[PONY + FAR CRY 3 CROSSOVER] [LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE COVER ART?]

To the peaceful lands of Equestria to the harsh violence of Rook Island, how will they survive? Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash have been thrown into a world they know nothing about, and that knows nothing about them. Their new world finds them to be funny and cute, something Rainbow Dash doesn't think too kindly of. How will the kind, loving pegasus known as Fluttershy adapt? Violence is something that she has never really seen, and hoped she would never experience. The generally cocky and confident rainbow-maned mare, Rainbow Dash, is not used to violence, yet has been a fan of battles. How will she adapt to it first hand?

Chapter 1: The New World

The dark skies glared over the small town of Ponyville. The only noise to be heard was the gentle breeze of wind passing along the ground. All its inhabitants are sleeping in their hard-earned utopia. What many failed to realise, is that it wasn’t easily earned. Many a pony bled for their country’s well-being and has been forgotten for reasons locked behind golden doors. A large majority of the ponies knew nothing of violence, whilst others have no idea of the extent of it.

Anyhow, in a small cottage to the outside of the calm town, a terrified butter coloured pony stood shaking. Was it the cold? No, it was far worse. An eye-melting aura glowed upon this pony – a pegasus to be exact. If one was to say she was frightened, it would be the biggest understatement of the millennia. It was certain she pissed herself several times as a small puddle was beginning to form and the glow was firing a peculiar beam every once in a while.
“Fluttershy!” a raspy voice blew. The owner of this voice was plummeting to save her friend against this monstrosity. Caught off guard, the glow broke into two, only to reform itself before engulfing two helpless ponies.

## ”Who knew that the earth revolved around the sun?” “Who knew that the universe cared for nothing?” ##

Along the shores of a seemingly tropical island, there lay two unconscious pegasi, a blue one with a rainbow mane, and a yellow one with a light pink mane. The sea breeze blew over the two mares, covering them with grains of sand. It was almost an hour before the yellow mare began to stir. She lifted a hoof to her forehead in attempt to quell the burning headache. She turned her head to her blue friend who was still lying there unconscious.

“Rainbow Dash, are you awake?” she asked with her quiet, gentle voice as she prodded the mare in question. Slowly, she began to move as well, bringing both her hooves to her head.

“Ugh… I’ve felt worse…” Rainbow Dash – the blue mare – stated. She couldn’t deny her head was pounding like hell, but after all the crashes she has taken over the years; it didn’t affect her too badly. Fluttershy, on the other hand, seemed to conjure a head injury. Blood slowly trickled down her head, but it wasn’t more than a small scratch she probably got from a small rock on her fall. “You okay Fluttershy?” she finally asked as the yellow mare turned.

“Hmm? Oh yeah, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.” she replied quietly. Rainbow Dash simply rolled her eyes, knowing how selfless her friend was. Rainbow wiped the blood away and inspected the 'wound’. It looked more than a small cut; it appeared to be more of an imbedded rock. It would take a long time to get it out without tools nearby. Perhaps they should look at their new surroundings. It was alien. They haven’t seen anything like it before. Wherever it was, it seemed relatively calm. Rainbow pivoted her head to look behind to gaze upon a terrifying jungle. Her experiences with jungles have not been pleasant, as timberwolves, manticores and other baddies like to make it their home. Didn’t matter, they had wings; they could easily fly over the island. As she was about to spread her wings, a sharp pain pierced through her spine and she fell screaming, Fluttershy quickly running to her aid. “Oh no, what happened?” Fluttershy rapidly asked, gently massaging the crippled wing.

“Think I sprained my wing… Ah!” her wing started to jerk uncontrollably, not a very good sign for flight in a short period. After a few minutes of Fluttershy calming the tortured blue mare, the spasm seized. The damp eyes of the mare starting to calm as things became quiet once more. “Where are we?” the mare asked between sharp breaths.

“I… I don’t know? I was kinda hoping you would?” Fluttershy replied, her hoof drawing circles in the sand.

“Looks like some sort of ocean. Don’t remember one being anywhere near Ponyville.” she said. Fluttershy instantly started to cry, knowing she was in the middle of nowhere, beached in a place nowhere near her home. Rainbow reached out a hoof to comfort her friend. They sat at the beach for long hours before the sun began to set. “It’s too late to go out venturing in the forest; we’re going to have to make a small camp in a bush or tree.” Rainbow explained, trotting and looking around for a decent spot. Finally, she settled on a small cave covered by trees and bushes, barely noticeable by eye, so they should be safe. “Over here Fluttershy!” she signalled, waving her hoof for her friend to get over there. Cautiously, they jumped in and found enough twigs nearby to start a small fire. It wasn’t going to be a nice sleep, but at least it wouldn’t be too dangerous.

