle was too shocked to say the least along with the others. She won. She actually won against Light in her 'real' Vanguard fight, just like Aichi. Emerald was surprise to say the least but his grin remained the same as he remarked at her victory. "Nice, you beat him."
Then, Light got back up, scarring the twin brothers, not knowing what he'll do next but with a silent look, he pick the Blaster Blade card and threw to her, which she was shocked but caught it anyway. "But Light....."
Then he turn and without looking back, he said before leaving in which Emerald tried to catch up with him. "That was you card after all."
"C'mon buddy cheer up." Emerald said trying to catch up with him on the same pace level.
"Light!" Sweetie Belle called him, got out of the store and just standing there on the front as he stop a bit, not looking back while Emerald look at her. "Thank you again."
Without a word, he just walk away without turn back to her while Emerald gave her a grin before walking with his buddy. Sweetie Belle just smiled at this day. We did it my knight. her thoughts said as she take a glance at her card. Inside of the card shop, the twin brothers decide to leave grabbing some of their stuff and headed back home without any reaction to her. The counter earth pony mare look at her with curiosity.
While at that, Light then began to walk to home alone then take a glance of the park that he and Sweetie Belle met. He then continue walking toward that direction, thinking about the time that he gave her hope to her as the sun setting for the dusk.
The next day, Sweetie Belle found her Crusaders friends from the front of the school as they wondering of where she had been. Not wanting to know because of them thinking that they'll dismiss, she lied to her friends about couldn't find her disguise in the Carousel Boutique and found that Opal had torn most of her disguise. Then as they take their seat, Applebloom and Scootaloo explain of what they did on Twilight Time. Turns out, they learned of new skills on assemble a bike and to make a elixir. Twilight was wondering of where she was cause she also need to practice on using a broom with magic, something that she need to improve in it. With the class starting, Ms. Cheerliee now teaching on famous poets authors as after the bell rang for a long studying, the students are now heading outside for recess as Applebloom began to discuss of finding their cutie marks, however, Sweetie Belle, being the spacey member of the Crusaders, got her mind on the recent battle that happen yesterday. With that bell rang as they headed back to class to turn in their own poets they made, Ms. Cheerliee now apparently now discuss on the history of the Buffalo tribe. After the last bell rang, all of the students now packing their stuff and headed outside of the school. Applebloom and Scootaloo ask Sweetie Belle if she want to go on their cutie mark quest, but to most of their shock, she said no because she had some stuff to do for her sister as while they say they'll meet each other at the clubhouse, they left leaving her by herself.
She then look around a bit, then pulled her deck box and pull her Blaster Blade card. Still I can't believe it.......she thought it smile at her card as she heard of the twin brothers getting ready to go to Cosmic Card.
"So you want to Cosmic Card?" Inferno asked him.
"Of course, I got to tune my Kagero deck." he replied as they left, she put her deck back and hurried to them while they're chatting.
"You really love the game."
"Or to be the opposite, Vanguard loves me."
"Burn!" She called to him and stop to catch her breath.
"What do you want?" he said in a neutral tone and a disinterest to her.
"I was wondering if you want to have a Vanguard fight?" she asked him sincerely which made them surprise.
"So you want to beat, eh?" Burn replied with a grin to her, but she shook her head.
"No, not exactly. I'm still new to it and I was wonder if you and your brother can help me and teach me a few things?"
"Teach you?" he thought about it but put a scowl on her. "Look I don't need to teach to a rookie like you."
With that, they left her but instead of being discouraged she whisper with a smile. "Kay thanks."
Not after that, she can still hear of them saying that Light being one of the best fighter lost to rookie like her as the commented of him showing up in the store. She then headed to the park sitting down on the edge of the lake, looking down a bit. Then she heard some of the fillies now starting to play Vanguard. Each of them commented of which of their deck is the strongest or ultra strongest or mega ultra strongest and so on. She smile at them as she then gaze the clear blue skies, closing her eyes and remember of what Light had said : Imagine yourself big, strong, and inspiring.
That's right. Like him, I'm a Royal Paladin. And I get strong from each battles I fight on. her thoughts said as she imagine herself once more as Blaster Blade and look to the two spirits that she dearly want to battle. Light..........and Aichi............
She then open her eyes with a happy expression but as she look around, her expression turn sad as she got up and headed around the town. She then stop at the familiar card shop, Cosmic Card. The place that she won her first 'real' Vanguard battle. She then headed inside as the only pony that was here was the counter earth pony mare.
"Hi"

