Big Update + Rebranding · 7:57pm Jun 4th, 2023
Any of those paying close attention to me might have noticed my recent decline in posting.
I would like to assure you this has been a temporary lull. I've been incredibly busy with writing - both commissions and something special of my own, which I'll get to later.
Through the month of June and beyond, I will be going through my backlog and uploading new stories. Past this, I have several large announcements to make.
1. I am rebranding from Summer Solstice to Incandesca. This is in the hopes of expanding my writing from pony to other areas, such as furry, fandom, and original works on other websites. I'll keep you updated as this process continues.
2. Writing 62k words in one month has put some things into perspective. Namely, that my terms for commissioning needed to change. You can see the updated guidelines here.
3. I am joining forces with a fellow writer here on Fimfiction whom you might know - Jest! At least once a month, my intention is to release a collaborative work between him and myself. In fact, I've already released one for June that you can read here!
4. Last but not least, I've been working on a personal project of mine. To those who have kept their eyes on me since the beginning, you may remember a story I wrote early on by the name of Raging Fire.
A lot of people wanted to see more to that story, and it's my pleasure to say there soon will be! Sunset Shimmer has been my favorite character since 2014, and has meant a lot to me. So, beginning on June 15th - the 10th anniversary of Equestria Girls - I will be uploading chapters of a new story: Cooling Embers.
This has been in the planning since last year, all the way up to now. It's likely to be a full novel in length. So if you're interested in reading a character study on Equestria's best horse grappling with the past she left behind, be sure to tune in on June 15th 2023! I'll be uploading a chapter every week for 17 weeks, until it is done.
And that's everything! Thank you for your continued support, and here's to future growth.
Congrats on the collab with Jest! I look forward to seeing what you write together.
By the way the link to your updated commission guidelines isn't working.
