Minty looked up at the familiar sky and smiled. "I feel like an idiot." she heard a rustling sound behind her. "What do you mean?" "Well..." She said, scraping her hoof at the floor. "I just feel like I don't belong ya know?" The other pony pulled her covers over her head. "Well can ya have those feels in the morning? I'm tired." "But its not as dramatic! Night is THE dramatic time!" The other pony let out a groan and looked at her. "Minty, your planning something, aren't you?" Minty nodded. "Yup, I'm going to run away and get a life, wanna come?!" The other pony sat up in her bed. "But what about Mom and Dad?" "I have that covered" She replied as she pulled out a note with two pairs of socks attached. The other pony shook her head. "Wow Minty, you really planned this all out don't you?" "Yup, I was thinking of waiting till we all get our Cutiemarks but aint nopony got time fo dat." "When are you leaving?" Minty put some extra socks in her suitcase "As soon as I see Celestia's sun, thats when." The other pony yawned. "Well good luck Mints, try not to get eaten k?" Minty turned her head towards the pony as she closed her suitcase. "Thanks Pinkie."
*Hmm hm hm hm HM hm hm hm hm* "I'm so glad you're my friend?" Minty turned around to face a snow white pony with a "mostly" kept mane walking through the door of her shop. "Oh" Minty giggled "Hi Sunny Daze" Sunny smiled and switched to walking on her front hooves. "Sup Mints?" "Oh you know..." she replied getting out some frosting. "A little of this, a little of that..." "So you've been making sock cakes all day." "Uh, ya" Sunny returned to standing all fours and adjusted her sunglasses. "You and your socks Minty." Minty grinned. "Socks are my thing, my trade mark, kinda like your sunglasses" Sunny Daze smiled. "My stunning shades ARE pretty awesome huh?" "So Sunny, you coming to High Rez's surprise birthday party?" "Oh ya," Replied Sunny. "I hear 8-Bit has her hooves full with all the planning, and I bet Surprise is going nuts with excitement." Minty giggled as put the finishing touches on her sock shaped cake. "So what brings you here?" Sunny Daze grinned. "I was just wondering if, just maybe I could have a-" "Free cupcake?" Minty interrupted. Sunny nodded. "Ya" Minty looked Sunny in her sunglasses, and noticed that they almost seemed to glow in the light. "Sure, if you pay 2 jangles" Sunny shook her head and pulled a backpack out of nowhere. "You said 2 jangles?" "Eeyup." Sunny pulled two coins out of the backpack and put them on the counter. "Thank you, now i'll be right back..." Minty walked into the back room and opened the fridge. "Cupcakes... Cupcakes, A-ha!" Minty pulled a box out of the freezer. "Here we-" she turned and stopped dead in her tracks. "D-D-Discord?" "SHHHHHH!" Hissed the unexpected visitor. "Ok listen, Celly says I have to reverse all the stuff I did when I escaped the 2nd time, corse that makes NO sense since that was only for an hour, but Thats what she said so say goodbye to Paradise city Minty Pie!" "Wow that escalated qu-" and with a snap of his fingers, she was gone. Discord chuckled. "Dis gon b gud" "Minty I heard voices wha-" Sunny froze when she saw Discord. "Oops, well I'm out." and he snapped his fingers. Sunny just stood there for a second, and then she ran out the shop screaming.
