Fluttershys new friend is helping Pinkie Pie. All is well until...
On one of her daily walks, Fluttershy helps a bunny. Bun the bunny is a strange bunny indeed. He can speak! Then the day before Fluttershy's pet bunny Angel's birthday, Pinkie Pie messes up the cake and has to bake one quickly. With help from Bun, will she be able to finish the cake? Until somthing happends that reveals the truth about Bun the talking bunny!
Fluttershy was on her daily stroll. "Angel, are you sure we should travel this far away from ponyville?" The yellow mare, Fluttershy said. The little bunny gave Fluttershy an icy cold stare. Fluttershy then said "Oh... okay." They walked around the outside of the dark and creepy, Everfree Forest. Fluttershy tenses up due to being near the forest. When suddenly they hear this tiny voice shouting from the Everfree Forest. Fluttershy, being the timid little pony she is paniced. She then said "There is a pony in trouble. What should we do? It dangerous in the Everfree forest!" Angel instantly ran towards the voice. Fluttershy said in the panic "Angel! Come back!"
Fluttershy decided that if she let Angel run off on his own, he would get seriously injured. So, she ran after him even though she is terrified of the thought that she would have to enter the Everfree Forest. She found him trying to lift a large tree branch off another bunny. Fluttershy was shocked that Angel was trying to help another bunny. So Fluttershy then said "Don't worry little guy. Angel and I will help." With all of her force, she managed to move the branch off the little bunny. The bunny had brown fur and pink eyes.
Fluttershy said "We did it Angel. Little bunny, come with me. I will make sure that you will be ok." Then the little voice from before said "Tha... thank you." Fluttershy was shocked and responded with "Where are you? I cannot see you?" Then suddenly the little bunny said "It was me. The bunny you saved!" Fluttershy shrieked and jumped into a bush. In her panic, she shouted "You! You can talk!" and the bunny responded with "Yes? Is that really that strange?" Angel then said something to the bunny. The bunny then said "Oh... I guess I am a real freak..." Then he said in a slump "I guess I shall you leave you alone... Thank you for helping anyway" and as the bunny started to walk away Fluttershy said "You’re not a freak. You’re Unique." then she followed up with "If you want to live with Angel and I. You’re fully welcome." The bunny turned around and with a humongous smile said "Really! Are you sure?" Fluttershy said "Yes, I tend to many animals that are sick. I also have a lot of space so you won't be a bother." The bunny then hopped over to Fluttershy and told her "If I am going to live with you, I have to tell..." and the bunny stopped mid-sentence. Finally he said "my name... It’s Bun."
Then headed back to Fluttershy's cottage. Fluttershy tended to the wounds that were cause by the branch and set up a bed for Bun. Bun quickly became friends with Angel and they spent a lot of time together. Fluttershy rarely saw Angel nowadays, but at least she knows he is happy with his new friend. One day, a week before Angel's birthday. Angel got trampled by a herd of cows. He was severely injured and could not talk or even walk. Bun was with him at the time. He told Fluttershy that while they were fooling around the fields at a nearby farm, a bunch of cows just started to stampede and Angel could not get away in time. Bun was so sorry that he did not get Angel out of harm’s way.
Fluttershy has been tending to Angels wounds for two days now and she forgot to buy food for her animals and herself. She saw Bun about to leave the house for the day again so she stopped him. Fluttershy told him "Um... Bun... if you could... I mean if you’re not busy... could you take some bits and buy some food?" Bun stopped and turned to Fluttershy "Yes... You've done a lot for me. It’s the least I could do..." and Fluttershy said "Thank you. Here is eight bits, this should cover for everything." "Okay. I will be heading out now..." Bun responded.
After Bun left the house and had just entered town, he realized that he did not know where to buy food. He went to the first pony he said. The first pony he saw, which was a purple pony with a purple mane and grapes and a strawberry cutie mark. Bun said "Hi. I'm Bun and I am a friend of fluttershy" the pony responded with "Woo! I must really be out of it if I am seeing talking bunnies." and then she trotted away. Bun thought "Wow... What a strange pony..." Bun then went to talk with another pony. He found a group of three. One had a pink coat with bright green hair. When Bun said hi, the three ponies said "AH! Talking bunny! Everypony panic!" and all three ran off. Bun thought "Wow... They are really rude. I am not that bad... am I?"
