Jack is now married to Rainbow Dash. This is the beginning of a new life.
Jack was a former marine of 14 years. He is now happily married to Rainbow Dash. He has the honor of being the of Luna and Celestia, as well as the lost Prince. Along with an old friend, he saves Equestria. But with everything good, there is something bad. Go look at a half-decent story. You'd be wasting your time here.

* 1 week later. *
Jack's compound.
"Alright, I'll be back with the soldiers." I told Kyle and Rainbow. I began walking to the guard barracks to pick up the elite.
I decided to stop by the donut shop again for some breakfast. " Hey." I said to the clerk. " Just a plain and some coffee today." "Coming right up." He told me as I walked to the table by the window. It took a few minutes to get the coffee and donut. " Here you go." "Thanks." I told him.
Breakfast went by uneventfully, and quick. I payed the clerk and got out in a hurry, as I was almost late. I facepalmed 'Wings.' I thought. I took of swiftly, flapping my wings furiously.
I landed minutes later. I pushed the doors open into the hall, Shining Armor greeting me. " Here to pick up the elite for your program?" "Yeah. Where are they?" He motioned for me to follow, taking me around the corner. "Here." I nodded.
" Alright! I am your new Captain! You will address me as either Shadow Fire, or Captain Jack! Every sentence you say will begin and end with "sir". Do you understand that?!"
" SIR YES SIR!" They all yelled. " Now follow me to your new base." I commanded them. I began walking back out, my troops following close behind.
We arrived at my compound, luckily for me, all of them were Pegasi. " Form a line at the wall." They lined up and faced me. " You are here because you graduated top at the of your class. I can be your best friend." I walked up at a soldier panting.
" Or your worst enemy! Are you tired maggot?!" " Sir... yes... sir." He said in between breaths.
" Well that's too bad! You rest when I allow you to rest! Now, meet your new first Lieutenant. Lieutenant Johnson! Come on out!" I yelled out. Kyle walked out of the house. " These your troops?" He asked, I just nodded.
" Lieutenant Johnson is a long time friend of mine, serving by my side in the war. Your duties here are to protect all of Equestria! When you are not resting, you are training in hoof-to-hoof combat as you cannot use guns. I will get another friend out here to measure you for your new, magic resistant armor, so get that old armor off!" I went around back to get Rarity, who would be making the suits.
" You ready?" " Of course darling!" She saluted me " Ready as I'll ever be!" She said to me, walking back out. I walked to Kyle, who was just staring at my units. " You sure you see something in them?" " They will be ready. Anyway, what color for the suit?" I asked him, referring to his new Iron suit.
" U.S. flag." "Alright." I told him " JARVIS. You heard him. " " I'll get right on it sir." I nodded. " Re-paint mine too. American flag as well."
After Rarity measured them and I paid her, I walked back to the troops. " Alright! I'll be showing you around your new base." I commanded them, motioning them to follow.
I gave them the grand tour. " And here are your new beds." I pointed. " Get settled. Meet me in the yard in three hours. Get some rest. You'll need it." I told them. As I walked out the door, I saw Dash.
" They in there?" " Yeah. Gave them three hours to sleep. Until then, we can go out. But first, I need to get Kyle to flight training 101 with JARVIS." " Okay." She said.
" Follow me Kyle." I told him, following me. " We have to get you to flight training 101 with JARVIS." I said, taking off and picking him up. I flew down the hole to the suit room.
" JARVIS, flight training." " I'll take good care of him." The system told me. " Now, the first thing is..." I heard, walking out of the room.
" Marine training, day one. I picked up the troops and got them settled in. Mobility training in three hours." I say to my day recorder.
Dash and I went out to visit our friends. Apparently Twilight had her parents over to meet her outer-universe friend." First up is Twilight." I scratched my beard. " I want you to shave that." " Alright." I told her, taking out my knife and starting to shave. " You could hurt yourself by doing that."
"I know. I don't carry around a razor."I said to her, finishing up the shave. We got to Twilight's and I hid by the door.
" Jack! Come on in!" I heard faintly. I walked in and saluted. " Captain Jack. Here to serve Equestria." " Serve?! You're just a useless, hairless ape!" Her dad snapped at me.
"DAD!" Twilight yelled. " At least I'm not somepony to insult somepony else based on them being from a universe and being the brother of the Princesses, as well as the lost prince."
His face sunk. " I'm so sorry! I...I didn't know you are the Prince! Please forgive me!" " Apology accepted. Anyway, Twilight, I've gotten the troops. They're taking a three hour rest period until they take the mobility test."
" What's he talking about Twilight?" Her mother asked. " He's the commander of that new elite soldier squad. What do you call it?" " The Marines. Special Operations unit. To protect Equestria and the ponies. We will fight to the death. Or at least my friend Kyle and I will."
" You look like you've been through alot." " I have. Served in the military for fourteen years. Seen guys die and have them get their bodys blown in half."
They just stared. Must have been my clothing, a marine helmet, SWAT-like black pants and shirt, with a black vest. " What? Humans were clothes all the time. We have a thing against nudity."
"By the way, I've got a tight schedule to keep. Let's go Rainbow. Next is AJ" I said to her as we walked out of the building.
We arrived at Sweet Apple Acres. " Hey AJ." " Howdy Rainbow. What cha need?" I came from behind. " Just a check up." She got a bit scared, and tried to buck me in the face, but I dodged it. " You really gotta stop that Jack!" She yelled at me.
" But ah guess everypony is alright." " Well that's good. We're just here to check. Got barely any time."
We left a few minutes later. By the time we got back to my compound, the boys were getting up. I kissed Rainbow and got to work. I crossed my arms as they came out in a single file line. " Alright maggots! I'll be right back!" I yelled, walking down to Kyle.
" Hey. Ready for flight?" " Yeah. Let's give them a show." he said, his suit assembling around him, mine doing the same. " No lightning" I started. " No thunder" " Nor hurricane gale can stand in the face of his wrath." ( That song.) We said in synch.
We took off and hovered above the troops" " MOVE MOVE! MOBILITY TEST! GO GO GO!" They all started off as fast as possible. " FASTER MAGGOTS! DO YOU WANT TO PROTECT?! DO YOU WANT TO GO DOWN IN HISTORY!? CHARGE!" I yelled at them. After the test, I gave the results.
"You all past. Very good job soldiers. You all just proved yourself worthy warriors."
The next few weeks were... eventful.
* 5 Weeks later.*
The Castle
"Jack! Good! You bring the troops? " "Every last one. What's wrong." She looked at me worried. " We are at war. Your team are the only ponies who can save us. Please help." I looked at my troops. " Alright Marines. We trained for this. Kyle and I will scout them out. Rules of engagement Princess?" " Take them out. Forever." I nodded. " RoE! Take no prisoners! She wants them wiped off Equestria."
" Who are we at war with?" One of my units asked." King Sombra." "Alright men! MOVE INTO ATTACK POSITION! HID UNTIL I GIVE YOU THE SIGNAL!" I yelled to them. As we got outside, Kyle and I took off.
"SIGNAL IS LEVIATHAN! GO GO GO!" I commanded. They flew off to position. " Jack?" "Yeah Ky?" " I''m... actually scared." I
looked over to my wingman. " Stand next to me, you'll never stand alone" I said. He nervously replied: "I trust you." "Good. Leviathan. " I said over the radio.
I saw my maggo- Soldiers, fly in and attack. " System status." "All is good sir. For both of you. Good luck." JARVIS replied. "Won't need it. Dash, come in." " Dash here." I looked down. " I may not make it back." "Don't say that!" " No. He's right." He looked at me, I looked back. " Fight to the death." We said. " Jack out. Helmet cam is on. You see what I see." I told her. " I love you." " I love you too." She started cying lightly. Then Fluttershy was heard. " Kyle! What are you doing?!" She asked, worried.
" Doing my duties." I started playing I won't back down by Johnny Cash. I shed a single tear " For Equestria." We both said. " Hello Tia and Luna. I know you're watching." I said. " We are. We trust your team. You're our last hope." I smiled and retracted my visor, putting sun glasses on.
"JARVIS." "Here sir." " How much firepower we got?" "In the suit, enough." I Smiled harder and started tearing. " Dash. Under the bed is a trapdoor. Open it." I could hear the trapdoor open "What is it?" " In that box. It's something you need to open if I don't live." " Don't- " "No." I interrupted her, sniffing. " If I'm not back midnight tuesday, open that. Promise me."
"I promise." She told me, crying hard. " I've lived a good life." I said, now hovering. " Thirty five years old. Today is the day I save all ponies in Equestria. Know I'll be at peace if I die, because I married a beautiful mare with a great personality. She loves me." " And he loves me." She finished.
" Day thirty-seven. If I die today, I know I will save a country. Kyle." "Yeah?" " Return to base. All units, return to base. I got this. I may die, but my spirit will go on. I lived my life. If I don't die... I don't know. If I do die, make sure my name is put on the list of heros."
" I love you all. Jack, out." " JAAAAACK!" Kyle screamed at me, as I went full speed downwards. " And I won't back down." I said calmly, as the I hit the ground, making an extremely large explosion, wiping out all of Sombra's units, as well as Sombra himself.
** Kyle POV **
The ground exploded. He saved all of Equestria. I don't know what happened next, as I was in a dream. "Hello Kyle." A voice said to me. " It's Jack. I've known you for a long time Kyle. I trust you will be fine. You're a strong man."
** Rainbow POV **
"NOOOOOOOO!" I screamed. " JACK! COME IN! COME IN!" " He said he could survive that. " Fluttershy told me. " Nopony could survive that." I told her, a soldiers voice came on. " He's not a pony. He could survive. He's stronger than any stallion I've seen."
** Celestia POV ** "No..." I said. " He... he can't be gone. He can't!" My sister hugged me. " It's alright. " She said. "His suit, I tried to break it. I couldn't." " So what?" I asked, crying. " It's made of an extremely stron metal. It means he could be only injured."
** Luna POV ** I tried to calm my sister down. I was truly saddened by this, though I didn't show it. " He could live." I told her.
** POV End. ** Jack had just saved the world from ruin. First was the ponies, next was the world. All living things in Equestria heard a voice before the explosion. " Hello. I'm Jack. You don't know me, but I just saved you all. I am probably dead. That doesn't matter. Equestria is safe. You will feel a rumble in a moment. That was me, hitting the ground very quickly, killing King Sombra and his army. I may have survived. Goodbye."