"Nopony is here." she commented.
"Well, it's still a little early." the counter earth pony mare said not taking her eyes out of the book she's reading.
"Oh." Sweetie Belle then head to the table where she and Light battle each other, placing her stuff down and sat down. The counter earth pony mare look at her with a sympathy to it. Sweetie Belle then take a quick glance at the show, where Aichi was in the tournament facing against Kamui, then turn back and she sighed a bit.
"Are you waiting for somepony?" the counter earth pony mare ask her.
"Well the sliver earth stallion that I battle.....he......he probably hate me now.......", she replied with feeling bad a bit. And after all of these training.......she thought to herself as the counter earth pony mare look to the front a bit with a smile to her.
"I think you need to look again." she said as Sweetie Belle look to the front and saw two familiar colts coming.
"Light, you came!" Sweetie Belle said with pure happiness.
"Hey there, Sweetie Belle, glad you came." Light said still holding his silent voice yet also holding a smile.
"Hey there!" Emerald raise his hoof with his signature grin.
"Hey, um I was wondering......", Sweetie Belle was stammered a bit before a chuckled from the emerald coated unicorn.
"Say no more, how about battle me first?" But before she can answer, a voice from the front was heard.
"No way!" The others turned and saw the twin colts came too.
"I got dibs on her first!" Burn said placing his hoof on his chest.
"Then me too!" Infernos added as Burn saw Light, he then flinch and freak out by it.
"What's wrong?" Light got a narrow look to him while Emerald was laughing at them.
"*laughing* That's so good! You guys are too funny!"
"What are you doing here?" Burn asked Light.
"So much for that." Infernos hung his head a bit.
With that, Sweetie Belle smiled at this. Those that she met through the game became her friends. With that, she said with a genuine feeling. "Thanks so much you guys."
Now with trading card games became the ponies daily life. One of the card games is the biggest of them all, Cardfight!! Vanguard. I've never thought that it'll change my life forever like the show did.
With that, all of the fillies starting running to get to their table and start battling. With Emerald shuffle his own deck, Light look behind him and saw Sweetie Belle now shuffling her own deck too as one of the card dropped down to the Vanguard circle and her knight was there.
It was a new start for her with the game............
With the trigger activate, Sweetie Belle/Blaster Blade slash Tahr out of the way and with their battle cry sync, stab Dragonic Overlord which exploded into red sparkles. Then with the sword now impaled to the ground, she/he saw the spirit of Light Pulsar.
"That attack is quite too much.....even for my Dragonic Overlord........." he then starting to disappeared into nothingness as Sweetie Belle/Blaster Blade understand what he meant. "Now.......I'm a spirit...........my forces.....is now.......vanishing from the Planet Cray................I have lost..........."
"SWEETIE BELLE! SWEETIE BELLE! SWEETIE BELLE!" Applebloom and Scootaloo said as Sweetie Belle snapped out of her memory lane and saw her Crusaders friends, having annoyed yet worried looks.
"Huh?"
"Sweetie Belle, are you paying attention?! We still need to discuss of finding other talents that we haven't tried yet to get our cutie marks!" Applebloom said, holding a list of other talents they listed. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were having a meeting on the usual crusade for their cutie marks on their clubhouse near to Sweet Apple Acres.
"Oh, y-yeah....", she stammered a bit.
"You haven't been yourself lately. You always being joyful on finding which talent that you think is the best that we should tried, but some reason you no longer anymore." Scootaloo asked with a hint of worries. "C'mon, tell us what your thinking?"
However, she flinch a bit and with scratching her mane, looking down a bit, she face them and said "Nothing, just nothing. I'm fine, girls really."
The others turned to each other then facing her with a hint of suspicion. "Well, all right then."
With that, Sweetie Belle now join with the conversation for what other talent they haven't tried. However, there one thing in her mind that echo without giving a slip up :
The next day, Sweetie Belle woke up a little bit early and trotted from her room upstairs to the kitchen where her sister, Rarity, is preparing a healthy dandelion sandwich. After a few bites, Rarity told her that she's going to be home late because of bring her new dresses creation for Sapphire Shores as with that, she drop her to the schoolhouse where Sweetie Belle's crusaders friends were waiting in the front. As when Rarity went back to the Carousel Boutique to get ready, the bell rang as while all of the fillies went inside (including the twin brother catching their breaths from galloping because of getting something from a store or something), Ms Cheerlie review them on the lesson of Star-Swirl The Bearded for a test coming next week. While most of them taking some notes, including the Crusaders, Burn was looking at some new cards from the new booster pack set BT-03 Demonic Lord Invasion, chuckling happily that he got some new powerful Kagero cards beneath his book so Ms. Cheerlie assume that he was paying attention. On recess, while everypony is playing, the Crusaders were at the bench, still thinking of the talent that they haven't tried yet placing a paper with the list of the talents that they listed, indicated by most of them were crossed.
"So any talents that we haven't tried yet?" Scootaloo asked.
"Well, to be honest, no......Applebloom?" Sweetie Belle replied, facing her.
Applebloom then brainstorm a bit but as the same, she said, "No, not even a single idea comes to my head." She then turn to her Crusaders friends. "Well, we could tried to go to Twilight for some help on which talent that we haven't tried yet."
"But didn't you two already went there on Twilight Time yesterday?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Yes, but we just need some help on any talents that we haven't tried. After all, maybe you should come too. You need to make up of what lesson you miss from her." Scootaloo said.
"Well....ummmmm.......", Sweetie Belle then turn her heads sideways, scratching her back mane a bit causing the girls to look at her curiously. "You see......girls........I'm......just going to had to miss it."
"What?!" both of them shocked in unison.
"Your just going to miss another lesson from Twilight?! Why?!" Scootaloo exclaimed.
"Well...........there........something......that I had to do........and it's very........important........", she stammered a bit causing another suspicion from them.
"What important thing your doing?" Scootaloo narrow her eyes at her. Sweetie Belle starting to flinch a bit and sweating a bit. She knew that her friends aren't going to let her out of this. Maybe just tell them the truth. she thought to herself. It's better than to let them know of your secret, than to left them in the dark.
But before she can answer, the bell rang for recess is over. The Crusaders sighed at this each of them either felt annoyed or relief at this as they headed back to the classroom and to their respective desk and sat down. Ms. Cheerliee then discuss the class on different ponies who earned a special cutie marks. While Sweetie Belle paying attention, Applebloom and Scootaloo nodded to each other. Sweetie Belle's hiding something from them and they decide to follow her to find out her secret after school. After the last bell rang, all of the fillies say their goodbye to Ms. Cheerliee and headed out of the school. Applebloom and Scootaloo then lied to Sweetie Belle that they're now going to Twilight for a help on finding any talents that they missed. With that, they left her, leaving her to pack her stuff however, they quickly hid in the bushes on the left. Then Scootaloo peek quietly to make sure that nopony knows that they hid here.
"Ok, we're set, Applebloom." she assured her which she nodded in approval.
"Ok, so now it's operation finding Sweetie Belle's secret." Applebloom said. "We need to find out what Sweetie Belle being hiding from us."
"Yeah, as friends, we shouldn't keep secrets from us, but now Sweetie Belle just kept something from us to know." Scootaloo agreeing with her.
With hearing her coming out, they now peek quietly at her, walking out of the front. Then they saw the twin fire colts classmate starting to running to her. To them, these colts are known to be the average of their class and one of them Burn is known to be to all colts as 'the hot shot' for unknown reason and also very protective of his little brother, Inferno. This cause them to have a little social to some colts .