As Bun walked and talked to other ponies, most ran away from him or ignored him. Bun was just about to give up hope until a pink pony jumped by and said "Hello! You’re cute. You must be a friend of Fluttershy and Angel." Bun quickly said "Wait! You know Fluttershy?" and the pink pony said "yes! She is my best friend!" Then her happy face changed to shock and she said "Ah! A talking bunny!" and she was about to bolt of when Bun said "Wait! I need your help" and the pink pony stopped and turn around. She then said "Oh! What do you need! I always help friends. That means I also help friends of friends and friends of their friends friends and..." the pink pony rambled on for at least twenty seconds. Finally she finished with "and ponyville needs more maple syrup. Oh! What did you need again Bunny?" Bun exhaled and then said "I need to find a place where I can buy food for Fluttershy and her animals. Do you know of a place?" and the pink pony quickly replied with "Oh! Like sugar cube corner or the market? I know the way! Follow me! We!" and she started jumping away.
On the way there, the pink pony said "You forgot to tell me your name. My name is Pinkamena Diane Pie but most people call me Pinkie Pie or just Pinkie. Now that I think about it everyone calls me Pinkie Pie! Hahaha! Isn't that funny!" Bun shrugged and said "My name is Bun but you can call me Bunny. It sounds nice how you pronounce it." Pinkie Pie responded "It does! Okay Bunny! Bun Bun Bunny Bun Fun! We! You’re so much fun!" then Pinkie Pie started singing. It was a song about how fun it is to say Bun's name. They reached the market as soon as the song ended like it seemed like Pinkie Pie planned ahead. Pinkie Pie said "I don't think the ponies around town would talk to a rabbit. So! I can go buy what Fluttershy wanted. You just tell me what." Bun then responded "I'm not sure. She told me food for her animals and food for herself." Pinkie Pie then said "okie dokie lokie!"
Bun got some carrots, lettuce, and some potatoes for fluttershy. Also he got a bag of pet food. Bun also managed to save one bit due to Pinkie Pie making a deal with one of the sellers. Pinkie and Bun walked back to Fluttershy's cottage. Pinkie Pie told bun "It’s been fun! Let’s meet up together again" and she hopped away singing a song. Bun felt happy to meet another pony friend. Bun entered the cottage and gave the food to Fluttershy. Bun knew what he wanted to do tomorrow. He slept happily even with one of his friends severely injured.
Its now one day until Angel's birthday and he can now be left alone without Fluttershy constantly tending to him. She asked the Cakes if they could Bake a cake for Angel. They completed and Fluttershy has gone to pick it up. Bun has not been seen all day. Fluttershy finally reached Sugar Cube Corner. The cakes were out on a big delivery so Pinkie Pie was alone. Pinkie Pie was at the cashier when Fluttershy showed up. Fluttershy said "Hi Pinkie. The cakes baked a cake for Angel... I wondering if you could get it for me. If your not busy.... that is...." Pinkie Pie said "Okie Dokie Lokie! Also, how has Bunny been doing!" Fluttershy responded with "Angel is okay... How did you know he was hurt?" Pinkie Pie replied "No no no no no. I was talking about Bun Bunny! I know Angel is not well because of him." and Fluttershy surprisingly said "What? how do you know Bun?" Suddenly Bun walked in, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy both turned to him. Bun said "Oh. Pinkie Pie, you work here? I never knew..."
Fluttershy then said "Bun? Pinkie Pie? What did I miss..." and Bun said "We met when you were caring to Angel. I came to get a treat... for Angel..." and Pinkie Pie said "Oh! I'll got a cake for Angel. If you want I can also throw in a cupcake for free!" Bun then said "Sure... here is the one bit for it." Pinkie Pie then said "No no no. It's on the house. Just like the cake!" And fluttershy said "Are you sure... I can pay..." and Pinkie said "I am sure." Fluttershy and Bun left. After they were gone, Pinkie Pie realized that she forgot to get the cupcake. So she grabbed it and ran.
