Cars are still parked outside. If the rapture had happened, why was it unrecognizable? Why was the sky blue? Why did no one tell me? Do these things not announce themselves?

Rainbow’s face darkened. “Cozy, I’m not asking you. I’m telling you. I need to know how we end.”

Something flashed through Cozy’s face, something Rainbow vaguely thought of as fear. But it passed and Cozy hissed, rubbing her forehead. “Fine. You want to know how you two end?”

There was a second of silence filled by the wind.

Cozy’s eyes burned red when she spoke again. “One of you will destroy the other.”

When Sky Stinger is captured by an unlikely foe, it's up to Vapor Trail and some of her closest friends Angel Wings and Midnight Strike to get him back. Can this group of unlikely ponies rescue Sky before it's too late? Will this story fuse into a coherent narrative by the end? Who knows, I sure don't!


This story was an Exquisite Corpse effort hosted by Lofty Withers on the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting Server.

An exquisite corpse story is a collaborative writing exercise in which a group of people try to tell a story: the catch is that each author can only read what the author before them wrote and must continue despite not knowing the entire story. This was the result.

Each chapter of this story was written for a Quills and Sofas Pride Month contest: part one won first place in the Lesbians contest, part two won third in the Gay contest, and part three placed third in the Bi contest. Part four was written for the Trans contest and part five was written for the 24 Hour Contest.