"Hey, Sweetie Belle!" he called for her in which she turned around and saw them.
"Oh, hi you guys." she said as once caught up with her, Burn wrapped around his hoof on her neck making her nervous yet holding a smile.
"You not going anyway, Sweetie Belle. You think that you can get away with us, eh?" Burn said " We got other plans for you." Sweetie Belle sighed a bit, still not dispel her smile.
While at the bushes, Scootaloo's and Applebloom's eyes widen at this scence. "Oh no, Sweetie Belle is now hanging with those guys!" Applebloom whispered as she imagined of them doing something awful to her.
"Yeah, you going to handle over your saddle bag or something." he said holding her while she was crying.
Then they continue peeking at them, making sure that they know of what they going to do. "Because today, I'm going to show my full strength! Hope you're ready for a beating!"
"You want to battle me again?" she asked as Burn then got her in a neck lock.
"Are you good enough to fight me?" he said with cocky childish tone.
"No, I didn't mean like that, Burn." she said being honest to him.
"Well then, what are we waiting for?" Inferno said, holding both of their saddle bags with a happy tone.
"To battle!" he said with a triumphantly voice that kings from the middle age usually said as they now taking her somewhere while hearing voices like 'You going to face me next!' and 'Of course, if not let him have it' as once the coast is clear, Applebloom and Scootaloo got out of the bushes. Applebloom somehow got some of the twigs and leaves sticking on her mane and coat as well as Scootaloo also got it too.
"What are we going to do now?!" the orange pegasus exclaimed, dusting out of the twig tangled her messy mane. "Those guys are going to beat her now!"
"Well, we're not going to let anything happen to our Crusader friend!" Applebloom said, got out of the last twig from the bow tie. "We're going to save our friend!"
"Mmk......" Scootaloo nodded as the two now headed to the same direction to where the twin burn brothers taking Sweetie Belle. They able to catch up with them, discreetly as they move into a slow pace to avoid attention from them. So far they haven't spot them yet as while they hid from buildings to carts (even hid into Big Mac's cart full of apples) they able to keep up with them.
Why isn't she running away? They aren't holding her.....Applebloom thought to herself, still keeping her eyes onto the burn twin fillies who somehow are chatting. Once she and Scootaloo have a glimpse of Burn, they imagine of him with a evil grin. Both of them shake their head a bit as they look at Inferno, they too imagine of him with a evil grin and a narrowed eye. Both of them shake of their imaginations as they kept focus on their operation until they found them near to the building as they quickly hid at the side of the building.
"We're here!" Burn exclaimed as both of them and Sweetie Belle went inside of it. Both of the Crusaders got out of their hiding spot and examine the building. It has a sign on top with a picture of cards coming out of what to be look like a milky way and letters that has stars shimmers onto it. Who ever made this sign work really hard to make it pop out.
"Cosmic Card?" Scootaloo read the signed. "I never heard of this place in Ponyville. Do you Applebloom?"
Applebloom shake her head. "No. Maybe this is the place......"
Into their imagination, Sweetie Belle is surrounded by angry tough and rough ponies who gather around her, scaring her inside with wooden planks and dim lights.
"So what do you think of our hideout?" Burn sneered at her.
"Only this time, you're facing all of us!" Inferno added, having a evil grin as both chuckled. Then from behind, Sweetie Belle saw a bigger pony, clenching his hoof.
"Heh, I only like ponies that're drastically outnumbered!"
After their imagination, both of them shaking in fear a bit. They never face this kind of danger before and usually their sisters and their friends able to get them out of nick of time but this time, they're now on their own. Both of them take deep breaths as they now determined to get back their friend. With that, they now headed inside the building, but what they found is something that they wished they read the journal that Twilight and her friends wrote of their adventures so they can learn from it. Instead of the dim light, wooden plank empty building, it was clean and tidy as well with posters of dragons, knights, and others creatures with various pose that whoever made these poster might be amazing artist as they saw foals, stallion and mares alike are playing a game on the table. There was a counter with a mare reading a book while a white cat sleeping on the bed while behind them is some boxes of different booster packs, decks, sleeves, and deck box. On the middle of the game table is a strange device that was made in the same crystals from Crystal Empire, showing a bipedal creature playing card games that it attract some of the ponies who then gather to watch it and some went to buy from the counter with the bits they have.
"What they hay?" Scootaloo tilted her head in confusion. "What is this place?"
"I don't know.....", Applebloom said in the same manner as her. What place is this? This is new to all of us. she thought about herself.
"Hello, fillies." a kind voice came as they turned, they saw a stallion with a grey mane that's spiky and a tan coat with a cutie mark of a milky way swirling with mini white stars shining like the cosmos. "Thanks for coming to Cosmic Card. I'm the manager of this store, Quasar Stellar. So what can I do for you two?"
"Well, um........well......", Applebloom was having trouble to form a sentence as well as Scootaloo staying silence of this.
"Is this the first time coming here?" he asked in which they nodded.
"I see, okay," Quasar said " this is a store sells Trading Card Games or TCGs for short along with products and such as well the first TCG store every to open in Equestria."
"What's Trading Card Games?" Scootaloo asked.
"Well, there are games that you collect cards, build a deck out of them, and you battle with your friends. As you can see, when school is over, we get pretty busy around here." He then take a look at them with curiosity. "Say are you from Ms. Cheerliee's class?"
"Yeah, we are."
"I see, my old friend must being doing a good job being a teacher." he chuckled a bit. "Perhaps if I can get you two interesting in TCG, maybe Cheerliee might even joined to played."
"Yeah, right." Scootaloo sweat drop at this.
"Hey I got an idea how about a tour from the shop manager?" Quasar asked them in which they nodded at him.
"The staffs usually stays in the counter; if you need anything you can ask them." he explained to them on the sleepy cat and the cashier. "The sleepy cat is Vanilla and she's a assistant manager cat and the angry mare is Nova Stellar."
"Called me that one more time.....?!" she growled a bit, causing him to flinch.
"D'ah! Scary!" he said in a sarcastic tone. "Just kidding, she's my little sister and she also love trading card games." The two start to understand this.
"Speaking of, in this store, we have three card games that all came from the first TCG company, Bushipone." He grab a few packs from the boxes and showed them. " The first one is Future Card BuddyFight, a TCG that allows you and your ace monster or 'Buddy' to fight together with other monsters, the second is Wiess Shwarz which pitted Bushipone's tv series to battle each other, and finally the most popular card game that everypony loves, Cardfight!! Vanguard."
Both of them gasped at he look to the direction of the tables, occupied by most of the foals, stallion, and mares too. "Those are the game tables. That's when you want to sit down to play." But they didn't pay attention to him as their eyes locked on to Sweetie Belle who was shuffling her deck while Burn also shuffling his too.
"Sweetie Belle?" Scootaloo whispered.
"Oh, it's look like those two are starting their Vanguard Fight! See the best part of this......" he stopped explaining as he observe the two as if they have seeing one of the foals before.
Once they're done shuffling, they set their deck to their side and ready their starting Vanguards.
"You ready to face the Kagero Master?" Burn asked.
"Yeah, I'm ready." Sweetie Belle put a determination look on him, surprising both Applebloom and Scootaloo. They never seen her so determine in a card game.
"Ooh, I can feeling my heart tingling with excitement!" Burn squeal a bit putting a grin on his face.
"Stand up......" both began.
"Vanguard!" Both of them flipped their starting Vanguard as their respective Vanguard circle glowed.
With a bright flashed, in their imagination of the Planet Cray, both of them transformed into their starting Vangaurd.