While Fluttershy and Bun were walking back to Fluttershy's cottage when Pinkie Pie suddenly crashed into Fluttershy and knocked her over. Under Fluttershy's weight, the cake was crushed and ruined. Pinkie Pie said "I'm so so so Sorry!" Fluttershy got up covered in frosting and cake. Fluttershy then said in a very sad tone "Angel's cake... Pinkie... why?" Pinkie Pie said "I... I shall remake it! I shall do it right now!" Fluttershy then said "okay... I want Angel's birthday to be good... maybe Bun can help you bake." Pinkie Pie said "Yes! Bunny, lets hurry! We only have sixteen hours." so, Pinkie Pie and Bun went back to Sugar Cube Corner to bake a new cake.
Pinkie Pie and Bun got back to Sugar Cube Corner. Pinkie Instantly ran into the kitchen and pulled out a few pans, flour, milk, eggs, and a mixing bowl. Bun said "I can handle it, I know how to cook a little" Pinkie pie said "Sorry, I messed this up, and I am going to fix this. I need to make Fluttershy happy." Suddenly a noise could be heard upstairs. Pinkie shouted "Pound and Pumpkin! I forgot I'm supposed to watch them today." Then she looked around the room in a panic. Then she sighed. "Bun, can you do the cooking?" said Pinkie Pie. Bun happily said "Sure! I'll get started. you go watch the foul and filly. Pinkie looked at Bun confused. Pinkie Pie said "Okie Dokie Lokie..." then she grabbed a bag of flour and headed upstairs.
Pinkie ran up the stairs and into the nursery. She saw the two young kids doing different things. Pound cake as pounding on a dresser. Knocking off diapers and baby powder. Pumpkin cake was biting on a stuffed monkey. Pinkie Pie placed the bag of flour on the ground. Then she walked up to Pumpkin cake and said "No Pumpkin. We eat food." and pulled the monkey away and placed it in the closet. Then she grabbed Pound cake with her mouth and placed him in his crib. Then she grabbed Pumpkin and did the same. Pinkie Pie said "I have too do some baking. If you want, I can sing you both a song." The babies cheered. Pinkie Pie said "Okie Dokie Lokie, only a quick song. Then you both go to sleep."

The 2 kids fell asleep. Pinkie Pie heard the door open so she started to head downstairs. Then, she fell.
She landed on her front left leg. Pinkie Pie felt incredible pain and Shrieked. The person who was at the door was Twilight Sparkle. She ran over to Pinkie Pie and said "Pinkie! I saw what happen! Do you need a doctor?" Pinkie Pie tried to stand but the second she put force on her leg, she collapsed to the ground. Pinkie Pie also shrieked. Twilight said "I am going to get a doctor. Don't worry. You will be okay." Twilight Sparkle left the building. Pinkie Pie sat there for what felt like hours with a throbbing pain in her leg. Twilight sparkle returned with Doctor Stable. He came up to Pinkie Pie and said "Its a good thing you got me here so early Ms.Sparkle. Any later and it might have become beyond repair." Twilight and the Doctor helped Pinkie Pie to a couch and sat her down. The Doctor placed a few bandages on Pinkie's leg and then placed a cast on it.
The doctor then said "Your going to have to stay off that leg for at least a week, maybe two." Pinkie Pie responded with "Then... I cannot make Fluttershy's cakes... and what about the Cakes? who will watch them?" Twilight said "I can handle those, I know a little about cooking." and she walked into the kitchen. Twilight then yelled "Ah! A rabbit! What is it doing in here?" Twilight walked out levitating Bun with her magic. Bun then shouted "Let me go!" Twilight panicked and dropped Bun. She said "It! Can talk?" then her panic turned into intrigue. She said "How? can you talk?" Bun turned away and said "It... was... ma... I was born with it." Twilight said "I am going to research on talking animals. Will I see you later Pinkie Pie?" Pinkie Pie said "Yes... ow... If you want... that is..." Then twilight and the doctor left. Now it was only Bun, Pinkie Pie, and the baby cakes.
Bun was sitting next to a tired and sore Pinkie Pie. Slowly petting her mane and telling her that she will be okay. Bun then said "I think I will go back and work on the cake. Do you need anything?" Pinkie Pie looked at Bun. She said "You are such a great friend... I don't know what I would do without you at this time..." and then she gave a weak smile. Bun replied "Oh... okay... I will... be back... with... food..." and wandered back to the kitchen. Pinkie Pie started to doze off. She fell asleep. When Pinkie Pie woke up she saw Bun standing over her with a big smile, but not a smile that Pinkie's friends normally have. Bun said in a deep voice "You are going... to be okay... Pinkie Pie... You will be...." Pinkie Pie then realized that her legs have been wrapped up in ropes.
