Chapter 1

"NO WAY! We are NOT going to war!" shouted the Doctor. "There isn't a reason, I mean, we don't even know who he is! You just want to start a war based on the fact he made you regenerate? that's just stupid! And yes I'm assuming because we have NO IDEA who he is! We no nothing about him other than-"

"You done yet?" asked Dan.

"I'll shut up now..." said the Doctor.

"I'll admit, i owe you all an explanation, I also lied a bit, Doctor, i am not the genetic template of your species, we were just both exposed to the same anomalies you were, next, we have to go to war because it won't be our choice, and finally, if he wins this war, the whole of reality will perish, understand?"

"Right now, I could care less about a thing you just said, my head is still reeling from the fact that- all this just- it- all- UUUUGGGGGGGGH! I need coffee..." said Twilight as she wandered out of the room.

"Alright, anyone else need coffee?" asked Dan.

The group said no in unison, they couldn't handle the physical stress, combined with their mental stress.

"Good, now, Celestia, we need an army, find every eligible Colt and Stallion you can and recruit them, ill give them weapons and armor. Luna, I'll need you to give me a map of Equestria and help point out key strategic points to set up a research facility. The rest of you, sleep, you'll need it, I'll wake you when you are needed."

As Dan said that, everyone but Celestia and Luna dropped to the floor.

"I'm not sure my people can handle the thought of war..." said Celestia.

"Tell them that if war frightens them, loosing will be a pain far worse than death." said Dan harshly.

The only humanoid walked out of the now silent room into the hallways.

"I'm sorry everyone," he whispered to himself, "but what is going to happen is inevitable..."

Chapter 2

"Citizens of Equestria, Today, I wish I were speaking to you under lighter circumstances, but as many of you may know, we have visitors from another world, and one of which you saw attack another one of your fellow citizens, or so you thought, that man has declared war on us, and with what weapons he will attack us with I know not, but we need warriors to defend us, I cannot lie, many will perish, but know this, should we loose, death would be a mercy compared to what will happen. I shall require one Stallion from each able family, you will report to my new head of militarized operations, Dan, who you will meet later on, I beg of you citizens, remain calm and cooperate, for not only do our lives and survival depend on it, but the whole of creation. Thank you."

Celestia stepped down from her podium as she walked away to her throne room as the doors closed behind her. In the privacy of her room, she collapsed and broke into tears.

"W-What is happening? Why is this happening? W-Why???" cried Celestia.

Dan came up to Celestia and gave her a nice long hug.

"I'm sorry, but it will only get worse, many will die... and there is nothing that can be done other than to fight." said Dan.

Luna walked in, levitating a map in front of her.

"Dan, I have gathered the things you require, a map of the land, and points marked." said Luna.

"Thank you, though I feel you should be with your sister, she is not well... I will work on the weapons and armor." said Dan.

The night rolled on into the next day, As the First day of war, rolled into the Second Day.

Chapter 3

"Alright recruits, today, Equestria faces a greater threat than ever, as you can see, I am evidence of the fact that there are more than just timber wolves and ghosts that can cause harm, today, marks the Creation of the 267th legion, the first militarized force in Equestria, and you fine men, and women, are the first to use these new weapons and armor..." Dan said pacing back and forth in front of his new recruits.

"What exactly is this stuff, I-If you don't mind me asking?" asked a rather frightened Pegasus stallion.

Dan walked up to the recruit.

"What's your name recruit?" he asked

"Umm, It's Starfall, sir..." said Starfall.

"Starfall... Nice name... Make sure you remember who you are..." said Dan as he walked away to grab the armor.

"Put this on, it is your new armor, to be worn at all times, it is made of Carbon nano-tubing, really cool, and light, but VERY strong, yet it wont protect against squat, other than cosmetic damage, and generic bullets, and by squat i mean anything that our enemy will use against us, mostly because we are limited by our resources here... Here I have your weapons, each weapon is specific to each race. This is the DC-24 Arcane carbine, used by the unicorns, who have to levitate the weapon and think of firing it, the levitation is amplified by enchantments which in turn, amplify the bullets, which thus can tear through 4 feet of steel, all these weapons have a telekinetic trigger... This is the DC-41 Arcane bolter, used by the pegasi, same firing, except hand held and very light, it is meant for scouting missions. This is the DC-419 Arcane Railgun, used by all races, can be levitated or hand held, large bullet capacity, DO NOT LOOK INTO OR STAND IN FRONT OF THIS GUN, You will most likely get blown to bits. And for the Earth ponies, you get the DC-69 Mini-gun, yes, its powerful, no it does not shoot chocolate, and as the same as the last one, DON'T STAND IN FRONT OF IT OR LOOK INSIDE THE BARREL, that is for a different reason though. Also, they are called Arcane weapons be cause I used Arcane enchantments on them and the ammo, so it would only be wise to point this thing at something you intend to kill or mutilate horribly. Now, I've covered weapons and armor, lets go testing." said Dan as he signaled the recruits to a firing range.

"Later you will do a simulation of combat followed by a live fire course, the armor will ensure you don't die and that your body will still work, but getting hit will make you wish for death to relive you of the pain, I'm just joking, but it hurts a lot."

The recruits picked up their assigned weapons and lined up for the range. Each recruit seemed to be doing quite horribly at first, but they soon picked up, especially recruit Starfall, he seemed to know what he was actually aiming for.