"Get ready, I'm going to burn this competition!" Burn clenched his right hoof.
"Don't worry, I won't hold back." she drew a card from her deck. "Ride, Little Sage Marron!" (G1 POW 8000) She placed it on the Vanguard Circle transform his human kid into a young sage.

"Drive check!" He revealed a copy of Dragon Monk, Gojo and added to his hand; the demon slashed the force field as it was bounced back. Sweetie Belle then puts the card she guard back to the drop zone.
"Guess I end my turn, but you won't survive once I ride my ultimate dragon!" he wave his hand at her "The clock is ticking so you better prepare for the outcome!"
Sweetie Belle smiled a bit. "Don't worry, me and my knight will conquer your dragon."
Her knight.......Applebloom's thoughts asked along with Scootaloo asking the same thing. Quasar then narrow his eyes to get a view of his hand.
"Ah, looks like his hand is very balance. Looks like this is going to be a interesting battle." he turned to them who they're completely focus onto it. "You two are watching the game really closely. Do you two understand of what's going on?"
Applebloom shook her head. "No, not really. It's just goes by fast."
"Same thing. I can't even understand too." Scootaloo added.
"It's ok, the rules are not hard to follow so it'll take time to follow it. Hey, I got an idea; why don't I open up a Vanguard classes lesson for you two?" Quasar asked while he chuckled.
"Don't you need to get back to work?" Nova bluntly asked him which he flinch again.
"Well if you two need any more question, just asked." he whispered in which both of them said 'sure' as he got back to work while the two fillies continue to watch Sweetie Belle drew a card from her deck.
"Ok, get ready." she said earning a confused look from him as he revealed his knight to him.
"Aw snap! Not that!" he flinched with a scared tone which Applebloom and Scootaloo were still confused by this event.

"Then I call two Gallatin, Marron, and Wingal to rear guards!" She then placed three more to the rear guards as two more blind knights appeared in each side of the white gallant knight and a young sage and a bat eared dog appeared behind them.
"With that, my first Gallatin will attack your Vanguard!" (POW 1000) With that, the blindfolded knight charging at the demon.
"Guard!" he blocked using, Gattling Claw Dragon (Shield 5000), as a big dragon with a gattling gun taken the hit, disappeared into white sparks.
"Next, with the support boost from Wingal, Blaster Blade is coming at your Vanguard next! Wingal's skill : adding 4000 when boosted "Blaster Blade" (POW 1900) Then her knight now charging at it, making it flinch at the attacker.
"No guard!" Burn gritted his teeth.
"Drive check!" she reveal the top card which is Starlight Unicorn (G1 POW 6000) as her knight swung his sword at it, while Burn do a damage check and reveal Dragon Monk, Gojo (G3 POW 10000) and set it on the damage zone.

"With a support boost from Marron, my second Gallatin goes next!" (POW 1800) she declared only for Burn to guard it with Demonic Dragon Mage, Rakshasa (Shield 10000).
"Guess that's end of my turn." she said.
"Ok, stand and draw!" he stand all of his units and drew a card from his deck, smirk at what he got.
"Time to show you the power of my Kageros! Ride, Dragon Knight, Nehalem!" ( G2 POW 1000) The demon now engulf into a fire malestrom and turning into a bipedal knight riding on a dragon.

"My right rear guard Nehalem will come at your Vanguard!" (POW 1000) the orange coated knight now charging at Blaster Blade.
"I guard!" Sweetie Belle guard it using Weapon Dealer, Govannon as the knight slash the Gnome away, as the dragon knight attempt to swing his sword only to be block by Blaster Blade's too.
"With a boost from Aermo, my Vanguard Nehalem will go next!" (POW 1600) With that, the purple armored dragon knight now charging at Blaster Blade.
"No guard!" Sweetie Belle said.
Burn smirk at this and said, "Drive trigger check!" He revealed a Demonic Dragon Mage, Rakshasa as it glows yellow. "Nice, critical trigger! My Vanguard gets the critical while my second Nehalem will keep the power bonus!" (Vanguard - POW - 1600 / 2 Critical) (Nehalem - POW - 1500)
As the dragon knight impale the white knight with his spear, Blaster Blade kneel down at that attack.
"Damage trigger, check!" She then revealed Weapon Dealer, Govannon as it glows light brown. "Draw trigger, give everything to my knight and I draw!" (Blaster Blade - POW - 1400)
She place it on her damage zone and drew a card from her deck as she do another damage check due to the critical trigger, "Second check!" She revealed another trigger, Yggdrasil Maiden, Elaine. "Heal trigger, gives another bonus to Blaster Blade and I heal one damage." (Blaster Blade- POW - 1900)
She placed on her damage zone as she take one from it and put it into the drop zone.

