It was three months after Twilight Sparkle had returned to Equestria. Not everyone had forgiven Sunset Shimmer. Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy rarely talked to her and when they did it was really awkward. Sunset Shimmer lie in bed that night.
I suppose I really don't belong here anymore. she thought to herself, Maybe.... Just maybe I should return. But what if they don't accept me? What if Celestia doesn't care about me and leaves me to take care of myself. I have no parents... Maybe Celestia won't be so cruel. Maybe she'll teach me about friendship... Or maybe she'll have Twilight teach me. She sighed. Hmm... Twilight learned about friendship and got to become a princess, maybe if I return Celestia will take me under her wing and teach me about magic... Maybe Twilight will teach me about friendship. After all, her so-called 'friends' don't even try. I'll be better off in Equestria, I think. Oh I just hope every pony will accept me and at least give me a chance. She turned onto her side and stared at her alarm-clock. 3:00 AM
"I suppose I shall get to sleep" she whispered quietly to herself. She closed her eyes and soon was fast asleep.

Beep Beep Beep Be-
Sunset Shimmer hit the button on top of her alarm clock. She groaned.
"6:00 AM ugh!"
She sat up on the bed her hair sticking up in all the wrong places. She walked into the small bathroom painted yellow and red with her old cutie mark hand-painted by her on the wall. She had painted it after Twilight Sparkle left.
With a jolt she remembered her thoughts from the previous night. She decided to ask Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack about it. She proceeded to get ready for school. She ate a few pieces of toast, put her backpack on and walked out of the front door.
To think that I've started my mornings the same way for years. This morning might be the last that I start like this.
With that thought hanging in her mind she got into her car and drove to Canterlot High.
Sunset Shimmer set her plate down at the table where Fluttershy and Rarity were already sitting. They seemed to be in deep conversation but they stopped talking once they heard Sunset's tray hit the table.
"Hey guys" she said almost shyly.
"Hi Sunset" Fluttershy said cheerfully.
Rarity turned around and rolled he eyes. She hadn't forgiven Sunset Shimmer and she didn't think she ever would.
Just then Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash sat down. The table was silent.
Sunset Shimmer felt a little awkward sitting at the table and blushed noticeably.
"Can't y'all see that we're makin' tha girl uncomfortable?!"
Sunset Shimmer took a bite out of her salad and chewed silently.
"Look Sunset Shimmer um.... We're sorry for not giving you a chance. We feel bad that you aren't being treated fairly." Rainbow Dash said.
Sunset Shimmer almost chocked on her salad as she looked up. "I um forgive you. And I'm really sorry for everything that I've done."
The table was silent for a little bit. The silence was soon followed by the other five murmuring their forgiving phrases.
"We also wanted to ask if you'd go dress shopping for the Spring Dance later today with us?"
"Yeah, Sure." Sunset said. That'll give me some time to be able to tell them about my thoughts about moving back to Equestria she thought.
The bell rang and school was finally out. Sunset Shimmer walked out of her last class. Everybody avoided Sunset Shimmer. Some rolled their eyes, some gave her a scowl, other just stayed complately out of her way. She waved to Snips and Snails in the hallway and even they didn't talk to her! She just avoided eveyone's mean gazes and walked to the parking lot in the front of the school. She hopped in her car and drove to Rarity's Boutique.
I wonder what they'll say about me returning to Equestria. I mean we finally forgave each other and it'd seem a bit wrong to just leave. I don't know. I finally have some friends and then I have to leave them to risk not being liked by anypony in Equestria. Or maybe I'll become a princess in Equestria just liike Twilight... that'd be really nice. I do need to learn a little more about the magic of friendship though. And I'm a little rusty on my magic skills. Well if I go I know that Princess Celestia won't nbe cruel and most likely take me under her wing... again. Oh I sure hope so.
Before long she arrived at the boutique. The others were already there. Rarity was fitting a flowery dress to Fluttershy. They all looked up when the bell on top of the door rang.
"Howdy, Sunset!"
"Hey!"
"Hello"
"Hi!"
"Hey, Sunset Shimmer!" The girls said at the same time.
"Hey everybody!" Sunset Shimmer said happily. She looked at the dress that Fluttershy was getting fitted into. "Nice dress!"
"And done!" Rarity said. She sat down on a chair tiredly.
"So... um guys..... I was thinking about moving back to Equestria. I mean, I feel as if I don't belong here anymore. Nobody is giving me a second chance -except you guys- no matter how many times I've apologized. I mean I've apologized to everyone in school at least three times this week. Even Snips and Snails avoid me!"