With Jack saying goodbye, all ponies felt a rumble under their hooves.
* 1 day later * It was about midnight when I woke up. ' I knew it. ' I thought to myself. 'Thank you Twilight Sparkle.' What I had done, was in the same second as the suit exploding, was teleport out of my suit. If the teleport failed, I had activated a shield around me so I would only get injured.
You can learn alot with hours of observation. I had been practicing the move for days. I began heading back to my house to surprise the hell out of them.
I flew back and arrived at around 1:30 in the morning. I knew Rainbow had work today, so I decided to wait outside until 6 when she left. My plan was to leave a note on the ground reading: 'Look behind you.' When she read it, I would jump down from the roof and surprise him.
I know my plan broke the hearts of my friends, but it was the only way to wipe out King Sombra. The explosion was large enough to kill Sombra, which in turn, would end the war.
I flew onto the roof and waited for five hours, which went by pretty quick.
* 6 A.M. *
I heard Rainbow getting ready inside, and hid back. As the door opened, she read the note aloud. " Look behind you?" I heard her say, gliding down and tapping her on the head.
" Jack?" I smiled and nodded. " No. You... you're just a dream." " I wouldn't be able to touch you if I were. It's really me." She sat there. " Jack? Dude! You're alive!" I heard Kyle yell out as he hugged me.
" Don't do that ever again! How did you live?" I just looked at him as I teleported behind him. " You learn when you observe. I've been practicing for days. I knew what I was doing. I teleported out at the last second, leaving the suit to explode. I woke up at around midnight and flew over here and wrote that note." I said, pointing to the note.
" I waited for five hours to surprise you. Don't worry about me, I'm fine. Not even injured." Kyle pointed at my hands. " Why are they doing that?" He asked me as I poked him.
"Ow!" He yelped. " Static electricity. Quite alot of it actually." I told him. " Now, where are my men?" I asked.
" I'll get them." Kyle said, walking back inside to get the Marines. He walked back out with them as I flew down. " Wha? How?" One pony asked. " Teleportation." I smiled at him. " Now, today, have a day off. Go see your family. Anyway," I told them, turning back to Rainbow.
" What'd I miss?" She looked at me happily. " Surprise the Princesses?" I nodded.
We flew faster than normal, as well as higher up as to not be seen. We got to the Castle and I broke off to the right, landing on the roof. Rainbow and I planned to have her walk in the Castle and make Celestia and Luna come out.
When they did, I would fly down and explain. I heard Luna's voice asking why they had been dragged out. Now was my time to fly down and tell them.
"Is that... It is him!" Celestia yelled out and hugged me. "Teleported out" I said to her as she opened her mouth. " Why is Kyle here?" Dash asked " Dammit man! Come here!" I yelled out as he came out from a bush.
" I have something for you." He just stared at me. Just stared at me. "What?" He finally asked." This. " i said to him, holding out my hand. He lowered his head to get a good look. " There's nothing the-AH!" he screamed out as I punched him in the nose.
" The hell was that for?!" I just laughed. " It's what you get for abandoning me in operation black heart." He looked puzzled. " Black Heart?" " Yeah. My last mission on Earth. Is any of this hitting home with you?" I asked him " No! Wait... is that where you stole the F-14 and korean missiles were lauched an-" I cut him off.
" Yeah. I made them track me instead and flew the damn things into the ocean. Almost died. All though," I started
" Almost died is... pretty normal for me. Kyle was going to shoot them down, but chickened out." I told them.
" I didn't abandon you! The General commanded us to stay grounded!" He yelled at me. " I got shot in the chest." "When?!" At this point, it was a full on argument. It looked like the girls were just talking and watching us.
" When I was dragging your sorry ass into cover! I went out and killed twenty-two people while bleeding out!" "I..I didn't kn-" I cut him off again. " I know you didn't know! I could have left you there and let you die! I saw something in you. I've seen too many men die. I did you a favor." I yelled at him as I started taking off.
" Where are you going?!" He screamed up at me. I didn't reply to him. I just took off and Dash followed.
I landed on a mountain to test something. " What are you doing?" she asked. " Wingsuit test. It will let me fly faster than you can." " I doubt it." She said. I jumped off and began gaining speed. At a high speed, I spread my arms and pulled up.
I nearly blacked out pulling up. Rainbow was trying to catch up, but couldn't. I sped past Kyle close to the ground, deploying my parachute. Rainbow finally caught up as I touched down. " That thing's fast." I didn't say anything.
I started walking back home to go to bed. I was beat to hell, and I knew Kyle was angry at me for taking a bullet for him. He knew I got shot for him. I had my reasons for saving him. The General would be disappointed at me if I didn't take care of him.
I saw Kyle running up behind me. " Why did you take a bullet for me?" I stopped dead in my tracks. " You were vital to him. You know why?" He shook his head. " Because." I said, taking out a handgun and putting it to his head.
" We knew you were a spy. We gave you false information to report back to the Koreans. General put you onto my team and told me to make sure you lived." I told him, loading a round." I could end you right now. And I would." I said, dropping the mag out and pulling back the slide to unload the round.
" If I needed to." I finished. I put the gun back into my holster. " We knew you were a spy. And you just sucked at it." He frowned at me. " They told me to spy on the U.S. They would kill me if I didn't. Wait. The guy that shot me, he was Russian? " I nodded to him.
" We were fighting Korea and Russia. Russia just joined in. We teamed up with Great Britain. Just like World War two. We tracked you. Ever hear breathing behind you when you were sent in alone into the field?" " Uh huh." He nodded.
" That was me. " He spoke up. " What about Black Heart?" I laughed at him. " You don't get it do you? Russia launched them. They wanted to destroy one thing. Only one thing." " What was that?" He asked.
" They wanted to destroy me. I was their worst enemy. I was able to infiltrate and kill their Generals." I told him, getting my face close to his. " I flew a plane into the ocean. Missiles crashing into the ocean as well."
He tried fighting me. I spoke to him as I fought. " You can't win Jack!" He said, trying to grab my pistol. " That's what you think." He managed to grab my gun because I let him. " Any last words?" I smiled. " Yeah. Reload." I said to him as I hit him in the head.
"Damn!" He yelled out as Rainbow flew over. "Stop!" " No! He's a spy! Back off!" I commanded her, with Kyle in a headlock. I knocked him out by hitting his jugular vein with the side of my hand. " What did you do?" " I knocked him out. He'll be fine." I put him over my shoulder and walked home.
* Jack's Compound.*
"Hey." I said to two soldiers. " Lock 'em up." They nodded. They took him to a cell as I observed him. Ten minutes later he woke up. "Where...am I?" " In a cell." He shook his head. " I thought we were friends." I laughed at him again. " Friends. Right. I don't befriend traitors. I'm keeping two marines posted. You try to escape, you will be killed. I need to find out what to do with you."
Kyle stayed in his cell, going back to sleep in the cot. I headed back to the Castle where Dash was. I made it back soon enough. " Ugh. I'm tired as hell. Ready to go home?" I asked. " Yeah. I missed you." "I missed you too." I said to her, pulling her into a kiss. " Come on. I'll fly you back." I told her.
She got onto my back and we flew home. " You're getting faster." " I need to be. I also need something from you." I landed. " I need you." I started, pulling up my shirt. " To help me with this." " Jack? You... have a cutie mark." My head tilted back. " What?" " On your right side." I looked to my right and saw, a cutie mark. It was an eagle.
" Well... that's cool." "What does it mean?" I thought for a minute. " It means to give one freedom or give one death. Meaning I'll fight to the death to protect my country." I smiled. " I know you would fight to the death." " If it came to it."
That is really weird. A human... with a cutie mark... I'm not in the mood to deal with this.

Off the coast of Los Angeles.

Alarms sounding. Sailors yelling amongst the ship. Among the yelling, I was getting prepared to fly. I slapped on some sunglasses and saw the General walking towards me.
" And where do you think you're going?" I Looked at him. " Sir, these missiles, they're made to lock onto a person. Not a location. It's me the missiles want," I pulled down my visor. " It's me their going to get."
" You stay on this fucking ship scumbag. We'll just shoot the things down." I Smiled at him.
" Too risky. We shoot those down, even with long range fire, they will kill too many civies. I'm gonna fly up and distract them."
" And how do you know that they're tracking you?" He asked as I sat down.
" I've got the ability to end the war on the spot. They want me dead, and Kyle's supplying false info. I am the greatest threat to them."
I would be flying my old F-14. A little primitive, but it gets the job done. " You listen to me. You stay on this ship or I will kill you myself."
I laughed at him. " Would you now? I want to end the war but you don't? Well, fuck off then."
He started shouting at me as I closed the canopy of the plane and began takeoff checks. Within the minute, I had the plane started up and ready to go.
" Beep beep motherfuckers." I said quietly to myself. My callsign was "Freedom 1-1." I taxied across the deck to a catapult nearby.
" Nimitz command, Freedom 1-1 ready for takeoff. Missile intercept." Nimitz command replying with " Roger. Freedom 1-1 for missile intercept. Clear for takeoff." I hooked up with the catapult and got ready. Not two seconds later was I off the deck.
" Freedom 1-1 climbing to flight level... Two-five-zero at six hundred. Right to one-five-five." I said over the radio.
" Two-five-zero at six hundred right to one-five-five, copy." I began banking right and put my gear up.
In ten minutes I got a good sign. An indicator showed I was locked onto by the enemy. " You gonna stick with Jack, you gonna make it back." I told myself. I looked behind me and saw the missiles. " Command, looks like the missiles are cruise missiles."
" Roger Freedom 1-1. Can you destroy in-flight?" I thought for a moment.
" No. I can, however, pull a trick to make them go into the water."
" And if it doesn't work?" I chuckled.
" Oh. It will work. You know what? We got any carriers on the way to Korea?"
"Uhhhh... yes. Why?" " Because now I can send the missiles back at them. I can outrun these things and do a quick refuel on the carrier and take off again in time."
" And... you're sure this will work?" They sounded worried.
" Yeah. What carrier is there on it's way?" I asked them.
"U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford."
Cool. New carrier to land on. " Alright. Thanks." By this time I had hit mach one. The missiles were slowed down for some reason.
An hour later, I was on the deck, missiles coming. " TEN MILES AND CLOSING!" One sailor yelled as I got ready to fly.