Burn grunted at this as he rested the remaining of his units for another combat, "With a boost from Bahr, my second Nehalem will go next on your first Gallatin!" (POW - 2300)
"Guard!" she blocked with Bringer of Good Luck, Epona (Shield 1000) as Burn gritted his teeth at his attempt being blocked.
"Guess that's the end of my turn." Burn said.
While Sweetie Belle nodded as she stand her rested units and drew, Applebloom and Scootaloo were amazed that something that changed her.
Scootaloo whispered to Applebloom's ears silently, "This is the first time that we saw a new side of her."
"Yeah...." she agreeing with her as they continue to watch the game.
At first, we were always been focus on getting our cutie marks by doing various talents, but none of them work. We about to give up on them but yet Sweetie Belle told us that we should never give up on finding our paths..........Applebloom thought of this as Sweetie Belle continue to battle with Burn who flinched at this.
No wonder why she distant of finding our cutie marks, she apparently become different new pony that we never seen because of that card game, Vanguard. Scootaloo thoughts ranged.
"Stand and draw!" Burn stand his units and drew a card, smiling at what he got "Call, Bellicosity Dragon!" (G2 POW 9000) As emerge from the spot that once the other Nehalem is, now replacing with a crimson spike bulk dragon.
"Nehalem will attack Gallatin!" (POW 1000) Then with the thrust of his spear, the dragon knight impaled the blinded knight, dissolving into sparks. Sweetie Belle gritted at this as she place it into the drop zone.
"With a support from Aermo, my dragon is coming at you!" (POW 1600) Burn declared as the armored dragon roared as it locked onto the knight.
"Guard!" she placing another copy of Stardust Trumpeter (G0 Shield 10000) and Little sage Marron (G1 5000) as both the sage and the kid halted the dragon's rampage. (Blaster Blade - POW 2400)
"Keh, two to pass....." he muttered "Twin Drive check! First check......" He revealed another copy of Demonic Dragon Mage, Rakasha glowing yellow. "Ok, critical trigger! My Bellicosity Dragon keeps everything. (POW - 1400 / 2 criticals) Second check......" He revealed another copy of Dragon Monk, Goku which grunted at this.
"With the support from Bahr, go Bellicosity Dragon!" (POW - 2200/ 2 criticals ) With an roared from it, the dragon shot out a torrential flames at the white knight as explosion burst out.

"Ok, here I go, Burn! Gallatin will attack Blazing Flare Dragon!" (POW 1000)
"Nehalem will Intercept it!" (POW 1500) he move his rear guard to the guardian circle which the blinded knight swing his sword as the dragon knight disappeared into red sparks.
"Then, my knight will go next and with Wingal's skill, gains 4000 power!" (POW 1900) she declared, rest the two units.

"With a boost from Marron, Randolf will end it plus with the skill, giving him 3000 as long as I had more cards than you!" (POW 2300) With that, the knight now dash toward the dragon as his sword glows. Burn check to his hand, but so far the only card he had is a Grade 3.
"No, I don't had enough to guard that!" he muttered as with the gun metal knight's sword glows bright, he slash the flame dragon as the explosion was seen as the card from his deck place two more damage and with no heal trigger was seen thus ending the battle.
"Aw, man! You got me, Sweetie Belle! My Grade 3 is bested by a Grade 2!" he complained though not in a annoyed tone but more of happiness.
"Well you almost got me too, Burn." she said with a grin as she returning some of her cards to her deck and start shuffling a bit.
As both of the brothers begin to chat each other, she sighed as she picked up her knight with a smile. Thank you, my knight......
"Sweetie Belle." Applebloom's voice was heard as she look at the voice direction and flinch at her friends here at the store.
"Huh!? Applebloom! Scootaloo!"
"Oh do you know that filly?" Quasar asked them setting down new cards on the stocks.
"Well, sir.....they're my friends.....", Sweetie Belle explained as the two now come to his table.
"So that's your secret, huh? You come here and start playing card games." Scootaloo asked her which she nodded which they picked up some of the cards from her deck, surprising her.
"So that's the popular game, Cardfight!! Vanguard.....", said Applebloom, looking at the cards. "Really like the pictures."
"Let's go! From the blade of noble justice comes a legendary avatar of the legendary fighter! Stand up, my knight! Ride!", she slammed it into the VG as the sage now transform into a white gallant knight. "Blaster Blade!"
Then they return the cards to her as Sweetie Belle pleaded to them, "Please I....I didn't want you girls to.......know this...... otherwise you might.......... tell Rarity or the others about this...... and"
"Say no more, we'll won't tell anypony about your secret right, Scoots? " asked Applebloom which she nodded, caught Sweetie Belle surprise of this, but holds a genuine smile.
"Thanks girls." she said.
"However, you need to tell us why you kept it as a secret from us by tomorrow." she said with air of annoyed. "As friends and the cutie mark crusaders, we shouldn't keep secrets from us."
She sighed at the oath that she took year ago but still retain her grin, "Of course."
"So can you and Burn play again?" Scootaloo asked which the two fighters look at each other.
"C'mon, I want to see how you're good at this?"
Both of them in silence until Burn break it, "Of course! I can go for another rematch! And this time, the Kagero master isn't losing this time!"
Sweetie Belle's eyes widened then with nodded she said, "Sure, Burn!"
"Pulverize him, Sweetie!" Applebloom and Scootaloo said in unison as both of them getting ready. Nova then looks at them with a hint of grin. Once their decks are shuffle and both drew their cards. Both Applebloom and Scootaloo then watch the battle as both fighters said in unison,
In the Sweet Apple Acres, Applebloom was rested on her bed, thinking of Sweetie Belle's secret. All of this time......she was motivated by one colt that introduce to Vanguard........and she use that motivation for us to keep going when we about to give up.......and she became a new pony that was hidden within her..........she gaze the walls as she remembered what she told to her and Scootaloo.