Pinkie Pie said in a panicked voice "I like jokes Bun, but I don't like this prank. Untie me please." Bun just stared at the helpless pony for a good minute. Then he said "This is no joke Pinkie Pie. Don't worry... I have taken care of the Kids too" Pinkie Pie panicked and struggled to escape the ropes, but with her bad leg she was more or less useless. Pinkie Pie said "I... will do anything you say... just don't hurt the babies... please!" Bun's grin got even bigger as he said "Your not in any position to make demands, are you Pinkamena Diane Pie?" and Bun laughed. Then he continued "besides, the... kids will be okay... I promise I won't hurt them. Yet." Bun laughed even harder. Pinkie Pie was freaking out about what this freakish bunny did to the children. Then Bun turned to Pinkie and said "Now... what to do with you." and Bun walked into the kitchen and walked out with a knife.
Bun slid his paw down the blade as he laughed. Finally he said "Do you know what I am going to do with this knife?" Pinkie Pie said "Hopefully, not what I am thinking" and Bun said "Good idea..." and walked over to Pinkie Pie and leaped into the air and dove down blade first towards Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie tensed up as the blade grew closer and closer until...
Twilight Sparkle bursts into the room and catches Bun mid-air just inches away from Pinkie Pie's chest. Twilight throws him across the room into a wall, causing to drop his knife. Twilight unties Pinkie Pie and said "I think I found out why he can talk, and now I think I am correct." Pinkie Pie said "What...?" Twilight pulls a book out of her saddle bag and flips through pages until she stops on one page. She said "The Leshy Curse. A high level spell that can teach an animal to speak, but at a cost. The brain slowly Corrupt. There is no known cure and the spell has been outlawed for over three hundred years." Pinkie Pie then said "Then what do we do with Bun?" Twilight sadly replies "The only options are banishment where they can cause no harm... or..." She stops for a few seconds "Death" she finishes. Pinkie Pie shouts "We cannot kill Bun, think about his life and what it would do to Fluttershy?" Twilight replies "I know... but where could we send him where he could cause no harm..."
Pinkie Pie turns to the wall and gasps "Bun is gone!" she yells. Twilight said "There is no place we can send him, so we only have one option." Pinkie pie rejects "No! I cannot harm a living thing... I can't do it..." Twilight said "I know its hard... but it would be better for him in the long run." she continues "If you want, I can do it..." Pinkie Pie said "okay... Where is Bun any..." Then she realized "The Cakes!" She shouts as she starts to run towards the stairs. Her leg starts to throb and she collapses to the ground. Twilight sparkle said "I will go... you stay here and make sure he doesn't leave the building" as she walked up the stairs.
Twilight enter the nursery and saw the baby Cakes tied up and dangling from the roof. She sees Bun about to cut the rope and let them drop on to the ground. Twilight then says "Bun! Stop, they did nothing." Bun then turns to Twilight and says "Would you rather take there place?" as he lunges towards Twilight. Twilight teleports out of the way behind Bun. Bun crashes on the ground. He quickly gets up and lunges at twilight. Its a hit. Twilight's leg was punctured. She screamed! Bun laughed at her pain. Twilight kicked Bun and knocked him against the wall. Twilight picked up the knife and ran at Bun at full speed. Twilight missed and the knife bounded off the wall. Bun scurried under her. Twilight managed to kick him from behind and knock him to the floor. Twilight grab the knife from the wall and delivered the finishing blow.
Bun lays there. Knife in the chest. Twilight standing over the body with the baby Cakes shocked at the event that they just witnessed. Twilight with tears in her eyes, untied the baby Cakes and levitated the body out of the room. Pinkie Pie, with the help of twilight as a balance walked to the outskirts of the Everfree forest. They both dug a hole and place the body of the brown bunny in the hole. Both of the mares cried and decided to tell Fluttershy that Bun left ponyville to meet with other bunny's that can talk. "it's better for her not to know" Twilight said.
Its been a year since that event and everpony seem to recover from those events, but the memories will never die like Bun. Pinkie Pie still misses her friend. Even for what he did...
