Luna is worried about falling to darkness again and Celestia suggests retiring.

Story takes places before and during Season 9 Episode 1 and includes dialogue from the episode painsteakinly edited. Sex tag added for a single comment that might be perceived as lewd.

What would happen if Twilight refused to become an alicorn princess? After she finds out there's a terrible price about being a alicorn, Twilight gave up her wings and ready to start a normal life without Celestia. But a mysterious threat got the main six, Spike, a certain Draconequus and a mysterious unicorn from a strange new world to team up and save Equestria from doom.

Princess Twilight Sparkle wanted to put down her crown and just be Twilight.
Many issues have been plaguing her reign, and she has found herself at the center of a broken world. Celestia and Luna had told Twilight she was ready to lead Equestria, but what if they were wrong? Now Twilight wonders if she can ever fix the kingdom that has been torn apart.

Fortunately, with her friends by her side to help her journey back to the Equestria she loved, Twilight's reign as ruler will help the world heal.

Berry Punch has taken to the hobby of pulling out the old lawn chair and watching Ponyville explode. It seemed a little too common at this point to be honest. How many times could a town explode before it got old?

Everything was going the way it usually did. Her on a lawn chair, bottle of wine in hoof, and a catastrophic event playing out in front of her that would no doubt be written in the history books. A usual afternoon in Ponyville.

Then a certain dragonequus shows up, drained of his magic, down on his luck, and in need of some mortal wisdom.

The fate of Equestria rests in her hooves, and Berry Punch doesn't even know it.

It is the eleventh century and world is at war with faction's across vying with one another in conflict, for dominance, ideology, greed or want. It is a time of ruin, of tragedy, and the forging of the world's fate to come in blood and iron. All the while Equestria faces its darkest hour as it is set to be nearly annihilated by the changeling menace. The rallying cry to defend one's country for home and hearts has been sounded and the few that can are called up to fight, whether they are willing to or not.
It is also during this time that Zephyr Breeze, the younger brother of Fluttershy, has decided to run away from the conflict to anywhere he can. Where? —Anywhere that isn’t going to get him killed or forced into being a soldier of course.
So armed with nothing more than the clothes on his back, a suitcase, the emergency funds he acquired during his many depression naps following an incident he refuses to talk about, and a dubious magical blessing along with a compass from Discord, he embarks on his journey to get to someplace safe smuggling himself on a ship bound for The Draconic Isles. Hopefully nothing will go wrong, but with a tendency towards curiosity and a willingness to push past social boundaries something will surely will come out of the first stop on his trip, The Isles.

Discord is agitated by Ponyville's lack of chaos and decides to become the guidance counselor for Twilight's friendship school. The problem is that nothing ever happened until Applebloom and Diamond Tiara got into the school's first fight. At first, he uses the chance to "discipline" the young mares however he pleases. However, after discovering a potential secret past between both families, Discord can't help but find out what it is. But naturally, he adds his take to it.
