TENET: My Favorite Movie of the decade (thus far, anyway) · 10:59pm Dec 18th, 2020
Just finished watching Tenet about a half-hour ago from the comfort of my home with a couple of my buddies. Make no mistake, this is Christopher Nolan's best film, far and away, in my opinion. The camera work and how the footage was edited is on a whole other level, what with explosions and people shooting and doing spy things in both normal and inverted time. The acting was fantastic, especially with Kenneth Branagh's epic villain performance as Andrei Sator. In true Nolan fashion, the film doesn't explain everything, preferring to just show you what is going on. Sator is absolutely f***ing terrifying as a villain, with a very potent cocktail of psychotic, abusive and driven combined in the shape of a Russian oligarch. JDW and Robert Pattinson are excellent as an acting duo. Everything about this movie was exactly as I hoped it would be.
If you have the opportunity, buy this movie from any source. It is something that needs to be appreciated, especially since few people got to see it in theaters due to the pandemic.