"So how did you got into Vanguard, Sweetie Belle?" Applebloom asked. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were back at the clubhouse after Sweetie Belle battle Burn at the Cosmic Card as the sun now set down for the night.
"It was because of Light that gave me hope and the legendary fighter, Aichi Sendou." Sweetie replied. The other two look at her with odd looks.
"Uh, who's this Aichi Sendou?" Scootaloo asked.
"And that Light feller?" Applebloom added.
"Well to start, Aichi Sendou is a human character that use Royal Paladin like me and the main hero of Cardfight!! Vanguard tv show. He somewhat similar to Fluttershy, but he grown to be a brave and strong in the game. He's also had a avatar, Blaster Blade that start his journey of Vanguard" Sweetie pull out her knight card and show to them "thanks to one of his rival, Toshiki Kai, a Kagero fighter."
"And to answer the second, I just met him before at the park when I felt down. He also gave me Blaster Blade and said that whenever there's a road that we can't overcome, I just imagined being brave and strong like Aichi. Also I got my first trial deck and the crystal vision from Bushipone that I been absorb into the show and the game that I had a new dream."
"And that dream is?" Scootaloo asked.
"To surpass Aichi and Light and being equal to them." Sweetie Belle said with a hint of determination.
However, the others were dumbfounded with sweat drops and Scootaloo said, "Uh, you mean you set your goals on the game instead of finding our marks?"
Sweetie nodded with Applebloom and Scootaloo face hoof her face, groaned a bit as Applebloom said, "Look, I understand that you now enjoying this 'Vanguard' but it's not going to be a future and a lifetime goal."
"I know" Sweetie Belle said without being insulted which the others glance at her "But that's why I'm going to make that dream come true. Beside, even it's a path that doesn't exist, I'll walk towards to it."
"So why didn't you at least show the game to your sister or the others?" Scootaloo asked her which she flinch at that question then calm down.
"Actually, Rarity heard about the game when she went to Canterlot for her 'Rarity time' and she founded it to be 'uncouth' and 'barbaric'. Even I heard that Rainbow Dash agree with her, saying that it was a boring and uncool game consider she hates trading card game. If my sister figure out of me playing it, she'll forbidden me to play it. And I had a hunch that the others might not know about it but still they can't know about me playing the game and that's something I don't want to happen." Sweetie Belle replied taking her glance away to her friends.
"Well that ain't right." Applebloom said "Just because you like something differently doesn't mean that you can control what pony can or cannot like."
"So that's why I asked you as a friend, girls. Don't let Rarity and her friends know about me playing Vanguard." Sweetie plead them which the others look at her eyes and thanks to Apple family trait, Applebloom can sense how much that Sweetie Belle deeply care for the game.
"Well, all right then." Applebloom said which Scootaloo nodded her head "As Cutie Mark Crusaders, we promise not to let our sisters know of your love for the game."
"Thanks girls, your the best!" Sweetie Belle said with a cheerful voice as she hugged her friends which Scootaloo felt disgusted at first but she patted her back which Applebloom did the same.