"Well you did turn them into evil, demony, dragon type things!" Pinkie Pie said.
"SHHH!" Everbody looked at Pinkie Pie angrily.
"WHAT?! Just saying."
Rarity rolled her eyes. "Do, please, continue."
"So I was hoping that you guys could give me some advice on whether I should go or not. I really don't feel comfotable in this world anymore but I just got my first friends ever. I don't want to abandon that because the ponies back in Equestria probably won't even like me. I mean the story has got to be all over Equestria by now. I'm afraid that once I return that they won' except me just like here. I mean everyone here has a pony parallel... so they basically have the same personality which means that nine time out of ten they won't forgive me. I just don't understand what I should do!"
"Well I think you should just do whatever you think will make you more comfortable, sugarube. It seems to me that you should return to Equestria, though. Not because I don't like you, I do, but it sounds to me like your life here is miserable." Applejack said.
"Maybe you should go I mean I think it's worth to put the fact that the ponies won't like you anymore on the line and take that chance." Rarity said.
"Yeah what happened didn't even happen in their WORLD!" Rainbow Dash agreed."
"AndTwlightSparkleprobablydidn'tgoaroundallofponyworldtellingthemabouthowshedefeatedascarydemon-dragon thingie-mobbobertorescuehermagicalelement." Pinkie Pie sad really fast.
"QUIET PINKIE PIE!" Rainbow Dash and Rarity said in unison. Rarity walked away browsing the store.
"Well, um I think you should also go because you don't seem very happy here, but I would be totally fine if you stayed here with us." Fluttershy said softly.
Sunset Shimmer looked thoughtful. They are sorta right. Maybe I shall return. Maybe I'll become a Princess. Maybe nopony knows about what happened in human world. Maybe...... "I think I'll go back to Equestia. The ponies there would probably treat me kindly- I'm not saying that you guys don't- I can start new because the ponies there don't really know me, well except for Twilight but yeah it sonds like a good idea." She said to the four that were sitting in front of her.
"Well then I guess you won't be needing these." Rairty held up a yellow and red dress with a half red and helf yellow sun and a pair of sun earrings to match."
"Maybe I could take it with me to remember you guys."
"Or you could take a picture with us... or both. Ijustgotthisawesomenewcamerawithspecialeffects..."
Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy were all in Sunset Shimmer's house helping her pack a small light back. Sunset Shimmer wanted to take every possible thing with her but obviously that was not going to happen.
"Darling, you are really going to keep this?!" Rarity asked. She held up an ugly dress.
Sunset Shimmer playfully rolled her eyes. "Whatever, Rarity give it away if you want to."
Pinkie Pie handed Rarity the picture that they took yesterday afternoon.
"Done!" Rarity said. "We gave you money, clothes, a few pictures to remind you of this world, souvenirs from your travels around the world and I believe that's all you will really need."
"Yeah that should be enough." Sunset said. "I'm really gonna miss you guys!"
The girls agreed.
"GROUP HUG!" Pinkie said and pulled everyone together.
"We're going to miss you sooo much!" Fluttershy said.
The other girls agreed and they stood in group hug position for a little bit.
"Oh I almost forgot." Sunset Shimmer handed the girls a note. It was an apology letter that was for the whole school.
The girls scanned it.
"I'm sure they'll except my apology once I'm gone because they won't have to deal with me." Sunset Shimmer said.
"Some people are just really dumb. If they did something wrong they would want to be forgiven!" Rainbow Dash said.
The other girls agreed.
Sunset Shimmer giggled a bit. And to think that a few days ago they wouldn't even talk to me! They are the best friends I ever had! Well, of course they are my only friends. I'm really gonna miss this bunch.
Fluttershy glanced out of the window. It was sunset. "Um Sunset should you get going?"
After looking out of the window Sunset said "Yeah, probably." She grabbed her bag and started to walk toward the front door. She glanced back at her house. It still had a few items that she couldn't take to Equestria. "Thanks girls for offering to donate my stuff to the local charity."
Everyone walked out of the door and made their way to the portal. They hugged one more time. Sunset Shimmer shed a few tears.
"Maybe, if the princess allows I can occasionally come to visit you guys."
The girls agreed.
With that Sunset Shimmer stepped through the portal an was transported to Equestria. The moon reached its highest peak and the portal closed.
"I'm really going to miss her." Fluttershy said. "Once you get to know her she's a really nice person."
Everybody murmured their agreements and walked back to their homes left to think about their friend's departure.