Launch. I was in the air again. " Thanks guys!" I Thanked them over the radio.
I could see the coast of north Korea, my target. " Nimitz command! Come in!" Then I heard a garbled voice. "...oger... 1-1... breaking...losing...strength..." 'Damn. No worries Jack. You can do this.'
"Hello Korea. Goodbye be- What the fuck?" I asked myself, looking down at a Navy strike team.
" F-14, What are you doing?!" " I'm delivering a present! I think you should hunker down!" I commanded them over the radio.
" Or what!?" They asked.
" Or this!" I yelled out as I went into a nose dive, ejecting from the plane.
A giant explosion. Luckily for me, I wasn't hurt, and I landed near the Strike team.
I landed and proceeded to walk to them.
" Hey boys. Mind a rescue?" They looked at me in shock. I shrugged and got into their RHIB. "Come on. Take me to your ship."
" Where did you come from?" On man asked.
" U.S.S Nimitz, made a landing on the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford and crashed here with the cruise missiles, into the sea."
" Holy fuck..." I smiled. I now heard another familiar voice. " Jack! What the fuck did you do?" Kyle asked.
I saw the General again. " Son... You just blew up north Korea... ending the war."
"Really? Sweet." That's cool.
" That wasn't even my plan. Did I really end it?" The General nodded.
" Pretty Badass." Kyle said.
** Operation Black Heart over **
There.
I probably won't upload until maybe after Christmas.
I was infiltrating a base to capture hostile intelligence, along with a fellow veteran of nine years. The man was a 2nd Lieutenant who had been transferred from the navy a year back.
" In position command." I said over the radio. " Roger Stranger 0-1. Stand by for visual." A voice replied. A few minutes went by before we heard command again. " Stranger squad, we have a problem. Delta squad has been captured. Save them if you can, but the intel is top priority."
I looked at my teammate, John, and told him to stay here. " Stay here on overwatch. I need to get Delta out." he nodded. I began moving to the prison and some tons of guards. 'Shit. You guys need to make a challenge for me.' I thought.
I took out my throwing hatchet and threw it at one of them, hitting him in the head. " Контакты! Пожар на цель! " They yelled out. (Contact! Fire on the target!) I smiled as I took them out silently, little did I know, they had raised the alarm.
" Jack! Multiple foot mobiles moving towards you!" 'Fuck!' I yelled in my head. I stopped firing and started running to Delta, grabbing the key on the way in. An AK-47 stock swung at me and I was out cold.
I woke up around an hour later next to Delta team and John. "Fuck..." I mouthed to myself. The room was about 20 by 20 feet, made of steel, and had no way out. " Shit. They got you too?" I asked John. He nodded. He looked like he had been tortured half to death.
" I tried to radio you, and they found me. Put me in a chamber and tortured me. Looks like you got hit good to huh? You got a gash on your eye." He said to me. I touched my eye and felt blood as a Delta team medic crawled over to me, and helped me out.
"Ahhh... Fuck. I can't see out of it." I said as I tried to get up, but just fell on my back. " Don't try to walk mate. You're hurt real bad." The medic told me. He had an australian accent.
Four hours past before a soldier walked in. " Что вы хотите? " I asked him. ( What do you want?) He shushed me. " Shh. I'm an ally. " The man said, with a french accent.
He helped us up and came up with a plan. " I can get you guys out of here. I can tell the guards I'm transferring you to another base, but really help you escape. Sound like a plan?" He asked. " Allons-y" I said. Delta stared at me. I threw my hands in the air. " What? I speak multiple languages. I need to."
One man sighed as we walked out of the building. " Damn you Russia. It's freezeing out here." John stated. We walked out of the base chained together. A Russian soldier stopped us.
"У меня есть грузовик готов передать этих людей." ( I have a truck ready to transfer these men.) " Где?" (Where to?) " Воркута." (Vorkuta.)
Vorkuta opened back up on August 29, 2013 as a prison camp for the Russian military. Brutal place. We hopped into an army truck with some weaponry in it. " Oh fuck yes!" I yelled out, grabbing an Israeli Desert Eagle, the same one I have today.
" Don't worry. I'm a good shot. I can hit a hummingbird from one-hundred meters while sprinting." I told them.
* Russian command base. *

Back to Jack
" Hey. I have a safe house in Ukraine. Right here." I told the driver, pointing to a spot on a map. " You have guns and food?" He asked. I nodded. " We'll be safe there."
A long six hour drive and we arrived at my safe house to find dead men everywhere. " Dammit! AMBUSH!" I yelled out as a rocket blew up near us. " Out of the truck! GO GO GO!" I screamed as another rocket blew up the truck.
" Holy shit! AC-130! Identify yourself!" I yelled in my radio. " We are Russian Rebels! We are not hostile!" They yelled back at us. " Mind helping us out?!" I asked them.
A Howitzer round came screaming down, exploding around a hundred feet away. " Tangos! 10 o' clock!" A Delta member yelled. " They're all around!" " I need to get to my armory!" I blurted out, firing into the Russians.
" Go! We'll cover you!" The French man told me. I ran over to the steel door, and punched in the pass-code and sprinted downstairs to the armory. Luckily they didn't find out the code.
"Shit!" I yelled out as I looked around, seeing destroyed weaponry all around. Thank fuck I have a hidden backup armory. I grabbed as many weapons as I could hold and sprinted outside.
" I got th-" I stopped dead in my tracks. Dead. Dead everywhere. Bodies blown in half. People missing heads. The most alive person was John. I ran over to him and dropped the weapons. "What happened?!" I asked him, half-panicking.
" That... AC-130... Is... inaccurate as.. fuck...They shot...a howitzer... blew up everything..." " Son of a-" I cut myself off, grabbing a Anti-tank Rifle and aiming at the plane. " Fuck you." I said over the radio, firing the Rifle, blowing a hole in the wing.
" We are going down! I repeat we a-" The radio cut off. There was an explosion and I went to check it out. I found a living man. " You the gunner?" I asked. " Y-yes..." He coughed up.
" This is something I wanted to do for a long time." I told him, pulling out a hatchet. " N-no! Please!" He begged as I raised the hatchet. I swung it and struck him in the arm, almost chopping it off.
I swung repeatedly, mutilating him. I didn't care that I was covered in blood. I had done this before. Twenty bounty hunters. Twenty murders. I was a troubled man.
* A bar in Nevada. *
2 A.M.
" Hey asshole. You took my seat." A biker said to me. I turned around. " I don't care." I told him. He tried to hit me. It didn't work, as I grabbed his fist. I saw rage in his eyes. I had no expression.
He pulled a knife on me. I pulled a bigger knife. He pulled a gun. I pulled my fists. " Your gun, versus my hands."
I swiftly disarmed the biker, taking his gun. He pulled his knife out again. " You don't fuck with a man who escaped military prison, nearly got blown to smithereens, and shot down a military gunship."
I saw terror in his eyes. " He-he's joking! He's acting like a tough guy!" " No. I've seen shit you couldn't DREAM OF!" I yelled in his face. " I Cut apart the bastard who killed my squad. Cut him into pieces," I started, pulling out the bloodied hatchet.
" With this axe." I saw Pure terror in his eyes. " And I can do. It. Again." By this time, I think he shit his pants, as he was out the door in three seconds flat.
I sat back down. " Vodka." I said to bartender, who was frozen in place. " Y-you didn't really do all that did you?" He asked. I looked around. I saw terror in peoples eyes.
"I did. Fourteen years in the marines. Takes away your life." I told him. " You look like..." He thought. " The man that single-handedly took down a base with no support. Because I am." I saw fear in his eyes. I can tell what people are thinking just by looking into there eyes.
The bartender handed me a large glass filled with Vodka. One of those huge ones. I chugged it down, seeing my good eye in the reflection. I saw depression in my eye. I sighed. " I never had a family. Grew up on the streets, getting food from a garbage can."
" My mother died giving birth to me. My dad abandoned me." I had a tear in my eye. " One guy from the marines, Kyle Johnson. He was a brother to me even though he's a spy, working for Korea." I saw loneliness, in my eye.
" Plus I can't see out of my left eye." He examined the gash. " Must've hurt." A voice came from behind.
" Spetsnaz Soldier Viktor Moskvina. Do not worry. I am here to help you." He said to me. "Though, I was sent out to kill you." He added. "Why don't you?" I asked. " Because. I can help you." He stated.
"Bullshit." I told him. "There are Spetsnaz soldiers surrounding us right now. I can get you out. You and me, we are not so different."
I just kept looking down, the tear in my eye dropping into the glass. " You were abandon by society. I was abandoned by Moscow." " There's a large difference between those two." I stated.
Suddenly, a bullet ripped through the window. Every person in the bar, including Viktor, dropped to the ground. I stayed sitting. " It takes strength to do that." He said, I guess trying to cheer me up.
" Do what?" I asked. " To not even flinch when a bullet goes by your head." He said. I laughed a bit. " I thought that was a fly."
" I can tell you are sad." He got up. " I can tell you have seen some shit." He added. I saw anger, in my eye.
I saw fear in their eyes. I slammed my hand on the bar. " Meet me behind here, in the alleyway. We can talk there." I told him, slapping a hundred dollar bill on the bar.
We met behind the bar ten minutes later. " What do you want?" I asked him. " I want you to come and live with me in Ukraine. How do you say... No homo. I want you to have a life. I have a wife and two kids." He looked at me, almost like a brother would. Not that I know what that's like.
" I'm a wanted man. The Russian Government wants me dead." I looked back at him. Anger in my eye. " No. That's what you think. They want to leave you alone. What do you say? Housemates?" He held out his hand.
I stared at him. " I'll tell them to go away." I saw worry in his eyes. I shook his hand, but he pulled me into a hug.
" I'm going to have to adapt." I Said as I broke off the awkward hug. " To?" He asked. " Everything. Life, society, Russia."
' I... I have a family?' I thought. 'I have... a family. They're not really my family but... Fuck it.'
" Hey. A message came for you." I looked up from my book as Rainbow handed me a letter from Celestia. It read,
" To Jack. You are needed as soon as possible at the royal castle. Come alone. This is very important.
Princess Celestia."
I jumped up from my chair. " I have to go. Celestia needs me for something." I said as I ran out the door. I ran as fast as I could and jumped off of the slope, spreading my wings and flying away.
' What could she need me for on such short notice? ' I scratched my forehead.