Sunlight seeped through the leaves onto the ponies. Rainbow was already awake, making her belly a resting place for Fluttershy’s head. It wasn’t comfortable for her, but it helped her friend, for that she would be happy. A small, quiet yawn escaped from Fluttershy’s lips. It made Rainbow’s heart flutter a bit, one day she would tell Fluttershy how she feels, though it could probably wait until after the whole jungle affair is sorted out.

“Hey Flutters, wake up.” Rainbow whispered, prodding her friend. Slowly, Fluttershy opened her eyes and stretched her appendages.

“Morning Dash…” she replied, half awake. The realisation that they were stranded at an unknown place once struck fear into her, causing her to scream.

“Shh… Shh… It’s okay Fluttershy; it’s early morning so we have plenty of time to find help.” Rainbow explained, calming her manic pal. “Your wings are still good, right?” Rainbow asked, pointing a hoof to the wings in question.

“Uh, I think so.” Fluttershy replied, stretching her wings to full length. She slowly lifted herself off of the ground and to the outside of the cave. “Um, do you need help?” she asked, hiding her head behind her mane. Rainbow spotted some vines hanging off, fairly easy to climb.

“I think I’ve found my way out.” she responded. Walking backwards, she prepared herself to get enough force to pull herself up quickly. The silence of the cave was broken by the sharp hoofsteps of the athletic mare. Her hooves quickly caught the top of the vines, and managed to pull herself out with ease. If she was correct, there would not have to be much more of this, but in the meantime, she would have to play along. “Is that black smoke over there? That usually means life, right?” she stated, pointing her hoof in said direction. Fluttershy simply nodded; obviously not eager to check yet she knew it was the only way. “I’d say it’s about 300 metres away, you up for a walk?” Rainbow asked, stretching her hooves.

“Okay…” Fluttershy responded. Fear was evident in her voice, the knowledge of delving deeper into the mass of trees and vegetation was not pleasant. Who knows what could be in there, especially in an unknown place. The pair started to walk cautiously and quietly, not hoping to run into anything. About 50m from their starting destination, they heard a loud roar come from behind them. Fluttershy instantly found cover behind some trees and bushes, whereas Rainbow was looking to find the source of the noise. Too loud to be her stomach, although, they would need to find food very soon. Back on track, she scanned the area before fixing her eyes on a large ball of fur running towards them.

“RUUN!!!” Rainbow screamed to Fluttershy, also starting to run. Her plan was to reach the smoke stack as fast as possible, as they could probably help with the bear problem. What she didn’t expect, was a large group of hairless, clothed ape things jump at her, catching her in a net. “Get off me!” she shouted at her capturers. Resistance was futile, she couldn’t escape the large net, and it only gave her more pain. Sound crackling booms could be heard from next to her. When she turned around, there was a dead bear, bleeding its head off. Its brains were seen on the floor in a messy pile, before exploding under the impact of the fallen bear. She couldn’t process this fast enough, making her puke everywhere.

“Eww gross!” exclaimed a stallion’s voice. Well, it sounded like one to Rainbow Dash. She turned her gaze to one of the ape-thingies and stared at it in wide eyes. Did it just speak? Before she could ask anything, she was being dragged to a large metal thing with four wheels. A roaring noise came from it, and smoke started to blow out of a metal pipe at the end of it. Rainbow was thrown right onto a flat surface of the machine, showing her distress by trying to escape. It was still no use. The things started to climb onto the machine, one by one. Whatever they were, they were advanced. The object that killed the bear was frightening to even a holder of harmony. “Go. ARE YOU DEAF? I SAID GO!” a thing shouted. She wasn’t hearing things earlier, these things can speak. The machine started moving at a fast speed, it was like a carriage, except it was automatic. After a few minutes, a thing came up to her, and asked: “Did you speak earlier; you look like a very pretty pony. Make a nice rug for the boss.” Rainbow Dash was positively scared. It wasn’t just the stallion-thing, but the thought that Fluttershy is out in the wild, with no pony to help her. “Don’t look so sad, it will all be over soon. First, we’ll take you to the boss, and then he’ll slice you open like a pig. Your wings also look like a good decorative item.” it said, stroking her mane. She simply glared at him.

“Why are you doing this?” she scowled. The thing instantly stepped back, before bursting into laughter.

“Hey, hey guys! This pretty rug talks!” it roared. It had an accent like she had never heard before. Before she could respond, they all started to laugh.

“Yeah right, what you smoking right now?” another thing said.

“I ain’t smoking shit dude! This is 100% legit!”

