Sunset Shimmer isn't like the other Freshman in Canterlot High School. While so many others explain away the strange things that happen in their town, she knows better. There's an entire world out there, a world of magic and incredible creatures, one that she's determined to reach.

Careful study and preparation brings her to the portal in front of her school, at the last moment of its opening. Sunset doesn't have a clue what might be waiting on the other side, but she's sure it will lead her to the magic she's always wanted.

It all began with changelings—mysterious creatures from the Badlands who could shapeshift into anything and anyone.

When they took over Canterlot, they shocked many not with the swiftness of their attack but with how many in Equestrian society had been replaced long ago with changelings, their true identities revealed when it was too late.

In the year or so that followed, Equestria pulled back full tilt, desperate for a safe place to hide. However, no matter how the ponies tried to conceal themselves from their foes, they would always succumb to the changelings—whether by brute force from without or by covert infiltration from within.

And now, the most formidable outpost of the resistance against Changeling Queen Chrysalis—Camp Ponyville—was reported fallen, vanquished by an iron hoof. To those still alive, the changeling armies became only more unstoppable than ever before, shaking Equestria to the very core.

Or, rather, what's left of Equestria.

With this piece of news, everyone on all sides were left thinking about their next steps.

Twilight Sparkle took a nap after Season 9 ended, only to find herself back at the start of Season 1. Stuck going home the long way 'round, will she be able to keep the timeline she remembers intact, or will the butterfly effect bulldoze over everything she held dear before the reset?

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, this is a story concept I originally was going to abandon until I got a mountain of positive feedback. Expect character tag changes as each chapter comes out. (And yes, the cover image is inspired by Groundhog Day.)

Sunset and Twilight had been friends for months and even visited Equestria together earlier in the year. They just hadn’t gone on an official date as just them. Which is understandable, given the whole acclimation phase and the fact that it’s jusr so much fun hanging out with their friends.

But with the Fall Formal coming up, Sunset figures it’ll be the perfect chance.

The only thin string holding the universe together now is Twilight Sparkle, the representative of the Element of Magic and the Princess of Friendship. But with destiny already defied, how can she hope to pick up the pieces of a broken reality?

Tia is a girl whose home is near a railway junction. One day, while exploring the local scrapyard, she stumbles upon a curious-looking android that has been neglected for quite some time.

After some tinkering and polishing, Tia manages to get the robot working again, and she finds out that the cute little thing seems to have a mind of its own.

So why is it so upset?
