A Bit of Red:
A Day in the Life of Big Macintosh
I awoke this morning to the light of Celestia's Golden Sun, I stood up with a pop of my joints, and a crack of my neck, and went about my daily rounds. I walk downstairs to find that Applebloom and Applejack are already awake, 'hmm... that saves me the trouble of having to wake them up.' I thought to myself, "Howdy Big Mac, Mornin' Big Mac," they both say to me I merely give them a nod and say morning before i start working on making myself and the others and decent breakfast.
We finish eating breakfast, save for Granny Smith who has yet to awaken, "Are ya ready fer another day of applebuckin' there Big Mac?" asked Applejack. "As always, we're gonna hafta work harder today though cause it's about Applebuck season again." I'm sure AJ and Applebloom can sense the tiredness in my voice. "Somethin' the matter Big Mac, ya'll are lookin' kinda tired?" "Oh no, there isn't anythin' wrong I'm hopin' I don't get hurt this applebuck season, ya'll remember last season when I had done went and hurt mah ribs don'cha?" "Hahaha I remember that Big mac, well how about we get to buckin'." "Alright I'll meet ya as soon as i put up the dishes."
I walk outside to find Applejack already working on bucking the apples along with Winona right by her side, running around and barking, she's a good dog saved my flank more than once, she saved me by leading Applejack and her friends to a downed tree that was on my leg, glad I had her with me that day.
I would say it's about noon now, I spot Rainbow Dash Napping in one of our trees, I decided waking her up would be a bad idea, cause I know how AJ and her can both be a bit of an hothead, so I just left her to her nap. When I spot Twilight Sparkle carrying Spike and a basket of apples on her back I guess she was talking to my sister about something I couldn't hear about what though.
The day went off normal as any other day, I finish apple-bucking, walk around the farm making sure everything is alright, then I take the apple stand to town to sell some apples. I wish something would happen to change up this day.....Wait, what's that? As soon as I think that a whole mob of ponies and Pinkie Pie come down the street chasing Twilight and Spike, screaming something about tickets or some nonsense, to add to the this already entertaining sight there is a source of upbeat music playing from Celestia knows where, but it soon passes and the day goes back to its normal routine.
It's about dark now and I'm pulling the applecart home, "I'm more than ready to get to dinner and bed." I think loudly to myself. I get home and AJ is the first one to greet me then Applebloom. Applebloom starts telling me about her day at school, and Applejack is working on dinner, and Granny Smith is snoozing in a chair, I chuckle and face-hoof slightly at the sight that is common for her.
We sit down to dinner (after waking up Granny Smith of course), and dig in to the carrot and herb stew, AJ and I fixed along with the dessert we made (mainly apple pie). In the meanwhile, AJ was going on and on about how she got tickets to The Grand Galloping Gala or something like that, got a little annoying after awhile if you ask me. After that we get done eating and get ready for tomorrow.
Author's notes: This was a day in the life of Big Mac (from my point of view anyway), I hope everyone that reads this likes it, if you have any tips at how I can make my stories better I'll gladly accept it, this was my first fic so criticism is accepted of course lol.