I arrived in minutes, landing at the gates. I walked inside. " Follow me. " One of guards commanded me. He escorted me to a room that had at least six ponies wearing white lab coats, and Celestia.
" What is it? " I exhaled. " Good. You're here." One of the lab coats said. I looked around.
" We need you to take these researchers to cave in a nearby mountain. We stopped getting updates letters from the outpost. We need for you and them to check it out." She added. She didn't even take a breath during that. " Where at? " I raised an eyebrow. She pulled down a map from... Fuck knows where, pointing to a spot to the east.
" Right here. Get going." She told me. I signaled for the coats to follow. We walked towards the mountain, which seemed like hours.
After a while, we finally arrived. " See anything? " One coat asked, nervously looking around. " No. Let's move into the cave. They might've hidden in there. " I looked around. " This place could crumble at any time. Careful. " I added.
We headed inside the cave. " This place smells..." One said. " Focus. " I Whispered. We headed a bit deeper into it.
"Shh... Run!" They all started running as the cave began crumbling. " Oh shit!" I fell to the ground, flat on my face. I stumbled to feet, I think the researchers were already out of the cave.
'Fuck! No!' I yelled in my head. The entrance caved in. "Dammit. Anypony hear me!?" No reply.
I sat down on the ground, staring. Waiting to be rescued. I must have sat there for four hours. As luck would have it, I had food and water. The biggest problem, was air.
Just as I began eating, I heard something hitting the rocks. I hopped up. " Hello?! " I heard a voice call out. It was Rainbow.
" Rainbow? That you?" I called out, seeing a small hole in between the rocks. I started kicking out the rocks. A long process, but I had to do it.
" Stand back! " I yelled out, raising my leg for a final strike. "RAHH!" I kicked the rocks, crumbling them.
I sprinted out of the cave and Rainbow knocked me back, hugging me. " Why would you do that? " I Laughed. " Celestia commanded me. I serve my higher ups." I smiled. " Come on, I need a shower."
So, we headed back home, Celestia and Luna were there.
" We heard about the collapse. Are you alright?" I sighed. " I... Yeah. I'm good." " You scare me." I raised my eyebrow, and looked at Dash.
" Why's that?" I chuckled out. " I'm always afraid you'll never come back. I worry about you." " I'll always be here. Trust me. I lived fourteen years in war-zones. It's a lot easier here. I like easy. It's like I used to say, The hard we do immediately. The impossible takes slightly longer." I lied.
" Alright, the impossible I also do instantly. I... have something to tell you. I've never told a soul this before." She cocked her head. " I... I'm a terrible man. I was wanted in more than a hundred countries. A lot of people wanted me dead. I killed many men for no reason. I used to chop up their bodies and hide them. I once stole more than a million dollars from a bank. Killed more than a thousand people in my life. Innocent people. And for what?" I asked.
" For nothing. I was depressed. I have nightmares every single fucking night. I drank vodka all night, to escape the horrors. I've seen things you couldn't dream up in your worst nightmares. No matter what I do, I can't escape it. I need more vodka." I walked over to my stash of alcohol and grabbed some.
" This sums up my life right here. Pain, sorrow, everything bad." I raised up the bottle. " Some of that is gone now." I threw the glass bottle at the wall. " I'm in constant pain. Some people back on Earth would take drugs and get addicted. I say it's better to stay in pain." I sat down in a chair.
" Than to get addicted. I'm a strong man, but even the strongest people, or ponies, need support. I was... I was wrecked. I had nothing to live for. Then this man, Viktor Moskvina. He took me in, brought me into his family. He was a good friend. Then," I started.
" He betrayed me. I shot him in the chest. Non-fatal wound. Kept him away. I fled to Afganistan. I had a contact there, who really took me in. Didn't betray me." I took out my side arm." Didn't hurt me, didn't report me to the militia." I took out the clip, and threw the pistol and clip on the ground.
" Every inch of my body." I stood back up. " I didn't care about who I was killing. As long as they weren't close to me." I looked at my boots and smiled. " My clothing, my world was changed one day." I looked back at Rainbow, who was standing there.
" That day, was the day I came here." I began walking downstairs to Kyle's cell. " Wake up." I told him. " What?" He asked me tiredly.
I opened his cell door. " Get the fuck out of that cell, and go. Go out on the town, take Fluttershy out on a date, something. I'll pay all of it." He looked at me in confusion. "W-" I cut him off. " Go. Out. On. The. Town. Meet some new ponies. Something. I will pay it all." He slowly walked out, seeing I did not have a weapon on me, he relaxed.
I walked back upstairs. "So. What do you what to do today? I'll pay. We can go out on the town, or just do nothing." I smiled. " You... never told anypony on your planet that?" She questioned. " No human, no pony."
We hit the town. Went shopping all that stuff. Did whatever she wanted.
" That'll be two hundred bits." The cashier told us, I payed him and we headed home. We also stopped by Fluttershy's cottage. " Oh, Hey Jack. Hey Rainbow." Fluttershy greeted us, and invited us in. " Haven't been here in a while. Hmm. New bedroom?" I looked around. " Didn't Kyle tell you? He's moving in." I cocked my head.
" No. He didn't." I broke out in laughter. " What is it?" Rainbow asked me. " N...nothing. Just..." I frowned. " Something I shouldn't be laughing at. I need mental help. It's something you'd think I'm insane for." They just looked at me. " Terrible things. Almost makes me puke."
I ran off back home, leaving them in question. I'd much rather have it that way. I don't want them to know. It was the worst thing I had ever done.
Rainbow found me sitting on my chair, with a bottle of vodka.
" Why did you run off?" She asked me. I couldn't tell if she was angry, or worried. " It's the worst thing I ever did. It's come back to haunt me." I feared. " You can tell me. You can tell me anything." I broke down crying, something I'd almost never done. " We were in a desperate situation... A Sniper shot my teammate. I was trapped there for days with no food... After four days... I... I ate his body..." I fell to the floor, crying like a drunken baby. I was somewhat tipsy.
" I never forgave myself for that... It haunts me now... I can hear his voice sometimes." I wailed. I got up and walked to bed. " Don't worry about me... I'll be just... fuckin'... fine." I slipped into bed.
' I Ate a man's corpse... I can never forgive that. He was a good friend too. '
* Morning *
" Unghhh" I groaned. " Get up." Rainbow commanded me. I got up and down to the kitchen and looked around. I saw a bunch of ponies.
There was Twilight, Fluttershy, Pinkie, AJ, and Rarity. " Oh boy... What now?" I asked. Damn I was tired. " We heard about what happened. What you did." Twilight spoke up.
" I know... I'm a terrible man." I ran my hand through my hair. I like my Black hair. It matches my personality. I guess it is like a pony's mane. " No. You were doing what was needed to survive." She reassured me. "He was dead anyway. " Rarity added. I jumped the damn railing. " You do NOT Insult that man! He was my friend! I pretty much ate myself!" I snapped. " This is why I have so many secrets. Things I don't want others knowing about!"
If Rarity was able to, she would have shit herself. " I'm sorry... I just... He was a great man." I reached into my pocket and grabbed his dogtags. " These are his tags. They're used to identify dead and wounded soldiers."
" Humans eat anything that has meat. Except other humans. It was a crime against nature. I never forgave myself. Not even now." "You said " So many other secrets." Care to share some?" Pinkie asked me.
" No." I flatly said. " Aww! Come on! PLEEEEEEASE?" She nagged " Fine." I took a breath " I attempted to kill myself multiple times, I've killed over a thousand innocent people, I was wanted in over half the world, I shot a man in the foot and set him on fire, I killed the crew of a Russian submarine and launched four missiles at them, I killed an American General and over a hundred others, and stole a tank and blew up half the base. Just to name less than five percent of them. Happy now? Goodbye." All in one breath.
I stormed out the door and flew to the top of a mountain. 'Peace and quiet.' I thought. This was the only place I could really be alone. I sat on the edge of the summit, legs dangling off.
Images of me and my buddies flashed in my head. One stood out.
It was a picture of me and my best squad. I can still name them all. Left is Axel " Chewy " West, second to left is me, Jack " Psycho ", second to the right is Ryder " Cliff " Marshall, And last is Kyle " Stinky " Johnson A.K.A. The only other human here. When I picked up Kyle from Earth I also got together with Cliff and Chewy for lunch.
I miss them. Axel and Ryder. Axel mostly, as he was my best friend. Pieces of the conversation from the day I had lunch with them repeated in my head.
" Ah y'know. Same old same old. What about you Jack?" Cliff asked. " I been out country lately. I won't be in touch for a few years so, yeah. What's up with you Ax?" I looked up, Cliff talking to himself again.
I looked down at Ponyville, my compound, everything. I have a lot here. Too much if that. I really don't know how I got that compound built in a month. I looked at my wings and got ready to jump.
" Hup." I jumped off. I put my wings out and pulled up about fifty feet off the ground ' Never gets old.' I thought as I landed at my place. " Home sweet home." I opened the door to see Rainbow laying in some blood. I instinctively grabbed my gun.
" Rainbow!" I shook her. No response. I grabbed her and ran out and nearly broke the door off it's hinges. I flew as fast as i could to Twilight's.
I kicked in the door. " TWILIGHT! GET OVER HERE!" I screamed out as she ran in. " What happened?" She questioned. " I don't know! Get her to the Hospital! Now! I think I know who did this!" I ran out.
I was headed for Kyle and saw him outside Sugarcube corner talking to Fluttershy. I think I made my point when I landed. " You son of a bitch!" I grabbed him by the throat and smashed him into the wall. " I'm gonna stick a fucking grenade down your throat and watch you explode!" I Screamed in his face. I was in pure rage at this point.
" Jack! What are you doing?" Fluttershy... Screamed? At me. " He might've killed Rainbow!" I smashed his head into the wall again. He grabbed my arms and started fighting back.
" I'll fucking kill you! And then I'm gonna chop off your fucking head, you son of a bitch!" I shouted at him. After a minute of battling I grabbed my choking stick I carry around and hit him across the head as hard as possible, knocking him out instantly.
I had the heart to take the scumbag to the hospital where I met with Twilight. " What happened?" She asked me. " He did it. I know he did. I beat his face in with this." I took out the bloody stick and showed it to her. " How's Rainbow?" I added.
" Don't know. The doctors are checking her now." I saw some doctors cart Kyle into a room and I sat down, arms folded.
