Sunny Starscout's ongoing search for Equestria's ancient past sends her up to the northern arctic, where it is written that a city protected by love once stood.

Sunny never expected to have an adventure, but that's exactly what recent days have thrown at her. And with that turbulent time now over, she and all the ponies she has come to know look ahead to a bright future of fun and friendship.

Sunny Starscout has lost all hope, after her search for the crystals turned out to be all for nothing, she wanted nothing more to do than to just go home and accept defeat.

But can a letter from an old family member be enough to lift the downhearted earth pony's spirits?

Pipp has a lot of expectations placed on her by her mother, due to her being the "extra princess." Her current mission is to make sure to maintain good relations with Sunny, the mare who brought back magic into the world. Though Queen Haven wishes for a tighter link between the royal family and such an important mare.

My take on a scene that probably should have been in My Little Pony: A New Generation. Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm finally hash things out before going on to Bridlewood.

Zipp and Pipp have always been distant sisters. Their interests never aligned, and rarely did they spend time in each other's company when their mom wasn't involved. But after returning from an adventure and making friends with earth ponies and a unicorn, the two royals have an important question to answer: are they sisters, or are they family?

After some time of dating Izzy Moonbow in addition to getting used to her newfound alicorn status, Sunny takes Izzy to meet her Dad at the cemetery.

As this story was very difficult for me to write, I must place a disclaimer that anyone dealing with heavy self-resentment and/or a lost loved one might not be in the right place to read this story.

While Sunny Starscout is in town running her smoothie stand, Izzy Moonbow (left home alone in her marefriend Sunny's house, which was definitely the first of many mistakes in this chain of events) finds the now-reactivated Alicorn Amulet buried within Sunny's closet of artifacts and knick-knacks.

Predictably, chaos ensues.

If there was one thing the ponies of Equestria had come to understand after their rekindled friendships, it was that the past is often distorted by time, fear, and misunderstanding. It was a long road for the ponies of Maretime Bay—as well as Zephyr Heights and Bridlewood—to overcome those gaps, but their returned unity has given way to their magic and hopes of a brighter future. A future helmed in great deal by Sunny and her friends, come what may.

Even if that first trial is the declaration of war.

The fragmented Equestrian nation has begun a hesitant trot towards reconstruction and reformation, but a long road of recovery and re-acclimation is in store for the once-segregated communities of Maretime Bay, Bridlewood, and Zephyr Heights. Friendships formed and harmony restored, but with many of Sunny's one hundred and forty-two questions still left unanswered, particularly those about why Equestria devolved to such a state, it's tough to figure out where to begin.

Maybe it'd be best for her to start with some of those newer and more personal questions...ones she'd hastily written down during their crew's quest to save ponykind from its long period of separation. The unicorn capable of answering them is close at hoof...she need only ask her.