“I bet! Come on then, talk pretty pony thing!” the other thing shouted, still laughing. Perhaps Rainbow could play it dumb and not talk, or perhaps she could scare them. Yeah right, she has no chance the way they are talking to her.

“Let me go!” Rainbow cried. This was probably the end of her life.

“Hey! Stop the car, I see another winged horse! It’s yellow, GRAB ANOTHER NET!” it shouted, grabbing a net that was thrown at him. “GO GO GO GO!” it said once more. The things filed out of the car, all except one, who was looking down at her.

“Aww, are you crying? Don’t worry, we’ve found your friend.” it said almost as if it was nothing. It was everything to Rainbow Dash. Her friend would become a rug to these monsters too.

“OH SHIT A TIGER!” a voice screamed in the distance, followed by more booming noises.

“WE GOT HER LET’S GO QUICKLY!” another screamed. From Rainbow’s limited perspective, she could just about see Fluttershy cooped up in a net, blatantly crying.

“FLUTTERSHY!!!” Rainbow screamed to her friend. At least they would be together. No point telling her about her feelings now though, either it would make them die in regret or die in embarrassment. She wouldn’t risk a bad death for her friend; they would need to make a good escape soon. Well, she would have plenty of time from being knocked out by a large yellow ball hitting her in the face.

## “I’m not insane, you’re all insane, and I am normal…” ##

Fluttershy had several scratches by now, and she was tied up in a bamboo cage with her friend. The only light came from the torches placed around the camp they were at.

“Rainbow Dash?” she whispered, not wanting the guards to be alerted. The blue mare wiggled around a bit, lifting her head to see Fluttershy’s wet eyes staring at her. “Are you okay? You’ve been unconscious for hours!” her worried voice poured out.

“Yeah yeah… I’m fine. Where are we? What happened” Rainbow asked, looking at her strange surroundings, trying to remember what happened earlier.

“We were taken here by some things… I’m scared Dashie!” Fluttershy wailed as her eyes spilled a lot of tears. An ape thing came closer, weapon in its hands.

“OI! SHUT UP!” it shouted. It only made Fluttershy cry even more. “SHUT UP I SAID, ARE YOU DEAF?” Fluttershy could only cry even more. She was starving and de-hydrated. The amount of tears was not helping quench their thirst. “SHUT THE FUCK UP, OR I’LL SHOOT YOU NOW!” it screamed waving its weapon.

“Shh… Don’t cry Fluttershy…” Rainbow said, rubbing her left hind-leg on Fluttershy’s. This only made Fluttershy calm down a bit, and was now crying into her mane to try and stifle the noise.

“Good. The boss is coming later, don’t be fuck-tards.” it said, walking away.

“We… We gotta get outta here!” she whispered between sobs.

“I know… I’m thinking. These hoof-ties are poorly done. We can easily slip out of these.” Rainbow explained, slipping her hooves free of the rope. “Okay, don’t make a sound, I’m just going to slip your hooves out.” she said, untying the rope with her mouth. In the corner of her eye, she could see something walking over to them. “Pretend you’re still tied!” she whispered quickly, slipping her hooves back in, whilst Fluttershy did the same.

“The cute ponies are awake! Wonderful, now, how about we swap some questions, hm?” it said. It had a scar above his left eye and a thin, sticky-uppy mane style. “Me first? Okay… How about… WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU?” it boomed. Both the ponies recoiled at its voice. It sounded insane, whatever it was.

“We’re ponies, and you?” Rainbow replied, trying to sound as confident as she could. She didn’t need to sound scared in front of her crush, she also couldn’t seem weak.

“WOAH! Holy shit either these guys have drugged me or you actually spoke. I thought my men were high when they told me about little ponies with wings that can FUCKING TALK!” it said. “Oh, I’m Vaas. From planet Earth. I’m a fucking human. I’m sure you two smarties would’ve guessed that though?”

“No. We’ve never heard of Earth or human before… Are you an alien?” Rainbow asked inquisitively, inspecting the human.

“An alien? That’s a matter of relativity. Here, you’re the fucking aliens. This planet shouldn’t have fucking ponies flying around.” Vaas laughed. He was enjoying this so much. “Oh yeah, I’m a MAN. Not a fucking pussy female like you two, incase you retards didn’t know.” What was a man? Fluttershy could only suppose it meant male. Rainbow had no clue what she was doing. She could only hope to play along enough to get free or something. “Tell you what, I’ll take you to my personal camp, I heard that two dickhead sky divers have been caught.” Vaas said, motioning to a guard. “Oi, untie these shits and put them in my car.” The guard nodded, unlocking the door to the cage. When Rainbow turned her head, Vaas was already far away. The only people nearby was the guard. Rainbow saw a knife, while he was untying Fluttershy, she could pick it with her mouth and stab him. It was the only way, and she had to do it. Faust gave her this chance; no way she was going to waste it. Quickly, she slipped from her rope, grabbed the knife and stabbed the poor sod in the back. She pushed it down to the floor to muffle any screams, and stabbed him again through the throat.