It was about an hour before the doctor came back. " She'll be heal over time, but for now she has to stay here." I nodded. " And Kyle?" Twilight asked.
" You really hit him hard. He's awake if you want to see him." We both nodded and walked into the room where Kyle was.
My hands and feet hurt like hell from landing so hard. I didn't care. I stared at him for a while. I don't think I was this pissed off in... Ever.
" Kyle. I know you did it." I stated, with absolutely no emotion. " You're right." He coughed out. " Kyle, I fucking hate you. I brought you here for one reason. A lot of people wanted you dead. I saved you, and you hurt me. I could kill you right now. But I won't. I want to see you suffer. This is why they called me Psycho."
" They also call me." I started, removing the sunglasses I was wearing to reveal red eyes. " Vengeance. I do to others what they did to a friend. I don't care what happens to me. As long as I avenge that person." I lowered my head and stared at the floor.
I slowly began walking out the door after I put my shades back on and walked into the room where Rainbow was. I pulled up a chair and fell asleep in it.
* A week later. *
I visited the Hospital every day. It wasn't a week until she started waking up. " Ungh." I woke up to see Rainbow waking up. " Doc! She's waking up!" A doctor ran into the room and I got out of his way. " Jack?" She asked.
" I'm here." I grabbed her hoof. " How do you feel?" " Who did this?" She asked. " Kyle. I beat him until my arms got tired." I said.
" Why do you always wear those glasses?" She questioned. ' Ah shit' I thought to myself. " I never got to see your eyes. I want to see them." I looked at her in confusion.
I tilted my hat down to cover my eyes as I took the glasses off. I closed my eyes. " Because I'm not normal. I've always" I started, tilting my hat back up and opening my eyes. " Had red eyes. Nobody else has red eyes on Earth. And I like to wear these glasses. Make me look cooler." I finished.
We're talking red like, bright red. " I always thought of myself as normal but, I knew I never was. I was labeled as crazy, insane, or as the Marine Corp. named me, Psycho. Kyle was always normal, my team was normal. I was Insane. Didn't care who I killed. The red eyes are because I was always the one guy who Avenged friendly deaths. Or at least, that's what I think it is." I calmly said.
" You know, you're always too calm." She told me. "Heh." I laughed. " I know. Years of craziness, you learn to keep calm." I put my glasses back on and sat back in the chair.
It was a long time until Dash came back home.
* 3 Months Later *
Today was the day Dash came back. " Ready to go?" She nodded at me. " I'll carry you back" I said as I lifted her onto my back.
I walked out side and took off towards home, where there was a 'Welcome back party' Hosted by, who else, Pinkie Pie. I landed and helped Rainbow inside. " Surprise!" A bunch of ponies rose up.
I did a little half-smile. " I got something to do. I'll be back, you enjoy the party." I started walking to Fluttershy's place, where Kyle moved in.
I knocked on the door and Kyle let me in. " What do you want?" He angrily asked me. " Come on. Party at my place. You hurt anypony there, I will kill you. Don't think I won't" He followed me back to my house.
" So. Anyway, how's Mystic?" I asked him about his foal. " She's fine." He tripped over a rock. I burst out laughing.
" Damn you're clumsy!" I helped him up.
We got back to my place at, what I could tell was, Noon. Kyle started talking to ponies as I went over to Dash.
" How you feeling?" " It's good to be home. I missed this place." I smiled at her. " I haven't been here in days. Stayed in a tent outside the hospital." I said as I cracked my back. " Much better. You know why Kyle attacked you?" She shook her head.
I got up and walked over to my bar where some ponies were waiting. " Cider." They said one after another. "Cider coming up." I turned and poured some cider for them, and some vodka for me. "Here you go." I took a drink from my shot glass.
" Russians know how make a drink, I'll give them that."
Four hours and some random music later, I went to Kyle.
" Why'd you do it?" I asked him. To which he replied. " To hurt you." I turned to him, completely calm, I told him " You smell, you are not a good person, you are a traitor, you are a worthless piece of crap." I looked into his eyes. " And I don't like you. Plain as that."
I felt a small pain in my chest. A knife. " You're gonna need to do better than that." He looked down at the knife angrily. " What the fu-" I put my hand on his mouth.
" There are small ponies present." He looked around and punched me in the face. He then ran onto the stage where he challenged me to a fight. " Come on, I put you in the hospital for two months, I can do it again."
I saw him run towards Rainbow with the knife. ' Wrong move bitch' I smirked. Royal Guards knocked him to the ground where they arrested him.
" I WILL KILL YOU JACK! I WILL KILL YOU!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. " Have a nice trip! Hope the court case goes well!" I laughed. I walked back to Rainbow who was confused at what just happened.
" Don't worry. He's been arrested. " She started crying. "What's wrong?" I asked, confused as all hell. " It's just... I feel like I'm always being saved by you. I used to be able to defend myself. Now I can't." I lightly punched her fore leg. " Come on. I'll teach you some things." I signaled for her to follow me downstairs. " Plus I saved you only twice."
" I can't fly down." She had a point. Her wing was hurt pretty bad and hadn't fully healed. " Climb on." I helped her onto my back and I flew down the hole.
I lead her to an empty room. " Alright, first try- " I trailed off until half an hour later.
" Now for a last resort. Hit me decently hard right here." I pointed to my jugular vein. And she did, I was out for five minutes.
" Nice work. That can be used if Kyle ever gets to you. Speaking of, I think he's a little... Mentally unsafe."
I can't much remember much more of the day until around 8 P.M. when I woke up on the floor with Rainbow eating dinner.
" What happened?" I looked around. The place was cleaner than I left it. " You passed out with a bottle of something." I looked at my hand and there was an empty Mountain Dew bottle. " How the hell did I get this?"
I heard a pistol load. " I'm back." It was Kyle. " Killed the Guards and grabbed one of your friends from Earth." He laughed insanely. " Jack..." A voice called out from behind Kyle.
It was Axel. " How the fuck?" I saw Axel reach for a nearby revolver and slide it to me. " What the?" He pointed the gun at me.
I quickly picked up the gun and shot Kyle in the head. I got up and walked to my friend. " Ax. You okay? How did you get here?" " I'm good. I've really been here a while. A month I think, in a town far from here."
" So you know what's happening?" I helped him up. " Yeah. Nice to see you." He hugged me. "Nice to see I'm also not the only brony in the team too." He whispered. " Anyway, Rainbow, This is a good friend of mine, Axel. We fought side by side for years." She waved.
" Nice to meet you. So, Jack. Mind telling me what just happened?" She asked, in shock from the killing. I took off my blood splattered glasses, Axel looking into my eyes. " I never seen your eyes before."
" I'll explain over dinner."
We talked and talked. Rainbow got to know Ax too.
" You can take Kyle's old room. I got to report this to Celestia." I walked outside and took to the skies.
* The Castle *
" Celestia. I need to talk to you." She flew down to where I was standing. " What is it?" " First, Kyle killed some Guards. I had to use deadly force. Second, one of my friends back home on Earth is here." I explained to her.
" I know. I heard he was in Equestria. He arrived a month ago. As for Kyle. You said deadly force?" I sighed. " I killed him, I had to. My old friend Axel is here now though. You want me to bring him here in the morning?" She nodded. " I'll see you then." I took off again.
Back home. Finally I can sleep. " I'm back. Good night." I noticed Kyle's body was gone. " They took his body to be buried in two days." He told me.
"Hey. You know what happened to Ryder?" " Mmhmm. He got married and... That's all I really know." He explained. " You know I'm married?" He looked at me questioningly " Yeah. Married Rainbow a few months back."
" Wait wait wait wait. A few months? Is that where you where? Here?" I nodded. " Anyways, Night Ax." I headed down to the bedroom where Rainbow was sound asleep. I slipped under the blanket and fell asleep pretty fast.
I woke up at 6:30 in the morning, earlier than I normally would. Truth is, my birthday was coming up in two weeks. I cracked my back and went downstairs to hear Axel talking.
" Hey." I waved to him. " What do you want for breakfast?" He thought for a minute. " How about we go out? Rainbow already left for work." He got up from his chair and handed me something metal and I put it in one of my pockets. " By the way, Celestia wants to see you. Let's go." I put my sunglasses on and we left.
" Heh. Remember that time those guys from Russia wanted to talk to you?" He asked me as I checked the mail. " Yeah. They wanted me to get on a plane and meet up with them. Anyways, what are we going to do about the whole Kyle situation?" He didn't reply until later.
We got to Sugarcube Corner quickly, probably because we were in a hurry. " Hey Pinkie." I waved at him. " Oh! A new face! You're one of those humans too aren't you?" Ax nodded. Fucking Pinkie man. Something wrong with her. " This is Axel. An old friend of mine. Found his way to Equestria a month ago. Listen. I got some bad news. Kyle's dead, I shot him." He hair straightened, which sort of freaked me out.
" Is that like, mood or something?" She looked at me and nodded. Damn she freaks me out! " Sorta like my eyes. They change color based on how I'm feeling. That's why I wear these." I took my shades back off.
" I can tell what color they are though. Right now they're Silver. Here." I took out a paper and pen and charted what my eye color means. " It's a chart of the colors and what they mean. Anyway, I'll have a salad."
"Same here." Ax added. He was the kind of guy you just wanted to be around, while I was the guy who will rip your throat out if you hurt my friends.
" What are going to wear?" I sighed and looked out the window. " I guess you could say I'd look like a Government agent just without the ear piece. Fancy suit, maybe a hat, and one of these." I smiled and took out a compact pistol.
" Whoa. You got weapons?" I started laughing my ass off, putting the gun back in my holster. " Oh. You're serious. Yeah. I got plenty. And I mean Plenty" Pinkie came back with our salads and ate breakfast.
" Come on. We're going to be late at this rate!" I took off running, Ax following a bit back. He wasn't really a running person.
" Alright. We're here. Follow me." He followed close behind, out of breath. A Guard escorted us to a large wooden door. " You'll have to stay here." He told me as my friend walked in. I leaned up against a wall and grabbed the metal item he handed me.
Dog tags. Ingraved in them were the words ' Ryder Marshall ' I clenched my fist and frowned. " Goodbye friend. " Axel came back out a minute later.
" Give me a SitRep." " She gave me privileges of a normal citizen. Can we head home now?" I put the tags in my pocket and reached into another, grabbing my tags and putting them around my neck.
