The mane 6 and a human remember what happened after the funeral of the human's loved one.

Friends are always there for each other in the end, no matter what, right? No matter the circumstance, no matter the weather, and no matter the issues. But for a certain group of ponies, their guilt may consume them entirely.

[A/N] This story will continue for I have decided that, instead of it being a one shot, I'll add more to it from my xbox and computer (when I get one!). any criticism and advice are welcome.

The Emotions of a Human

The sky was a bright shade of blue that even put Earth's to shame. The weather ponies were doing their jobs as usual. Every cloud in the sky had already disappeared, but the weather ponies should have just left them there. The birds were chirping wildly and happily among each other, oblivious to what had transpired earlier that week. Celestia's sun was way too bright for this event that was about to unfold. And Adam hated it for that specific reason. Why was it so bright? Why couldn't it have been cloudy that day? It was as if Celestia herself was mocking him in his time of immense sorrow. Sorrow one only feels after losing something extremely precious to him. As Adam stood in wait for the event to start, he could only ask himself one question: Why? Why couldn't it have been him? Why didn't he stop her from casting that godforsaken spell? It's always the same questions he asks himself ever since.

There was the sound of clopping slowly approaching behind him. He involuntarily shuddered at the sound, for he knew who it was. Who they were. what should have been seconds turned to hours until the clopping noise finally stopped. He felt an all too familiar hoof on his shoulder. He couldn't help but scowl. She was the cause of this. She's the one that cast it. So why couldn't it have been her? Why did it have to be...

"Adam, I'm truly sorry... No amount of time can ever fix what I've done, I...I wish I could turn back time and fix this, but I can't. Please, as a friend, Please, forgive me." Twilight said while tears started to form in her eyes.

Adam didn't say a word. He only walked away from the mare; outright ignoring her. You can't blame him after what she did. As he was nearing the site. He heard more hooves catching up to him. He didn't have to turn around in order to know who it was.

"I'm just sayin'! He didn't have to outright ignore her! She said she was sorry and he should forgi-" A familiar raspy voice stopped mid-rant. There was a prolonged silence in the air. After a couple minutes passed, Adam turned around to face the group. An assortment of colorful ponies stood before him, along with the one he ignored earlier. Starting from the left was a yellow pegasus with a wavy pink mane and tail, a green dress that looked to be made out of nature herself, and three pink butterflies on her flank. The pony next to her had an orange coat and was dressed in green cowboy boots, a saddle cape (forgot what they were called) with an apple crest on her chest, and a stetson hat. Ironically, her mane and tail was made into a ponytail.

In the middle was the purple pony, Twilight. She had a purple horn adorning her forehead; she also had on a dress that looked to be made of and assortment of blue fabric, along with matching shoes. Her mane and tail were straight with a bright pink and purple stripe going through. The next pony, Pinkie Pie, had pink fur and had on a bright pink dress that appeared to be made of candy. Her hair was a darker shade of pink and was what one would call "flat". The white pony, Rarity, had on a black dress with the same colored drape across her face. She also adorned a horn on her forehead, and also had on make-up. Her mane and tail were a dark shade of purple with a puffy look to them. Almost as if she came out of a beauty salon just moments before. Rainbow Dash, The last mare, was a cyan blue pegasus with a rainbow-colored mane and tail. She also had on the same colored dress and was brandishing a grape on her chest. Her outfit was basically unfit for this kind of situation. It was as if she didn't have any respect.

They all adorned sad looks on their faces, except for the rainbow one, who looked slightly ticked off. In return, Adam scowled at the rainbow colored pony.

"It looks like everyone's here. Now let's get this show on the road!" Adam said with anger clearly evident in his voice.

The six mares and human continued walking towards the casket. It was a brown casket; the one with white flowers adorning its entire surface. The sun was already high into the sky; signaling that it was already noon. Applejack was the first one to speak. She quickly cleared her throat in preparation.

"I didn't know 'er for very long, but she was a dear friend o' mine. She was kind, generous, and strong willed. She always wore a smile whenever times were tough, and she'll always be remembered in ma heart." Applejack finished.

The next pony to go up was the pink one named Pinkie Pie. The once happy-go-lucky mare was now on the verge of tears.

"I didn't know her very well, b-but from the moment she stepped into Ponyville, I just knew we were going to be the best of friends." At this she managed a weak smile, but was quickly replaced with a frown. "She was always there for me whenever my cooking experiments went wrong, and she would always hang out with me whenever my friends were busy. I...I..." She lost all control at this point and began wailing. Tears flowing from her eyes like waterworks. She then proceeded to latch onto the coffin screaming "No, no don't take her away!". It took Twilight all of her strength to pry her off. Fluttershy was too saddened to go up, Rarity was balling in tears, and Rainbow Dash just sat there with a blank expression. Now, it was Twilight's turn to say her speech.

"Ever since I met my friends, I have never had a single regret. Up until just a week ago, I thought everything was perfect. Perfect friends, perfect life, perfect town. Sadly, that all changed when I wanted to test a certain spell from the book I got from Princess Celestia." At that statement, Adam couldn't help but feel a strong hatred for the sun goddess. "You see, it was a spell that could make one walk through solid objects. Although, the spell was very risky and one slip-up could mean instant death. Had I known this I would have never tried it." She then looked at Adam with a pleading expression, to which he responded by turning away. "What I did was stupid and dangerous, And it cost me a dear and beloved friend. One who could never be replaced." She then came trotting up to Adam, only to stop a few feet from where he was standing.

"What I'm asking for may be too much, but I have to. Please, please Adam, from the bottom of my heart, forgive me." With that, she began to cry. Tears now flowing across her cheeks and dripping into the grass. Adam just stood there, eyes all trained on him. It took a few minutes for everything to register what she just asked him. He couldn't help but frown. Anger building up at this one pony, who caused the death of his loved one. The one he cared about most. The one he can never get back no matter how hard he tried, and here is the one who caused it. She took her away from him, and is now asking for forgiveness!? He just let the anger flow through him, for the next thing he says will be the deciding factor.

"Forgive you? Forgive you!?" Adam yelled with all his might. Startling the 6 mares around him. "Twilight, what you did was unforgivable! Even if it was an accident, I can never forgive you for what you did. After the spell was over, Mary wasn't even recognizable! You wanna know the last thing she said to me in her few agonizing seconds? She said "It hurts. Please, make the pain go away daddy. Please! It hurts so much!". Those words shattered my very soul! She was all I had left in this godforsaken world, and you took her away from me. So here's your answer Twilight: I hope you rot in hell for what you've done. I never wanna see you ever again."

The words shook Twilight to the very core of her being. For the first time in her life, she couldn't even comprehend what was said to her. She just stood there, registering what was just said while Adam walked away, tears flowing from his eyes as he was slowly disappearing from view. Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and even Pinkie were all too speechless to stop him.

Twilight could only think of one word in her present state: "What have I done?"