“Eek! No no no no no no nononononononononooooo!” Fluttershy whispered, head turned away and eyes covered. “Is he… Dead?” she asked, tears forming again.

“I hope so, we need to get out of here fast, follow me!” Rainbow whispered back, crawling out of the cage. She spotted an exit to her right, but that was blocked by several houses, and obviously guards. If she had any chance of survival, they would have to move quickly before they could be spotted again. “This way Flutters!” she beckoned. Rainbow snuck behind a crate with a guard on the other end. It wasn’t ideal to kill these things, but it was the only way. “Hey Fluttershy, I need you to throw a rock over there, okay?” she whispered as quietly as she could into Fluttershy’s ears. Fluttershy could only obey, and so threw a rock just a bit ahead of the man.

“What was that?” the Guard asked, walking a bit ahead to find where the noise came from. Rainbow quickly pulled out the man’s knife and stabbed him to the floor from his neck.

“I don’t like this Dashie! I want to go home! I can’t do this!” Fluttershy wailed, moving to the Guard’s side of the crate.

“Fluttershy, look at me, once we escape this, we can try and find the way back, okay?”

“Mhm…” was Fluttershy’s only response. The death of two humans was painful for her to see, and she could feel there would be more. Rainbow was busy looting the Guard, and came up with a small storage sachet, the knife, a map and a compass. She rolled open the map to see where she was in relation to Ponyville. It snapped her heart in two, as the map only revealed an island, blatantly far at sea. “Where are we, does it say where we are?” Fluttershy asked, glaring at the map.

“No, but we’re in the middle of nowhere.” Rainbow replied. “We’re not too far from a beach, only a few hundred mi-“ she was cut off by a Guard standing in front of her. “Horseapples!” she exclaimed, running to pick up the knife.

“What do we have here, escaped ponies? I think the boss is waiting for you. Come here…” it said. It couldn’t take a step further as a knife was already in the back of its head. Rainbow stood back as the body fell to reveal Fluttershy, with her eyes closed behind him. Fluttershy actually killed something. Rainbow was torn between feeling concern, worry or pride from this.

“Quick, let’s go Fluttershy.” Rainbow said in a low, monotone voice. Fluttershy simply nodded and followed.

Chapter 3: A Narrow Escape

The two ponies snuck behind the houses, the exit being closer each second. The grass was very dry, and it was hurting their hooves as well as tickling them. The only obstacle stopping them from reaching their goal were two guards, having a friendly chat about their many sexually transmitted diseases. Fluttershy picked up a rock and threw it to the opposite end of the small alley-way they were at. The two guards instantly turned around and walked to the source of the noise whilst Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash started to crawl out of the small exit hole. It took a bit longer than expected for Rainbow Dash as she found it difficult to crouch and walk for too long. Just as she was almost out, she heard the two guards behind her.

“Hey, what’s that rainbow hair going out of the small hole?”

“I don’t know, let’s see…” one said as he fell to the floor in attempt to see. “OH SHIT! THE PONIES ARE ESCAPING, SOUND THE ALARM!!!”

“Oh fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck FUUUUUUUCK! Vaas is going to skin us alive if we do that!”

“Or he’ll pay us for seeing them escaping, DO IT! DO IT NOW!” he screamed. Fluttershy and Rainbow were quickly galloping away by the time the alarm was sounded. They had no idea where they were going apart from away from the maniacs. The loud booming noises once again filled the sky, and the ground started to form pillars of dust around them. Obviously their weapons fired projectiles of some sort as Rainbow saw a pellet fly past head and right through a tree. Whatever it was, it was powerful. They approached a cliff-edge with a lake below it, no beaches to be found. Without flight, Rainbow was useless. She had to make a decision on what to do fast if she was going to survive. The sound of that machine came closer and closer and closer, Rainbow had run out of time to think so she had to act fast.

“THERE THEY ARE, SHOOT THE FUCKERS NOW!” Vaas screamed, firing at them himself.

“JUMP!” Rainbow shouted, pushing Fluttershy into the lake far below before jumping herself.

“NO! COME BACK HERE YOU WINGED MOTHER FUCKERS!” Vaas screamed, looking over the edge. “They’re gone. Oh you fucking fucktards. Can’t wait until I get to burn you alive. I’ll be nice, you can keep your tiny dicks for now.” he spat spitefully.