We headed home, getting a lot of looks on the way. " Ignore them. Some ponies don't really like humans it seems."
I closed the door behind me, grabbed a chair and went out back to take nap.
* A few hours later *
I felt a bucket of water splash on to me. " You got m-" I stopped. I was in a room with Axel, not in my house I know that much. " Good. You are up." A voice said. We were strapped down to chairs.
I looked around. A pitch black room, luckily for me, the robotic eye I have has night vision. " Do not resist. You can not escape." The voice told me. " Who are you?" Axel asked. At least he's awake.
" Do not resist. You can not escape." It repeated. Me and Axel looked at each other. " Who are you?" He asked louder.
" Do not resist. You can not escape." It just kept repeating. " You got a plan?" I looked around again and came up with one. " Air vent. I can feel my..." My ropes came lose as we heard a scream.
I quickly grabbed my knife and cut our ropes. " Come on!" I handed him my knife and took out a pistol.
Axel climbed up the vent and helped me up. " We have to get to the scream. This could be a Search and Rescue now. " I put a clip into my gun and readied it. " There." Ax whispered, pointing under him.
What he saw terrified him. A pony strapped to a table being slowly killed. " Go go go!" I punched down the vent and dropped down, looking around slowly.
Axel dropped down and we saw another pony, masked this time. " Get down!" He yelled out, to no effect. The pony kept torturing the prisoner. I sprinted towards the torturer and tackled him as my friend released the prisoner.
" What is this place?" I put the gun to the pony's head. " Tell me or I blow your brains out!" No reply. I noticed he was quietly muttering " Do not resist. You can not escape."
Just then I heard a scream and I woke up on a mountain. " What the hell?" " You have terrible dreams, you know." A voice replied to me. I recognized it as Luna's.
I looked around and saw her. " Where am I and what's happening?" I looked around and saw nothing but snow. She disappeared into a black smoke.
I blinked and I was back on my chair, in my backyard. " That... was weird." I got up and walked back inside to find Axel sitting in a chair.
" I just had the weirdest dream. You and me were strapped to chairs and-" " Yeah. I had it too. Strange." I walked downstairs to the barracks.
" How are you all?" They all saluted me. " At ease. As you may know, your Lieutenant is dead. I had to shoot him. Funeral is in six days. Anyways, take a week off, go home, anything. Come back in a week." I heard a door open upstairs and asking for me.
I flew up the hole that connects the underground and the main building, and saw AppleJack. " Hey AJ. What is it?" I put my shades on and landed. " Ah just got a big order that needs to be delivered. Can ya pick up Applebloom for me?" " I don't see why not. I'll drop her off at the farm." I began walking out the door and stuffed my hands into pants pockets.
" Thanks partner!" She quickly went out the door. I started whistling a tune I learned in the Marines.
Since there was a few minutes left in the class, I decided to slow down and walk there. I felt a pain in my chest. " Dammit. Fucking flare ups." It was caused by the "Incident" with Twilight a few months back. I'd been getting chest pains recently because of it.
I don't blame her when she hit me with the magic bolt. She didn't do it on purpose. Kyle on the other hand, he got what was coming to him. He almost killed Rainbow and hurt Axel.
" So much for walking." I took off from the ground, faster than normal.
I got to the schoolyard and waited on a bench near the main exit. Not even a minute later, Applebloom came out. " Hey Applebloom. Applejack told me to pick you up." I got up and another pain in my chest.
I walked her home, but the real pains started on the way back to my place. " Fuuuck..." I was limping by this time, and my wings were to tired to fly. I knew something was wrong here. Next thing I know I'm propped up against a tree, passed out.
" I WILL KILL YOU!" I heard Kyle shout in my head.
I woke up against the same tree at night time. I began limping back home. I like this night vision mode. It's helpful. It wasn't easy getting back though. I kept falling over.
I Stumbled through the door, Axel getting up to help me. " Get me to the table." He helped me get to the dinner table and sat down. " What's wrong?" He asked me, sitting down across from me.
" I don't know. I'm having trouble walking and I got chest pain." I got up and went over to my bed where Rainbow was sleeping. I laid down and went to sleep. I have to get this checked out.
I was sleeping when Axel smacked me in the face. " I'm up! I'm up!" I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. " You sure you can go? You look like you're really hurting."
" I have to. Kyle may have been a traitor, but we still served together." I grabbed a tissue and coughed up some blood. " And yes. I am hurting badly." He helped me to the bathroom and handed me the suit Rarity made me a few days ago.
I put on the fancy suit and my shades. 'How long have I had these? Five years? Then again, why am I talking to myself? Oooh... Chest, fuck you!' I said in my head.
I went out the door and Ax helped me downstairs to the funeral.
It was only ponies Kyle and I really knew.
" You okay?" Rainbow asked me as I sat down. " Yeah. No. I'm doing terrible. I'm in a lot of pain. Problem is, I don't know what's causing it, though it might be an old injury or the Twilight incident."
Since Axel and I were the only ones who really knew Kyle, we were the only ones who went up to talk. I mostly toned out the whole place until the Axel asked me to come up.
He went over to my seat and helped me over to speak. " Kyle was always the one to help you out, though he never actually helped around town. We served together for about four years, until he got shot pretty bad, the General told him to go home and he did. Even though he was on the enemies side, we didn't want him to know the we were fully aware." I talked for a few minutes before it was time to bury him.
The plan was to bury him a bit inside of the Everfree forest, not too deep, just to where you could go and visit the grave site.
* 20 Minutes later *
Axel helped me back inside and sat me down in my chair. " Is he going to be alright? " I heard Rainbow quietly ask him. " I don't know. I never seen him this bad. I know for a fact he'll die before you. Humans normally live for around Eighty years. Seeing how he's turning Thirty-Six next week, I'd say he'll live maybe another Forty-Four years. Just saying." I chuckled and turned to face him.
" I'll tell you one thing, I'm not going down without a fight. No matter what, I'll always be in your heart." Just then, Twilight came through the door. " Jack, Princess Celestia wants to see you. " I sighed and got up from my chair slowly.
" This better be important." Twilight quickly saw I was in pain. " You okay? " " No." I simply replied. Then, a flash of light, and we were in the Castle.
" Jack, You're here. I need your help." I sighed again and waited. " We think the Diamond Dogs are planning something." Shining Armor spoke up. I waited a few seconds before replying. " What do want me to do?"
" You have experience in fighting." Celestia said. " That I do. Quite a bit. Now, What do you want me to do?" I repeated myself. " You also have highly trained soldiers. You need to send th-" I shushed him.
" They are for defence." I waited a second and leaned towards Shining. " Me and Axel are for offence." I slowly walked to a nearby map where Shining was. " Where are they?" He pointed to a spot a few miles from Ponyville. " You can send in some extra Guards if you'd like, but we'll head over stealthily. Celestia, I need your help too." I turned to face her.
" Help with what?" " I constantly have really bad pain in my chest, any way you can help?" She nodded her head and came close to me. " I can dull it, if that helps." She put her hoof on my chest and some magic hit me and dulled the pain.
" Thanks. Now, I have a plan to make. Twilight, mind taking us home?" " Before you go," Shining stopped me. " Good luck." " Won't need it." We hoof-bumped and I turned back to Celestia. " Get ready to see Twilight a bunch too." I added.
" Also, Shining, meet me here." I pointed to the base of a ridge and we teleported back to my place.
" Axel, follow me." He followed me downstairs to a room that had a map, and two chairs. We both sat down as Dash and Twilight came through the doors. " Mind if we watch? I want to see how humans do things related to war." I nodded and they came close to the table.
** Warning, The following is not necessary to read, as it just contains dialogue and battle planning and other stupid bullshit. **
" We can have my team set up a defensive line here to here," I pointed to two spots on the map. " While me and you head up this ridge. Now Twilight, I need you to relay information to Celestia. First, I need to now if Celestia wants these Diamond Dogs killed, or captured." " You're in command." She told me before teleporting off.
" Rainbow, I need you as Recon, meaning you go high up and scout, then come back to me with what you saw alright?" I asked her. " Sure." She replied
" What about terrain?" Axel asked me. " We don't know if we'll be above or below them." " We'll cross that bridge went we come to it." I told him as Twilight came back. " She said it's up to you."
" Then we'll also need Tranquilizer rounds. I want to capture some of them for Interrogation at the Castle. Twilight, You know any invisibility spells?" She nodded. " Good, because you'll be close behind us so we can report to the Princesses. Sound like a plan team?"
" Sure." They all replied. " Axel, what weapons? I got plenty." He scratched his chin. " M16 Scoped and a side arm?"
" You got it. Tell my Team I'll be down in five." He ran out the door and I headed to the armory. " M16 with scope, and an M9 for Axel, for me an ACR with duel range scope, and M82 loaded with Tranq darts." I spoke to myself, grabbing weapons off the wall.
" 440 rounds of Thirty round STANAG, Sixty rounds of 9MM, and 20 Tranq darts." I grabbed the ammo and put it in ammo boxes. " I have to get changed out of this suit, I'll be right back." I went back upstairs and changed into a more suitable outfit and came back to the armory.
" Alright, follow me." I lead Rainbow and Twilight to the barracks where I handed an outfit to Axel. I explained the situation and where they would form the line. " Cloud Chaser, You're leading the defence team."
We headed out to the base of the ridge with Rainbow and Twilight and met with Shining again. " Alright. Rainbow, get up there and tell me what you see. Shining, we leave at night, you can tag along if you'd like, see how we humans do things."
We waited around a fire as night approched. Shining decided to stick with us too.
* Midnight *
" Shh... Hear that?" I heard a howl. " Yeah, what was that?" Twilight Asked. " Diamond dogs, they're coming towards us, put out the fire." Axel put out the fire as we heard another howl.
" Quickly, get under my wings. They won't be able to see you." I laid face down on the ground and spread my wings to hide them. " They're going away. Come on, We're going stealth." We started crawling towards the top of the ridge.
" I know it's not comfortable, but we have to do it."
We soon reached the top of the ridge and I could now see our situation.
" Okay, looks like we have a height advantage. Ax, silencers." I reached in my pocket and pulled out Two weapon silencers and fitted them on to our weapons.
" You spot, I shoot." I told him as he grabbed binoculars and began spotting. " Isolated target, Five-Zero-Eight. Fire." I took a shot and hit the Dog in the head.