Minty woke with a splitting head ache. "Ow ow ow..." Minty rubbed her head and looked around. She was on a bench in the middle of a small park, young fillies were running around EVERYWHERE. "Were am I?" "Well howdy there stranger!" Minty looked behind her and saw three fillies grinning at her "Oh, sorry I didn't see you three there!" She stepped off the bench and faced the fillies. "What can I do for you guys?" "Wh'ell we're going around askin folks to go to Sugar Cube Corner so we can get our advertisin cutie marks" "And since we've never seen you before-" "So we were wondering if you wanted to go!" Minty smiled. " Well I am pretty hungry..." "GREAT!" Interrupted the orange Pegasus as she began to push Minty down the road. "We are SO getting our advertising cutie marks!" "You know, you don't need to push me!" Minty commented as she was pushed into the doors of a large shop. "Rhight! Cuz we'r here!" "Oh." Minty looked around, spotted the counter, and started walking towards it. "Uhh, hello? Anypony here?" "JUST A SECCCCCCOOOOONNNND!" A loud girly voice replied. As soon as the reply came, a bright pink earth pony bounced in and grinned widely at her. "HI I'm Pinkie Pie an-" The pony stopped and squinted her eyes at Minty. *Gasp!* "MINTS! ITS YOU!" Minty's jaw dropped. "PINKIE? How?-" She was cut off. "OHMYGOSHWEHAVETOTHROWAHUGEPARTYFORYOU!HOWHAVEYOUBEEN?WHATSYOURFAVORITECOLORISITSTILLGREENOHMYGOOOOOOSSSHHHH!" "PINKE!" Pinke stopped and gave an embarrassed smile. "Sorry, but seriously! Where have you been?" Minty smiled. "Oh you know, around..." "Uhh ah hate to interrupt.." Pinkie looked past Minty. "OH! Girls, this is my sister, Minty!" Pinkie put slung her hoof over Minty's shoulder. "Shes been missing for a long time, but now she's back!" Pinkie gasped. "I have to show you to all my friends!" She started dragging Minty towards the door. "Come on! We'll start with Twilight!" "Sounds like a plan, but let's not drag me the entire way"

Kimono nodded as she scanned the room for magic with her horn. "There is defiantly traces of strong magic here, i'm in the dark about what kind though..." "Maybe she was ponynapped by aliens!" Kimono rolled her eyes. "Ha ha, very funny Masquerade, this is a serious situation!" Masquerade landed and sat down next to Sunny. "Kimono, I'm being serious, this is as serious as I can get" Kimono rolled her eyes again. "Hopefully, this is just a prank, because this magic could rival Mimic's" Sunny Daze tilted her head. "Seriously? Dudes, we have a maaaaajor puzzle here." Before Kimono could respond, the sound of a door opening interrupted her. "I'll go see who i- " *Slam!* "DID SOMEPONY SAY PUZZLE?" Puzzlemint closed the door behind her to reveal a smashed Masquerade. "Oops! Terribly sorry Masquerade, didn't see you there!" Kimono stifled a giggle. "Puzzlemint, just in time, we need some help-" "Ya, the aliens got Minty!" Kimono rolled her eyes again. "Minty has gone missing, your good at finding things right?" Puzzlemint nodded and started scanning the area with her horn. "Yes, this IS a puzzle, the magic used here is extremely strong, who knows what Minty could be dealing with!"
"Almost...Done..." Twilight hovered carefully over the top of her book sculptor as she placed the last book on it. "YES! It took all after noon but i did it! A model of Canterlot made entirely out of books!" "TWI GUESS WHAT?!?" Twilight let out a yelp of surprise and fell into her book Canterlot, sending books flying in every direction. "PINKIE!" She snapped as she emerged from the book heap. "That took all afternoon to make!" She crossed her arms (legs? Hooves?) "This better b-" "Twilight! This is my long lost sister Minty! She ran away when we were little, but now she's back!" Twilight turned her head to the mint green pony next to Pinkie who was waving cheerfully. "So, wait, your sister who you haven't seen in years just happens to show up and your not suspicious at ALL?" "Nope!" Twilight mentality face hoofed and made a fake smile at Minty. "Would you excuse us for a moment?" Minty shrugged. "Sure" Twilight nodded and pushed Pinkie into the kitchen. "Pinkie! What are you thinking?" Pinkie tilted her head. "What do you mean?" "For all we know she could be a changeling!" "pffft, Twilight I think i'd know if my sister was a changeling" "No, what i me-" There was a loud crash form the other room. "i can fix that!" Twilight and Pinkie looked in the other room to see Minty piled under the remaining library books "Uhhhh, I can fix this...."
Discord was laughing so hard he almost choked on his popcorn. "DISCORD! Are you messing with mortals?" "Maybe..." Celestia rolled her eyes. "Honestly i thought you were reformed!" "Ok fine i-" "Why did you only make enough popcorn for you?! I want some too! Now stop taking up the whole couch and let me sit down"