##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##~~##

Fluttershy slowly opened her eyes to be greeted with a darker human with glasses and a cup of some sort in his hands. She was in a bed, with a towel and cover over her. Rainbow Dash was already awake, sipping from a cup, shivering in the cold.

“Where am I?” Fluttershy asked to Rainbow Dash.

“Someplace called Amananana Town or something…” Rainbow replied, the lack of heat evident in her voice.

“It’s AH-MAN-AH-KI Town!” the man said laughing. “You’ve been sleeping for a long time, Fluttershy, was it?” he stated as he came to sit on her bed. She instantly retreated back to huddle in a corner of her bed.

“How… How do you know my name?” she whimpered. It wasn’t often that a random pony, or thing, knew her.

“Your friend over there told me. Don’t worry, I mean no harm unlike those pirates who kidnapped you. I also saved another man who was swimming in the same storm as you. I’ll take you to him when you feel better or vice versa.” he said. “Oh, I’m Dennis, by the way.” he said holding out a hand to shake. Cautiously she accepted it. It was weird feeling those things (claws?) wrap around her hoof, but it overall felt friendly. “Relax, you’ll do your muscles in huddled up like that.” Dennis said, standing up and placing the mug down. “It’s hot cocoa.” Fluttershy had not really had hot cocoa much, only a few times when she was young. She preferred tea as it helped her relax, yet this was equally tempting from either the thirst or the sweet smell of it.

“Um… Thank you, sir.” she whispered kindly as she slowly relaxed and started to sip on the cocoa. Her taste buds started to fry up under the heat, so reflexively; she stuck out her tongue and began to breathe.

“Uh, are you alright there?” Dennis asked, not used to this kind of behaviour. Fluttershy nodded her head and blushed; it was a bit embarrassing to do something like that, especially since her long-time friend was laughing her head off. Fluttershy just put her head down and carefully sipped the drink. Long, quiet minutes passed as they were all left to their thoughts.
One scene kept replaying in her head. The time she stabbed the man, it kept replaying, the feeling of warm blood splattering on her face and the slow start of the blade was pushing into the neck, then the speed of which it finishes its blow. She felt as if she would not be able to recover from such a crime. She had never done it before let alone seen it happen, unless you count Rainbow Dash’s defensive murders. She turned her head to see Rainbow Dash staring at her, deep in thought.

“Dashie?” she asked, pulling Rainbow out of her thoughts. Instantly, she blushed and turned away.

“Sorry, just thinking about earlier.”

“Me too…”

“You girls haven’t told me about your adventures yet, though I presume they were bad?” Dennis asked intrigued by their behaviour.

“I’d rather not talk about it.” Fluttershy said, hiding her mane behind her face and trying to think of better thoughts than the mind-haunting one.

“Guess it’s up to me then.” Rainbow said as she started to recall the terrible events that have revealed themselves.

“Wow. I’m not sure if I should be impressed you escaped or surprised about this magical pony land.” Dennis joked. Neither Fluttershy nor Rainbow Dash found his joke to be funny. In fact, Rainbow Dash felt offended by joke against her homeland.

“Hey! My world is much better than this!” Rainbow argued. “So, do you know where Equestria is?” she asked once calm.

“Not a single place on Earth called Equestria, sorry.” Dennis stated. Silence filled the room for several stretched minutes once more, before Fluttershy exploded into sobs. “Hey hey, what’s wrong?” Dennis asked as he walked over to comfort the distressed pony.

“WE’RE NEVER GOING HOOMMEE!!” she cried. Dennis ran to get some tissues to dry up the eyes of the pony. It was a bit difficult as the eyes were almost as big as his hand and she had fur which got damp anyway.

“Shh… It’s okay, I’ll help you get home, I promise.” Dennis said reassuringly.

“It’s going to be hard Flutters, but I know we can do it together.” Rainbow Dash added. This quelled Fluttershy’s tears and sobs.

“Well, first things first, I’ll go check on Jason, I need to give him the tatau of the Rakyat warrior.” Dennis said, slapping his hands on his lap and getting up to the door. “Best you two stay in bed for now, you felt pretty hot when I took you out of the waters.” he added as he left the room. The last sound that could be heard for hours was a simple click of the door closing.
Both ponies sat in complete silence, replaying the past in their minds and thinking of causes on why they are here. During this time, Rainbow Dash took one nap and finished two drinks. Fluttershy was intent on looking at her surroundings, trying to figure out the impossible. They say hope conquers all, yet hope is futile. Hope has never helped anyone. Hope. Is. Insanity.