"Still, when me and Scootaloo saw Sweetie Belle battle Burn......" Applebloom remember that when they saw that battle, their minds distant off and saw Sweetie Belle became a bipedal knight facing a armored dragon like in those storybooks.
"Did we just 'imagine' it?" she wonder as she got up, she off her bed and pull something under of it, a treasure chest filled with a monthly allowance of bits.
I have been saving my allowance for quite sometime. But now I think I now what do with it......Applebloom look at it with determination.
At morning on the weekend, Sweetie Belle was walking towards Cosmic Card. Although that Sweetie Belle supposed to meet Twilight so she can make up for the missing lessons, she came here just to get some at least some new cards for her deck after watching another episode of Cardfight!! Vanguard.
In episode 3, Aichi doesn't have a grade 3 on his deck which could be a problem. If I remember correctly, Grade 3 units have a twin drive system to allow to drive check twice and mine is somewhat similar but, with all of them exception of Gancelot, those grade 3s aren't that good. Hopefully, I can at least get some new cards thanks to Buishipone's list of cards from each booster sets and extra booster sets. Plus I'll need 3 Gancelot. Sweetie Belle thought of it as she enter the door, what surprise her is Applebloom and Scootaloo was at the game table with two extra booster boxes, a regular booster box, and a stack of cards near to a empty trial deck box. To her eyes, those extra booster boxes are EB04 Infinity Phantom Legion and a trial deck of TD03 Golden Mechanical Soldier.
"Hey girls," she walk towards them set her stuff down "What're doing here?"
"Oh, hey Sweetie Belle glad you came." Applebloom said as Sweetie Belle sat down with them "Well you see I was finish out my deck."
"Your interest in Vanguard?" Sweetie Belle asked which Applebloom nodded.
"Yeah, I don't why, but I guess it's because of the last battle you face against Burn and me and Scootaloo somehow imagine into another world when you duke it out." she explained.
"So you and Scootaloo 'imagine' it? Well it's natural for the game." Sweetie Belle said earning confuse looks from them but ignore it.
"So what kind of deck did you made Applebloom?" Sweetie Belle asked her which Applebloom gave it to her as she scrolled some of the cards, various theme consist of mostly robots, alien, human, etc. One card caught interest in her eyes : a RRR card illustrate a red robot in a heroic posed.
"Nova Grapplers.....interesting." Sweetie Belle handled back her deck smiling at her "If I remember from the show, Kamui Katsuragi use that deck and it's specialize in restanding rear guards."
She take glance to her orange pegsai filly friend "And you, Scootaloo?"
Scootaloo then passed her deck as like Applebloom's, she scan some of the cards as illustrate of robots that are sightly more Neighponese artistic.
She read the clan's name with surprise, "Dimensional Police? I never heard of this clan. But, " she scan some of the effects each cards had "judging each of the effects, it specialize in giving power to your rear guards units."
"Wow, when did you became an expert in the game?" Scootaloo said as Sweetie Belle returned her deck.
"Since I watched the show everyday." Sweetie Belle replied which Scootaloo glance at Applebloom who shrugged.
"So Sweetie Belle," Applebloom asked her earning her attention "do you mind if I battle you? Just to know how to work well with my deck?"
"Hey, don't forget about me! I want to try this um....Dimensional Police deck I made!' Scootaloo added.
Sweetie Belle nodded, "Sure but let me get some new cards."
The others nodded as Sweetie Belle came to the counter when the same violet mare was restocking new booster boxes as she check the prices of the singles in the binder. Luckly, the prices for Gancelot is about 3 bits each and for her, she checked her stash and about of 50 bits she had left. Good thing I saved a lot when I got my allowance from my sister. she thought as she called the clerk counter, "Hello?"
Nova Stellar came from her with a small smile and said "You must be the foal that beat Light Pulsar, right? Well that was a good fight that you did."
"Oh, thanks." Sweetie Belle said, blushing in embarrassment then compose her self "Anyway, I would like to buy 5 BT-01 packs, and 3 Gancelot."
The counter mare nodded as she brought up 5 packs from the shelf and 3 from the storage area. "Here you go."
With that, Sweetie Belle payed 8 bits for it as she brought them to her friends at the table. Then she got her deck case out and sort off her cards until she got out of starter Grade 3 and remove them from the sleeves as she replace them with three copies of Gancelot. She smiled as she put them back into her deck as she set them aside, she grab the first pack and open it as she scan some of the new cards she gotten, she set them aside and repeat the process on the second . Then on the third pack, she smile as she pulled out a RRR Blaster Blade card.
"Nice!" Sweetie Belle said.
"What did you pull?" Scootaloo asked
"Can I see?" Applebloom asked as Sweetie Belle show them and the girls were amazed. "Whoa! You got another Blaster Blade!"
"Yeah, guess I got lucky pull the packs." Sweetie Belle said as she edit her deck with another copy of Blaster Blade. Then as she open the fourth pack, she found nothing as for the final pack, she scan the cards and found nothing.
"Aw, nothing new on the final, but at least I got another of my avatar." she looked at her with great interest.
"Why?" Scootaloo asked
"Well in most core of the game, you need to at least have at 4 of the same card name for your deck. That way, even if one copy is on the damage zone, you'll won't had to worried about losing your favorite avatar." Sweetie Belle explained which the girls nodded, understand her.
After clearing the table, they're now set for the game as both Sweetie Belle and Applebloom set their starting Vanguard then shuffle their decks "Ok Applebloom, I can teach you the rules of the game so you can understand it well, it's that okay?"
"Sure" She nodded with a smile.
"All right, then. Close your eyes and imagine. Our astral spirits taken us to another world that's similar to both Earth and Equestria called Planet Cray." Once Applebloom open her eyes, she saw herself transparent as she gaze around the rocky plains as creatures were roaming around.
"Whoa! So this is Planet Cray? So cool!" Applebloom amazed at the scenery as she saw Sweetie Belle in her astral form.
"All right, so the powers only we have is the power to call our units to fight or defend us known as Call. The second one is when we taking the form of our units call Ride and we become the Vanguard which means the one that leads the way, you got that?"
Applebloom nodded as Sweetie Belle continue explaining "Ok, to start we need draw five cards from the deck. If there's a card that you don't like, you can return the number of cards return to the deck and shuffle it to redraw the same number of cards you returned it. It's important to at least have a hand of Grade 1,2, and 3. How's yours?"
Applebloom replied "Mine's good."
"All right, so then the objective of the game is to land your opponent six damage on their Vanguard before they do to you too, that's make sense?" Sweetie Belle explained which she nodded.
"Okay, then we set to battle. We flipped the starting unit in our Vanguard circle and say in unison 'Stand Up, Vanguard!'" Both of friends ready their starting Vanguards.
"Stand Up.......Vanguard!"
With their flipped, the ground on the Planet Cray glow a blue and a orange Vanguard circle as they transform into their starting Vanguard. Sweetie Belle once as 'Stardust Trumpeter' as Applebloom turned into a red miniature robot.

"All right" she drew a card as she look at her hands "I ride this one! Raizer Custom! (G1/POW 6000)" She then transformed herself into a slightly bigger version of herself with orange and tan colors. "Then I call Queen of Hearts! (G1/POW 6000)" A a robotic queen with a heart shaped staff appeared behind her.

"Got it, then with a boost from the Queen, my Raizer will attack your Vanguard!" Applebloom said as she charges at her. (POW 1000)
"No guard. Now do you want me to explain how to do a drive check?" She asked which she shook her head.
"No, I got this." she said as she revealed from the top of her deck, a Brutal Jack card as her Raizer form, she slammed her fist into Marron/Sweetie. Then Sweetie Belle do a damage check, revealing a copy of Gancelot and placed on the damage zone. (D - 1)
"Guess my turns end." Applebloom said as Sweetie Belle drew a card and smile at what she got.
"Okay, get ready, Applebloom." Sweetie Belle said as she begin to chant "From the blade of noble justice, shine your light to defend the weak! The legendary fighter is with me! Stand up, My Knight!" she slammed onto her Vanguard as she transformed into her legendary knight "Blaster Blade!" (G2/POW 9000)
"Ummmm...........was the chant really necessary?" Scootaloo deadpanned at this.
"It's makes the game much fun." Sweetie Belle replied "Call! Gallatin and Marron to rear guard! (G2/POW 1000)"
"Then I attack with Gallatin, boosted by Marron! (POW 1800)" The blinded knight jump high and slam his sword at the robot.
"Damage check," she revealed a draw trigger [The Gong (G0/Draw/POW 5000)] "Okay draw trigger, giving the extra to my vanguard and I draw." ( Raiser Custom - POW 1100) D - 1
"Next up, my Knight and thanks to Wingal's skill, he gains a extra 4000 power! (POW 1900)"
"Guard!" Applebloom place one Shining Lady (G0/Critical/Shield 1000) and one Tough Boy (G1/POW 8000/Shield 5000) as they block the white knight's path. (Raiser Custom - POW 2600)
"Drive check," Sweetie Belle revealed a copy of Gancelot as Blaster Blade/Sweetie slash through them and slam his/her sword at the robot only to be block by its arm.
"Guess I'll leave it to you then." Sweetie Belle sighed as Applebloom drew from her deck then smile at what she got.
"Okay, I ride King of Sword (G2/POW 1000)" Raiser Custom then transform into a humanoid like robot king "Then I call Magician Girl, Kirara (G2/POW 9000), Brutal Jack (G2/POW 1100), and Raiser Custom (G1/POW 6000)." Then a robotic magician girl and a black alien like creature came to the king's side along with another robot behind the Magician. "And activate Brutal Jack's Counterblast, he lose the 'Restraint' on him." She flipped her card in the damage zone as Brutal Jack growl as a blue aura surrounding it.