" Good hit good hit. Group of Five, Four-Zero-Zero. Fire." Five hits, five kills. " Five down, Looks like the head-honcho, Group of... Eight it looks like. Fire." " No, we'll need that group alive. Good thing there aren't many Dogs here. Rainbow, how many did you see?" I asked her.
" Fifteen." " That was only fourteen, where's the last one?" I Looked around a bit and saw it. " I see it, taking the shot." Hit. " Okay, Shining, get your Guards over there."
" They're already moving." " Let's go!" We got up and started running towards the last few Dogs.
" Reloadin'!" I yelled out as I saw Shining's squad heading to attack
" Get down or I will kill you!" We slowed down and raised our weapons. The lead Diamond Dog snarled and swatted the gun out of my hands. What happened next was normal for me.
It was like the entire world stopped. " You couldn't do it. You could never do it. You are defenceless, now you will die." A voice I knew told me. " General, what a pleasant surprise. How are you today? Like I've said before, No can do." It was the General I had killed years ago.
Time came back to normal as the Diamond Dog swatted at me again. I grabbed the Magnum from my pocket. " Eat lead you oversized Bulldog!" I yelled as I blew a hole in his head.
I holstered the gun and grabbed my Rifle loaded with Tranq rounds and took a shot, hitting the lead Dog in the chest and knocking him out.
Axel and Shining's soldiers killed the rest of the Diamond Dogs and Twilight got ready to teleport us all the the castle, where Guards were waiting to take the dog.
" Ready?" " Ready." I said as we teleported out.
I was pushed over and hit the ground hard, knocking me out. " Well, that can't be good." " Ah, he'll be fine." I heard faint voices say.
** Pointless Bullshit over. **
I woke up in the morning, sitting in my chair next to Axel, who was sleeping on the floor. " You're up. Finally. You had me worried." A voice said to me. " Luna? What are doing here?" " You were out for almost a week. You must've hit the ground pretty hard. We stayed and watched you." I got up and noticed something.
" I'm not in pain..." I examined my body. Nothing was missing. " What happened?" Luna came over and hugged me. " Twilight Sparkle took you to her library and saved you." She sniffled, almost as if she was crying.
She broke off the hug. " It was a day long operation. When she hit you with that magic bolt, It began slowly killing you. She nearly killed you, but in return, saved you from her own magic." I saw Twilight sleeping on the floor, along with Spike, AJ, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rainbow, Rarity, and even Celestia.
" We stayed here for the whole time, hoping you would wake up." " It'll take more than that to bring me down." I sat back down in the chair. " You keep saying that Jack. You worry me." I saw Twilight start waking up.
" I have a song from back on Earth. I'd like for you to hear it. It's not made by me, It's a song about war. I'll put it on tomorrow, which is my birthday. Sound like a plan?" She nodded at me. " I'd like to hear it."
* The next day, Jack's 36th birthday. *
I stood outside my front door, ready to walk into a surprise party. ' Pinkie Pie, what have done for my birthday?' I asked myself as I opened the door. " SURPRISE!" A bunch of ponies popped up from hiding.
I smiled and walked to Pinkie. " You did this in a day? Impressive." " Yep! So, how are you feeling?" She asked, just as crazy as ever. " Much better. Though, I will say, it's not the first time I nearly died. Let's see, it's the... Fifteenth time. It is the first time someone ever threw me a birthday party though." I went over to Luna.
" You said you had a song?" Luna asked. " Indeed I do." I slammed my hand on the nearby table and a song started playing. I saw the whole house, including my entire squad, look over to a large stereo system.
" Never know when your going need that. " I said myself as the song came on. " This is called Warriors of the World by Manowar. I like it. Thought I'd share it with all of you." I walked over to where Axel was sitting.
" How you feeling?" He asked. " Been worse. " I replied. " I know you have." He hugged me.
" Awkward." I broke off from the hug and dusted myself off. " I really thought we lost you. You scare me." I let out a laugh. " I don't got time to die. Too important for that shit."
Then Rainbow came over to us. " Jack, I need to talk to you." Rainbow told me. " In private."
We went downstairs so she could talk to me.
" Promise not to be angry?" I nodded. " Well... I'm pregnant." I stared at her. Nothing more. " Why would I be angry about that?" I smiled, then it hit me. " Right... Human-pony hybrid... I'll ask Twilight." But she stopped me before I could get back up.
" Rainbow, they're your best friends. They have to find out sooner or later." She sighed. " I guess."
I headed back upstairs.
" Twilight. I need your help. Any chance of a human-pony hybrid occurring? " " No way." I smiled. " She is, and we need to know."
" I'll research it and get back to you tomorrow!" Twilight quickly headed home to research it. " What did she say?" " She'll get back to us tomorrow." I turned around and went back to where Axel was sitting.
AJ came up as I sat in a chair. " Rainbow told me yer gonna be a father." " You heard right." I hoof bumped her.
Nothing else really happened the rest of the day. I just waited around, some ponies asked questions while I answered them.
Night came, all the ponies left, Rainbow was in bed, Axel was passed out on the floor. " Damn I'm tired." I slowly walked to the bed and fell asleep.
* Next Morning. *
I was the first to wake up today and I made breakfast as Axel woke up. " How's it feel to be Thirty Six? " He asked me. " Same as being Thirty Five." I shook my head.
" So. Jack is going to be a dad." " Indeed I am." Just then, Twilight came through the door. " Whoa. Jack, you need to comb your mane." Ax sat down and grabbed a plate of food and wolfed it down.
" You know." I wiped some blood off of my forehead. Wait, blood? " With the whole mane thing, Rainbow and I are completely opposite. She likes to have it look nice, I like to have the " Don't mess with my friends or I'll rip out your throat." Look." I got up and grabbed a mirror to check out where the blood was from.
" Meh." I shrugged. " So, give me news." I combed the hair off away from my eyes. " It's a really low chance that it could happen, but it's still a chance." I put the mirror down as Rainbow came down.
" You know, there's one thing I miss about Earth." " What's that?" Axel grabbed a cup and filled it with coffee. " I know I shouldn't miss it but, I miss the wars there. It's all I had in life." Just then, Luna came through the door.
" We need you at the Castle. I heard you miss the wars. "
Back at the Castle, it was everything but calm. " This way!" I sprinted after Luna to try to keep up. I saw Guards suiting up for battle everywhere.
" We cleared a room for you to lay plans down. " I slowed down as I saw the large room, filled with maps and Guarded by four ponies. " Manehatten has been half destroyed by our enemies. We don't know what they are, but we need your experience in wars." " Leave me to it." I said as large doors closed behind me.
" Take a seat." A voice told me. " Welcome to SBC Captain. SBC means Strategic Battle Command. " I took a seat and got the run down of the war.
From what I understand, we are now at war with an unknown enemy. That's about all the Information they had. Because I was skilled in combat planning, they let me into the Castle's Defence program.
" Leave me alone to deal with this. " I commanded them. Rainbow and her friends came through the doors to figure out the situation.
" I have some bad news. We are at war with an unknown enemy. They put me in command of the allies. " I think they almost past out at that point. " I'm going to be in this one room, or on the battle field. Here. Wear these. They'll allow you to talk with me remotely." I handed them all radios to communicate with me.
I spent days in that room, sometimes Rainbow and her friends would come and visit me. I never left that room though, except to go the the bathroom, to eat, or to sleep.
* A month later *
I headed home for the first time to spend some time with Rainbow and others. The past month was a tough time to cope with, for all of us.
" I don't know. The outcome doesn't look too good at this point. " " Don't say that. " Rainbow asked me. " It's the truth. I know you're afraid of losing me, but I have to do this. I think I can change this war though. I know what they want Dash. It's not about control or anything like that. They want me. It's just like Earth, I'm the enemies worst nightmare. They want to kill me and Axel." I tried to reassure her everything was going to be fine.
" I don't want you to die. " " Rainbow, I'm not going to die! You know I'm not scared of many things. They don't scare me. I will fight to the death, and dammit!" I shot up from my chair and took out my gun. " We aren't going to lose this war! I won't allow it! We have a damn good army!" Axel slapped me across the face and looked into my eyes.
" And what if we lose?!" I saw tears forming in Rainbows eyes and looked back at my old friend. " And you're doubting me? How many times have I saved the U.S.? Many! And you listen to me. I have to run an extremely important operation. It could change the tide of this war. I'm going to need all the help I can get."
I saw all of my teammates get up. " We're in this together." Rainbow told me. " Rainbow, you can't go. You have another life in you. I can't risk losing you." " And what about them?!" She pointed at the ponies beside her and tears began falling from her eyes.
" They don't have to go! I'm not forcing them to go! I need to protect you and the rest of Equestria! You think this is easy for me to do? It's not, you don't know how much I have resting on my shoulders! " She opened her mouth to try and talk, but I didn't let her. " No! You don't! I need to get this operation underway ASAP. I have to go." I stormed out of the house and flew as fast as I could back to the war room to plan it out.
I pushed the doors open and sat down. ' They don't know how much I have sitting on my shoulders.' I covered my face and sat there for a minute.
* The next Morning * The council came in early today to plan. " I know what I need to do. " I looked up at the council members. " Get me my Tank Armor. They want me, they're going to get me."
I got suited up in my heaviest armor I had and contacted the house. " Rainbow, everypony else, they're going to get a present from me. A present of death." I put my hat and shades on as Axel came on.
" Jack, I'm going with you. We fought together before." " This is different Axel." I walked outside to see the bright sun and my teammates. " How is that?" My team followed close behind. They knew what they were in for.
" This is personal." My third in command handed me a long steel sword and I put it on my back. " Jack I'm not letting you go out there alone. I'll be right there." Axel came and I got him a suit of Tank Armor.
" Let's do this. Hold on tight, I can handle this. "
We all flew together into Manehatten to see the commander of the enemy. We landed and instantly started fighting. While Axel and I went for the leader, my team went to help the local forces.
I was carrying an Equestrian Flag and an ACR on my back and Axel had, Ironicly, a War Axe and a Sword.
" Targets fifty feet ahead! Charge!" I yelled and ran towards the leader.
* A Month Later *
The leader got away, and since the war was early on, plus they only captured Manehatten, which meant with their small force they were all in one place. We spent a month fighting and we now had all of the city except one place.
