So I've been reading to many Greek mythology (research for that other project of mine) and I got this weird idea in my head
Once the the gods defeated the titans they gained control of the universe, they began to spread out, but hey the universe it pretty big so they kinds left some parts alone for the most part. Apollo and Artemis were born into a time after the titans and began to reach out more searching for control over lands that hadn't really been taken over by other gods hadn't taken complete control of, searching for a place of their own.
One of those places was Equestria, somewhere Poseidon (he made horses) had taken heavy control of but eventually left for the most part. Artemis found it first but Apollo followed her. The aspect of them that controlled Equestria changed more than other places to mach the inhabitants. Apollo took the form of a mare to better match what people expected, and they didn't use archery as much because of the inhabitants peaceful nature. Eventually they became known as Luna and Celestia. More gods that they had never heard of before began appearing, and one day Aphrodite showed up (cadence). They began to change more and more to fit their world and then there was some sort of conclusion or something...
Anyway, does this sound like something you'd want to read? are there any bits of Greek or Roman mythology that you want to see in this?
I'm sensing some real potential here.