"Not bad recruits, a few more months of training and you might stand a chance against the enemy, who we don't really know much about... Scratch that, just do as I say and you'll be back home in no less than 15 pieces, I promise." Dan said as he walked away from the group of recruits.

"Get some training in before you go to sleep, some of you- well, most of you, seemed to have lost track of time, but that doesn't account for you people taking 23 minutes between each shot, also, Starfall, come and see me when you can."

Starfall went to his assigned quarters after his meeting with Dan, he had yet to wonder why he was called in, he did nothing out of the ordinary, or, at least he thought. He entered the mess-hall to see more recruits than he remembered seeing earlier.

"Where the heck have you been man? We thought you left yesterday after he called you in." said one stallion.

"I only just came back from the meeting now..." said Starfall, obviously confused.

"Bro, listen to me, you have been gone for a whole day, maybe you forgot what you were doing, but it was a whole day, my name is Tiled Sky, weird name right? anyway, I'm your bunk mate, I'm just making sure you didn't bail, or else you would have been shot with one of those guns we tested." said Sky.

"Alright then, I guess I'll see you later then-"

"Who are you talking to?" asked Dan.

"Wait- What the, I was just- But-" Starfall began to grow even more confused.

"Just as I suspected, you notice it too..." said Dan.

"Notice what?"

"Don't you feel like something is wrong, like something is to short or like one hour felt like mere seconds?"

"Yeah, but I was just at the cafeteria, but tomorrow, and I was nowhere to be found after this meeting and that time tomorrow."

"That is because the whole of creation is breaking apart, what ever happens in this war will destroy creation, inevitably, but I don't know when..."

"What the hell are you even talking about? I'm still getting used to the fact that you're basically a hairless ape with magical powers, AND EVEN THAT I'M STILL FINDING HARD TO UNDERSTAND!"

"I'll explain as we go along, but you must tell NO ONE of this, and I mean it, you may be thinking 'Oh well if the whole of creation is going to be destroyed then why the hell should I care?' Well, Just because it is destroyed, doesn't mean that it can't be rebuilt, it's called recycling, stuff cant really ever be created or destroyed, it's just less orderly..."

Starfall awoke in his bed in the barracks.

"What the hell? Damn, I got to stop drinking coffee..."

"SHUT UP AND SLEEP!" shouted a rather agitated stallion from across the room.

"A third day behind me, and many more to come I guess..."

Chapter 4

The barracks were empty when Starfall awoke. Not only were they empty, but covered in dust, as if nothing had been there for ages.

"Where the hell is everyone?" he asked himself.

"I think the proper question would be: 'What happened to everyone?' To which, my answer is this, I have not the slightest idea." said a voice from behind Starfall.

Dan was standing next to Starfall's bunk, apparently he had been there a while now.

"I told you once before, Reality is falling apart, and it gets worse and worse as we near the day it all happens, but for now, the mystery of the missing recruits needs to be solved." said Dan.

"Ok, but why is everything covered in dust? I haven't slept that long, plus, I would have starved, or some other thing, I would have been woken up!" said Starfall, frantically trying to make sense of what is happening to him.

"You are falling through time, every now and then you will jump either forwards or backwards in time. Each displacement become farther apart the more it happens, and the jumps occur more often as we near that day, soon others will jump, but you are the only one who is jumping, for some odd reason, just you..."

"So, how long has it been since, well, they were here?"

"5 years."

"What?! 5 years?! I have jumped 5 years into the future?!"

"Oh no, you jumped farther, you wen't M.I.A 3 years before that."

"WHAT?!?! 8 YEARS?!"

"Yes, 8 years."

"So, what happened to everyone?"

"What the hell are you talking about? Were fine, I should be asking you what happened." said one recruit.

Starfall was back in the Mess-hall again, but everyone seemed different.

"You have been gone for 3 MONTHS!" shouted the recruit.

"I-I'm sorry, I have to go!" Starfall said as he ran out of the Mess-Hall and to Dan's office.

"Y-you said I was gone for 8 years! But it was only 3 months!" shouted Starfall in anger.

"Oh, you have been gone for 8 years, but now you have been gone for 3 months, history changed." said Dan.

"What? How? That doesn't make any sense?!"

"I'd give you an explanation, but you wouldn't understand, so I'll simplify it, Reality is like concrete, well, it was, now, it's concrete that has yet to harden, anything could happen to it, say, it was supposed to come out flawless, but instead, someone steps on the mush, and their print hardens and becomes the concrete... You see?"

"I guess, but, if history can change so easily, why is that bad?"

"It's bad because the universe can now be changed without the risk of a paradox, meaning, time is being re-written, the universe will slowly become more and more controllable the closer we get to the day that this all surrounds."

"So what do I have to do with it?"

"I honestly don't know, you're just the one person to fall through the cracks first."

"We aren't in your room anymore, are we?"

"We haven't been in it for about 5 minutes. Now I'm falling with you. As the cracks grow larger, more people fall in, but at the same relative time, meaning, if someone else were here that was falling through the cracks, he would follow us exactly."

"So, I could jump, and no one would notice it?"

"Well, for them, you would simply just disappear, then you would just reappear, out of nowhere, no flashy lights or anything. I'm sorry, but this meeting is done, I have work to do."

With that, Starfall walked out of the room and shut the door. Dan sat down at his desk.

"What the hell are you planning Datherik..."