" All of you, finish their army. I will take out the commander! " I sprinted into the building and went to the leader who was at the roof of the building.
" We're in this together!" Axel yelled at my side. We fought our way to the roof and Axel stayed behind.
" I See hi-Ugh!" I was hit in the head with a blunt object and was knocked down. " Any last words? " The leader came towards me. I got up slowly and removed my damaged helmet to reveal blood running down my head.
" Yeah." I grabbed the Sword off my back and Impaled him through the lower chest with it. " Don't fuck with me. " I felt a knife go into my chest and I looked him in his eyes. " Nngh." I grunted as the Sword came out his back and he stopped breathing.
I fell to the ground and crawled to the front of the roof, knife still in my chest. Thoughts swirled in my head about Rainbow. ' You just stormed out like that. Now you're going to die with a knife in your chest.' I reached the front and planted the flag as Axel got to me.
" Jack!" I heard him yell faintly. He threw me over my shoulders and I passed out.
I woke up in the hospital a week later, Rainbow sitting next to me and a doctor checking on me. " Did we win?" She nodded and smiled. " Damn right we did."
* Another Fucking Month Later *
I was back home and Celestia came by with a little surprise. " We wanted to give you this." She floated a shining medal to me. " Axel helped us with it. Told us it was the highest prestige medal on Earth. I think he called it the Medal of Honor."
" Thank you but," I handed the Medal back to her. " I don't think I deserve this." " What do you mean? You fully deserve it. No living thing in all of Equestria has ever come close to what you did. Jack, you need to give yourself credit. You ended the war." I Got up and looked her in the eyes.
" I am giving myself credit. For your information, I didn't win the war. We won the war. I just planted a flag and added another kill to my name." I saw Dash get up and tend to Star Fire, Our new colt.
" Those ponies had the power to cripple us. They just needed the numbers to do it. Take the Medal. " I sighed and put the Medal of Honor on the table.
" You've done Equestria a favor. How can we repay you?" I smiled and came up with an idea. " How about this, you talk to Dash and see what she wants. Sound good?" I did Equestria a favor? I call bullshit. Celestia went to talk to Rainbow and I sat down in my chair.
" When I'm buried they better have Two F-35s doing barrel rolls overhead and a 17 gun salute. " I said to myself as another pony came through the door.
" You must be Jack." I saluted her and nodded. " I'm the Mayor of Manehatten and I just wanted to say thank you. For everything." " It's nothing. I'm just doing what I do best." After that, Celestia and the mayor both left and I went into a flashback.
* Flashback *
" Echo 1, where are you?" My team and I were heading to rendezvous with an Army team who were waiting near an enemy encampment where the Russians were holding civilians and a British SAS team hostage. " Hold your asses, we're pulling up now." The plan was for me and Ryder to take out Two targets stealthily and take their clothing to infiltrate.
" Glad you could make it Captain. What's the plan?" I didn't reply, So he got worried. " You... have a plan right?" " Of course I have a plan. If that doesn't work, we always have plan B. Ryder, let's move." We got a spot where three men were standing. " You take the left." I took a large rock and threw it at a Guards head, knocking him out. For the other man, I stabbed him in the back.
Five minutes later we moved into the base dressed as the enemy with AK-47s. We blended right in. " Follow my lead, and let me do the talking." I walked past the checkpoint and saw the target as a few men stopped us.
" Павел, ты где был? Получить больше на заключенных и допрашивать их!" " Да, сэр! " ' Interrogate them, right. A.K.A. Bust them out.' I signaled for Cliff to follow me " They want us to Interrogate the team. Let's go break them out." I saw the Army team taking positions for sniper support.
" What do you want from me?" We walked into a small green tent that smelled like dead people covered in shit. " We're here to bust you out. Looks like we're just in time too. " I threw my AK to him and heard sirens outside. " Go go go!" Ryder unlocked the medal gate as I took place at the tent flap.
" Echo 1, tangos heading your way!" Bullets ripped by, one of them hitting me in the arm. " I'm hit! Get them out of here! I'll be fine!" I grabbed the Colt 1911 from my pocket and covered them while they escaped. " Plan B gentlemen." An explosion nearby.
" Fuck! Echo 1 get out of there!" I sprinted out of the tent to the helicopter. " Get us out of here!" The pilot tried to take off but couldn't. " We're too heavy! They'll tear us apart!" I nodded and me and Ryder jumped back off to get to the ground Exfil point.
Another bullet ripped through my body. " That's it! You're starting to piss me off! PLAN C MOTHERFUCKER!" A large truck pulled up behind me with the back covered. " I think." I climbed up and slipped under the tarp. " That you picked the wrong side." The passenger pulled down the tarp to reveal my Baby. A 50. Caliber Anti Aircraft gun and I started firing.
A few hundred rounds later I hopped out and high fived the driver. " Nice job Jack. " " Always a pleasure. Before we go," I pulled out my Colt and fired a bullet into the base. " Leave them a reminder who they're fucking with." We started walking to the Exfil as planned.
" Jack, I think you missed with that last shot." Ryder looked back at the base. " No I didn't." I adjusted my hat as the base exploded.
* Present day. *
"Ngh!" I shot up from my chair to see Applejack. " Oh. Hey AJ. What's up?" I yawned. " Ah heard you got a Medal a some sort for what ya did at Manehatten." " Oh, yeah. The Medal of Honor. I gotta say, I really don't think I deserve it." I showed her the shiny Medal and handed it to her.
" Captain Jack Fire fought through many ponies ta raise a flag and take out the enemy commander, and almost the entire enemy army to reclaim the city of Manehatten." " It was nothing. I did what I do best. I've seen worse." She placed the Medal back down on the table and turned to me.
" Ah came because the Princess wanted to talk to ya. She's waiting outside." I sighed and walked outside to see Celestia waiting for me. " I asked your friend Axel about Earth Military ranks. I wanted to promote you to Major." My eyebrow shot up like a rocket. " I believe you have earned this promotion based on what he has told me." She handed me a Major rank pin. " Fine. I'll take it. I'm now Major Jack Fire." I smiled. " Sweet. Anything else?" I put my Captain one in my pocket and attached the Major one on.
" Yes. Could you demonstrate those weapons you have?" We headed down to the Firing Range and demonstrated some weaponry.
" What do you think? " " I don't know. You said they are made for killing." I could tell she was a bit worried. " Yeah. It's all we really did on Earth. There wasn't complete peace like there is here. We killed for it. These are just for war situations. Though, I do always carry one with me. You never know when your going to need it."
Not much happened for a while. I mostly stayed home for a week until we got together for lunch at Sugarcube Corner.
" So what's happening?" We sat down at the table and I unwrapped an MRE. " Not much. Winters coming soon." The waiter came by took their orders, of course since they don't sell meat, I gave Ax one too.
" Rainbow, remember how I told you about the trapdoor under our bed?"
" Yeah, what about it?" " Inside of that room is a box. Inside of that box, is the most powerful weapon in the universe. It can destroy worlds. It got past down from my father to me, trusted to protect it with my life. The worst part is knowing the war that took place Two months ago was caused my me. Those ponies wanted me on their side in order to destroy the world. I made this," I grabbed an odd looking medal piece from under my shirt and showed it to them.
" To stop me if I ever tried to use that weapon. It would inject a special made poison that my father created into my bloodstream, traveling to my head, and overriding my brain to destroy the weapon. I want all of you to promise me that if the poison failed, you would kill me and destroy that weapon." I attached the injector back onto my chest.
" Why would ya ever use it though?" Applejack asked me. I sighed and told her " Anger can take over your body sometimes. Would you kill me if I tried to use it?" " Ah guess..." I stared her in the eyes and frowned. " Fine. Ah would."
" I need to tell you all something else. This is the one place I've ever been happy in life. Earth can explode for all I care. I just want one more thing. And that is for these damn spies to stop watching me!" A pony jumped down from a tree outside and ran as fast as possible away.
" What are greatest secrets you have ever wanted to know? Because I can tell you the truth of them." " Aliens." I put my hand on Axel's head and focused.
" Aliens crashed in Roswell New Mexico, 1947. Two bodies found and transported to Groom Lake Nevada, also known as Area 51, I know everything man. Want to know how you die? If you stayed on Earth a man by the name of John Smith would have killed you. Anyone else? Ask me anything."
" Will I ever be famous?" Rainbow asked me. " In the future you become known all around Equestria for your sonic rainboom, Fluttershy becomes the best vet for injured animals, Twilight becomes a famous Scientist working in the Castle, Rarity becomes a famous tailor, Applejack becomes a famous cook, Pinkie... I really don't know which is odd, and I become a semi-known war hero. Basically, all of you become famous, including you Axel. You become famous for something. I don't know what. I'm the only one who doesn't become known pretty much. I just get known for war. Interesting isn't it?"
" You don't get famous? You really should." Twilight told me. I chuckled lightly and looked at her. " For what? Killing?" " There's got to be something." " That's the thing Twilight. I don't ever become famous. I shouldn't be either. Who wants to be known for killing? Best thing I get even close to famous is known for being related to the Princesses. Nothing else."
Then I heard a banging on the door so I looked through the hole.
" No. No no no NO! This is bad!" " What's happening?" Axel asked me " A very bad thing, worse than you can imagine. All of you, barricade the doors!"
" What's happening?!" He asked again. " The real question is, can I save you?! Because yes! I can! For a price!" " What price?!" I stopped in my tracks.
" The ultimate price. The price of me. Those things are here to take me." The doors exploded, and before you knew it, I was gone. I left a note on the ground for them.
" Jack here, I'll be gone for a long time. They've taken me away to a place no living thing has ever escaped. I might be back in a week, I might be back in a few years, I don't know. You should know this though, I am fine. I'm not dead, I'll be back. Know that, and you will be fine. " Rainbow read out loud. " He's... gone." She began to cry as her friends comforted her.
It would be a long time before I saw her face again.
* 7 months later. *
I knocked on the front door to see Rainbow open it and her face light up. " You're alive!" She shouted and the rest of the Mane Six saw me. " Where were you?" " Away. I'm here now. That's all that matters. How's Star?"
" He's in school right now. He's going to get a surprise."
An hour of chatting later, Star came through the door.
" Dad! What happened? Where'd you go?" He gave me a big hug and smiled. " There's something you should know about humans. Humans are a tough species to beat. If I were a pony, what happened that day would have killed me. If I were normal it would have killed me."