"Heal Trigger, I'll heal one damage from my damage zone." Sweetie Belle removed one of the card from the damage zone and place on the drop zone.

(G3/ POW 9000)" She slammed on her Vanguard as she transform into a broad noble night with silver design, riding to what to appear to be a horse pegasus. "Then I call Covenant Knight, Randolf (G2/ POW 8000)!"

Sweetie Belle/Gancelot slash them away and tried to slam her sword but the King of Sword block it using his staff.

She nodded as Applebloom begins to chant "From the never-ending conflict comes a true form of power! Combine and strike through to grasp victory! Ride!"
She slammed her card as the King of Sword begin to transformed into a large red robot with green energies from each of the body and shoulder and legs. "The King of Fighters, Perfect Raiser! (G3/POW 1100) You're right, it does make the game more fun!"
"Told you." She said while Scootaloo just laughed a bit.
"Okay Sweetie Belle,get ready cause Perfect Raizer's skill is activated! Raizer combination link! All Raizer in my rear guards goes to the soul of Perfect Raizer!" Raizer Custom begin transform into a fighter as it combine itself onto the big red robot.
"Then it's second skill activate for each Raizers in the Soul, he gains 3000!" (POW 2000)
"Call Tough Boy! (G1/POW 8000)" Then to left side, a bulky shaped robot behind the magician girl.
"With the boost from Tough Boy, Kirara attacks Randolf! (POW 1700)" The robot magician girl conjure a electrical beam and fired at the knight which disperse into blue stardust sparks.
"Then to your Vanguard, Perfect Raizer attack! (POW 2400)" the red robot dash towards Gancelot as it prepares its fist.
"No Guard!" Sweeite Belle said
"Twin Drive check!" she revealed a critical trigger as it shone yellow "Critical trigger, give the critical to my vanguard (Critical 2) and the extra power to Gold Rutile! (POW 1600) Second check," she revealed another critical trigger "another critical trigger, so like before critical to my vanguard(Critical 3) and the extra power to Gold Rutile!(POW 2100)"
With that, the robot slammed its fist until Gancelot as he grunted in pain as it deliver another smack onto the face as Sweetie Belle grunted "Damage check"
She revealed a copy of Marron, then a Gallatin, and to her relief, a heal trigger which shone green. "Heal trigger, give the power to my Vanguard and I heal one damage. (POW 1400)" she remove one of the flipped card and placed on the drop zone then place the heal trigger into the damage zone.

"Then Gold Rutile will attack your Vanguard!" Applebloom declared as the robot samurai prepare its sword.
"Guard and Intercept! (POW 2400)" Sweetie Belle said as she placed one card on the middle and to their surprise, Randolf was moved to the middle too.
"Wait, what's Intercept and why did you move Randolf to the middle?" Scootaloo asked
"Intercepting is an ability for Grade 2 to move from the front row in the RG and placed on the guard circle. Sort of being a additional guard in case of having a low hand." Sweetie Belle said as the samurai robot slice through them.
"I guess I end mah turn." Applebloom said as Sweetie Belle stand her rear guards and draw from her deck.
"Activate Gancelot's skill from my hand." she said as she reveal the second copy "I return it to the top of my deck in exchange to get my knight and add to my hand." she search from her deck then reveal the second copy of Blaster Blade and put it in her hand then she shuffle her deck "Then I call my knight and use his skill! Leave the battlefield, Kirara!" Her knight slammed his sword as pure energies coming from the peak of the ground surrounded the magician girl and disperse into red stardust.

"Guard!" Applebloom placed one Cannon Ball (G0/Stand/POW 5000) as a huge robotic sphere block Gancelot's way. (POW 2100)
"Twin Drive" Sweetie Belle revealed the copy of Gancelot, then her second check, she grin as she pulled a critical trigger "Got it, a critical trigger!"
Applebloom grunted as Gancelot (POW 2100/ Critical 2) slice through the huge robot sphere and slash forward Perfect Raizer as upon damage, Applebloom damage check and so far a copy of Tough Boy and Death Metal Droid was revealed.

"Then with a boost from Tough Boy, Brutal Jack comes next at Blaster Blade!" The robotic lizard open its mouth and fire a energy cannon and disintegrate it.

"And now with Queen of Hearts' support, Perfect Raizer attacks you Vanguard!" Applebloom said as the red robot lunge its fist at it as Sweetie Belle check her hand but unfortunately the only card is Gancelot.

"Twin Drive, check!" Applebloom revealed a draw trigger "Draw trigger, give to my vanguard and I draw one. Second check," she revealed a critical trigger "a critical trigger! Everything to my Vanguard! (POW 2100/Critical 2)"
The red robot slammed its fist onto the white knight as a huge explosion set off into the planet Cray. Sweetie Belle revealed the last card and sighed happily as she revealed a copy of Little Sage Marron.
